Hottest classpecting take?

i've been mulling on the answer to this for 3 days and i honestly dont know if i make any groundbreaking takes. i think all i do is regurgitate existing classpecting analyses, harass my friends with interpretations of random god tiers, and then call myself dr. classpecting. I think my hottest classpecting take is there should be another group of 4 kids but this time with mind rage blood and doom, and sylph bard mage and thief powers so we can actually see those powers up close. Thank you so much!! I literally never draw Jupiter, on account of my inability to draw 1. adult men and 2. beards, BUT it’s something I need to / want to get better at. The only other time I’ve drawn him was that lineup which I did super quick, so it was fun to try and think of an actual design so I can try to draw him more!

Details on my Jupiter design / headcanons (?) for his life under the cut:

I started with the middle— in my layers, I dubbed him to be “teen” Jupiter, originally intending for him as a senior scholar, but as time went on I figured he was more like, early 20s young adult Jove. The Wunsoc sweater is just still there on the adults because I didn’t want to redraw <3

I feel like Wunsoc, especially with Dearborn and Murgatroyd prowling the halls, holds its student’s appearances to a certain standard. Sure, society members are representatives of the society for the rest of their lives once they graduate, but their time in school is their first introduction to that life. It's their debut as society members. We see this in a lot of stuff with Holliday, in Hollowpox and in the one Silverborn snippet, how she's manufacturing an image for Mog and co. and physical appearance plays a part in it.

Going with this: I feel like Wunsoc would expect their students to keep their appearance clean and approachable somewhat. Jupiter gives me a vibe of the kid who had a crazy growth spurt, and was able to grow a beard before graduating– BUT I don't know if Wunsoc (really just the Scholar Mistresses) would be crazy for that. So I imagine that he's relatively clean-shaven for the most part, nowhere near modern Jove, and then starts to grow out his facial hair a bit more as a senior scholar where I imagine things would lax a bit, and then just commit fully to growing a beard once he properly graduates.

So young adult Jupiter is perhaps in his early 20s, a somewhat recent Wunsoc graduate. I'm a mullet Jupiter truther, where his hair is longer in the back, and had to represent that. Younger Jove's is messier and more fun; he's not too concerned about his image as he hasn't quite reached that laundry list of titles and accolades yet.

Present-day adult Jupiter is still rocking the mullet style, just now it's longer and styled a bit more professionally. But let's be real– it doesn't stay this way. It totally gets easily messed up from his hats, and Jove loves to have fun and entertain people, Plus, he's a busy man, constantly stressed and running around. While the hair here might be great for say, a formal meeting or a magazine cover, the hair most folks end up seeing him with tends to be a bit more wild. He definitely starts to resemble his younger self's hair more after a rowdy night or a stressful endeavor.

Kid Jupiter– not much to say here, tbh. I figured I'd stick with the longer hair he has as an adult, kinda rowdy. Not a mullet yet, though! I was thinking of the part in Nevermoor where he starts talking about the rules he broke and stuff he got up to as a Wunsoc student, and how Hawthorne started taking notes, and made his hair similar to the rowdy hair of our favorite bestie. However, while Hawthorne's hair is curly, I'm of the belief that Jupiter's hair is definitely pretty straight. So no curlicues for him </3

Hopefully now that I've started to nail down a design for Jupiter, I can draw him more!! I always have soooo many Nevermoor ideas circling around in my brain. I love thinking about designs for various characters and the reasonings behind different aspects of their appearance.

I tried looking up t4t's origins, I get plenty of articles, none say anything about t4t's origins, it's all transmascs and TMEs talking about their gay men love, and I find them heartwarming, they are family, and someone finding love is always something I try to celebrate, but I keep looking. one mention of its craigslists origins that speaks of it as a system for any transgender to participate in, several talking of t4t as some revolutionary action against the system, that speaks in "folks" and "people", one article of transfemme love, without any mention of acts of intimacy beyond laying in bed in the morning, photos taken with a camera by the writer herself, many more featuring professional photo shoots, covers of magazines, and more explicit depictions of t4t sex, all of them transmasc or TME.

none mention it was originally a term for love between girls who felt unloved, by everyone, but eachother. i dont know where I'm going with this, but whenever i see t4t, i feel like something is burning in my heart, I should be recognized by this label, but it feels like its not mine anymore, its ours for any transgender to take, a revolutionary movement, not in the face of a transmisogynistic society and even queer culture, but just, in the face of general transphobia. it's not even that im "mad" that transmascs use it, but it feels like its original meaning has been stomped out, instead of being slowly phased out yet still recognized as its origin point, a lot of younger transfemmes and transmascs don't even know its origins.

