Love finding supercorp twitter where the people are just as dumb as I remembered them

I know you won't look at it, but basically it's the same thing about how we can't say it wasn't queerbait because of Dansen. And even adding in a subsequent tweet (post?) that Kelly wasn't even a real character.
Now, I will admit that Kelly wasn't given much beyond being Alex's partner, but that doesn't mean she wasn't important.
And no, maybe Dansen getting married doesn't replace any other rep they could have put on the show, but as we keep saying, SC never so much as held hands, so a bunch of 'parallels' and 'how they looked at each other' aren't going to help your case.
If fully half your case is built on fan interpretation, you already lost the argument.
A few things.
First of all, all the members of the crew always called Kara and Lobotomizer sisters and friends.
When the cast sang a song on SDCC17 about Kara and Lobotomizer being "just friends", and I don't know what CLEARER and bolder message they could have sent, the sc shippers called them homophobic and created a whole hate campaign against them and the show, moaniang about being disrespected and their feelings being hurt.
Then you can find countless posts and twitts celebrating about how Melissa and McG did some "acting choices" (Kara leaned and shit like that) that were against writers and producers wishes. So, they basically say the actresses were baiting them AGAISNT what was planned and that's ok, I guess. But in the same time, they will go against the writers, screaming about baiting what is an interesting case of schizophrenia.
And yes, you can have a lgbt+ ship and still being queerbaited, I guess, but there is a problem in SG.
Because Alex's arc was heavily focused on her realizing she is a lesbian and her journey to accept it and find love. Her story was full developed from season 2 to the final ep, when she married the love of her life and adopted a child.
That was a beautiful and complexed lesbian character's story not some forced, ambiguous, developed only in some people's minds bullshit, that has zero real recognition and is not a representation.
What is worse, Alex and Dansen were completly IGNORED by scs, self-called fighters and supporters of representation is shows, and it was fuckingly obvious after the last ep, where instead of supporting dansen for the GREATER lgbt good, they decided to overshadow it with some fake two white women kiss.
And don't even let me start about what they have done to Dreamer and Nicole along the way.
What i want to say is, that SCS care about representation only when it's the representation THEY want. They don't and never did care even slightly about the rep. Them claiming they were queerbaited is only one of the many forms of manipulation they spread.
The only people who queerbaited them are scs themselves. With their idiotic, out of context scenes (let's just cut out Alex from the frame, let's make it slower and let's ignore it was all about Lobotomizer saving James' ass), so called parallels (Kara holding people bridal style means it's love? cool, it means she is in love with 30 people, Kelly included), some wierd shit (rainbow socks that were not even rainbow and even if Kara was not straight it would not immediatelly mean she would want to be with Lobotomizer -who, friendly remidner, hurt her every way imaginable and was her biggest abuser - facts, not delusion) ignoring what the characters and crew said ("they are sisters and friends") and in the same time accusing actresses of queerbait (acting choices! but it's ok, because it was KMcG doing. And Melissa's) and in the same time bashing Melissa EVERY time she said something against their wishes.
UGH.

i'll ask a q - what do you think it is about kmcg's acting choices that make every single one of her characters queer af?
the short answer: her non canon characters (mostly lena) look at women (kara) the same way her canon characters do
for example:
interest
Tumblr media
yearning
Tumblr media
cockiness
Tumblr media
jealousy
Tumblr media
thirst
Tumblr media
general heart eyes
Tumblr media
and then there’s characters like sarah who it’s mostly wardrobe and vibes and like, normally i frown on stereotyping but… come on…
cuffed jeans and sleeves? the baggy plaid? whatever the fuck that pink shirt fit has going on? the big ass mens watch that stayed on for both sex scenes?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also there’s this totally normal look at a character she’s known 3 hours for a scene who’s camera angle doesn’t even show it

Today morning, I walked up my wife to proudly show her That Photo of KMCG (as if I have any contribution to her face) and figured she'd go "Wow!" Instead she goes "she's not hot" and then resumes putting toothpaste on her toothbrush. And I am left standing there like 🤯😲😱
LOL talk about unexpected! :) She wasn't swayed by the cheekbones, the eyes, the lipstick, the messy bun ... ?
She might be confused and amused at tumblr dot com's collective meltdown over The Photo then ... lmfao obviously as your wife she's a woman of discernment and good taste. We'll forgive this lapse in judgment. ;)

