I know that everyone expects Crowley to be super depressed and suicidal and doing nothing at the start of S3 but like. I really hope they DON'T do that and use this to showcase Growth and some of my favorite things about Book Crowley. He loves life and creation!! He's an optimist! In the book he thinks Aziraphale is dead and the forces of Hell are hunting him and the world is ending but he still chooses to drive to Tadfield without any angelic intervention! He's still going to try! He loves humanity too much to give up on them even at his lowest- thats an essential point to him. And TV Crowley knows they're planning another Apocalypse. I have faith in Crowley. Crossing my fingers that it isn't misplaced because I want to see it.
i agree with you 100% nonnie✨ this is - whether he admits it or not at least in the show - the core of crowley's character and it would be a shame if he were portrayed as otherwise. given that s3 is going to be more in line with what terry and neil had planned for a book sequel, i think we can rest assured that he will be characterised in the way he was in the original book!!!
i mean, it'd be strange if he weren't sad... but i don't want to see it be his only manner of expression. i want rage, and numbness, and single-minded determination to Carry On. i want the hard shell he has around his heart to callous and toughen even further, i want him to be practically impenetrable because that would feel the most authentic reaction to the ep6 scene... and it layered underneath swagger and cockiness and confidence that we have also seen from him, but like a thousand-fold.
i want to see him hate aziraphale, because he doesn't know how else he can tolerate what happened. i know that's possibly controversial, but i do - i want him to see aziraphale as the Enemy to his side, formerly Their Side. i want him to think that aziraphale has fully regressed to the devout angel he used to be, and villify him because he can't reconcile that the image of him he had in his head is the same angel that chose to go back. this isn't to make crowley seem like the bad guy - i want the same reflection from aziraphale, too!
but then out of that i want crowley to take the opportunity to look at why he rejected heaven in that scene, and by extension aziraphale. why does this part of aziraphale, this constant need to do good and do the right thing (by his account) scare him? why did he interpret what aziraphale was saying in the way he did? why does he feel he doesn't need, want, or deserve to help build a better heaven? why does he feel the constant need to run? we have our speculations but im so excited to see his introspection and possibly discover that actually, he's allowed to be angry and hurt, but he's allowed equally to be vulnerable and to heal.
crowley has his own brand of bravery. to my mind, it's not the same bravery as aziraphale's, which despite being a bit jittery and trepidatious, is deep and fervent... crowley's is impulsive and instinctive, afraid to fly but will leap off and dive with little regard for the consequences given a push. aziraphale is usually that push, but i would love to see crowley find it just for himself, because he deserves to fight for himself as well as aziraphale and the rest of humanity✨
#good omens#ask#edit: ok just for clarity - its not that tv crowley isnt already these traits but it naturally harder to show#every facet of a character on screen than it is in a book#so maybe just to let this side of him loose the tiniest bit more in the show? idk im not saying tv crowley is ooc#but maybe more emphasis etc etc#crowley meta

Lilith for the character ask?
Oh boy, a controversial character! Gotta say, I stan James Charles /J
How do I feel about this character?:
On a real note, I do like Lilith as a character. When we first meet her, she's pompous and proud. Oozing with entitlement, she's easy to route against and you like to see her get worked up and "brought down" to Eda's level as the wild which so eloquently put it. Later on, but not too much later that it feels disingenuous, we really get to see her show that she cares for her sister. One might believe it is *Eda* being ridiculous, as far as the audience is aware, Lilith's offer holds little downsides. Eda would be cured and be afforded the luxuries of the upper class AND keep her magic. All she had to do was be the Emperor's soldier.
As to not get off track by talking about Eda, (im sure Lilith herself would loathe that lol) Lilith's reveal to have cursed her sister over a spot in the emperor's coven was...controversial to say the least. I don't think it's unpopular to voice that, yeah. It could've been communicated better to the audience since I saw plenty of commentators and regular fans themselves either thought Lilith cursing her sister was *needlessly* petty and not at all thought out (which yeah it kinda was).
