Atsumu is a whiny complainer at heart, so whenever you creep your frigid feet underneath his thighs while watching a movie, he’s doing exactly that: whine and complain. But he never pushes you away or moves his legs. Instead he drapes the blanket higher over you and tugs it in, his warm palms running up and down your calves caringly. He’s also bought you numerous pairs of fuzzy socks and cosy blankets, worrying aloud about your health and blood flow, especially in winter. Then again, it is a good excuse to pull you in closer and bundle you up in his comfy clothes, so who is he to complain, really?

Offering you his food x Miya Osamu

Osamu takes his food very seriously, still, he offers you the first bite without fail. You’re also his most important critic, always getting to taste test his creations, whether it’s for his shop or just for the two of you. He might roll his eyes playfully when you eye his food after saying you’re not hungry but he’ll still share. After all, seeing the content expression on your face as you chew your (or his) food is one of his favourite things.

The fact that Suna has a near infinite amount of unflattering candids and other blackmail material of his friends on his phone is something you’re well aware of. So it shouldn’t be surprising either that he is digging up the most cursed reaction pics or posts to send them to you with nothing but ‘u’ following it. But, among all the weird stuff, he sends you cute animals cuddling and tags them with ‘us’. Every time you respond with ‘that could be us but you’re at practice’, his teammates come up to ask what he’s smiling about.

Buying flowers without occasion x Kita Shinsuke

Kita doesn’t believe in letting societally accepted commercial holidays dictate when he buys you flowers or chocolates or takes you out on a date. No, he prefers showing his love for you equally all year round. Oftentimes, that means you coming home to a bouquet of flowers or being told to keep your calendar clear for the weekend. To him, grand shows of affection once a year pale in comparison to a steady stream of adoration. After all, your relationship is built on the small acts of love you share each day.

Taking weird photos with his phone x Oikawa Tōru

There’s no room to argue that Oikawa and you trust each other blindly. Considering the circumstances of his career and the vigour of his adoring fans, you kinda have to. You’re not sure if you’re really all that helpful as you shuffle around your living room, handing Iwa water or a towel as he powers through his at home workout. Maybe ogling his biceps or the way his tank top clings to the defined pecs and abs underneath is what you contribute to this training session. Well, you’re good at that, anyway. But your time to shine comes as Iwa asks you to hold onto his legs as he does sit-ups, giving you an even better view. All your hard work is rewarded with the kiss he presses to your lips each time he leans up. 

“Is this guy bothering you” x Matsukawa Issei

Whenever you stub your toe on the edge of a drawer or bump your hip into the edge of a table, hissing at the shock and/or pain, Matsukawa is right beside you in seconds. Then, after assessing you’re not actually hurt, he turns towards the offending object with a glare. With his voice lowered by an octave or two, he’ll ask “Is this guy bothering you” before pretending to get ready for a fight with the big bad. It’s corny but you’d lie if you said it didn’t make you laugh.

Music is Semi’s passion, naturally he wants to share that part of his life with you. Not only does he play his own songs for you, he also shares his headphones with you, adding all the songs you like to your shared playlist. You’ve also started making recommendation playlists or playlists with songs that remind you of the other and swap them regularly. Driving with Semi is also the most fun, especially on late summer nights with the windows down, going nowhere in particular.

Understanding each other without words x Kozume Kenma

To outsiders, conversations between Kenma and you might seem a little court or even incomprehensible. He just happens to be the type that lets his actions speak rather than his words, unless he gets really fired up about something. Still, your communication seems to work perfectly - or maybe both of you just share a brain cell. Questions like “Have you seen my…” can just be left hanging like this as you’re already pointing out that his old Nekoma sweatpants are in the wash. Daichi is a busy guy, often out of the house before you wake up or back in after you go to sleep. Depending on which shift he has to work and how your schedules line up, you might not see much of each other for some time. But that won’t stop him from being the sweetest partner, instead sending you good morning and good night texts as well as updates on his day/night, if he has the time. It’s something that came with the territory of not living together before, but the practice never really retired. Equally, it puts him in a good mood to see you update him on your day as well.

