I’m looking for 3 English-speaking voice actors for my animated short film.

No previous experience is required, and anyone is welcome to apply! Auditions will be reviewed starting November 10th, 2024!

The cast is composed of queer POC, and as such queer voices of color will be prioritized!

As it stands currently, voice roles will be unpaid. I wish I could compensate everyone for their time, but as a college student juggling two capstones I simply do not have the funds :(

The project centers around Morgan, the crown prince of Maddock, who is turning 23. Morgan would rather be anywhere other than his birthday party. When his mysterious friend Ava appears, Morgan and his knight Lancelot follow her lead in hopes the night will change for the better!

You knew shouldn’t have gone to the dance. After Slater welcomed herself back into the picture, you felt any chances at had with Jeff gone. He was forever to remain your best friend. Nothing more. You loved your friends, you really did, but with Jeff everything was easier. Sure, when the group first joined together, he was hitting on you, a lot, but soon all the flirtations subsided, and Britta got the most of his attempts. You were the one getting the friend side of the man. The side that always bickered with him over the dumbest things, holding grudges until he brought you your favorite food. You were the one he was always drunk dialing, something you loved to use to joke at him and an event that occurred just as often on your store. That was when you realized you liked Jeff more than you should’ve, and you lost the opportunity to tell him.

The dance was crowded as you walked in wearing dress and a pair of heels you hardly ever wore and searched around for your friends. Pierce was playing the piano as you looked past him, seeing the rest of your friends crowded around a table, looking like the life was drained out of them. You chuckled to yourself, your heels clicking across the cafeteria floor as you walked over. Shirley saw you first, waving her hand in the air at you. You shot her a smile as the rest of your friends turned around.

“Wow Y/N. You clean up nicely.” Troy said as you grinned at him. While his compliment was nice, he wasn’t the one you wanted attention from. You tried to hide the fact you looked at Jeff out of the corner of your eye. You could’ve sworn you saw him slack-jawed looking at you, but you couldn’t confirm your suspicions before Annie came running into the room.

“Guys!” she called out, getting you to turn and look at her. “Vaughn got recruited to a college in Delaware. I’m gonna go with him for the summer.” She smiled at you all.

“Classic last-day-of-school plot twist.” Abed said before Annie went on, telling you of Vaughn’s desires to become a famous hackie-sacker. You couldn’t ignore the fact you were happy for her, she had the guts to get with a guy she liked. You should’ve asked for her advice.

“Y/N? Can you help me get refreshments?” She turned to you and suddenly her brows were drawn together.

“Uh, yeah of course.” You said as she grabbed your wrist and pulled you along. You spared a glance back to Shirley, Troy, Abed, and Jeff. The first three were engaging in their own conversations while Jeff was watching you get hauled off, raising his brow at you. You just shrugged, stopping when you got to the refreshment table. “What’s going on Annie, you’re acting weird.”

“I’m not just going to Delaware for the summer.” She blurted out.

You cocked your head at her. “You’re not?” She shook her head.

“I’m transferring with Vaughn.” Your jaw dropped open as you looked at her. After Jeff, she was the one you were the closest too. “Please don’t tell anyone until I’m gone.”

“You’re leaving? I can’t- but we- you’re leaving?!” She grabbed your hands, giving you a smile.

“Y/N, I want to live in the moment! Pierce makes me happy.”

You sighed, trying to hide the way your face wanted to frown. She was right, she had been happier. You pulled her in for a hug, chuckling in her ear. “I hope it’s a catastrophe.” You whispered into her ear as she giggled, and you pulled away.

“Well, I know what you give me as a going away present!” She seemed cheerful and you knew right away this wasn’t going to be good. You narrowed your eyes at her, but she just turned you around. Without even trying, your eyes found Jeff leaning on the table. “Tell Jeff how you feel.”

Your cheeks heated up as you ducked your head. “Annie, I can’t.”

“Come on Y/N. I see the way you look at him! Don’t deny it.” You weren’t denying it, but you weren’t admitting it. Annie saw your reluctance, and put her hands on your shoulder, giving you a shake. “I just want you to be happy like I am.” You knew she meant well, but telling Jeff the truth just wasn’t in the cards for you.

“So, tell me what you and Vaughn are going to do.” Annie’s spirits lifted as she went on, telling you even more about Vaughn and hacky-sack until Vaughn himself showed up and stole Annie away for the moment. You were alright with it until you turned around, seeing both Slater and Britta fanning over Jeff. It wasn’t a sight you expected to see as you tried to walk away but couldn’t manage to take that step. You didn’t know what came over you but once Jeff caught sight of you, you finally unfroze, seeing Troy walk past you with a giant cookie, munching away.

“What is that?” you asked him, seeing him register you were there.

“Giant cookie.” You were going to say more but decided against it, letting him walk away as you snickered, shaking your head. You tried to ignore Jeff for the night, and it mostly worked, even through saying goodbye to Annie. Soon it was time for the nominees to be named and you stood with Shirley, listening to Dean Pelton blabber on. You were honestly starting to get bored but once Britta’s name was called you perked up, remembering your friend was a nominee. But once Britta walked on stage, you furrowed your brows.

She grabbed the microphone from Pelton. “This is a huge honor.” Her words seemed to be pointed towards Slater, only managing to make yourself feel worse. Pelton took the microphone from her and ruined her victory speech, telling her he was just naming the girl nominated. You felt bad for her as Pelton carried on.

But then Britta grabbed the microphone again.

She was looking out into the crowd. “Jeff Winger, do not get back with Slater.” You ignored the feeling in your stomach as you followed, listening to her words. You figured out she was looking at Jeff not far from you. “I love you.”

You knew you gasped, hoping the action went unnoticed as everyone fell silent. It was unnerving, sitting there with Jeff just not replying to her. He wasn’t denying her… why was that the only hope you had? Jeff had started towards her to talk and you watched absolutely terrified.

That’s when Slater joined, and you knew any chance you truly had was gone at Slater’s words. “I love you.”

Why couldn’t you breathe?

Why, despite how much you wanted, you couldn’t manage to take that breath.

“Y/N? Are you okay?” You could hear Shirley call your name, but it was faint, almost as if she wasn’t saying a thing. “Y/N?”

You didn’t say anything as you took off, not hearing two distinct voices call after you.

You were outside before you realized, finally able to catch your breath. You were dumb. You were stupid and blind not to be able to see any of the signs! How could you not see the signs you and Jeff would never be! You were-

“Y/N?” Your eyes widened as you spun around on your heels, watch a jogging Jeff come to a stop.

“Jeff?” You tried to hide the crack in your voice as you cleared your throat. “What are you doing out here?”

“You ran off.”

You didn’t think he noticed being caught up in the two beautiful women professing their love for him inside. You needed an excuse. “I had to take a call.”

“You had to take a call?” Jeff didn’t believe you, obviously. In fact, the moment he heard Shirley call out your name amongst the chaos in his brain, his eyes shot to you, hoping you’d make his decision for him. In all honesty, you did. One look at you running out of a dance and he felt like he was in high school again.

“What are you doing out here Jeff.” You played with the fabric of your dress, avoiding looking up at him. “I think Britta and Michele are waiting for you back inside.” You knew you were practically pushing him away, but you couldn’t help it. You struggled to come to terms with your feelings, feeling it was too high school-y for college, but Britta and Slater were able to do it.

“You ran out.” He repeated, a small smirk on his face when you looked up to him, feeling your heart stop as he came closer to you. “I choose you Y/N.”

You didn’t hear… he didn’t say… wait, what?

“What about Britta?” You hadn’t known what you were doing. He said he chose you. Why are you denying it?! “Or Slater? I thought-“

“I choose you.” He cut you off. His hand reached out, grabbing you by the waist and pulling you against him. Your lips parted in surprise as you gasped and looking into his eyes. Your eyes closed slowly as Jeff leaned in, his lips hitting yours briefly before pulling back. Your eyes were still closed, terrified you imagined it before you finally opened to see the cocky look on Jeff’s face. The expression however softened at one look into your E/C eyes. Your lips were magnets as they reconnected, and you were drunk off the feeling.

