ava had always loved to write and sketch, whenever she was alone. she tried to reconnect to her old connections in the past. sketching her ex. it hurt. she didn't expect it to. when a tear fell down from her cheek and on the paper, she placed the pen on the sketch book. wiped away the tears as best as she could ❝ i am not sad ❞ she said, as soon as she saw another person close by ❝ it's memories that makes me sad, happy memories of people i used to know and never will see again ❞

avalyn thought the library would help her find the reason why she was alive again. she barely had slept since returning. all she could think of was the day her oldest brother went insane. she did not recognize him ❝ i uh ❞ she looked down on the floor. didn't know what to answer because she had not read the books. heard of them, but never have had time to read other books than grimoires ❝ i have not read either of them. why not start with one of them first? and when you have finished it you can read the other. i have no idea who these characters are ❞

adjusting to washington was taking much longer than nini would like to admit — she hated being in active crisis, more accustomed to helping others than asking for help herself. that's why she was ignoring it altogether. a little delusion didn't hurt anyone, right? she was currently at the library, hoping to find a book that would further help distract her from the reality of her situation. "... do you think the chronicles of narnia or the lord of the rings would be a better avenue of escapism? i always did have a crush on legolas, but i could say the same about caspian, too," she mused aloud when she spotted someone in her peripheral. "normally i only really read plays... or non-fiction books about plays."
