Orzammar and the Deep Roads quests are some of my favorite bits in DAO... the worldbuilding is spectacular. Even small details like the differences in dialect (several dwarven characters will comment on the Warden's speech saying, "I do not know that word," or "that's a surfacer word..."), the Shaperate, the Provings, and the wholly unique worldview they have re the Stone and Paragons. Love it.

#i do sometimes get a hankering to create a new warden but i'm too fixated on hamal tbh (loml and best boy)#but if i did they might be a dwarf #the legion of the dead alone makes my brain go brrrrrrr #oh and this time i had the dialogue where you can invite the proving warrior seweryn to join you!!#sure it never happens but who's to stop me from nabbing him for my own like i did rinna and jowan and cammen and aneirin #it's interesting that i haven't really written any fic set in orzammar though... i can think of two so far and a little drabble i deleted #it's a lot to wrap my thoughts around... having a good time though