Bragging about you x Sugawara Kōshi

Suga is your number one fan, no doubt about it. Not only is he vocal about that to you but also everybody else, whether you’re there or not. Daichi and Asahi are kind of used to it already, but there is always some new unfortunate soul who gets to experience just how smitten he is with you. He never makes it uncomfortable but weaves his praise for you naturally into a conversation. And if it flusters you, that’s just all the better. Although, lately, the classes he’s teaching have picked up on it and are trying to stall for time by asking questions about you.

This probably started out as something entirely practical. After moving in together, Sakusa just started labelling stuff, writing grocery shopping lists and sticking them to the fridge, especially on days where he left early for practice. By the time you pointed out he could just text you at any given time, he’d already gotten used to this little habit of his. But his messages had slowly turned from chore-related to reminding you to take care of yourself or informing you he prepped lunch for you to just telling you he loves you. The first time he wrote that last one, he blinked down at the note for a few moments before sticking it to the mug cabinet.

Obviously, Komori wishes his job wouldn’t pull him away from you as often as it does. Though that being said, it also makes coming home after an away game all that sweeter and he feels like the constant change of pace makes him cherish the moments you do get to spend together more than he already does. And he appreciates that you can indulge him, both in his lifestyle and whenever he gets a sudden burst of energy. So yeah, now you’re bundled up in one of his hoodies as you go on a late night snack run, your hand in his as you walk along the calm streets.

Futakuchi comes pre-installed with an attitude, no matter who you are to him, it’s his factory setting. Keishin has got to be one of the most supportive partners ever. Whatever you set your mind to or whichever hobby you dive into, he’s there to root for you. But he doesn’t stop there; he reads up on your interests, so he can actively participate in the conversation when you talk about them. Similarly, he also adapts to your lifestyle and tries to show up for you in all walks of life. You, on the other hand, also get involved in his life too; his parents were keen to meet you, considering they hounded Keishin to get married in his 20s already. He’d also be over the moon if you showed interest in his work as a coach and met the Karasuno Volleyball Club.

Kuroo Tetsurō adamantly declares he’s a dog person. Complains about cat hair on his suit and stinky litter boxes to no end. But every night it’s the same routine. After dinner you two sit on the couch watching whatever with your cat nestled perfectly against his broad chest, his long fingers rubbing velvety ears, purring away. Little kisses to the top of your cat’s head. Disturb the fur baby and you get a withering glare from your man.

Akaashi Keiji uses your cat as his personal therapist. Especially when the mangaka he’s supposed to be working with fails to turn in their work on time. From long nights editing, your man and your cat have irrevocably bonded. You swear he’s become nocturnal, but glad he has a companion for those all nighters. The cat tree was even moved to right beside his desk. If he’s not careful, your cat will drink his coffee.

Had Suna Rinartō not become a professional volleyball player, you swear he should have become a photographer. His two favorite models? You and your cat. If he’s ever home alone expect to be bombarded with adorable sleeping kitty pics. You can’t even be mad when you see his phone gallery has more pictures of your cat than you. His wallpaper is you and your fur baby curled up together for a nap.

Kita Shinsuke smiles when your cat welcomes him home every day from the rice fields. A little chirp and head butt before prancing away. He also spoils her rotten, sneaking her bits of meat from your dinner. You’d scold him for it but because of their dynamic your cat now listens to him more often than you. Kitty doesn’t dare misbehave when he’s home. And you can’t hate his gentle smile while petting your cat either.

Miya Atsumu tries and fails to be indifferent to your fur baby. However, he gets insanely jealous if your cat is in your lap when he wants attention. Your man will even sulk if you refuse to move the sleeping fur baby. He came up with the idea of buying more cat toys to distract your cat with so he can cuddle you more. Now your cat expects toys from him every time he comes back from an away game trip. He gets swatted if he comes back empty handed.

Even after a long day Miya Osamu insists on making your cat’s food. None of that canned or bagged nonsense. At times you think your cat dines better than you do. Your fur baby even gets first dibs on any leftovers from Onigiri Miya. He insists it’s because a cat’s diet is different than a humans’ and they can only have particular things. If your cat ever turns up their nose at anything he makes, he gets extremely offended.