I have some thoughts about the arcane ending w nowhere to go but uh, if ur not here for some critique keep it pushing loll

Now that I’ve had a day to digest I’m actually v disappointed w the way the story gave up on its revolutionary messaging. The focus of season one is the piltover and zaun plot, the oppression of Zaun and its impacts on the characters, it is how vi and powder are orphaned, it’s why viktor is disabled, it is why the undercity struggles, Zauns independence is what silco was fighting for, vander and silcos ideological disagreements are based on it etc etc. the tensions between the two cities is rising and rising and then it just, fizzles out and pivots and makes viktor the main antagonist without any recognition of how he got here. And don’t get me started on how there’s zero consequences for cait who is?? Still an enforcer??

The plot highlights through Vi that the enforcers are an oppressive arm of a system w how she was treated as a CHILD and even as an adult and she betrays her ideals, to do what she thinks is right bc she thinks she has to take out her sister and bc cait asked her to do so as an enforcer. And then in doing so she betrays her ideals so aggressively that she is now the exact thing that hurt her, an enforcer, traumatizing a child, utilizing the gas on the undercity, excusing the consequences. And when she faces Caitlyn, cait obfuscates and says she wouldn’t have missed even tho that’s not *better*. Bc ok let’s say she didn’t miss, she just kills jinx in front of isha? and she just gassed the city w what we know is toxic gas? And then she discards vi bc vi isn’t going along with what she wants. Cait then is never shown reckoning w the biases and cruel things she’s done and said after that. There is ONE conversation w her and Vi and it’s framed as Ambessa is the issue which, she is partially but like, topside enforcers were all behind her and Cait was quick to lean into all her preconceived notions of zaunites. (Speaking of making what’s her name a mole was stupid and imo done just to make it so Cait doesn’t have to have that convo w her?? Idk)

Also, Vi goes on a drinking spree in which we never actually see her reckon w what she did as an enforcer, (it’s mostly framed around Cait) and then she hurts isha and,,, nothing?? No sorry?? Nothing. Vi has no plot that shows us her thoughts, her reckoning w what she did, or anything. In my opinion it’s bc the writers wanted cait/vi to work and if Vi actually had to think about what happened and what she did then they wouldn’t have worked out. Vi w/ no one to protect who has to rebuild her identity and really decide how she ended up where she did, I would have loved to see it. Her and Jinx’s convo where she says u don’t need me to protect u was actually rlly good, them reconnecting as equals & Vi seeing how jinx became a symbol of the undercity, fighting for it together, finding how she lost her way, like, cmon. Jinx not ending her story w yea actually u should die previously suicidal character, (don’t worry, this is a good way to die) and instead doing the hard work of rebuilding, and seeing a future for herself that isn’t painted in tragedy, surrounding herself w ppl who love her and help her grow (while silco loved her he could not help her grow bc of his own unhealed wounds) using her ingenuity to rebuild w ekko, like, ugh. These are very rough thoughts that got kinda, long, but yea in conclusion, while I loved the characters, the refusal to *commit* to the political message they started hurt the show a lot, and I’m rlly sad for what could have been.

I have a lot more thoughts about sevika and Mel as well but I’m mostly just bummed.

Major spoilers revolutionary girl utena

Episode 39

I'll just describe my feelings about it. Idk. I'm impulsively writing this post.

When utena reaches for anthy but she disappears - its shows so clearly how utena is desperate to help her, save her, do anything just to stop her from the cycle of abuse. Alas, anthy disappears, she's a shell of who she is - it will take a lot more than that to break the cycle.