You were kissing Jeff.

Jeff kissed you.

You when you separated this time you didn’t wait to look at him, feeling his thumb come up to caress your cheek gently. “I’ll always choose you.”

A/N: Did I mean for this to happen? Not one bit. Thank you @faith-quake​ for getting me addicted to Community. I started watching it yesterday and now im in the middle of season 2, then this came to be last night when I was talking to her. So here you go! Faith how’d I do?😂 Also forgive me if people seem OoC, I’m still learning characters and haven't gotten far into the series.

Is your character popular in the fandom? YES / NO. [ he is a very, very minor NPC that i’ve essentially wrested from the game with my grubby hands; Gerson is a merchant NPC found in Waterfall, the third area of the game focused with water themes. he has less than 100 lines of dialogue (but jam-packed full of info) and doesn’t even have an overworld sprite. although noted to have a history with multiple major characters, it’s not often i’ve seen him be the main focus of any fanfics or art pieces. ]

Is your character considered hot™ in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK. [ put that faaaaaaaar away from me please tyty ]

Is your character considered strong in the fandom?  YES / NO / IDK. [ i personally believe that Gerson is a strong and potentially powerful monster with fighting capability that could rival some of the stronger Monsters in the Underground due to his background as a fighter during the Human-Monster War, but since has waned in both reputation and fighting skill. we never fight him in game and as such, will never see how he compares numerically, but it’s clear from his dialogue that he knows how to fight professionally/cleverly and would have given a hard challenge. ]

Are they underrated?  YES / NO / IDK. [ i mentioned before that Gerson has ties with lots of major characters - I hardly see it being put into action or talked about! i also have a soft spot for elder/older characters in general since they seem to be overlooked in favor for younger characters that carry the action of plots - which I understand and totally get, but I still like to put these characters out there for the sake of it ]

Were they relevant for the main story?  YES / NO.

Were they relevant for the main character? YES / NO / THEY’RE THE PROTAG. [ he was a funny merchant dude that said “wahaha” a whole bunch of times and carried a magnifying glass; sure he and Frisk would have been good friends after the golden ending but most people have forgotten about their interaction with Gerson once out of Waterfall ]

Are they widely known in their world? YES / NO. [ as one of the older if not oldest Monsters in the Underground, or from his reputation as the “Hammer of Justice” from wartime. he is also a historian and is noted to have written a few of the books in the Librarby. definitely known in the Underground, but probably only in that community ]

How’s their reputation?  GOOD / BAD / NEUTRAL. [ as mentioned before, a benefactor to the community and maybe even a sagely figure. a source of wisdom (even if cheeky) and a person of stability ]

How strictly do you follow canon?  — ehhhhhhhhhh both extremely canon compliant and then hands off the wheel, let jesus drive me away~ i only have so much canon material to work with so i have milked as much as offered to me, then went off to forge my own path in order to patch up the missing holes then add a few sprinkles. the base of the character is all there, but if you really want to get invested with him (or me) then we have a lot to walk through.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.  —  old tortoise (NOT TURTLE) guy sells knick-knacks and cracks jokes, knows everyone’s dirty secrets but thinks they’re just funny to think about them than use them. an elder in the community who has stories to tell and lessons to teach, who has lived through half of recorded history and now spends his time just trying to make things around him interesting. a war veteran who protects his community and understands the horror of the world, but keeps eyes looking into the future even in the face of grimness itself. plays the accordion and harmonica, could probably square dance if he knew what that was. will call you kiddo.

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  —  little to no motivation to find a passion for himself that would benefit or service just himself; his entire sense of worth comes from servicing others in some way (being a soldier and protecting people; recording history in order to teach future generations; maintaining a shop in order to literally service others) and lack of action due to decrepitude in old age. close-minded compared to other Monsters, as he doesn’t actually take to think of humans or outsiders kindly; judgmental to the point of being racist. proud and dislikes being one-upped that it could lead to pettiness, and despite his positive outlooks, very pessimistic worldview.

What inspired you to rp your muse?  —  funfact: Gerson is my first tumblr RP muse ever, and since i was worried about duplicate anxiety when i first started i specifically wrote him since he was a smaller character with less attention - i’ve since learned i have no anxiety about it so it’s no longer a problem, but what keeps me going today is the challenge of writing someone so different from me. the elder aesthetic along with homely, almost cottagecore kind of vibe is also appealing, and the humor that comes with gerson is a joy to write out.

What keeps your inspiration going?  —  reading literature, music, artwork, pinterest, replaying the game, and doing little hobbies that would embody the character (collecting or sewing, for example) are things i can do by myself, but with other people i have the most drive when i can have friendly and nonpersonal arguments/debates about character motives or about source material like what made a character act like this or that, or about really anything as long as it makes me seriously think about characters critically and force me to recognize flaws.

Do you think you give your character justice?  YES / NO / I SINCERELY HOPE I DO? [ unfortunately i’m not a tortoise monster who lived for probably centuries if not decades older than myself, but i enjoy writing older characters and hope that other ppl see the potential gerson has like i do ]

Do you frequently write headcanons?  YES / NO / SORT OF? [ you know when you have a concept and in your own mind you can see it clearly, without fuzziness or confusion, but you can’t seem to put it clearly into words without it turning into an essay because you need to connect all the other points that’s in the single concept you envisioned? yea. ]

Do you sometimes write drabbles?  YES / NO [ bro i should.. ]

Do you think a lot about your Muse during the day? YES / NO [ hmu if you got pinterest and i’ll give u tons and tons of boards ]

Are you confident in your portrayal?  YES / NO / SORT OF? [ this is unfair to answer as (AFAIK) i am the only person writing Gerson in... any capacity. despite that i like to think i bring out the humorous side of him, and show ppl that he and other NPCs are tons of potentials and shouldn’t be overlooked because they aren’t popular ]

Are you confident in your writing?  YES / NO. [ i always believed my style and my skill in not only PSDs or aesthetics, but analysis or understanding was always a bit plain, without much flourish or complexity. while that is appealing on its own and has its own merits, i can’t help but feel i can always push myself to do a little more, add a little flavor, or paint an image that could only be done in writing. although i am doing enough to get the job done, i’m searching for a certain voice of writing that i like and want to integrate into creative writing in order to make it more personalized and more engaging. ]

Are you a sensitive person?  YES / NO. / SORTA. [ i despise pussyfooting and will often tell ppl straight up if i have a problem with them or something about them; straightforwardness, honesty, and integrity are some of my core values and that includes being harsh if it comes to it in order to keep order ]

Do you accept criticism well about your portrayal?  —  assuming it’s rooted in goodwill or from a point of analysis, absolutely! it’s one of the direct sources for growth and getting better at any craft, but as Tumblr loves to be.... jumpy, i’m always cautious when its not from someone i know.

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character?  —  YEA BUDDYYYYY

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?  —  absolutely, i thrive off friendly discourse as i mentioned.

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?  —  if we don’t discuss it as above, in lit any other case i’d say “well there are other blogs to follow” but since i’m like 99% sure i’m the only gerson blog that isn’t applicable lmao; the point still stands that everyone has the freedom to write a character as they wish. there are valid reasons to dislike a portayal but not a lot of valid reasons to attack someone for it - with the exception of ppl being gross. stop that, nasty.

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  —  strangely. it’s not my job to make people like a character, you either like them or not. if you dislike them for unreasonable points then, to leave in the previous response, “clowns will be clowns, no matter what you do. I just don’t get why you would follow someone if you hate their character to begin with.”

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  —  of course, as long as it’s polite and all that jazz!

Do you think you are easy going as a mun?   —  depends on the meaning - i like making new friends and i find it easy to talk to new people, be it about roleplay or other things like organizing video game play sessions. however, i also have on multiple occasions have approached ppl privately saying “this is annoying/this is problematic/this is inappropriate, stop” and been met with general disdain for voicing such so Who Knows..... (tm). at least on a private level. here, publicly, i’m pretty relaxed! memes and jokes are abound. as long as a person can be mature and responsible for their actions we can vibe, yo.

