Okay, so you know that thing where you get sick fairly often at a new job because you’re exposed to new viruses? My partner is back to work after two years of unemployment and has been introducing new viruses into our home constantly! I’m just consistently fighting off things or getting sick! And it’s annoying because I am no longer getting sick from The Children at school, but instead, from my loving partner. (I also keep getting my period the same time I’m sick???)

I am not sick yet but I feel it…it’s coming…

Anyway, what are your miracle “I swear this shortens my cold” remedies? Literally tell me anything. I refuse to be sick for more than a couple of days.

I know not everyone is aware of MCAS as a medical condition, but it really grinds my gears when people come onto one of my posts and is like, “I don’t get it, just take iron supplements, it doesn’t need to be a big deal” (I already blocked them for being annoying so don’t go harassing them).

Meanwhile my medically complex ass has my two epi pens at the ready because depending on where the iron supplement manufacturer sourced their vitamin c addition, I might get to enjoy an expensive trip in the wee-woo wagon to the nearest emergency department.

It feels illegal that not all anaemic people are being told this but seriously guys vitamin C will increase your ability to absorb iron and also make it easier on your guts

Take your iron pills with orange juice or whatever vitamin C you can get your hands on it is banger for the nonheme irons that are the majority of what you’ll get from food

Also if you have cranky guts and are eating iron rich foods, apply this hack for less cranky guts
