Random Fact:

since it’s waitangi day (basically like....our declaration of independence.....kind of.....sort of......its complicated) today, this feels appropriate: my great-great-great grandmother was a prominent maori chieftess and one of only around five women to sign the treaty of waitangi. also, through that maori side of my family, the guy on the nz $50 bill is a great-great uncle :P
