Addressing @/slut-strut-satan
blocked by OP of course so I will post my response here thanks to @shoutydwarf for the reblog!
I'm the user OP is talking about and let me start off by saying as an abuse survivor myself, it is very problematic the implication that I am somehow engaging in any form of victim apologism and/or attacking an abuse victim as that is not ever something I would actively engage in privately or otherwise.
With that being said, the reason why the egg allergist community exists is specifically because of fans like OP, a self-appointed judge and jury who spends their entire 24 hours a day outright attacking, harassing and muzzling anyone who even so much as says anything slightly negative about a fictional character that they personally enjoy and have put their entire personality into defending online. Whew I wish black female characters had shooters like this... anyhow
OP has engaged in very problematic and racist behavior in the not so distant past and still today, that is likely why they deactivated their previous account where they spent their time being a pretty gross person in defense of a fictional white male character in just the screenshot below alone they implied that:
vivienne, a black woman, is a facist.. imagine calling a BLACK WOMAN a fascist because they think she actively put mages into concentration camps when no such thing happens if she is made divine--in fact morrigan says in the inquisition ending should she be made divine that mages flourish under her rule. She never even says that is something she will do anyway.
calling qunari and by extension the qun fascist when they are the only black/brown coded race... many forget this but gaider did refer to the qunari in the past as a "militant islamic borg" and OP just repeats that extremely islamaphobic rhetoric and anyone saying anything against that very problematic rhetoric is supporting fascism for some reason???

All in all, OP is not a good person and the way they hide behind buzzwords and specific types of rhetoric to trigger others all in defense of a white male character should very much illuminate that they are someone who does not actually care about abuse, racism, fascism etc because they only care about it when it is to defend a fictional white man against a few people who are even just mildly critical him in VERY SMALL invite only communities.
#spending your entire time attacking people because they happen to not care about or even be slightly critical of a white man???#is there where we are headed here???#and mind you in our previous interactions I have been very polite to them more that is warranted and you can see that in our community#interactions#if you actually care about abuse victims how about you spend that time helping real people instead of using it as a spring board to protect#a bald white man maybe?#anyway#tw: racism#tw: islamaphobia

AS SAID BY JASON TODD/ROBIN/RED HOOD * assorted dialogue from multiple dc universe sources, adjust as necessary
i did it once for dramatic effect and it just got to be a habit.
you can't tell, but i'm dozing off under this mask.
a whole night in paris... and i managed to not kill anyone. not bad.
you made the same mistake everyone does when it comes to me.
i want to warn them... but i know i can't.
don't know, don't care. i got my hands full.
do you remember the last time we were together?
looks like you guys could use a hand!
i'm looking for someone.
i'm afraid it's about to get much worse.
the angry, reckless vigilante bit is my thing.
i'm not good or bad. i'm just practical as hell.
you and i are more alike than you realize.
i get it. starting over is scary as hell.
i don't even need to turn around to know that's you.
thanks for thinking of me. i'm happy to help. honored, even.
i generally have several madness-inducing hallucinations before breakfast.
nothing in the real world can be as frightening as what we can imagine... right?
you don't think i understand what it's like to be abandoned? forgotten?
i'll be damed if my best friend is going to die... because he was dumb enough to trust me.
i'm sorry. i'm never going to be the hero you want me to be.
next time i see you, i'm going to kick your butt for this dying crap.
you have ten seconds to walk way. nine... oh, screw it.
there are better ways to spend your energy.
that looks like it's gotta hurt. well, i say that like i'm speculating or something. i know it hurts.
we chose to be a family.
if there's hope for us... there's hope for everyone.
you still haven't figured it out?
life's just a game... and this time, you lose.
i seem to have made myself an enemy of all the bad guys.
it's too late. you had your chance.
i'm just getting started.
hard to forget that night, huh?
in a way, this was the site of your first great failure.
ah... memories.
you can't stop crime. that's what you never understood.
you want to rule them by fear, but what do you do to those who aren't afraid?
i'm doing what you won't.
i'm taking them out.
now tell me... how does it feel?
is that what you think this is about?
i don't know what clouds your judgement worse. your guilt or your antiquated sense of morality.
i forgive you for not saving me.
he took me away from you.
i am no one's son.
what do you think this was all about?
welcome to planet earth, baby.
fear isn't the answer.
you son of a bitch.
we were friends, helping each other pick up the pieces of our lives.
it might not be a popular thought, but not everyone wants to be alive.
can you hear it?
funny, i actually escaped death.
the past keeps dragging me back.
they're not monsters. they're victims of programming, abuse, and trauma.
they can change.
fact is, they're just like us.
we became something else.
you hurt a lot of people.
we don't discriminate here.
sometimes you don't know what you want 'til you learn what you don't.
trust? you? i'll give it a try. but i'll tell you right now, i'm probably going to screw it up.
guys like us? the life we lead? we're never truly alone.
i have no idea who you people are.
you pompous ass.
before i kill you, i want the truth.
i'd like to think i'm an open-minded guy.
sure it was fun. but does that mean it was right?
sometimes i wonder if i'm just part of the problem.
i'm not doing one more damn mission with them unless you get me someone i can trust to watch my back.
knew you couldn't do it.
it's official. class is in session.

Endeavor Deserves No Sympathy!
I don't understand how anyone can think Endeavor was ever a good dad. It also always comes off as incredibly victim blamie, especially towards Touya, and often Shoto too.
He literally only got married and had kids to use them. He never gave a shit about their well being, never even thought about it until he had the one thing he cared about and was still miserable. I've already gone over the math proving he gave up on achieving his dream himself at 21 at the absolute latest. (https://www.tumblr.com/arceus-insanity/763259515356512256/i-liked-endeavors-character-when-he-was?source=share)
And basic math will once again be used to prove just how little this waste of flesh actually tries.
This time the focus is on how quickly he abandoned Touya and immediately went to emotional abuse via neglect & literally replacing him, and once again risking that more children be born with self-destructive quirks.
For context we only see Endeavor doing anything with his kids that's not him literally walking through and ignoring them in two circumstances. Once when Fuyumi's a newborn and Touya is attempting to crawl (not walk) over to her. And training. Those are the only times he tries to spend with any of them, even after he starts his 'atonement'
Now comparing Touya in the scene of them training and himself as a toddler and all the child imagery this series loves to use instead of actually saving imperfect victims, Touya is at least 3 (probably closer to 4) when he's taken to the doctor and they are informed of his condition
Natsuo is 4 and a half years younger than him.
We know for a fact Natsuo (& Shoto) was conceived after they got the news, not willingly either. Pregnancy takes 40 weeks average, so Touya would still be 3 when Natsuo was conceived. So once again it took this 'man' less than a year to give up and have another child he hoped to use as a tool, and was explicitly making to hurt his existing son. And as I have said plenty of times before, risking that the new kids could be born with the same disorder, I hate how convenient it is that Shoto gets near zero negative quirk side effects.
Want to know what we never see, Endeavor doing something else with Touya and Touya demanding training, it's always him walking past/ away from Touya. Considering all of the shit they've pulled to soften Endeavor's abuse both in the manga and even more so in the anime, they wouldn't skip something like this. It's not hard to tell that Touya's 'obsession with training' is really about spending time with his dad, you know like a human child that literally needs love, proven by numerous studies and research in the real world.
He throws all parenting responsibilities onto Rei, adds more children to that load, and when Touya suffers for it (like everyone else) he does nothing, doesn't even hire a nanny
Another are you kidding me take I've seen is that somehow Touya's quirk issues are worse than Midoriya's and Yuga's. Touya managed to train his quirk to produce blue fire at 13 with zero equipment and less than no help, and only lost control of it, because of the mental abuse Endeavor had inflicted on him leading him to a mental breakdown. And/ or the theory I've only seen once of AFO using his ability to force quirk activation (seen with a passed out chapter 90 during his first confrontation with All Might)
Midoriya was breaking his bones all the way into the Shie Hassaikai arc and was only able to fight because Eri and was breaking support equipment in the following arc as well. Yuga had a support belt all the way back in the entrance exam and was still struggling with that.
Speaking of Yuga let's compare parental effort here, because as much as it backfired Yuga's parents tried a whole lot more. For starters they nearly bankrupted themselves to get him a quirk, so he could feel equal. All For One is a mythic man prior to his arrest, and those who knew of him were shown to be serious long-term villain groups, so they had gone to quite a bit of effort to find that he existed to begin with. They also got him support gear (the navel belt thing) as a kid to help him with said quirk, he literally had it in the entrance exam. Endeavor never looked into that, Endeavor is not only rich too but he's a top hero he would have direct access to support equipment companies that would jump at the opportunity and it never even occurred to him.
Endeavor's name is an irony as endeavour means to try hard to do or achieve something. He never tries hard he gives up incredibly quickly the second there's any road block, but instead of moving on he makes everyone suffer for it. He's a toxic pageant mom who'd rather force their child into a toxic world and a role they don't want than work on himself
And what finally makes him change? Getting exactly what he wanted and still being miserable, and he still expects through his actions his family to cater to him.
Not his son getting a major disability due to his actions, no, he decided to double down, mentally abusing and neglecting the son he supposedly loves, raping his wife who didn't want more kids or participate in this abuse, and again risking that Natsuo & later Shoto might have that same issue. Not when his wife breaks down and permanently scars his precious masterpiece, who proceeds to rightfully blame him, and he just thinks of it as a tantrum despite it lasting a fucking decade. Not when his eldest literally dies as the result of his selfishness. Not literally during any part of this entire process!
Dabi is 23 when Endeavor finally starts to 'try' to be better, that means that for at least 24 years he has only been caring about his fucking precious number one spot in a popularity contest that he couldn't even bother to try to be likeable for, this wasn't one bad decision, this was him constantly choosing to be so insanely selfish that he found ways that shouldn't even be possible for over two decades. And it was all him.