You’re used to Iwaizumi Hajime and your cat having daily staring competitions. After coming home from a long day working with athletes, your fur baby meets him at the door. His intense stare matching your cat’s feline one both unblinking. It isn’t until your cat yawns and begins grooming that he sighs with relief and passes by. You can’t help but chuckle at your beefy man silently asking permission from your cat to enter his own home.

Oikawa Tōru treats your cat like a peer. Ranting about the woes of being famous as if only your kitty could ever relate. He acknowledges the little meows as part of a serious conversation. Interrupt that communication and receive a scathing look. He will scoop your cat up and sashay from the room venting about how peasants could never understand their plight. You can’t help but laugh when he pretends your cat’s opinion means more than yours.

Every time Oikawa asks Iwaizumi to take a picture of him, it’s never just one picture—it’s at least a dozen between his “Iwa-chan, you’ve got to tell me if I’m backlit!” and “Hold the phone straight, Iwa-chan, don’t tilt it!” and “I need a different background” and “Are you getting my shoes in the shot, Iwa-chan?” and “Wait, is live photo on?”

And while Iwaizumi always protests, giving him an exasperated glare with his own retorts like, “How can you be backlit when it’s cloudy?” and “I’ll tilt your face if you don’t fucking stand still” and “I swear, I’m going to punch you” and “Yes, your damn shoes are in the shot”, deep down, he doesn’t really mind.

Oikawa is beautiful. Incredibly beautiful. He has a striking physical charm that makes anyone turn for a second glance. He’s naturally photogenic, always has been. There’s no picture where he truly looks bad, not even that one from when he was three, crying his eyes out in front of a piece of cake spilled on the floor, snot dripping, his face flushed red.

That’s why Iwaizumi can’t help but smile a little bit every time he frames Oikawa in the photo and presses the button to capture him. He likes how Tooru smiles at his phone, genuine and soft. Or how he tries to seem distracted, looking away while shaking his hands. Or when he puts his hands to the waistband of his jeans, adjusting it, and lowers his head slightly, as if paying attention to what he’s doing. Or, his favorite, when he tilts his chin up and lets the sun kiss him completely, closing one eye and subtly shielding his face with one hand as he smiles.

Or he turns to the side and looks over his shoulder at the camera, that intense gaze paired with a playful smile curling his lips. Or he sticks his tongue out naughtily and flashes a victory sign. Or, when he’s sitting, he spreads his long legs with feigned carelessness, his arms resting on his thighs as he looks off to the side, his head tilted just enough to show more of his pale neck. Or he leans against the wall, pretending to be interested in what’s going on around him, hands clasped behind his back. Or he walks forward, one hand in the pocket of his pants and the other holding one of his favorite bubble tea.

No matter how he poses, even when he’s being a goof, Hajime always thinks about how beautiful, handsome, cute, and stunning he is. And sometimes, when Tooru isn’t being so damn picky about the angles, the background, or the pose, he says it out loud. And just that—a soft “you’re beautiful”—is enough to leave Oikawa speechless, his eyes wide, with a blush creeping from his neck all the way to his eyebrows.

(And if, while Tooru's babbling incoherently pretending the compliments don’t affect him, Hajime Airdrops all the photos to himself to choose a new wallpaper, well, he doesn’t say a word.)

You opened the door with a smile, watching the two boys who had just arrived. You let them in, letting them relax after a long day of his practice, you got off because you had a doctor's appointment and since you had time in the morning you decided to hang out with your boyfriends later.

You prepared some food, blankets, and a movie, knowing that Kindaichi liked to cuddle with you two while you watched Disney and that Kunimi wanted to rest tucked up like a burrito.

Kindaichi carried your and laid you next to him, hugging your waist and resting his chin in the crook of your neck. Kunimi clicked his tongue, kicking the other boy a little, who rolled his eyes at him, moving you so that you were between them.

You chuckled softly covering your mouth, you planted a kiss on each other's cheek

"You two are fools."

It was funny for you to see how they always wanted to be with you, despite knowing that they also liked each other.

When the popcorn ran out, you got up to make more, distracted by watching how the object moved in the microwave, you were startled when you felt hands on your waist. You relaxed as felt Kunimi's face against your back, radiating warmth from the blanket he was wrapped in.

"That's why I deserve an award."