From where I stand on that issue is, yeah, Lilith's whole reason to curse her sister could've been avoided by just talking to her sister and asking her to let her have this. BUT, I think a lot of people forget that the Emperor's coven would want to limit the number of powerful witches in their coven. Sure, Belos would want to be protected by a bunch of loyal soldiers, but he wouldn't want too much of the population to ever have a much power as him. So limiting the number of members in not just his coven but possible in the other major covens, would aid in controlling that population.
This might be pure hogwash but like, there are a ton of other "lesser" covens. So in my mind, it's more likely that the general population of witches gets sorted into one of the various miscellaneous. If you think limiting yourself to only practicing Illusion magic sucks, imagine only practicing whatever the fuck the "swag coven" does.
Lol gonna add a page break this shit is getting too long
Romantic Ships for this character?:
Hm, it's only s1 and we haven't seen her interact w/ many characters outside of her fam/Belos/actual children. I kinda jokingly ship here with Steve lol. Kikimora and her also have a funny dynamic but in all actuality, I don't ship her w/ anyone rn.
Non-Romantic Ships for this character?:
Her and Hooty lol. I mean Eda is an obvious answer but like, Hooty fucking with Lilith is too funny to not want to see. Her and King would be great too, probably get some good B plots out of it. It would be a good contrast since they both can be petty but in different ways and I think that would help flesh out their characters a bit more and maybe cause some introspection (at least on Lilith’s end lol)
Unpopular opinion about this character?:
Lol. I feel like she is such a divisive character in general that most opinions about her aren’t too out of the main stream. I guess a more meta take is that when she’s portrayed in fanworks, usually fanfic but not exclusively, very...one note lol. She’s usually a pretty flat, boring character in an attempt to highlight the contrast between her and Eda. She’s the straight-laced, “responsible” sibling who has a chip on her shoulder. In fanon, that equates to her characterization to either be like, completely and utterly apologetic to the point where it becomes unbelievable for any person to do. Her apologizing or making amends is usually quickly forgiven by Luz/and or Eda. Sure, Luz is very forgiving person naturally but like?? She’s wasn’t mad in canon too much about THEIR well being (almost getting impaled), she was specifically pissed about Lilith betraying Eda.
So, if Lilith is a big part of your story (and it’s working in the realm of canon), then this should be a problem which doesn’t get resolved by just ONE big action. I also feel like her being on better terms with Eda would come BEFORE Luz since Eda’s main gripe with her would be about her being annoyed by Lilith’s controlling nature and the fact that she didn’t trust her enough to talk about her feelings back when she was first cursed (also her using Luz against her but I feel like that would probably be a hurdle that wouldn’t really be over come until Lilith in turn would be willing to sacrifice herself for Luz while also making an effort to care for Luz as a person not just see her as a “pet”). Hhhh this section is so long and its kinda bleeding over in the next question so-
Something I wish will happen or would have wanted to happen in canon?:
yall if you are still reading I am so sorry sksk
I want Lilith in general, not to be forgiven by either Luz or Eda. Eda probably early on stating about how she is unsure if she could EVER forgive her sister for what she has done. BUT, critically, Eda would see that Lilith is trying and she is willing to work with her (with a unhelpful dose of teasing) because at the end of the day she still loves her sister. For the relationship they had before everything with south, for knowing her side of the story even though she believes it doesn’t justify her actions. She understands and sympathizes, she’s grown a bit softer thanks to Luz, which is very funny since I want Luz to be the one who is the hardest to convince Lilith actually had a change of heart but more on that later.
