Two Stories: European Translating a Fictional Japanese Novel
yoakesan asked:
Hi!
The protagonist of my novel is Sicilian university student who's working on a translation of an imaginary Japanese novel, which I would like to present as a sub-plot (the main plot features the Sicilian guy attending a local festival near his hometown).
The Japanese novel is about a young woman who has strong feelings of nostalgia towards summer, partly because of a short-lived love story she had with another girl. She spends so much time longing for summer that she can't be happy in the present.
Now, in order to underline this concept, I was thinking that the Japanese novel could end with the protagonist dying before the arrival of summer, but I'm afraid that, since the main plot features a happy ending for the Sicilian protagonist, that might be unnecessarily tragic.
Also, do you have any tips on certain aspects of Japanese culture that I should avoid underlining? The Sicilian guy loves Japanese literature, both classic and contemporary, and likes listening to contemporary Japanese electronic music. I was thinking of mentioning some similarities between the two cultures (islands - sea - volcanoes - cherry blossoms/a typical festival that is celebrated in the protagonist's hometown in the occasion of the blossoming of another tree), but the point of the novel is not to draw a consistent parallel.
Finally, said festival features people from many different countries dancing and playing instruments in traditional clothes. How can I be careful about exoticization when describing that part of the story?
More info needed
I like this concept and have read Japanese novels utilizing similar plot devices. An outsider’s perspective would be interesting. This idea also reminds me a little of The Hours (1998) by Michael Cunningham which won the Pulitzer in 1999. However, I wish you had said something more about this festival in this town so we might look into similar parallels in a Japanese context. Similarly crucial would be information about your own familiarity with Japanese literature and which authors/ novels you intended to draw on for your own inspiration for this unnamed novel. After all, the unnamed novel being translated is key. Its themes, time period, place in the Japanese literary canon etc. would all influence your protagonist and his state of mind, wouldn't it? Having done my share of translation, I have more than once grappled with the struggle of not knowing which word to pick because I don't even know what meaning the original author is trying to convey.
I think this is an interesting question, and I like the concept of cultures shaped by similar forces and motifs being exchanged through the act of translating a novel. Speaking as a person who lives in another part of the world with unpredictable weather, earthquakes, the sea, etc., I like rediscovering aspects of my current home that also evoke Japan and vice-versa. so I invite you to re-submit with greater detail via DM so that we may provide you with a more definitive answer.
The other question you sent on whether domestic tourism for hanami in Japan is common and which sites are favored is easy to answer through research using most search engines, so we will not be answering it.
- Marika.

Meeting and Dating (Old) Vito Corleone
Tumblr media
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
(This repeats a few things from the young Vito headcanons but I rewrote them so they’re not completely the same. Hope you enjoy!)
- For the sake of these headcanons, let’s say that him and Carmela split sometime in the 1930′s; amicably, of course.
- You’d heard of and saw Vito far before you met him. Growing up, you were told plenty of stories about his generosity and kindness, as well as his ruthlessness. Every now and again your friends would point him out on the streets, whispering in your ear about who he was and the things they’d heard about him.
- Even as a teenager, you found him handsome in a way no one else in your life was though you kept your attraction to him a secret, not wanting to hear the teasing you’d inevitably get from your friends; who were only interested in the boys your age.
- You finally met Vito for the first time after you began working at a small pet shop. By then you were a young woman, far more mature and with more life and dating experience; though you hadn’t had much luck with boys your age.
- The older man had come into the shop when you were first starting out. His presence completely caught you off guard; never in your life would you have imagined The Godfather as a pet owner, let alone a kitten owner which you could assume from his purchases.
- You really had to work to keep your composure as he made his way over to the front counter. You were working alongside the owner, who greeted the man warmly as he approached.
- The two of them talked for a little while before Vito’s eyes fell on you. The owner introduced you to him, explaining that you were a new hire as the man greeted you with a small, friendly smile. Your boss and The Don exchanged a few more words; some about you, as he paid for his things
- As he was leaving, he gave you a final smile, telling you it was nice to meet you. Your heart skipped a beat and you quickly realized that your childhood crush had not faded nearly as much as you’d hoped it had.
- You’d soon come to realize that The Don’s visits to the pet shop were a weekly thing, he’d always buy a small supply of what he needed instead of buying in bulk like most of your customers. You assumed he liked the atmosphere of the pet shop or that he enjoyed doing something normal in the midst of his crazy routine.
- After your training process ended, the owner of the shop began to leave you in charge every now and again. You mainly just worked the cash register while he did something in the back of the shop but occasionally he’d leave you all alone while he went out to run some errands or when he came down with something. This was when you were able to talk to and get to know Vito.
- It started as small conversations while you rang him up then the two of you began to talk more and more. He’d tell you stories, ask about your life, tell jokes, etc. You began to consider him a friend, someone you always enjoyed seeing whenever he came in.
- Then one week he didnt show up. His absence worried you so when your boss received a call from the man, informing you that he was sick and asking if he could drop off some supplies for him, you were fairly relieved.
- Your boss would have done it himself but he was busy with business matters, he asked if you’d be willing before informing the man that you’d be there in a little while. So after your usual shift, you took the mans usual purchases and written down address in hand, and made your way over to his gorgeous home.
- Once you saw the state he was in, you insisted on providing him with some kind of help. He found your worry and eagerness both amusing and heartwarming.
- He thanked you before welcoming you to sit beside him on one of his many armchairs, telling you that your company and conversation would be enough help.
- You aren’t sure how exactly the subject of relationships had come up but it had. He’d asked you whether you were seeing someone, saying something along the lines of “a beautiful young lady like yourself should be beating men off with sticks” which made you laugh.
- You told him you were single and that you hadn’t had many boyfriends before, pausing before telling him that you were pretty sure you just couldn’t stand men your age.
- He gave you a smile, nodding thoughtfully before asking if you’d ever been with someone older. The question had just a hint of a suggestion to it which was not missed on you though you figured it was just your mind jumping to hopeful conclusions.
- You answered with a teasing “apparently not old enough”, sending him a smile before asking if you could make him something to eat, seeing as it was just around a normal dinner time. He agreed as long as you’d join him.
- So there you were, sitting with the man you’d fawned over for years, eating soup and making pleasant conversation. That was when he finally asked you the question you’d always longed to hear.
“Y/n. I may not be exactly what you’re looking for but I know that I enjoy your company and I think you enjoy mine. I was hoping that you would join me for a proper dinner once I’m well again.”
- The excitement with which you agreed assured him that you were genuinely interested in him. He smiled back at you and the two of you finished dinner before happily saying goodbye.
- He took you out a few days later. The two of you went to a nice family owned Italian restaurant which he may or may not have bought out for the night. Time flew by while you were with him and you felt disappointed when you had to finally call it a night. You obviously agreed when he asked if he’d be seeing you again sometime.
- You had your first kiss a week into your relationship. The two of you had been sat in his backyard when you went in to get the two of you drinks. When you returned and handed him a cup, he gently took your hand and pulled you towards him, pressing his lips to yours. You smiled into the kiss and pecked his lips after you both pulled away from each other.
- You may not have the most conventional relationship but it’s safe to say that you’re truly happy together.
- He tends to save his affection for when your alone, deeming it only proper to refrain from such things in public. He does lighten up over the years as pda grows more and more acceptable.
- Getting to hear the different stories from his youth, the things he liked to do, the music he listened to, etc. You think it’s sweet to watch and listen to him reminisce, not to mention interested.
- Fresh flowers on your bedside every morning.
- This man smells so good all of the time. You don’t know what it is but you love it.
- Hand kisses.
- Getting coffee together.
- He likes to rest his hand on your knee whenever you’re sitting beside him.
- Relaxing in his backyard with him. He’s quite fond of the sun and sitting in it with you is one of his favorite pastimes.
- Wine is practically a staple in your lives. Wine-tasting dates, wine with your meals, wine as decoration; the fermented fruit is relentless.
- You’re constantly plucking cat hair from his clothes.
- Stroking/rubbing each others backs when you’re standing beside one another.
- He’s grown fond of brushing your hair for you; there’s just something so soothing about it. It also allows him to have an extra quiet moment with you which is mainly what he enjoys about it.
- Lots of pecks on the lips.
- Sitting on his lap or on the arm of his chair.
- Gardening together. You have matching sunhats and gloves.
- Making notes for him and helping to arrange his calendar. You’ll occasionally have to remind him that he has to meet with someone or go to some party.
- Even so, he tries to keep you out of as much of the family business as possible, not wanting you to be put in danger or get scared off.
- You’re going to have to keep track of a lot of names and faces. Between his friends, coworkers, and family; there’s enough people to fill an entire town.
- He’s a busy man so there’s going to be days where you hardly see him. He likes hearing that you missed him, it warms his heart even though he doesn’t like the idea of you being less than happy.
- You’re always amazed by how people act with him and just how much he controls the city. For someone who acts so kind and humble, its hard to imagine him doing some of the things you’re told he’s done.
- He tends to just smile and brush off all your compliments. Anytime you mention his appearance, he’ll joke about being “just an old man” and telling you that he should be the one giving compliments.
- Since he’s older than you by quite a few years, he’s more insecure and prone to getting jealous than his younger counterpart or if you were his age. You’re a beautiful young girl with the world at your fingertips, what are you doing with him? You may like older men but wouldn’t you like someone closer to your age?
- Whenever he’s feeling that way, he’ll keep it to himself, not wanting to betray his usual professional demeanor. When you’re finally alone together, you can always tell that something’s wrong and will assure him that you love him very much which always seems to fix things.
- He’s not a huge cuddler but he does enjoy having you close beside him. When you do cuddle you’ll usually just lay your head on his shoulder or chest while he wraps his arms around you.
- Sicilian pet names. He’s also quite fond of “angel” and nicknames that mean something to the both of you.
- Your safety is one of the most important things to him so he wants you to tell him whenever something happens or if you have a sick feeling about something. He has bodyguards for you on call at all times.
- He can’t help but love when you worry for him; it’s just a reminder that you truly love him.
- Catching him watching you a lot. Whenever you ask “what”, he wraps his arms around you and asks how he got so lucky.
- Quiet days spent by each other’s side.
- Have you ever been to Italy? No? Well that just won’t do! He’d insist on bringing you one day and wouldn’t take no for an answer.
- You get spoiled even though you constantly tell him that he really doesn’t have to which only makes him want to spoil you more. It’s not that you don’t appreciate it all, you just don’t want him to think you’re only in it for the money though you assume he’s a good enough people reader to see that for himself.
- He always makes sure that you feel valued and important, not just some woman he keeps around to act as a pretty face.
- Vito cherishes companionship; he doesn’t enjoy being alone. It doesn’t matter what you do so long as you do it together.
- He likes to eat with you as much as he can. Having dinner together is commonplace in your relationship.
- Big family get-together’s.
- It’s going to take a little while for his children to warm up to you for obvious reasons. Just stick it out; once they see how much you genuinely care for him, they’ll welcome you with open arms and give their blessings.
- Comforting hugs during rough times.
- The two of you never fight. Vito; in general, does not lose his temper very often, he prides himself on that. If there’s an issue, you’ll resolve it like adults through an actual conversation or it will stay unresolved. He doesn’t have time for childish behavior so if you want to quarrel, take it somewhere else.
- He tells you he loves you often. It’s important to him that you know he does and that you feel like he does.
- Once again; Vito is a very traditional man so marriage is a must. He’ll most likely propose to you after a year or so of dating.

