sometimes i think about how grateful i am to be known by people. i think when i was younger i was so cold to the world and content in the corner i'd burrowed myself into, but now im twenty five and i cannot imagine a version of myself that is not growing and reaching out to people around me like vines wildly climbing out of a pot. like im still learning to trust myself in others hands, but i love the way people say my name and respond to my messages and how i leech off the smiles of the people i love like its sunlight to me
