Her own baby is getting so big--and Helenet is good and ready for Angus to begin growing a little more independent. She doesn't think she would choose to do this by herself a second time.

I was super impressed that Helenet managed to teach Angus how to walk, talk, and use the potty without neglecting the garden entirely or having a mental breakdown. Good job, guys!

(The most impressive thing about Helenet is actually that she apparently redoes those two fishtail braids perfectly every single morning.)

Another one of Helenet's new friends in Veridia is Wulfric, who lives out on the coast away from the rest of the village. They run into each other often enough when he brings his catch to market (and the kids to socialize). She can't help but be moved by his story, the loss of his wife and his efforts to raise their children without her. Helenet absolutely can't imagine having two Anguses to take care at once.

Helenet: Bring Gytha and Glamaer with you next time--I can give them a look over and make sure they're growing nice and healthy.

Wulfric: Well, that would be mighty kind of you. And take a load off my mind too.

Wulfric: To tell the truth, they've both been kind of a handful lately.

Helenet: You're doing your best, I'm sure. Have you ever thought of hiring a nanny for them?

Wulfric: They had one when they were wee, but it's hard to find someone who wants to come stay so far away from everyone else. Maybe I'll ask around the next time I go to the big market in Evervale.

The next morning, it's technically summer, but I stuck around a few extra hours to see Angus's birthday.

Mary Earps x Child!Reader

Summary: There's a reason you don't have sugar

You hold reading lessons every day at camp because you want the rest of the England team to not be knuckleheads anymore and to prove Mikey from school wrong.

It's not easy to learn how to read so you know you need to come back to make sure everyone has been keeping up with their learning because that's what Mummy and Daddy do to you.

They started teaching you how to read very early so you were fairly advanced when you went to school.

You think Mikey's just jealous because you're a good reader and he's a bad one but, still, you want to make sure to prove him wrong.

Mary always says the best revenge is proving haters wrong. You don't know if Mikey's a hater but you'll assume he is because better safe than sorry.

You've done a good job at teaching everyone though because Maya, Millie T and Tooney all give you some sherbet sweets. They make your mouth go a little tingly when you try them but you like that feeling so the three of them keep feeding you more.

They're responsible for you while Mary's getting the last bit of treatment before you all get on the coach to go to the stadium. Usually, someone else is responsible for you but you did a quick reading lesson for Maya and Millie with Tooney as your assistant so they're supervising you before the journey.

You decide that you really like the sherbet straws they give you and Maya dares you to see how many you can finish before you have to go.

You don't count but it's definitely a lot.

Enough for you to feel super hyped when you're finally reunited with Mary. She's picked out a set of four seats with a table and she's already got your rucksack full of books open for you to pick from.

You're very advanced in your reading for such a young kid but even you struggle a little bit. Now that you've taught Mary to read, she can read very well from the books that are a bit too complicated for you right now so she's in charge of reading them to you as you drive to the pitch.

"Er..." You say as you look at the selection," That one."

"Alright," Mary says, cracking open the book and clearing her throat. She gets about halfway through before she notices how wiggly you're being. "Hey, rugrat, do you need the toilet?"

You frown. "No. Keep reading, Mary."

"Are you sure? I can take you."

"No, Mary. My book, please."

"Alright." Mary keeps reading but she's acutely aware of the way you keep wiggling in your seat.

You seem to think you're fine though. Or, at least, you don't think you need the toilet which is Mary's main worry.

"Okay," She says finally," Go and find someone to hang out with. I need to talk to Tooney."

You seem all too happy to scamper off, practically throwing yourself at Beth across the aisle.

"Tooney!" Mary snaps, interrupting the conversation she and Alessia are having.

"Jesus, Mary! You scared me there!"

"What did you give my sister?" Mary demands," She's never been like this before."

"Like what?"

"Like that!"

Mary points over to where you've decided it's a funny idea to crowd surf over the girls at the front, who are bouncing you a bit as they pass you off to the girls sitting behind them.

"She doesn't do that! She's also not wiggly on the bus! What did you give her?"

Tooney winces. "I gave her nothing!"

Mary narrows her eyes. "What did you let Millie and Maya give her?"

Tooney's eyes dart to them quickly before she clears her throat. "I've got the right to remain silent! Anything I say or do can be used against me in a court of-"

Mary's already moved off before Tooney can finish and she crosses the coach to confront the other two. "I'm not interested in excuses. Tell me what you've given my sister."

Her gaze is clearly intimidating because Maya and Millie fold instantly and Mary's on her way back to her seat, easily plucking you from someone's arms to set you back down next to her.

It seems most of the sugar rush has disappeared now but then another problem makes itself known.

The bus goes over a series of bumps and you make a little aborted movement forward.

Mary recognises the action and whips out a plastic bag. "Here, rugrat," She says," Let it out. Let it all out."

She rubs your back as you throw up. It takes a lot longer than usual to hurl up your guts and Mary narrows her eyes over the top of her seat to look at Millie and Maya.

This is all their fault, Mary knows it.

It's because of all of the sugar you've consumed that you've thrown up so bad and, as she ties the bag shut, Mary briefly contemplates throwing it at Millie and Maya.

"Juice, please," You say and Mary hands it to you," Sorry, Mary."

"It's okay," She says," It's not your fault. Do you want to continue your book?"

You nod, leaning against your sister, energy drained. "Yes, please."

A/N: Reader goes by the codename Teddy in my writing! Along with she/her pronouns :) I am also extremely biased with Ghost so her main pairing is more towards with him compared to the others <3. I know absolutely nothing about the military so this is not accurate I am so sorry💀.

Chances are, you're the youngest in the entirety of Task Force 141. Just a good couple of years younger than Gaz.

When Laswell brought her in to meet the group, they couldn't help but stare at her in confusion. A tiny girl who couldn't have been older than any of them. Soap couldn't help but chuckle while Ghost nudged him in the side to shut him up.

"This is your new rookie on the team, her callsign is Teddy. Treat her well."

All the men nodded, watching the younger woman shyly smile and wave towards them.

First they realized that her humor was, in Ghost's words, fucked.