Before I move on to what I want her path towards forgiveness with Luz looks like, I want to bring up a parallel that I haven’t seen many people make. Fans always talk about the parallel between the Clawthornes and Luz/Amity, and rightly so because there is a lot to extrapolate there, but I think another interesting dynamic that might be interesting to see in s2 would be an episode that focuses on lost friendship/sisterhood with the Clawthornes and Amity and Willow. It’s kinda funny that Amity and Willow’s friendship was ruined because Willow was too “weak” while Eda was too “powerful”. In a potential episode, it can show the progression both Eda/Lilith and Willow/Amity are making in rekindling their relationship with each other. For Eda and Lilith this would be a lot more rough around the edges since it both be either the first or one of the first attempts at doing so while Willow/Amity would maybe be further along yet still have some major/minor hang ups with one another. With Willow/Amity, their relationship would either be rounding the bend of fully moving past the “idk how to feel about you stage” or it is stated outright that Willow forgives Amity, (and by forgive, I mean in the “we both know what you did, you’ve actually changed. we won’t have the same relationship that we once had but I’m okay with trying again”). In contrast, Lilith and Eda would reach a understanding and come up with some ground rules on how to handle each other (Eda’s main take away from this “episode” would be what I previously stated in the last question), ones that will be more like guidelines cuz its Eda lol. Also what separates the Clawthornes conflict from the Willow/Amity one (besides the obvious) is that the Clawthornes both know how the other works. Which buttons to push and all that so both of them are going to have to learn to resist doing that, at least a bit, in order to actually progress.
ANYWAYS, I also want Luz to be the one to regard Lilith the coldest. Luz refusing to let Lilith teach her anything despite probably having more practical/book smarts knowledge on magic theory than Eda because she doesn’t trust her. If they are gonna use that masked dude as a spy, I want Luz to assume Lilith is somehow a coconspirator. This plot thread doesn’t have to be going at 100% the whole time, (in fact I would want it to be a temp thing maybe lasting a couple eps at most or like, just something that is hinted at but not dived deeply until the second half of the season). Really, Lilith has a hard time because Luz straight up doesn’t give her the opportunity to really express her regret/remorse. Lilith probably won’t at first give her a ton of reasons to forgive her as she usually attempts at coming back at Luz’s snide remarks with her own quippy comebacks. Sksk a really angsty end to an attempt could include Lilith saying something to Luz after going on a small talk with her (where yeah Lilith has improved but still needs noticeable work) that she “reminds her a lot of Eda” and Luz bites back with something like “Oh yeah? You going to curse me too? You want another person you can force to do what YOU want?”.
Hell maybe “parental problems” could have Lilith poke at, either on purpose or accidentally, Luz’s feelings about going back to the human world and Camila. Lilith reminding her, maybe unknowingly, reminds her a lot of her mom and that causes her to blow up on her. Luz would hate that comparison, thinking about how similar her mom and Lilith are to one another. That because she still has such a strong dislike of Lilith, it bleeds over into how Luz views Camila and vice versa. In that, both Camila and Lilith value respect, an adherence to the rules, have a great sense of wisdom (arguably for Lilith lol /hj), and (eventually for Lilith once she gets to know Luz better) a genuine want for Luz to succeed and belief in her even though they are critical of her actions at times. Sure Eda reminds her of that more, motherly protective kind of love, in which she would do anything for her to be happy and healthy. Lilith can be the other side of that, the worry and slight doubt. That familiar way they each go about trying to understand and get close to Luz yet not quite getting it yet would still do whatever she’d ask for her sake. Luz at first would take Lilith being disappointed in her actions as an accomplishment. As they grow closer and the more Lilith reminds her of her mom, it becomes scary. The disappointment hurts and in an effort not to feel like that again and to not want to think about the comparison between Lilith and her mother she will snap back at her. Eventually Lilith would then have to change again and reassure her that she cares and by extent, her mother cares to. It is here Lilith is willing to let go of being so constantly controlling and learns to encourage first (or do some form of the compliment sandwich) and Luz comes to peace with her feelings about her mother and understands her position better. To be able to love herself even if she knows that she will always try to do her best.
oh my fucking god you made it im so sorry i guess i had a lot of thoughts. fffffff

HOW $#@! DO I READ NEW AVENGERS?
New Avengers (Vol. 1) is one of the most recommended Avengers runs by me and it’s a classic. Great, so how do I read it? Not by picking up the first issue and hoping for the best, that’s for sure. To get it, you have to know the context behind Avengers Disassembled and the House of M, and it’s a good idea to maybe read Young Avengers v1 too, and when you finally start reading actual New Avengers run then you get to Civil War and things get… confusing. (This is going to be a long post).
SO! Welcome to the biggest cluster of events in Marvel U history! It’s also my fave.