TW: Discussion of CSA
I'm Sick of This Shit
Sorry Mod, this is off-topic and heavy stuff, but I'm fucking sick of this cutesy little internet trend of insinuating the worst about people over fucking nothing. This is going to get heavy but I'm not sitting down and shutting the fuck up this time.
Please put a read more here? I don't want to trigger anyone, I just want to try and give a wake-up call to people who do this shit.
I cannot believe I just read a callout post for someone as a "dangerous individual" and it's about them drawing some fictional character. Or rather, I can, because it keeps happening, and it's the dumbest new trend I've ever seen. As a victim of that specific kind of abuse? As in, someone who's fucking tapes have a hash in the ICAC database? (Do you even know what that means? Do you even care to find out? Do you actually care about victims or do you just want some moral gotcha over the person you don't like? Because I have a feeling it's the second one!) Someone who's been really fucking impacted and harmed by this shit in my actual flesh-and-blood real life?
Shut the fuck up. No, actively, antagonistically fuck you. How fucking dare you equate the seriousness of my and others' real-life physical harm to someone finding some stupid WORTHLESS, UNIMPORTANT, NOT REAL ANIME CHARACTER HOT. Who in the absolute fuck actually sincerely CARES?? Do you think authors who write about murder want to secretly kill people?? Do you think people who make horror movies can contact the dead? You are so obsessed about thought crimes and unimportant bullshit to the degree that you are accusing people of being the absolute worst type of person over anime. OVER ANIME! Who the fuck cares if someone draws a fake person doing something sexual. I, as a victim, do not give a shit. I don't care if they draw a fake person getting dismembered. I don't care if they write about a fake person being subjected to death by 1000 paper-cuts! Do you know why?
They're not fucking real!
Somewhere along the way people seem to have forgotten that the reason abuse is bad isn't because it's "icky" and "gross" and makes you uncomfortable to think about.
It's bad because it's fucking hurtful to people who are actually really alive. It's bad because if you cut a real person we fucking bleed. It's bad because if you do things to our body, it leaves fucking SCARS. It's bad because WE LIVE WITH THE FUCKING TRAUMA AND CONSEQUENCES OF WHAT IS DONE TO US YOU STUPID EMOTIONALLY BEREFT ASSHOLE, YOU FUCKING MORALLY STUNTED BRAT. DO YOU FUCKING COMPREHEND THAT? DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE THE CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REAL LIFE AND FICTION? LIKE DO YOU? ARE YOU AN ACTUAL CHILD? BECAUSE IF SO, YOU SHOULD NOT BE ENGAGING IN THESE DISCUSSIONS IN THE FIRST PLACE! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU??? AND IF YOU ARE AN ADULT, FUCKING ACT LIKE ONE. This isn't a slag against someone who does have empathy issues or anything like that- ironically they tend to have no problem differentiating real life from fiction crimes, at least in my experience. No no, this is against the specific type of person who willfully chooses to libel against someone because of what usually boils down to """fandom crimes."""
I am in a support group for people like me. Do you know what we bitch about lately? You motherfuckers. Clogging the actual fucking hotlines by reporting drawings of cartoon characters, do you even realize that there are real consequences to your moral crusade? The time these people are forced to spend deleting anime art from their email literally costs real-life children -- AGAIN, REAL PEOPLE BEING HURT, YOU FUCKS -- precious time from getting the help they so desperately fucking deserve. Do you even think before you act? Do you? Do you fucking consider for a moment the real-world consequences of your behavior, or do you just raise your head and preen over your moralistic victory against the nastybadwrong person that wrote a story you don't like? I hate you.
Sure. Maybe this person who was submitted about really is the scum of the earth, an absolutely toxic bastard of an individual who does deserve a callout post. Wouldn't surprise me, because lots of shitty people are out there. So then, if that's the case, how come you didn't present that proof? Because all I read (images didn't work) is that they drew some anime character horny. People have been doing that for decades. The fucking Disney animators have drawn Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse going at it. Who gives a shit. It's fiction. You are having a moral panic over nothing and blinding yourself to the real consequences of your actions and I am here on my hands and knees BEGGING you to have more concern for people who actually exist than you do for your stupid goddamn anime boy.
I actually HATE people like you, I actively fucking do not feel SAFE around people like you. People who create fictional works, even dark and fucked up ones? They generally know the differences you seem to miss: that thoughts and actions are different things. There was a post going around where some guy got thrashed on social media for getting a leg amputation for fetishistic reasons where he was called every name in the book and probably some new ones yet to be added to the Merriam-Webster's dictionary. Turns out he actually had cancer and the amputation was for medically necessary reasons, but one (1) minor looked at THE TYPE OF ART HE DREW and made assumptions about his whole entire character from that. And thus someone going through some incredibly emotionally challenging shit was forced to further stomach the trauma of an internet hate mob because of baseless accusations just like these. Don't fucking do that. That shouldn't even need to be said! And yet. So I'll say it again. Don't! Fucking! Do that! Fuck!
This is wildly out of the scope of this blog and I'm really sorry to Mod for having to see it, but I'm sick of seeing this everywhere online, I do not need it in my fucking safe space hobby. Actively go fuck yourself if you do this or participate in this. If you care about victims- if you have actual compassion for people who are real, and don't just want to control how others portray fictional characters for reasons of moral outrage, then don't do this. And if you've done this in the past, just... fucking try to do better from here on out, at least. The world is fucked up enough without needing to rip each other apart over, and I cannot stress this enough, goddamn cartoons.
And if I get sassed in the comments as "not a real victim" or some shit, go ahead. I've heard it before, I don't care. I've been told by people in my life that what happened to me was 1) a misunderstanding 2) deserved because I in some way asked for it 3) that I'm lying for attention, etc etc. Does not matter that mine was one of the cases that actually made it to court and resulted in a sentencing... victim-blaming is incredibly ingrained in my country's culture. I honestly don't care if I'm believed or not, I just... want to say my piece. I want to confess, to air my grievances, with a current trend everyone on the internet and this hell-site in specific. So, thank you for reading if you have, and fuck you if you dismissed it all because your precious fictional little meow meow matters more to you than the victims of the real-life atrocities you're so motivated baselessly to accuse people of perpetrating.
And mod, stay safe and practice self-care. To all the victims, I hope your abusers die horribly. You deserve the world.
~Anonymous
Mod: thank you so much anon for your response, nothing is out of scope here (kinda, I like tangents, just need to follow the rules too) so anons, don't be afraid of expressing yourself as you so rightly did here.