Want to feel really old? Oh, go on then. Duran Duran turn 40 this year: the band, that is, not the members. For them it’s worse: Simon Le Bon is 61, John and Roger Taylor, each 59, and Nick Rhodes, the baby, 57.
As you would expect of a pop group who always appeared happiest hanging off a yacht in ruffled Antony Price suits, accessorised with a supermodel and a cocktail, they intend to celebrate in style, coronavirus permitting. So the plan, announced this week, is that on July 12, exactly 40 years since their first gig at the Rum Runner in Birmingham, they will perform in Hyde Park, headlining a bill that includes Nile Rodgers & Chic and their pal Gwen Stefani. Four of the original five will be there: the guitarist Andy Taylor, 59, left the band in 1985 and, after rejoining in 2001, walked out again five years later. In the past, the guitarist Warren Cuccurullo has filled in; this time Graham Coxon from Blur will take his place.
Then in autumn Duran Duran are releasing a new album, their 15th, which they are halfway through making.
Growing up in the West Midlands, I was a Duranie; my first gig was theirs at the NEC in Birmingham. To give an idea of the level of devotion, I had house plants named after each of them. John, his initials “JT” written on the pot in nail varnish, was a begonia; Rhodes, a busy lizzie; Le Bon, a rubber plant; Roger and Andy Taylor were cacti. My memory, foggy on so much, still holds the name of Nick Rhodes’s cat at the time (Sebastian). The household appliance “JT” would choose to be? “A refrigerator, so I would stay cool.”
But despite previous opportunities, I’ve avoided them bar an awkward backstage handshake with Le Bon. In the meantime, they have notched up record sales of 100 million, had 21 Top 20 hits in the UK and, unlike many bands who came to fame in the 1980s, they produce different, exciting, if not always lauded albums, working with new producers and musicians. They’ve had top five albums in each of the four decades they’ve worked. Their last album, Paper Gods (2015), produced by Mark Ronson and Rodgers, was their most successful for 25 years.
Now 46 and with no desire to anthropomorphise greenery, I meet Rhodes, the keyboardist, and John Taylor, the bass player, once described as having the squarest jaw in rock. Rhodes suggests his “local”, Blakes hotel in Chelsea, near the home he shares with his Sicilian girlfriend, Nefer Suvio (he and Julie Anne Friedman divorced in 1992; they have one child together, Tatjana). Taylor, just in from Los Angeles, home to his second wife, Gela Nash, who runs the fashion label Juicy Couture, invites me to his flat in Pimlico. Le Bon, still happily married to the supermodel Yasmin Le Bon with three grown-up daughters, is busy in the studio and Roger Taylor, four children and with second wife Gisella Bernales, is otherwise occupied.
Rhodes, who joins me in the bar at Blakes, has the same peroxide mop and alabaster skin that were always his trademark. He wears black trousers by the English designer Neil Barrett and a Savile Row jacket dressed down with a rock T-shirt from the Los Angeles company Punk Masters.
Four days later, I arrive at Taylor’s flat in a garden square where he greets me at the door dressed in black jeans and T-shirt, with sculpted bed-hair. I’m reminded of the time my brother splashed Sun-In on his to emulate Taylor’s bleached New Romantic fringe.
It’s good to have them back. They started on the new album in September at Flood Studios in Willesden, northwest London, and, as well as Coxon, have been working with three producers: Giorgio Moroder, Ronson and the DJ Erol Alkan. “The whole place is filled with analogue synthesizers, so it’s just joy for me,” says Rhodes, who began life as Nicholas Bates but renamed himself after a make of electronic keyboard.
Rhodes met Moroder — the “godfather of electronica” and the man behind Donna Summer’s I Feel Love — through a mutual friend of his girlfriend. “We talked about music and what had happened to us,” Rhodes says. “He is as sharp as a razor, 79 going on 45.” They worked with Ronson, who has produced Amy Winehouse and Adele, in LA. “The first thing Mark always says is, ‘Let me hear the rest of it,’” Rhodes says with a laugh. “He is quite competitive.”
Taylor, who leads me into a room that’s more gentlemen’s club than rock-star pad with an open fire, armchairs, brown furniture and bad Victorian paintings, says the break of five years has refuelled them. “We have to starve ourselves of creativity long enough that when we do show up we have something to say,” he says. “[The studio sessions] are quite exhausting because we have been down this road. We can finish each other’s sentences and I guess, to some extent, we can do that musically as well. We are working with the same cast; it’s like a soap opera. That’s why collaborators become so important as you need to keep the spirit lively.”
Rhodes, who says the new album is more “handmade” and “guitary”, explains the working dynamics: “John and Roger’s rhythm section often drives a track. Simon, the lyricist, gives all the songs our identity; it’s his voice that tells you it’s Duran Duran. My part has more to do with sonic architecture.” That may be the most Nick Rhodes phrase yet.
We move on to Andy Taylor. “Forty years ago we had Andy in the band and he was a strong flavour and a northerner and brought a rigour,” says John Taylor. “Filling that vacuum has always been one of the major challenges of version two of the band; we did it with Warren Cuccurullo and with Graham on this record. But it’s not the same. Andy didn’t mind telling people what they were doing wrong.”
He pauses. “We had a reunion with Andy [in 2001] and that was enormously difficult, actually.” How so? “That’s a book really,” says Taylor, who has written about the saga, along with his struggle with drink and drugs, in his excellent 2012 memoir In the Pleasure Groove. “Or it’s a mini-series.”
“It was very uncomfortable for us,” Rhodes says of Andy leaving in 1985. “For sure, it had become stressful over the previous year — we were all burnt out from not having stopped for five years — but we didn’t see it coming at all.”
What are relations with Andy like now? “I don’t really have any,” says Rhodes. “I haven’t seen him for many years since he left the last time. I was not even slightly surprised when it did fall apart. I was relieved. As much as Andy is a great musician he is not an easy person to play with.”
I mention to Taylor that Andy has just announced his own UK dates in May, playing Duran songs. “Uh-ha,” he says. He didn’t know. Does he mind? “I don’t mind at all. All power to him,” says Taylor. “I would rather he be out playing.”
Taylor has the sanguine air of someone who has spent decades nuking his demons (he’s currently working on guilt; he had a Catholic mother). He has been sober for 26 years after an addiction which in part led to the break-up of his marriage to the TV presenter Amanda de Cadenet in 1997. Was it hard at first? “It was like turning round an ocean liner,” he says, his voice posh Brum with a California chaser. “I work a daily programme and that’s what keeps me sober. It’s not something that just happens; it takes a lot of attention.”
We move on to the themes of the new, as yet untitled, album. Le Bon lost his mother recently, so we can expect songs inspired by loss. Taylor says he took inspiration from “the challenges of long-term relationships . . . Take a song like Save a Prayer, which personally I think is one of the greatest ever songs in praise of the one-night stand,” he says. “It comes to the point where you can’t write something like that. It’s not age-appropriate; yet it is sexy. So how do you write from the perspective of someone who is trying to keep a long-term relationship together? That is the challenge of any late-age pop star. How do you make it chic, to use one of Nick’s favourite words.”
It is hard to forget how impossibly chic Duran were in the 1980s: from their beginnings in Birmingham (Nick and John, anyway), where they met when Rhodes was 10 and Taylor 12, to a world of famous friends, beautiful partners and exotic travel. Le Bon married Yasmin after seeing her in Vogue, Rhodes was with the shipping heiress Friedman and Taylor the teenage de Cadenet. Andy Warhol was a close friend of Rhodes.
While others were singing about the dark side of Thatcher’s Britain, they were . . . more opaque. “In the 1980s a lot of what we did was somewhat misunderstood because we were living in the same gloomy years with high unemployment and miners’ strikes and civil unrest as everybody else,” Rhodes says. “But our answer to it was we have to get away from this and make it a little brighter because it didn’t seem like a particularly promising future.” Don’t expect that coronavirus torch song any time soon.
Their association with Bond — they wrote the 1985 theme A View to a Kill — only added to the glamour. What do they make of the new one by Billie Eilish? Rhodes admits that he mostly listens to classical music these days but “was thrilled to hear Billie Eilish. I think it’s by far the best Bond song since ours.”
But not better than yours?
“I am very happy that she reached No 1.” Duran’s got to No 2.
Taylor is more critical. “I thought it was lacking in a bit of Billie Eilish to be honest. It could have been madder. It was a little bit too grown up,” he says.
Is it as good as A View to a Kill?
“No!” says Taylor, theatrically. “Although,” he admits, “it was the most difficult three mins that we have ever produced.”
It had a great video, in which the boys slunk around the Eiffel Tower. Taylor frowns. “I hate that video. So stupid. I can’t watch it.” One for the fans, then.
A secret of their longevity, Rhodes says, is not bowing to nostalgia. “I like to keep my blinkers on and look forward.” Having said that, he sounds ready to write his own memoir. “I would do a book yes,” he says. “I haven’t read John’s on purpose. I even wrote a foreword for it for the US version without reading it, but I did own up to it. I think mine would be very different from a lot of the rock biographies. The one that sticks with me is David Niven’s.”
Rhodes featured in Warhol’s diaries and Warhol, the subject of a show at Tate Modern in London that opened this week, would surely feature in his. He “invented the 20th century”, Rhodes says. “Andy was making reality TV in the Sixties. Can you imagine what he would have thought about the internet? It was all his dreams come true, but he would never have got any work done.” Rhodes says he stays off social media for that reason. “It’s not that I don’t like it; I fear it. I am going down a rabbit hole I may never get out of.
They’ve spent twice the time being famous as being unknown. Are they the same people they were in Birmingham 40 years ago?
Rhodes nods. “Yes, yes,” he says. “There have been big changes — marriages, divorces, kids, moving countries in John’s case — but when we are all together we have known each other for so long there is no room for anyone to behave in a way that would be unacceptable. There is no room for divas. We have lasted longer than most marriages; it is like being married to three people but we each get to go home on our own every night.”
Taylor tells me: “Without getting into recovery talk, a lot of that is about scrubbing away the masks that you tend to accrue to cope, so I think I am as close to that person as I was 40 years ago.”
Rhodes says tolerance is the key. “Sometimes when I arrive at the studio it is really bright, maybe someone is writing, and so everyone accepts I can’t cope, and so the lighting comes down.” I tell him I once read he always wears dark glasses before noon. He laughs. “Pretty much. That’s funny. I am hyper-sensitive to light. It’s not just pretentiousness. “
They appreciate they will have to prepare physically for the dates. For Rhodes, a terrible insomniac, that means “fruit and vegetables and grains” and lots of walking. But no workouts (“I am not a big fan of gymnasiums”). Taylor says he needs to start practising bass and the need to get back in shape is “keeping him awake at night”. “I like to run, I do Pilates, I do yoga and I think about everything that enters my mouth, everything. I am 90 per cent vegan. I don’t drink, take mind-altering chemicals. I am on and off sugar.”
Perhaps the greatest sign that they still have it is that their children want to see them play. Taylor just heard from his daughter, Atlanta, who lives in New York and is soon to be married to David Macklovitch from the Canadian band Chromeo.
“It’s a surprise when you get a text from a child and they say, ‘You’re playing Hyde Park — my boyfriend and I want to come.’”

if you have the time,id like to req some giorno hcs related to BbP!! uwu i cant get enough of the golden boi,and i absolutely ADORE ur work
Thank you so much for the adoration (towards my work), my dear friend! I appreciate it very much. Giorno is indeed Golden Boi™, and as you requested, here are some Business Before Pleasure related Giorno/Reader hc’s. Most will be taking place shortly after their wedding, aka… the awkward phase. Giorno is about 21 years old at this point and so is the Reader (takes place 5 years post canon).
A very big thank you to my sweet boyfriend for always being supportive of my writing and being the best muse for Giorno that I could have asked for. He helped me out with these hc’s, and some of them are things that he’s done himself.
Giorno/F!Reader Post-Wedding HC’s
Tumblr media
If you’re new to my work (linked above), the gist of this is that Giorno and F!Reader are wedded through an arrangement proposed to Giorno by Don Vittorio Andolini, the Boss of the Sicilian mafia, and—as you might have guessed—the Reader’s adopted father. Reader and Giorno are actually not upset about the marriage (both know it’s practical and give full consent to the match) but they’re not in love. Yet.
Giorno and his wife (You!!) return to Napoli two weeks after the wedding. You spent your honeymoon in Bali but immediately settle into your new lives as husband and wife.
For the most part, Giorno is very distant. He doesn’t want to bother or trouble you, so he mainly does it so you have your privacy.
On the other hand, he notices that you’re not particularly happy being away from your home or family for the first time in your life (very quiet and distant behavior has sirens and alarms going off in his head), and after making a few concerned calls to his father-in-law asking for advice, Giorno decides to try a little bit harder.
Every week, he’ll buy a bouquet of flowers and has the maids put them in a vase in your room. He makes note of which ones you like and makes sure to get a different variety in each week. Every time he does it he just gets better at picking!
Usually gets gifts. Not every week, like flowers, but if he finds something that reminds him of you, he’ll get it. Usually will get accessories and most of it is jewelry. He won’t get you clothes because he thinks you have good taste already, so unless one of the bodyguards let slip that you’ve been staring at a dress from “so-and so’s boutique,” he won’t be getting you any new clothes. He will, however, let you buy whatever you like and knows you’re responsible enough to not waste any money.
For dates, he’ll often stick to dinner at a restaurant. Giorno is particularly fond of the Spanish Quarter of Napoli, so expect to eat at a variety of establishments in that area. It’s also worth mentioning that a lot of the business owners in that area practically love your husband, so you’re usually treated to free dessert, or sometimes a whole meal! They always insist on giving you the best wine available as well, free of charge.
Will sometimes take you with him to see a variety of performances, either at the Teatro di San Carlo or at the Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majella. Usually it’s at San Carlo, either to see the orchestra perform. If it’s at San Pietro a Majella, it’s most likely a prodigious music student giving a recital. “High society stuff,” if you will. Being the daughter of Don Vittorio Andolini means you’ve been to quite a few fancy places yourself and have at least learned a little more about music history and such. Your father is appreciative of instrumental and vocal music and expected you to also share his sentiments towards it!
Of course, Giorno doesn’t realize that taking you here actually makes you miss your father more, and it’s mostly due to you quietly thanking him for taking you. Better than staying at the house at night and awkwardly having dinner in the dining room…
Either way, he’ll usually take you for a walk around the city afterwards. He doesn’t want you to feel uncomfortable though, considering you’re both still strangers (funny how that works, haha! arranged marriages, am I right?). With that being said, he wants you to feel comfortable, so you both usually walk around without any guards nearby, but Giorno is obviously still concerned for your safety, so he will make sure that some of his more subtle and covert men are tailing you.
Despite his efforts, you actually notice them right away—c’mon, you’ve been followed around by bodyguards all your life! of course you’d notice—but interpret this as a thoughtful gesture on Giorno’s part and pretend not to notice. Evening usually ends with you thanking him, bidding him goodnight as soon as you get home and smiling politely as Giorno presses a kiss to either your knuckles or your cheek. And yes, if you were wondering, it’s awkward as hell. You still appreciate his effort, of course.
Giorno tries to take you out once a week, only because he wants you to feel comfortable with him, both inside and outside the house. Also thinks it’s a great opportunity to get you acquainted with Napoli (though you’re actually quite familiar with it, considering your previous engagement to Don Elio from Chapter 5, aka Don Dickhead).
Only does it once a week by the way. No more than that because he’s not entirely sure if you really like spending time with him alone, so he doesn’t want to impose on you any more than he already is. And—he is absolutely against forcing you to go out with him every other day or so.
Part of him secretly hopes that things will get better, but who knows? He’s not sure what needs to happen to bring you two together, but he is determined to at least make you happy. You did give him the most coveted business tie in the world by linking him to the boss of the oldest crime organization in the world. It’s only right that he try to do it!
A/N: Ahhh!! I really want to get to work on some Post Wedding spinoff fics that I had lined up…. If I have time later on in the semester—or maybe around summer time—I will get to them. I’ve actually sprinkled in some ideas from those into these headcanons, so you may or may not recognize them when I finally publish those spinoffs in the playlist series!
And thank you for sending this request in, my dear friend. I love writing for this fic/series, so this was a really fun request to do. I may have gone a little overboard with it…. But I guess that’s kind of my style, haha! If anyone wants more, just keep them rolling in. xx

