Last night's show on @kcsbfm was all about the artists of West Africa! The full playlist is below! One artist we heard was Rose Bâ, a beloved singer from Côte d'Ivoire. In 1978, after a show singing with the Orchestre National d'Abidjan, an audience member encouraged her to record an album of her own; he put up enough money for her to record a demo. With the demo in her bag, she flew to Paris in 1979 to record the album. But once she arrived, the producer she had been in touch with was nowhere to be found!
