i know a million people have talked about this already, but that info we got about one of stan’s lowest moments being the twins wanting to run away during their first night at the mystery shack… so devastating. i don’t think i’ll ever get over it. knowing what we find out about stan, (that he was trying to get his brother back, that all he wanted was a family again, that he quit all his bad habits like smoking and drinking to be a good influence to the kids) its just.. god i can’t imagine how that must have felt to overhear. he’s not the most responsible or emotionally intelligent grunkle but he tries. and he cares. he shows it in the only ways he knows how. i can’t imagine what would have happened if after a lifetime of being abandoned, stan found out the kids had run away. and that he’d failed them before he ever had the chance to connect with them.