Date Night (His)
Florian Munteanu x Plus Size Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: FLUFF
Prompt: Reader visits Florian while he’s away filming and he surprises Reader with a date night
Inspiration: Top 10 Best Movie Theaters Around the World
You're putting on the finishing touches of your glam makeup when you hear Florian yell “Come on Y/N, if you don’t hurry up we’re going to end up being late!” from the bottom of the staircase. You smile and roll your eyes at the thought of Florian waiting impatiently for you to get ready.
You finish putting on some lipstick when you reach for your shoes and head down the stairs before Florian gets the chance to yell at you again. As you reach Florian, his eyes roam over your chosen outfit, a grey and white striped off the shoulder romper and accented with a tie around your waist. It was a simple outfit, one that showed off your figure.
As you finish walking down the stairs, shoes and clutch in hand, it reminds you of the descending stairs scene from the movie “She’s All That”. You think you hear Florian release a long held breath, but you don’t say anything.
“So, are we ready to go?” You ask Florian sarcastically, balancing yourself on the stair railing as you put one shoe on and then the next.
“I’ve been ready for the past 45 minutes Y/N, I’ve just been waiting on you.” Florian replies back. You take in his appearance hungrily, loving his choice of clothes for the evening, white shoes with dark blue jeans, black t-shirt stretched tightly across his broadened chest, black leather jacket and his chain.
“I had to get ready, I don’t know exactly where we’re going and it’s not like you were so forthcoming with any clues. Besides, it’s not like all I have to do is put on a pair of jeans, a shirt, a leather jacket and a pair of Timberlands and be ready in less than 10 minutes like yourself” You reply, reaching for your jacket as Florian motions for you to turn around and he helps to put it on.
“I told you draga, it’s a surprise, trust me, you’ll love it more that way rather than me telling you. You’ll just have to wait and see what it is” Florian replies, wrapping one hand around your waist and leaning down to kiss you on the lips. Without thinking, he deepens the kiss, pulling your body closer to his.
“Woah, down boy, we don’t have time for us to finish what you started” you smile, licking your lips as he pulls away. You can tell that as much as he wanted to continue, it would best be saved for later.
He grabs his flat keys and wallet, grabbing your hand and lead you outside to the car and driver he hired for the night.
Since Florian had a break while filming and you had some spare vacation days that you needed to use ASAP, joining Florian was the best decision. The two of you had spent the past several days enjoying the scenery of Poland, a country both of you had never been before. Florian loved showing you all his favorite places that he had discovered during breaks but the best thing had been getting to spend as much time with Florian while you were apart.
You looked outside the window, falling even more in love with the landscape and beauty, it felt like staring at a postcard. Florian laid one of his hands on one your knee, rubbing his thumb back and forth absentmindedly.
Soon enough the driver was pulling into a large parking lot that was attached to a building that resembled a large stadium. You rolled down your window and peeked your head out the window to get a better glance at the giant building in front of you.
Flo got out the car and walked around to your side, opening the car door for you and helping you get out.
“What are we going to be doing in there that you had to keep it a secret?” You questioned.
“You’ll see shortly Y/N, you’re going to LOVE it.” he tells you, grabbing your hand and giving it a gentle squeeze as he leads you towards the building. As you get closer, the unmistakable aroma of popcorn fills the air.
“Are we at some sort of sporting event?” you inquire, puzzled by the noise that is being emitted from inside. Florian just gives you that sly little grin you love and shrugs those large shoulders of his and says nothing as you join the queue. Finally as you reach the front, you see movie posters lined along a wall.
“Is this a giant cinema?” you press, looking between the building to Florian and the movie posters.
“It is actually, but that’s not the whole surprise” he says, telling the employee two tickets for the special event movie.
“Special event movie?” Raising an eyebrow in question.
Grabbing your tickets both of you head inside and you immediately see why Florian wanted to keep the entire thing a surprise for you, gasping as you cover your mouth from the shock. Instead of the traditional cinema layout, the building was lined with rows and rows of beds with white curtains that could be drawn to give privacy if the viewers wanted it. At the foot of the bed was a screen that each individual bed could watch the movie on, speakers at the head of the bed to allow the viewers to hear the movie.
Tumblr media
“So, what do you think Y/N, was the surprise worth the wait?” Florian says, a smile spreading across his face. At this point, you had no words and could only nod. Laughing, Florian begins to lead the two of you to our assigned bed when you ask if we were planning on getting any snacks.
“Don’t worry about it Y/N, you see the people in the uniforms standing in the aisles?” he says, pointing to a woman not too far from where you were standing. “All we have to do is flag one of them down and order whatever snacks, food and drinks that we want. They’ll even bring us blankets and pillows if we want them. That way, once we get comfy we don’t have to get up.”
Florian again begins to lead you to your designated bed again and as soon as you found it, you jump into the bed with Florian following suit, the both of you laughing hysterically. You get a few annoyed glances shot your way, but that only makes your hushed giggles that much funnier.
As the both of you get comfortable, you flag down one of the people in uniforms that Florian had pointed out earlier and when they reached you, you gave them your order of the usual movie snacks. The employees eyes widen at the enormity of Flo’s order alone, a giggle coming from him as he wanders how they’ll be able to get it to you.
As you were waiting for your drinks and snacks to arrive, you took the opportunity to glance around the building. Strobe-like lighting was attached to the ceiling, large speakers lining the spaces between the lights emitting music to give the entire building a very calming effect. Not too long after, you get your snacks just as the lights are dimmed and the previews begin. As if everything else wasn’t already a surprise enough, one of your all time favorite movies, The Princess Bride, begins to play on the screens.
You turn towards Florian with yet another shocked expression as he smiles back at you. During the movie, the both of you cuddle together on the bed, blankets draped across yourselves. You each whisper your favorite lines, the both of you saying your favorite parts of the wager scene, his deep voice speaking the famous “Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line”, your head bobbing up and down on Flo’s chest as he laughs.
By the time the movie is done, the both of you are full and tired.
“Did you like your surprise?” Florian asks, yawning and stretching.
“I did, thank you so much for the surprise, it was perfect and so much more than I could’ve ever imagined” you say, giving him a kiss. He pulls out his phone and informs the driver from earlier that you’re ready to be picked up.
Gathering your things, you both head outside and slide into the waiting car. Once you reach Flo’s place, the both of you get ready for bed.
As you settle in your usual spot in bed, head on Flo’s chest, one leg across his waist and one arm around his waist. “We should do that more often if our schedules allow it” you yawn, nuzzling your check across his chest.
“As you wish prințesă” him kissing your forehead as you drift off to sleep.

Entanglement of the Mafia Famiglia - Chapter 1
Tumblr media
I’m extremely late in posting this (orz), but @Disu_izu_Fengzy and I have teamed up to translate this event! You can check this thread for an HD video with subtitles or if you’d prefer, the plain text is below!
[Mafia Famiglia - The Jet-Black Omertà]
Masai: 1945, the Mafia Golden Age. A high class neighborhood in the New York suburbs. Masai: In the yard of Don Brioschi, boss of the underworld, a spectacular party is being held for his daughter Elena. Masai: Underneath the dazzling sun, a band plays lively music, and everyone, both men and women, dance and sing.
[A script reading recital for competency]
Kaoruko: "Haah, that was fun. Dancing the La Vinca on a birthday is special!" Nana: "Elena-ojousama, that was a wonderful dance. I will prepare you some juice." {The Boss' Daughter, Elena - Played by Hanayagi Kaoruko} {The Maid Attendant, Melissa - Played by Daiba Nana} Kaoruko: "Melissa! Mm-mm, I'm not done yet. Let's dance together next!" Nana: "After you have finished your greetings, then. Your older brothers have arrived." Kaoruko: "Wow, onii-sama!" Hikari: "Elena! Happy birthday! Your dance today was even better than usual." Junna: "Congratulations, Elena. You've grown into a fine young lady." {Elena's Brother, The Eldest Son - Played by Kagura Hikari} {Elena's Brother, The Second Son - Played by Hoshimi Junna} Hikari: "Indeed. Aah, my cute little sister! C'mere and give me a hug!" Kaoruko: "Onii-sama, spin me around like this! Around and around!" Hikari: "Alright, hold on tight so you don't get thrown off! Here we go!" Kaoruko: "Kyaah♪ Fufufu." Hikari: "Hahaha, dancing with me is pretty good, too, right!" Junna: "Onii-san. If you do that too much Elena is going to get dizzy." Hikari: "Oops, you're right! Elena who was just in the cradle until recently is already 10 years old--I got carried away!" Junna: "You said that last year, too. Well, I understand the feeling." Masai: Stop j~ust a moment. Masai: Can you make the second son a bit more nihilistic? Masai: It's his little sister's birthday, but it's also a family meeting he's keeping a distance from. Junna: 'A bit more nihilistic'... Got it, I'll give it a try. Masai: Please do~ Okay, let's try it once more from here~ Junna: "You said the same thing last year. I mean, I guess I understand the feeling..." Hikari: "I see you're as depressing as ever. It's your little sister's birthday party, you know? Cheer the hell up!" Junna: "Haha, it's not that I'm unhappy. Not all of us can be as simple as you." Hikari: "What did you say?" Kaoruko: "Geez. It's been so long since the three of us have been together, but you're already fighting. Let's all get along and dance♪" Claudine: "The two brothers laughing together along with their angelic little sister? Family really is a wonderful thing..." Futaba: "Master, pardon me. Bartolomei Salvatori would like to have a few words with you..." {Boss of the Underworld, Don Brioschi - Played by Saijo Claudine} {Head Maid - Played by Isurugi Futaba} Claudine: "Bartolo, huh. Bring him here." Futaba: "Are you certain? He's not supposed to set foot on Brioschi territory..." Claudine: "Think of it like prison. Even when someone is put into solitary for causing discord, they're at the very least allowed a meeting with their parents."
Maya: "Pardon me for not contacting you sooner, Don Brioschi. As for young lady Elena, I hope she has a long future ahead." Claudine: "It's good of you to come, Bartolo... No, Don Salvatori. Is this your friend?" Mahiru: "It's an honor to meet you, Don Brioschi." Maya: "A business partner I can trust. We've brought good tidings, as befitting this joyous day." {Boss of a Rival Mafia, Don Salvatori - Played by Tendo Maya} {Boss of a Smuggling Organization - Played by Tsuyuzaki Mahiru} Mahiru: "We're here to ask how you'd feel about getting involved in a new business craze soon. We'd like your cooperation, what with all your influence with politicians." Claudine: "A business craze... In other words, unseasonable 'snow', right?" Mahiru: "Yes. A pure white powder that brings happiness to those who obtain it... It will bring us millions in wealth." Mahiru: "Your share is 30 percent. For the first year, it will be millions of dollars, but after that, the profits will keep on increasing."
Nana: "Boss. I heard those men came to Elena's birthday party. That they brought you a business offer..." Claudine: "I refused. 'Snow' is profitable for sure, but it's not worth destroying the fellowships I've built up." Nana: "New business over old friends. That's what an ambitious person like him must be thinking." Claudine: "I intended to let him pass our boundaries and do as he pleases." Claudine: "However, I'm curious about the smuggler that came with him. Was he aiming for something, or was he searching for something?" Nana: "---Then, I'll have my subordinate look into it."
Karen: "So this is the bar that smuggler hangs out at. Something smells doughy..." Amemiya: It's 'fishy', Aijo-san. Karen: Wah, sorry! Is it 'cause I ate kinako sticks earlier...? {Melissa's Subordinate - Played by Aijo Karen} Futaba: If it's the kinako sticks' fault, then I'm not giving you anymore of them. Karen: Eeh!? I won't make a mistake next time, so forgive me~! One more time! I'll go one more time, okay! Masai: O~kay, then let's repeat it once more from here. Karen: "So this is the bar that smuggler hangs out at. Something smells fishy..." Mahiru: "Don't move. What does the Brioschi family want?" Karen: "Hold on, I came to cooperate. Y'know, 'snow', that business offer." Mahiru: "Hoh. You're here as Don Brioschi's middleman? You don't look like you're in the position to be, though." Mahiru: "Leaving that aside, we have a proposal for you. If you assist us, it'd be a great help... Right, boss?" Maya: "Precisely. I have a better role for you to play than a rat. The glorious role of being Lady Elena's kidnapper." Karen: "Salvatori...! You're kidnapping Lady Elena?" Maya: "You're free to refuse the offer or to negotiate the performance fee. However... The boss taught you that a Sicilian man must treasure his family, isn't that right?" Karen: "...! Do you mean to hurt my family...!?" Karen: "Did you forget the 'Jet-Black Omertà'? You swore non-aggression to us when you became the master of a household!" Maya: "I did not forget it. That's why I said this is an important role only you can play." Karen: "What is your goal... Answer me, Salvatori!" Mahiru: "Don't get so heated. You came here to cooperate, right? By your own will, without anyone instructing you." Maya: "Lady Elena is being attended to by that filthy hit woman. Seeing her nonchalantly pressing juice at the party made me sick." Maya: "That's why I'll remind them. That the blood that runs through our bodies is still dark...!" Mahiru: "Lady Elena will be the bait to lure out Melissa." Karen: "Good God! Reconsider! You don't understand the significance of what you're trying to do!" Maya: "You're my blue bird. And for bringing me happiness, grazie!"

