if u hated taking french why did you take it for longer then u had to
I was basically bullied out of taking Japanese at first ^^;
To make a long story short, in Canada, you need to take a language [doesn't matter which one] at a grade eleven non-beginner level to be able to apply for a university or college. You won't be accepted if you don't. French courses are kinda the default language to take here since you need it for really good government positions.
I wanted to switch to Japanese in grade nine, but some kids questioned my motivations for it and said I'd be a bad person if I did. Being like, thirteen, I switched back to French and took it until grade ten when after pulling that, I stopped giving a damn and switched to Japanese. The teacher in that class actually said she was impressed with my enthusiasm and was very encouraging, and I really, truly enjoyed it. So I continued and it was my language credit to get into higher education.

Over the last few weeks, I have been spending my time working on my save file because I'm gearing up to start a Let's Play series on Youtube. As I've been building the stories for the characters in my save file, I started thinking about the Sims universe as a whole and how I want my Sims to travel between worlds. It got me thinking that some worlds feel like they're just a short 4-hour car ride away, while others feel like you'd need a plane to get there.
So, I decided to map out my sims universe. I got a lot of inspiration from different Reddit posts as well as the EA descriptions of each world. This has been so helpful for me as I plan out the buildings I want to place in each world. It has been so helpful with finding inspiration for creating builds. I hope you can find this helpful too.
I'm really happy about my Sims universe turned out. I'd love to hear what you think about it! Are there any worlds you disagree with me on? Also, when are we getting an African world, EA?
North America
New Crest reminds me of suburban New York, mostly because you can still the city skyline from there.
Brindleton Bay reminds me so much of New England.
San Myshuno is quite obviously New York.
Willow Creek gives me a New Orleans vibe.
Magnolia Promenade is somewhere in the south because of the name (magnolias grow in the mostly in Southern United States - Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina). I placed it close to Willow Creek for story telling purposes.
Chestnut Ridge gives me a strong Texas vibe.
Del Sol Valley is undoubtedly Los Angeles.
Oasis Springs I think of as Palm Springs with the desert and all, also the Langraabs live there.
San Sequoia I think of as San Francisco mainly because of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay area, I have all my tech gurus living up there.
Strangerville is straight up Area 51 with all the weird stuff going on there.
Granite Falls gives me a National Park vibe, so I chose my favorite, Yellowstone which is mostly in Wyoming.
Copperdale seems to be in the rocky mountains, I placed it in Montana because of the old mining town description. Butte, Montana used to be a huge mining town.
Moonwood Mill reminds so much of the thick woods in the Pacific West somewhere Washington or Oregon.
Glimmerbrook I imagine is close to Moonwood Mill and the witches and the werewolves are always beefing.
Evergreen Harbor gives me a strong Pacific West port city like Vancouver (I know Vancouver is not in the US, but you get the drift).
Sulani reminds me so much of Hawaii, the beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and mountains and the culture portrayed by Sulanians.
Ciduad Enamorada reminds me so much of Mexico City, Mexico.
South America
Selvadorara gives a strong Amazonian vibe so I placed it in Brazil.
Europe
Britchester because of Britchester uinversity reminds me of Universtiy of Oxford, or University of Cambridge so I placed it in the UK.
Henford-on-Bagley gives off a strong English country vibe so I placed it South Central England.
Windenburg gives off a German vibe because of the style of buildings placed in the world.
Forgotten Hollow I think of as somewhere in Transylvania so I placed it in Romania.
Tartosa is undoubtedly mediterranean so I placed it in Italy.
Asia
Tomarang with the tuk tuks and the tiger sanctuary reminds me of Indonesia.
Mt. Komorebi, my absolute favorte world, is Japan. I can't wait to visit someday.
P.S. Batuu is not included in my sims universe because it is in space, I don't anticipate my sims ever traveling there, but if I ever feel otherwise, I will include it in here.