How strictly do you follow canon? 

With Crystal being an OC, I strictly try to be as close to Canon as possible as I have to carefully add her into everything without being too involved. I even revised her Bio to include extra details pertaining to the Anime. Though, I would consider seeing her as a side character more than a big part of the main story, but she does get much involved with Ichigo’s/Soul Societies Adventures~ However, feed back about her backstory if it’s close to canon is always appreciated, or any feedback in general!

Crystal has unique facial features, especially her E Y E S!! I can’t recall if any other Shinigami have Silver Hues, but I think that’s one of Crystal’s best features! You never see her Zanpakuto unless you happen to fighting along side her considering she hides it away inside her actual B O D Y! She can be charming when she wants to be, and big softy once you get close to her!

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).  

Pfffttt, okay...umm... She definitely has a biased opinions on Humans since she passed away in her Human Death. For a Shinigami, one has to be able to somewhat tolerate the Human World, but Crystal refuses to even find something good in Humans since her death. She’s quite content with being alone, and no use for Friendships hardly so it makes it hard for her comrades to trust her. Crystal will try every attempt to isolate herself from others, but wouldn’t mind going out drinking with them either. With hardly any experience on what Friendship is, it’ll take awhile for her to open up to the ideal that she does H A V E friends. 

What inspired you to rp your muse?

Wow, um... I am not 100% sure to be honest! I just got really interested in Bleach a long time ago, and it just happened to be the time I was exploring writing. My usernames in chat rooms, or even social media would be: Shadowcrystal. I think that’s how I got her name, and just then all of her details were coming to me; that’s how she was made!

What keeps your inspiration going?  

Not going to lie, it is always hard for me to get interactions with Crystal since I’ve started on Tumblr many years ago, this is my third account for Crystal tbh. OC’s are so hard to get interactions with Canon, or even other OC’s. It’s never stopped me from trying to get interactions (because I understand the people’s right to be selective & private), but since I have re-made Crystal’s account, I have gotten more kind, and loving feedback about her. I love hearing you guys comment on my OC, telling me that you guys love her back story, and even my portrayal of her. It always makes my day, and makes me want to be better for you!!

Absolutely!! As long as it’s not trying to diminish my OC, and not try to plainly tell me I should stop writing her. I appreciate feedback, or criticism on my OC, but nothing too hateful; or over the top. A simple I love your OC, or any questions that you guys have to help better understand her is always good!!

Do you like questions, which help you explore your character? 

YES!! I love character development questions! This just doesn’t apply to Crystal, but now to any of my muses. MY ASK BOX IS ALWAYS OPEN, flood it with personal, embarrassing, sad, or anything about my Muses questions!! I love answering questions you guys may have, so please don’t be shy!

If someone disagrees to a headcanon of yours, do you want to know why?

Of course!! I am not picky at all when it comes to my OC, or my Canon Muses. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you C A L M L Y come talk to me about it; I am more than willing to adjust it, or involve your said Muse into it!

If someone disagrees with your portrayal, how would you take it?

This one is tricky cause I am generally a nice person, but if I feel like it was sent out to be rude, or hateful instead of stating your opinion; I will not tolerate it. I do not mind people coming to me to give me pointers/writing references to better my writing, but telling me to straight up give up my muse, there are better portrayals, and deactivate is not appreciated!

If someone really hates your character, how do you take it?  

In all honestly, I am surprised I haven’t gotten any thing like that, but it would defiantly drop my mood, and I would delete the message. With that mood drop, I would probably make a vague message, and just disappear for the rest of day until I’m ready to return.

Are you okay with people pointing out your grammatical errors?  

YES!! English is my first language, and sometimes I think faster than I type. If I ever mess anything up, come to me in IM, and I’ll fix my error.

Do you think you are easy going as a mun? 

I believe that I am, but some people would say that they don’t know hoe to approach me. I can assure you guys I am a smol bean, and I give lots of loves!!

To say that things got better would be a complete fucking lie.

In the remainder of his shitty summer vacation, Virgil only really left his bed to use the bathroom or eat when the hunger became unbearable. He slept a majority of the time, turning his back on the sunlight shining through his blinds in a mocking reminder that just because his world was falling apart, that didn’t mean the real world was. He was numb. And when he wasn’t numb he was heartbroken, or angry. He had no one to talk to about it because Logan wasn’t the most empathetic person out there and Roman still had him blocked.

Roman.

Virgil couldn’t stop asking himself what he’d done wrong. How had he screwed this up? He thought they were doing great, he thought Roman loved him. What was he talking about in that last message?

He wished he could just ask.

When he felt up to it, he brought up Tumblr on his phone to scroll through it and distract his mind. That became rather hard when half the posts were about people venting their problems and talking about how depressed they were, though. He remembered back when he was new to Tumblr and had just followed all of these blogs, how happy and dumb and funny everyone was. Now they all just logged on to use Tumblr as a personal diary.

He deleted his blog the next day.

Eventually he has to force himself out of bed to go to his fall classes. No matter how low he’s feeling or how much he hates himself he’s always been a good student, and it wouldn’t stop just because he was alonealonealone a little depressed. His classes gave him plenty to focus on to distract himself, making his mind numb, empty of free thought and only capable of answering homework questions or performing basic tasks like showering and eating.

Logan still messaged him at least once a week to ask how he was doing, if he wanted to hang out, or just to make sure Virgil was still alive. Virgil hardly ever responded, and when he did it was short one- or two-word answers. He didn’t want to talk to Logan. He didn’t want to talk about what happened and how he was doing and how his thoughts were cognitive distortions. He knew Logan meant well, but he just… He didn’t think he could deal with that right now, so he was all but avoiding the other, claiming to be swamped with school.

It wasn’t a total lie; this was his last semester before fieldwork, so he’d needed to shove as many classes into these sixteen weeks as possible. Eighteen units, the absolute max they would allow, and even though that usually meant homework all day every day, he still found himself with some free time. God, he was so bored.

So he made a new Tumblr.

He felt bad abandoning the friends he’d made on his old Tumblr, but he wasn’t interested in the same things anymore and they were all so depressed and…. He just. Didn’t need that.

He spent an obsessively-long time trying to think of a new URL. For some reason, he found himself cycling through the nicknames Roman had given him over the months.

doom-and-gloom? Nope, taken.

dark-stormy-knight? Nah. Damn.

surley-temple? Taken.

jack-smellington? Taken.

God dammit.

Virgil groaned, rubbing his forehead tiredly. Without thinking too much of it - it was probably taken - he types in ‘dr-gloom’.

He grins for the first time in weeks as he finishes going through the mandatory bullshit to set up his blog and find people to follow. Sure, he looks up some of the people he used to follow and follows them on this new blog, but he doesn’t tell them who he is.

This is a new beginning, after all.

He’s already decided that this blog will be more positive. He’ll be the positivity he wanted when he was hurting. It’s… out of character for him, but that doesn’t mean it can’t become a part of him. By being others’ positivity, he can be his own too.

As he finds more people to follow and his dash is filled with posts, something inside him - a gut instinct he’s learned not to ignore - tells him to message people. Not everyone; specific URLs stick out to him and he can’t help but feel like maybe the universe is telling him who needs his help. It’s stupid, and maybe a little egotistical, but after he sends the messages he feels…. Good. He sends good morning and good night messages to ten strangers-turned-family every day, regardless of how he feels inside, and little by little he finds that he’s not as depressed as he used to be. His daily ritual actually picks up his mood as he reads the responses from people and talks to them through PMs.

He does this for nearly two months before someone randomly messages him one day. The URL reads ‘pattoncakes94’, the icon most likely a selfie of possibly the cutest, bubbliest person Virgil has ever seen.

He takes entirely too long trying to come up with something to say that doesn’t sound too cheery, hyper, or creepy.

