I love Adam for his complicated story, personality, for his own struggles, motivations and how they are represented in game. These small environment storytelling pieces and music that creates the mood (wait redswa it isnt abt the environment). What im trying to say. Through the gameS - dxhr and dxmd - we can see how Adam is healing from his trauma, and how heavy it was. Also needet to be noted how he interacts w another characters. AND this tension between him and Frank but how at the end of the day (but lit at panchaea) Frank is still cares a lot abt Adam.

Also Adam is just like my bestie. Moral think for yourself. Yeah.

Pritchard

ONE thing i need to say abt frank is HESSS JUST LIKE MEE FRR, and now imagine some kind of cringe sigma phonk playing on the background. Yeah thats it. I relate to him so much but like. in more✨deep infj cringe way✨ Have you evere feel like Pritchard is gonna explode from nerves or even neurotism? Its 2028 and AI is already taken big steps in development. Questions of self-consciousness of an AI were asked in a lot of sci-fi creations. And deus is not not an exception. Love how Eliza obtains her own conscious during the game and how it leads to project Hyron at the end. I have a lot of thought abt p. Hyron overall. Another topic ngl.

idk if theyre teachers in the same universe at the same time but i love the idea of either of them teaching, obviously in part having been inspired by mr keating and experiencing firsthand how much a good teacher can impact u and wanting to give other kids that experience

if it IS the same universe they probably work in the same district bc u know, they live together, its probably closest for both

todd would work at an elementary/middle school and neil would work at a high school (or maybe they'd both work at the same k/6-12 school) so a few years later when a kid would say they went to x school neil would ask if they had mr anderson n then would talk abt him a bit :) (regardless of if they said yes or no. he just likes to talk abt him)

It wasn't unusual if you couldn't sleep at night. You weren't a person who needed a lot of sleep. Usually you just lay there and watch your girlfriend sleep. Mina was actually a very strict and disciplined woman and that you could watch her sleep was a privilege.

It was currently 2 a.m. From outside the rain pelted against the window pane of your bedroom, while the bright full moon lit the room pleasantly and you could watch the face of your sleeping girlfriend. And Mina could say what she wanted, but she just looked cute when she slept.

As so often, you braided the few locks of hair that were messy on her pillow and you knew she would probably be upset about it the next morning. Not because her hair would be even more messy than it was every morning anyway, but simply because then she would know that you hadn't slept again.

And while you were playing with her hair that night and watching her face twitch in her sleep because of what she was dreaming, you noticed that it was still not enough. You wanted to see her beautiful eyes, hear her voice, you just wanted her attention. And that's why you decided to wake her up.

"Mina?" You whispered softly, examining her face for any reaction, but nothing happened.

"Baby .." you begged a little louder again.

This time Mina hummed in agreement, still with her eyes closed, but better than nothing.

"Could you wake up for me, please? I'm bored .." you mumbled and put your hand on her cheek to use your thumb to smooth her pale skin. And a few seconds later your girlfriend finally opened her eyes to stare at you tiredly and frowning.

the filming and editing. well maybe it's just me but I didn't really like it. yk when you're watching a youtuber and they do those zoom in things and it's sort of fast and funny? I think there were a few times the movie did that and i didn't like it.

this is literally the idea that television and movies have in making it super easy to get into ivy leauges. as if some in state college isn't up to society's standards of where or where not it's ok to go to college. it's when gabriella montez goes to stanford, troy goes to berkely, ryan evan goes to julliard, teddy duncan goes to yale, cody martin is accepted to princeton, HANNAH MONTANA does to stanford.

and lara jean wants to study english lit. she never says “i want to go to stanford because of their great english lit program”. it’s only “i want to go to stanford because my boyfriend is going and i have no other life outside of him

fine. make your characters seem awesome by making them go to awesome colleges. but still. this is upseting.

you know how awesome it is to hear UVA, the college I've always wanted to go to, in a published book? and for them to just rip it away- espeically when UVA is so attainable?? Yea yea movie directors, i get it, UVA isn't good enough for you. whatever.

They had AT LEAST 5 MONTAGES. 5. FIVE. WHO NEEDS THAT MANY MONTAGES. To quote my friend "the movie is all montage and 30 mins of plot" AND I CAN'T FIND IT IN MYSELF TO DISAGREE WITH HER.

