The more I need to read up on Japan's holidays the more I'm surprised because I knew they celebrate most if not all differently but I did not know that it was considered ' impolite ' to knock on people's doors which is why trick or treating isn't a thing and instead they have streetwide festival style parties.

It makes sense though considering being disrespectful isn't really tolerated in Japan last I heard and if you ' act out ' like say how Americans would talk back to someone giving them a hard time, it's considered disrespectful there.