Hey gays!
I decided to celebrate this awareness day with some appreciation for the ladies I’ve had a crush on since early childhood.
Starting with Hunter Tylo, Taylor (Forrester?) from the Bold and the Beautiful that my mom probably still watches religiously. I remember the early 90s Taylor storyline where she died but didn’t and was kept in a dungeon or something? I just remember all the TV Guide articles and how I used to cut pictures of Taylor and kept them hidden under my bed. (I was a weird gay kid, okay...) And yes, I was like 5.
Tumblr media
I think I’ve always known I’m gay but on some level I just thought I saw these women as role models or something before it actually did hit me that liking girls is a thing. I loved Dark Angel, Jessica Alba obviously and that was my gateway to fanfiction too when the show was suddenly cancelled and a whole new world opened up to me when I found people who continued writing the story. Back then there was no fanfiction.net or at least that was not where the fandom was. Good times, tho. I had my first real life crush on a girl who also happened to have long raven hair and the quirkiest smile I’ve yet seen on a person to this day. That didn’t end too well but let’s not get into small town traumas here.
Next celebrity that left an impact on me was Rena Sofer and I still get excited if she’s on a show that I’m watching (she’s been in quite a few...) But the one I remember her from was called “Ed” and it was maybe about a dude who owned a bowling alley or something? (while doing background research for this I found out the actor of Ed is now Dr.Wells/various others in Flash !!!)
Tumblr media
I’m trying to jump to different periods here or this would be a looong list. Next brunette on my list (yes, I have a type...) is Lana Parilla. I watched the first and the second season when it came out, maybe third? but that’s where I stopped for like a decade and now recently finished the series. My sole reason for sticking with this show was the Evil Queen. Hands down, “pls step on me” vibes. I’m not that much into the shipping part of fandom, just worshipping the Queen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And although all the Queen costumes were great, and I’m not sure if this is even a still from OUAT, I prefer the Mayor Regina aesthetic.
AAAAND of course this wouldn’t be complete without my current Katie McGrath simp/stan phase. Can I turn gay again just to say it was because of anything related to kmcg? I love opening my Tumblr every morning (I’m Europe time) to find all the new and old-reposted Katie gifs on my dashboard. I don’t care if I’ve seen the same gif rotate around a dozen times, it always brings a smile to my face to see this baby. One of my fav looks was the Lara Croft braid thing she had going on here. And of course the suits.. just proves women don’t have to show skin to be sexy. At least to other women. Lena/Katie provides for us thirsty gay fans. I don’t care if this is a ruse and a maybe (most likely) queerbait, I just want more Katie McGrath. (Okay I do have issues with the baiting but this is not the place..)
As I was compiling my list and throwing back maany thursdays while thinking about this, I can see the pattern and the type with all these characters (mostly characters). Some honorable mentions here that I left out of the ‘major impact on my life’ list were; Xena/Lucy Lawless, Jennifer Connelly, Eliza Dushku, Shannen Doherty, Eva Green, Zooey Deschanel and Yennefer of Vengerberg (in the W3 video game specifically)
But yes. I am gay.
//edit
I challenge you gays to dig deep and share your origin story.