The next few hours go like this, with the two men chatting about anything and everything. Virgil didn’t even know how two people could talk this long without the conversation feeling strained or boring. He hated small talk, but for some reason he found himself enjoying talking to Patton. The conversation flows seamlessly, Patton filling any possible pauses or lulls with his own little anecdotes or questions.

Over the next few weeks, whenever he’s in a bad mind space Virgil messages Patton. Patton never asks what’s bothering him or pressures him into opening up. Instead, he willingly provides a distraction and chats with Virgil until he’s laughing in the comfort of his room, heart light and mind clear. His favorite conversations were the ones that were the most random, but led to Virgil learning something new.

It’s all fun and games until you go outside and see a mountain of snow waiting for you to be shovelled. But there are some good aspects to winter, like skating and skiing and all that fun stuff. thank you @livvyplaysfinalfantasy, who kept my love for the game alive in 2011/2012 when you started documenting your XII playthrough, and have remained my internet pal ever since. i enjoyed your presence in my streams and your constant source of lore. it’s weird to think how long we’ve followed each other! lol

i wish i could describe the joy i felt on the first night i played the remake. it was really monumental to me. there aren’t a lot of Things i look forward to and it was so refreshing to have that excitement. i’m not a particularly giddy person but i fell asleep that night after 5 hours (y’all really stuck around for five hours and i love you for being a part of that, ellie/izzie/vik/spud/feeny) with a smile on my face. i didn’t even think that was possible. thinking about it still makes me emotional: i was so happy, not just because of the game, but because of you guys. i couldn’t keep myself away from the game, but also, from sharing that excitement with those who tuned in. who talked. who watched. it almost became lonely to play by myself. it was nice to play with other people to talk to.

thank you to the friends that have stuck with me, popping in and out. the game took me long enough to finish, with bouts of Moods that kept me away from it weeks to months at a time. but no matter what, it never changed that i always loved playing this game, and it was amazing to be able to document it through my first ever attempt at streaming, since july 11th.

my two fondest memories (aside from the first night), i think (though this one is hardly a memory), is getting blackout drunk and failing miserably at the captain basch stream. feeny and ellie and izzie were there to witness it, and idk, that was just so hilarious to me, in concept. because i literally don’t remember that much of it. (i was so mortified by the stream footage i deleted it, a regret i now have.)

my second fondest memory is doing archades with ellie and @carnsy, doing the chop quest and making cracky jokes, JULES E_E, and headcanons. it was just us three in that stream in the middle of the night (for me), but it was really, really fun. that’s all that matters.

to be able to chat about headcanons on stream and joke about ships, that’s just...really cool that i was able to do that, and i’m in awe that you all stuck around, through my weird voice and lisps and bad cockney accents.

streaming this has helped give me a spark of joy and i laughed a lot. i can only hope to keep doing it with other games and would love for you to join me, old friends and new, if i play something you’re into.

i don’t know why this game stuck with me so much. all i know is that it did. the fact i draw so much inspiration from balthier and vaan, and xii’s window into ivalice in general, certainly helps. i hope that something else hits me the way this game does, because we aren’t getting a remake of a remake, lol. they did such an amazing job on it, and i am so happy i got to tell the director/producer that in person at PAX east 2017. 

this game has helped me make so many good friends (Ellie, Izzie, Vik, Spud, Tori, Raze, Jay, Sovaz, Carn, Mike, Vivi). im so glad i made it to share that excitement, joy, constant yelling about headcanons, au’s, ship bullshit, and my writing - my writing, which i haven’t honestly done since 2008, until this game came out. my writing, which i still struggle with a lot, but i really really hope to have some good stuff this year, and i hope to become better. this game is my muse. it’s hard to believe i hadn’t written in nearly nine years until it came out again, but it really has been that long. and i’m so glad that i asked in july if anyone wanted to watch me stream it - having never thought about it before - and getting the response i did. i know i took an age and a half to beat it. thanks so much for those who stuck around, or were even just a part of the first couple weeks, as that joy is still so fresh in my memory and heart. for those who joined in mid-journey. for those who made me laugh. thank you. the ffxii-the-remix tag may be finished but i will continue to be garbage on this blog for the game, and my ship.

How and when you got into this glorious fandom:

I’ve known this fandom since the game released on PSP which is, around 2012, I believe. I don’t remember tbh. But if i remember correctly, as I check on my load, it looked like I save the game since around 2012 so yeah... Though I’m not a bookworm or into otome back then though I actually play it cuz a certain samurai reminds me of someone in Bleaaaargh. *cough* Niisama *cough* However, I return back to play Hakuouki as I grown a little older and decided to play several routes. Aaaaaaaaand I’m stuck in this fandom because of Kazama’s sudden kiss in CGI WAS SUPPOSE TO CHOOSE THE NORMAL ENDING FIRST. DAMN I MISUNDERSTOOD HOW GUIDE SHOW ME

Favourite character in terms of development:

I’m not really good at seeing the character’s development. But…definitely Souji. As I replay his route, I’ve noticed that Souji was very cold toward Chizuru in ‘common route’ especially when she was worried about him when he was coughing in blood. The colder he was, the more I find myself to dislike his cold attitude toward Chizuru. However, it didn’t last long as Souji eventually opened on her little by little, which I finds myself to love him back.

A character you’d get along with irl:

Hmm… I don’t know maybe Souji? Although Saitou is more suitable to me as I enjoy staying a peaceful atmosphere like him, but it may turned awkward eventually, so Souji is the best person to get along. I enjoyed getting teased lightly, not in sarcastically or heavily however as they can snap me quickly. The more they teased me or making me feels comfortable, the more I slowly opened up with them. I can be hardly open up to those who don’t give me a light joke or talk to me a lot.

 A character you are most like:

Mostly Saitou as I’m a very quiet and introvert person, doesn’t shows any expression a lot even if people try to surprise me. I also enjoy someplace quiet where there isn’t a lot of people. There are times I also had a social anxiety. But from my friends’ perspective, I’m more as Hijikata since I often being tsundere all the time like, ‘I hate everyone, I want them all to stay away from me’ although what I meant was, ‘I’m a terrible person, I wasn’t meant to be with them’.

Least favourite character:

I like all characters, including Kaoru, and Serizawa. …Maybe except Hijikata and Niimi however. But I have a complicated feelings about Hijikata. It’s not hate him but at the same time, it’s also not favourite as well. He’s just… between them, but far away from favourite list, I guess?

Of course everyone hate Niimi, who wouldn’t? He’s nuisance and can be annoying in Reimeiroku that brings my blood boil just looking at him appeared in Reimeiroku. Well... it’s good thing that he’s finally dead.

Personal favourite husband:

 Favourite route:

Ofc, it would be none other than Kazama~ True there isn’t enough development between them before Shinkai coming. Everyone in the Shinsengumi died and bla bla bla. I can’t helped it but I suddenly love his sudden kiss on his CG truly. I wasn’t really expected to see this ending before. I was expected they’re just become friends and finally respected to each other or something. IM FREAKIN LAZY TO FIND KAZAMA WITH PURPLE WESTERN CG ALRIGHT

Souji route is also one of the second best route. . It’s nice to see Kodou as a good guy in Souji’s route(tho i can’t love him in Hijikata route despite he’d protected Chizuru from rasetsus. But somehow his words in Hiji’s doesn’t makes him a good guy or something) Other than that, another reason that I love Souji’s route is his quotes was so beautiful that I can’t stop playing his route;

I can’t expressed myself in words how much I love his quotes is. But all I can say is, it’s a very heartwarming one. I’ve always thought myself that when the time has come I would eventually hiding myself away where no one can find me.  Neither they know of my death. But Souji’s words, however, kinda changed me little by little.

As for Saitou’s route, the more I play it for a few times, the more I enjoy seeing KazamahadacrazythingforSaitouI mean Kazama’s evil side. I’m okay with whatever role Kazama’s taking as. Evil, terrible, bad, anti-hero-ish. Once the character is in my trash list, I can’t bring myself to hate or dislike it.