Rory Gimore Reading Challenge
I put it there has a reminder to myself that I want to read more (so much more). The public library will be more accessible to me when I am going to be where I’m moving this summer, so, no excuses. Even if I should really work on my art more than on my reading. Would be nice if it could help me feel less... inadequate. Somehow. Just a little.

so some updates um it's on the mob
i know who it was that's sending some message now it was a blonde male from the basketball and also another was his favorite restaurant an italian place landini brothers the waiter person there who one day i saw had tattoos don't know if that's real but those conspirators and things upset about and the mafia um education popularity
also the other person the georgia roommate parts about that one was someone was i think didn't follow the elephant republican side effects all the all the way to the bottom and backed out and another mentor figures sex thoughts so peoples life purposes and holes in stories or ejaculation
lots of people still trying to keep tabs on me the local alexandrians like someone now trying to off the um person who allegedly is crazy and witness protection program so pimps bookies um my dad and his career so not brando someone else and different people i know i can point out of a crowd their off base bullying (thus always to tyrants va or other personalities that if i thought i'd know who it was)
snitching um scanned 3 magazines um things people weren't familiar with and passionate love affairs teachers lessons um synopsis peoples secrecy missing people the drug business um
the school people so that whole thing sort of lumped as les miserables despite i think a rumor was actual legitamite french had eaten bodily fluids and my citizenship over there um cousin and masturbation secret rooms muslims um
so what's out there um not really offended or well i guess that's not me so moving on um the hbo sopranos and peoples attrition to um secrecy the senator these characters in the plot mario puzo the god father or um still pointlessness it's not real it's as the georgian even said and found out it's a lie
so um misled um old personalities it's the same people it's the same earth coincidentally you don't really um leave the familiarity online predators and plots on the sex schemes um the next door website and being denied service um back to va and things that'll happen as that is dealt with in reality so me um think tomorrow should go okay mostly i'd rather do this then the other stuff due to last times lessons
peoples um education formatted to outrageous cockameeny things like murders prostitutes drug addiction um divorces misled reenlistment
coincidentally another was the oh fbi watchlist actually works for me but it was that oh my entertainment career was destroyed but i am ok sort of um oh all these true things i said that turn out to be completely true so like things i even predict or notice such as i was going to do a here's who the people notifying me are list of them and their motives all of that stuff but then you can't really do much
so there's my i believe jewish roommate from vcu and the intro to someone who had the same name as dexter there's that
there's the person i labeled muslim from maybe isa before the close with sports bets
um there's the thai guitarist who was violent and showed drug systems distribution
there's the artist with the road bike and all of them
there's the new yorkers further about the it was crime syndicates or representatives
my brother and me trying to not have him get into messy things
saw mccusker the other day his i image outrageous career
the west potomac
an example of the true story i see i am at anita's and say that here's what i think this is it's drugs rockstars um transgenders then am reminded there's the coheed and cambria taking back sunday miami tour on a cruise ship
so this one um the big release with the prequelle to the sopranos is ramping up other times things ramp up new school year anniversaries sometimes secretive um election day other changes
so the jewish ghetto and the term is about um hidden societies the amish um oh trafficking births and the city lens on that there's like the yankees or those companies maggiano's is over here
peoples kids going missing um that's some music history is a tangent but um your profession and your passion for fun um love affairs the term was trap lords for getting somehow incriminated
i think a cop family kid both may be going closer towards the std i deemed broken needles so that being hogging sex and then replies to that um other things spokesperson tattoos their lost and getting losed in the crime worlds with the badge as as stated knowing people parents um wills and that trying to agitate and mislead see the story of insurance or the holocaust or others fixed stalking
the doctor maybe mistaken but maybe he is a social worked power on how people will get cornered or dead ends see third eye blind their hit single semi charmed life
ok so different lots of the west potomac's that clothes look affiliation from the veterans affairs off post from fort belvoir and blasting on civilians um a university brand law things followers
the anonymous computer gang one focal point a personality in school others um even unknowns but some if paying attention knowing it like hackers met or which one
mil attempted lifers um benefits arrivals presentation
ok so the drug world a manager teeth missing and pharmacy people the food and drug reps like jansen or dr hines and me getting mostly blessed from them sit here tell what i saw then everythings ironed out and provided for and don't raise the alarms little checkpoints so the term a made man
um who to listen to now there's like shoe box stops on that like don't click that it'll show up and you'll so hearing damage in the neighborhood um the usmc childhood person and all the people branched off from that
ok so the adultery part don't get upset and my parents business so there was other parts tax collectors that's a movie too but people in government so that mentality um sex breaks how that works spirit breaking um different factions arts and education alternatives the record store and others calling but ironies and foolishness
the married so my parents provided for the future um the beneficiary people the school so peoples teaching lesson on that get him pussy you get reward and certificate and people pursuing hiv
um the person from this site that'd be other richmonders um publishers and asians category um inherent vice pynchon defectors
so the cops or which one is it now knowing which local personality the sports gamers with the mortgage clouts those people swinging through um
over here no one showing up to um well there's the cleaners reports so told about a popular middle school person and different branches from that the caverns (rhymes with taverns) and that's like the beatles
tearjerkers from others someone might be gay and eating bodily fluids and lots of people outsourcing schools favors vandalism jumping someone um wild stuff
carrier pigeons the leader the name movie references and um hmm georgian life that like no not near the potomac river something about that as a comfort the reagan airport um the land locked part nebraska others crazy out landish quests
sex tourism here um higher roads and maybe rewards coincidentally
porn changes not interracial and um hanger ons
so getting flattered the sicilian
so the professor his getting me and working together that'd be him and a dwarf (references to books on deciphering and telephone a galaxy) so them typing up a home made gift for me and other things penis guitar um public opinions
grand dad looked mostly okay getting skeletony skeletal um get him out of the keeping place for now heard of hospital for dehydration assume that's actually his two kids who live with him bullying him like head games from their background but so hmm see some of these old timers just keep on going getting the right kick on
so the birchmere club thought haven't been as often little hearing issue but there's a personality there who maybe mistaken i openly we talked about lgbtq that explanation so them um the cool cop who'll show you your way everything high strung think when i was in restaurants pees tips so what's the new music um kingston trio vinyl in my case
showing up for what and the muslims that handled so iraq afghanistan jerusalem like crazy veteran stories more than just a black hat with a caregiver seated going somewhere the turbo
harrisonburg so hearsay um sex addiction drug dealers game zones um vices vices so peoples short cuts a restaurant what common knowledge and directions will tell you as in my case 'cop outs' don't always work also fault finding that now
saw the stones later this like bad ass dangerous turtle thing in head like also british things humor um national geographic a big rollins head the um discipline and some of these song bird stories at dc a nickname was song bird mccain
the blacks vietnam um smokers
people infusing sex with games and other unoffensive details
my blood pressure cuff
calm and relaxed there's some doctors the maybe not retirement circuit so active duties um the reward they got for their effort sex gains and freedoms um then drug scripts the pharmacy that legal and head ache frustration free
so others a painting um american claude monet blonde blue eyes um the other games workshop mcfarlane not as much facebook but um maybe second veteran not generation but va gi bill voc rehabers um each person corner the gays um asian food um high octane and the nfl um each of these then the high traffick time how forgetful
sex
so banned books and others things um words um usages exhale america
ok so thought the real time was sort of not possible though i continued and also it was the other things insurance modesty explaining the guy instead of bill gill um popeye's um over here different map and cool cars um attitude or misleading um
did also thing despite it was very viewed i clicked to see how many two nephew visiting weekly maids
drama going on um the moles in tradoc and apparent back breakers injection knock out drills um phases so new lifes abandoning others um grossness as a weapon unemployment throughout um not annoying transgender um drunkenness inebriated highs um the ivy leaguers and the libraries and effects of purchases
youtube online publishers um companies sites a cafe caffeine um old memories of rare limited edition entertainment
so the story soon movie survey

https://youtu.be/GWllXKXoHN8?t=112
and sammy also likes this style of clothes
https://youtu.be/GWllXKXoHN8?t=157
her hair is a wig??
https://youtu.be/GWllXKXoHN8?t=178
damn this is real weapon
4k.. so.. there’s.. 1080p.. and then it’s.... 1440p is.. 2.5k.. and then it’s 4k..
https://youtu.be/GWllXKXoHN8?t=137
could you see difference in 4k and 1080p in here??
it’s old movie.. they didn’t have 4k back then.. most likely.. but maybe they recorded it... like.. I don’t know..

https://youtu.be/21PfWvJrQ_k?t=379
I saw this thing already
f*ck you...
I wasn’t bad with wingman
but my team was really aggressive
still not bad though.. top 3
I’m depressed because I heard mean stuff again
I wanna kick this fucking idiot’s ass
fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you omfg.
stupid shit
why.. do I have to live with these shits
I’m depressed because of this stupid shit
fuck you
stupid shit..
stupid idiot
stupid trash
I don’t know how much I’m gonna be able to put up with it
I mean I don’t know how much I can stand this shit
he just comes and get me completely out of tune.. he’s so.. omfg..it’s going away
I felt a relief.
he pushed me completely out of tune.. but now I felt better.. I felt super trash
f*ck you. I need to stop repeating this
it usually just goes away after like.. 30 minutes.. when people make you mad..
usually like more than 30 minutes.
when people make you super mad. but now I felt better I felt a relief.
he wasn’t takling to me since.. yesterday.. because I didn’t see him today.. when I don’t see people for longer time they make me mad when they talk to me
https://youtu.be/BN5me-2CZWw?t=7
https://youtu.be/BN5me-2CZWw?t=42
I said in the past.. that poppy’s music wasn’t a failure
because people criticized her
f*ck.. like.. really.. like.. if my mother was here.. then my brother would stop using me..
and he would calm the f*ck down.. but..
he was supposed to go to work.. like.. he said he found a job..
but.. I don’t know if he actually took it.. because he wanted to be back for christmass.. and there’s like.. not much time to christmass.. sh*t.. I wanted to sell my graphics card before they release the.. 3060..
3060 is gonna cost like... I guess.. like.. 300$?? 350??
https://images.app.goo.gl/ytaZ6795Viu9FcRA9
lol.. what the fuck.. they were supposed to be cheaper.. of course.. they’re not as cheap as they said.. there are additional taxes or something.. I don’t know
https://images.app.goo.gl/wE9Y2Zj1cFFd1DSd7
hm...
https://images.app.goo.gl/J994zz4nDjck1pFT8
lol..
https://images.app.goo.gl/BQ6EWkTqutgLs17K6
3070 was supposed to be 500$
so 3060 is not gonna be as cheap either.. I though 3080 was supposed to be 500$.. without taxes.. with taxes and fees it’s even more
that’s good.. but.. I should.. sell my card.. it’s getting old.. someone else can use it instead..
I guess
because I don’t need it now
I wouldn’t put it in a computer that I would be building right now.. if I were to build a computer now..
I would put at least something that I have right now in my pc..
lol. imagine that my ram cost almost as much as graphics card..
ram is so expensive
I can sell my old grpahics card.. but.. like.. honestly like.. cpi.. you know.. money loses value just like a grpahics card.. so I.. think.. what should I invest this money..
stupid.. everything is dumb.. all this.. money.. you know.. property.. something is someone’s property because he bought it with money.. stupid.. hate it.
just because people pay money for something.. it wasn’t like that before.. the world wasn’t ruled by money before.. there was no paper no money in the past.. only stones..
just because someone paid certain amount of money for something.. doesn’t mean that it’s his..
just because somebody makes money.. makes them.. a government friend.. so he gets “protection” from the government.. fuck you.. stupid shits..
and government pays police.. stupid shit..
I don’t know what the fuck is going wrong with this world..
sh*t.. I use so much bottled water.. how do I replace.. people produce.. these.. I mean.. they start using.. some different bottles..
like.. the one I have.. says.. “50% recycled”
there was a video of this taiwanese girl on youtube.. she made this video about bottles.. she lives here.. speaks same language..
she speaks language really well
this bottle has really pretty color. it looks really cool
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyethylene_terephthalate
wow.. this is the plastic they also use in clothes
this bottle is thick and.. has.. like.. circle rows around the bottom.. to make it more firm..
and it has blue color
https://youtu.be/sdKoEVCr_l8?t=552
https://youtu.be/sdKoEVCr_l8?t=569
xD
https://youtu.be/sdKoEVCr_l8?t=643
https://youtu.be/SXERbA_YXog
like.. one of the most annoying things.. is that.. my mother.. doesn’t let me open windows.. and.. she.. turns on all the heaters to max..
and she plays loud music all the time.. and.. there are more really bad things..
like.. talking on the phone 24/7.. on speaker.. with some random dudes.. very loud.. all the time..
https://youtu.be/SXERbA_YXog?t=111
lol.. not a bug courier.. I’ve already had enough of bugs.. (I mean this spider.. who crept all day since yesterday)..
https://youtu.be/SXERbA_YXog?t=114