We will have our endgame.
I didn’t fall for Supercorp at first. And because Lena Luthor (aka KMcG) is incredibly sexy, I just thought that Kara was, like any other woman would be, amazed by the sweet creature she had just met.
I knew Supercorp long before watching Supergirl. In fact, I met the pair through the work of my fellows Supercorp shippers’ art — drawings, fanfictions, edits, videos… (shout out to you all btw I love you!!). Longing for more representation on screen, I jumped in what I thought would be a journey at the end of which Lena and Kara would be together.
I have lost hope before, an endless amount of times, but it never came to the point that I was mad at the show for not putting them together. I prevailed Kara’s happiness before all, and if she didn’t see Lena this way, I respected that. Because I knew they were the evidence, I knew, particularly after season 2 (and 3), that no one new could be introduced and become Kara’s love interest without having her character belittled.
So it was between Mon-El — who was now married and gone — and Lena.
And I was (SO) good with the latter. Because she was the one who always supported Kara Danvers, the one who always admired Supergirl and tried everything she could to make a friend out of the girl of Steel, Lena was the evidence.
She did what every partner supporting its endgame superhero ever did. Felicity Smoak, Iris West, Lois Lane… they all met their respective partners through their secret/human identity. They are all the link to the superheroes’ humanity; they keep them down-to-Earth and remind them who they are behind the mask/costume.
So it didn’t matter who Kara would date, because I was convinced, in the deepest part of my soul, that Lena was her endgame.
And, you know, I didn’t feel bad at the time, because no matter how much hope I had, no matter how convinced I was; as an LGBTQ+ member, I was used not to see my — what they like to call it — “fantasies” come to life on a TV show. So I was kind of detached from it, which is paradoxical. I was so convinced it would happen while being sure it would never. I decided to enjoy my endless list of fanfictions. Those would bring me joy and comfort in the hardest days, but also break my heart with angst and tears. However, I felt validated in every AU.
But this detachment had changed. It changed when the show sent signals that Supercorp could really happen. It was not just a ‘fantasy’ anymore.
Supercorp always felt like a slow burn. We would all hold on to parallels made between Supercorp and Olicity, Supercorp and WestAllen, Supercorp and Clois.
But now we don’t hold on crumbles anymore. It’s not just things that could be interpreted. Not just longing looks, unexplainable lip bitings, court signals, sighs, loving smiles…
Now there are songs, love songs; there are words and scenes that leave no space for misunderstanding.
And that’s why I am mad now; because it can’t be called a fantasy anymore. Producers, showrunners, actors all promised us a Supercorp-centered season; they all promised us a fight for Lena’s soul.
And this is why it hurts. And this is why now more than ever, I feel invalidated. Because for the first time, they acknowledged our rights to a Supercorp love story. And since they acknowledged it, it blatantly means we are being queerbaited.
And yes, we know it.
And yes, they know it.
And yes, it hurts, and a lot of us lost hope and left the ship, but we can’t afford to lose hope right now. Not after all that we’ve been through. Not after fighting tooth and nail with other fandoms who would drag us down for being delusional; not after having our hearts break by a cast mocking us; not after being established as one of the most powerful fandoms out there thanks to our commitment and our conviction towards our belief; because we are finally seen.
We have a place within the most influential fandoms, we are mentioned by papers who write about us, actors who share our arts and support us. It’s not about ‘just some fans’ anymore. It’s beyond us, beyond the producers, beyond the show. And that’s why we can’t lose hope.
Simply because they cannot sit on Supercorp’s potential;
Simply because they cannot ignore their chemistry.
And yes, they don’t deserve our hopes, our time, our trust and our mental health that is more fragile in these times. But I ask you to trust, not them, but ourselves.
We’ve come from being laughed at to being seen, we’ve achieved so much already.
Artists have provided us with the most amazing pieces of art, and we’ve achieved so much as a fandom — the Supercorp zine is an example.
It’s beyond the show, and the showrunners don’t have much power right now, because we have the ability to change things.
So I’m asking you, one more time, to trust our powers.
As a hero once said:
“They want us to be invisible because of their own fears. They want to erase us, so we need to shine even brighter.”
Yes, it hurts to see the showrunners introduce William with a romantic tone. But come on, let’s be honest for a second, they could never be a thing given their inexistent chemistry (no offense Willara shippers). Plus, haven’t we been there with Mon-El? Yes, we have, and we never lost hope, always in respect of Kara’s character, because the Mon-El back then wasn’t respectful enough, just like William hasn’t been, no matter his reasons.
The show can’t go backward. Now that they took a step forward, now that they acknowledged and paved the way for a possible romance between Supercorp, they can’t take it back from us. It may take some time for them to take the leap, but they will.
Remember Clois in Smallville being the slowest burn in history? It didn’t count when they would be together because we all knew they belonged to each other, we all knew that no matter how many people would get between the two, they were each other’s endgame. That’s what Supercorp represents. They are each other’s home, and they will find each other; because now we are the ones who make the rules.
We are the most active fans regarding the show, and we all perfectly know that Supergirl wouldn’t be here without us. We already changed the trajectory of the show when Katie became a regular. For that matter, Emily (Felicity Smoak), who was supposed to only guest star one episode, became a regular after fans expressed their love for her character (and she married the guy!). It was not a miracle, and we will do it again.
We don’t need the show; the show needs us. And they may not seem to understand it for now, but they will eventually. And very soon. Because we finally realized, at a high cost, that we, as a fandom, have infinite worth, and we, as people, are worth more than being treated like this.
But Supergirl is about hope, help, and compassion for all. And if the writers, the producers, the showrunners don’t remember this, we will remind them.
We will hope tirelessly so that our magic never dies, and more people can join the fight for us to become invincible.
We will help them remember what the show stands for, what it means to us, and what makes Lena Kara’s endgame by being loud.
We will have compassion for the ones that are blinded by hatred and try to invalidate us. The same ones who refuse to see the evidence because they cannot move on a ship they had the luck to see happen on screen, the same ones who call us delusional but cannot find the light and understand they are the ones stuck in their fantasy.
If the people who run the show cannot remember this, we will. Because we are the core of the show, and we are dedicated to it, and we don’t forget anything that happens in it (hi plot holes), and we know the characters like the back of our hands. And because we are powerful.
I will never lose hope, and I ask you to believe, as well.
Because this is not about the show anymore, this is about us and everything we are yet to achieve.
I love you with all my heart Supercorp fam.