If it’s included Urakata though, definitely Aritomo. I may not know what’s going on with his route, possible something to do with another war or something(so glad it doesn’t has to do with Ochimizu and all). There are times Aritomo was quite strict and stern(ah wait, I recognized this character before. Who could that be?), and there’s also times Aritomo shows his cute and stundere moment.

 Who you’d wish had a route:

Well since Yamazaki and Sannan got route, I FREAKIN WANT AMAGIRI TO HAVE A ROUTE AS WELL!!!!! Honestly tho, cant we all dating other Onis beside Kazama orz. (actually tbh, choosing of all Onis route, I would definitely choose Amagiri trololol) Ah yes, just seeing Sakamoto has a route, it’s a little unfair how Nakaoka didn’t got a route as well

I mean, I like how he can be a dork, but at the same time

A freakin badass.

Just imagined how Nakaoka acted clumsier than Chizuru’s, but when an enemy tried to attack her, he would become her shining knight armor.

KAZACHI ofc. I also adore OkiChi and maybe IbaChi as I always had a soft spot for childhood friend(exceptional for Heisuke in SSL as he’s still looks like a kid).

Top 3 ships over all:

Hakuouki

KazaChi. I wasn’t expecting to ship them harder the moment I got his good ending trololol.

AmaSen. When I play Kazama route for several times, I used to thought that there’s a hint of AmaSen there. Such as he brings Sen to Kazama’s location without protest, and the other one is he couldn’t able to go to Ezo with Kazama/Chizuru cuz he’s worried of Sen WAY MORE than Chizuru’s safety lolol. And so, I was like, oh now that’s a good and interesting pairing there.

But when I ‘watch’ Story of the Shinsengumi of Amagiri’s route, I was completely flabbergasted to see how Sen and Amagiri have a very close relationship. It’s not the kind  of relationship between the Princess and the Guardian. It’s much more deeperfuck you Heisuke route how dare you make Amagiri forget Sen True that Amagiri respected her very highly but I believed there’s something even better than that. So in conclusion, They. Are. Fuckin. Canon. Deal with it.

Aaaaaannd KazaSai. At first, they’re actually my guilty pleasure pairing, but the moment I’ve read the fanfics between them(which are mostly smut-ish, yet had a very nice plotline oneshot. And another one’s angsty, which is MY FAV; not just Saitou lose his left arm, he also lose his voice to say ‘I love you’ to Kaza urgh I cried so much that fic.. HOW DARE YOU) Yes yes, I understand this pairing is more as abusive(?) But hey, there are more people(which is, mostly japanese writer/artist) draw/writing these two as a not so abusive-ish.

Urakata Hakuouki

Takasugi x Kozue. His route and CGs kinda intrigued me. Some reviewers say that Izou’s way better while the rest of routes treated Kozue like a big bro or something. While Izou is special..? Umm I don’t know???

Aritomo x Kozue. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with him little by little. HIs caring/worried toward Kozue was very something. Compared Hijikata though, he’s not over-protective or tells her to stay away from him or something. I like this kind of tsundere.

Nakaoka x Kozue. I was quite curious of him the moment I found Nakaoka/Takasugi CG where Nakaoka is all like ‘TAKASUGI-SENPAI!!!!’. Really, if Otomate ever makes Urakata SSL, Nakaoka and Shiranui should’ve create ‘Takasugi fan club’ by now pffffft. Aaaanyway, back to Nakaoka x Kozue pairing, like TakaKozue, his route quite intrigued as well. There are times Nakaoka acted a bit dorky, and there’s also Sakamoto the COCKBLOCKER. And her Niisama is alive there too...!!!!!

I have a writing blog in tumblr which is, @byaichi126fic and Fanfiction.net. However, right now, I’m focusing on writing KazaSai fics and possibly Change fic only. I also intending to write OkiChi fic, which is, requested by guest reviewer from Hisuru Hana fic. It’s been along time however, BUT her words giving me inspired to write it.

I also have an art blog. However, I don’t draw much. It depends. But, my fav Kazama/Saitou palette color already lost in my old laptop. So, the only way to make me draw once again is I have to send my old laptop to the electronic shop to fix it.

☀ What’s your rp pet peeve? –> Ship forcing. This is literally the best way to get me to unfollow or even block another mun. I’ll explain what ship-forcing is below, but yeah, that’s one of them.

♦ What was a mildly annoying thing that has happened to you rp wise? –> See above. It happened once on my Warren blog, and once very recently on here. Now, a bit of a definition, here - I don’t see ship-forcing as asking me if I want to ship, or saying your muse has a crush on Braig - heck, that can be flattering (though I prefer if we know each other, first - it can get a bit uncomfy for me, kind of like virtual catcalling, I guess, when complete strangers tell me how attractive they think Braig is). I don’t see it as someone’s muse having feelings for Braig, one-sided or otherwise. All of these things are A-Okay, and can be quite fun, too! What I do see ship forcing is when someone asks if they can ship with Braig, and instantly, as soon as I say ‘we can give it a try’, deciding that our muses are suddenly soulmates, even if they’ve hardly said four sentences to each other, before. I see it as asking to ship, then immediately dropping the thread where they were actually in the process of meeting each other to have them now in the middle of a date, which, given the context of where, when, and how said date was taking place would likely have gotten them both killed. I see it as pestering Braig to do something ‘romantic’, having both Braig and I say no, he doesn’t want to, and the other person keeps pushing, regardless, or getting upset when Braig decides to respond with something not romantic and replying to that with some rude, snarky comment. ‘Uh, I think [muse] wanted Braig to do [X], actually’ - Yes, that has happened, before. I’ve been vagueblogged about, spammed on and off anon, been told I’ve made peoples’ depression/anxiety worse, had on-blog events ruined and muses killed and simply been harassed at all hours of the day because of ship-forcing and my trying to deal with it gently and politely, instead of just flat-out saying ‘no’ or ‘I’m not comfortable with this’. So, if it ever seems like I’m coming down too hard on someone in regards to shipping, I swear I don’t mean to come off as abrasive or rude - I just learned the hard way that you’ve gotta be blunt about your comfort zones or else things go south faster than a flock of geese on an adrenaline high. Basically, to sum this novel up: As long as you respect my boundaries, we’re good; if I haven’t told you you’re skeeving me out, we’re good. If I have told you you are, and you keep doing whatever it was, we’re not so good. 

☢ What fads/trends are you so over? –> I don’t really keep up with trends enough to know lmao. I mean I guess I’ve seen a few, but they don’t really bother me. You do you, and all… Though, I guess I never entirely understood the whole ‘personified objects’ thing? I mean, you do you, and all, but it just never  made sense to me.

✖ How has Tumblr RP changed since you started? –> It hasn’t, not really. I think the only real changes have been purely aesthetic, like small text,  contained themes, etc. I really don’t care what other people do, as long as they’re happy and not hurting anyone.

♥ What’s the WORST thing that has happened to you rp wise?

Okay, so, I told two of my rp horror stories over on Xig, so I’ll tell my third one here. Since I gave the other two pseudonyms, we’ll call this one ‘Cheeper’. Cheeper was someone I had met when a mutual friend we’ll call Battery allegedly recommended my blog to them. Now, Battery was someone I had approximately zero problems with. Really friendly, sweet guy, talented writer, great sense of humour, one of my favourite people to write with. So, I figured, if Cheeper was a friend of Battery’s, they must be cool, too, right? … Wrong. So, things start out okay-ish, as they always do, but things get downhill pretty fast. Starts off with small things, like ignoring asks or dropping literally all of our threads without letting me know. And I understand wanting to drop threads or not being able to get to everything in your ask box, but when that happens consistently, it gets a little disheartening.

