As someone with mild food allergies I personally don't mind this, because some people are bizarre levels of offended about other people disliking certain foods but where does everyone else lay on this (non) issue?

I am terribly disappointed to say that I am now allergic to carrots. I've eaten so many of them in my life. Now, at the age of 46, they are spicy and they make my throat itch. This is devastating news. Our wedding cake was a carrot cake.

no nuts, corn, or carrots though :) + usually I can use alternatives for soy so no need to worry about that

My allergy to jalepeños is now in the danger zone. I unexpectedly ingested a bite of something containing one, and on top of my usual allergy meds, I urgently took 2 zyrtec and a claritin, used my prescription allergy spray, and had to use my rescue inhaler. If i'd waited any longer to take those, I think it'd have been epipen territory.