Any minor inconvenience had her saying she wanted to be hit by a car or some type of bodily harm, Price quickly whirling around with eyes widened. "Now, I don't think that warranted that kind of response, don't you think?" "Oh it definitely did, Captain." And she'd walk away without another word.

He swears he gets gray hairs from everytime you make casual talk of you dying. He actively tells the others to check on you bc he genuinely don't know if you're serious or not.

Ghost is not up to date with shit, man uses no social medias oncesoever so everything she spouts is wildly out of pocket. References to basic things like tiktok, Twitter, Instagram? He just silently stares at you like you're on drugs. You can't really use your personal phone on base but you try your best to explain memes to him. He sighs and rubs his forehead with a groan of "I'm too old for this shit, teds." "Oh come on! You have to at LEAST know the meme about the marines eating crayons!" "What the fuck are you on about?

The only ones who know vaguely what the fuck you're on about sometimes are Gaz and Soap, despite them still being a few years older.

Granted, they are not caught up with everything but they actively make it a point on leave to try and be up to date bc of you and your mannerisms. Plus it makes you happy when they fire back a quote they learned.

Can yall imagine Soap on tiktok, what random shit he'd have on his fyp bc he doesn't know how the algorithm works 😭.

Teddy has made every single one of them a personal playlist when she does have her phone, Soap once caught her adding songs and hasn't stopped teasing her since. Price and Ghost pretend not to care and barks at Soap to leave her alone but they're equally curious. Ghost contemplates stealing her phone to see it.

Doesn't matter how serious or dark their job may be, you simp for fictional characters, loudly. Price has learned to tune it out, Ghost although slightly jealous, finds it endearing, Gaz and Soap indulge you and will actively ask about why you like the characters you do and how much you love them bc they like to see you excited. It's a nice feeling when they're always in life or death missions.

You're the smallest one in here okay, everyone can easily throw you without batting an eye so they all take turns training you! They all despite knowing you can take care of yourself, would still like to teach you all they know so should you come against a taller/stronger opponent, you'll be okay.

You are the most protected person in the entire squad, esp when going out for drinks, Ghost will put you in the middle between him and Price and basically make a wall of muscle around you. He says he doesn't care and that he just doesn't want to be pestered by creepy people coming up to you but he will literally stare down any man or woman who even tries. He is the creepy one in everyone else's scenario. Soap just laughs and tosses back his drink.

They all notice your ticks and tells, seeing your leg start to shake when you're anxious, when you start cracking your fingers when you're restless, how you will avoid eye contact at any cost. They start to find ways to soothe you in their own ways. Price will give you a pat on your shoulder, sending you a smile.

Gaz nudges you with his body to take your attention off the situation, or he'll simply start asking you random dumbass questions just to see your face change.

Soap will, if he has gotten permission before, just pick you up and throw you over his shoulder, running around with you while you scream for him to let you go. Is also not against tickling you straight up to get you to smile.

Ghost tried to be as subtle as he can be. If yall are sitting close to each other, he'll make sure some part of his body is gently pressed against yours. Whether it be his foot, thigh, hand, some part of him will ground you. You try and reassure him that you know he doesn't care for personal touch but he just says to shut up.

Meeting Graves was a trip, for everyone involved besides you and Grave. Absolutely having no control over calling him a irl Fix it Felix. You were on Graves shitlist and honestly you wouldn't be surprised he betrayed yall for that one comment bc of how angry it made him.

Constantly being told to be quiet, but you cannot help it and will make little quips over comms. Ghost takes after you and starts to say horrible "dad" jokes that make you choke trying to hold back. Soap hates both of you and calls you unfunny.

They realize you're impulsive, especially when you show the amount of tattoos you have.

"I joined the military to fund my tattoo addiction." "You know what? That's not even a surprise."

Going home on leave is always a bitter experience, you never look excited to go home. So one of the guys (usually ghost) will offer you to come with them. It helps 3/4 all live somewhere in England so it's easy to see them/ take trips to their place.

They're all attached despite knowing better. They can't help it and they know they care for you so much more than other force members.

Ghost and Soap bristle when Alejandro makes a mention that he'd offer you a spot in his team, impressed with how you can take opponents twice your size.

"¿Te interesaría quedarte en México?"

"The Hell she will."

Scout, Pyro, Demo, Medic, Sniper, and Spy Relationship Headcanons

Can you tell which ones are my absolute favorite:')

Scout

• Unsurprisingly, it takes him a long time to get over his infatuation of Ms. Pauling (I'm 110% convinced she's a lesbian), so you must be basically a deity to be catching his attention (though he'd the type to flirt with EVERYONE)

• Golden retriever energy, also youngest child energy. Constantly wants to do everything for you but also needs constant attention. He's also used to be getting picked on by the other mercs and his older brothers so he'll be going to you for validation. But he also doesn't want to appear weak so it'll take some time to break through his (fragile) shell.

• Love language: physical touch and acts of services. Will be constantly trying to act like a macho man for you but will also beg to hold your hand. Cuddles are constant. He may not be good at being a handyman, but my gods he's gonna try his darndest. Plz tell him that he did a good job, he's trying his best.

• He's the best person to go to if you wanna go on randon and unexpected adventures. One minute you're both in Teufort, the next your across country at the beach up east coast. Poor thing gets yelled at a lot for just uping and leaving without notice.

• Local snack dealer. Ma is always making sure that he's got sweets on hand. His room has care packages from her with some of the most wholesome letters from her and the box if FILLED to the brim with sweets, treats, and soda

Pyro

• My little baby boo, a wholesome partner who would kill for you. Can get jealous very easily so you might have to hold them back from committing manslaughter.

• Love language: quality time and gift giving. Time with Pyro is time well spent. Constantly just wants to be in the same room with you. They don't do well when you're not around. Also loves to give gifts. Most of their gifts consit of stuffed animals and handmade drawings. Your room will be filled with gifts from this goofball.

• In my opinion, they're a lot more there than people realize. Some days are better than others though. They were literally CEO of an engeneering company! And I believe they made all their weapons to but I could be wrong on that. Homie is definitely reliable when they're having a good day, but on the bad days, just sit and spend time with them. You don't gotta say anything, just knowing your right there beside them is enough conformation to know you'll always be there no matter what.

• You two are little troublemakers. You'll constantly be up to no good with them. It seems like harmless fun, but you've both almost burnt down the base five times just this month!