The next little thing was when they started making AUs of my muse, and expecting me to write them. Lemme say here that I am totally fine with people suggesting AUs for my muses. That’s where this blog came from, Rodi suggesting a Star Wars AU where another one of my muses was Obi’s padawan, so, again, I’m fine with AU prompts. What I’m not fine with is when someone writing a really detailed version of my muse without consulting me at all, and then expecting me to write that AU they made with no warning and no problems. Cheeper comes into my IMs listing this novel-length AU detailing not only how their muse changed, but how mine did, as well. Basically, the entire idea was that their muse, who in canon was a big tank-type character who had been straight-up abusive to multiple characters, and turned them into a small, fluffy little mage who was actually a good guy and hadn’t done any bad things, and was being forced to do the bad guys’ dirty work, whereas my muse… Was suddenly the abusive one. For absolutely no reason. In a way that not only completely contradicted all of my personal headcanons - all of which were posted and easily viewable on my blog - but also went against all of what canon had showed us about my muse, and quite frankly made me really uncomfortable. I mean, you’ve seen some of the stuff I’ve written, you know I’m down to write some pretty messed up stuff, but to straight up turn my muse into a child abuser, WITHOUT CONSULTING ME AT ALL, just so your muse can be the good guy? That doesn’t fly so well. On top of that, writing such a detailed version of my muse and expecting me to play it for you? Why not write it yourself? I mean like I said, I am thrilled with AU suggestions, but, hell, keep it to a sentence or two, tops. Let me experiment and develop my muse to fit the AU myself, thanks. … And, while these things were pretty irritating, especially when a few of them happened over and over again, it got worse.

A lot of the time, when I’m having OOC conversations to get to know another mun before we start writing together, I look for a sort of ‘spark’ or ‘click’ - something that shows this person and I are gonna get along. For a lot of people, including my favourite partners, this click is basically immediate - just this instant ‘wow, we’re gonna be good friends, this is great!’, and, for others, it takes a bit longer, and that’s totally okay! Some people take a while to open up, or maybe it wasn’t a good day for one of us, I totally get it, happens to me, too. How quickly the click happens has absolutely NO BEARING ON MY OPINION OF A PERSON WHATSOEVER. There have been I think only three or four times I haven’t clicked with someone - twice on Warren, once on Xig, and once here. If I message you first, send asks, tag you in things, like your posts, etc, we’ve clicked, don’t worry. Anyway, Cheeper was one of these rare occurrences where there was not only no click, there was the opposite of a click. At first I thought it was just ‘cause our first convo was a bit awkward - from what I remember, it was basically just ‘hi, My name is [Cheeper], I’m [Battery]’s friend and he recommended your blog so I thought I’d give you a follow’, you know, typical ‘hi, nice to meet you’ type thing, I didn’t think much of it. Unfortunately, that was the only pleasant conversation we had.

You see, Cheeper had the habit of starting conversations with some variation of ‘how are you?’. Doesn’t sound too bad, right? Well, in typical Canadian fashion, I always did my best to follow social protocol and be polite, and say ‘I’m good/fine/great, thanks, how are you?’, and, much like Han Solo, I learned that there are some situations you shouldn’t ask that question. Every time, without fail, Cheeper would say some variation of ‘bad’ or ‘horrible’, and proceed to dump literally all their life’s problems on me, and I mean all of them. I’m perfectly fine with letting my friends vent/rant to me as much as they need, and offering advice is a pass-time of mine. But, I had only known this person for- Less than a week, when this started (I hardly even knew their NAME I had to look it up on their blog), and they kept going on and on about some really personal shit, like hours of how they hated their job and school was stressful, and their family was aphobic and never used the right pronouns, literally everything about their personal life, no matter how private it was, just- Constant negativity, all the time. It was literally all they spoke about, ever. I don’t know anything else about them, just that their life was terrible and they decided to use me as some sort of verbal stress ball. Even if I tried to divert the conversation to a different topic, or just ignore them entirely, I’d still get floods of negativity and complaints. And what makes it even better? They had a frickin therapist! This person, who had a professional, trained therapist, would spend hours unloading all of their mental/emotional burdens on me, an untrained stranger who had only said ‘hi’ to them once. And, after they had dumped all their baggage on me, they’d say, ‘oh, gotta go, it’s time to go to my therapist’. And, honestly? That was the only time I felt safe to post on my blog. Yes, you read that right - it was the only time I felt safe to post on my own blog. I honestly could not make a post on my blog without Cheeper spamming my IMs with boatloads of stress-inducing negativity. And, call me selfish, call me insensitive, call me whatever you want, but, fuck, I had my own problems! I was in university, trying to get law school level grades, while working a part time job to try and help my family out when we were struggling financially, doing what I could to make sure there was enough food in the fridge for my younger brothers, trying to help my grandma take care of my grandpa, trying to keep up with my martial arts - which I have to do in order to keep my job - and trying to write multiple essays for both my younger brother and myself, as we were prepping for our black sash tests, but he was also trying to get into film school, so I’d volunteered to write the sash essays for him, and, let me tell you, I did not need to play counsellor to someone I didn’t even know on top of that. And, like I said, this happened constantly, and I’d get a new flood of messages every time I so much as hinted at being online.

And believe it or not, it got worse, Sakrine.

I remember there was one conversation we had (’conversation’ being used loosely, of course) towards the end of our interactions where Cheeper was complaining at me, as per usual, and mentioned how all of their friends were blocking them without saying why. Funnily enough, I was planning on blocking them soon, myself (probably should have done it a long time ago). But, lo and behold, right after saying how they were always getting blocked, Cheeper goes and says ‘but you’d never block me, so at least I have you. You’re my best friend, Jay’. And I’m sitting here really uncomfortable because, uh, no, we’re not best friends, and I have no idea what gave them that idea, since I never told them anything of the sort, and in fact barely spoke to to them at all, both because I didn’t much care for their company, and because I could hardly get a word in edgewise - and, even if I could, how does one respond to a total stranger badgering you for advice on how to deal with their family not handling their being out well? I’m not out to my family, and I don’t think I ever will be, so, again, how can I give that sort of advice to someone I don’t know?

About the time this was happening was when I met and was chatting with Rodi, who’s actually one of my best friends and the light of my life. Like I mentioned above, it was at her suggestion that I decided to make this li’l OC mess that we know and love here. He was originally gonna be a verse on my other blog, until I realised that I’d have tags for a Jedi verse, a padawan verse, a Sith verse, etc., and that was too many for one AU, so I made a sideblog. Then, after only a day of having that, and a bit of encouragement from both Rodi and Milla (my main Talon), I made this stand-alone blog for my son, and I was having a great time.

Cheeper, however, was not, and made sure I knew it.

Now, my muse for that blog had been steadily dying, mostly because of this, but also for a few other, more minor reasons, and I felt way more comfortable here, was having more fun, and generally just enjoying myself way more on this blog than the other, so, naturally, this is where I spent most of my time. Within a day or two of my neglecting Xig, Cheeper pops into the IMs to complain about me, to me. Yes, I am dead serious, this is an actual thing that happened. They start badgering me to go back to my other blog, and, I dunno if this has ever happened to you, but, it’s really disheartening. I explained to Cheeper that I felt more comfortable on this blog (though I didn’t tell them why I felt that way on Xig; Perhaps I should’ve), that I had more drafts and asks on this blog, and that I had more muse for this character at the moment, so I’d be spending my time over here, at least for a little bit. Their oh-so-eloquent response was, and this is a verbatim quote, ‘boo, you suck.’ And I had absolutely no idea how to respond to that, so I didn’t. I just sat there, staring, feeling an interesting concoction of shocked, annoyed, and offended. About a minute later, they added a ‘lol, just kidding’, and proceeded to… Continue… To complain about me, as well as about their life and still expected me to give them advice and solutions I didn’t have. I’ve never had someone act more entitled to my time and energy as this person did. 