You raised an amused brow, rolling your eyes at how he leaned a little closer to you, you gave a little peak when the sound of the microwave rang. When you came back Kindaichi had a small pout, you kissed him to stop being upset, continuing with the movie you ended up half asleep, hugging a cushion while the two boys looked at each other.

Kunimi sighed, approaching the contrary to plant a soft kiss on his lips, causing a blush in the taller one, he was still nervous because of his partner's affection. You shriek snapped them out of heir trance, you held the phone in your hands with a bright smile.

"Now I have a new lockscreen wallpaper!"

You picked up the phone, showing the photo of both boys, just at the precise moment of the kiss.

Yahaba & Kentaro

It was Kentaro who take care both of you, he always looked down on people who approached Yahaba or you. When no one was around he was as meek as a puppy, but it was better not to go near one of his partners or he was capable of biting someone in the eye.

The three of you spend a lot of time together, most of the time Yahaba and you were together, since you shared that taste for retouching your hair a lot, so you two ended up going to the hairdresser together. Kentaro would only join when he had to dye his hair again.

Even so, the three of you always went out to walk the boy's dogs, you enjoyed petting them and holding onto his leash so that the boys could walk hand in hand. Like now, you were on the grass playing with the dogs, occasionally smiled when you saw your boyfriends spending time together.

You were the most affectionate and youi really liked that Kentaro spent time with Yahaba as well as with you, since at first he was a little reluctant to be with the other. (just guys trying to deny their feelings, nothing new)

A yawn came out of your mouth, lying down on the grass and being crushed by one of the puppies, who tried to lick your face. You tried to push the dog away, until a whistle made it step back. You caught Kentaro's typical scow, laughing quietly you approached him to hug him while Yahaba took care of the animals.

"Can we have dinner out today?"

They both looked at each other shrugging their shoulders, you smiled passing an arm around their waists, placing yourself in the middle of them.

"Where can we go then?"

You remained thoughtful for a few seconds, not knowing exactly what to answer to Yahaba.

"Fried chicken."

You two laughed at Kyotani mad expression, which was serious even though inside he was probably looking forward to having his request granted.

"Okay, then to KFC."

After releasing the dogs at home, you walked to the fast food place, to order whatever Kyotani wanted, because yes, you both consented him as much as you could, but it was impossible to deny something to such a baby with a murderous expression.

"Oi leave some chicken for the others!"

He grunted in response, devouring the chicken wings, throwing one at Yahaba, causing you to nearly choke out with your drink. You had to stop them, used to these little fights, being the one who had to scold them when they did something stupid, that is, almost all the time.

Hanamaki & Matsukawa

Mattsun was asleep, as he usually did after returning home. You and Makki looked at each other complicitly, while you had the cell phone in your hand he held a foam can. You silently counted to three to start recording, first he put the foam in one of Matsun hands and then he tickled his face. He woke up with a face full of shaving foam, frowning.

You two started to laugh and run, Mattsun didn't like being woken up like that. He caught you first, carrying you like a sack of potatoes, dumped you onto the couch.

“P-please have mercy!"

“Mercy was never an option."

You ended up crying and writhing on the sofa because of his unbearable tickling, now it was Makki who was recording with a smile until he saw how his boyfriend turned to look at him with a smile.

"Takahiro, honey."

Matsukawa crooned blinking repeatedly, even as he ran off you cut him off quickly recovering from your fit of laughter.

"Oh, none of that, if I have suffered the punishment you too."

"That's not very brrr of you." he screamed when Mattsun attacked him from behind, you smirked as he cried with laughter "I-I feel betrayed."

He put a hand to his chest, pretending to be hurt, hunching his body and turning his back on Matsun and you. Matsukawa denied to his nonsense, going back to his nap, leaving a small kiss on both of your cheeks.

"Come on Makki, you can't be mad at me."

He looked at you, turning his back on you again, although it was so you wouldn't see his smile, he crossed his arms, sighing heavily, continuing with his performance. His lips curved more when he felt how your arms were attached to his body.

"Hanamaki."

You dragged the last letter of his name, tight him into your arms, wanting him to look at you. He couldn't take it any longer and turned around, squeezing your cheeks with a big smile, you yelled as felt how your face began to ache, slapping the boy.