Demoman

• Probably one of the best lovers you could have out of all the mercs (aside from Engie, they're competing for the number one spot). I'm deducting points cause of the nonstop alcohol consumpution. :(

• But he is a happy goofy dunk so thank gods for that. Always happy to be here. Very attentive, caring, cuddly, overall a good person to date or even just be friends with.

• Cause the constant alcohol ruined a good portion of his memory (and Medic as well), he writes down every little detail of you that he can in a little journal he secretly keeps on his person. Important dates, likes, dislikes, ect. The man has it on file in case of emergencies.

• Love language: gift giving and act of services. He works three jobs and makes over 5 mil a year, he's LOADED. He's gonna buy you the world if you ask. Definitely good at money managing so he never worried at how much gifts cost. He's also gonna try his darndest to help you out with any problems, though it can be a bit hard when you're constantly drunk. Hims trying his best, okay?

• Wants his mom to approve of you but knows how critical she is of him. Poor baby has some self-esteem issuses cause of her so please give him lots of love and support. It's hard when your mom never has anything nice to say about you and compares you to everyone else. It's a neverending struggle. :(

Medic

• You're definitley into weird and questionable people if you like this man, and that means we're best friends now. :D

• He will ask you to help him out with surgeries and organizing his lab. You're hims little nurse. He'd probably (absolutley) be getting you a nurse outfit with his symbol on it.

• He's very much the possessive type. What's his is HIS, no if, ands, buts, or questions about it. Would put a tracker in you so he knows where you are at all times, but someone would have to talk him out of doing it... for now...

• Constantly talks about you to his birds, if any on them ever have babies, he's naming one after you. Would get you a stuffed dove plushie to cuddle with at night when he can't be there with you

• Love language: physical touch and quality time, you're ALWAYS welcomed in his lab, in fact, he expects you to be there with him. Is the type to ask you to grab something and will graze his hands against yours when grabbing it from you. (then give a shit eating smirk afterwards) He'd also be the type to stand VERY close to you, and stand behind you in an intimidating way to keep others from talking to you.

Sniper

• This man is my all time baby boy so I have LOTS to say about him and how much I love him :')

• Is someone who takes a while to get close to, especially in a romantic way. He's just a shy little boy who's used to being alone. But isn't introverted, just has introverted tendencies (you literally see him hanging out with some of the other mercs in Expiration Date)

• Love language: words of affirmations and physical touch, he sucks at verbally saying how he feels about you but will leave cute little love notes around for you to find. He's also VERY touched-starved so he will just flat out lay on top of you if you let him. Loves hearing you say how much you love him, plz just hold his hands and say how much he means to you, he might just cry from it.

• Is also someone who goes on random adventures, but they're usually just out and away from everyone. But I could see him taking you to a zoo or aquarium to look at the animals. But you're not allowed to go to a Humane Society cause you'll be walking out with all the animals they have and raising them like they're your babies,

Spy

• Another gremlin who takes a long time to warm up to you. He's a grumpy old man who's never really been with someone in such a serious light (aside from Scout's Ma)

• Love language: gift giving and words of affirmation, another merc who would buy you the world if you asked. Will only buy you the best of the best and will throw hands with someone if it's not up to his standards. He could go on about his love for you. His words sound like poetry. You'd wake up with a bouquet of roses and one of the most beautiful love letters anyone has ever read.

• Is 50/50 on PDA, he'll wrap an arm around your waist, call you beautiful, and give you a peck on the cheek in front of others but that's about it. Any extreme PDA is to be in private or you're getting a scolding.

• Would definitely help you learn French. He's way more patient with you than anyone else. You've seen him yell and insult every merc a couple times (Scout getting the brunt of it), but he refuses to ever say anything negative about you

• Definitely the bragging type. He'll put you on a pedestal and go on about how gorgeous you are. How you were crafted by gods, and so on. He thinks he's better than everyone else so if you're with him, than you're right up there with him.

OH YES I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!! husband!rafe's top priority is his wife and his wife only!!! he's always paying for her, even though I do believe wife!reader would have her own job too (more on that here) (but that of course depends on the reader, that's just my idea), but still, he is the provider, he's always spoiling his wife in the best way possible, buying her gifts literally all the time, suprising her with jewelry, clothes, shoes; whatever the reader loves and prefers.

Can you fucking believe it?

As most of you know, I'm working for LifeCorp, and you won't believe what they just did to me! I'm pissed!

My job is, apparently, becoming 'obsolete' with the whole AI thing bla bla bla. But! Of course, they don't want to fire me. Instead, they're offering me alternative positions. So far so good, right? But do you know which positions they offered me?

- Security Guard

- Janitor

- Escort

Not that bad, right? I mean I don't have the skillset for any of those, but that is apparently no problem, because these jobs come with a fucking mandatory life change if I take them?

What kind of bullshit is this? Normal companies ask you to move if you want to keep your job, LifeCorp requires you take on a whole new body, just to keep working for them.

You think that's outrageous? It gets better. Apparently, none of those jobs is suitable for a woman. I can be a male security guard, a male janitor or a male escort. And when I complained about it, they just said that for security guard and janitor, a strong body is a requirement, and they have enough female escorts already. What a bunch of assholes! There's absolutely no way I'm gonna take one of those jobs.

Okay, I talked to Stacy and Zara (No, I won't call them "Steel and Zacharias", these are still women!). They were all "Oh, we're so much happier now" and "We're finally being our true selves" and "You should do the same, really."

It's a fucking brainwash. I mean, they haven't been right in their mind to begin with (they had the delusion of being a couple - ha! Couples are one man and one woman, nothing else!), but it's becoming veeery clear to me that they have been forced and brainwashed. And I will find proof for that!

Okay, I'm fuming now. I told my boyfriend about that whole job situation. And you know what he said? You know what he fucking said?

He just said "Ok" and was all cool about it! He even had the audacity to tell me that they didn't force me to do anything and that I could just find a new job if I didn't want any of that bodies.

But the best part is still to come. He said, and I quote, "Just make sure to ask them to make me gay if you take any of those jobs, so we can still be together." I mean... wow. That's a reason for a breakup just there. He's a fricking man, or at least that's what I thought up until now. The thought of becoming gay should have been something that made him sick!