AND THE DANCES. I REALLY DIDN’T NEED TO SEE NOAH CENTINEO DO WHATEVER HE CALLS “DANCING” IN 2 MONTAGES. I know everyone fell in love with noah in the first movie, but i’m pretty sure everyone fell out of love with him in this one.

literally did anyone read the freaking book? Remember how- in the book right? Margot was actually really not ok with Trina bc she's sort of replacing their mom? and Margot is rlly not ok with it but gets over it?? see how that was summarized in like 5 seconds in the movie? Oh i'm sorry you used all your time for the movie making STUPID MONTAGES but can we get some actually emotionally beats next time?? thanks.

ok this is a big problem i have with the movie. in the 3rd book, peter tries to have a relationship with his dad who ran away from him years ago. He struggles with that relationship the whole book. This is good stuff. people can relate to this. the scene in the diner where peter “confronts” his dad was CRINGEY. It could be noah’s acting but i couldn’t take him seriously. AND HE FORGIVES HIS DAD AFTER 30 SECONDS. the movie tries to include these smaller storylines but can’t because of the time limit. i’m no screenwriter, but i’m sure there could have been a way to subtly move that plot line during the entire movie rather than that one conversation in the diner

and in the book, peter has to train for lacrosse so he has to eat healthy which stresses him out. i specifically remember him getting mad at someone (maybe it was john ambrose, i don’t remember fully) for EATING HIS CARROTS. this just shows that peter has a life too. he has to worry about lacrosse along with losing lj. but no, the movie makes him look like the perfect boyfriend who has no other worries in life except for the girl in front of him

remember how- in the book (right?? bc they had a book to go off of???) Stormy was a part of the 3rd book? like a BIG part?? They LITEALLY just used her as John Ambrose's grandmother (WHICH IM PRETTY SURE THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO IN THE MOVIES). literally, stormy and john ambrose were throw away characters in the second movie and i am infurriated. BUT ALSO I LOVE JOHN AMBROSE HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TO HIM??

and remember, how in the book, how the dog's name is "Jamie Fox-Pickle" and they changed it to HENRY??? where is the flavor. what was the reason. SERIOUSLY.

BUT ALSO. CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT THERE WAS A POINT IN THE PLOT WHERE PETER'S MOM TOLD LARA JEAN TO BREAK UP WITH PETER. DOES NO ONE ELSE REMEBER THAT?? AND THEY CUT IT ALL OUT OF THE SCRIPT?? LIKE WHY. WHAT WAS THE REASON.

ok those are my biggest book grievances I think. but lemme just say, they NEVER went to NEW YORK. They literally wrote that in for the purposes of NYU. in the book, Chris and Lara Jean DRIVE to UNC because that's ATTAINABLE. BC THEY'RE STATE UNIVERSITIES. ANYWAYS

LJ’s and Chris’s spontaneous trip to unc showed their friendship in a good way. I never really liked chris as a friend to lj but during the trip, they are besties and it shows. the movie tries to do that in ny but peter is also in ny for some reason. she should have fell in love with ny WITHOUT peter at her side nagging her to sneak out and go on a date. she should have spent more time with chris rather than thinking about peter while she was watching the band.

the scene where Lara Jean is in New York and at the party and she sees the band? To all the boys I've loved before: Always and forever?? more like To all the boys I've loved before: gay awakening time.

when they moved the pink couch to the subway? WHy? They wanted snazzy pics.

when Lara Jean and Peter were making up and it was a really cute sequence AND THEN THEY MADE HER LOSE HER V CARD. FINE. I GET HOW THAT'S REALISTIC BUT IT WAS A CUTE SCENE. MY FRIEND ALMOST STARTED CRYING AND THEN LJ LOST HER V CARD AND WE COULDN'T STOP SCREAMING.

this is different from what was in the book (for the 100th time). In the book, they don’t do it and it shows that you can be in a high school relationship without being physical. I strongly appreciate that message. This darn movie had to have her lose her v card. WHY. IT ADDED NOTHING TO THEIR RELATIONSHIP. THE YEARBOOK SIGNING WAS SYMBOLIC ENOUGH

the montage where it's a montage of all of lara jean's and peter's cute moments?? ok fine. that was cute. but they literally just took scenes from past movies. imagine the impact if we like hidden moments from their relationships. maybe they're laughing in the car together. maybe they're watching they sunset. maybe peter is looking at her lovingly while she sleeps. WHAT IF. it WASN'T a montage of all the "bigger" moments of their relationship, and we got to see them just exist.

while i didn't like most of the songs, "like me better" by lauv will always be loved. especially since it's a call back from the first movie?? I can ftw

WHY WASN’T “LIKE ME BETTER” THEIR SONG???? I really thought it was a good song to be their song and they referenced it in the beginning. No offense to the “beginning middle and end” people, but i felt no attachment to that song.

favorite season and why

Winter! Even if I’ve never experienced snow or winter before, the whole idea of snow is just really fun and endearing to me. One of my bucketlists is to see snow in real life. I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve always been this person to prefer the cold over heat.

