Which SEEMS perfectly plausible, if a bit of a stretch... it feels a bit odd, though, since she’s a member of the cult.

I guess that’s not that unusual, though. The death cult is SECRET, so it wouldn’t be THAT weird for members to have friends on the outside who seem to be completely oblivious to the supernatural goings on in Mayview.

So confused where fandom/fic writers got this interpretation that Miles does stupid shit that doesn’t make sense or barely works out in the end or puts his friends in unnecessary danger all the time. Like in both movies the others simply underestimate him and don’t understand what Miles is doing cause he thinks like Miles, not like your everyday Spiderman. He uses his Venom Strike to throw Kingpin in the ITSV movie and literally saves Gwen and Peter because they went into battle less than ready. Then had the entire plan to lure the Spiders in ATSV, yet I keep seeing him written like he doesn’t think or gets his friends in trouble even when he understands the danger. Most of the time his different thinking has helped or led people to fix personal issues.

The first movie alone pretty much sets in stone that the exact opposite of what he wants is others to get hurt by his actions, inactions or the actions of others and trying to live up to that belief and the expectations it carries. Across the Spider-verse hammers it home with how he constantly tries to save people because that’s what he should do, rather than listen to some theory that is clearly not absolute at best and outright wrong at worst. Every fic has him being the one to cause issues and not fix them when his planning and actions literally helped save Gayatri and her father.  (c’mon we know the glitching was the spot)

Yeah, I get making him stubborn or strong willed cause he doesn’t listen all the time but usually it’s for a good and valid reason, if he listened every time he was told not to, guess how many of our beloved characters would be dead?

I have a lot of grievances over how Vitani's Lion Guard was executed in the finale, but I think the one thing that would've saved it [or made it less bs] is to have them all be different animals. Same characters, personalities, voice actresses (and maybe eye-color?), and you can even keep the all-female guard, just different species of animals that would've made the ending come full circle rather than having its narrative be circular.

Like, Vitani's the one-lion on the Guard who's the leader/fiercest.

Shabaha would be a caracal cat since those motherfuckers can jump high and compete with other, bigger predators for food (we were robbed oa caraca, in TLG anyways so this would've been perfect.

Tazama would be a Secratarybird since they can run fast but also have sharp vision as birds of prey.

Imara would be a South African Rock Python, her strength being her coils and jaw vice - In fact, they could've easily saved time and effort by just co-opting the rock python from Season 1, pulling the ultimate Chekov's Gun by turning a background character into a major game player in the finale (also serving as a heroic parallel to Ushari and giving us a non-villainous snake, not enough of which are shown in media)

Kasi as an African Wild Dog (known for their stamina unlike the cheetah, and again, don't get enough appearances in animated animal-based media sans Wild Kratts)

and tbh the time skip in switch and knights climax events is what makes me the most mad of it all. Ultimately, I am really scared and worried on whether they'll drag Godfather plot Again into Eden climax. I don't care that he's really important!! If it's possible to write a story without dragging Godfather in then why not!!! But alas, climax curse — when was the last time we had a climax that is not batshit insane— oh right Crazy:B climax, and also Alkaloid. Okay but they don't count since they're going to have that special tour in April to compensate

If they *really* want to include Godfather plot, they really need to tone down the intensity because it feels like everything is just for shock value — or if they want to keep the intensity, don't just cram in it such a short amount

Room temperature take but Azure Gleam's second half would have been a much better story if instead of Thales the main villain were the real uncle Arundel instead. Thales sucks as a villain for Dimitri, he's a literal stranger, there's just no drama there. Give me some actual family betrayal! I wanna see Dimitri have a breakdown about having to kill not just one, but TWO asshole uncles!