Anthy takes on the million swords of hate, and utena and can't do anything but watch. Dios appears again, as if to taunt utena, as if to ease her into letting go of anthy and allowing to wallow in despair.

But utena rejects it. She refuses to give up on the one person she cares deeply who's suffering so much. Seeing this now in context, I'm so proud of her. Her sheer compassion for anthy is bigger than herself.

I'm happy she pushed Akio out of her way by swatting him in the face like a fly

Once she reaches the gates, when she says that the only time she was truly happy was with anthy, it made me feel bittersweet.

No matter the taunt Akio or dios make, utena is able to open the gates and with immense effort push the coffin open..

Utenas and anthys reactions to truly seeing each other for the first time makes me sob. Utena reaches out to her and lets anthy decide if she wants to take her hand. Anthy is so overwhelmed with emotions she cant control her tears. She reaches out for utena and their fingers touch, even if a little. That's where I think anthy decided she can and will get out of this cycle of abuse, all because utena reached out to her.

The stadium collapses, and so does anthys coffin. Anthy and utena linger onto each others grasp as long as they can until anthy falls.

Judging by how different the students behave now, and our side characters who were previously duelists, are living much healthier now - It means utena graduated and did achieve revolution. She's remembered in a somewhat good way.

Anthy has made her decision, she tells Akio to his face he can rot in ohtori academy if he wants - she's free to go - and find utena to reunite like they promised. I especially love the line "its just that she disappeared from your world" further cementing he will be stuck in his own ego and cycle of abuse until he's no more. Revolution doesn't affect him because he didn't open himself to it.

And anthy finally leaving ohtori and never looking back..tears in my eyes and a huge smile. She's graduated and let go of her past, cycle of abuse, and false self. She's free. And now she's going to find utena to help her like she did to her. The final shot of them holding hands on that same photograph from episodes earlier is so sweet.

"Someday, together, we'll shine."

I feel like the Dream SMP faction could be portrayed as a dictatorship or a subnational monarchy.

Most of the people who went with the revolution of L'manburg were really young people who already had revolutionary ideas but never had the oportunity to organize.

The whole arrival of Tommy to the server could be portrayed as immigration to the Dream SMP, maybe taking the multiple teleportations away from spawn as persecution.

Church prime could be connected to the Divine right of kings.

Maybe some of the immigrants were "cleansed" but treated as second-class citizens (like with Tubbo in the stream in which they created church prime).

Because of this, most people out of hunger ended up getting into the black market to gather enough money to eat, and also tried to scam out materials, since they were barely allowed houses, adding The Camarvan into the story.

At some point, most of the people who were starving heard the idea of an uprising and that's how the L'manburg revolution came to be.

I'm still missing alot of things, like national dishes, clothes, dances, religions (even if it would be interesting for Tommy's people [that's a provisional name btw] to not be familiar with the concept of God), traditional fighting styles, holidays, costumes, and maybe even analize abit further with flora and fauna.

i will be straight up with you, i do not have any major or real opinions on modern black metal… at least not in the way of holding a major hatred for it or really even a major love for it! because of how easy it is to make music now, there is a lot of… filler music that is definitely not the best and does not sound like black metal at all despite the creator trying to push it as such and i think black metal is quite misunderstood and almost oversaturated as a genre these days, you know?

however that is not me saying that i dislike modern black metal as whole! there has always been very lacklustre black metal bands even in the 90s, it is just that now there is a whole lot more of them because of how easy music creation and publication is… i think in the 90s, there was a pretty huge difference in the way of quality over quantity! but now, it is kind of like quantity over quality when it comes to bands…

but again, i do not dislike all modern black metal at all! i have one real simple rule when it comes to any form of media and that is if you enjoy it, enjoy it in peace and do not let other people try to rip you apart or tear you down for enjoying it! ignore all of that shit, listen to what you like! everyones opinion on what “ true black metal ” is will completely differ, not many people will have the exact same opinion at all and that is completely fine because a music genre can never truly be limited to just one opinion…