not moving since yesterday.. and suddenly disappearing when I killed a fly..
that’s “prowling” spider.. they don’t make any webs.. they just travel.. to find food
https://youtu.be/3BsOOOH_Nic?t=73
her inventory.. looks like this: 10 stacks of heavy and light ammo. xD
I had a super long range headshot again.. with wingman.. I always hit headshots in long range for some reason.. instead of normal body shots..
the game still wasn’t bad.. +64 points or something like that..
that was like.. my first game or something..
https://youtu.be/3BsOOOH_Nic?t=201
I shouldn’t have fought highground.. on one team.. in one game..
wingman is f*cking insane
so there are 2 markets in my town now.. xD and the 2nd one that was built recently.. wants to take other one’s customers.. so they made a lot of discounts.. and now they stopped doing discounts.. and the 2nd market started doing discounts..
is he gonna like.. leave to work.. because I’m having enough of him.. I mean.. I don’t wanna do anything
https://youtu.be/3BsOOOH_Nic?t=524
at least she has enough money to do free content
https://youtu.be/3BsOOOH_Nic?t=613
she wouldn’t have chance against me.. with me with wingman
I mean.. once I would.. practice.. because I need more practice

“Species in the latter genus are important predators in several agricultural systems, especially tree crops. They are able to detect and feed on insect eggs, despite their poor eyesight. They share this ability at least with some miturgid spiders.“
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheiracanthiidae
I don’t know what type exactly it is.. it’s very long..
I don’t know if he was there.. now I can’t see him.. he’s such a..

he wanted to come out because he wanted to find food.. I turned the light off the light.. so he can come out..
he’s gonna eat all the dead flies..
because the flies.. come inside here.. because it’s colder outside now.. because winter is coming

https://youtu.be/EBaa1lJwUNg?t=66
https://youtu.be/K1rH_BdaLpo?t=80
but.. the design of each language.. is.. to be able to express everything.. so like.. nobody needs more than one language.. to say whatever they want.. but.. if people don’t speak same language.. then they can’t understand anything

Movies 2018
List of films I watched in 2018 from best to worst.
Updated soon after I’ve seen them.
A Ghost Story [David Lowery, 2017, United States] No film has made me feel this melancholic ever. This is a film so profound, it examines existence in the simplest yet most esoteric way possible. It surely goes straight to the top of my all-time favourite list. 10/10
Burning (Boening) [Chang-dong Lee, 2018, South Korea] Shows the interrelation of hunger and class, the truths and the unknowns. Of how desires could either free you or cage you in unhappiness and despair. A mystery of misery that parallels its political viewpoint. 10/10
Roma [Alfonso Cuaron, 2018, Mexico] Its technical expertise in every element of every frame and composition is overwhelming. It's a movie about contrasts and how each opposite gives life balance, told with such authenticity, it's luxurious cinematic experience. 10/10
Women of the Weeping River [Dayoc, 2016, Philippines] A film about a generational blood feud, and also a metaphoric portrayal of the unending armed conflicts in Mindanao where the vulnerable is the most at risk, and the strong isn’t really unbreakable. 10/10
Kung Paano Hinihintay Ang Dapithapon [Carlo Catu, 2018, Philippines] a small film that tackles layers after layers of things too close to heart. Sincere and profound, definitely my favourite. 10/10
Loveless (Nelyubov) [Andrey Zvyagintsev, 2018, Russia] cold and chilling in all aspect from start to end. It has such great observation of the recognizable societal apathy. 10/10
Beats Per Minute (BPM) [Robin Campillo, 2017, France] Goosebumps. This is a film clear of its objective, it is exhilarating and exhausting in the good kind of way. 10/10
Cold War (Zimna Wojna) [Pawel Pawlikowski, 2018, Poland] Makes something despairing so beautiful with its artful composition, rightly-paced narrative transition, and cold but affecting character treatment. 10/10
Faces Places [JR, Agnès Varda, 2018, France] Wow. This is the film to watch when your soul is dying for art. Tears, I can't help them from falling. 10/10
Sid & Aya [Irene Villamor, 2018, Philippines] It’s too beautiful, I’m crying halfway through the film for how beautiful it is. You can watch this film without audio and understand it by its lighting, it’s that amazing. 10/10
Arrhythmia (Aritmiya) [Boris Khlebnikov, 2017, Russia] For a movie with characters of increasingly tenuous emotional bond, this is teeming with sensitivity and sensibility. It has so much love, neutrality, and longing, yet so cold and fleeting. Definitely, an emotional rollercoaster of my liking. 10/10
Shoplifters [Hirokazu Kore-eda, 2018, Japan] a film that questions if blood is thicker than the ties that bind us. Here’s Kore-eda capturing our hearts again with his gently-observed humanism. 10/10
Gusto Kita With All My Hypothalamus [Dwein Baltazar, 2018, Philippines] a genius anti-romance that plays along the lines of loving the thought of being in love and making yourself believe in your own ethereality. I love it. 10/10
Balangiga: Howling Wilderness [Khavn, 2017, Philippines] Disheartening and provocative in all its hypnagogia. 10/10
A Star is Born [Bardley Cooper, 2018, United States] If only for its music and its astounding performances, I'm already sold. 10/10
Oda sa Wala [Dwein Baltazar, 2018, Philippines] Is an ode to nothing, to the unseen, to the nobody, to the dead that's more alive than the living and to the living that's more dead than those who died. Baltazar has this gilt-edged technique that leaves its audience wretched yet buoyant. 10/10
The Shape of Water [Guillermo del Toro, 2017, United States] Elegant in its visuals, storytelling, and performances. It is del Toro’s best yet. 10/10
The Guilty (Den Skyldige) [Gustav Möller, 2018, Denmark] Is clever in its minimalism. A fast-paced action thriller and a psychological suspense, all shot entirely between four walls. 9.5/10
Hereditary [Ari Aster, 2018, United States] Unsettling down to the core with a convincing cast and a powerful storytelling. 9.5/10
Batch 81 [Mike de Leon, 1982, Philippines] In its subversiveness and its sardonic undertone is a remarkable spectacle of expertise, bravery, esoterica, and dynamism. 9.5/10
Dogman [Matteo Garrone, 2018, Italy] Examines a man's need to be recognized as a chihuahua in a shepherd's world. 9.5/10
BuyBust [Erik Matti, 2018, Philippines] a spectacular display of astounding filmmaking where every element is designed and choreographed fittingly well. Entertaining yet harrowing from start to finish, it's the kind of film that stays. 9.5/10
God’s Own Country [Francis Lee, 2017, United Kingdom] Features a kind of romance with such carefully-observed realism. It was very well portrayed. Very well. 9/10
Sunday's Illness (La Enfermedad del Doming) [Ramon Salazar, 2018, Spain] Scene after scene of mesmerizing mystery and such powerful attention to detail. 9/10
Annihilation [Alex Garland, 2018, United States] Though at times flawed, it ended with such thought-provoking, ambitious, and lasting impact. 9/10
Captain America: Civil War [Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, 2016, United States] it’s hard to point out which part of the film I didn’t like, that’s if I hated anything. 9/10
The Florida Project [Sean Baker, 2017, United States] Kids, no matter the social class, are still just kids in search for adventure, friendship, and love. This movie doesn't feel like a movie at all, it's brilliant. 9/10
Signal Rock [Chito Rono, 2018, Philippines] Very raw and phenomenal. Each character formidably plays an important role in characterizing a small town of heartwarming spirit. If not for its distracting bad CGI which I think is unnecessary, I’d give it a perfect 10. 9/10
Beti [P. Sheshadri, 2017, India] manages to oppose patriarchy in Indian culture in such an innocent yet intelligible perspective. 9/10
Train to Busan [Yeon Sang-ho, 2016, South Korea] When everyone's becoming a monster, humanity is the way to survive. Fast-paced. Thrilling. Heartfelt. I honestly feel like Train to Busan lacks a stronger female character, but it's interestingly very human that I'm completely captured by it. 9/10
ML [Benedict Mique, 2018, Philippines] teeming with ingenuity and masteful filmmaking, it’s a suspense too relevant for anyone to miss. 9/10
Liway [Kip Oebanda, 2018, Philippines] Is at most powerful when it exposes the correlation of facts and fiction. Doesn’t hit you right away but when it does, it hits hard. It hits still. 9/10
Sicilian Ghost Story [Fabio Grassadonia, Antonio Piazza, 2017, Italy, France, Switzerland] Cinematic and poetic. Beautiful in all its mythological symbolism. 9/10
Get Out [Jordan Peele, 2017, United States] a satire of utmost significance, it lives. 9/10
Si Chedeng at Si Apple [Rae Red, Fatrick Tabada, 2017, Philippines] Hilarious with punchlines, intelligent with comebacks. This is comedy with brain, soul, and heart. 9/10
Happy as Lazzaro (Lazzaro Felice) [Alice Rohrwacher, 2018, Italy] a charming small film with a subtext of such vivid social allegory. 9/10
I am Not a Witch [Rungano Nyoni, 2018, United Kingdom] For a debut film, this is quite a remarkable take on exploitation, abuse, and misogyny. 9/10
A Quiet Place [John Krasinski, 2018, United States] For a film that’s supposed to be silent, I find it quite overscored. Still a good watch though. 9/10
Ang Panahon ng Halimaw [Lav Diaz, 2018, Philippines] Sarcasm at its best. Quite fun. 9/10
L'amant Double [Francois Ozon, 2018, France] Wild and mindblowing, a film of endless curiosity. 9/10

Padman [R. Balki, 2018, India] Speaks volumes in a humorous way. Something enlightening and empowering, I love it. 8/10
Gutland [Govinda Van Maele, 2017, Luxembourg] For a debut feature, Van Maele is a master of slow-burn tension. 8/10

A Taxi Driver [Hun Jang, 2017, South Korea] an entertaining yet affecting tribute to nameless heroes. 8/10
Memoir of War (La Douleur) [Emmanuel Finkiel, 2017, France] Sadly, its visual choices, experimental scoring, and drawn out structure don't match Marguerite Duras's poetic writing. 8/10
The Wound (Inxeba) [John Trengove, 2017, South Africa] More than the physical wound from a boy's transition to manhood, this movie tackles a deeper kind of pain, the kind that scars forever. 8/10

The Other Side of the Wind [Orson Welles, 2018, United States] Not for a Welles beginner but is surely a completist's delight. 7.5/10
Felicite [Alain Gomis, 2017, Senegal, Congo, France] With such lyrical tone, its narrative was thinly sketched that some of its elements don't match. 7.5/10

Avengers: Infinity War [Anthony and Joe Russo, 2018, United States]
The Invitation [Karyn Kusama, 2016, United States] I know a psychological thriller like this is effective when I find myself so uncomfortable, wanting to leave, cautious of being brainwashed. 7.5/10

Musmos Na Sumibol sa Gubat ng Digma [Iar Arondaing, 2018, Philippines] At times, it feels like it's trying too hard both to make a point and to sound subtle to a point that it feels a bit disconnected. 6.5 /10
What If It Works [Romi Trower, 2018, Australia] Delightfully charming amidst the chaos of mental disorders. Works quite well. 6.5 /10
Eternity Between Seconds [Jan Alec Figuracion, 2018, Philippines] There’s comfort somewhere between the discomforts of bad acting here. 6.5 /10
Love, Simon [Greg Berlanti. 2018, United States] It’s a very familiar coming-of-age romance, but that familiarity is what made it stand out. 6.5 /10
Blockers [Kay Cannon, 2018, United States] Definitely my kind of humour. The sarcastic wit is overflowing. 6.5 /10
Alex Strangelove [CraigJohnson, 2018, United States] Nothing too new but isn't short of likeable. 6.5/10
Lobster Cop [Li Xinyun, 2018, China] Hilarious. I’d like it to be more brutal with its action scenes but it’s already otherwise quite entertaining. 6.5/10
Ant-man and the Wasp [Peyton Reed, 2018, United States] Funny as always, but I'm in love with Paul Rudd so I must be biased. 6.5/10
Kuya Wes [James Mayo, 2018, Philippines] explores the fundamental need of being appreciated in a light yet stinging narrative. I don't like a number of things, but the soundtrack works well, it's satiating. 6.5/10
To All the Boys I've Loved Before [Susan Johnson, 2018, United States] There's substance in its shallowness, it's charming. 6.5/10
The Snow White Murder Case [Yoshihiro Nakamura, 2014, Japan] It’s a little too long to keep it entirely interesting. 6.5/10
Cardinals [Grayson Moore, Aidan Shipley, 2018, Canada] It was burning slowly until it was shot to the head. Could have been more painful if not for its loose ending. 6.5/10

