On her upper arm is an armband with an illustration of a horse galloping in grass. She has leather wrappings on her wrist and opposite upper arm. She wears one visible ring. She wears a leather necklace with a triangular gold pendant and gold triangular earrings. Her hair is in at least three braids, tied off with gold beads. She has bangs. She wears a woven headband of green and blue, with jade stones. Her face is neutral.

Jhiqui also wears Dothraki clothes, although hers do not look practical for riding. Her clothes are primarily fabric of a deep raspberry color. Along the outer side of her trousers is a stripe of leather, fringed at the end, painted with pink and pale purple flowers. On her chest she wears a beaded brooch shaped like a flower, with pink petals and a green “stem”. She wears slippers, in the same material as the rest of her outfit, with a decoration of pink flowers on yellow around the heel. Her vest is laced closed over a green and gold under layer. Her vest is trimmed at the hem with gold discs. Around her middle is a dark leather belt, with a thin belt of gold discs over it. She wears a leather necklace similar to Irri’s, with a circular gold pendant with a garnet stone. Her earrings match this pendant. She wears two rings. Her arm band is gold and garnet. Her hair is worn similarly to Irri’s. She has a bracelet with chips of green jade set in silver on a leather cuff. She has a nose piercing with a gold chain that leads to her earring. I appreciate people adding alt text to images that don't have it by reblogging with a description below the image. that's great. love that you're picking up the slack. but if you are the original poster. and you are uploading an image and adding a description. please put it in the actual alt text of the image. you can put it in the actual alt text and also in a paragraph in the caption if you really want but please attach it to the image itself properly.

and this may not seem like a big deal to you if you can see. I get it. a description is a description. surely it must help people regardless of where it's placed.

and my response to that is how the fuck is someone who can't fucking see supposed to know that your long caption is alt text when they can't fucking see

My very convincing and not all circumstantial list of evidence that the Bugsnax journalist is attracted to Chandlo (It's very circumstantial):

They try to imitate the way he speaks a couple of times, but based on Chandlo's reactions, they just come off as awkward. Journalist: Thanks, Chandlo, you really "slam dunked" my questions. Chandlo: Bro, that's not- just... don't. Chandlo: I gotta be stronger than a Grumpus! I gotta push my limits, ya feel me? Journalist: [Option 1] I feel ya. [Option 2] Word. Chandlo: (looks unhappy) Uh... (squints) I need your help to bulk up. As far as I can remember, Chandlo is the only one they do this to, or even seem particularly awkward around. They also mimic his speech style in a few places in their journal, but it's unclear whether or not they're just quoting things Chandlo said offscreen. Again, they only do this when talking about Chandlo. Do they want him to think they're cool or something? Because it seems to be having the opposite effect.

Assuming the Journalist is meant to have drawn the quest art in-universe, that's an interesting choice of framing. His arm is the focus of the image, to the point it takes up more than half its width. That is a muscular arm with some kind of snout guy attached. I know Chandlo has large arms and is always flexing, but still...

Finally, the descriptions for the interview quests all have variations on "time to ask the [occupation name] questions." For example, they call Wiggle a musician, Floofty a scientist, and Cromdo a salesman. Chandlo, though, gets called a "beefcake". They could have called him a builder, like in his profile, or a carpenter or a basketballer, but they went with beefcake.

misc Gallifrey transcriptions

so a few years ago i started making transcriptions for the Gallifrey audios and i was intending on doing the whole series but i ended up not finishing because joint pain/migraine issues. since i'm unlikely to actually finish (and since i saw a post asking if there are any transcriptions up), i decided to share what i had.

please note that the style conventions i use to transcribe these very much changed so some are written a bit more amateur-ish than others. i'm also sure there are typos because i've done zero proof-reading of these since i last made them i have really shit audio comprehension so there are a few muttered lines that i simply do not know what they are saying. also because this was originally going to be a personal project, i have a bunch of stupid in-jokes in there. from my memory most of them are about commenting on how much i love the sound of the swishy doors in s1-6 and also me pointing out every time one of the writers/directors was voicing a background character by writing their name in instead of a character name.

also MAJOR NOTE for people who haven't listened to the series before – these transcripts CONTAIN SPOILERS for future episodes. this mostly applies to season 1 so hopefully without spoiling anything – i'd very much recommend listening to all of s1 before you look at any of the transcripts.

Major Fic Rec Alert!

I have just read Wishes on Stars by Quietlemonhush and @theresthesnitch and it was the most devastatingly beautiful thing ever.

A 5yr old Remus wishes on a star for a friend so he doesn’t have to be so alone. He wishes on the brightest star in the sky. And the star grants his wish.

This fic is a masterclass in how to write a stunning short(ish) story. It’s less than 20,000 words, but it makes every single one of them count to the point I could barely see for tears when leaving a comment when I got to the end. (Don’t worry all is well at the end-it’s just so happy you can’t help but be a sobbing mess)
