Devil May Cry 4 is actually just a child going through strange and stressful situations while child's, unknown, uncle comes through and makes situations even more weirder.

Nero, being a good boy, coming to church on a Sunday for his girlfriend, gets bored at church (relatable), sees Jesus Dante busting through the church and sLAUGHTER people, witness his girlfriend get kidnapped several times, multiple emotional breakdowns, a potty mouth for days, and is just confused anytime Dante is near him.

Meanwhile Dante is like: "People worshipping my father again? Y'know what time it is." Proceeds to get rid of the hidden demons, watches his bestie go undercover (with a completely different skin tone or...just a heavy tan??? I have no clue), schedules his daily monsterfuc—, makes several sexual innuendos because you gotta know how he is behind the bedroom, may or may not have been high as hell, and is just here for a good time (but also a bad time in the future...coughs DMC 5 coughs).