(see also: totally subjective intro to avengers comics)
Most of it is a brainchild of Brian Michael Bendis – now, to be a proper Comics Fan™ you need to be aware of the Bendis Discourse. My good friend Brian here is the definition of a Problematic Fave; he has written a good chunk of my favorite comics ever – he’s also written some of the worst. Now, I’d argue that his New Avengers era (running impressively from 2005 to 2012) is his Peak moment and one of the best creative moments in Marvel’s history. But it’s a fuckton of comics.
First in the NA run comes Civil War – the original limited series written by Mark Millar is probably one of the most controversial Marvel comics to be published (up until last year’s Secret Empire but we don’t talk about that). It’s, well. For starters, it’s not great for the characterization of all involved. Then there’s the issue that it seems not a single editor was involved in publishing this comic (is Matt Murdock in jail or prowling the streets? Who the fuck knows!! Certainly not the author). It’s aggressive. It’s over the top. It’s very Millar.
But Civil War is undeniably one of the most iconic storylines in modern comics. And while the original series is, let’s say, problematic, some of the tie-ins and aftermath issues are good. Plus, Civil War practically singlehandedly birthed the SteveTony fandom into existence. What can I say, I’m biased.
Once upon a time in my younger and more foolish ways, I decided to read the entirety of Civil War, spanning over 100 comics total, over the course of one summer month. I came back from this experience aged with wisdom to obliterate Bad Discourse with my encyclopedic knowledge of all relevant panels and to tell you which Civil War comics you should read for best experience. Honestly, no regrets (well, maybe except Moon Knight. I regret reading that a little).
Mind that this is a completely subjective selection. Also, seeing as Civil War spans over one-fucking-hundred comics I didn’t list all that are worth reading – just those that are most relevant to the story. It’s still a Lot.
BEHOLD – CIVIL WAR!
Prelude
- The New Avengers Illuminati v1 #1 (one-shot)
- Amazing Spider-man v2 #529-531
- Civil War #1
- Amazing Spider-man v2 #532
- Civil War Frontline #11
1 CW Frontline is great. It’s also 11-issues long. If you’re not intimidated by the sheer number of comics to read, I really recommend it. If you’d rather cut the unnecessary comics out of your diet you can skip it on first reading, though I recommend you go back to it someday – it guarantees to make you look at certain players in Civil War through whole different eyes.
- Civil War #2
- Civil War Frontline #21
- Civil War Frontline #31
- Amazing Spider-man v2 #533
- New Avengers v1 #21
- Civil War #3
- New Avengers v1 #22
- New Avengers v1 #23
- Black Panther v4 #182
2 The real wedding of the century! It’s not really all that important in the grand scheme of things but I included it because it’s just one issue and really, it’s iconic. Definitely worth the read.
- Civil War Frontline #41
- Civil War Frontline #51
- Amazing Spider-Man v2 #534
- Civil War #4
- Amazing Spider-Man v2 #535
- Civil War Frontline #61
- Civil War Frontline #71
- New Avengers #243
3 You can skip it, really.
- Civil War #5
- New Avengers v1 #25
- Iron Man v4 #13
- Iron Man v4 #14
- Amazing Spider-Man V2 #536
- Civil War Frontline #81
- Civil War Frontline #91
- Iron Man/Captain America: Casualties of War
- Civil War #6
- Civil War Frontline #101
- Amazing Spider-man v2 #537
- Civil War #7
- Amazing Spider-man v2 #538
- Civil War Frontline #111
- Captain America v5 #254
4 It’s part of the Brubaker’s run on Cap, which means it’ll probably throw you on a few occasions since you don’t have the full context. Still, you should read it, it’s important; besides, not knowing what tf is going on is just part of the Comics Experience.
- Civil War The Confession
The Aftermath
- What If – Civil War
- Fallen Son: Death of Captain America
- Iron Man Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. (IM Vol. 4)5
5 Do you like TEARS and PAIN and some BODY HORROR? This run is for you. You don’t really need to read it right after CW; it’s acts pretty good as a standalone and you can always go back to it later. But I really recommend you do – it’s some of the best comics there are.
