No for me (autism + adhd) my fav trope is when a character starts getting consumed by *the darkness within* (ex Naruto with 9-tails, Jon from TMA with the Eye powers, Sonic X with Dark Sonic or Werehog Sonic, etc) and goes apeshit, all wile losing parts of themself to it.

The lesson always ends up being that you are better and more powerful than your darkest thoughts but I tend to ignore that part.

Like yeah go off I’m sure this grime and dirt has been building in your soul, let it out the only way you know how even if it’s not what people expect you to be. Fuck yeah do it for me because I can’t.

(girl with adhd voice) yeah i just love in fiction when a character has a superpower thats also a disability. like a power that changes how they interact with the world in exciting ways but also has terrible drawbacks to their daily life. no real reason why