But, oh no. He's fine with it. Disgusting! I need to re-think this relationship.

Holy shit! How do you guys even walk with that thing?

Needless to say, I got my new body. Here's what I look like now:

Apparently, they meant it well with me, cause my new dick is just... enormous. And they gave me some huge balls to match it, too.

The muscles aren't all that bad, either - I just feel big and powerful all around. The hair will take some getting used to, but it's not for long, after all. After I sue them, I'll demand my original body back.

I do have to admit, I'm feeling good, though. So much more powerful, but calm and happy at the same time. I wonder if this is a guy thing or a me thing? Is that how my boyfriend feels all the time?

Oh, gosh. My boyfriend. He's probably gay already, so I should break up with...

But that would be really mean. Also, thinking about him just made my new member react. It's kinda straining my underwear now. These things really do have a mind of their own, right?

What was I writing about? Yes, my boyfriend. Why did I want to break up with him? I mean, he's just cute like a button, right? I just realize what a gigantic asshole I was, planning to break up with him. I'll have to apologize. Or, even better, I'll apologize by showing show him this huge package I got. That's what he wanted, right?

what's always bugged me most abt percy's fight with arthur (especially in the fandom, where everyone's like 'oh, he turned his back on harry and betrayed his family to side w the ministry) is that. that's hardly what the fight is about at all. the fight is about the fact that percy, an 18yo kid who just got promoted to his dream job instead of straight up losing any chance at ever being Minister (because they tried to scapegoat him into taking the blame for the crouch business even though he managed to keep the whole department running while his boss wasn't even there), comes home all excited to tell his parents that "Hey, he's not unemployed and bereft of any and all hope for his biggest dream", but rather that his skills and competence got recognized by The Most Important Man In The Government, and molly and arthur look him straight in the face and go—"no you didn't."

there is no mention whatsoever that they even try to be gentle about it, that they congratulate him first and then bring it up later like "just be careful around Fudge, he's always looking for people to get information from and you are the best of both worlds, close to the action and actually good at the job he hired you for", nothing of the sort. they straight up don't even consider how any of those factors might've weighed in Fudge's decision to hire him.

and, perhaps worst of all, they have no faith in Percy. he tells them "I'm working for the minister", and not only do they not spare a second to be happy for him over this frankly momentous achievement (or at the very least concern for the position it puts him in), they jump straight to conjectures and accusations. "you only got this because of Harry" has got to crush Percy, who was raised to believe that good things come to honest, hard-working people and who has been working for this since he was a small child. and it digs the knife deeper when you realize that most of his siblings have basically replaced him with Harry. Harry, who also plays Quidditch and also keeps throwing himself into death-defying dangers and overalls fits much better into the family dynamic than Percy ever has.

and there's just this. crystal clear implication that they do believe Percy would spy on them. he's so Different and Other and Un-Weasley/Gryffindor-like and they've alienated themselves from him so absolutely that they can't see any reasons he wouldn't willingly and consciously jeopardize his parents' livelihood and Harry & his siblings safety just to stay in the Minister's good graces, when if anyone's actually at risk of losing their job for siding with Dumbledore is his father, who's still working there quite merrily and continues to so for a long time afterwards.

Percy, who runs into a freezing lake mid-February while attending an international event as Crouch's replacement to make sure Ron is alright, who pesters Ginny to eat and have a pepper-up potion most of her first year bc she doesnt look well, who tails Harry and Ron a lot of their second and third years bc there's something petrifying kids and then Dementors on the grounds and a mass murderer on the loose and they all just think he's being willfully bothersome like no you idiots he's worried.

of course he left. of course he left. what did he have to gain by staying at the Burrow, beyond fresh home cooked meals harassment and disagreements? why wouldn't he leave?

I don't even feel like I need to add anything as you summed up the Percy situation perfectly.

But I can't help myself because I love discussing the Weasley family dynamics, so it's a bit more rumbley than my usual...

Percy cares so much for his family. When Voldemort is revealed and the war actually starts, he puts all his disagreements with his parents aside to come and help and make sure they're okay, because he cares. And still, he is being shunned and treated like an outsider.

Arthur and Molly Weasley are just really good at alienating their kids because it isn't just Percy.

Somehow all of them succeded in feeling like outsiders in a family of 9. Bill shows frustration with his parents and only returns to Britain because of the war, Charlie's in Romania for most of the series. Fred and George run away the moment they can and are treated like trouble by their parents most of the time (Molly and Arthur assume they are selling stolen goods from Mundungus when they hear they have money, not that they, idk, somehow earned it), Ron has a whole complex of low self-esteem and a tendency to blame himself for everything. Ginny is isolated from her brothers as the only girl and youngest...

And Percy cares and tries to be the best and most responsible sibling and gets scorned in turn.

Harry and Ron do acknowledge Arthur's and Molly's accusation towards Percy was awful and that he was right to respond negatively in OOTP. Ron is just sensitive about their family's financial state which soured Percy to him after Percy blew up at their dad (rightfully so, honestly, I'd say way worse to Arthur if it was me).

The thing is, Percy also gets scorned by his siblings, not just his parents (like Fred and George do). He gets grief for trying to be responsible and for wanting his siblings to do well in school and not get in trouble, Fred and George lock him in a pyramid...

That being said, do I think Percy is perfect? No, he is pretentious and overbearing at times, but he is a child in a large family who tries to find a place to fit himself in. According to child psychology, usually when it comes to siblings, the eldest would usually (at least in childhood) try to be everything the parents want (Bill), and then each next sibling will carve a different niche for themselves, and we see this with the Weasleys. I think the twins being born right after Percy and demanding a lot of attention from their parents from a young age as they were little troublemakers from the start is a big reason why Percy chose the niche of being bookish, ambitious, and responsible for himself. To contrast himself with them and his older brothers and get some attention from their parents.

I'm not a fan of the epilog (like everyone), but I find it hard to imagine Percy being close to his family post-books. I think he never fully got over the sting of not being seen as skilled and competent and that his parents believed he'd turn on them all without a second thought. Nor do I think he should just get over it.

