i will not pay more than 5 dollars for a dvd or vhs truthfully unless im in store buying it new for some special reason or its a special one from ebay or something which is rare because most of my dvds were all less than 3 dollars i got that collection autism but im cheap and will always be cheap !

This is one of the biggest reasons I hate Pacific Rim 2:

First Movie: "Despite our best efforts, despite all we've been through, the hardships, the gruelling training, the Kaiju are slaughtering our best pilots like they're nothing. They're coming out of the Breach every month, they take down a Jaeger every time they do. Unless we do something, the apocalypse will arrive and it will be an angry army of claws and teeth that sees us as vermin to be mercilessly eradicated. All who remain will choke to death in their master's vision for our world."

Pacific Rim 2: "I don't know how, cadets, but somehow you're literally better than any of the experienced pilots we've ever had despite not ever actually fighting any Kaiju until now. I also have no idea how you only sustained a single pilot casualty against the biggest and strongest Kaiju ever fucking recorded that should have rightfully rolled you all up into a tinfoil ball and slam dunked you into Mount Fuji but congrats anyways, especially with the use of the Trolololo song for morale!"

This isn’t for anything; I’m just curious. A little fandom study, if you will Also this could be for doing the whacking or reading the whacking. Makes no difference.

*The Sad Boi Stick can be emotional, physical, or both. It is about whacking a character like a piñata until Feelings come out, especially of the angst variety. It does not preclude the desire to see the character loved and comforted during or after said Sad Boi Stick Situation.

I made a very responsible choice today

I have so many things I need to catch up on and respond to (I have severely neglected my email which is NOT good) so I apologize. I will get around to it this week I hope! 

Old followers will know that this is the norm for me this time of year as I once again rally the strength to try and make the most of my severely neglected little urban hellscape of a yard. I mean, how do you recover from the knowledge that ALL of the native milkweed species you planted over the last 4 years has died, never to return? (I can’t stop being sad about this you have no clue, I had 5+ species native to the state!) All that remains is the common milkweed volunteers that have come up wherever they feel like it, and I’m obligated to let them do as they wish. Feels bad, man. I would have killed to see that purple milkweed flower.

Have spent the last 2+ weeks getting my veggie garden and containers up and running (still need to sow beans and more kale) and I’ve got more natives/ornamentals to go into my nearly cleared side yard. I’m really really REALLY hoping my new virginia bluebells don’t die with this heat/likely drought, but I’m pretty confident everyone else will come through okay. I mean, if the cardinal flower can come back for the 3rd year like a champ, what’s their excuse? (Dear self: be thankful, the cardinal flower likes you and you know it shouldn’t and that’s rad. Also the prairie smoke plant is starting to spread and that’s really cool. So is the hepatica. And your ferns are getting big and beautiful! So remember what’s working out, ok?)

I just want my little plot to be the hopping hot spot for all the local wildlife. It’s nice to see so many critters anywhere I look but I know I can do better and that requires A LOT of work. I’ll never be anything akin to a master gardener, but I like to think I’m learning a lot every day and working WITH nature instead of against it. Battling invasives is one hell of task. (Rot in hell, creeping bellflower!)

Now if only it would rain, and I can find a way to get a rain barrel setup! (No gutters in my back yard to access for rain is a major L...)

Phew! I’m exhausted. Large families with multiple divorces mean lots of Christmas obligations. But I had a great time! And I got lots of great Mario-centric loot: my younger sister got me Mario-themed socks (I’m wearing Mario on one foot and Luigi on the other); my youngest sister got me a beading board based on SMB3; and my mom got me a shirt with Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina on it, as well as Sparks of Hope! And with the money I got, I’m gonna be buying the Switch port of Captain Toad!

I’m a notorious lover of mismatched fuzzy socks, so I’ve also got enough socks to last me the next year or five. I’m overwhelmed; so many socks, and I wanna wear them all, but there’s so many 😂
