#watching some comedians post-nanette is just impossible#like i get that you hate yourself and have internalized harmful ideas#but don't use your comedy as self-harm?#it's ofc a fine line between acknowledging insecurity and validating the logic behind it#but like. you just can't do the latter#“i'm unlovable bc i'm fat and ugly” is not a punchline#not that comedy has to always be in the service of social justice#but like. comedy is always asking a room full of people to go with you on a premise#and i can't agree with that premise anymore#body image#lmk if i should tag more