I’ve always been here! Just not in kpop tumblr. I’ve since deleted my old accounts and shame  but i came back to write. It’s always been so stress-relieving to me, to write without any expectations on my back because I’m thinking about grades or a competition. Also Soobin simping is a daily thing and I gotta release it somewhere man

are you happy with where you are in life right now? why or why not?

Yes. I may not be the richest or the prettiest, or smartest or whatever, but I have a good family that loves me. I have good friends that support me and I have TXT and BTS to help me cope when things get overwhelming. I have a job that gives me a little bit of income (it’s not too common for college students here to get jobs like in the US, most of them just focus on acads) and all the means to continue my education amidst the pandemic. So really, I’m grateful for where I am now.

i’ve been thinking about this since LAST NIGHT and tbh ??? i don’t think i can pick? ? i just love love love love her harry characterization the most!! the most !!!!!!!!!!!! like... full on would die for walk that mile harry ?? i wish i was joking and i wish i wasn’t such a fangirl yet here we are. my english lit ba aint no help right now because i can’t even fully articulate what it is that i love so much about her fics so that was a lot of money and time wasted tb h... 

seriously though there’s just such a sharp realism yet soft romance to her fics that transcends the romcom genre – not that i have ANYTHING against romcom/romance as a genre but a lot of it is based on fantasies that we indulge in though (maybe because ???) we know it’s not real life. but caitlin’s fics have the best kind of domesticity that’s r e a l  yk?? which is great in a different way and makes me go all soft and pleased. 

like.... i’m not even THAT into friends to lovers as a trope and yet wild love is one of my absolute favourite fics ever because the way they are written as developing feelings for each other is so careful and well paced. just.... art. i wish i could master characterisation like that it’s truly something else.

13. What type of AUs are your favorites? Give a general description.

My absolute favourite is prob. famous / non famous!! I live for it, esp. when it brings strains to the relationship and it gets really ansgty. I also really love fantasy AUs with strong worldbuilding (including really plot-oriented ABO). Any type of historical AUs I really appreciate. I also have a HUGE soft spot for amnesia fics or other grave injuries fic, esp. when it’s mixed with secret relationships. (literally all my favourite tomlinshaw fics have that trope lol…. just gimme that angst) Obvs I enjoy some of the most “romcom” trope like fake dating, hate to love, ex to lovers…. I dig friends to lovers too, but I’m not a fan when it’s like…. childhood best friends where we see them as kids a lot. I don’t think everyone is good at writing kids and I’m not a huge kids person so unless it’s done really well I don’t really get into it yk ? Finally, as a huge movie buff I adore movie AUs when they’re well adapted. Yk when someone makes it completely their own and it feels familiar and comforting, but brand new at the same time ?? I fucking love that.

Hummmmmmmmmmm…. Yes & no ? Some of my IRL friends know without knowing the fandom… Others are part of the fandom so they know I read and write it. My mom knows I read & write it. Mostly I’d say it’s not something I advertise? Like… as an English major it’s a lit phenomenon I’m super interested in discussing in general, so it does come up in conversation when I talk to people, but I rarely expand on my own reading habits when it does yk ?

here’s some fics i’ve really been wanting to read recently and i’m kinda thinking maybe i’m really going to have to write them all myself : 

- a labyrinth au in which louis is babysitting the two younger twins and gets sick of them crying so he calls goblin king harry to get rid of them. only ofc he realises his mistake quickly and ends up having to defeat harry’s labyrinth to get his siblings back. it would have to be less creepy/predatory than in the movie though. like, harry would be a mischievous, but lonely character, not cruel, and they’d fall in love as louis makes his way through harry’s magical realm. maybe harry ends up being torn because he loves louis so he wants him to succeed in saving his siblings, but at the same time if he beats the labyrinth then he’s going to leave ???? idk there would have to be some magical Theory stuff like maybe magic has a price and even though harry is king once things are set in motion he can’t do anything about it so even if he ends up wanting to help louis he can’t….. and louis wouldnt be a teenager like sarah in the movie cos that’s creepy af…. maybe he’s back home from uni for a weekend, or reading week or something…. and there’d be exquisite description of goblin king harry’s ridiculously tight outfits and a lot of glitter….

Stuff Happens when the kid invites louis to one of their performances because he’s their fav teacher/a mentor for them … Also niall is an english prof or a philosophy prof in this. this really needs fleshing out but what i’m saying is more late 30s/early 40s/mid 40s larry pls