i listen to what i like, i do not even consider what “ true black metal ” is when listening to a song for the first time! if i like it, i like it! simple as that, maybe i do not agree that some bands sound like black metal at all even when they are categorised as such but do i give all that much of an actual shit? no! do i have more classic black metal in my playlist as opposed to modern black metal? yes! does that mean i hate all modern black metal? no! there are so many modern black metal bands out there that i find to be extremely enjoyable

këkht aräkh is just fine! i think he has quite a unique style in terms of lyrics and imagery, he seems to be a decent person with a lot of agreeable opinions of some things… do i think there is anything really unique or revolutionary about his actual sound? not really but that is because of just how many black metal bands i really listen to, it is real hard to find an insanely unique and different sounding black metal musician when you listen to hundreds upon hundreds of band, you know? it is not an insult to him, his music is fine and i think it would especially work well for people who are new to black metal! his music is very listenable and really enjoyable but not particularly mind blowing is what i am trying to say lolol…

and he is incredibly handsome! though in black metal, there is not exactly a shortage of beautiful people hehe! i only wish that classic black metal band members had the camera quality that he has

thinking about how in the phantom of the opera (the musical, not the book; it’s been… 10+? maybe even 15+? years since I’ve read it so I don’t still remember all the finer points of character nuances in the book lol) during the all I ask of you reprise, the phantom sings

“I gave you my music / made your song take wing / and now, how you’ve repaid me, denied me and betrayed me / he was bound to love you / when he heard you sing”

and specifically those last two parts— “he was bound to love you when he heard you sing” is so interesting to me like. sure he gets incredibly obsessive and weird TM about both of them as a couple / as an entity later on in the show, but during this part, he’s kind of positing Raoul as an afterthought, almost. he was bound to love you; it was inevitable, almost, everyone loves Christine’s singing; it’s the fact that Christine loves (or even just likes, at this point) Raoul back, that she reciprocates that feeling, that enrages the phantom.

I find this so fascinating because the whole plot is such a fantastic gothic story and a cursory glance might make you think Christine is written as the maiden archetype, almost helpless in the love triangle mess aspect of the plot. But I think it’s fascinating that the phantom here acknowledges that not only did Christine choose Raoul, and what’s more, choose him over the phantom, that is the part he finds as a betrayal. It’s not Raoul’s love that’s his issue; it’s that Christine wanted it, and gave it in return.

idk, it just… acknowledges her agency and autonomy in one succinct line really well, and kind of adds so much more depth to the whole second act’s drama than if she was just.. passively along for the ride? She chose Raoul, and she chose not to choose Erik.

obviously I’m not arguing that the phantom is like this great feminist revolutionary narrative or anything lol— that is kind of irrelevant, tbh, looking at the story within the context of it being a gothic novel (and for the show, a gothic novel source turned musical) and doesn’t fit well into the puzzle prices of that genre to utilize our modern ethics as an analytical tool. I’m just thinking of how fascinating it is that the controlling, obsessive, possessive, friendless, and egotistical self-loathing character of the phantom/Erik still acknowledges that it’s Christine’s choices which create the changes upon which the plot hinges. idk it’s just Cool TM :)

i’m so excited to see where you take your reverse strawhat au, especially brooks and jinbei’s counterparts, once you get further along into the series

i just essentially binged your posts and i love how you’re going about it. i love the whole concept with sabo and ace possibly meeting in marineford that would make them reuniting in dressrosa so heart wrenching, same with sabo possibly taking luffy’s fruit

idk if since those posts your thoughts on it have changed but if sabo took the fruit i think it’d be really interesting if he never awoken his fruit, and really interesting to see luffys reaction to sabo having his fruit

it could even go as far as luffy helping sabo awaken it and almost teaching him how to embody joyboy/nika in more than just a revolutionary way

idk i’m just thinking lots of thoughts about it bc your au has fully taken over my mind, i just love it so much and the care you’ve put into it is just so cool like i can’t even describe it

I really love this au. Right now a lot of the ideas are fluid as I get new information about the characters and learn more about the world. Oda is really good at setting something up several arcs before it happens so I’m trying not to get to far ahead of myself, that way I don’t have to scramble to force an idea into place. I want it to feel like its own world while paying homage to the original and the characters.

