According to African scholars, his name must have come from "Nganga Nzambi" an expression meaning "God's priest" in Kikongo, language spoken in the Kongo empire.
Ganga Zumba is remembered by historians as the hero and freedom fighter who was central to the history and modern-day struggle of the Brazilian Black Movement, having led an alliance of “independent settlements” called Quilombo dos Palmares.
An area located between the states of Alagoas and Pernambuco, in northeastern Brazil, Quilombo dos Palmares was founded by runway Brazilian African captives in the late 16th century as resistance to European colonizers and enslavers.
The area became one of the first places, in the Americas, where Black captives found freedom. For almost a hundred years, Black people in Quilombo fought against their oppressors, particularly the Portuguese who at that time attempted to colonize Brazil.
Zumba, as king of Quilombo in the 1670s, led these attacks against the oppressors, and despite repeated threats from the colonial authorities, Quilombo thrived as fugitive captive set up a collective economy based upon subsistence agriculture, trade, and communal land ownership, according to accounts. And all these were largely thanks to the leadership and intelligence of Zumba.

Compensation isnt new ... compensation for the enslaved is... Reposted from @odunifehistory Follow @odunifehistory to support this page. Do you see a pattern here? In 1825, Haiti paid the sum of $21 Billion USD to France in order to maintain its independence and as compensation for the loss of enslaved Africans This was done because the French ruler Charles X had demanded that Haiti pay an "independence debt" of 150m Gold Francs. At the time, the amount was unimaginable for such a young nation and was at least 10 times its annual revenue. In the end, Haiti held to ransom, paid 90million Gold Francs, (about 21 Billion USD) in today's money thus enriching France and impoverishing itself. in 1833, after slavery was abolished in Britain, the British government pledged £20 million taken as a loan to compensate enslavers of enslaved Africans for their “loss” This money went exclusively to the enslavers with nary a thought for the enslaved who received absolutely nothing as compensation for generations and generations of toil, trauma and trouble. This loan took British taxpayers 182 years to pay off and was only completed in 2015! In fact if you are a taxpayer in the UK reading this, there is a great likelihood that your tax funds might have been used to service this "loan” In 1862, America paid compensation to enslavers of up to $300 for the loss of each enslaved Africans. The enslaved Africans received nothing by way of compensation or reparation. In 2020, after years of strict sanctions by the West, Zimbabwe is obliged to pay $3.5 billion as compensation to descendants of white farmers who colonized them and violently stole their lands. To add salt to this wound, Zimbabwe does not currently have the funds and will have to borrow, thereby keeping the country perpetually indebted and economically crippled What a way to hold a nation ransom Do you see a pattern here? What patterns do you see? #Repost @mister_imhotep 💎💎💎💎 When I say "blood" and "blood samples" think "genes" I tried to oversimplify it, but it's a mistake. In other words people can look like black Africans but not belong to the same haplogroup than the current black Africans. But this does not change anything about the fact that they are black people. The Olmecs and other first populations of America possessed what scientists call "tropical features" in other words, they looked like people who live in tropical environments, like black Africans. And when people live in those types of environments, their features can't change unless there is a foreign admixture. Because features are linked to the ENVIRONMENT. And since ancient Egyptians also lived inside Africa, they could only LOOK like Africans. Never forget that racism is a matter of phenotype not genotype. Which means that people are not discriminated because of their genes, because we don't SEE genes. But because of their phenotype, their EXTERNAL APPEARANCE. Racism is based on that. And in this fact must reinforce our understanding of the blackness of the Kemetic people, who if they lived in our modern world, would be discriminated like most people of color. This must help us understand the similarities and diversity in most people on this planet. Racism is scientifically retarded. It is based on fake beliefs. . .#imhotepfacts . . .🚨🚨 ATTENTION PLEASE 🚨🚨 Please subscribe by using the link in BIO . 1. Subscribe to the VIP FAMILY (LINK IN BIO - mrimhotep.org/registration/) . 