Like, I'm really salty that Percy was the only one to apologize:

“I was a fool!” Percy roared, so loudly that Lupin nearly dropped his photograph. “I was an idiot, I was a pompous prat, I was a—a—” “Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron.” said Fred. Percy swallowed. “Yes, I was!” “Well, you can’t say fairer that that,” said Fred, holding out his hand to Percy. Mrs. Weasley burst into tears. She ran forward, pushed Fred aside, and pulled Percy into a strangling hug, while he patted her on the back, his eyes on his father. “I’m sorry, Dad.” Percy said.

Like, yes, it's great he was smart enough to realize the ministry is corrupt, but this demand only for him to apologize when Molly and Arthur Weasley were just as much in the wrong. Fred and George weren't beacons of sainthood here either. But none of them have apologies demanded of them. None of them are demanded to confess they are "morons". Just Percy.

Who even after his apology is still an outsider. Probably always will be one.

And that's what we see him do (if temporarily).

"About last night"

It's a 3 minute conversation and there is SO MUCH happening. There are so many details in body language, facial expressions and tone. Amazing amazing job done by Jimmy and Sea omg. I'm singing their highest praises. I wanted to write something about it, and this turned into a written portrayal plus some added thoughts. To relive the scene, but in a slightly different way.

Mhok enters the car and Day's eyes nervously flicker. A parallel to the first scene of this episode. The tension can be cut with a knife, but this time they're going to talk.

In unison they open up the topic and Day takes it away: "I've thought about it." As he's talking we see the tension in Mhok's chest, his eyes wide open, fixated on Day. A second later he releases his breath and shoulders and smiles. All soft he goes: "I've thought about it too."

Day shuts his eyes and squints his face. Knowing what he wants to say but finding it difficult to. Ofcourse, because what are the implications of this?

Mhok is his caregiver and though Day doesn't return Mhok's feelings, he doesn't want to lose him. He likes Mhok, trusts him like he does no other person and all of that is on the line now.

How is Mhok going to react to the rejection, can they move forward and still be the same they always were or does he need to start looking for a new caregiver? That's a lot of insecurities right there.

And he blurts it out: "I'm sorry Phi, but you are not my type." The tension still in his face after he said it. A deep breath out, a swallow, his eyes blinking rapidly. How is Mhok going to react?

And Mhok, Mhok needs a moment to process. This hurts. He bites his lip, his brows furrowed. But his face softens as he nods and accepts the rejection: "I figured."

The tension is still palpable as Mhok looks at Day and says: "I just wanted you to know how I feel about you." Day's eyes go back and forth, processing what Mhok said. And then the question follows. "Did you think we could be the same if I knew it?"

Again, Mhok needs a moment. What is the best thing to say here? This must mean that Day is uncomfortable and doesn't want him around anymore, right? Just like everyone else, right?

And he makes a decision: "Okay, I'll quit."

Not asking Day what he wants, but assuming he's not wanted around anymore. Like so many times before.

"Don't worry about it Day." An attempt to make Day feel comfortable, assuring him it's okay.

But this isn't what Day wanted. And Day is quick to let Mhok now. Firmly he says: "Hey. Though I don't have feelings for you, I still want to have you here..." and his voice trails off "...na." Once again choosing Mhok, keeping him by his side.

Mhok blinks, his face full of confusion as he looks at Day and smiles with disbelief and hope: "What do you mean?"

"I mean as my caretaker", Day stutters, quick to not let Mhok assume anything else. Mhok now turns his body toward Day, listening and watching intently. And Day continues: "If you can just act the same, I won't have a problem with that." His voice trails off again: "I guess."

More processing for Mhok. His eyes move back and forth, a finger pressed against his upper lip. "So... if I can do that, I'll get to continue taking care of you." Now using his finger to accentuate his words. "Right?"

"Right, but...", Day puts down a boundary, "if you cross the line and hit on me, you're fired." Instant smile on Mhok's face. And he laughs, relieved. "I get it now, sir."

"I'm serious." Day says. Needing to make sure Mhork really understands. "Yeah, I know", Mhok replies, still with a smile on his face. The relief visible in his entire body.

After this Mhok buckles Day up and there's some more details to be seen, but the part that really got me was the whole convo previous to it, so I'm going to leave it at this.

Mhok is happy and back to his teasing self. He continues to tease Day and find the exact boundaries throughout the rest of the episode and I love that. There certainly have been signs of Day's attraction to Mhok and I think Mhok realized there still was a chance but was also careful not to push too far.

I love them, I adore them. I adore this show in it's entirety.

ooh this is a good question honestly! i mean, they've said it themselves that they're private, and their actions back that up too. i think a huge part of the way they've navigated the privacy for their relationship while & since coming out has been about setting a clear boundary, considering the past violations of their privacy?

but honestly i think there's another huge piece of why they've been so private over the last five years and why that's changing now! i think the gaming channel hiatus era has been their individualization era, which was important for dan especially. like, phil had some time as an adult to learn who he was before he met dan; all of dan's identity formation as an adult happened in the context of his relationship with phil.

spending your entire adult life in a relationship with someone, AND living with them AND working together AND having shared friends for the vast majority of those years? speaking from experience: you can reach a point where you're less able to identify your own individual wants and needs and strengths and dreams, even if it's a healthy and beautiful relationship.

especially if there was any level of tumultuousness in your home life lol

with the added pressure of being a public figure it makes a lot of sense to me that a hard reset had to happen for dan's exploration of who he is and wants to be and enjoys doing with his career to succeed! dan is not okay being fucked over is such a heartbreaking thing, but the time dan spent almost completely out of the public eye followed by a fully solo tour & span of his career shere he was regularly posting is like—it makes sense!

it makes sense that the last 5 years were focused on everything but their relationship! but it also makes like equal sense to me that they're returning to the gaming channel and joint content and a higher level of being open with us, too.

they tried fully solo careers. and i'm sure they both know now, what they like doing independently of one another. but it's so clear to me that they've returned to the gaming channel because they genuinely love to make videos together, and it's a part of them making a fully informed choice about their future careers.

like. it actually really grinds my gears when people say that dan and phil only came back to the gaming channel for the money, tbh! because yeah, i'm sure it's one of their best options for bringing in money. but like... yall they are rich people. they absolutely have money invested. they absolutely are having their money managed. they almost certainly could pull off never working again if they wanted to.

they wouldn't phone it in just for money, not with the standards they've consistantly shown themselves to have for the work they do. like, yes, they're doing their job and making money for it. but i just don't understand seeing this as anything but a choice they made because they love working together—and because they're sure of that, having spent half a decade on solo projects.

the individuation era ending also makes the higher level of being open about their lives make sense. i've always thought we were due for a being loud about how happy they are in their relationship era post coming out and. well. this is definitely that. i can't say i ever wanted to hear this much about their sex lives but i also can't truly say i'm surprised!

i think this is an era of shifting boundaries to be at least a little more open regarding their relationship and life together and i think that's what they're boiling us about this gamingmas! ultimately they're always going to keep more to themselves than they ever share with us but like. things are changing!