i have been trying and failing to make a well-worded post about the wild increase in ageism i've been seeing from people who claim to be progressive and anti-discrimination that appropriately extracts the issue from current politics in a way that will actually let people understand what i'm talking about without it getting mistaken for some kind of apologia but this is honestly bothering me so much i don't care anymore
calling every older or elderly person who is doing things you dislike "demented" or talking about how they must have "dementia" or be "sundowning" is ageism flat out, with a nice soupçon of ableism on top
the automatic assumption that dementia is just something that 'happens' to every elderly person is ageism (and also ableism) and also a very harmful and frightening stereotype
the lack of understanding of what dementia actually is and what it looks like, as opposed to other neurodegenerative disorders and disorders that can cause cognitive decline or cognitive disruption as symptoms, is actively harmful
the people this harms are not the wealthy and privileged people who are doing the things you dislike
the people this harms are regular people who not only have to deal with an extremely youth-focused culture, widespread age-based discrimination, and widespread ableism but also the stereotype that every elderly person who doesn't speak with the clarity, diction, and humorlessness of a news anchor must be demented
the old lady who is being forced out of her home so her children can sell it and profit off the house she's lived for most of her life because they're saying she's got "dementia" and needs to be institutionalized is a victim of elder abuse enabled by this stereotype
the old man with a uti who starts having cognitive disruption caused by the infection and ends up getting misdiagnosed and foisted off into a skilled nursing facility where no one notices that the infection's reached his kidneys until he's actively septic and dying is a victim of medical malpractice enabled by this stereotype
the old lady who starts slurring her speech and having difficulty remembering isn't demented she's had a fucking stroke and needs to be taken to the hospital
if literally none of the rest of this is enough to get through to anyone please do consider that one day you too will be old and have to deal with every younger person you interact with being willing to dismiss anything you say at any time because hyper youth focused culture has convinced them that everyone over the age of 50 is a decrepit mummy about to precipitously start losing mental faculties
the sheer disdain and virulent hate i've been seeing recently as people express their feelings about The Current Politics...while using every derogatory term for elderly people they can think of....everyone needs to remember that insult reflection meme because whichever current politician you hate can't hear you saying that everyone over 70 should be forced into a rest home but your older family members sure fucking can
real true life story of someone i know:
elderly person went to the ER and got stuck in a bed in the hallway for three days because it was so overcrowded. when they went in they were completely oriented and aware, no cognitive decline of any kind, and by the time they managed to get out of there, after spending three days in pain and unable to sleep at all because they were laying in a bed, in a brightly lit and busy hallway, where people were constantly walking past and intercoms were constantly sounding overhead, the discharging nurse was trying to connect them with a social worker to help their family get them into care for their dementia because they'd gotten hospital delirium but never actually been assessed for their cognitive function so the nurse just assumed they must normally be like this
i don't think anyone here really understands how easily that even a young and healthy person being put under stressors like lack of sleep and illness can start having cognitive issues. every healthy 20-something i have ever interacted with who's told a funny story about how they barely got any sleep for a few days and then had some amusing cognitive slip, especially those who've then turned around and dismissed an older person as being "demented", are really only 30-40 years away from being that older person who's dismissed as being "demented"
once again, if you are very lucky, then someday you too will be old and having to deal with how our culture treats the elderly so it is in our best interests to start changing that culture NOW
#this has been simmering for a few days but i just saw a post from someone freshly-blocked that really made me lose it#this isn't about politics this is not about politics#everyone is just being extremely shitty about age

god i should have seen all the warning signs. i talked to my friends about being worried about how you treated your last ex, how things ended with him. now you're lying about me to make me out to be a villain, just like you fed me lies about him.
you're posting lies about me, feeding lies to my friends behind my back, posting messages ive sent without the context of your messages so that you can manufacture a story in which you are the victim. i could hardly identify that your last post about me was actually about me, your lies are that far removed from the truth.
its darkly hilarious that you posted out of context messages that you claimed was evidence of me manipulating you, when in reality those messages are from a conversation in which you were manipulating me. you were pressuring me to spend time with you while i was deeply uncomfortable with that idea. you eventually eroded my boundaries (as usual) and got me to come over that night, and while i was there i was very uncomfortable with how physically affectionate you were getting with me, and then you made a big deal of leaving the room to cry loudly when i reinforced my boundary of not wanting to get back together with you. that's emotional manipulation, by the way.
like its fine if you hate me i truly dont care, but lying about me to my friends is so insidious. they can see through your lies, anyways. you're just showing each one that you're a lying manipulative asshole, which is something that took me far too long to learn.
right off the bat my friends and girlfriend were put off by you. you tried to manipulate them into staying away from me, you tried to mark your territory and keep me caged the moment i could be free. you tried to discourage me finding new partners, you tried to discourage me making connections. you claim to be a paragon of polyamory but you have a lot of possessiveness and insecurities to work through.
and i know you'll read this and try and make a big deal out of it to my friends, just like you did with my last vaguepost. my friends are only going to have so much patience for this little routine of yours. we see through your lies, and we can see what you're doing. i invited you back into the server because i thought it would help you build connections, but you're showing that you're only interested in getting revenge for these imagined wrongdoings.
i didn't tell everyone in the group about all of the manipulation and abuse and harm you did to me, because i had pitied you, i thought you could use some real friends and maybe that could help you grow, but you've proven you dont even deserve that.
i'm done with your shit, i don't feel safe in the same room as you after what you've done to me, please stay out of my life.

I can't even remember who it was because I have terminal Names Are Meaningless disease but someone reblogged a post about humans being inherently kind from me and tagged it with something like "all these examples of people being good are individual and anecdotal whereas things like invading soldiers raping civilians is universal" (they were more verbose than that, this is just what stuck with me).
and I really don't want to be mean to that person, because yeah, there are a LOT of shitty people out there making shitty choices. but I disagree and I spent most of my childhood suffering with undiagnosed moral OCD and so I need to be clear why I think it's wrong to say "humans are not Good, they're neutral/bad"
What is the most neutral setting for humanity? A newborn baby, right? What do newborns do? They ask for help, by crying and reaching and holding on to their caregivers. What are the majority of humans hardwired to do when given a baby? Help it. Care for it. Keep it happy and healthy and safe. It is the norm among mammals to care for babies of your species. And granted, "survival" isn't good or bad, it is a neutral, desirable outcome. There is no morality to surviving.
But what about people who aren't caregivers to babies? Who still say hello and smile? Who pull funny faces or do silly things to make a stranger's tiny child laugh? Isn't it Good that a happy child satisfies our instincts more than a sad or frightened child?
And even when a child is a little older, sure, it may seem like kids are inherently selfish, but we have to remember that very small children don't know that other people have feelings yet. That the reason they're being told to share their toys or food isn't because they, personally, are being punished, but because someone else is deprived of something, and everyone benefits when everyone shares. We're not just teaching kids to share--we're teaching them that other people are real and alive and have equal worth to them.
(I'm not talking about abusive situations, I'm talking about normal, not-fucked-up-by-outsiders situations where a child is learning how to People. abuse is not neutral, it is not instinctive, it is learned behavior.)
If we really wanna talk warcrimes and murder, we need to talk about dehumanization, oppressive systems, and capitalism--none of which are inherent to the human condition. Oppression and capitalism were built up over time by people who were taught to dehumanize others. They are upheld and protected by people who are actively being taught to dehumanize others. We as living beings do not choose, in a vacuum, to be racist, sexist, colonialist, xenophobic, or any other form of bigotry.
Humans do not choose to be cruel in a vacuum. We just don't.
Is it fucked up that there are so many systems in place to deny people humanity? Yes. Do these systems need to be dismantled? Yes. Do the people who protect these systems benefit from them to an extent, which makes it that much harder to convince them that they won't suffer without them? Yes.
Are these systems naturally occurring? Fucking of course not.
Human beings are born without the capacity to hate OR love. We are taught which path to take. And anyone can change their path--or make individual decisions that harm or help others--any time they please. It's called free will and it's actually super wonderful. Which means you can deprogram soldiers who commit warcrimes and Nazis who call for genocide. You can rehabilitate rich people. You can teach middle class white boys with access to guns to care about the humanity of others. You can help victims heal and grow and regain what they've lost--their homes, their dignity, their humanity. You can do that. You can prove that humans are good.
Instead of feeling despair that some people choose to be cruel, why not be happy that others can counteract it by being kind? Why not allow yourself to spend a moment thinking about the good that people do for each other?
Instead of defaulting to "these systems of oppression get people hurt, and thus human beings are not good", try "these systems of oppression get people hurt, and we as human beings have the power to undo them." I promise, a little bit of hope, even if you have to fake it, will make you happier and healthier.

