i love the idea that over the years, alaya is still widely referred to as the inquisitor and continues to builds up a reputation despite disbanding the inquisition (or maybe because of it, since they're no longer as visible to the public)

stories about her riding a dragon into battle, taking out venatori operations or defeating hordes of qunari. some true, some false, some greatly exaggerated

rook expects her to be intimidating and severe, much like how it felt first meeting solas. but upon actually meeting her they're surprised at how warm she is. a little world-weary with some underlying sadness, but still so warm.

tbh my biggest gripes with totk is the fact that they did it beginner friendly new comer friendly... like i know this is gonna sound mean but genuinely I wish it didn't try to cater to new fans who want to get into tloz cause totk's story failed cause it needed to cater to new zelda fans

idc abt the lore getting rebooted, sure im going to miss the triforce being an essential piece of the story and lore, only to become the Hylian symbol and game's logo (which tbh is strange its like pokemon using the pokeball as their logo/symbol but pokeballs becoming obsolete in new pkmn games). But because it wanted to be new comer friendly botw's story and lore aspects are long gone and only to be referred to as easter eggs to ppl who played botw know. When characters talk about things that happened in botw as if it was a long time ago like the attack of the Calamity 100 years ago but things that actually happened a very long time ago make it sound like its pretty recent.

I don't like how the new sages just don't remember the champions at all. If you get the divine beast helms through sidequests and read their dialogue they speak in this way as it is their first time seeing it like?? Which is so strange cause totk would gladly reference Sidon and Link's companionship with a statue when trying to access Vah Ruta in BotW, but Mipha gets barely a mention from him? My biggest hopes before we got the title of the game was to let go of the champions, as in we don't need them to be back as they already have done what they need to do. But also I didn't want them to be completely gone from the game and only know them through easter eggs and references.

Like yeah TotK is a sequel to BotW but its more so "ok botw was a rough draft, THIS is the story we wanted to do" and it turns out to have inconsistencies. Zelda mentions the Calamity a few times, there are tombstones to placed around Hyrule commemorating people who lost their lives by the Calamity. But the Sheikah technology is completely gone, the towers that were there for eons are gone. I feel like the towers could've been an easy fix to explain why they are gone like "oh these chasms appeared and collapsed the towers, so now we built these new towers in replacement."

Like with Majora's Mask being separate but also a follow up to Ocarina of Time works because. While yes they are using the same characters and same game mechanics. They are using a whole different world/setting that is different from OoT. Where it excuses using the same characters and same game mechanics, cause it has a complete different story but is consistent on where it left off with Ocarina of Time. I honestly thought TotK was going to take place mostly in the skies than in the surface. Since they kept hyping people up with the teaser trailers and then we had SkSw HD being released. Like yeah it will be like some glorified version of SkSw

When I was reading the interviews Nintendo uploaded a few days before TotK's release and saw Fujibayashi say ,"We put in some effort to make sure that it feels comfortable for both first-time players and those with experience of the previous game." In the back of my mind I questioned a bit this cause I mostly asked myself "isn't this a sequel?" but then I reassured myself that they'll probably would reexplain certain things about the previous game and what happened in the story for new comers. Ok so here's the picture. When Bang first came into town, the first face he meets is Beep. Of course, being dehydrated, hungry, and in a giant mental fog, he thinks he's dead and assumes that Beep is some beautiful angel from Hevan. Beep is taken aback at first, but just decides to help him anyway.

Bang ends up staying with Beep and Bing when recovering, becoming insta-besties with Bing while slightly rizzing up Beep (for a lack of a better explanation), to which she reciprocates slightly. After he's well enough, Beep takes him into town to introduce him to her and Bing's other friends. There he meets Bo, Beep's best friend, and Boop, the bartender.

When Bang first meets Boop, he does some slight friendly flirting to him, to which Boop is incredibly flattered by. He won't admit to it tho, very much giving "it's not like I like you" energy. They often spend time together when Bang gets off sheriff duty, sharing drinks and having a gay ol' time.

Despite this, Bang does not neglect time to hang out with Beep either. He often helps out on the ranch when she's working and he's off duty. Beep actually teaches him a ton of things, such as cattle herding and maintaining farmland. Romantically working together if you will.

What Bang doesn't know is that Beep and Boop have been unofficially seeing each other for a while before this. They never really made their relationship status known, but everyone sorta knew they were a couple. However, both of them have been rizzed up by Bang, so when the two of them have an open discussion about it, they just stare at each other in disbelief, then decide to tell him together one night.

That is the night in the picture. After the confessions of course, but still that night. Bang was surprised to hear that Beep and Boop were together, but he was even more surprised that they both liked him too. They end the night admitting their crushes, and stuff and they all form a circle of love yippee the end.

