Also very true,, Phoenix having nonexistent parents and Maya having complicated family issues make it that they are just there for each other's company, paving their way to life and facing whatever obstacles they have on the way.

The only thing I'm asking for in AA7 is the most background missable detail of having a katana with a red ribbon wrapped around its sheath in Phoenix's space, like his office or his bedroom or something and it's just not explained at all but we know.

miles edgeworth should not have top framed glasses. thats like the main thing that bugs me about his dd and soj designs. liiiike 1. they rly just dont fit his face, they block his eyebrows, which are already small, and i like seeing them. they make the design too top heavy imo, too much is going on up there. bottom frames would bring more oompf to the middle of his face, since his head is so long i feel.

2. while i see the point of 'he reads documents all day, the frame would get in the way', i am a glasses wearer and personally, they really dont. my brain blocks them out of out vision 90% of the time. they would have to be a little thinner if they were to be flipped so they would match the size of the lense, and also to differentiate from gregory a little. so the glasses would be more of a rim than a frame. also since i assume that his prescription isnt that strong (? he may have been hiding them by wearing contacts or just lying about seeing correctly, would would be hilarious) the lenses wouldnt be too thick for thin frames.

idk if this goes without saying or not but i just cannot get excited over the prospect of an aa7 because i don’t WANT another sequel to the series: i want a proper sequel to aa4. i think aa4 is absolutely fucking incredible and it’s just such a disservice to take its narrative follow it up with fucking dual destinies. aa4’s ending is ambiguous yet hopeful in a really perfect way, and i had a LOT of questions after playing besides the main takeaway of “will the jurist system help fix the corrupted state of the law in this universe?”: how does klavier handle losing kristoph? will the sequels expand on trucy’s feelings, especially after her parallel to edgeworth after phoenix states that he’s “the only one who truly knows how [they] feel on the inside”? how do apollo and trucy react to finding out about each other? when will lamiroir reunite with her children? what do kristoph’s black psyche-locks mean? how does valant and trucy’s relationship change after the events of turnabout succession? aa4 is so good BECAUSE it leaves you wanting so much more with its cast, because its story isn’t done being TOLD yet. and then along came dual destinies and quite literally ruined everything

I had thoughts tm about a final case for aa7.

So you know how the cases keep getting bigger and bigger in implications as it goes on (look at investigations and the second trilogy vs the first - police corruption vs while nations etc)

I think it should go back a step, the final case isn't some big system changing result, its smaller but it's so personal and so connected.

Maybe it's some sort of copycat killer, that is assumed to be Pheonix or Edgeworth or Ema or Gumshoe - who else would have that much detail on each case?

Maybe it's another threatening/kidnap situation, maybe it's a drop the defense get them a guilty verdict and you have to figure out why and how to keep the case going without looking like you are.

I don't want the whole world to end cause of the case, but the characters world would shatter you know?