While he was happy that Grayson was getting the man he deserved (@akitasimblr your Clive was a winner from the start!) he felt empty. Leaving Henford on Bagley he had to make his way back home alone. Not even proper home. Phoebus had ordered the coven to shift location again in his absence so while the faces he was heading back to would be familiar the surrounds certainly wouldn't be.

oh, but you know well that this man is not fine at all. you're glad to see that mikoto is doing better after.. well, everything that happened with kotoko and all, but you refuse to leave him alone even for a minute. yes, you're worried about him. why wouldn't you be? voting him guilty was your decision and you're not sure it was the correct one (well, you certainly were shocked after watching his video, haha..) and you're ready to take responsibility for it. you just hope kotoko really won't try to attack him (or anyone, really) again..

♪ you make sure to do everything in your power to help mikoto when he's feeling stressed or anxious and you know that this guy really doesn't like to show how he really feels. but you recognize the signs pretty easily, so no matter how hard he tries, you're already there, asking if he's okay. yes, he's still a prisoner, but that doesn't mean you're just gonna interrogate him until he loses consciousness because of how tired he is. so you try your best to check up on him as often as you possibly can. and no, you have no idea why the other prisoners are saying you have your favorites. 

♪ when you're interrogating him, you tell him that it's okay if he doesn't remember something and he doesn't have to force himself to remember it, especially if it's something that can be traumatic for him. of course, you still try to learn at least some new information, that's your job after all, but you try not to push him too hard. you don't mind if john appears again, but you also want to make sure mikoto himself feels safe. whenever he gets distracted, you gently get him back on track and remind him why he's here and if you notice that he's starting to get visibly anxious, you ask if he needs anything and change the topic and try to go back to the question you had once he calms down.

♪ yes, you feel bad about voting him guilty. maybe it really wasn't the right choice. and when mikoto gives you that lost and confused look, asking why you voted him guilty and feeling like he did something wrong.. yeah, you don't feel so good about it. he looks like a sad puppy when he does it and you refuse to look him in the eyes when it happens. so, uh.. you just try to make it up to him by still letting him do things that make him at least a little bit happy. he can sit in his cell and draw stuff if he wants. you can even take a look if he's okay with that. you can also try to help him start hanging out with the other prisoners again-

"h-hey, y/n.. do you know why everyone's kind of.. i don't wanna sound like i'm blaming them or anything, but is it just me or they're avoiding me for some reason?"

♪ o-okay, now you have to try to get along with this guy. and to your surprise, it wasn't.. that hard? he still doesn't fully trust you, that's for sure. but even though your first meeting didn't go that well (him beating you up and almost killing you in the process, romantic, isn't it?), when you've finally managed to make john trust you and believe that you're not dangerous and you're not planning to hurt mikoto (it took.. a lot of time), he started to act a little bit calmer around you. he's still mad at you, for obvious reasons. he has no idea what you saw in that video, but you still voted mikoto guilty. and he won't forgive you so easily.

♪ whenever you try to learn more about mikoto (or john's?..) crime, john tries really hard to make it seem like he's the one at fault. he's the one to blame, not mikoto. just forgive mikoto already, is that so hard? you really think that guy is capable of murdering someone? and you really don't want to suspect these two, but again, that's your job. and you know well that all prisoners are murderers at least in some way. so when john says that he murdered someone to help mikoto relieve his stress.. it just.. doesn't make any sense. you don't say it out loud though and just say that you're not going to try and figure out which one is innocent and which one is guilty. you're going to judge both of them and you will try your best to be fair, but you're not going to point a finger at one of them and go "you're the bad guy here". not at least before you really do get a confirmation that one of them is the murderer.

♪ john tries to play it cool, doing the whole "tch.. do what you want" thing, but on the inside?? he's LOSING IT. hey. hey. he's the murderer. he's the bad one. he's the evil one. just leave mikoto alone already. however, that's not the only reason why he's kinda going insane. he's just.. not used to being treated like this. what do you mean you see him and mikoto as two different people and treat them as such. why are you so nice to both of them. he's not surprised that mikoto feels safe around you, this guy is way too naive (yes, he means it in an affectionate way), but why does he also feel kind of.. whatever. just remember to forgive mikoto and everything will be fine.

♪ when you hear the infamous "weird noises coming from mikoto's cell", you know well that it's john's doing, so you go pay him a visit. you try to talk to him about whatever that's bothering him, and when he asks just why are you "acting like this" (he's talking about being nice.), you simply say that it's also a part of your job. yes, you're supposed to judge the prisoners, but you don't want anything to happen to them before all three trials are over. he looks at you for a moment, processing your words and says that it sounds like a lie, though you can't hear any anger in his voice, he actually sounds a little confused. you sigh and try to fix his hair that's been messy since the second trial started.

"well, you're not exactly being honest with me either."

Devlog #125

Hi-ho, Wudge here! Gosh! I missed last week's update.

I haven't drawn anything this year-- oh but hmm, I could do a quick edit, here -

Tadah! For anyone who hasn't already seen it, we got those 50 reblogs to make Warden shirtless! A pure version without the christmas lights went up yesterday, just scroll down my blog a bit or check out the #ro: warden hashtag.

I'm pleased with how much mileage I'm already getting from this picture, ha.

Anyway.

Seems like I'm gonna be focused on writing new scenes and drawing expressions for a while. They're some of the more tedious tasks for me, so I'll certainly be looking for every opportunity to do other things on the side - like coding.