"Rude." he frowned, but looked amused at his girlfriend to steal a kiss and run away like a real thief. "Hey come back here yo-"

"You're making a lot of noise, let's go to sleep."

Matsukawa interrupted you by carrying to the sofa to hug you and fall asleep. You sighed running your fingers through his black hair, falling asleep too, Makki snapped a photo of the moment from around the corner, smiling down at the image.

He covered you two with a blanket, after posting the photo on social media of his mentioning that he had the best relationship ever.

Iwaizumi & Oikawa

"Then, the handsome prince rescues the two ladies who are imprisoned in the castle and-"

"For the fifth time, I'm not going to rescue your ass, Oikawa."

"But Iwa-chan!"

You could only laugh at oikawa's pout and iwaizumi's frown. You were next to Oikawa, dressed as a 'princess' on top of the bed, while Iwaizumi had a cardboard sword in his hand, pretending to be a knight. Oikawa was so insistent on doing a theatrical performance, even though he was just denying that he wanted to play princesses, you couldn't help but do as he asked.

"At least, will you do it for her?"

He fixed his gaze on you, who smiled sweetly at him, causing a faint blush in his cheeks, he sighed. With Oikawa he became tougher because he had known him since he was a fetus, but he was softer with you when it came to doing things, basically he couldn't deny you things because you were too cute, or at least not as irritating as his boyfriend.

Like Oikawa, he liked teasing his boyfriend (sometimes) more than you because you weren't that hard on him, and you usually went along with his jokes (because you also liked to mess with Oikawa a bit), even though Hajime later told you that you shouldn't.

“I-I... I will rescue you ladies!"

The captain held back his laughter but you clapped enthusiastically.

"You are a great gentleman!"

You jumped off the bed throwing yourself into his arms, he quickly grabbing you fearing you would fall.

"Be more careful, I might not have caught you."

You stuck out your tongue childishly, hugging his torso, making him feel an electric current go through his entire body.

"Oh, how dare you hug each other without me!"

He pouted, crossing his arms, Iwa raised an eyebrow sighing and motioning for him to come closer. With a smile, he surrounded the body of both of you, inhaling loudly as if he were in a fairy tale.

When you broke the hug, you left the games to lie down to do whatever, Oikawa looked at his phone while Iwaizumi comb your hair, strangely he was an excellent hairdresser.

A gasp of surprise left the setter's lips, he frowned at you two drawing your attention with a small tantrum.

"What the hell is wrong with you now trashykawa?"

"Did something bad happen, Tooru?"

He nodded furiously, showing his cell phone where a photo that had recently posted by Makki appeared.

"We are better than them!"

He raised his fist in the air with a smile, Iwaizumi frowned, holding back to punch him, but he didn't want to make him stupider.

"Aw, how cute, can we take a picture too?"

The boys looked at how you had sparkles in your eyes, they couldn't refuse.

"Of course!"

Oikawa grabbed the phone to take a selfie, he did the peace sign, you stuck out your tongue and Iwa just stood in the middle doing nothing special.

He laughed wickedly posting the photo, captioning it 'the true best relationship ever'. A minute after putting the photo in public he received a notification, Makki had written to him, 'girl, you can't beat us'.

I'm trying to find a fanart

I got a new computer and I'm trying to find a certain piece of Haikyu fanart for the wallpaper, but I've lost it. It was fanart of the monster generation in their high school uniforms in the light and then Oikawa is halfway in the shadows being pushed forward by Iwaizumi.

hajime’s still in the same house, isn’t he? yes, the wallpapers may be of a different hue now, the carpet switched out for a less staticky texture, the knick-knacks rearranged, the sofa set refurbished…but he’s never truly left at all.

later, when the rain has subsided and they’re side-by-side on the trek back to komorebi street, tooru would confess the answer to an antecedent question. “there’s nothing left for me there.” several minutes of muted understanding would fall over them. “and there is here?” there would be an imploring quality to hajime’s tone, whether it is for unadulterated honesty or something else (perhaps something crazy like the word ‘stay’), tooru would reply hell for leather. “yes.”

for the time being, the rain continues to rage outside and hajime meets tooru for the second first time.