ANOTHER RAPID FIRE QUESTION ROUND!!!!! on the condition that it cannot help you escape the deserted island, what is one thing you would take to a deserted island? what's a book that changed your life in high school? what's your ideal job? what's your favorite ice cream flavor? what's your favorite place you ever visited and where would you like to visit someday? what's your favorite video game? again i can't think of any more questions but if you have something you would like to say. well. you can say it. bye bye 💖💖💖
oouhh my god that's a tough question to start with. like the boring answer would be some sort of multi tool but i suppose anything that helps me survive would eventually also help me leave. it'd have to be like. a ball. or some other sort of small nicknack that i could easily keep on me to play around with, oH or my childhood plushy. or actually like a lil instrument like a harmonica to learn that'd be cool. yeaah so like a rubiks cube or a harmonica or my plushie ^^
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was like the only thing i read during middle/high school that wasn't required reading for a class it's fantastic. ok well it wasn't the only thing i read but it's the only thing i've reread like 5 times by now lmao. it definitely helped stoke my imagination and interest in physics with the dumbass sci-fi fkjdksjs
wuuuh i haven't thought too much about it but i think ideally i end up in some sort of pure mathematics research position; i imagine i'm also gonna end up teaching at a uni somewhere at the same time, which isn't bad honestly even though i'm an awful teacher ^^ i just love talking about and trying to explain that stuff. i don't know exactly where my passion comes from but it's just. sure i've always been good at it but more than that it's exciting! it's so exciting to learn about! maths isn't invented, it's discovered, and we're discovering it! and it's so complex and so stupid. it's embedded in everything and exists wholly outside of it. i also like philosophy lmao
ok ok, so. good. proper. vanilla icecream. like chocolate with fudgy bits and stuff is incredible, fruity/berry flavoured icecream is awesome too. but there's a reason vanilla became synonymous with default and it isn't because it's boring it's because it's the best. but yeah only if it's good, shitty vanilla icecream sucks ass. it's also incredibly close to be entirely honest i DO like a good berry icecream. but the simplicity and delicacy of vanilla just does it for me most of the time
i don't think i have a favourite place- i haven't traveled enough yet😭 the furthest i've been from home was just sydney and the gold coast and it was like. different but the same, all just australia still but somewhere else. but i've always wanted to tour through europe and japan and some bits in south africa and the americas and other places too though. i need to see everything
AHH terraria probably??!!!?! it's so hard to say but really terraria is probably the game i've played the most in my life. otherwise plazma burst is an old flash game that's close to my heart because of nostalgia. and cause it's fucking awesome still tbh. OHH and the henry stickmin games!!!! also nostalgia but they also fucking rock still. and then there's the basic answers like portal and skyrim because of course. i cried when i finally beat portal 2, it was literally one the first games i ever played on the xbox 360 we got when i was like 9-10 years old, and like, i'd get stuck at bits and not play for a while at a time so it ultimately took some two years to get through but when it happened it was just. ough.