- Captain America Vol. 54
4 Ah, the (in)famous Brubaker Cap! Some love it, some hate it. I have to say, it’s one of my favorite runs, period. It’s epic-length so I don’t recommend you dive into it right this second, but you should go back to it sometime – it will give you some further insight to the NA era and it’s just good storytelling. (There is some misogynistic bs to beware of, but honestly, that’s like token warning for all comics).
So you’re done with Civil War! Time for a breather, right? Wrong. Marvel has another event in store for you and this one is probably my most favorite of all.
BEHOLD – SECRET INVASION!
When you’re done with Civil War’s aftermath, you can continue reading NA up until you hit
- New Avengers v1 #37
then you proceed to
- New Avengers Annual #2
in which Brian wraps-up his pre-SI storyline and the next issue after that begins
Prelude: The Infiltration
- New Avengers v1 #38
- Mighty Avengers #7
- New Avengers Illuminati v2 #1-#56
6 You don’t really have to read all of them, but I recommend you do. If you recommend I shove it, read at least #1 and #5, as the events in these will be brought up again and again.
- New Avengers v1 #39
SECRET INVASION
- Mighty Avengers v1 #127
7 Mighty Avengers are great for further insight into SI! But you don’t really need them. You can always go back to those later.
- New Avengers v1 #40
- Secret Invasion #1
- New Avengers v1 #41
- Mighty Avengers v1 #137
- Secret Invasion #2
- New Avengers v1 #42
- Mighty Avengers v1 #147
- Secret Invasion #3
- New Avengers v1 #43
- Mighty Avengers v1 #157
- Secret Invasion #4
- New Avengers v1 #44
- Mighty Avengers v1 #167
- Secret Invasion #5
- New Avengers v1 #45
- Mighty Avengers v1 #177
- Secret Invasion #6
- New Avengers v1 #46
- Mighty Avengers v1 #187
- Secret Invasion #7
- New Avengers v1 #47
- Secret Invasion #8
The Aftermath
- Mighty Avengers v1 #20
We’re saying good-bye to Secret Invasion with MA #20 and moving up to an even darker period in Marvel’s history
BEHOLD – DARK REIGN!
Now, Dark Reign isn’t considered an event per se, because Marvel just advertised it as “The New World Order” (see how long that sticks). But I’m still gonna treat it as one, since it’s hard understanding just what tf is going on if you don’t have some background reading.
- Dark Reign The Goblin Legacy8
8 This is not as much as a new comic but a reprint of some older comics that give you much-needed background on Norman Osborn/Green Goblin. Don’t get discouraged by the silly Silver Age-ness – the comics are the product of their time and anyway, this is basically required reading.
- Secret Invasion Dark Reign9
9 Not a required reading but an entertaining behind-the-scenes look. Definitely recommended.
- Dark Avengers10
10 Okay, again, not required but so much fun. If you like asshole antiheroes and more in-depth look at Norman Osborn’s twisted shenanigans you will really enjoy this book. And Victoria Hand is everything. (If you decide to read it right now, I recommend you read NA up to Siege and then read all of DA up to Siege too).
- Dark Reign New Avengers: The Reunion
- Invincible Iron man: World’s Most Wanted (IIM v1 #8-19)11
11 Cool concept, uneven execution, cool characters, uneven characterization – Fraction’s IIM in a nutshell. Plus, Larroca’s ugly-ass art. I have sentiment for this arc but admittedly, you can probably go back to it later.
- New Avengers v1 #60
after which you should read
- New Avengers v1 Annual #3
which leads you up to
SIEGE!
Maybe I’m biased but Siege is a pretty lukewarm event. Still, you need it, so I’m going to give you bare required reading.
Prelude
There’s like… 15? Thor issues leading up to Siege but they’re boring and I didn’t read all of them so you can skip them too.
- Captain America: Reborn12
12 I don’t really think you should read it without reading Brubaker’s Cap first or you’ll be very confused. All you need to know is Steve is back! And you can read up on everything leading up to that in CA v5 later.
- Invincible Iron Man: Stark Disassembled (IIM v1 #20-24)13
13 Fraction is back at it again! And just like before, you can probably get back to it later. Still, I dig the whole Disassembled concept.