Today I've decided that the LI sprites should have their eyebrows on a separate layer from the rest of their face, to offer me the greatest amount of variety in creating new expressions - and I've come up with a naming system for it, too!

I'm looking forward to implementing this. Eyebrow shapes have much, much less variety compared to mouth shapes, so I might even finish drawing every possible eyebrow for every LI sometime soon. I've already gotten a strong start with Warden and Mia's eyebrows.

Speaking of, I did turn in more expressions over on Ko-Fi!

I'm realizing that in the set dedicated to Dia, Warden and Mia have the same mouth shape on the upper right side... A fascinating subconscious decision on my part.

Outside of art, I did write... once. Er, it went pretty okay. I'm usually the biggest hater of my first drafts.

I think my goal is gonna be to show off the abilities of all the characters as equally as I can; Warden and Jade have had their time to shine (during the job fair and flying MC home, respectively), and I think MC, Griffin, and Mia are gonna be queued up next.

I'll put the rest under a cut for potential spoilers and further rambling - as always, if you don't see the cut, make sure to check out my blog directly!

I have a good idea of what I wanna do with Griffin (it may or may not involve obliterating your rent debt, and I may or may not have written about that in the first-draft-I-don't-hate).

I've been thinking that this scene would involve a change of clothes btw, and did some fashion concepts for Griffin that I also don't hate;

I'm not super sure what I'm gonna do for Mia's eventual ~special show-off scene~, but I'm sure it will come to me.

For MC, I want to show off her relationship with the city, and showcase how qualified she is for the job in a low-key way. I recently discussed with a friend how Men in Black is a huge source of inspiration for me... Y'all know the scene where Will Smith has his interview and did things differently from all the other candidates?? I kinda wanna capture that vibe...!

And ah... I think that's about it, Herotome-wise.

Wudge-wise, honesty hour - I've had ssssome mild health concerns this year.

I don't want to go into detail; I want to say it's been like... nothing life threatening, thankfully, but a lot of small physical inconveniences that pile up and make it harder to concentrate.

I did rest a lot last week so no worries. <3 It's just that parts of my body have been weird and annoying, and I think it's helpful to acknowledge that the flesh prison can be a weird and annoying place. But I value it! And I'm doing my best to take care of it. Health comes first, etc, etc.

With this new year, I hope you guys take care of yourselves as best as you can, too. The person who's most qualified to take care of you is you!!!

Summary : Ask above, After the murders at college and Hollywood you and Randy settled down. Randy got a small producing job and you stayed at home writing plays.

(Randy is 25 and Reader is around 24-26)

You gazed out the window as Randy drove down the neighborhood road. You sighed, "We haven't been here for..years..". Randy tapped the steering wheel, "That's what happens when a killer goes after you. Three times.". Randy looked at the houses, "Does Martha know that we're coming? Did you call her before we left?". You duh into your bag looking for your phone.

"Yes, calm down.". You sighed, "Sorry.". You leaned back in the seat. Randy gently put your hand on your thigh.

"It's gonna be okay."

You nodded, you closed your eyes taking a deep breath. Randy turned down the music, the song "Man-eater" faded away. He pulled into the driveway and parked the car.

"What if they don't like me?-" Randy said softly. You look over at him, "Randy.."

"I didn't show up to the baby shower! Or their first birthdays! What kind of uncle is that?" He hit the steering wheel. You nodded, " I understand where you're coming from. But we were busy and you called. Sometimes life happens.".

"I just get paranoid.. coming back. Ever since Roman. I just thought it'd end eight years ago." You softly grabbed his hand, "Me too. But remember when we got married? I told you that I was finally happy to have a family? And you said-"

"My family will always be your family." He mumbled. You smiled, "Exactly, and that's our family and they love you no matter what.". Randy nodded, "Yeah, okay. Did you get the gifts?". You nodded, "In the trunk.". You both got out the car door, Randy opened the trunk grabbing two gift bags. You waited by the car for him observing the house.

"The car's all locked up, ready?" He asked looking at you. You nodded, "Yup.". You both walked to the front door and knocked. You heard talking and someone running up to the door.

"Randy?!" Martha opened the door, he smiled. She gasped and gave him a giant hug. The gift bags made a crinkle noise as she hugged him. She backed away with a wide smile.

"Y/N! You look great!" She gave you a giant hug as well. Randy smiled, "That's why I married her.". You gave him a look, he smiled. Martha backed into the house.

"Come in! Mindy and Chad are in the living room playing.". You and Randy walked in, you both stood in the entrance of the doorway. You watched the one year olds interact. Mindy was facing away from Chad placing with fake kitchen supplies. Chad kept pushing a train over to her making her blow spit bubbles in anger.

"Wow, they're so..tiny" Randy whispered. You nodded, "They sure are.". Martha walked through and sat in-between them.

"Guys someone's here to see you!" She pointed at you and Randy. You squatted down and waved, "Hi!". Randy stood there, "I uh, got presents. I'm sorry we missed the party." He went in and sat on the ground across from the kids. Mindy grabbed the bag knocking it over. You sat by Randy, "This one is for Chad." You scooted it to him. He looked up at you with wide eyes and then back down at the bag. He dug through the bad to pull out a toddler train set. It lit up and sang when you pressed buttons. He smiled, "Chu Chu!" He looked at his mom to show her. She nodded and smiled, "It's a Chu Chu!". Mindy was focused on the gift paper, she held it and ripped it in half. Randy blinked at her, "The best part is inside you know?". You bumped your shoulder into Randy, he smiled. He got the toy out of the bag.

"Listen kid it took me a while to find this damn toy." He said softly. It was a childs director toy. Mindy smacked the box over and over signaling she wanted it. He handed it over. She smiled and pointed at the different toys babbling. Randy nodded as if he understood what she was saying. Randy gently took the box opening it for her.

"It's wooden so don't hurt your brother with it." He handed her the toy. She immediately started chewing on it. Martha sighed, "Here Mindy." She brought over a pacifier. Mindy gave her mom a look and pushed her hand away. Martha sighed, "She did that when Mom visited, she said you did the same thing.".

"Mom visited?" Randy asked looking up at her. She nodded, "She misses ya. I told her you were busy with your film.". You gently touched Randy's arm, he sighed.