This wasn't the reason before, but after seeing your new dumb post my new reason is because you think you aren't "safe" around Trump supporters. You are a clear victim to fear porn if you believe that. Trump and Harris are both liars, frauds, and puppets for a corrupt system, but Trump supporters (for the most part) are amazingly wonderful people (other than their blind allegiance to an actor playing his part, just like Harris plays hers). The vast majority do not care if you're a faggot pretending to be a girl, they just want you to stop guilting, shaming, and trying to force everyone else to play pretend with you (as well as supporting the indoctrination and grooming of children). If you want to live inside your imagination, then by all means go ahead, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world needs to play along with your delusions or be quiet with their opinions.
Regardless of what you think of this message, I want to implore you not to give in to fear. If you live a life centered around love, then you have nothing to be afraid of. If you turn people into monsters inside your head, then of course that's what you'll see when you look at them, regardless of the reality in front of you.
Get off Tumblr. Get off the internet. Breathe fresh air. Walk on grass. TALK to people face to face and live inside the real world. You're killing your soul by spending so much time online, drowning in toxic, hateful ideologies. Thinking with your dick instead of your heart. I'm pretty sure you don't believe you have a soul, anyway, which is just further proof you're destroying yourself. Why else would someone get off to being beaten and abused? Being treated like a dog? You have no self-worth and you want everyone else to be just as miserable as you. You don't love yourself, so how can you ever expect anyone else to love you? All you'll ever find is people who get off to the idea of fucking and hurting the costume you choose to attach yourself to. Your entire life is the way it is because you don't take accountability for anything. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. You are on the wrong path. In ten years when you're in the exact same spot, wondering why things are so bad for you, why people cut you out of their lives, questioning what you could have done differently, feeling alone and unlovable, still staring at your computer screen and wishing things would change, still pretending like it's the world's fault and not your own, I hope you remember this anon and start making the right choices for yourself. You're a man. Get your shit together and act like one. Then once you've finally learned to love yourself as you are and you straighten out the mess of your life, by all means - act like the dumbest, prettiest lil' puppy bitch you wanna be behind closed doors. Separate reality from fantasy instead of trying to merge them into one. You will NEVER find happiness if you carry on how you have been. The only people who will love you are the ones who are happy to keep you sick and mentally ill so long as that means they never have to face their own demons.
it really is the most boring piece of shit little worm answers from people like you lol. crazy you tell me im on this website too much when you literally respond to my posts within minutes. someones obsessed 😇
why is it always the same speech 😔 cant you loser pieces if shit come up w something new and interesting to say? ive heard this before. you're wrong. there you go, thats my argument. it has just about the same level of depth and introspection as the 9 paragraphs you just sent. you get to see one side of me on the internet with no context and you think you can say all that. get a life
spending your free time sending personalized, anons to a blog in a dark corner of the internet that averages 1 note a post, and then telling them they spend too much time on the website is psycho behavior. get help, and make actual friends im begging you.
you're weird and gross for thinking like this. stop trying to control other people you know nothing about, and do a lil work on urself. look into your own beliefs and the sources you're getting your entertainment and information from. get some perspective in life and stop wasting your time being such a sad, boring, loser <3

A drama rant~
So I watched 'Bed Friend' last year after procrastinating A LOT on whether to watch it or not because it just felt like a normal friend's with benefits drama. BUT omg, I was wrong! After watching, I understood how deep the storytelling was! So!! This is a Thai BL drama, and here's why I loved it so much!!! Also it's 18+ btw so not recommending it for everyone...
Yeaasss.. oki so Ehem...
I like 'Bed Friend' and find it as a wonderful story (ok some parts are a bit too much) but the storyline is so good.. I didn't think I would like it but welp I ended up loving it...
First of all, the story touches on very important matters that are happening in society, and it feels realistic.. I felt like I was watching an educational BL hehe...and especially the acting was so on point that it made me believe everything was real!! They also had so many micro-expressions, omg!! Plus, their chemistry was also good, and even though this was a friends with benefits kinda one, since they had consent and respect towards each other and certain things, it was cool and was not irritating to watch.... (I'm beginning to think that King brought up that whole FWB thing just to spend time with Uea 😂 but anyways) these two are the main couple.
Also... most of the time in BL's, you don't get to see the bad people getting what they deserve... BUT in this I was very happy with how they handled the situations...especially King! He took care of it in the most calmest way WITHOUT, causing drama and in the correct way too✨and most of the time there was no violence involved!and they also taught us how to act if we get into a scary situation... this story emphasises how unhealthy and scary sexual abuse is like and how it will affect the mental health of the victim in the long run, if not taken any proper actions towards it, that may cause unwanted trauma and fear.
The way this story showed how it's really hard to cope with trauma is next level. They also tell you that you should get professional help if it's serious. So regardless of the extreme scenes, haha...Bed Friend really touched my heart, and it taught me that it is not easy to just simply forget about them.. and this story also reminds us that you shouldn't isolate someone.. especially if you are a parent, then you should DEFINITELY listen to what your child is saying and comfort them!! I really hated the mom of the main character as she never believed her own son even after telling her that he was getting abused!! So please listen to your children first! Seeing if it's a truth or lie comes wayyy after this!
Sure, there were a lot of scenes that were too much lol... but King and Uea still have a healthy relationship, hehe, so that's good!.. I'm so happy that they addressed those things. THIS drama also showed me that Karma will always follow and that there's no running away from it.
Also it's scary to think that things like what happened in the drama are actually happening somewhere in the world as we speak :(
Sooooo what I want to say is... even tho this story is very very sexualized it's still worth watching and has a very deep meaning ^_^
SO, these are my thoughts on this wonderful BL drama :) and I think it deserves to be in the top lists! And a huge praise for the actors and directors for doing such an amazing job! As well as everyone who worked to make this drama possible 💜 so end of rant lol... this is something that was on my mind for a long time!