12 Questions about F1 through the years
I was tagged by @twinkodium Thank you sm girl! This one's my fave so far <3
I tag whoever wants to do this in F1blr <3
1. Who or what got you into F1?
My dad. He grew up in a racing/car family and automatically transfered that love to me when I was just five days old and he held me up in the hospital to show me the German GP of 1999 on TV. We always joke I've watched F1 since I was born, which is no lie. Since then, we've seen almost every race together. We've also gone to 15 F1 GPs together.
2. Who was the very first F1 driver you supported? Do you support them now? Have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?
Michael Schumacher. My dad is a Jenson Button fan and he's convinced I started supporting Schumi just to annoy him. I don't fully remember why I chose Michael, but my best guess is I fell in love with the red car that kept winning. I love him still and still hope he gets better someday.
3. Who’s your current favourite F1 driver?
After 16 years of supporting Sebastian Vettel, I ended up supporting Max Verstappen in 2023. My dad's been supporting him ever since his debut, and made him his main since Jenson retired. However, I didn't get there that quickly. I adored Max when he began F1. Got annoyed with him a lot in 2018 and 2019 when he kept having run ins with Seb (fave bias I guess), but once 2020 I grew to adore him and in 2021 I fell in love. He'll never reach the same level for me as Seb did in my heart (he's my hero after all, since I was 6), but I love him sm already.
4. Is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? What made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?
I love so many F1 duo's, but my two faves are Sebastidan and Lestappen.
Sebastidan got me out of my high school depression phase in 2017. I remember feeling extra down when Seb lost his chance at the title that year in Japan. I was so frustrated and watched video's of them as teammates the whole day. I've adored them since and while they aren't a fanfavorite, I can't help but enjoy the bits and pieces we still get from them.
Lestappen. I got into them last year during their - sadly short - title fight. The history they have, the connection, is something so unique. They also seem to become better friends with each passing month. I'd love to see them as teammates someday.
5. Do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?
Dad's a Max and RB fan. He hates Mercedes and especially Toto. His past faves are Senna, Hill and Jenson. Mom has watched F1 since she's been with dad (1985), but never got into it. She always liked Nico Rosberg though!
6. Do you have any favourite races? Are there any that stand out to you the most?
Belgium 2014 as it was my first live GP. Belgium 2018 as it was the first time I saw Seb win live. Abu Dhabi 2012, which was epic Abu Dhabi 2021, I'll never forget that day Brazil 2008, it was mind blowing.
And probably many more!
7. Do you have a favourite circuit? Can be from the past or from the current calendar.
Spa. It's my home track which I've been visiting since I was a toddler. And Zolder, for the same reasons.
I also adore the Red Bull Ring, Yas Marina circuit and Monza.
8. Have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? Feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like.
15 in total! 14 times the Belgian GP (would've been 15 if it weren't for 2020) and 1 time the Austrain GP. It's always amazing! The organisation of Spa has changed for the better as well!
9. Have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?
Several times the whole grid before 2020, because it wasn't as difficult to get close to them. In Spa they organized hours long signing sessions at la Source for everyone with a weekend ticket. Since then I've seen them mostly from a distance. The closest I've come to talking a while to someone was Charles in 2018, Seb several times and Daniel also a few times. I still get butterflies thinking about it <3
10. Do you have a favourite F1 car? If so, what is it?
RB19 (2023), it's such a precious car <3 Seb's 2010 RB. The Ferrari from 2004. Brawn GP car from 2009.
11. Do you have a favourite one win wonder?
Not really. Unless, you count Oscar's sprint win from last year.
12. Do you have any favourite quotes from the F1 world? This can either be inspirational or hilarious.
‘If you no longer go for a gap which exists you are no longer a racing driver’ - Aryton Senna -
'Enjoy these moments. We know they won't last forever.' - Sebastian Vettel -
'Enjoy the butterflies' - Daniel Ricciardo -
'If I get a few more, I think I'll headbut someone' - Max Verstappen -
'God might be with him, but he's no God' - Max Verstappen -
Thank you so much for this tag, hun <3