As far as Sabo and Ace go…… (and this is ALL fluid)

I am still in love with the idea of them meeting at Marineford. It’s so brutal. Sabo being there but not realizing who these people are to him. Him and Ace essentially getting in each others way for all of impel down (they fight in the beginning but figure out how to work together) only to fail so horribly at Marieford.

And you know both of them spent the next two years thinking over that day. Playing impel down and Marineford over in their minds again and again.

‘Maybe if Ace/weird masked dude (Sabo) hadn’t shown up I could have gotten Luffy out of impel down.

Maybe if we had worked together quicker we could have gotten to him before the marines moved him.

Maybe if more revs had shown up to the fight.

Maybe it the crew was there.

Maybe if Sabo had known who they were he would have fought harder.’

They torture themselves over it for two years. It makes their reunion at Dressrosa hard. Because I’m sure Sabo shows up wearing that same dumb mask. (How can he face Ace) and Ace knows this man. And he’s angry (with himself) and this guy got in the way of saving Luffy (for like two fights in Impel down. They both would have died down there without the other and Ace knows this but he’s mad at the world right now) so he starts yelling.

And Sabo just takes it. He deserves this. He failed both of his brothers and even know he’s to cowardly to tell Ace who he is. He can’t imagine how much Ace will hate him if he knows who Sabo is. And this is it for Sabo, he’ll take his only remaining brother’s hate and know that he deserves it for failing him.

But he zoned out for to long thinking about all of this, and Ace is mad mad. “Don’t you have anything to say!” He’s gotten right up into Masked dude’s face. “My baby brother’s dead because of you.” And he punches him. It’s a great left hook. So good that he punches the mask right off.

And now he’s faced with a silently sobbing Sabo. Who’s curly blond hair is so familiar. Who’s still carrying a pipe for a weapon. Who’s still wearing that stupid ruffly neck piece. Who looks at him with such broken eyes as he says “I know I got our baby brother killed.”

Ace doesn’t know what to do because “Sabo?” This can’t be real. Sabo is dead and gone and how is he here in front of Ace?

There’s more screaming (Ace) explanations (Sabo) tears (both) and finally Sabo is standing there after telling Ace what happened to him and how he’s still alive and is all “I know you can never forgive me but…” he doesn’t get to finish because Ace is hugging him so tight and crying about how glad he is that Sabo is alive, and how much he missed him. But also “I’m so sorry I got Luffy killed.” And there it is the root of their problems. The fact they both blame themselves for Luffy’s death. It will take some time but they will get better.

Again this is fluid and might change once I’m in Dressrosa. But I really like it so far.

As far as Sabo and Gomu Gomu no Mi go…..

He still saves the fruit in the coliseum, but I don’t think he eats it right away. Maybe dragon told him the real power of that fruit and Sabo doesn’t think he could handle it. Maybe he thinks no one should have that power but Luffy. Or maybe he doesn’t know anything about the fruit but because of his guilt doesn’t think he’s worthy of wielding Luffy’s fruit.

I think he gives it to Ace and the two have a long talk. (They need it) about what happened. About who they lost, and how much they’re hurting. (A discussion that hard to have with anyone else) and they come to an agreement. Maybe one day they will meet someone who embodies the sun and joy the way Luffy did, but for now Ace is going to keep the fruit safe. (Sabo won it so if anyone finds out the truth about the fruit they would go after him, not Ace. Plus if Sabo knows the truth of the fruit I don’t know if he would trust the revs with it. It is a powerful tool, but it’s also Luffy’s.

And so Ace keeps the fruit save for a while……

But I also LOVE your idea of Luffy helping Sabo learn how to wield the Gomu Gomu no Mi and awaken it.

Since Luffy is crashing into reverse Wano he’s already awakened his fruit. (Imagine your dead little brother rocking up to your fight. Saving your life. But he’s doing so as the awakened sun god. Wild day for Ace.)