2. By contrast, continental Europe's oldest writing, Greek, which is derived from an older African script Proto-Sinaitic, was not fully in use until c. 1400 BC. The oldest Asian writing, Proto-cuneiform, dates to around 3,000 BC South Africa for the win 🇿🇦 Most discoveries made in South Africa have been hidden because it goes against mainstream narratives. It proves that Africans started all these things independently. That's why it is very important for them to connect every major African invention to the "Middle East". To fear your ancestors is to fear yourself. It is an expression of self-hatred, giving you and everyone around you permission to treat you, your culture and descendants as disposable. Tell me, could YOU be love? And could you be loved? Self-love is a really complicated story for us folks who identify as Black African. It lies beneath layers of racist indoctrination. Personally, I do not waste much or any energy getting mad about the indoctrination. I prefer to tap into the wealth of ancestral legacy and firmly root my self-concept in that archive of stories. You? . . . Posted @withregram • @odunifehistory Follow @odunifehistory I’ve always wondered about this. Surely I’m not the only one?👀 …And, the ones who have taught us to fear our ancestors have their own ancestors (even the evil ones) commemorated, honored, remembered by way of huge statues and monuments in their cities, town-halls, streets, and high places. What a conundrum 🤔😢 . . . . . . . . . #africanhistory #imhotepfacts #panafrican #odunife #Africa #african #jamesbaldwin #africatotheworld #chakabars #blackhistorians #blackpeoplemagic #blackhistory365 #proudtobeblack #africanunity #unapologeticallyafrican #carribeanpeople #abenafrica #afrocentric #africanculture #melaninmagic #africanempowerment #africanartefacts #west2westmovement #chinuaachebe #narrativesmatter #blackouttuesday #performativeactivism #africanhistory #afrocentric #indigenous #libation https://www.instagram.com/p/CaNf41kBPPe/?utm_medium=tumblr

#Repost @mister_imhotep • • • • • • In the 6th-century ce, the Achaemenids were conquering the world. They were taking over Greece and had their eyes on Kemet. The Kemetyu then allowed the Greeks to come into Kemet as soldiers. In exchange, the Greeks would be allowed to send some of their brightest youth to study under the Black masters of the Kemetic universities. This was the initial door in which the Greeks entered Kemet. - The resistance to the Achaemenids did not stop, even after the Achaemenids took control of Kemet. Rebels continued. In a desperate attempt, in 340 bc the Kemetyu admitted even greater numbers of Greek soldiers to come into Kemet and help fight off the powerful Achaemenids. The Greeks did just that, not only for Kemet but allied with the various conquered tribes of West Asia to fight the Achaemenid. - Because the Greeks idolized Kemet, the Kemetyu lost sight of the bigger picture. But it was too late. After all the nations were united by the Greek rebels to fight the Achaemenids, the Greeks simply replaced themselves in control. Because these nations (including Kemet) had opened their military forts and even university-temples to the Greeks, it was impossible to expel them. The Greeks won much the ancient world thru entering the back door with an invitation to ally against the Achaemenids, not thru some powerful Alexander conqueror. The Greeks entered Kemet as invited guest students and hired barbarian mercenaries. It was in this way that Kemet, the host, was conquered by its own guests. - - . @afrika.is.kemet . . . 🚨 ATTENTION PLEASE 🚨 . 1. Follow @myafricaniconsbook . 2. The Ausar man is considered the fully developed or perfect man. Here perfection means to be complete. Only when you have means of identifying all the parts making up Man, such as the Tree of Life, can you accurately speak of perfection. In the Ausar Man, all spheres are fully awakened and developed.
The Ab man is an individual whom the faculties of the 10th to 7th spheres are fully developed, and those of the 6th to the 4th merely awakened or fully developed. The dormancy of the higher spheres distinguish them from the Ausar Men. The influence of the 4th to 6th spheres determine their character.
The Sahu man corresponds to the level of spiritual growth in which only the faculties from the 10th up to the 7th have been developed, and in some, the lower third of the 6th sphere has also been awakened. His general behavior is the product of the shortcomings of these faculties plus the absence of the input from the higher ones. Most people in the world are at this level of spiritual evolution.
Spheres
0-1: ORIGINAL AND ESSENTIAL STATE OF BEING
2-3: CREATIVE FACULTIES (words of power and spiritual power)
4,5 & 6: THE HIGHER MENTAL FACULTIES WHICH REGULATE the mental utilitarian (logical and artistic spheres 7,8), and action (emotional and physical energies sphere 10) faculties.
7,8,9: THE LOWER MENTAL UTILITARIAN FACULTIES (logical and artistic functions) through which a living is made in the world.