SIEGE
- Siege #1
- Dark Avengers #1314
14 only if you decide to read the series
- New Avengers #61
- Siege #2
- Dark Avengers #1414
- New Avengers #62
- Siege #3
- Dark Avengers #1514
- New Avengers #63
- New Avengers #64
- Siege #4
- Dark Avengers #1614
The Epilogue
- The Sentry: Fallen Sun
- New Avengers: Finale
Aaaand that’s that! Wow, you read a fucking load of comics. Get back to me when you want to devour even more.
NEXT STOP – HEROIC AGE!

Random and perhaps specific question, if there were to be, hypothetically an acc made specifically to reblog mcyt fanart to the point it can balance the like:reblog ratio, do you think this is a good idea? I'd like to know your thoughts and maybe suggestions
In general, making a sideblog to reblog mcyt things, especially fanart, is a great idea! It allows you to seperate things from your main blog and reblog as much as you want without worrying about spamming people, and hey, some people might even follow for exactly that!
As for the like/reblog ratio: Obviously when you reblog something, you improve the ratio a little bit (the more notes, the tinier the improvement, given you also leave a like. If you don't leave a like out of principle, I guess you theoretically move the ratio a little more (mathematically speaking), but not because it 'actually' moved or because more people 'actually' saw it, it just gets one note less.)
It's obviously still a good thing to do! It helps spread the post, and hey, one of your followers might reblog the post and get it going even further!
I'm not sure what you mean with "to the point it can balance the like/reblog ratio". One single blog simply cannot do that. Even if you spam reblog, the ratio might LOOK better, but same with reblogging without leaving a like: The ratio looking a little better doesn't always mean more people saw it. In fact, theoretically, a blog that spams reblogs until there's as many as there are likes (if that were even manually possible, although that would probably need a bot or something) probably wouldn't have almost any people following that blog because of the spam they'd have to scroll through.
One reblog is all that one sideblog can *usefully* do, other than maybe reblog once every few days perhaps over different timezones. Although this, again, wouldn't be enough to "fully" balance the ratio.
And since I've started writing this marvelous essay already and you've got my going, dear anon, I have something else to say that's on my mind that I feel like a lot of people miss (although isn't directed at you specifically, I just feel like this is a good post to talk about it):
A lot of people on tumblr yell for reblogs, and they're right for the most part! This site lives on reblogs. I recently learned how to quick reblog on desktop (Hold down "e" and hover over the rb button of a post), and I reblog as much as I can. Reblogging things you like is crucial to this site.
That being said...
given each user that reblogs the post also leaves a like (as I said before, not doing that *technically* improves the ratio, but doesn't *actually* show it to more people, making the like/reblog ratio statistically inaccurate),
given every user that normally would've simply left a like and moved on,
-because it doesn't fit their blog theme, -because they've already reblogged dozens of posts that day, -because while they agree with a controversial post don't want to shove it at their followers just trying to vibe, -because it's a theme more adult-leaning than their typical content and the content they're comfortable showing their followers,
reblogs the post instead,
is a situation in which the like/reblog ratio would be "balanced", but is not realistic.
Because the above reasons exist. We can't ignore them. It could destroy specific, trigger-free spaces, spaces for minors, blogs with themes entirely and blogs that insist on a positive atmosphere meant to relax rather than start things.
A blog that posts and reblogs exclusively pictures of frogs reblogging a fanart of a minecraft youtuber would maybe lose a couple followers and the people following that blog would only be very marginally interested in it. Which is, again, where sideblogs come in: If the person running the frog blog likes mcyt that much, they'd probably consider making a sideblog. But we can't force people to make sideblogs, so assuming we do NOT ignore the reasons stated above for not reblogging, let's present a more realistic situation:
given every user that likes the post in some capacity but does not plan or personally does not want to reblog it instead ignores the like function and does not give a like,
then the same post would have... less notes. Yep. That's it. That's all that would change, really. The like/reblog ratio would be "perfect", but like... the post would have less notes.