Now, I know what you’re probably thinking - ‘they were probably just some kid, Jay, young people can be like that at times, you’re taking it too hard’, and, hey, I thought so, too. I was nineteen years old when this was happening; Cheeper was around 24 or 25. Yup, this person was about five or six years older than me, and a grown-ass adult the entire time. And like I said, they were constantly acting entitled to everything I did, like I owed them something. There was another time where I’d actually gotten a bit of muse for my other blog back, so I went on, answered a bunch of asks, slammed out some drafts, sent some memes, answered some IMs… It was a really productive evening for me. Once I was finished, I came back here and got a bit more done. Next morning rolls around, and Cheeper messages me with ‘I miss you, dude. You’re never on Xig, any more.’ I tell them that, actually I’d been on last night, for a few hours, at least. Their response? ‘Well, I wasn’t on.’, after which they kept complaining about how much they missed my muse and my writing. I get this was probably supposed to be flattering, but it really wasn’t? Especially considering that, while they were going on and on about how much they missed me and wanted to write with me, they were completely ignoring the THREE STARTERS I had written for them in the weeks leading up to this point. Hadn’t even given them a like, which I like to do to let someone know that, even if I’m slow as all Hell - which I tend to be - I have seen it, and it’s in my drafts. So, I mentioned this to Cheeper, said ‘you know, I have a couple starters for you on the other blog, why don’t you check those out?’ ‘Oh, I didn’t see them, I’ll give them a look.’ And then, blissfully, they stopped messaging. Little while later, a few days, I got another message from them (keep in mind I never contacted them or interacted with them first, since, rude as it may sound, I was kind of hoping they’d get the message), and once again they were whining about how I was never on Xig again, so I went to check the starters again, and… Still no notes. So I ask them about the starters, and they say ‘I couldn’t find them’. You know how I looked them up? [my blog’s url]/tagged/[cheeper’s url], and, bam. There they were. I told Cheeper this and even sent them the link to their tag. They said okay, that they’d check it out later, and started complaining about their life again. I was serious when I said this was the only thing they talked about, outside of basically harassing me to write with them. Few days later, they get on my case AGAIN for not being on Xig/not rping with them. I check the THREE FUCKING STARTERS again,  STILL NO NOTES. I ask, and ‘oh I just don’t have muse for them right now lol’. And I’m left sitting here like, okay, do you really want to write with me, or are you just mad I’m not dedicating all of my attention to you and your godawful AU muses? I mean, I have NOTHING against AU muses - that’s where this kiddo came from, after all - but AUS WHERE THEY PUSHED MY CHARACTER TO BE A FUCKING CHILD ABUSER WERE APPARENTLY ALL THEY HAD MUSE FOR. So anyway yeah they proceeded to ignore those starters for months, and every time I posted a new starter call,they’d like that, I’d post a starter, they’d completely ignore it, then come crying and complaining to me, berating me and all but sobbing about how much they missed me.

BUT IT GETS WORSE STILL, SAKRINE.

After a while, Cheeper starts asking me about Star Wars. And I’m torn between ‘fuck no, this is my new safe place, and I’m TRYING TO BE SAFE FROM YOU’ and ‘well maybe if they get into this series they’ll stop getting upset with me for not writing on a blog I have no muse for and am not comfortable on’. So they ask me what they need to watch to understand Star Wars. I tell them to watch the movies, since those are the unchanging canon, no matter what Disney did to the Legends material. Apparently they don’t even have the attention span for their favourite show, so they can’t watch the movies. They complain to me about that for a while, because apparently I care. I did not. I tell them that everything Star Wars - or at least, in the era I write in - revolves around those movies. I tell them they can just watch the PT (and explain what the different trilogies are) and that will get them caught up with where I write. Nope, can’t do that. So I tell them there are book versions of the movies they can read, instead, and there are also comics and stuff they can look into if that would be better.

Nope, don’t have the attention span for books.

Complain about that to me for a while, then ask what they absolutely HAVE to watch to understand. 

I tell them about the Clone Wars show, give them a link to the relevant KissCartoon page. They ask how long the show is - I tell them the number of seasons (mention that 6 is unfinished), and the average length of an episode.

Nope, don’t have the attention span for that, either.

They reiterate that they hardly have the attention span for their favourite show, and once again complain to me before asking me what the /HAVE TO WATCH/ to understand.

I tell them that they’re free to try interacting with my muse on their KH blogs, since I’m open to crossovers and still, for some ungodly reason, trying to be civil.

They keep asking about star wars.

I mention the video games.

Don’t have the attention span for video games.

So this person, who apparently can’t watch movies or TV shows, or read books or comics, or play video games, is asking me what source material they need to know to roleplay a Star Wars verse. 

I, as a last-ditch and mostly sarcastic effort, give them a link to Wookieepedia. I’m a terrible person, I know.

I’m all but smashing my face against the keyboard now, while this person is COMPLAINING TO ME ABOUT HOW LONG STAR WARS IS. 

I mean I get it’s a lot but I tried to break it down?? And last I checked I’m not George Lucas like I’m sorry but it’s not my fault, my problem, or in my power to change? And I tell them it’s 40 years worth of worldbuilding and try to help them break it down again and they just KEEP FUCKING COMPLAINING.

And after like. Two hours of me trying to reason with them and help them out they say ‘I’m not even interested in star Wars, I just want to write with you’. 

And now, maybe I’m reading into it too much. Maybe I listen to too many narrated Let’s Not Meet videos too late at night. But holy shit, I have never felt like I had a legitimate stalker until that moment. It was one of the most uncomfortable things that has ever happened to me. I had zero idea how to respond, and so again I don’t think I did. Or, if I did, it was to again try to explain to them that there was a lot of material, and they should [leavemethefuckalone] focus on things they were interested in, especially if they didn’t think they could handle just the show. So they complain to me about that for a bit, before moving on to other topics to whine about. Always comes back to how I’m not writing with them any more (meanwhile, the countless starters I’ve written them are still being ignored, as are any and all threads we had on the go at the time. Everything’s either been ignored, abandoned, or both, all without letting me know.).I honestly don’t remember how that conversation ended. Just thinking about it makes me blank out and get a sort of mild pins-and-needles feeling. I mean, I get it was probably supposed to be flattering, and if we had been friends it might have been, but coming from this person? Alarm bells were ringing like a retro emergency evac PSE.

So, enter me, just going back to uni for the spring/early summer semester. Our stage sets itself in my campus’ bookstore, at about noon or one o’clock in the afternoon. The line from the bookstore stretches from the counter, at one end of the store, wraps around the perimeter of that very large, very spacious room that was at one point a lecture hall, goes through the hall to the next room which also used to be a massive classroom, wraps around that and goes out the back door. I had to get up for an 8:30 that was across the field that day. I had non-stop class until this point, I had had no breakfast (though I think I had a sip of orange juice to keep from conking out), I had been waiting in line for close to an hour, my arms were full of heavy textbooks I dreaded having to pay for, and I only had one hand free for typing, and there was a chance I’d be late to my next class if this line didn’t get moving. As you can imagine, I wasn’t much in the mood for talking (though I think I made the effort for Rodi and Maddie (my best friend from public school who I still talk to) since I enjoy talking to them and it made me feel a bit better). Anyway, I’m in line, tired, irate, and scrolling through tumblr, and Cheeper messages me with a ‘hey’. Oh fuck, I think, this isn’t good. I greet them anyway - just a ‘hi’. I’m only giving one word answers at this point, since I’m not in a chatty mood, and, as I mentioned, I’m typing with just my thumb and that fucking sucks and takes forever, and I’m also trying to keep my place in line. Cheeper starts asking me about school, and I’m very confused, because never once in the months I’d known them had they ever taken an interest in me or my life. ‘so you’re in university right’ they ask. I remember most of this conversation word for word, and you’ll see why. ‘yeah’, I reply. ‘What year?’ they ask; ‘Second \o/’ I say, adding an emoji b/c I love that one. ‘Cool, what’s your major?’ they ask, and I’m getting hopeful that maybe they’ve turned a new leaf and my patience with them has been rewarded. So I tell them ‘Classics \O/’ with a slightly more excited emoji, and they tell me that’s cool, mention their major is in foreign languages - I think Chinese? Maybe Spanish? This is the one message I can never remember in its entirety, because the next one almost knocked me over. I replied with ‘cool’, and a half second later, Cheeper asks, 

“Are you out to your family yet?”