Deadpool 2 [David Leitch, 2018, United States] Started off fun, ended up exhausting. 6/10
Bird Box [Susanne Bier, 2018, United States] a film with no emotional connection, no proper climax, and therefore no sensical resolution. 6/10
Madilim Ang Gabi [Adolf Alix, 2018, Philippines] seems like a show-off of stars after stars after stars playing bit roles to the point that it already feels unauthentic. 6/10
Call Her Ganda [PJ Raval, 2018, Canada, Philippines] I'm not convinced of its storytelling, still an important one to watch though. 6/10
A Million Happy Nows [Albert Alarr, 2017, United States] Despite the smallness of this film, it actually hits big. 6/10

The Flu [Kim Sung-soo, 2013, South Korea] Stupid but fun. It's the kind of silly you enjoy. 5/10
Ali and Nino [Asif Kapadia, 2017, Azerbaijan, Georgia] Badly-acted, badly-designed production. Offers nothing much of excitement. 4/10
Unexpectedly Yours [Cathy Garcia-Molina, Philippines, 2017] Fun at times. Corny at most. 4/10
Forget About Nick [Margarethe von Trotta, 2017, Germany] is as if made as an example of movies that failed the Bechdel test from supposed to be feminist directors. 4/10
I Love You, Hater [Giselle Andres, 2018, Philippines] I find its main plot gender insensitive so it’s a nope nope for me. 4/10

