as im watching the FMI arc i genuinely found this scene to be so interesting, Luffy's selfishness isn't anything new here but to see him acknowledge it and even have an analogy for it is really amusing. Probably one of the most unique MCs i've seen in a while, and I think it's really cool how morally ambiguous the rest of the straw hats are too, it makes me love the characters and the show so much more for some reason. it keeps things really surprising to me because they don't always choose the path that will "save the world" or whatever but will instead benefit them (it just happens that they can tell right from wrong and so most of the time their actions have positive effects)

they werent lying that knuckles series barely has knuckles in it

#i pirated that shit Btw just so we're clear. also gonna talk about it a little bit in the tags #nothing too spoilery but also might not wanna read if you want to go in knowing absolutely nothing? idk #anyway he WAS a main character still he was present for a decent amount of the first couple episodes #but the amount of screentime he gets just starts dropping after that . hes barely there at all in the second half ???#and it feels like theres a lot of scenes mostly focusing on wade and his problems and not near as many for knuckles and his whole deal #overall it feels more like a wade show with knuckles in it than a knuckles show with wade in it. which sucks #and human characters having plot relevance isnt the problem here i dont mind human characters at all i think they can be really fun #its the fact that the human characters are taking over the story and spotlight when the show is called knuckles #and all the marketing makes it look like knuckles is the main focus #and i also would have preferred if they just went with a differnet character to be knuckles' human friend #because i dont particulraly care about wade. and the knuckles (and sonic and tails) i know would not be friends with cops </3 #well at least the story wasnt knuckles training wade to be a better cop like a lot of people were expecting but thats like.the bare minimum #also aside from the issues relating to knuckles' screentime (or lack of screentime) i thought the ending was unsatisfying #regardless of all that though there WERE some parts i enjoyed or found kind of funny or whatever. because knuckles so cutesy as always #knuckles being a cute little guy is the most important part of the show actually #and i liked the parts with sonic tails and maddie even if they were only there for like 5 minutes #(i really wish those three had gotten more screentime. i feel like they could have easily worked in at least one more scene with them)#and its a minor thing but the opening sequence is cute. was honestly expecting just a title card or something #overall the show is just . kind of okay i guess. not the worst thing ive ever seen but still disappointing ? idk how to explain..#my expectations also werent very high in the first place #so maybe im being a bit more generous than i would have been otherwise. idk #and i definitely would not recommend this to anyone who already dislikes the sonic movies . youll probably hate this more #like people who thought the human characters got too much screentime in the second movie would lose their minds if they saw this

#things i understand and appreciate more now that im #older #also thr whispy episode is neat its a very charming episode :3 tokkori is even neat here #this is also literally the only environmental episode i think i care about. besides maybeeee the crow one idk #it feels really weird and rude to say this but god i do not care for the environmental episodes #like. this first one is okay because its the core of the episode but it doesnt smother it if that makes sense #it becomes a massive player in the second half while the first half is more subtle #and its a good way to introduce whispy #its a great way to establish how much fumu loves the environment and her planet and how she wants to protect it #and like. most of the episodes are well intentioned and i get that japanese kids media especially wanted to lean into environmentalism #bc iirc there was a big movement there around this time #the problem is that there are so many of them and all of the ones after this are soooooo boring #like theyre mostly interchangable with the first whispy episode tbh. at least from what i remember #and they have the subtlety of a brick to the face and they get so preachy about it that it takes me out of the episode #again it feels mean to dislike them bc theyre well intentioned and its a good message but they just get suffocating #as a kid i was always like ‘’oh yay ill watch this episode today- aw damn its another whispy episode’’#echoed voice #hnk liveblog

idk but seeing how much less jimmysea lolfanfest videos have surfaced compared to the other cps makes me even more excited for last twilight to air and for everyone to finally give them the recognition they deserve. they (especially sea) are so sweet to their fans and so hard-working. why are they so underrated????

i don't mean to sound like a hypocrite because i do always say that different people resonate with different things and that's perfectly fine, which is true!!!!! but while on one hand i do firmly believe in this, on the other i can't deny that the very idea of people disliking jimmysea is incredibly baffling to me. they both are such kind and humble boys, always appreciating their fans and everyone who helped them getting where they are now, and i know they are fairly quiet compared to other pairings and that maybe they will never be all-over each other all the time (both because of their personalities and their age difference), but i think you just need to see them interact to realize that they share an incredible bond

FOR EXAMPLE IM CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH THE TACIT UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE HAPPEN BETWEEN THEM WHEN SEA TEARED UP DURING THE LOL FANFEST AND JIMMY HANDED HIM TISSUES

y'know i think i prefer when showrunners have an ending in mind to work towards and/or at least a general plan for the show they're making actually. idk maybe I'M the weird one for liking story cohesion between seasons in the shows i watch
