yesterday i was in a thrift store w my friend whose birthday is today. or i guess it was yesterday and we were in the store two days ago because it’s past midnight. whatever. this place has old niche books out the wazoo, i mean it’s great, i love it. and there was this GIGANTIC set of encyclopedias on philosophy, which she wanted. she’s like passionate about philosophy the way i’m passionate about poetry. it’s not just her major it’s her life she loves it loves it breathes it. but it was $75 for the four books and she wasn’t ready to drop that money, she was like “i might come back and get it later.” but she sent me a message tonight (or last night fuck you midnight fuck you midnight) of the encyclopedia set being like “i told my mom i wanted it so she went out and bought it for me” ;____; her mama did her so good. i love that that’s so sweet.
