This year in things that seem to want to be written, but *I* didn't expect to be writing.

Sephikura Soulmates following a very simple concept: Love doesn't conquer all, actually.

I've known for a long time that I was fascinated by the whole concept that sometimes love isn't enough - esp not by itself. Like, it doesn't fix things. It doesn't undo that sometimes you're terrible for each other, or that sometimes you've done something that can't be forgiven. Or even like, even if it is forgiven - it's not because of 'love'.

The concept means a lot to me because I internalized it very young do to Circumstances. Sometimes two people love each other to death - but they're not good for each other. Because love isn't just. The feeling. It isn't just. Flirting and smiling and whatnot. It's... work. It's choosing every day to work on it, to find compromises, to choose to be together.

Sometimes it's putting someone above yourself. Sometimes it's recognizing that you need something they can't give you.

Anyway I don't actually think it will be. Like. A bad ending. I think eventually they'll make it work, between them. But it will be work, especially since Canon Ensues:tm: and leaves them both, you know, a mess.

(don't worry all the lovely things that have been mentioned previously are still on the table. I have So much I want to write around taking requests and the job search)