Howdy howdy! First I just wanted to say; Congrats on 10,000 followers! You deserve it!! Your hard work, creativity and dedication are so present in everything you do, and it's so inspiring. I wish you lots of luck in your future projects ☺️☺️
May I please ask for a romantic ship for The Boys?
I'm 22, non-binary (AFAB, if that matters) pansexual/romantic, and polyamorous (no preference for gender)
General personality stuff:
MBTI is INFP
Ennegram types 2, 4 and 8
Zodiac: Taurus sun, pieces moon and rising
Hogwarts house- Hufflepuff
I'm in college- Women and Gender Studies major with a Queer Studies minor
My goal is to go into harm reduction/community + advocacy work : )
Dreams for the future; ideally a semi-active lifestyle where I can pursue my interests- I'd like to have a home gym, a gaming set up and a crafting room one day. The work I'm going into will likely be very emotionally draining so ideally I'd have the free time to relax/recharge by playing games, doing art, and hanging out with my partner. Something I'd really love to do one day is get really high and go into an aquarium or planetarium
Favorite places I've been; Costa Rica, Italy, Santa Cruz/Monterey (specifically the boardwalk and aquarium)- I'd love to visit France and Japan someday
Pet peeves; I strongly dislike when people have an inflated ego and genuinely don't care about/respect others. Hate capitalism/pro-capitalist arguments and People who don't recognize larger underlying issues or who choose to ignore key information when looking at an issue
I hate when people are condescending and cruel. I get super annoyed with people who don't follow road safety or who are just rude drivers
Appearance: I'm 5'3, chubby, and kinda muscular. I have lots of scars on arms, chest, and legs. I have mid-length brown hair that I usually wear in a half-up style. I like dying it but bc I'm working right now, the ends are just bleached. I have dark brown eyes, some freckles/moles/scars littered across my face, and round cheeks. Fashion consists of graphic tees (with puns, memes, and trippy art) and jeans or shorts/cargo pants. I'll wear lots of different kinds of jewelry, including fun earrings, chains, and chokers. My style is casual/comfortable. I put effort in, but prioritize comfort lol
Hobbies/likes- theatre/acting, going to the gym, roller skating, playing video games, listening to music (and singing along.. Badly), smoking weed, watching TV shows and movies, drawing/coloring hanging out with friends, Writing, reading, going to museums/amusement parks, taking care of/watching animals, making bracelets/jewelry, surfing/swimming
intellectual interests; extistentialism, law/politics, current event/media analysis, anything to do with space or the ocean, animals/environmentalism, studying languages
Positive traits: my friends have told me that I'm smart, funny/goofy, sarcastic, polite, thoughtful, strong, patient, trusting/trustworthy, empathetic and compassionate. My friends generally come to me for advice and I've been told I'm a good listener. I also like make myself useful (doing dishes, wiping down counters, laundry, etc) I'm passionate and very excitable and it makes me pretty talkative (when I want to be). Sociability depends on my mood. Sometimes I sit back and enjoy group dynamics, other times I participate more in conversation
Negative traits: I'm pretty self conscious/ insecure, and indecisive because of it. I definitely have a tendency to be envious. Bad habit of taking stuff personally and dwelling on issues that I should let go. can get annoyed/frustrated easily, especially if I'm overstimulated. I'm also jumpy and gullible. Communication is very important to me in all my relationships, but when I get depressed, I tend to isolate.
I show my love through acts of service and prefer words of affirmation. I enjoy doing things for my loved ones and making sure they can relax, feel safe, and be happy. I'm not exactly sure how to describe my type so I'll list a couple characters I simp for lol- Wolfwood (trigun), Aki (chainsaw man), Percy (Vox Machina), Levi (attack on Titan); I guess how I'd describe them is- sarcastic, closed off but vulnerable, funny, brooding, obsessive, sensitive
Misc stuff
- Right now, some of my favorite media includes The Boys, Trigun, The Office, Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Breaking Bad, Hollow Knight and Arcane.
- Games I usually play include Overwatch, League (I'm ashamed), Hollow Knight, Pokemon and Harvest Moon
- Currently Attempting to get through a book called The God Problem. Super interesting but goddamm it's thick
- I collect a lot of stuff. I have a Ton of comfort items- my posters, stuffed animals, collectible figures, etc.
- When I first meet people, I'm overly formal and will crack a few jokes, but once I'm familiar with someone, I cuss a lot and enjoy playful teasing, but I always encourage to set boundaries if they need to.
- I'm a big over thinker. I can be pretty independent and self sufficient (sometimes) but I'm also very very insecure and doubt myself a lot. I've got lots of vocal stims and am pretty fidgety.
- I listen to a lot of different kinds of music but I think the main genres I listen to are indie and alt rock
- some of my favorite artists include khai dreams, Hozier, Mitski, Maneskin, Queen, and The Weekend, and I really enjoy musical/cartoon scores and soundtracks (especially Adventure Time and Steven Universe)
- Fave songs right now are Stress Relief (late night drive home), Good Luck Babe (chappel roan), Don't Look Back (kotomi, Ryan elder), First Time (Hozier), and Die For You (the weekend)
I did my best to flow along with the rules you laid out- hopefully I didn't miss anything- I apologize if I did. I know this is really long, so I apologize if it's overwhelming. Please don't feel pressured to answer. Take care! 💛

