Cutie on the field after our Utility foundations class last night.

She did a great job. We don't have our scent articles yet and that will likely be the hardest part for us lol...but she did great on the beginnings of send out practice.

The instructor is a really nice border collie/golden lady (very high level competitor) who keeps accidentally microaggressing me for having a hound and it's really funny. She totally means well but she definitely talks to me differently from the shepherds/working breeds in class...even when Pip is doing better than them? Like a little sweet condescension LOL. But whatever 😅

Which in many ways actually makes me MORE disappointed and depressed, about the fact that 40-odd years ago the OT (which I also like, but lbr the political commentary is not much deeper than a puddle) gave us Leia lying through her teeth with her planet on the line and Han sweating and stumbling and saying “they didn’t even ask me any questions,” and yet today - on a show that is unapologetically on the side of a kid throwing a pipe bomb at the colonial cops - it’s too radical apparently to suggest that torture is really incredibly shit at eliciting useful intelligence, and people on the internet will give you a gold star for doing the bare fucking minimum because sadly it’s still better than what 99% of other narratives manage