I am insane for your tma x dc headcanons! I have to ask, do you think any of the other dc characters are entity aligned? Heres a few hcs i had:
The Scarecrow: honestly might be an avatar touched by all the fears like Jonathan Sims. Probably like Sims, he started researching the fears and Scarecrow became obsessed w them. If i had to go with a single entity, i would say he is Dark/Corruption/Eye alligned
The Riddler: Eye or Spiral alligned
The Joker: slaughter or corruption (the angst if Jason shared an entity w his murderer!)
Poison Ivy: Extinction?
Harley Quinn: hunt or stranger aligned? She was hunting down the cure for Jokers issues, but he wasnt who she thought he was and she became the prey
Killer Croc: Flesh babey!
Two face: maybe another slaughter?
The penguin: Web
I dont know enough about non-batman characters to do others tbh
Okay, so in my opinion plenty of characters have been touched by various Entities or even marked by them in ways that can motivate them without fully being Avatars or aligning themselves with those Entities. Like, Scarecrow just screams to me of someone who was touched by the Spiral (and is probably in real danger of becoming an Avatar,) but he’s holding on to his own sense of rationality as hard as he can and trying to make Fear make scientific sense. Someone who would walk out of an impossible corridor, and spend weeks measuring the outside of the building trying to find where the hell that corridor was supposed to fit, before sending someone else in to see if they experienced the same thing, only to become fixated on the differences… Not saying that’s what happened, but Jonathan Crane had some kind of experience with the embodiment of Unreality itself, and he definitely feeds it regularly.
(Harley, likewise, seems more like a victim of the Spiral, Corruption, or Stranger than anything else. Oh, she’s still a supervillain/anti-hero depending on the day, but her origin story is of her mind being broken by the Joker’s abuse. That is either depressingly mundane, or being chewed up & spat out by one of those three Entities.)
I hadn’t thought much about most of the villains, but I am 100% with you on Ivy being an Avatar of the Extinction, and I can definitely see Croc as an Avatar of the Flesh. I’d throw in Hugo Strange as probably being at least aligned with the Spiral, and Pyg has definitely at the very least been marked by either the Spiral or Flesh (though I don’t know him well enough to say if he’s a full-blown Avatar or not.) If you only saw my first post, I also decided Talia & Ra’s are both aligned with the Web, though Talia values her own freedom enough I don’t think she’s a full Avatar. They’re the ones who helped Bruce find the Mother’s embrace. Damian was supposed to be a Web Avatar as well, but he’s just a little too desperate for love when nobody’s looking; his swarm is silk worms & moths, and he does manage to fake it for a while. If Joker’s an Avatar, it would either be the Stranger, Spiral or Slaughter, in my opinion, but I always like when experts of every kind take time to study Joker and are like, “Yeah, IDK WTF is going on with that guy, but I hate it.”
(Jason is an Avatar of the Desolation in my version, because the Slaughter is about the violence on as large a scale as possible while the Desolation is about the very personal aftermath. The Slaughter is War, where the Desolation is something taking out your entire life in one single night and leaving you behind to deal with it. Jason absolutely wants his targets to be scared of what will happen, what he’ll do to them, but in a “destroy everything you’ve ever worked for & drive away everyone you ever cared about” sort of way; not a “blow up an entire city block for no reason” sort of way. And given how much Jason cares about protecting innocents, he’s actually partially starving himself by not following through on complete Desolation the way people like Jude Perry do. Imagine if The Archivist (around s3) tore out the last page of a statement & threw it away without glancing at it before he started reading. That’s basically what Jason’s doing to himself.)
Some people in the DC universe, though, are just Like That(TM). Sure, it can be hard to tell supernatural trauma apart from genuine mental illness, but it’s still a superhero setting and some people are just little freaks (affectionate.)
Like, Oliver Queen? Just a little freak with a bow. Just a weirdo. Black Canary? Superpowers, but not of the Fear Entity induced kind. She’s just Like That(TM).
Speedsters? Oh honey, you better believe they’re all just Like That(TM). Anti-Avatars, if anything; those bastards basically became one with a potential aspect of the Vast and went “But what if I was just. Like. Nice about it? Or only mean in extremely specific, petty, personal ways? What if that?”
My main “outside of Gotham” thought is that Amazons are aware of the Entities. Primarily, they have to be very careful & monitor eachother for signs of potential influence of the Hunt, but they’re aware of others beyond it (though they might define the Entities along different lines thanks to cultural differences & all that; I don’t have any specifics, I just really like that headcanon that while certain fears are nearly universal, the way different cultures group & view them are going to be different. Like, if spiders are viewed as purely benevolent & good luck by the culture you were raised in, it’s very unlikely any capital-f Fear is going to have a spider motif. Smirke separated the Buried from the Vast, but aren’t they both primarily about being overwhelmed, about Too Much? At the bottom of the ocean, is there any difference? Why should other cultures draw that same line?) This created some tension with Batman at the start of the Justice League, as Diana knew even if he wasn’t lying when he swore to have the best intentions, Batman was still walking a razor’s edge; he could become a monster so very easily. On the other hand, it was a huge relief for Dick (who, again if you’ve only seen my first post, I’ve changed my mind on and decided he’s a Hunt Avatar) when he first met the other Titans and they all went over their powers, to have Donna realize what he was talking about and promise to stop him if he ever lost control. A promise she has actually had to follow through on a few times, when a villain got into their heads and pushed Dick too far; he sleeps better at night knowing Donna is both willing & able to wrestle him to the ground and keep him from hurting anyone, even when Dick’s gone full-feral.
(The tag for this AU on my blog is "tma crossover," if you wanna check out the... everything I have for it.)

GOODBYE FACEBOOK
After 15 years on Facebook, I deleted my account yesterday. I joined originally because I was feeling isolated, and wanted to make contact with people who’d drifted out of my life, and maybe find a few new friends in the process. Although I didn’t know it at the time, that’s not the way social media works.
I didn’t make a single new friend in my 15 years on Facebook. I lost track of how many old friends I lost because of it, but the number exceeded seven. Many of those fell victim to misunderstandings that probably never would’ve happened if we’d been face-to-face with one another. (I was even forced to unfriend my twin brother because he took some of my comments on his posts the wrong way. It’s very difficult to convey humor when the person can’t look you in the eye. It doesn’t matter how many laugh emojis you attach. When I discovered he adjusted his settings so I wouldn’t see his posts, I thought I’d better unfriend him before it got out of hand. The damage has since been repaired the old-fashioned way – we talked on the phone, and through an e-mail exchange.) The others happened because this social media app allowed people to needlessly, and without provocation abuse me to satisfy some malicious drive in them to humiliate or belittle me for reasons I simply cannot fathom. It’s called trolling, but you don’t really expect trolls to be people you thought of as friends. Rather than try to repair the damage, I simply walked away. I have no time left in my life for people who clearly do not want me in theirs.
I also made the unpleasant discovery that most people are liars or phonies. They’ll pose as friends, but, in reality, you, and the things you do with your life are of no real interest to them at all. You are nothing more than part of an audience when they take center stage to tell of their lives. I often compare it to being in a large gathering of people who are all talking, and nobody is actually listening. I can’t tell you how often I was solicited to give feedback or support on some of their artistic pursuits, but after spending three years working on this blog I’m proud of, and being urged by those same people to permit them access to it because they all said they wanted to see it, I showed them my work, and nearly all of them completely ignored it. They didn’t reject it because they didn’t like what I’d done. They just never bothered to look at it. And yet, they still continued to lobby me for support and encouragement when they made new music, or wrote a new book or a play, or took up a cause.
I was that guy at a party, standing in the room in plain sight that nobody noticed; to whom nobody spoke. I figured nobody would notice or care when I left. So, I simply walked out the door, and I’m not coming back.
I haven’t even mentioned what a trainwreck the site is when it comes to how it’s managed. Understanding their community guidelines regarding posts is like walking through a Bosnian minefield. No matter how careful you are, you’re eventually going to step on one, and you get to spend some time in Facebook jail until you learn your lesson. The news feed is clogged with ads, and an endless stream of suggested pages based on all the data they’ve collected on you that makes them think they know who you are, and can therefore market their products to you, and help separate you from your money. For example, I don’t watch or follow much sports anymore except some NFL during the season. But there were always endless suggestions in my feed that I follow pages about hockey, basketball, baseball, and many more. No matter how many I blocked, they just kept coming. I’m retired, and have been married for almost 44 years. But there were plenty of ads for online senior dating websites. I guess there was money to be made if Facebook could break up my marriage. And don’t you find it creepy when you look up some product online, and suddenly there’s that same product in an ad on your Facebook news feed? Big Brother is watching you 24/7. Don’t kid yourself otherwise.
So, why did it take 15 years to decide to leave? Well, I had come to rely upon it for some news, and weather, and announcements of new products I might be interested in (music, books, etc.). It was like that relic from the past – a daily newspaper. I also told myself I ought to maintain my page so that I would have some connection to friends and family since none of them live near me, and most I haven’t seen in more than a decade. But the light finally went on, and I realized these people were ghosts. I’d surrounded myself with my past. I discovered that once you’re not a part of someone’s day-to-day life (and that includes relatives as well as friends), you never will be again. You simply don’t matter any longer. Everybody has moved on, and nobody saved you a place at the table.
Okay. I accept that. But what I found impossible to tolerate was the hypocrisy. When I hit the delete button yesterday, I felt as if a weight had been lifted. There are suddenly so many things I no longer need be concerned with, and people I can consign, once and for all, to the place they all occupy – the past. I wished them well, and some commented I should stay in touch, but I won’t bother because I know they won’t bother.
Cyberspace is the real distance between people in the 21st century. Calling the internet the “worldwide web” is the perfect name for it. Because like a fly, you can get trapped in the web, and find yourself prey to all sorts of predators, with, seemingly, no way out – until you open that door, and the web breaks, and you’re suddenly free to crawl away before you’re trapped again.
If I could go back and live in the last century, I would. But I can’t. So, I’ll just have to find a way to cope in this one. Social media wasn’t helping. I can’t tell you how grateful I am there was a delete button.

