you know.... not to pat myself on the back or anything but like, there's something so heartbreakingly tragic about a devout catholic being turned into a vampire, suddenly they can't pray, go to mass, wear their crucifix or keep crosses in their house

as someone with a catholic father, whose faith brings him great comfort, for someone to be denied access to that comfort is truly deliciously heartbreaking

Miguel, Santiago, whatever the fuck name i land on, he is real fucking tragic, to lose his biological parents before he even knows them, to have his aunt and uncle, his adoptive parents, brutally murdered in front of him, and then killing their killer, he's been through a lot, then he has his one source of comfort ripped away from him, seemingly out of nowhere...... ooooohoohoohoo yum yum tasty