I don't like picking sides for shipping lol. If I see it both ways, I'm making them poly, idc. Making peace with both sides as my sibling would say.

okay so. first off we have the protagonist Corbin Renwick (age 18), the crown prince of this kingdom which i have not yet named. he’s kind of emo and perpetually annoyed but NOT at the prospect of ruling, just at life in general.

then there’s his older brother Callahan, who instead of inheriting the throne is tasked with protecting Corbin (who WILL inherit the throne). i haven’t figured out yet if he’s illegitimate or it’s just a tradition to have the oldest prince/ess to be a bodyguard. (poll for deciding) Callahan is also perpetually annoyed but not emo. he’s Corbin’s best friend/confidant/tutor/trainer etc

their younger sister Morgan is a warlock-in-training who attends a school for magic in a different country. she’s a Void Teller who can predict fate and she’s friendly, but also really alien and off putting. she’s so cool and also gay. but all of them are gay so she’s not special. she is the only one with a partner tho

the fourth and last child is Tatiana, age 14, who caught the white fever when she was young and wasn’t quite the same afterward. i may consider writing her out because she doesn’t really have a purpose in the story and she’s not as fleshed out but i really like her so i will figure something out.

Andrey is a dude from a rival family whose only goal in life is to end Corbin’s, and he works endlessly towards this goal. both of them end up getting kidnapped at the same time and have to learn to work together because they’re each others only chance to survive (not enemies to lovers but it’s like. enemies to grudging allies)

Did y’all miss these? Idc if this seems like a weird direction to go from my past two HC lists, I’ve always loved Helen as a character and I just went and read up on all the compiled lore DeluCat made of him years ago, and I got some HCs fresh in my mind!

I used THIS YouTube video from DeluCat herself as my main source, assume anything I don’t list/discuss here is filled in by anything here. I’m actually really impressed that she did so much research on different serial killers, psych ward operations, and violent crimes to make Helen as realistic as possible.

Expect canon typical horror/mature topics being discussed from this point forward, nothing is censored beyond this point!!!!

Roughly about 25, give or take a few years

STRICTLY he/him, will react violently if anyone calls him different pronouns, especially feminine ones

Him and Ben have a somewhat transactional relationship; Helen films all the depraved torture and crafting he enacts and shares it with Ben, and Ben prints out news articles of Helen’s crimes for Helen to make art with, or just look at to admire his handiwork

ZERO empathy. His morals heavily align with the BEN AI, and even somewhat Slenderman’s

Hates animals. Not cause he’s scared of them or anything, but because he finds their existence useless

Actually he really loves killing people with unconventional murder weapons. Scenes are often found with things like metal straws lodged in a victim’s sternum, or the top of a bowling pin shoved down a victim’s throat so far their jaw broke and the victim subsequently choked on their own blood from their shattered teeth

He’s gotten so good at this that the other pastas will literally make a game out of it and challenge him to use an outlandish item as a weapon the next time he kills

Surprisingly enough he actually gets enough sleep compared to most of the other residents of the manor

He’s also able to get comfortable and sleep practically anywhere, in the weirdest positions too. Is often found passed out in his studio sitting up, or laying on the floor covered in metal torture tools and bones

Despite his lack of empathy, his blood boils and he seethes if anyone dares to mess with Sally

The first day he stumbled across the manor and introduced himself by what the media called him, Sally gave him a drawing of himself, and he vowed on the spot to look out for the little snot

Is already a naturally patient person, and is incredibly patient and gentle when explaining how to do specific art things to Sally

Jokingly “agrees” with Sally about not liking doctors whenever she’s around eyeless Jack (though in his case he hates psych doctors vastly more than physical ailment doctors)

Back to the patience thing: will stalk a victim for months to toy with them. He has an eternity to do this to people with his newfound abilities granted to him by slenderman, why rush?

Leon is not going to outright confess his feelings about it; he's going to act like the teenager he is deep down. Everything is there through the subtle tension between them. Notice how friendly his tone becomes when he meets Jill in DI versus his RE4 encounters with Ada.

Last but not least, these kinds of charged, semi-antagonistic relationships are very common in stuff like comics, so her story doesn't need to go somewhere. She's a typical antihero secondary character that adds some variety into the mix.

Besides, wouldn't you agree that she's the perfect foil to him going from RE2-RE4?

i actually wouldn't disagree with that on a fundamental level. it's just that i, personally, want more from her because i feel like the lack of details surrounding her mission objective, so to speak, creates holes in the overall worldbuilding/lore of RE -- and while holes are always inevitable in storytelling, in this particular case, i see them as missed opportunities. RE is a huge, sprawling franchise that sometimes gets repetitive, but there's no reason for it to be repetitive when there's a whole swath of unexplored territory through ada. i don't understand why they're ignoring it.

Besides, wouldn't you agree that she's the perfect foil to him going from RE2-RE4?

not really. i thought remake krauser was a much better foil for leon.

Did she spawn as she is, or… Did she just appear? Like, “Hello, I too am a Natlanian, fellow contemporaries”? 

-The other two heroes should be Chasca and Citlali?

-This… feels big. The Archon and the heroes vs the Abyss. Even though we always save a nation, this feels heavier somehow.

-Also, lol, in hindsight I see the Simulanka hints.

-“Accessible.” That’s what sets Mavuika apart. I was thinking of “approachable” at first, but no, most Archons are approachable. She’s accessible- no whimsical answers, no secrecy and evasion, just honesty and openness.

-Oof, I really like Mavuika as a person.