This complete fucking stranger, this grown-ass adult I barely knew, straight up asked me if I was out to my family, yet. I have never been asked that question before or since. I am out only to people on tumblr, and a small group of my most trusted friends from high school. And this person had the fucking audacity to ask me right out if I was. 

I was shocked.

I will not lie to you, I almost dropped my phone. I think I stopped breathing for a second, and I nearly lost my place in line. I was torn between just being frozen and being fucking livid. After a moment when I didn’t respond, they added, ‘Can I ask that?’ And I swear those two messages are tattooed into my mind.

“Are you out to your family yet?”

Holy fuck.

So I manage to collect myself enough to type out ‘no, I’m not’. 

‘Damn,’ they say. ‘Because my mom keeps messing up my pronouns and I wanted to know if you have any advice.’ 

Because why the fuck else would they care about me, right?

And then they proceeded to complain about their life and their aphobic family to me AGAIN, for HOURS, but at that point I’d been ignoring their messages and was instead talking to Maddie for advice on how to handle the situation. I had no idea what to do. I was lost. Like. I wanted to block them so bad but they’d been subtly guilt-tripping me about it for so long (’you’d never block me, you’re my best friend’ was just the start of that, tbh) that I felt bad for it? And Maddie was just like ‘jay no that’s fucked up get rid of them’ and I did.

I have never once regretted it and holy fuck it feels amazing to get this shit off my chest.

And yeah, so.

That was one of my worst RP experiences.

WWE SummerSlam 2018 - Preview & Predictions

Hi all, welcome back for what now will be the longest night of the summer, so many matches on the card and kick off show so lets get into it and get out quickly.

Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns: WWE Universal Championship Match

Please let this be the last match between the two, please, we’ve had enough. Just let Reigns beat him finally for the title and move on with the title being defended more on tv, and IF Lesnar agree’s to a new deal lets all hope he gets it put in the deal that he gets to have fresh challenges in the future.

So, Roman wins the match as well as the belt the crowd boo’s like mad, Braun appears and cashes in his MITB contract and walks out of the show as the new champion with the fans going wild. This quickly moves the title with the fans not caring as someone they like has the belt in the end, Roman finally conquers Brock and gets that monkey off of his back, and they traverse well from Reigns/Lesnar straight into Reigns/Strowman so that Brocks move back into the UFC isnt the big story. - REIGNS

AJ Styles (c) vs Samoa Joe: WWE Championship Match

This will be an awesome match, the friends here have great chemistry together in the ring from working in different companies against each other.

I really want Joe to take the title tonight but I dont think its time just yet, plus I think there could be ALOT of potential title changes on the show so they may hold off as there’s plenty of room to explore in this feud over the next month or two - STYLES

Alexa Bliss (c) vs Ronda Rousey: WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match

Im surprised they've been able to keep theirselves from getting the title on Ronda so long, they probably should have waited longer but this seems to be her coronation time. All eyes will be on her tonight, dont be surprised if there’s a late decision on match order for the show with this coming in as a late contender for the main event slot if there’s going to be a title change. Personally im not sure if this is the perfect timing for it or maybe they should have it be the main event at the Evolution PPV........I know spoilers are out there for that show already but Ronda winning the title there might be bigger overall in impact than their current plans.

With so many bouts on the show I see one or two turning into pretty quick squash matches, this is potentially one of them, they just have to be careful of destroying Bliss by doing so but then again she could do with time away from the title after the past few years of her on Raw and Smackdown with the belts - ROUSEY

Braun Strowman vs Kevin Owens: Winner By Any Means Takes The MITB Opportunity

I dont think there’s much of a chance here of an upset win for Owens, he got that last month in the cage match, and really this is just a stop gap feud for Braun before his cash in.

Sadly Owens isnt the guy in focus at the moment on Raw but does his job so well that he will get used alot to help others, hopefully he still remains a threat in managements minds and doesn't get looked at differently for being so useful - STROWMAN 

Dolph Ziggler (c) w/ Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins w/ Dean Ambrose: WWE Raw Intercontinental Championship Match

Dean’s new look wasn't that impressive for them to update the image for the match obviously lol

I think the title changes hands here and we move into these four guys interchanging in different matches, so Drew/Rollins and Dolph/Ambrose then tag matches - ROLLINS

Becky Lynch vs Carmella (c) vs Charlotte: WWE Smackdown Live Women’s Championship Match

Im kinda gutted that this was altered into a three way match with Charlotte being added, it felt the perfect setup for a one on one bout with Becky winning the title back finally. Now it has that weird feeling to it with her ‘best friend’ Charlotte around and them eventually fighting each other, hopefully the crowd stick with Lynch throughout and dont pick Charlotte to cheer and her to boo, hopefully.

Carmella’s reign has been worrying sadly, she’s ended up on commentary far too often lately when really she should have been added to some of the tag matches that have occurred. It really doesn't feel like they 100% trust her which is madness after they gave her the title, and its all on managements heads to be honest. When she won the MITB briefcase they should have had her in matches most weeks going 10 minutes or over with solid wrestlers to get her ready and improved for the eventual title reign, instead she got hardly any ring time to help develop herself and is now being found out at the time she needs the help the most.

Lynch should take the belt and have a good title run after not seeing the belt for a decent amount of time - LYNCH 

Daniel Bryan vs The Miz

Some great time and segments have gone into this feud over the years and hopefully the match lives upto it, not sure if this will be a feud that will continue for longer or it may be one that dies down after the finish only to be picked up again afew months down the road when one of these men get nearer to the world title scene.

I see Bryan winning here and maybe moving onto a feud with Nakamura or possibly Orton, him moving upto the world title scene wont occur yet, they haven't confirmed his new contract just yet so be prepared to wait till Mania time for them to pull the trigger big time to have him back at the top of the card - BRYAN

Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs Jeff Hardy: WWE Smackdown Live US Championship Match

Hopefully this match doeskin end again with Randy Orton interfering again and they just leave the two have a solid 15 minutes, they seem to have some good chemistry together and freshness - NAKAMURA 

Finn Balor vs CUNTstable Corbin

I hate that this match is taking up time on the show, nothing against Finn as I love the guy and have supported him for years, but this bout is only happening because of the companies stupid booking and making everything 50/50. Finn should have gone over strong in the first match and then won the second, then have Corbin use his position to have Balor go against bigger names. Instead we have to have them beating each other all the time so that nothing ever matters, if Corbin is in a management position then he doesn't so much need the wins at the moment as he should be using his position more - BALOR

The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs The New Day: WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship Match

Im not sure of anyone really knows the direction they want to go with these belts, the Bludgeons should have been wrestling more as their reign hasn't really felt anything special which is sad for them. Whoever wins will most likely end up feuding with the same old names again, lets hope it gets changed up alittle and The Bar get involved more - BLUDGEON BROTHERS

The show still seems to be finding its way as 205 Live are doing great at booking small time feuds, but there really doesn't feel to be a longer plan in mind as to who takes the title next and where it goes from there - ALEXANDER

Rusev + Lane vs Zelina Vega + Andrade Cien Almas (Kick Off Match)

Im gutted for Rusev, he goes from fighting for the world title against Styles one month to being relegated to the pre-show the next, him vs Andrade should have been on the main card in a one on one match allowing them both to have a show stealer and impress everyone that still hasn't seen much of what Almas can offer.

Instead we have it built around the managers and Aiden English all not getting along, the less we talk about Lana having to act or wrestle the better, infact just go back at the second incident they all had and notice that they had to cut Lana’s bump out of the replays because it was that bad - ANDRADE/VEGA

The B Team (c) vs The Revival: WWE Raw Tag Team Championship Match

After retaining their titles on Raw The B Team have to defend their titles again against the Revival, this feels like one of those occasions where they will have the match here and then re-do it again on Raw, just that the title change will wait till Raw I predict - REVIVAL

I wonder if we get any surprise names around the show, maybe an NXT call up tonight or tomorrow???

Basically I have just changed jobs, where I had company cars for the last 6 years with no claims.