Excerpt season five episode 13 - last ever episode of Merlin
@ 11 minutes in, Talking about magic, love interests, and undercurrents with Merlin, Gwen, Arthur, and Sir Leon.
KMcG: I had a few moments with Sir Leon, maybe that was just in my mind.
JM: Katie, I don’t think you should go into that.
KMcG: Really? I think you’ve gone into it.
JM: Morgana never has moments with Sir Leon, does she?
KMcG: I said Katie had some moments with Sir Leon. Seriously, we’re two different people, and we all know you never gave me any love interest.
JM: I gave you Morguase.
KMcG: *laughs* He says in all seriousness.
JM: Incestuous lesbianism, what more could you want?
KMcG: You can’t make a show with out lesbianism, in all fairness.
JM: It’s got to be said.
KMcG: Exactly.
And then they go on to talk about the infamous mud wrestling scene they threaten her with between Morgana and Gwen. And if Julian is truely being serious about getting it storyboarded once or twice and Katie worries that there men sitting in a room trying to figure out the most ridiculous scenes they could get past the BBC.
JM: It’s a family show,
KMcG: Not in your head.
JM: Definitely.
KMcG: Ya, ya..

I seriously should stop going on social media and reading the convo fighting over some tv fictional shows 😐 I mean I only want to watch it for entertaining, I shouldn’t let myself got dragged into those emotional dramas online. I won’t join them . Surely. But I also want to keep my head clear and just enjoy the shows. And will stop watching whenever I want to.
Never thought I could grow deep interest in this series. And thanks to Ms. KMcG. I’ll definitely expect her next projects. My new favorite.

I'm not sure what supercraps accomplish by pushing for their ship in the comics. They only pushed for it on the show because they wanted to see the actresses make out so what good does it do them to push for it in a comic unless they think WB is going to ask Mel and KMCG to film it? What a waste of their time and their lives, yes, I know, shocker lol.
So they could moan everywhere they "won"? The moral victory over big bad horrible people aka us. Or something.
The fact they still care....lol

Definitely not saying anyone's hating on kmcg, just wanted to say that there are actors and crew who have no choice sometimes but to take whatever work they get just because that's the reality of life as an artist. I'm not going to watch it either so.
And we all get it. I mean, every person with one working brain cell can tell that being not the A-list actor is a struggle and puts you in an unsteady position. It's a brutal industry.
And again it's about the idiots. When you hear how their fave is so loaded and oh how she doesn't need to work - and then she takes a part in a show with that man? And how she doesn't need to work, but anyone else who doesn't, is an unemployed loser?
It's once again about hypocrisy that irks me like nothing else. If you want to talk about morality, firstly apply it to yourself and your faves. Then shit on the others.