"I know. It's a lot.."

"Yeah you just had to be a big shot director, huh?" Martha joked. Randy smiled and shrugged, "It's hard being famous.".

"Famous for almost getting murdered." You corrected. Randy rolled his eyes, "Potato Patato.".

"Well, I need to make dinner. Do you guys mind watching them for me?" Martha asked standing up. You nodded, "Sure thing.". Martha smiled.

"I'll put a movie in." She put on a kids movie. Chad immediately dropped his train and stared. You laughed a bit, Randy leaned back against the bottom of the couch. You scooted over beside him, "Cute kids." He said softly.

"Yeah, too cute.". You said putting your head on his shoulder. Randy looked over at you, "Are you going soft on me?".

"I am not! I'm just saying they're cute!". Randy smiled and went back to looking at the one year olds. Mindy crawled over to Randy, "What's up?" Randy asked. Mindy sat up and put her arms up demandingly. Randy glanced at you and then back at her.

"I think she wants you to hold her." You said softly. Randy picked her up placing her on his lap. She grabbed his nose and laughed at him.

"Yeah your uncle Randy has a giant nose." He said his voice was a bit weird from her holding his nose. You smiled and watched him, Mindy stared at him.

"Rwand?" She said tilting her head. Randy nodded, "Yes, I'm your uncle Rand." He smiled. She grabbed his nose again and laughed.

"We have a jokester here, huh?" He said narrowing his eyes at her. Chad crawled over to investigate the commotion. He sat up by you and patted your thigh aggressively. You looked down at him, "Hey bud.". He stared up at you, he patted your thigh again trying to signal to you. You nodded placing him on your lap. Chad grabbed Mindy's arm, the one holding Randy's nose.

She yanked her arm back giving Chad a dirty look. Chad stared in disbelief, "She definitely acts like you." You said to Randy. Randy looked over, "Good. We need another geek to save the day.". He said smiling at her.

"I won't allow Ghostface to get either of you, okay?". Mindy grabbed a fluff of Randy's hair.

"I won't allow it." He said leaning his forehead on hers. She just smiled in return.

17 years later...

Mindy crossed her arms looking at Sam and Ricky. She huffed and leaned on one hip, "No one is listening to me!".

"We're listening it's just that we need an expert!" Sam said motioning to Dewey. Mindy held up the stab blue-ray, "Uh, the expert is in the movies! Randy!".

"I don't think a movie character is gonna help us..." Amber said. Mindy narrowed her eyes, "Imma make a call.".

"Oh, no." Chad whispered. Mindy stomped out of the living room grabbing her phone off the dining room table. She closed her bedroom door and locked it. She scrolled through her contacts clicking, "Uncle Randy" 's number.

She tapped her foot as it dialed, "Hello?".

"Uncle Randy! Hey! I hope this isn't a bad time...".

"No, it's fine. What's up, kid?"

"Um, Ghostface returned. And he's after my friends."

It went silent, she held the phone close. She heard him take a deep breath, "Uh, Y/N?!" He called out. A soft yeah could be heard from a distance.

"We need to go back to Woodsboro. Mindy and Chad are in trouble... Don't worry Mindy we'll be there soon and remember to-".

"Follow the rules? I know Uncle Randy." Mindy said with a smile.

"Heh, smart kid.".

Yayyyy!!! Thank you for the prompt!!! This mini fic is also sort of based on an actual moment in my life, so it was really fun to write! Also, this isn't the best quality of writing, but it's mainly just for fun, and I didn't really want to spend too much time writing it. @hero-of-the-wolf

Characters: Sky, Warriors, Twilight, and Malon

Summary: While staying at the ranch, Malon asks Twi, Sky, and Wars if they could help her with something in the barn. The boys agree, but get a little distracted from their job when they find an adorable surprise.

Word Count: 519

No warnings, it's really just fluff

The boys had fully been enjoying their stay at the ranch. It was fun, relaxing, and overall, just a wonderful time for all of them. Even with all the hard work they'd been doing. If anything, that was a huge part of the fun.

Which is why as soon as Malon had asked for some help with working in the barn, Wars, Twilight, and Sky immediately agreed to help her. That, and the fact that they all couldn't pass up a moment where they could get more stories of Time. They could never get enough of those.

The three boys and Malon headed into the barn, where Malon gave them all the instructions, along with showing them where all the tools they would need, were. The boys quickly got to work (only after a couple of stories from Malon) on their jobs.

Only a few minutes into their work, they were interrupted by a tiny mew coming from one of the stalls. Wars and Twilight both immediately gasped and ran over to the stall. When they got to it, they found six tiny kittens all huddled together, sleeping on the ground. Without any hesitation from the two, they both carefully went inside the stall, and then made their way over to the kittens.

Once noticing them, the kittens all woke up, and then began meowing and ran up to them. Wars and Twilight each scooped up three kittens and hugged them close.

“Oh my gosh! Why did no one tell us there were kittens in here!” Twilight exclaimed. “I could have been spending time with them this whole week!”

“I know! Just look at them! They are so tiny and cute!” Wars cooed at his new tiny friends.

Twilight looked over at Sky, just to see that the other was hesitantly making his way over.

“You good?” The rancher asked. “There's plenty of kittens if you want to hold some.”

“Yeah, um, I was just wondering how soon it is until dark first, that's all.” Sky answered as he finally made his way into the stall with the others.

“Is there a reason?” Wars asked while handing over one of the now sleeping kittens to his friend.

Sky accepted the kitten, along with another from Twilight before answering, “uh, well, no particular reason. I was just wanting to know.”

“Okay,” Twilight shrugged.

The three then settled down on the ground with their little friends all sleeping on them. Wars sighed contentedly. “I can't describe how happy this makes me feel. Like, just look at them!”

“I know!” Twilight agreed. “They're so precious! I could stay with them all day and night!”

“Oh, I don't know about night, but for sure during the day!” Sky mostly agreed.

The boys happily sat there for hours, and at some point, fell asleep. When Malon came back to see what progress they had made, she couldn't help but quietly laugh at the sight she came across. Not wanting to spoil their moment, she quietly left the barn, and headed inside to tell her husband about the adorable scene she had just come across.
