I was just reminded of the existence of Dear Evan Hansen and I think it broke something inside me
#still can’t listen to You Will be Found without sobbing hysterically#and I hate it so much because its such an empty promise#I never finished DEH and I blatantly refuse to#but from the summary I read of Wikipedia.com#I hate it#I hate everything about it#its dehumanising in so many ways#and maybe that was the point#which is why im reiterating that I never finished it#but the way Connor becomes some martyr#and all these people are pretending they cared about him#and Evan pulls off the biggest fucking lie of the century#yet when he’s found out he still has a happy ending?????#bullshit#it destroys me to feel like im both in Evan and Connors shoes#like this musical targets some very specific parts of me#ugh im gonna be angsty and pathetic over this for a while#dear evan hansen