The only time where the "reblog things!" is relevant is when people who WANT and are WILLING to reblog a post do not do so for a reason that is AVOIDABLE, such as:
"Im scared people will think Im cringe/this isnt the content my blog is made for/I dont want to show this to my followers for whatever reason, but i still want to support this interest of mine" (make a sideblog),
"reblogging takes too long" (learn to quick reblog. Side note, though: as someone with high depression times, yes, even reblogging can sometimes feel mentally exhausting. Obviously your mental health always comes first, and quick-reblogging does not allow you to add trigger or content warning tags, should you use those for your blog.),
"reblogging isnt that important, it won't matter" (YES, IT IS. YES, IT WILL),
or anything else within reason.
And like, I GET it. People want to boil down the message as simple as possible so that people understand it while scrolling by at 80 mph, which is "REBLOG THINGS", in hopes to reach the people that don't reblog for one of the reasons stated above.
But like, if people that can't/won't reblog a post anyway for one reason or another, and never plan to, just stop using the like function alltogether- we'd have a perfect like/reblog ratio, but just like... less notes on posts.
What people need to understand is that *only reblogs truly help in spreading a post and likes don't do anything other than add a note*, which is valuable and important information, especially people who come here from other sites where the like works differently. I put "likes" on a lot of posts that dive very heavily into drama or criticize ccs (even if I half agree, although most times I just don't know enough to know whether that's even a good take or not). I reblog them only when I think that *my followers would in some way benefit from seeing that post*.
Even if we're on the topic of fanart: Some fanart needs a hell ton of trigger tags, some I vaguely think looks okay but is from a cc or character that I literally know nothing about nor have ever seen and that nobody follows me for, but I still want to add a note.
Where I'm going with this is that, like, we're never gonna have a "perfect" 1:1 like/reblog ratio? It's literally impossible, unless people want to get less notes on their posts alltogether, and I don't see the point in that, personally. Likes may not do much, they really only do a little compared to reblogs, but sometimes people just... want to do a little.
TLDR: We just have to tell people likes work differently here than on other sites, and that reblogs are important and have a much greater effect on the post, and that likes work differently.
This system isn't designed to have its ideal state be a 1:1 ratio: It's designed to have an option of giving only a little and much more covert support to a post if you happen to not want to reblog it for some reason.

But the best idea is for the line to step it up this fall. The season rides on it to a large degree. \n Darnold, never sacked and barely pressured, threw for 453 yards and four touchdowns in rallying the Trojans to a 52-49 victory. \n The Lions, 11-3 last season, didnt record a sack in their losses to Pitt and Michigan, either, and seven of the 40 they had during the season came in the opener against Kent State. http://www.scout.com/college/penn-state/story/1772428-the-blue-white-gam... \n They have also seen both of last years starting defensive ends, Garrett Sickels and Evan Schwan, move on. \n Obviously, then, one of the bigger questions facing the team as spring practice winds down is whether the pass rush can improve, as it will have a considerable impact on whether the Lions can take another step forward as a defense and a team this fall. \n Redshirt junior defensive end Torrence Brown , naturally, believes it will be better that, in fact, he and his linemates are improving every day while jousting with an offensive line that has the potential to be very good. \n If we keep competing with those guys to the best of our abilities, he said during a conference call with reporters earlier this week, it will translate to the games and well be a great pass-rushing line this year. \n There are reasons to believe him, beginning with the fact that the unit is coached well, by coordinator Brent Pry and line boss Sean Spencer. \n Pry is in his second year in his current post, and Brown believes the group has exhibited 10 times more confidence this spring. \n A lot of players are playing with more confidence this year, he said, including myself. \n Spencer, who long ago dubbed his group the Wild Dogs, is in Browns estimation kind of crazy. He stopped short of offering examples, however. \n He does a lot of crazy stuff, Brown said. And he has seen several guys flashing potential during spring drills, which culminate with Saturdays Blue-White Game. \n Miller, for example, had matured a lot after recording two sacks as a reserve last season, both against Kent State. \n I think hes going to surprise a lot of people, Brown said. \n So too might ends Shane Simmons and Shaka Toney , both of whom redshirted last season.