10: PHYSICAL FACULTIES OF ACTION. The emotions, physical energies and the physical body.

One of the greatest secrets revealed in Classical Afrika was the science of sleep. It was explained in the Amduat, an ancient text which means "That Which is in the Subconscious." They understood that the subconscious was the source of one's habits and NOT the conscience. - Sleep is the time when your consciousness is put aside so that your subconscious can be programmed by the emotional images that you dwelt on that day. Your conscious ideas have very minor influence on your subconscious. The subconscious is primarily directed by emotionally charged images. - Unfortunately, this means most people get their programming from television and other strong images produced by your aspiring enslaver. - Your dreams are simply the process of the programming of the subconscious taking place. The reason so many people today have wild dreams is because they have not taken any measures to direct the programming. Instead, they allow themselves to indulge in all sorts of emotionally charged images (usually provided by Eurocentric or Asiancentric media) that are usually designed to enslave your subconscious. - By purposely absorbing African-affirming emotional images, you will program your subconscious with the necessary divine self-image needed for success. This divine self-image of the subconscious is Ausar/Obatala, which is why Egyptologists mistranslate the Lord of the Subconscious as the Lord of the Underworld. The underworld is simply the subconscious. Rulership over your subconscious is essential for rulership over self. This begins with the Auset/Yemoja sleep programming to restore the godself Ausar. Sleep well. ©Khonsu Nok 🔥 Follow @myafricaniconsbook 4. Repost from @mister_imhotep using @RepostRegramApp - Don't ask me how I ended up reading this, because I don't even know how it happened lol. But it ended up being a great discovery. This excerpt is from the comic book Black Panther 2018, Issue 5. The story is from Ta-Nehisi Coates. I read it, and I have to say that I was not expecting something so powerful. The story is so deep. It touched me because it is related to Africans life experience today. The story of a people whose identity, past, and story have been stolen by the empire. They stole all their memory, stored it somewhere. And now they are using it against the people. And here you can see T'challa, the true king of Wakanda who also lost his memory (so, he ignores that he is the true king) talking about the importance of the past, of the memory, of their history. I still remember when we started this project, Imhotep, many people, usually non-African people, told us that the past does not matter. That we have to move forward... To forget about all that past, it is useless. That's some BS! Yes, I said it! It is another trick, a trap used to prevent us from healing. This world is upside down. We don't follow the laws of nature. The bad things are promoted and the right things are forbidden. And this type of behavior is not sustainable. It is like going against the flow of a river. At some point, you will get tired and the river will win. It's better to use the river's flow with us, than against us. And that's why it is important to heal by learning about ourselves. Find self-love and start building our future. You will never know what kind of fruit you can bear if you ignore what type of tree you are. And the only way to know which tree you originally were before all the hybridizations that occurred, you must go back to the roots. That's the only way to know. And by knowing that, you will be able to do the right thing, apply the right process, pick the right environment in order to find balance in your life and be effective. That knowledge is necessary. Don't settle. Keep digging! And don't let them fool you! . .#imhotepfacts . . .🎓@mister_imhotep . . #blackconsciousness #blackexcellence #blackhistorymon https://www.instagram.com/p/B0YkgC3hQPeRehWHPGlUVAN1bZiqRBuNuNKjiQ0/?igshid=11xweixj3znnr

Africans must remember who they really are. Alchemy is defined as a magical process of transformation, CREATION. For some it is the transmutation of base metal into gold or the research of a universal elixir.
Those who were considered alchemists were the people who possessed the most advanced knowledge. The origin of the word is strongly tied to Black Africans but many people tried later to give the credit to Arabs.
The truth is that alchemy came from al-kimiya which means the science of KEMET. Kimiya came from Keme or Chemia, chemi from Kmt meaning Black in the Kemetic civilization.
The whole world knew that the masters of science, those who understood the universe were the Black people of Africa. There is even a decree of Diocletian, written about 300 AD in greek that speaks against the ancient writings of Kemet that treated about khemia, the transmutation of gold and silver.
We can see that by definition science was related to Blackness and to Africa. Africa was seen as a land of greatness, of power and especially KNOWLEDGE. Nothing to do with what we are seing told today.
The time is now to go back to our true selves. YOU are the root of SCIENCE and KNOWLEDGE by definition. Knowledge is the key!
Know thyself.