Can confirm the John Wick prequel is filming because one of the actors on it confirmed it on an interview I watched for another fandom. And I'm going to say something else to play devil's advocate which will probably piss off people/set off a firestorm but I have to say it: I don't blame KMCG for working on it and here's why: unless you're an A-lister (Hanks, Cruise, Roberts, Clooney, Streep, etc.), oftentimes actors/crew don't have the luxury of turning down which projects they do. Most actors in Hollywood are not filthy rich movie stars, they're "jobbing" actors just getting by and even ones who work steadily still have to worry about how little money they take home once the dust settles (look up Adelaide Kane's story about how little money she made on her CW show once all her bills were paid). The reality also is that if you're a regular working actor lucky to get work, if you turn down something because someone problematic works on it, you may never work because problematic people in Hollywood are everywhere. Would I do what KMCG is doing? Probably not. But I'm not going to judge her or the other cast/crew who may just be trying to pay rent and put food on their tables and may not have a choice so have to take what jobs they can get or risk not working. Just my .02.
Anon, for the third time.
No one is hating on McG, even if imo working with Mel Gibson, who is not problematic, but a women and babies beater, open homophobe and anti-Semite, is a red flag, sorry not sorry, no matter if you are C class actor or not, but it's about her fanatic STANS, who created some weird ass standards, call everyone jobless if they don't act for a month, and toxic because of bieng "friends with AK and harassing women on set" and then turned blind when their fave doesn't work or work with a real piece of shit. Is it my fault or other people that they have enough of the hypocricy? Probably, don't care.

Scers behaviour speaks for itself. It's essentially fake bullshit, because if they believed in what they say they'd call K out for working with Gibson. It's pick and choose and it's hypocritical and serves no purpose.
It literally has no affect on the real world. But it does show how Chris lives rent free in their heads. Its been a long time since the show ended and they haven't moved on
He's still married, Melissa still loves his, his friends still care about him, he's still working with very important people in the showbis and Almost Famous is about to open.
He has a full, successful life. And fuck them 🤷‍♀️😜
I mean, they didn't call out Lobotomizer, after she tortured Kara, so it was expected that they stay absolutely silent about McG. What, once again, shows that they are hypocrites not only about fiction but real life too. But well, everybody needs a hobby.
Because you know, it's not about cancelling her, hating on her or something like that. It's about simply admitting that she did something not cool, because you know, she is too a human being, and mistakes can be made, but I think you need to be a mature fan/person/whatever.
But i guess, after THEY set some moral standards and threw them at everyone else, it's hard to admit they fucked their own fan fave, huh? Because working side by side with a homophobe, racist and women and children beater doesn't look too good? Also, isn't she now JOBLESS in their own dumb standards?
The fact it and all what they have done is going to forever kick their asses, makes me sooooooo happy.
Anyway, condolenes to KMcG whose own make her look.... bad.

Something else: if at all craps latch onto KMCG's new show, I suspect they're going to be sorely disappointed. I looked at the cast list for the show on IMDB and given it's a John Wick spinoff/prequel/whatever, it seems like most of the cast is male. If at all she'll be playing a love interest for any character, I wager 99.9% it will be for one of the male characters and so no, they're not getting any ship they'll want to be happening. You heard it here first.
Because I'm petty as seven hells, I hope her character has a steamy sex scene with you know who :)))))