Marvin loves your intelligence. Whether you're talking about politics and law or the best way to undermine Vought, he's absolutely blown away by your thought process. He's always bragging about how smart you are to anyone who'd listen
Everyone else you work with (maybe there are one or two exceptions) tends to think about what they want and act on it compulsively. You're level headed, thoughtful, something he wasn't used to at first, but instantly fell for
You and Marvin are constantly doing things to make each others lives easier. You might wash the dishes one night while he folds the laundry. Showing up at the office with coffee and something sweet when he pulls an all-nighter. Small gestures that mean so much and that show your love
Dealing with Butcher means being told hurtful things and being expected to brush it off like it's nothing. Knowing it'll hurt you deeply, Marvin makes it clear to him (in private of course) that you're off limits. He can be an a--hole to him all he wants, but he draws the line when it comes to you, no exceptions
Marvin definitely takes inventory of all the things you collect (posters, trinkets, etc.) and, no matter what, finds something to add to it. He finds tons of small, cute things that remind him of you. They're left on your desk or on the counter in the kitchen where he knows you'll see. Usually there's a little note attached in his pristine handwriting, always with a heart by his name as if you didn't know it was him who'd left it there
I hope you like it my love!!!! :D Xoxoxo💜💜💜💜

hi, i'll be going to japan in a few weeks and was curious on if there are any pripara /pretty rhythm cabs left like the one at tokyo! i'm also curious if you'll make an aipri character creation guide as i'd love to play all the cabinet games
Hello! Unfortunately, PriPara and Pretty Rhythm were both finally (re)discontinued in late March/early April 2024, even at the Tokyo Station Prism Stone, to make room for AiPri.
Both games (especially PriPara) have been discontinued and brought back several times so it wouldn't be impossible to see them again, but I don't see it happening anytime soon unless for an event or something.
(I'm not kidding when I say there is literally no space in the shop to put them anywhere haha...)
I'm hoping to visit Japan again at some point during the AiPri era, but probably not before you do haha, so I won't be making an AiPri guide you can use unfortunately. But maybe someday, we'll see. For example, I didn't make a guide for PriMagi because by the time I finally got to play it, the game was ending in less than a month! Haha...

🌟 A wish you'd wish for?
‼️ Something you'd change?
🏝️ An island you'd visit?
🌟 Starting off with a loaded one - I like it. Honestly, this is one that I think about a lot, and I always come back to this: I wish we weren't born into this world to needlessly suffer. I don't mean never having to experience loss or saddness in a general sense, but I mean I wish the people in power weren't in it for themselves. I wish people weren't pawns in wars. I wish we didn't know the meaning of genocide. I wish no one had to face hate for traits they can't change. I wish there was more love and kindness in the world.
!! Another big picture question (that's how I'm taking this one, so I'm running with it). I want to change the status quo. I want people in power who are more concerned with the well being of the people they claim to represent instead of fucking over everyone if it means they can make a profit.
🏝️ Ōkunoshima - it's an island in the Inland Sea of Japan that's famous for its huge population of wild rabbits. I didn't have a chance to go when I lived there, so I'd love to see it someday because BUNNIES!!!!!!