also reminded like yeah billions is pretty incapable of depicting like moments of kindness, warmth, consideration even like wildly limited in the ways it does it & unconvincing to that point of like, exceedingly rare that anyone seems to genuinely enjoy anyone's company & these instances are probably for more "unimportant" dynamics & scenes. & it's not all about billions just Not being about nice heartwarming material or anything like yeah of course it isn't but it also definitely has that & does just Indulge sometime like yes you're supposed to go [aww] or whatever's close enough & at least does ask us to believe characters are affected & motivated by such things sometimes....but it's like oh shit the series that's yeah about Events hinging on Power but also asks about the interpersonal & emotional aspect of that where people are entitled to act upon others & others are treated as inferior but answers with just embracing there being superior & inferior groups but like hey we need the Really superior people with the power & the Really inferior people thusly more vulnerable....like nooo way that again like you just get victim blaming all around & best "good" characters can do is stay in the background as props for their Betters & best "bad" characters can do is Get Destroyed like whee that was so fun & validating of my superiority & power....nooo way that This Material is completely shit at showing anyone actually having a pleasant interaction with another character
like you get shit like how rian is just shown being flatout abusive just for funsies to winston & the comment on that is jeez rian you're being a bit too nice. rian only shown having a miserable time assigned with Just Sitting There so taylor can like say things at a character while billions writes wendy as too busy to remember taylor exists for a few months, except oh rian is afraid of how much she loves taylor & what magical times she had working in the same room for a season b/c billions was doing nothing else w/either character. oh taylor is just someone wendy remembers exists when she wants something from them & then she can cast them aside but otherwise she's in charge of taylor's life & enabling someone who treats them like his property is so important that if taylor deliberately outmaneuvers & thwarts her efforts in helping axe keep them trapped it was a real sicko immoral move from taylor that personally wronged her? her doing whatever she wants with taylor's life Regardless Of Their Consent was beautiful & necessary & so For Their Own Good thank you so much forever? great times on billions. & then like all wendy's beautiful complex romances being just. ungodly
like the Lovely Moments you can have on billions are spending money on someone, from axe's helpful bribing off of an ethics panel to taylor actually getting a thoughtfully personalized gift as a specific gesture for a friend, really wide range to that. &/or you can Tell Someone oh you're sooo superior to others. &/or it can be one of those scenes that are just invocations of Family(tm) or Romance(tm) & are just godawful wastelands lmao like this is miserable too. but isn't that lovely. isn't that What Really Matters. versus like glimmers of people acting like friends or actual peers who have basic consideration for each other & are sometimes being kind or having an actually good time interacting with this person like huh what is that. well who cares. back to wendy's relationship arc of the day
#wow the show that believes with all its heart that there's the entitled Superiors & the Inferiors who bring it upon themselves#is dogshit at the least convincing material about two people interacting in a way that doesn't torture one or both of them#how could this be....damn....#winston billions#& i mean enjoyment or not like. when wendy just says like ''oh taylor of course we see each other as peers'' very last episode like#billions can't even convincingly portray basic respect. Wonder Why. on a show that says yes all nonwendies Are inferior to her.#it had Better be good enough for your friend to remember you exist for the first time in ages & be like Well You're Awesome#well you're better than other people. i bought you a Good Alcohol. i interfered in your life but you'll ultimately benefit maybe ish#that's all you get. besides the promise of nebulous concepts of Family & Romance that are themselves just about entitlement#& again like you just need the one kind of example here like. rian's material w/winston being [default: abuse]#and then the show saying Rian You Were Always Too Nice To Him. b/c it Is the show saying that. like pack it up#warmest fuzziest feelings are when someone is dealing with a Superior who didn't hurt them as much as they could've#not That bad....Could've Been Worse....at least it's the devil i know....just Have to deal with this; so i have to see the best in it#truly shooting for the stars. what's better than this. nothing billions is thinking about#when there's people acting more like equals it's like sure unimportant to billions; perhaps ridiculous to pathetic

A Conviction That Trump’s No Felon
A show conviction surely won’t end up helping Donald Trump in the same way printing money made everything affordable. Democrats have a plan to cope with how they screwed up their previous ones. Planning ahead is for suckers who don’t have power to abuse. Look at the thoroughly Third World conditions they’ve created and tell me they’ve thought out the next step.
Donald Trump is a victim. That’s quite the thing to be accurate. The patron saint of the aggrieved now has the worst thing possible, namely a case. The lousy verdict enabled his faction of aggrieved whiners with undeserved evidence. Trump’s greatest weapon remains his enemies.
Learn from your own scheming scumbags. Executive humping enthusiast Bill Clinton’s poll numbers went up whenever it seemed he might be removed from power over his fibbing about a special kiss from a seduced intern. Democrats granted Trump the same opportunity to thrive off lechery, with the difference being he didn’t break the law by trying to evade sidepiece detection. And you claimed there was no bipartisanship.
No one is above the law, declare those below it. The debate about a smirking jury’s decision focuses on how a mock trial will harm the candidacy of an unctuous libertine who wasn’t guilty even if he kept on his wedding ring. This is the system at its noblest.
If a lunatic’s shrieking that the system is corrupt, it shouldn’t prove him right. A horrible yet innocent person hasn’t been punished this infamously since Freddy Quimby.
How couldn’t they find something Trump actually did? That’s the worst part. The party that can’t find peace or prosperity is thorough in obliviousness.
The system’s busted. And its latest victim is the least qualified person to fix it. Ranting without results defined his term like it has his spectacularly hollow career. The only reason it’s unsurprising that Trump got something right is that he’s dealing with shameful foes who seize autonomy in order to seize more of it. There are adorably still a few holdouts who maintain the reigning party wants to confiscate stuff and rights for everyone’s benefit.
Liberals suddenly care about crime. They seem to be fans of it based on how their policies treat perpetrators like victims. New York City makes Batman movies look understated. Gotham’s countless muggers are free to continue plying their trade. A revolving door jailhouse applies to everyone arrested except for the reality show host president who’s applying for the job again.
Felon BFF Alvin Bragg finally decides to prosecute something, and it’s this. A district attorney so preposterous that Tom Wolfe couldn’t have invented him as a character cracked down on the crime of being someone he didn’t vote for.
Trump’s zip-it cash labeling system is the first alleged violation that’s ever bothered Bragg, so nobody’s shocked he didn’t know what qualified. It’s uncanny that he went after someone he campaigned on confronting. Partisan pursuits make predictions true.
The only crimes in New York City are being Donald Trump and cooking pizza with coal. The 1970s request you stop comparing the present regrettable time to it. We don’t even get the decadence of disco or catharsis of punk out of the present bout with enabling barbarians. But those who would’ve approved of the ostensible Republican’s deficit spending if his name had been taken off get the tawdry thrill of gloating about sentencing someone they just know acted illicitly somehow.
Pretending to go after white-collar criminals as the subways resemble a Charles Bronson reboot means he doesn’t care about real offenses. The ode to North Korean prosecution wasn’t getting derailed just because nobody can list the alleged countless victims. Many who constantly bitch about the justice system’s unfairness are gloating about Trump being found guilty despite the technicality of not committing a crime.
Those cheering for the previous president to do time will flip out when a Democratic candidate is prosecuted on fantasized charges. You anticipate they might appreciate meeting their standards. Spot who’s full of it by how they hate living under their own rules.
Republicans will either be at a disadvantage for not being as scuzzy as their counterparts or sink to their level for a muck fight. The media will condemn the latter without noting precedent. And they’ll never determine why a raving madman rose to prominence in the first place.
Trump’s enemies kept him competitive so they can continue to have purpose in life. Or they didn’t plot out consequences, whatever. Not thinking out things is so unlike the sorts who proclaimed not paying back loans would lead to widespread wealth.
If the goal was to allow Trump to portray himself as aggrieved, then the mission is accomplished. The greatest businessman ever isn’t going to make money on real estate or selling steaks on television, but he can grift off the indignant. Now, he doesn’t even need to invent a shaky reason.
Both sides predict this year’s most notorious conviction helps. It’s the only agreement on anything. The mugshot used as avatars by both his own cult and its zealous foes made social media even more confusing. Now, conservatives who loathe the Republican option for his liberal tendencies and personality may as well cherish the chance to display principles. I cannot offer enough middle fingers to everyone gloating about a garbage conviction for making me defend Trump.
Did the scoundrel actually commit a crime? Everyone forgot to ask. We can’t even get nice chinos at this banana republic. Inflation applies to charges like it does garment budgets. Making Trump look like he’s not the scumbag is the most astounding Democratic achievement yet.

