Oooo what's that book about?

Nona the Ninth? I dunno if I can really explain it without spoiling it or giving details that probably don’t make much sense, but it’s book 3 in a series called The Locked Tomb that is usually described as “lesbian necromancers in space,” even though most of the space stuff is in the second book and the first book is more of a haunted castle vibe. Lots of angst, mental illness, mystery, and neat characters. I dig it.

#I think it’s the only book fandom I actively indulge in #I reblog a lot of fan art on here #I’m bad at making myself read so I haven’t really sat down and read more than a few chapters of this one #it’s good tho! so far #it’s got some really neat concepts and world building #it’s got like classic fantasy swords and magic in a kinda dark creepy far future world #but not in a grimdark way and not future in any cyberpunk way #just space travel and necromancy and a ghost or two #it seeeems a little YA bc a lot of characters are young but I don’t personally feel it is YA #also the 2nd book is told in SECOND PERSON. what?? and has a hugely unreliable narrator. it gets weird.