Weekend treat: take a tour of Kamakura's famous hydrangea temples, visit historic spots which most Japanese people go through in school days, and take the Enoden at last!
12/6/2024
Owing to depression since I got into university, I'd missed an opportunity to go to my long-time ideal destination Kamakura; this short trip today was a kind of dream come true.
Last year, I ran into a TV program featuring Kamakura's famous hydrangea temples and then decided to tour the temples someday in June. Mom and I were off there before 7am in order to avoid the crowds, but there were so many people who must have been thinking of the same thing walking to Meigetsu-in temple(aka: Ajisaidera) in the strong sun.
Tumblr media
As I'd read in some articles beforehand, there were many blue hydrangeas lining paths in the precincts but a crowd of people. I should have come earlier than 9am or around 8am, which might allow me to feel its picturesque scenery, nature and stillness to my heart's content alone/without any distraction. Stillness early in the morning must match this temple the most, I believe. I liked the combination/contrast between green and pale blue in there; plus, I couldn't take my eyes off the location which steep cliffs and cuts(mountains) covered with mosses look over and surround. That was absolutely majestic enough to let me connect with something great.
Tumblr media
After Ajisaidera, we headed to another facility famous for hydrangeas in the area(closed to Kita-Kamakura station). That was a kind of gallery focusing on exhibits regarding hydrangeas, and its building was made of wood, creaking aloud when someone walked through the second floor, which I appreciated.
Tumblr media
On our way to Kamakura station, we swung by Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, where some household was just having a wedding in the Shinto style, strolled Komachi-dori, a long shopping street, popping in boutiques for souvenirs and took a break at a cafe; mom ordered parfait with crème caramel on top.
Tumblr media
Originally, we were due to visit Hase-dera temple for its flowers, as well, but I had to give up on that right before the entrance, because it claimed that there was over 80-minute wait even for entry at the moment. So, I opted for another spot, which was Great Buddha(aka: Kamakura Daibutsu). This historic site is so typical of educational travel destinations for school trips here in Japan that almost all the people who have grown up in Japan, except me, must have experienced the spot. As I wouldn't go to school, this was my first time to visit and see the Daibutsu in person. He looked not that bigger than I expected; therefore, I felt a sense of closeness to him and found him charming indeed. I could gaze at him all day long.
Tumblr media
Before taking the Enoden for the first time, we did hydrate at a cafe closed to the station. It was less crowded with people on the platforms than I thought, and then I noticed that half of the passengers seemed to be students, which means the Enoden was transportation primarily for the locals although it was associated with tourism. Overall, I found Kamakura so attractive in terms of nature, architecture, historic background, a daily shopping situation, and the locals that it's been loved not only by tourists but also by residents for decades.

Japan Diaries: Take Two
Second time arriving at Japan since 2019, made me say the same thing the first time I landed: "I'm home." Because it does feel like home to me for some weird reason. This time we were able to visit Kyoto then Osaka. If given more time and days, I think I may have fallen in love with Kyoto more. With Kyoto, I am more present, observant, and reflective. While I was on the train, I just saw things differently like how I would see a speckle of light and the shadow of leaves that's beautiful on a wooden plank. I had reflective thoughts like: "Each person here has their own dream. I wonder what path they're taking..." But Osaka will have a piece of my heart, since it's the first ever foreign city where I was able to have my alone time to explore the streets despite having the trip with my family. I was surprised I took 27,000+ steps in a day and also visiting a cat café for the first time. The thing is, I've always wanted to do some things by myself such as watching movies alone and taking solo vacations. Little did I know I'd be going to Universal Studios by myself! An amusement park? Who would have known?! Although my visit at USJ was cut short. Some of the rides were out of service or suspended because of the strong winds. I was able to enjoy my time mostly at the Harry Potter attractions that I suddenly found myself rewatching the installments. Lol. One of my favorite things about Japan is the easy accessibility to trains, clean Japanese toilets (they even have a toilet cleaner inside the cubicle!), and endless food choices left and right. You'll never get bored honestly. I know I'll be back someday to visit places that are more underrated because I can't get enough of Japan. 💕
This trip made me realize that I truly need to see the world and get out of my comfort zone more often. It made my decision to live outside the country more stronger.
Imanotokoro kore dake,
J