Ml Analysis: Armand D’Argencourts beautiful risk in “Risk” and Gabriel as the core of Adrien being victim blamed in-universe
Disclaimer right of the bat: When I use the word 'victim-blaming' I'm not saying it with the often automatically included association of "ill-intentioned". Victim-blaming and other types of badly treating a person are not, and I mean NOT, exclusive to 'bad people'. Buddy, you can have the purest form of love for someone and mean no real harm in any way and it still wouldn't change the true face of what the displayed behavior/action IS. Intentions are crucial, but they don't decide if something was victim-blaming or not.
Alright? Okay, let's go:
There is one moment in “Risk” that will never not hit me like a whole high-speed train. Its Armand D’Argencourts reaction to Adrien leaving:
While the episode makes the obvious point that Adrien doesnt WANT to leave and that all the positive reactions to his trip and position are misguided support, this one just feels so different.
Because this is the only time we see an adults reaction. A TEACHER! A well-meaning teacher who has since the beginning of the show been put in a direct position of responsibility by Gabriel to be his sons fencing master. M. D’Argencourts spends alot of time with Adrien, knows the pressure he is under, how much is demanded of him and in what kind of mood Adrien is often in. The fencing environment is often used to show Adriens emotional healths state after all.
So this moment of M. D’Argencourts saying this heavy statement really feels incredibly genuine. Because yes, he would know. And that is such a subtle, even hidden in plain sight, massive reveal caused by Froggys influence that actually makes perfect sense to kinda come out of “nowhere” here but still go as hard as it does.
He is one of the adults who are picked by Gabriel to take care of Adrien, just here it is for one of Adriens expected hobbies instead of a buisness or family related matter. So unlike Nathalie or the Gorilla M. D’Argencourts would only really interact with Adrien in a public setting (excluding Party Crasher, that's an interesting case for itself), meaning he would always be stopped by the normal professionalism barrier one expects from a teacher.
The normal professionalism barrier that very much is a real life thing as well and so so many teachers struggle with because of course they often notice that the kid in question needs help, but teachers are so often rendered basically powerless by the very profession they are in. And yet the profession is also the only reason why they are even in said kids life at all.
This moment here really feels like one of those moments where the adult, who needed to maintain a professional distance to the abused kid they care about, ends up taking the huge risk and showing their true feelings for the matter once the professional situation ends. Which here is the case.
The schoolday was as good as over and Adrien about to leave for months and not come to school again for quite a while at least. This was the only “reasonable” situation where M. D’Argencourts would have been free to do this without it being too inappropriate or have his hands still being tied by the employment of being “just” a teacher and not a person/adult who gets to be part of Adriens private life.
And my gosh, M. D’Argencourts really risked taking that chance the moment he was able to huh? Its literally right the moment Adriens last lesson is being ended a bit earlier by Lila and the other kids enthusiasm that M. D’Argencourts steps out of the now-not-so-required-anymore professionalism and scoops Adrien up.
And then from this shot of M. D’Argencourts hugging Adrien we straight up switch to the next scene where Adrien and Lila leave. M. D’Argencourts is right away not among them anymore because the schoolday is over and this is a group of friends saying goodbye. They arent standing there as a class but as friends. So as the adult and teacher that he still is, M. D’Argencourts has no “justification” to be there anymore since this now regards Adriens and his other students private lives. So he isnt there. There also wouldnt be a logical risk for a teacher like him to dare to take in this situation. There is nothing M. D’Argencourts could do even if he wanted to.
So yeah, OOF.
M. D’Argencourts REALLY saw that he had one chance to make his feelings regarding Adriens situation, he had to watch from his more of less powerless teacher position, somehow known to the abused kid he cares about, and man did he TOOK it the moment he could!
This is... such a relieving moment in “Risks” narrative. There is so much victim blaming going on in the finale episodes, because most of the reactions we see are from risk influenced kids who either dont have the means to grasp Adriens situation yet, have their own motives where victim blaming benefits them or other cruical informations of Adriens horrible situations arent known yet in general outside of Adriens family.
In this regard “Risk” is such an awful episode to get through, but it does make you think about how different all this victim blaming is. Quite alot of it isnt even mean-spirited but was meant helpful in intention. Everyone just lacks so much information and crucial perspective that it only could end like this. And that is such a well done and realistic depiction of what actual abuse victims go through. This stuff is so legit, hence why Adrien fans are so upset about it. Because we know and live all of this shit, we can clearly read what is going on here and we SEE how the unfairness isnt stopping and being used against a victim once again.
Cause we KNOW it sounds like an excuse but it actually ISNT when we say that the other characters (but most importantly Adrien HIMSELF) just dont KNOW or understand yet how much Adrien is not the problem here, and that Adrien is caught in a system where even doing excatly what people accuse him of not daring to do is fruitless because he. is. being. abused/oppressed. and. controlled (yes I'm talking about Adrien being a Sentihuman and in my opinion both wedding rings being his amok objects).
Adrien already DID what everyone wanted him to do that day but no one KNOWS it because Gabriel has a whole system in place to cut Adrien down at every turn, including a ring to literally control him.
Most of the people in Adriens life arent even aware they are victim blaming in this episode and yet...thats still simply what they are doing. Thats the reality. Cause to be fair, alot of times it IS a factor of standing up for oneself or take action that can improve one's life greatly. It's not for nothing that this is always peoples first instinct, because it makes sense. But in Adriens life there is simply the unshakable truth that some of the fields in his life are highly negatively influenced by people and systems where him just speaking up is not enough to solve the problem entirely (best case scenario). Sometimes people who complain about being stuck in a miserable circle aren't complaining just to have excuses. Some people are actually stuck in fundamentally inescapable systems/situations, and only completely taking them out of said systems/situations will solve the problem or else all efforts are at risks of having been in vain. This is why sometimes abuse victims NEED to be taken out of their home.
Like in "Multiplication" where suddenly Adrien asking his father to allow him to not having to be a model anymore worked out fine. If he had done that before s5 this wouldn't have worked, hence why it didn't happen in the show before now. It only worked now because GABRIEL, the abuser, was the one who changed and Gabriel of course is in charge of the system.
Adrien having confronted his father did NOT solve the actual core problem that is Gabriel abusing and taking advantage of his son. Gabriels point of view merely changed and now Adrien asking to not be a model anymore suddenly wasn't a problem anymore for him. So Adrien just simply happened to not do something out of the new line. That was such a massive fucking coincidence, it has nothing to do with the needed solution. Cause Adrien confronting his father wasn't able to solve the problem because Gabriel on a whim changed what the problem IS:

Which is why it is so horrible to watch the brutal unfairness on screen in "Risk" when there is literally no way for Adrien to do "right" when he himself doesn't even know what exactly that is yet while everyone keeps saying and demanding something else, contradicting each other too, at the same time as saying either that what's happening to him right now is the best thing ever or the worst.
Right along with saying that Adrien only needs to stand up for himself even though the day literally started with Adrien trying to do that TWICE:
Adriens abuse clashes so hard with the extreme world around him in this episode because at its core it always comes back to what his father/his family background unknown to him puts him through, and how that ends up making others, Adriens friends and Adrien himself hurt and blame him basically for the not so nice looking survival mechanisms to somehow make it through a system completely built against him. And I can only hope that from "Destruction" onwards (now that the new Family Agreste narrative system was officially put in place at the end of “Multiplication”) the show is finally gonna stop making all the victim blaming out to be "just what Adrien needed" through deliberate writing to make it seem that way.
Because in “Risk” it was EXACTLY the confusing, chaotic and sometimes even hypocritical mess of so many character’s various degrees and versions of victim blaming, in ways we never heard them voice before, that ended up leaving Adrien beyond frustrated, confused and vunerable for Felix to manipulate:
Yes, it is true that Adrien also needed to find the courage to stand up for himself in horrible situations, but Adrien doing that isnt going to solve shit because as annoying as it sounds because of Astrucs poor wording years ago that “Adrien is perfect the world is to blame”, Adriens abuse/conflicts simply always includes fundamental and massive core elements of systematically being held in disadvantage or even an outside force being able to literally oppress and control him. Yes, it is questionable to do this with the white rich male pretty boy character, buddy I didnt write the show.
So yeah, M. D’Argencourts happiness for Adrien being able to see the world may be misguided because he doesnt know that Adrien doesnt want to do that, but my GOODNESS. This moment - alongside Marinette later blurring out that she deep down very much understands that the person Adrien needs to get away from is his FATHER (that Adrien doesnt just need to find courage like she adviced him because she fears her powerlessness if Gabriel were to truly be the dangerous problem), and Nino being in general the ally I need in Adriens life just PLEASE with Adrien giving him the needed informations - it gives me so much hope!
They all (and even more, like Alya for example) have the fucking spirit down, we just need to get everyone on the same page regarding the truth of Adriens abuse. But MAN, seeing M. D’Argencourts here really just hits differently.
Because he’s a fucking adult and a teacher Adrien spend alot of time with. And while up til this very moment you may have never even thought about him knowing or grasping whats going on in Adriens life, the moment he just takes the risk and scoops Adrien up and says these words right the instance he ISNT Adriens teacher anymore... it just hits you like a damn brickhouse that one more adult in Adriens life DID notice the entire time how dire Adriens situation is. And how much SENSE it makes that M. D’Argencourts would know. His hands are just tied by his profession and he didnt know how to help this poor kid because of how limited but risky the power and influence of a teacher is once a student of yours has a bad homelife. And as Alya very appropriately said:
ESPECIALLY not when you are an adult and the person you may end up putting at risk through getting yourself involved is a child at the mercy of their parents. This is SUCH a huge fucking complex issue in real life teachers have to deal with. What do you do? How much do you help and in what ways? Do you dare reaching out to the child and trying to help in the first place? Do you wait til the child comes to you or is that choosing to look away until the child had to do all the work of getting this far alone? Do you talk to the parents? And what can you possibly SAY that doesnt risk the outcome of the poor child maybe then having to bare their upset parents wrath YOU set of?
Gosh, shout-out to all teachers who are trying their best to help their abused students. And to the ones desperately wishing you could dare to take a risk but too afraid of the consequences not YOU may face, but your abused student.
So yeah, It just makes me incredibly emotional that we see an ADULT in Adriens life reacting like this “out of nowhere”. Because an adult, a TEACHER, can understands on so many more layers how horrible Adriens father is treating him, and looking at M. D’Argencourts reaction here... Dude, M. D’Argencourts apparently had some opinions on Gabriels parenting this entire time. How fitting that it was the risk-taking influence of Gabriels akuma that brought this to light:
It also makes you wonder how many more adults must be in Adriens buisness-heavy civilian life who DO very much understand that what Gabriel is doing is horribly WRONG, but just dont know if and HOW they can possibly help without risking making it worse. Because thats the reality of these situations. How on earth do you protect a child from their PARENT? Much less such a powerful and abusive one like Gabriel?

Reverse Robins but we include the Robin Collective has been eating my BRAIN bc it'd completely change the meaning and purpose of Robin.
So like. We all know Gotham is a shithole, and the leadership cares more about lining their own pockets than anything else. On the rare occassions they decide to take a look at the city, they sure don't look at the Narrows, the poor parts of Gotham. As a result, it's a hotbed for villain prototypes who, without a vigilante to rage against, just rage against the general population. Batman isn't a thing yet, and everyone in the Narrows knows nobody is going to help them but themselves.
Duke's parents are the victims of one of those proto-villains, and he spends time bouncing from foster home to foster home, quickly learning that if he doesn't help himself and the kids there, nobody will, being consumed by rage as he watches more and more kids pile in as nobody does anything to fight against the proto villains, regular criminals, and just general shittiness of the Narrows.
So he does something about it. It's pathetically easy to get the younger kids to trust in someone dressed in bright colours calling himself a superhero. Is he one? He doesn't know. All he knows is he's full of rage and wants to do something. So he steals food and distributes it to kids and families he knows need it, ferrets the kids in abusive foster homes away and cares for them in a secret location, foils as many proto villain plans he can, and finds that others join him. Mostly kids from the Narrows, who help ca ree for the kids with nowhere else to go, who set up support networks so less of them have to go into crime to survive, who overwhelm the proto villains with sheer numbers. As the movement grows, they become known as the one force of good in the poorer parts of Gotham, and kids from the richer parts, wanting to help and frustrated at seeing their parents do nothing, join them.
By the time Bruce comes back to Gotham to play Batman, he finds a thriving vigilante community made out of kids. It's impressive, and they're undeniably doing good, but it's also undeniably not sustainable. Proto villains are escalating to true villains, and casualties start coming in; hiding kids with nowhere to go works in the short term, but long term, they need documentation, better clothes, better homes, and, you know, actual parents. The Collective can't go on as it is, but without something to replace them, nobody is willing to stand down. And after so long on their own, they don't trust anyone.
And thus begin the negotiations. There is no real leader of the Collective, but as one of the first, Duke is one of the de facto leaders, and Batman seeks him out. With Duke as a representative, Batman and the Collective talk. At first, the collective thinks he's full of hot air, but Bruce Wayne's money starts pooring into the Narrows, setting up facilities that make aid easier to find and distribute, cracking down on the corruption in the foster system, setting up food banks and homeless shelters and free medical care with clean needles, etc. And Batman helps to fight the villains, and the Collective finds their casualties diminishing.
It's far from perfect, but it's steps in the right direction, and the Collective finds itself in the stage where it can stop its more dangerous activities, and become a more traditional community aid incentive. And it's willing to do so, but they don't trust things not to go back to the way they were once Batman takes his eyes off them, when he's gotten what he wants.
So Duke proposes making a Robin Batman's partner, and that's how he became the first Robin. It changes Robin's role from partner to Batman to a reminder to take care of the poorer and forgotten parts of the city, and a beacon of trust for those people. And if Batman breaks that trust, it's Robin's responsibility to stop him, or to turn his back on him and fight for the people.
CANNOT stop thinking about how this difference in framing and responsibility changes the Robin legacy mantle.

Anon for my safety <3 I have DID as well prof diagnosed, and reading your posts hit home. It hurts so badly when I see kids who were similarly abused and developed a literal last resort disorder just to survive, only to be called “cringe” and “attention seeker” when they genuinely seek help. God forbid a trauma victim find joy in life, you must suffer forever in order to be valid.
Me and my host are in a dedicated relationship with eachother, we love each other so openly and emotionally in a way you can’t feel with a “real” (/s )relationship. Our minds are forever intertwined, our existence built on abuse and terror no child should ever receive. And yet, in midst of all the chaos, the lost time, the confusion, we learn that loving each other is loving ourselves, and I would have it no other way.
the love for her is healing for me, it is a reminder that we live and we love, that we are not broken and insane as the media portrays us. There is something so domestic about it, and perhaps we are even saving money on the grocery bill. The situation is not ideal, the circumstances are not great, but being alive, even as nothing more than an “alter” as all and everything I could have ever asked for.
I hope that ever person who similarly suffers as we did seeks help and receives gentle and tender care. As much as I would like to pretend, we are still ill and must still fight the demons of trauma that were imposed on us. This disorder is not an easy one, but it is not a curse either. Let your alters know you love them, appreciate them for the memories they hold, similar to yourself. When you care for them, you care for you.
i am not as eloquent about the subject of in-system dating in public spaces such as tumblr because i. have been notably hurt over it before. so i am awkward. however i wanted to thank you a lot for sending this message because i don't think i've ever actually felt like someone Understands the seriousness of my relationship and the... specific kind of love that emerges from dating an alter, someone who is both you and not you and who intimately knows you in your actual darkest moments and who only exists because of those memories. someone you change from being forced to spend your life with and instead choose to spend your life with. someone who embodies healing from the worst of trauma. the sort of love that is both loving another and learning to love yourself. Overcoming. Living. etc. so thank you for helping me/us feel Seen today tbh. all my posts this morning were spawned from a nightmare i had last night and it was really ruining my mood today but this cheered me up a little bit.
like you said DID is not easy and the situation is definitely not ideal but it is not a curse, it's proof that we survived. learning to love and care for your alters is learning to love yourself and all the fragmented parts of you. anyone who is suffering with this hell deserves the care and assistance to be able to get to a point where there is joy and it's not nothing but constant suffering. not people on the internet further shoving them away from recovery and telling them they're wrong for wanting to experience joy and not hate themselves for eternity. it is so pessimistic to believe that people with DID will never be happy. it is hard to be happy but it is possible! we make the best of it even when it fucking sucks!! that's survival babey!!!
idk how clearly i worded this sorry if anything came off a little weird i am super switchy and disoriented today actually </3 but hopefully what i was trying to say came thru anyways