It’s also the day the world government collectively shat bricks because HELLO “what’s the sun god doing here!” If I had worked so hard to hide that fruit and make sure it never fell into anyone’s hands that wasn’t under my thumb. Only to have so 19 year old show up out of no where, with that power fully awakened and using it to take out one of the 4 strongest pirates in the world. I’d question everything I’d worked for to.

But Ace and Luffy have their super affectionate reunion. (There is tears with snot, they are hard crying) Ace calls Sabo and is like “you got to get to Wano Luffy’s here”

Sabo is on the other end like “Ace I know you miss him but that’s a hallucination, stop drinking. Put Kuina in charge.”

And Luffy just grabs the transponder from Ace and yells “Sabo!!! You’re here to!”

Sabo doesn’t respond he’s already running to the nearest boat. He’s there as soon as possible.

After more crying, and explanations. The two older brothers tell their youngest about how he’s dead here. And Luffy’s just like “oh it was Ace who died for me. But don’t be sad, I’m sure this world me was happy with his choice. I would have died for my Ace if it meant he would live.” And Ace is Sobbing again and clutching his baby brother close because he hates it, but he gets it. Because he’s sure Luffy’s Ace died happy to. He would have died happy if his Luffy got to live. And he tells Luffy just that. Their both sobbing and Sabo’s sobbing because how did he fail to save one of his brother is two different universes?

They’re a wreck for days. Like the other strawhats are having big emotions but the brother are in their own little world.

Eventually they get to retelling their versions of Dressrosa. And Luffy tells them his Sabo ate Ace’s fruit. And Ace is thrilled with this news, proud that his fruit was still protecting his brothers, and there’s no one he trusts to wield it more than Sabo. But know they have to tell Luffy what they did with his fruit. Which boils down to they hid it in a box underneath one of the floor boards on Ace’s ship. And Luffy slaps them both upside the head. Mainly Sabo who thinks he’s not worthy of having Luffy’s fruit.

“Of course I want you have it! Who else would I chose!”

Sabo eventually eats it and gets to have a fun training montage with Luffy on how to use his new fruit. And it’s great because now he gets to carry Luffy with him every where and he can’t remember why he was afraid of this in the first place.

(Ace is having a great time being their opponent and training with both of his brother, though there is a moment where Sabo is practicing his Gomu Gomu pistol move and punches right through Ace’s stomach. It’s not Haki infused so Ace is fine he just turned to fire and let it pass through and laughed. Luffy is not fine and is running at Ace to hug him and cry as he has a full break down once again.)

Again this is all fluid and could change once I get a better grasp on the story and characters but I really like this idea.

Posted this on a Reddit sub but I really need people to hear this, this comic sucked! It was not what it was marketed as in the slightest if you’re a fan of Jon or Jay especially Jay honestly which I’m not! You should really not pretend this was remotely good imo.

Now for the heavy lifting about why this comic wasn’t good to me for starters I hate the way they tackle Jon’s queeerness, everything with Jon is so political & contrived & corporate written it’s so annoying it’s actually soulless. Now you would think having 2 LGBT writers on this one-shot that wouldn’t be the case but it just feels more the same of the Tom Taylor type writing. This is so stupid Jon stops this villain & talks about how his REVOLUTIONARY BF will teach him to petition & follow the law for LGBT + reform & change. Now I know Jay doesn’t have much of a personality or character but off his general marketing since we’ve met him this is the type of shit he would approve of he wouldn’t be against what this villain did. They play it so safe with Jon when it comes to Queer side & how he expresses it.

Now let’s get into my real beef, Nicole Maines is writing glorified Fanfiction & making it canon. For this story to have any real credibility you have to really believe that Jon & Nia (AKA Dreamer) have this super deep relationship, albeit (friendship or romantic vibes) that goes back years like you have to believe their the best of friends for this story to remotely hit at all! And we all know that is just not the case these 2 have about 7-8 issues worth of panel time together all written by this one writer, & she is HELLBENT on pushing this imaginary connection between the two at whatever cost. It does not work because everyone knows Damien is Jon’s bestfriend it’s not Dreamer him & Dreamer barely know each-other it’s so FORCED! She spends this entire comic suggesting they have these deep feelings for eachother when all actuality they barely know each-other! These 2 have known each-other for a few months at best.