Me and the Devil
Chapter Two:
Characters: Talon!Dick, Arkham Knight!Jason, Carmine Falcone
Warnings: violence
Words: 5k+???
Other: totally figured out how to put in a Read More on mobile so i can finally post it here!
In the bleak, black night, a lithe figure perched atop a roof. One could nearly mistake him for a statue, the way he held still as death with skin nearly as gray as the unforgiving stone he rested upon. It almost seemed as if he wasn't even breathing. Watching, always watching. Predatory gaze, sharp as razors and twice as lethal, was fixated on a nightclub of some renown crawling with patrons. That is where his prey waited. Carmine Falcone. A Sicilian mobster heading one of the oldest gangs in Gotham. No longer, not after tonight. He should not have tried to cross The Arkham Knight. Should not have tried to take what belonged to The Talon. His fate was sealed the moment he dared think of such mutiny.
At the moment, Talon debated on how he wanted to catch the rat. He could simply walk into the club. It's not as if any could stop him. All those flashing lights and pounding bass left him considering other options. That serum The Court injected him with enhanced his senses, particularly his sight and auditory senses. All those people he would tear down, their screams added to the deafening music and blinding lights, would be just another form of torture to the assassin. A masochist, he was not. And it is of no doubt that such an ostentatious entrance would draw unwanted attention of the caped variety. Now was not the time to alert The Bat of his existence. His time would come. It was just a matter of waiting for the right moment to strike. Waiting, always waiting.
Cutting through the back would be effortless. Security wouldn't even need to know he was there. A simple snatch and grab with no evidence would be most efficient. Child's play to this creature with years of stealth discipline beneath his belt. However, he wanted the mobster to know what he did and why death was coming for him. Wanted everyone to know that they cannot touch what belonged to The Talon without unholy retribution. His constant desire to be in the spotlight, all eyes on him like that time long since past in Haly's warred endlessly with the ingrained training to remain a soundless wraith. He had been born and raised to be a showman. From the circus to the manor of a billionaire, and even the shadow of The Bat, he'd always been in the limelight. The Court had no need for an assassin who would get caught. So, they had beaten that desire for attention like a wayward mutt until it retreated. They no longer dictated his life.
He threw himself from his perch and fell toward the pavement with sickening speeds. Somewhere in his memories, he knew he used to enjoy this, the sensation of flying, the rush of the fall. Now it was just muscle memory. The Flying Graysons truly died when Richard Grayson's heart took its last beat, even if this rapacious spector went on with his face. He swung effortlessly to the club's roof and landed with virtually no noise. It was unnatural, the way he ghosted through the streets without so much as a whisper in his wake. Even the infamous Batman was unaware of the revenant stalking the city he thought was his. The Bat was wrong. Gotham belonged to no mortal. She was a wicked and greedy siren. No, Batman belonged to Gotham. Here he was born. Here he would die. Her Gray Son would ensure she got her due. He was cold and empty inside, but there was just the faintest spark, a sort of hunger. For the first time in years, Talon felt. He found himself almost eager to confront the one he once viewed as a father. There would be no tears shed on his part. After all, when has a corpse ever cried?
Deft hands made short work of the locks and he slipped into the building, intent on catching his target. Each move was serpentine smooth as he clung to the shadows. Cold, voracious eyes landed on a meandering guard, armed and unaware of the skulking predator. The man was of average height with a broad muscled build. There was a look to him. It reminded Talon of a cobra; cruel and venomous. He was just another on the seemingly endlessly list of remorseless horrors walking the streets. The heavens would not mourn his loss. The assassin crept ever closer.
The guard didn't notice the approaching killer. Futile as his efforts would have been, he could have prepared or tried to escape, perhaps radio a warning. Instead, quietus drew ever near. Closer and closer still, until he was but a breath away. He could feel the body heat radiating off of the man. That hunger in the former hero rose. The monster crawling beneath his flesh screamed for satisfaction. He did not hunger for flesh or blood, but something more. Talon craved the fire of his very soul. All that the assassin had been was ripped violently away, leaving a frigid husk in its place. Every person he saw had that heat in them; that spark of life he's been denied. He wanted to tear it out of them with his bare hands and shove it into his own chest. Maybe then he wouldn't feel so empty. So cold.
Talon wrapped his arms around the man's throat and mouth, effectively cutting off any chance to cry for help. As he strangled the air from the struggling man's lungs, he leaned even closer until his lips nearly brushed the guard's ear. The howling in his bones reached a crescendo. His jaw ached to tear the man open. To return what had been taken from him.
Muscles coiled and the struggling ceased. Talon dropped the body to the floor with disinterest. The throbbing hollowness remained. Another useless sacrifice. He spared but a glance before he continued down the winding hall. As he passed by an opened door leading to the club, he spotted his prey watching the dance floor like a king lording over his court. The pounding of the club was like screeching in the assassin's ears. He could hear the patron's singing and laughing, talking and fighting. There was so much life, so much heat, he was nearly drawn in. How he wanted to rob them of it all. For a moment, he envisioned killing them all. Body after body after body. Perhaps that will dull the ache. But no, not now. Keen gaze returned to the mobster.
The boss looked up as he felt the cold wings of death pass over him. For a moment, he thought he saw a sleek black figure standing opposite of him, watching with unblinking, incandescent eyes. But just as quick as he saw it, it was gone. He blamed it on the stress of dealing with these morons and the flashing lights playing with his vision. He shook his head as he made his way back to his desk, ready to count his earnings. Carmine was waiting on a report from Roberts on the 'deal' with that new player, The Arkham Knight. What a fucking name. Leave it to this city to spit out another crazy costumed freak. Things were easier in the old days, when Bats didn't fly around and beat the shit out of people and clowns were actually funny. No one had any class or taste any more.
He sat down and took a sip of his bourbon, not looking forward to the long night of working with these idiots, but at least he would profit. Might as well be him who gained from this new mook. He nearly choked on his liquor once he noticed someone else in his office. They had a slender body, effeminate in structure and oh so pretty to see bending over the rail to watch the sites below in their tight, tight black suit. 'Is that latex?' For all his knowledge on weapons and armor, Falcone fell short in the variations used in the capes and tights community. All he saw were pleasant curves and the enticing lines of yellow curling over inviting hips. Carmine blinked in surprise, confusion clear on his face for a moment. Confusion, interest, and a touch of anger. He didn't send for any whores. Hell, he didn't even hear his door open or close. He most certainly didn't appreciate others entering his office without his consent, no matter how nice the sight.
"Who the hell let you back here?"
Nothing but silence met his inquiry. Then, the owner stood, all liquid grace and enviable poise. Those lovely hips led up to broad shoulders, which, admittedly, Carmine was taken aback by. He felt almost ill when he saw the face to the voice. Gray-washed skin looking more at home on a corpse than a living person was lined with black veins, as if someone injected ink into his blood. Vibrant gold eyes stared at the mobster like a starving panther. He felt his heart stutter then pick up pace. This...this was not natural. Whatever this thing was, it needed to die. Quick as he could, he drew his gun and pointed it at the monster. It didn't even bother to look at the magnum. The way It watched the mobster made him feel as if he were pointing his fingers and not a weapon of death.
Talon took a step forward. 'BANG!'a bullet tore through his chest. He looked at the wound with vague interest as the bullet pushed itself out and stitched itself shut. There was a whispered 'oh god' that came from Carmine. Talon looked back at him with a slow tilt of his head. Then, he took two more slow, silent steps. 'BANG BANG'. Two steps, two bullets, two wounds that closed. The noise of the gun rang in his ears like a siren on repeat. It was irritating how loud it was. Quiet, he wanted quiet.
"Why -BANG- won't -BANG- you -BANG- die?!"
Each word was punctuated by another shot from the gun. Pity he sound proofed his room, otherwise his men would be crawling all over this place. He may not be what the feds considered a 'super villain', but he was no small-time crook hawking on a corner. He had an empire, men in every corner of this god-forsaken shithole. Carmine shouldn't be so easily accessible, he had top-notch security. This fucking thing should not have gotten in here. Where the hell were all his guards?! He went to radio for help, but faster than his eyes could register, the monster threw a knife and stuck his hand to his desk. No amount of hard reputation could suppress the pained scream that left the mob boss.
Talon watched in vague interest as the man fought to remove the knife while guttural sounds of torment left his throat. Clawed gauntlets rested on the mahogany desk with quiet 'clicks'. He rounded the furniture, dragging the sharp digits across the surface with an unsettling scratching sound. The gouges left in their wake told of just how lethal they were. Carmine paled from terror and blood loss. The more he struggled, the more he lost. Talon invaded his personal space until the mobster was nearly bent backward in an effort to escape his presence.
"What the hell do you want?!"
Rather than answer, Talon slipped impossibly closer until he could feel the sickly hot breath of the man fan across his face. Brilliant, piercing depths stared with unsettling intensity. It almost felt as if he were searching for something as his eyes roamed over each minute feature of Carmine's face before settling back on his eyes. He couldn't handle staring into those soulless pits for longer than a moment before he averted his gaze. If Death ever had a face, it'd be this.
"Carmine Falcone. You tried to take what was mine."
The boss in question racked his brain for any time he ever crossed paths with this...thing before. Even if he had, he would have kept a million damn miles away and definitely wouldn't have tried to knock him. There's bad decisions, then there's goddamn suicidal decisions, and robbing the fuckin' reaper was the latter. His throat felt tight and dry as he went to talk. Pain coursed through every cell in his body from the knife still stuck through his hand.
"What are you talkin' about?! I never tried ta rob you of anything! Never seen your face in my life, I swear!"
Talon didn't respond, didn't budge from the way he hovered like a carrion over a corpse. Carmine stuttered over his bargain. He dealt with all sorts of devils everyday. Everyone had a price, even monsters like this.
"Listen - listen, if I knocked over somethin' of yours, it wasn't to my knowledge. I'll pay you for any damages or loss. Then, we can go our separate ways. I'll leave your stuff alone. How's that sound? We got a deal?"
Still, nothing but silence and staring. It was driving the man mad. Each breath made the wound in his hand throb as it moved around the sleek throwing knife. Finally, the yellow-eyed demon stepped back quietly. It's voracious gaze never wavered.
"You tried to take my bird, Carmine. My Little Wing."
That...okay so this creature was insane, that's great. How do you bargain with crazy? It's why Carmine stuck to the old-fashioned ways and mostly kept out of the way of those costumes.
"Wha-"
"Call him, Carmine. Call Roberts."
Shit, Roberts. He still never reported in. Turning over that new punk should have been easy. How did this thing know about that plan? His phone was being pressed into his free hand. When did that creature grab that from his pocket? The Roman was shaking hard enough from pain and fear, he nearly dropped the phone. It was difficult to piece together cohesive thoughts beyond the intense throbbing of his wound. He dialed the burner Roberts carried and listened to the endless ringing with growing dread. Then, a voice answered, but not the one he wanted to hear.
"Ah, Carmine! I was wondering when you would wisen up and call. Gotta say, I'm not too impressed with the trade. I'm thinking we should...renegotiate the terms of our contract. What do you say?"
It was The Arkham Knight. This night was just getting better and better, wasn't it? So this nutter in the black worked with Knight? Was he the guy's attack...demon or whatever? He sent this thing after Carmine? The gangster's voice shook as bad as his body and did absolutely nothing to hide the situation he was in.
"A-absolutely, Knight. Sorry for this...miscommunication. Now, would you kindly call off your pet?"
Instead of an immediate response, there was a hush of uncomfortable silence. Then, The Arkham Knight spoke, and the tone in his synthesized voice was none too reassuring.
"What pet?"
Before the mobster could answer, Talon grabbed the phone and crushed it as if it were made of paper. All the while, he stared at Carmine as if he were one second away from devouring the criminal. Carmine stared back at the thing in horror. Knight had no fucking idea who this was. He didn't have this thing on a leash. It was a freelance nutjob, which meant his chances just got dimmer.
"You tried to kill him. My Little Wing. He is mine. No one touches what is mine."
Fuck the knife in his hand, he's about to just try and sprint away. There was a possessive tone in Talon's voice that made it sound as if Knight were merely a toy, a thing that belonged to this creature. Shit, was Knight just the front? This was the one behind it all?
"No no no, you got it all wrong. I never intended on killing Knight. Just...just knockin' some heads. Not his!"
Talon shook his head slowly. That blank expression never so much as twitched since he turned around from the railing. It was more than unnatural, it was fucking unholy. The eyes are what really screamed of his intentions.
"You wanted to cheat him. I think he deserves a gift, don't you?"
At this point, the head of the Falcone crime family would be willing to put on a goddamn tutu and recite the Nutcracker for this whackjob if it meant Carmine would get out of this and never see those horrifying yellow eyes again.
"Name it and it's done."
Then, for the first time since he appeared, Talon smiled. It was just the smallest curl at the corner of bloodless lips, almost unnoticeable, but by god did it drop the room ten degrees and drive the air from the gangster's lungs. The last thing Carmine remembered was shrieking as the knife was torn from his hand and then nothing but black.
The Arkham Knight paced the warehouse floor with growing agitation. His men kept a safe distance - was any distance truly safe from his guns? - in fear. Ever since Knight came back from chasing that assassin, he was on edge. It was like nothing they'd ever seen before. Then, the phone rang and their boss went to work. However, that just made everything worse. They could see it in the way his posture stiffened and the way he went quiet. He'd always been good with words. No one knew who was beneath the mask, but he sounded smart, the way he could recite those boring old books and used words above their paygrade. But this call left him in silence until -
"What pet?"
Whatever he heard wasn't what he wanted to hear, judging by the way he stared at the phone then launched it at the wall with more force than any of them could replicate. It hit the wall with a thundering crack and shattered into pieces. He sure was packing some hard muscles under that high tech armor. That's when the pacing began. It's been at least fifteen minutes and he was still going at it. Sometimes it sounded like he was talking to himself, but none of them were brave enough, or dumb enough, to get any closer to really find out.
He stopped suddenly and pointed at one of his lieutenants, a stocky man who only ever went by 'Razor'. One guy told him it was a dumb name and Razor stabbed him twelve times. No one commented on the name since.
"You, I want any and all information on that assassin you can gather. Sightings, names, victims, hideouts, his favorite pizza topping for all I care. Anything you can find - NOW."
Razor snapped a crisp salute and a 'yessir' before running out the door. Lucky bastard. Well, he did have to try and study an assassin who got through their security, security meant to keep out the goddamn Batman, and killed a shitton of armored men like it was nothing. On second thought...maybe they could pool their money and order him a nice floral arrangement for his funeral.
The Arkham Knight resumed his furious pacing with renewed vigor. Another unlucky soldier by the name of Greg had the duty of asking Knight what to do about the dozen or so bodies piled in the corner. They were starting to stink due to bowel release and they really didn't want to be caught by Batman because of that. Greg, however, would rather get eaten by Croc at this point than interrupt...whatever it is his boss is doing. His friend, Bax, elbowed him, which hurt because Bax was built like...well...like a really well-built guy with lots of muscles. Greg was getting paid for his aim, not his poetic abilities, okay?
He stepped forward just a bit, which felt way too much like walking down death row for his liking. Even that little shuffle forward was caught by his boss. That eerie, high-tech helmet swung in his direction and Greg suddenly re-evaluated everything he's ever done in his life. Was it just him, or was it really hot in here? He was sweating worse than his dad at a confessional. Just as he opened his mouth to stutter out the question, someone burst into the warehouse. As Knight's full attention was drawn to the intrusion, Greg thanked every deity he could think of, which was about three but whatever. It was the thought that counted.
It turns out that the interruption was another of Knight's men who looked like he saw a ghost.
"Boss, there's...there's a gift out here for you. It's uh...I'm..I'm not sure. We didn't want to open it without telling you, but it's big. And leaking."
A big, leaking present in the middle of the night in Gotham was never a good thing. There were a whole number of people it could be from, and all of them a nightmare. The Arkham Knight rushed out the door to see what was left for him. He had a distinct feeling about the contents and the one who sent it. The thought of being right made his skin crawl. This assassin was far too invested in Knight for his liking. He almost wanted to scream.
As he entered the unassuming shipping yard, he immediately noticed the out of place object. It looked like whoever sent it grabbed the first box they found and used it. It was just big enough to hold a grown body, which Jason would bet is what he's about to see inside. Still, he scanned the outside for any possible surprises. Nothing. Just an ordinary box. An ordinary box that was starting to pool at the bottom. Right.
With clear caution, he went to open it. The few soldiers around him stood at the ready. One never could be too careful in this fucked up city. He half expected an explosion when he pulled back the flaps, but again, there was nothing. As he did expect, however, was one body inside. Carmine Falcone's, to be exact. And he wasn't quite dead yet, just severely injured. Either the assassin wasn't thorough enough, which Jason sincerely doubted, or this was some seriously fucked up way of trying to gain his friendship. His stomach rolled.
Jason considered leaving Carmine right there in the box outside, but decided against it. First, he wanted to kill this fuck himself for what he tried to do. He also wanted to question him on who did this, just to confirm his suspicions. So, he grabbed the collar of the mobster's suit and lifted him up. There was a chorus of 'jesus christ's and 'holy shit's from those around him. Falcone wasn't quite as injured as he originally appeared. It was just blood smeared across his face and clothes from the now-bandaged hand. Jason's stalker kept him from bleeding out. How nice. Falcone's head lolled to the side, clearly unconscious.
Fury and something too close to fear raced through Jason's veins. He carried the man inside and dropped him unceremoniously onto the floor. Now, to wait. He stood over Carmine, waiting for him to stir and realize just how royally he fucked up. In another two minutes, the unwitting captive shifted and groaned. He spit out a curse when he tried to sit up using his injured hand. Then, he looked around as he realized he was not in his office at the club. Carmine looked at the looming figure of The Arkham Knight, who was much more intimidating from this angle.
"Fuck."
Jason mentally agreed that 'fuck' was about the most accurate descriptor for this current situation. Instead of voicing that, he unfolded his arms and took a pistol from his holster. Dread filled the sicilian man. This is most definitely not how things were supposed to play out. Oh, how the tables turned.
"Mornin' Carmine. We're going to have a chat and you're going to answer everything or you're gonna have a few more holes in your body to match the one in your hand, got it?"
The mobster didn't answer immediately. Instead, he looked around frantically. There was no sign of hungry yellow eyes or cold gray skin. No bronze claws. No soft voice. A feeling of ease spread through him, which was odd given his current position, but he was just a bit happy to be away from the one who did this to him. He looked back at Knight with a smirk.
"Yeah, sure. So long as you keep that demon away, I'll sing fuckin' Pavarotti for you."
"What demon?"
At the question, Carmine looked somewhere between mildly bewildered and affronted. That thing stabbed him through the goddamn hand for Knight, and the asshole didn't even know who he was talking about?
"Whattaya mean 'what demon'? The one who did this to me! Sure was talkin' an awful lot about you."
There was a bit more snark in Falcone's voice than Jason liked. He'd have to do something about that. Jason crouched down to get face to face with the mobster. The muzzle of his gun was pressed snugly to his captive's temple, letting Carmine know just how close to the line he was. There was still an indignant look on the criminal's face as he was clearly not used to being the one manhandled. However, he was at least smart enough to know when to listen.
"What did this demon look like?"
Carmine didn't want to think back on that ungodly face, but the magnum against his head was rather convincing. When he got out of this (when, not if), he would need to look into a better security detail. He closed his eyes to conjure a better memory of the creature.
"It had a tight black suit, kinda like it hangs around a bdsm club. Wore gloves with claws. Knives strapped all over the place. Looked like a fuckin' corpse. Gray skin, these...creepy yellow eyes and black veins. Looked like a person, but that ain't no person, believe me."
The suit and gloves sounded familiar, the knives were definitely familiar, but Jason never got to see his face. The description sounded like something he really did not want to be stalking him. A somewhat thoughtful look took over Carmine's face while Jason mentally reviewed what he heard.
"Kinda familiar, now that I think about it. What's that pretty boy's name? Wore black and blue? Nice ass but a real chatterbox?"
Jason was momentarily taken aback by that. He was describing Dick, there's no doubt about that. But that couldn't be right. Dick didn't look like some sort of demon and he most assuredly didn't kill. He was brought out of his feverish thoughts as one of the nearby guards piped up.
"Nightwing?"
Carmine snapped his fingers, as if struck by an epiphany.
"Yeah, that's the one. Add a mask and regular skin, he'd look just like him, 'specially from behind if ya know what I mean."
Jason momentarily saw red at the derogatory tone Carmine took. Sure, he held no love for his 'brother' since his escape, but that didn't change the fact that he hated others acting like creeps. To accentuate that point, he twisted the other man's injured hand. Falcone let out a pained cry.
"Focus, Carmine. What did he say?"
"FUCK! I was talkin' damn it!"
There was anger mixed with the pain. He wasn't the most docile of prisoners, that was for certain. At the sound of the gun cocking, he bit back any scathing retorts building up on his tongue. The pain in his hand made him want to pass out. If it kept this lunatic from doing that again, he'd play nice. For now, that is. There'd be hell to pay when he was free, though.
"Alright, alright! Fuck, he...he said somethin' 'bout me tryin' to take what was his. His b-bird or some crazy shit like that. Somethin' about a wing. A little wing! Said I tried to take his little wing. That n-no one can touch what's his. I think he was talkin' about you. Got a real crazy look in his eyes. Real possessive."
The room seemed to close in on Jason like a casket. This didn't make any sense to him. Little Wing. That was what Dick called him. Everything Carmine was saying pointed to Dick, but that...that wasn't fucking possible. That assassin...Maybe an imposter? Trying to get under his skin or something? It had to be that. Still, the rational part of him, the detective Bruce was raising, told him not to dismiss the possibility. To investigate, just to be sure. He suddenly had more on his mind than the desire for revenge against this fuck. He motioned for one of his militia to grab the injured gangster.
"Put him in the holding cell and make sure he stays there. I have something to check out."
He was already on the way out of the warehouse as he spoke. This was weighing too heavily on his mind to wait. Carmine let out an affronted cry as he was all but dragged away. What, did he think Knight was going to release him just because he talked? The asshole betrayed him. He'll be lucky if he gets a shot to the head.
As Jason made his way to one of his higher tech bases, that feeling crawled across his skin again. The feeling of being watched. He was here, right now. He might have heard that entire exchange. Jason looked around but didn't see anyone. There was that tightness in his throat and chest again. Whoever this was, and he refused to say it was Dick, made him feel like he was being hunted. It made him feel like he was back there. The desire to run was rising steadily. No matter where or how fast he went, that feeling was there. It was always there. If...if this really was Dick, then what the fuck happened to him? Jason needed to find out.
There were only a few places he knew of that could tell him what he wanted to know. The Cave's computer and that person's base. Jason didn't feel ready to try to hit the cave. Not yet. There were too many risks. That's what he told himself. How the hell was he supposed to find the base of someone if he couldn't even see them while they were fucking ten feet away?
Suddenly, he was hit with a thought. Maybe he was going about this the wrong way. He was trying to think from some random assassin's perspective. Maybe he needed to think from Dick's perspective. Where would Dick make a hideout if he went nuts and started killing people? Jason looked over the city critically. Well, he always liked being as high as possible. It's not much of a lead in a city full of sky scrappers, but it's something. He's probably somewhere abandoned if he really looked like Carmine said. Tall and abandoned, still not much of a lead. He'd have to go over his layout of Gotham again.
His steps were hurried as the trapped feeling intensified. The fight or flight response was absolutely screaming at this point. Jason swore no one would make him feel like this again, yet here he was, practically running from a shadow. It was absolutely maddening. There was an almost queasy feeling in his gut as the anxiety in him rose. This had to end. Jason refused to let whoever this was have this sort of power over him. Never again. He pushed into a condemned complex. The few squatters inside ran at the sight of the armored man.
Jason stopped and waited in an empty room. Sure enough, that feeling returned. He ground his teeth together.
"I know you're there, so come out."
Nothing. Not so much as a creak of the floorboards. He clenched his fists in anger and in an effort to hide the way they shook.
"I got your present. What do you want?"
The shadows remained still. He would have thought he was alone, but that uneasy feeling was so intense, he could practically feel the eyes on him. Then, a soft voice spoke right next to his ear. His heart nearly stopped then and there.
"I want what's mine."
Jason turned ever so slowly. Before he could get a good look at the assassin, arms wrapped around his neck. He fought immediately to breathe. Without hesitation, he stabbed the harpy blade he kept hidden right into the assassin's side. The man didn't so much as flinch, even as Jason twisted the knife. He tried again as he thrashed against the impossibly strong hold. Dark spots danced across his vision. No matter how he fought, the man never budged. It was as if he didn't feel pain. 'No no no not again, please not again.' The thoughts screamed through his head as he fought. Tears pricked the corner of his eyes. The panic attack rushed up on him as the memories became too much. It was too much like then. He couldn't...he...
"Hush, Little Wing."
The quiet voice was just as familiar as the words. It did nothing to ease his frantic struggle. His attempts were hardly coordinated as panic overtook his logic. The black grew and grew until it overtook his vision entirely. His body eventually went limp in Talon's hands. He laid Jason down onto the ground. Then, he yanked the blade out of his collar bone. Talon looked over the knife before tucking it into his belt. The wounds were already healing over. His brother had put up quite the struggle, however sloppy it may have been. Had Talon not been given the serum, he wasn't quite so certain he could have kept his hold on the bigger man.
He knelt down next to the unconscious form of his brother and drug a sharp claw over the thick armor on his chest. It made an unpleasant scratching sound. He carved a single thing onto the chest piece; an 'R'. Then, he picked up Jason and made his way out of the building. Baby brother wanted answers? Maybe Talon would give them. After all, Jason fell just as far from the nest as he did. Besides, Talon had questions of his own. So many questions.

