Sylki 'Beauty and the Beast' AU (yes of course she's the Beast!), except I don't actually know it that well and have never seen the Disney movie so the ending might not be whatever the usual ending is. Which I have tagged as 'Ambiguous' not so much for what happens but for how the characters feel about. Let me know how it seemed to you!

Summary/Snippet: This room has been tended to with obvious care, far more than any other part of the house that he has seen thus far. There are bookcases ready to hold the volumes from his own shelves at home - and his things do indeed look to be already here, still in their boxes, waiting for him - and a large wardrobe that should take all of his clothes easily. The bed has a dark wood frame and the bedding is a rich green - his favourite colour, though surely the Beast cannot have known that . He finds the key on the desk by the window, just as he was told it would be, though he also finds that the windows themselves are covered with shutters he can’t see any way to open. Which is less of a problem than it might otherwise be because the room is lit mostly by artificial lighting, a surprisingly modern feature of the house. Well, the Beast is certainly wealthy enough to indulge in novelties.