Now let’s talk Jon & Jay which is a couple I really don’t see it for I don’t feel Jay brings anything to the table he can be replaced with almost anyone & nothing changes. However that being said their dynamic has never felt more off & IDK where it’s coming from out the gate Jay is acting really cold to Jon IDK why it’s not like he killed his mom, & this is all before Dreamer is even mentioned, the energy is just really weird. It’s almost like they had a fight off panel but that didn’t translate well if that was the case. And then them arguing over Dreamer again they expect us to believe Jon & Nia are super close enough to the point he would push Jay to forgive her for what she did to his mom & legit argue over that when it shouldn’t be the case cause again they barely knew eachother. It seems to be setting them up to be on a rough patch why IDK again it’s all coming across very forced IMO.

This comic was clearly only made to try & push this love Triangle in the future beyond that it’s a mediocre read, it’s not what Nicole & Sina marketed it as IMO very poorly executed. I was not a fan & genuinely this whole read felt like Fanfiction I cannot express that enough.

baby luffy hcs??? pretty pretty please?

Ouuuugh...... baby Luffy .... I think he's the kind of baby who cries at night mostly bc he's lonely. he just craves contact. dragon is up at night working on revolutionary stuff with Luffy slung to his chest bc he won't sleep otherwise. Luffy was born extremely small but has a huge appetite (for a baby of his size) and the nurses who monitor him after being born are always surprised by him like "holy shit he eats so much but he's like three and a half pounds" and he cries, his cry isnt very loud yet but dragon is always saying someday he'll have a very strong voice.

as a toddler Luffy is just as clingy but he's learning to talk and just always babbling about stuff. the revolutionary army adore him for the few years they have him. it's very indulgent of me to give them years with him lol. but i can't help it honestly. i just love him. iva loves letting Luffy play in their hair. sometimes inazuma will give Luffy fun little hairstyles, put in butterfly clips and little pigtails n shit.

idk if 7+ Luffy counts as "baby" but I think there's at least one occasion where shanks is visiting Makino's bar and telling Luffy stories and it's getting late but Luffy doesn't want to go to bed and keeps loudly waking back up when someone tries to move him, so he ends up falling asleep in the crook of shanks' arm, just feeling safe and warm with shanks' voice rumbling around him, shanks' heartbeat under his ear... im a huge sucker for dadshanks TwT

im also a huge sucker for big sis Makino who makes Luffy's clothes by modifying her own old clothes so Luffy wears a lot of little dresses and pinafores when he goes out to play <3 im hcing it's normal for kids of any gender to wear dresses when they're young, it's just easier to dress them that way lol. so luffy runs around in these cute outfits and makino is very pleased by the way it kind of makes him look more like her.

Ace and Sabo both are of the age to have grown out of wearing dresses (and Sabo being noble-born would have been raised wearing pants and shorts I think). When luffy turns seven is when he starts dressing like in canon (according to my whims lol) maybe his fashion sense is a little influenced by shanks and his crew. time for sandals and jorts, baby!

ASL time!!!!! Ace totally complains all the time about how much Luffy acts like a baby but mysteriously every night ends up with Luffy smushed between him and Sabo, even though he'd never do anything as soft as cuddling someone. Sabo isn't that much more inherently affectionate, he's not used to showing people love in any way aside from through obedience, but he's much quicker to take Luffy's hand so he doesn't fall behind when they're walking, and he's more often the one to carry Luffy if he gets tired or hurt. after Sabo's death and the bear attack, Ace tries a lot harder to be like caring and receptive of Luffy's feelings and needs, so he gives Luffy a lot more affection (and quietly relishes in how much it makes his heart sing to love someone, to be loved) when Luffy wakes up from nightmares Ace will hug him and hum little made up songs for him until Luffy's asleep again. when Ace has nightmares Luffy will hold his hand until he wakes up, bc he's a lighter sleeper than Ace and knows Ace doesn't react well to being woken up during them.

There's prob more I'll think of later lol but this is what I got for now!!!! Hope you enjoy <3