Kai's Thoughts on Aichi Division
Tumblr media
Shouta Takeda
"I don't visit Aichi as much as I'd like, which is a shame since its close to Nagoya where BAT (Bad Ass Temple) is situated. I've been there once or twice to do a few shows, but those are far and few between. I can't recall if I've met this young man there or not, but I'm glad that he's listening to my radio station. I don't know what the circumstances are that led to him being homeless, but I pray that his situation changes someday."
Issey Nishizawa
"I know this young man because I remember him calling my show once or twice, asking me if I would play an obscure 90's song. I have to admit, I was a bit shocked. I didn't think anyone from this generation would listen to such music. Of course, I'm not complaining. There's a reason those tracks are considered 'oldies, but goodies'. You may not hear them being played much, but they are still good to listen to every time you play them."
"Anyway, he called me a day later on the song thanking me for playing his song and that he was a huge fan of my radio show. I thanked him for being a listener and a member of the 'Wolfpac'. I'm glad to know my radio show is getting such a large fanbase."
Eiji Mizoguchi
"I remember this young man as well, mainly because he's like me, an Afro-Asian, or Blasian, if you prefer. I know some people prefer the term, 'Hāfu', but... I don't know, just something about that word sounds so... irregular to me. Growing up, I didn't have to deal much with people making fun of me because of my skin color. There were some idiots who liked to insult me cause of my heritage or lack of a father-figure, but I didn't pay any of them any attention. You have to learn to let what those type of people say go in one ear and out the other."
"Anyway, I didn't really know much about my father's side of the family. He was Japanese, I knew that much, but any more than that, I didn't know about. And my mother was no help either. She loved my father (or I like to think that she did), but she didn't make any effort to teach me about his side of the family. I may have family here in Japan who I know next to nothing about because I know next to nothing about my father, save that he was an opera singer."
"I may find out more about him someday, but that's for another time. Like I said earlier, I'm glad to see another man like me in this competition. I know there's more of us in this country, but knowing there's one competing in this competition is a good thing. I look forward to meeting and talking with him more."
CLOUD 9
"Like I mentioned earlier, I don't visit Aichi much since it's out of the way and my shows rarely take me that far. Still, knowing that there's a team that situated there will give me an excuse to visit there more often. I don't know the reason they are competing, but I'm looking forward to hearing and listening to them. If we meet in the D.R.B., I hope for a good match."

I love reading slow burn, though I don't personally have the patience required to write it well.
Your favorite random fact?
Bonobos have a matriarchal social structure.
Your favorite game or kind of game?
I've been obsessed with Potion Craft for the past month or so. Animal Crossing is also an old favorite.
A place you'd like to visit? (If carbon emissions, logistics and money weren't in question)
I've always wanted to visit Japan (I had a trip booked for July of 2020, but it ended up not happening because of the pandemic). I'd also love to go back to Florence, Vienna, and Prague someday.
An animal you're irrationally afraid of?
Centipedes, millipedes and basically any other insect with a lot of legs. I know on a rational level that I'm much bigger than them and they can't hurt me, but they still freak me the hell out.
What's your favorite season?
Autumn, I think. The leaves are beautiful, and I like the kinds of clothes I get to wear in that weather. However, I'm starting to appreciate summer a lot more.
A smell that brings you nice memories?
There's this rose perfume I bought in Italy that reminds me of the trip I took in 2019 with my best friend. Whenever I wear it, I think about walking through the ruins of Pompeii, witnessing the beautiful art in Vatican City and the Uffizi Gallery, strolling along the river Arno, and wine tasting in Tuscany. That was probably my favorite vacation so far.
(If you're ok talking about food. If not, delete this part)
What's your favorite food from where you were born? And what's your favorite food from some place else?
I'm from New York, and my favorite food from here is probably a fresh hot bagel with cream cheese.
My favorite food from elsewhere is probably ramen or carbonara.
What's your favorite drink (if you drink alcohol, alcoholic and non-alcoholic)?
My go to is probably a gin and tonic or a glass of red wine. My favorite reds are Cabernet Sauvignon and Chianti.
Do you give your pets random table scraps?
I don't have any pets at the moment, but back when I lived with a roommate, I was known to indulge her dog every now and then.
Tagging anyone who wants to participate.

76, 90, 92, 95
76: In your opinion, what makes a great relationship? Being comfortable doing jack-shit together. like sitting down and not talking while the two of you do your own shit without interacting, yet still feeling good in each others' space. Also good and regular fucking.
90: One night you wake up because you heard a noise. You turn on the light to find that you are surrounded by MUMMIES. The mummies aren’t really doing anything, they’re just standing around your bed. What do you do? Think that it's obviously a dream so I try my regular "Lucid Dreaming" techniques to gain control of the dream and fuck around. If I somehow realize that it's not a dream I'd probably freak out, scream and try to fight my way out of my house.
92: You can re-live any point of time in your life. The time-span can only be a half-hour, though. What half-hour of your past would you like to experience again? Travel back to the first time I bought bitcoins back in 2010. I bought like 1000 sek worth to try and order some weed on the DarkWeb. I'd pour every last krona I had into that shit and put it into a couple of crypto wallets (+ backups) on USBs, to cash out in 2021
95: You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go? I hate traveling, but I wanna visit Japan someday so I guess I'd go there. I know it's some weeabo shit but it's really the only foreign country I feel like I'd wanna visit just for shit and giggles. Also I'd wanna go to Poland to visit a friend that lives there now, and while I'm there I'd visit @straponstrapoff and let her take a bite out of my ass for once.

