I would probably have posted it sooner, only it has about a million branching paths because I couldn’t decide what was funniest.

okay, idk how serious you were abt the AMA bit but i do actually have some questions, these aren't like, specifically directed at you (tho ofc i'd love your answers, you can dm them to me or w/e you prefer!), these are more just sort of general "how do other ppl use tumblr" questions that i have. anyone else who sees this (regardless of how long you've been on tumblr/how many followers you have) is also welcome to respond!!

my questions:

how many blogs do you follow?

do you have a vague idea of how many mutuals you have?

how often do you gain followers? is it consistent, was there a sudden burst bc of a post or smth and then nothing?

how often do you interact w other blogs? replying/reblogging and responding to prev's tags/sending asks/messages etc

do you know where your followers came from? like are they all/mostly from a specific fandom/community, are they bc of a popular post of yours, are they just completely random, what?

how many posts have you made?

do you have an idea of the proportion of reblogs to original posts? i know there's the site that tells you but i'm too lazy to look it up right now so a general idea is fine (like, almost never make original posts, almost never reblog, about equal, whatever)

may or may not come up w more questions later lol at this rate i should prolly just make a google form or smth, i really am fascinated by how other ppl use the site/their experience w it

tbh thank you for your post abt "he's in love [beat] with humanity" bc some days i really feel like i am the one and only person living in the berenstain universe except it's the scripts for 9.22 & 9.23, the fact we got that one-two punch and then everyone spent the next 6 years pretending cas wasn't already textually in love with dean sends me through the absolute roof and i want to kick dabb and carver in the shins until they both apologize to me personally

i’ve kind of felt like this ever since “you must have me confused with the other angel, you know, the one in the dirty trench coat who’s in love with you?” because on any normal, sane show that isn’t supernatural, having multiple characters repeatedly state that one of the main characters is in love with one of the other main characters would be taken as an indication that, you know, that main character is in love with that other main character! but unfortunately this is supernatural so not only did people continue to act like cas wasn’t in love with dean after both of those episodes, they’re still acting like it even though cas himself said that he was in love with dean! it truly boggles the mind how much homophobia can warp people’s perceptions of what’s explicitly in the text of the show. i know this is such a tired argument but no one would ever act like this about a straight couple

Favorite Colors: So @why-bless-your-heart told me once that her grandfather couldn’t choose a favorite color and when people asked him he’d say green. So I say green. 

Last Song I Listened To: Whispering Bells - The Del-Vikings. Man, they’re so good. 

Favorite Musicians: I could really go off here. I love The Beatles, The Who and the Rolling Stones. They Might Be Giants, Oingo Boingo, Cults, Grouplove, Foster the People. I’ve definitely left out one or two hundred important ones. Stop putting me on the spot!

Favorite Song: You people just have a favorite song? I have an old habit of linking to Violens - Spectator and Pupil when I’m asked. 

Last Film I Watched: Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. 

Last TV Show I Watched: Seinfeld. I have to recommend it to the public as an ideal pandemic cooldown watch. It’s a good three decades removed from the current atmosphere. It’s a show about nothing happening in a context where “nothing” continues to include casual handshakes, casual air travel and casually knocking down your friend’s door to pay him a totally unsolicited visit, but at its most essential it’s still about being stuck in close quarters with a bunch of people who are equally frustrated but making you laugh the entire time. 

Favorite OC: Can’t say, they’ll all start fighting. 

Pets: None currently. 

Sweet, Spicy, or Savory: This is absolutely a case-by-case thing, right? In this case: sweet. 

Sparkling Water, Tea, or Coffee: Again, case-by-case. Right now I would like coffee.

I’ve never interacted much with cousin Jenny, but I’ve always found it worthwhile to listen to what she has to say on any given subject. She knows a lot I don’t -- about Homestuck, about Catholicism, and about MCR, to name the first few things that come to mind -- and they’re out there living all of it in the open, discussing, debating, offering further insight on these and other topics. It’s very bold and unapologetic of her, which I admire, and their comments and reblogs alike are usually very insightful. (And when they talk about something I do have a framework for, it’s just as interesting, because then I get to consider things from a perspective that’s frequently quite different and I find that very valuable.)

She’s a good egg!