SCs just don't get it.
Ryan's been on the job for over a year.
Lena's never been in costume, so while she knows some, she had no practical experience in a suit.
And bottom line, it's a white woman telling a black woman what to do. Thereby giving the white woman something to do. While sidelining a black lesbian couple in favor of a white fave from another show.
It's problematic as fuck.
i have not read the issue, I just saw some pages and posts of people who read it and complained - Batwoman fans, not the fake folks who came only for sc and Lobotomizer.
I think another problem is, correct me if I'm wrong, but the main authors are white? Especially that woman who is on twitter (Natalie Abrams?) and gushed about Lobotomizer since the beginning.
I mean... there was a lot of fuss about Ryan and how she replaced Kate, it would be nice if it was fully focused on her and her team, I think? Like? Obviously? Since this comic book is called BATWOMAN not Batwoman and Lena Luthor?
And as you said, Lena Luthor is a white privileged bitch, who:
1. created a device that could identify people (aliens, i know, but we can say people from minority) without their consent
2. lobotomized and ENSLAVED TWO man of color against their will and threathened to force one of them to kill himself (Russel, Andrea's boyfriend) and experimented on them both, one again, against their will,
3. planned to lobotomized entire world because of her butthurt
4. NEVER PAID FOR HER ACTIONS OR MET ANY CONSEQUENCES
And as you said, this bitch, is a black main character saviour...? Uhm?
Also, from what I saw, of course supercorp and Lena stans started their usual shit
It looks how once again they say it's ok for a main character being sidelined when it's for LENA, while they have been screaming about screentime and "sidelining Kara for males and female characters" when the show was airing.
Look how once again they dismiss batwoman fans, saying they should be thankful for SUPERCORPS supporting their stuff, like they are saviours and thanks to them the world of other shows and fandoms is still circling. Like.. take a sit...
And once again. They are NOT SUPPORTING representation.
1.They hated on every POC actor whose character was romantically involved with Lena or Kara (aka two white women, who are NOT canonically part of lgbt). They sent death threats to Mehcad Brooks and shit to Staz Nair, who admitted he was depressed and strugled with mental health. Rahul Kohli called them "fan hooligans" and he was in ONE EP and his chaarcter, that was involved with Lena, DIED in the end. Thye admitted more that once how happy they were that they scarried the actors out of social media.
2.They boycotted Nia Nal's ep that was centered about transexuality, because a male character played by a POC, informed Kara about some issues
3.They completly overshadowed the final ep and the fact an interracial lebsian couple had a wedding with their bulshit fake supercorp kiss and in other times, using dansen just to shit on the show and demand sc canon.
4.Don't let me start how they treat Azie and Nicole, asking them to "show Katie sc fanarts" even when Azie was talking about BLM on her insta. And she called them out.
5.They admitted they were stalking actresses to get closer to KMcG and Azie had to move from one apartment to another becasue of some some crazy stans - scs themselves talked about it.
All they support is what they want and what they want is two white women in relationship and they are going to do any bullshit to get it.
So what can i say? I simply hope Batwoman fandom is going to be free of them and their toxicity, because they still are the cancer of the Supergirl fandom and the show - sorry not sorry.
(Not sure if i should tag it as #batwoman, if i should not, just tell me, I'm going to untag it.)

Shit like this is why I think they're clinical sociopaths because only sociopaths would take something as horrific as Melissa's story of REAL abuse as nothing but another arsenal to use to advocate their fake ship. Imagine being so sick and depraved to think watching and reading what she went through, "how can I spin and use this to advocate for a [fucking FAKE femslash fantasy]?" These people are truly conscience-less and have no souls and they really do need to be locked up.
They did more. Thye moan how for sure she was devasted to act as Kara with Mon-El because for sure it brought horrible memories of abuse (while she said the scenes where her fave and she loved acting with him). They accuse Chris of knowing exactly what AK has done and doing noting about it, while it was said the actors were not aware (how could they? They were in Van, while AK stayed in LA and harassed his assitants). They also claimed KMcG was harrassed by him, what is one big bullshit and shows exactly how they care about the real victims. They also claimed Mon-El was an input of AK and is idea to make him misogynistic and a harasser while Mon-El NEVER was.
Recently they are trying to use Mel's story to make her look like some codependent brainwashed doll, that has no idea what true love is and went rom one abusive relationship to another what is absolutely disgusting, but this are Supercorp shipper for you.
And yeah, the saddest shit is that they do it because of their fictional ship that is not going to happen, no matter how much disgusting shit they will try to spread.