Caretakers of the Emperor
By Sicilian Oravarian
[In 3E 389 the wicked mage, Jagar Tharn, ensnared Uriel Septim VII’s form onto his own and sent the Emperor to Oblivion. While the prison was of Jagar Tharn’s design, it was vulnerable yet to the influence of Princes who dominated the realm. This text documents the meeting of the unholy royalty and their concerns of what to do to their new guest.]
“Give me his asshole.” Molag Bal grabbed one of his servants and sent their head into pieces against his table. “There is much to do with a Septim but a little reminder of the forces he has mingled and barter with is in order first.”
LET’S KILL HIM! It’d be so easy just bash Bash BASH his skull in! COME ON! Just do it!
Mehrunes Dagon was never raised properly and thus didn’t know how to quote his words. Peryite’s many claws rapped against the chair his serpentine form curled around. The chaos and cacophony of these meetings always riled him up and it came to be expected that every few meetings he would explode into insanity much like his kin.
“Order, I say, order!” He chimed. Peryite rested his head as his temper fumed.
“Give me that royal ass! Aren’t you sickened by the violating hands of mortals slithering into our realm and taking our servants? I say we violate them back.” The Prince who said this needs no identification. He turned over to the woman quietly scrying far across the table. “And what are you up to, Azura? You secretive bitch!”
Hermaeus Mora slithered by, his casual negligence of his tentacles and their proximity to bodies giving Molag Bal a much arousing shiver.
“Vivec?” He cried out in desperate want.
Azura burst into laughter.
“Your lover is still struggling to maintain power in his faux temples. Don’t worry, I’m quite certain you and him shall see each other again.”
“I’ll rape you! I’ll rape all of you!”
“Order! Nothing gets done if everyone is just shouting what they want!”
“You’re shouting you want order.” Azura said as her second self spoke whispers upon dying sun rays to her servants far away.
“Yes, but what I want is best for all.” Peryite hissed.
“Azura.” Groaned out Mora. “Perhaps you and I shall discuss Morrowind. I have schedules with a certain part of it, if all works out accordingly. Shall we see if there’s any conflicts….or rather,” His voice dragged into a malevolent growl. “How far you intend to influence it.”
The sudden stink of wet swine and carcass invaded the room and all but Malacath quivered at the intense rancid mist only a Prince of dying animals could marinate and concoct.
“Morrowind, we speak? What business have any of you with it?” Hircine said.
“Far more than a mere hunt.” Mora replied.
“Technically you want Solstheim, idiot.” Azura said. “Keep that filthy isle. It’ll make a great dumping ground for your hogs and dogs. So please tell them to stop defecating on the meeting floor!”
Malacath rose out his seat and slammed his hand against the table.
“Stop oppressing his personality!!”
Sanguine’s mind found its way through the intoxicated fog.
“We should think of how to care for the Emperor. Uriel knows the pleasures of life and beyond, let’s at least be gracious hosts for a while.”
“If it’s sustenance he needs…” Namira gracefully but with quick purpose uncurtained her left breast, revealing a mushroom infested rot lump quivering with the release of new age pus, “…let’s give him a taste. They say in strife a man may find his star.”
Sanguine’s cheeks ballooned with a torrent of vomit, only withdrawn with hesitation and reminders of his drinks the night before.
Throw my lands into CHAOS! THE EMPIRE IS DESTINED TO FALL AS ARE ALL THINGS! I refuse to rest until we usurp the throne and GIVE ME WHAT IS MINE!!
A xivali risked it and whispered into the ear of his lord, reminding him of their meddlings in Nirn and the long term benefits. Suddenly the disappearance of Uriel Septim VII seemed to work just perfectly.
I WITHDRAW MY DEMANDS. PROCEED AS YOU WISH. I AM PLEASED.
The moving flow of stars left Azura’s eyes as she snapped to Dagon.
“What does that mean? What are you scheming?”
NOTHING. STATEMENTS WITHDRAWN FROM I. ONLY APATHY TOWARDS THIS MADNESS.
“Bullshit!” Azura screamed. “You monkey-looking maniac, what are your plans? Give them to me!”
Molag folded his arms and chuckled heartily.
“You plot too? I’ve got my eyes and servants on your vampiric hordes!”
“I’ll have my vampiric hordes on your servants as well.”
“Fucker dick! I’ll have a little surprise for your boyfriend.”
“Taking a male form are we?”
“Now why would I want to make you insecure?”
“God….damn…” Sanguine muttered through his pants. “The banter…”
Meridia hummed to herself as the outline of her form danced through many colors and lights. Peryite had used them to comfort his mind until he realize there was no pattern to them after spending half an hour thinking there was. It only swelled his stress. The maiden of lights just watched as others spoke, keeping note on Mehrunes Dagon and his sudden satisfaction.
Clavicus Vile had spent the whole meeting uttering conflicting information to pin the Princes against each other but none had cared to listen. Despite Sanguine’s invitation to a meeting afterparty, Vile proceeded back to his realm to listen to music and ponder if he had lost his touch.
“Why do you all fret so wearily?” Yawned out Mephala. “Is it not enough the Empire has been deceived by a falsehood, a falsehood that this Jagar Tharn will be unable to keep up? He’s a sneak with no knowledge of how to rule. With patience we shall see the Empire tear itself apart.”
“Death to evil!” Yelled out a paladin as he leapt upon the center of the table. “By the Nine I see all the vileness of all the worlds at conference! You fools! You merely line your heads for an execution!”
“ENOUGH!!!” Peryite shrieked as he slid onto the table, wrapped himself around the paladin and vomited cancerous surges down his throat. The paladin’s body erupted piece by piece into blood plops and infested meats.
“Whoa ho ho! Sick!” Molag Bal laughed as he pulled up to the edge of his seat.
For Sanguine this was hilarious but with the upset caused by Namira’s prior exhibition, it was the last straw. He later stood in a two foot hill of his own upheave.
“Boethiah doesn’t even bother showing up but she sends her pranks!” Peryite shouted. “ORDER I DECLARE! BAGAWK! ORDER!!” He span his head wildly in circles as Meridia slid over to talk to Dagon, as Namira began to produce lewd and putrid juices while darkness overwhelmed her among the vomit - which pile of vomit is up to you - while Nocturnal stood as she did since the beginning and waited for the ramblings and initial madness to exhaust itself to only incredibly irritating levels. She could exert her status and speak truths of the void but that cannot be withered in use. Namira knew of Nocturnal’s presence, which stirred her lewdness in the first place.
“Shut the fuck up!” Azura yelled as she hurled an ebony moon AND a star at the dragon. Peryite’s temporary fray into insanity had already expended itself in the taking of a life so he took the blunt damage as a reminder to maintain himself and returned to his seat. He left the tumor vomit corpse as punishment.
"What takes Nocturnal so long?" asked Azura.
Molag Bal whipped out his menacing rod and smiled as the narrative was now forced to use unpleasant innuendos.
“Yeah, where is she? I wouldn’t mind a threesome with you and her.”
Sheogorather blurred his form as his torso leaned in 45 degrees to the cloaked and despicably fragrant Prince of Nightmares. The blur was to hide or perhaps make notice of his legs remaining strictly upright. Lips popped in and out in a bubble fashion about Vaermina’s head, whispering plots. She took heed of each as she held her sharp chin in thought.
“Tell me your voices on this, Mad Prince. Nightmares for one long stayed in Oblivion will only seem like the anxieties of one in a crime ridden village. Horror awaits in memories of a world far kinder growing more distant away.”
Sheogorath nodded before jerking his neck abruptly and collapsing on the ground. A Sheogorath from within the corpse emerged, ripping through the carcass as if it were paper. The mouths around Vaermina’s head whispered in fear as they beheld the display. The new Sheogorath stepped out of his corpse like a man at last ready to attend the ball. He rolled the corpse into a paper ball and tossed it to the side. The mouths parted, allowing a silent one in the back to fly onto the featureless jaw of the Mad Prince, cracking a growing smile as it glided through the air.
“Old ideas scrapped, Vaermina!” His golden eyes sharpened. “This dream business has a lot more potential than what those deviled eggs over there are cooking up! I say, why torture the man any further? Give him pleasant sanity from these wonderful waters.”
“Help the Emperor? You’ve intrigued me before, I thought you’d be pleased with another Pelagius.”
“Bitch, please.” He chuckled. “Pelagius is more than one Pelagius as far as he and I are concerned. Besides, the Septim’s head is already a festival. The Divines speak to him, what’s another friendly voice? That Tharn lad has given us gold here. In the Septim’s time of need he will find new loyalty in wondrous dreams, loyalty that will carry over once he returns to Mundus.”
Vaermina’s brow jolted to join the wrinkles above.
“You speak of others but what are you concocting, Sheogorath?”
“A new kind of future for Tamriel. I say we proceed with Love, shall we?”

Bandcamp: A selection
Hi,
Today, the 3rd February, over 200 bands and labels have collaborated with Bandcamp to donate to ACLU, the American Civil Liberties Union, alongside the Our First 100 Days compilation, which artists are contributing exclusive tracks. I particularly like Toro y Moi’s contribution.
I can’t exactly add anything about Donald Trump that hasn’t already been said, and this is certainly not a political blog. Trump is a bigot, the people who elected him voted for racism, misogyny, discrimination and the disintegration of human rights. Facets of human character I thought we were striving to eradicate in the last decades.
The point of this post refers to Bandcamp of course, and I’d like to recommend some tracks and albums that you can buy there. Some big names release their work on the platform, including my faves Mac DeMarco and Alvvays. But I want to show you tunes you might not already know. Starting with;
Hoops - La La La
I like off beat, lo-fi music and this would be perfect on cassette. Hoops are from Bloomington, Indiana and this is lifted from Tape #2.
https://hoops.bandcamp.com/track/la-la-la
Movie Brain - Complete Collection
I spent half of 2016 in love with Movie Brain’s Phantom Limbs, and I played several of his tunes on the Sicilian Hungary Podcast. For the small price $1 (at time of publishing 80p), cheaper than chips, you get his whole discography. A self-titled album, three EP’s and three stand-alone singles. I like to call his guitar sound creamy and the album version of Lust is music melting in your ears.
https://moviebrain.bandcamp.com
Vivienne Eastwood - Shook EP
Along the same lines as the last two. This band are from Brooklyn and released this EP in 2016, four years after their previous thing. I’m hoping for more from them this year. If you don’t want the whole EP, do not miss Maybelline and Nons. More of that melting thing I mentioned on the latter.
https://vivienneeastwood.bandcamp.com/
Life on Venus - There Will Be Blood
Not available anywhere else, this is another 4 minutes that is the audible equivalent of the smoothest chocolate you would experience. These guys are Russian, this is on the Distant Lights single, two tracks recorded as demos at home and the Moscow State University. I wouldn’t change a thing about it, the final riff reminds me of Eagulls’ My Life in Rewind, which I called guitar of the year in my Best of 2016 Sicilian Hungary Podcast.

Luxury Elite - With Love
Vaporwave is a genre I can’t get enough of. It’s warpy, electronic, and evokes VHS memories. My VHS tapes used to get so messed up! He has several albums, across different accounts. To pick one album or song is a hard choice, but I think I’ll give you With Love. 14 short pieces that can soundtrack parties, love making and corporate films. Again, at $1, cheap as chips, and if you don’t fancy a whole album, don’t miss Totally Rad and Mall Madness!

One more; Vogel - Hologram II
Another mention of VHS tapes, you might remember having tapes from BBC that had club-like graphics and a loud, bright synth tune. I had it on my Fireman Sam tapes, which I played to the point of destruction! The first 20 seconds of this reminds me exactly of that tune from the tapes. The rest of the song is just as bouncy and bright.

I’ll stop there otherwise this post wouldn’t stop. Bandcamp is huge, I couldn’t imagine how much has been uploaded in the time it’s taken me to write this post. I hope you enjoy the recommendations I’ve given.
More music to come!
