The characters all have real names now 👍 they might still change but they're at least chosen to be more than just placeholders

does anybody remember that one transgender isekai concept i had a while ago. i decided to work on the idea some more (even wrote a very rough draft for the start of it, though im using placeholder names) and i came to the realization that i want struggling w identity to be a throughline for every major character so now im having so much fun coming up with ways, both fantastical and grounded, to apply it to everyone (it mostly wont be just gender) now im excited to make it more real. maybe even give these characters some names lol

#I'm using real names for this bunch even the fantasy world characters #tho i didn't give them last names like the ones from the real world. still might later though #but bc theyre real names i was using baby name websites and then double checking to make sure the websites weren't just making shit up lol #hopefully i didnt just find more bs but i also looked into real ppl w the names so it's probably fine #see if im basically taking inspo for the premise from japanese animation/lns it makes the most sense to make the protagonist japanese #and i want character names to have meanings so i was looking at different ways to spell the names #but i don't speak japanese and thus cannot read kanji so i wanted to make sure i was checking thoroughly BUT there may still be blind spots #though this may not end up mattering because I'm writing in english anyway but i still think the sentiment matters because #it'll give me a clearer idea of the meaning and that's something to write around too. so it matters #genuinely tho having character names gives me a much clearer image of their personalities and stuff #makes me very excited to do more stuff w them. will have to go back and change those placeholders
