I'm eating tofu again tonight as I have like twice a week (bc one block makes two meals) for a couple months so I just wanted to pop into your inbox and say thank you again I owe you my life, I bought a tofu press & potato starch and now I have a go-to easy meal any night :)
Haha im so glad to hear, ‘cause honestly the difference between pressed and non-pressed tofu is life changing! i always feel like im proselytizing when i hear someone say they don’t like tofu and then find out they just slapped a wet white block onto a low-heat pan. Tofu is like. She’s my everything. She’s a protein that doesn’t go bad super fast. Relatively quick to prepare, especially compared to defrosting meat, and a thirty minute marinate time vs hours for meat. I think i make a stir fry/ lo mein at least once a week just because rice/noodle + tofu + frozen veggies / whatever veggies are still holding up in the crisper drawer is so easy and affordable.
