back on my hunt for a smart watch that meets my very specific needs. forgot reddit exists last time. now it is giving me the best leads i have had yet.

#im looking for something with maps.#that is it thats my 1 requirement.#i have no phone. i have no phone service.#i can afford a 1 time payment for a watch i cannot afford multiple months of phone service #and i want to go on walks and not get hopelessly lost #i am SO EASILY DISORIENTED #i just wanna be able to wander around my neighborhood and then open up my watch if i cant find my way home and have it tell me where i need #to go. and thats not what most ppl are looking for at all so info is Rocky to say the least.

One among many things I love about Dragons Risings writing is that they're so unapologetic about making the original team very cool, but also absolute dorks.

It's just kinda refreshing to me? Like, yeah, sure, Lloyd's the super-awesome Green Ninja who's a descendant of God, Kai could set the world on fire if he wanted, Nya does not hesitate and was the ocean that one time, Zane will casually mention the most insane shit he did on a whim, Cole has a lava and rock monster form, etc, but like...they're also losers. Lloyd gets bullied constantly and tries to explain what a crab is, Kai has so much intelligence but so little wisdom at all given times, Nya has a 'shit happens' attitude as if she is not actively failing through this shit happening, Zane talks to a broom with Pixal's face on it, and Cole has it together the most by being a 9-to-5 dad with a boyfriend who he 100% believed was his power crux.

They're just people, y'know? Saving the world a hundred times over doesn't mean they're not still 20-something nerds who've been stuck doing this since they were teenagers. One cannot erase the time they had bad boy doppelgangers for like two minutes. Or had to raise their teacher. Or had the weirdest relationship drama. Or were huge video game and tech geeks.

And Dragons Rising isn't afraid to let them be that. To acknowledge, yeah, objectively, they're cool as hell, but to also admit that they're just kinda fucking around and finding out. It's a wonder what consistent and likeable characterization can do, who woulda thought?

#and i feel like im going insane trying ti map out the full extent of the transmisogyny of it all #when i tried to help him with the frustrations he was having with his friend and defended the friend even slightly #he accused me of talking like the friend was my actual boyfriend and told me to go run away with him #when he broke a fuck ton of glass in our bathroom his clean up was even more half assed than usual cause of the state he was in #so even as he apologized to me and called his behaviour abuse and used all the right words #it was still me cleaning up after his abuse literally with a broom and mop #i still freak out at rhe very idea of broken glass and i know that trigger isnt going away anytime soon #and i still didnt leave after that #then him and his friend took so many of my words out of context to essentially accuse me of emotional cheating with people on here #and i cant think about that conversation without thinking about how yall on here have talked about abusers using cheating accusations #and when we finally broke uo he couldnt help but keep giving me permission for things #permission to throw something of his in a lake #permission to let my friends talk shit and be mean #but then when i had something mean to say afterwards and he saw it by checking my blog #he punished me for it by doing everything he could tk scare thr shit out of me #cause even as we were broken uo he hadnt given me permission to talk shit #only to listen to my friends #and even after all that him and his friend still expected that i would share my car and weed for them to use #and i still did with the car cause im either wonderful for dumb as hell #probably both #then after all that his friend cut me off as a friend using the fact that i had asked him why he was refusing to even look at me and if we #were cool to say i was demanding and pushing him and not respecting his boundaries #he used me asking why i was being treated as a pariah to justify treating me as a pariah #after all i had refused to still be a punching bag #i stopped buying him weed #so it was time for me to be disposed of #and even as they disposed of me they still expected me to live in that house for another fucking month with them #i was used and disposed of by two of the people i was closest with #one of whom i would have married eventually if he hadnt pushed it over the edge

I've got too many games I want to play and not enough free time 😭 I still need to finish my BG3 playthrough but since Endless Ocean: Luminous came out I've been playing a lot of that instead. Also just got back into Wizard101 last night. Started playing House Flipper again last weekend. Still need to finish BOTW so I can start a TOTK playthrough and finish Pokemon Shield so I can start on Pokemon Violet. I've been fighting off the urge to start up a new Skyrim playthrough for weeks. My brother just told me that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is getting ported to the Switch. And now I'm suddenly feeling inspired to replay DAI... And throughout all of this I'm also playing the hell out of DragonVale on my phone. Someone just pay me to play video games all day please