230226 — Taeyong bbl update (w/ Jaehyun)
Before the
Puma fan sign
There were many people who requested it ㅎㅎ
ㅎㅎㅎ Japan was so nice and fun
It was fun to go on a broadcast for the first time and do a meet-and-greet fan sign with czennies after a long time
It's completely Hong Gil-dong (t/n: TV series/movie franchise character based on novel who goes place to place rapidly) … now I'm in Seoul again I'm moving somewhere, but I like it because it somehow seems like I've become Hong Gil-dong ㅎ
Someday during the cherry blossom festival, I want to visit Japan again
I want to try fireworks at Hanabi again ㅎ
And to the fullest With a dream formed I'm back. It was a short time but
Let's all have a drink of nama biru (t/n: draft beer). Though I'd like half a drink. …
Ah, right …. today during the video calls I realized there were a lot of minors so now alcohol ! I won't talk about it. You can't drink it anyways.
Lets all together drink zero cola !

@celestialcomedy from X
"That'd be cool. I seem to find a new favorite of just about any consumable every week, hehe."
Grilled hotdogs may have been his ultimate favorite, but it otherwise shifted on a regular basis. One day it'd be a moist chocolate cake, the next, an apple pie. The same went for tea. Lavender, chamomile, apple spice. All had been his favorites at one point or another. Fruit teas held a special place in his heart, as well.
Wait. Was that, just a little smile? He wasn't entirely sure, due to the hiding, but it didn't look like that frown he'd seen earlier. He'd heard stories about something you could smoke that eased physical pain. But it was illegal in Japan.
Tumblr media
"You wouldn't be allowed to come to my country at all with a thing like that. But it isn't the greatest country in the world. I can't find clothes the right size because you have to visit the capital to find those kinds of stores. Someday I wanna wear something baggy instead of tight. But I'd never judge you for smoking anything." There's a shrug. "I'd never judge you for anything, really."

What are 5 things/places you'd like to see irl?
Could you give the people 4 show/movie/webcomic/whatever reccomendations they might've not seen yet?
Top 3 fruits?
What 2 colors best describe you. Not necessarily your favs, but ones that kinda capture your vibe
If you could meet 1 person alive right now, who would it be?
Bet you have noo idea who I could be
1: I wanna visit a lot of places if I get the chance. Some of the main ones are Korea, Mexico, Italy, Egypt, and Japan. I love history and good food. For Mexico, Italy, Egypt and Japan I wanna see the temples for their old mythologies, and museums with interesting weapons. Korea is moreso because my dad has been there and I gotta see it someday
2: Kengan Ashura is less popular and I loved it, but I don't think a lot of y'all would like it. Super Crooks is a really fun one and I do actually think y'all would enjoy thay one. No idea how popular Assassination Classroom is but it was one of my first ones and it's pretty damn good. And for the last one I'm gonna cheat because omg I NEED MORE OF MY MOOTS TO WATCH OSHI NO KO EPISODE 1 IS A TAD STRANGE BUT IT'S GENUINLY A 10/10 ANIME OMG
3: Mango, Nectarine and Watermelon in that order
4: A very deep (but not black) navy and storm grey
5: Lot of people I'd want to meet. Maybe some expert so I could ask them 1001 questions, no matter the topic (though astrophysics or philosophy might be the most interesting). At the same time, I'd like to meet some of my online friends irl one day. If I had to choose just one? Hard. But I'd say... a friend over on Discord. Something is gonna happen so I wanna congratulate her for but I wish I could do it irl instead of through a screen
