What's the name of the virtual race app? I'd also like to walk more and that sounds neat

I use The Conqueror and the husband has used Pacer. There are several virtual race apps out there; most of them do virtual postcards or points of interest along the way, which is really nice. (Some of them have street view built in too.)

They're usually about $30-$40 per race, in all the apps I've seen, tho most of them do sales or bundles which can bring that down, which covers the virtual/app support and the medal they mail out.

I like Conqueror specifically because you can edit your start and end dates at any time if your life goes batshit, or your Fitbit or Strava or whatever didn't connect automatically so you have to backdate some entries, and their deadlines for activating a code or finishing a race are really generous.

(Which is a thing you should check if you look up any other apps. Some of them are less forgiving, which some people need so they actually do the thing, but would kill my motivation completely. ymmv & all that)

They're very flexible re: what activity you track, and even have some races that have two separate mileage goals, whether you're primarily walking or biking, which is neat.

They do also let you do teams, if having a walking/running buddy helps you get moving. Maybe try not to team up with someone who's tracking biking or something vs your walking, because the disparity in mileage can be disconcerting instead of encouraging. 😅

Conqueror also partners with veritree & Plastic Bank and will plant trees or remove ocean plastic based on milestones you hit in the race, which again, makes me smile while walking around, so... 👍

The way defending jm is literal "hard work" for me not because i can't defend him it's because i literally don't know anything about other artists??? If i have to defend him against some artists who's fans are dragging jm i literally had to start from ABC like i need to start with learning the artists' name then their Fandom name then how to spell both, then the song ppl are comapring then what's the difference in actual thing between that song and jm's etc etc. Like i know all things about jm but idk shit Sherlock about others. That's why my most of tweets defending jm are against other members' fans and armys because i atleast know some basics of those members because of all the army accts that land on my tl from update to translation accts but with others i just don't know shit.

I'm not a usual k-pop fan so my k-pop revolves around jm only. I have heard few of other artists who i might get recommended on my tl because of that k-pop algorithm but yeah it's not regular at all. It's a once in a while thing. i don't seek the k-pop music so I'm not really aware of many artists and what goes on there unless i see fights on my tl. and i find most of the fights so ridiculous like p be dragging artists because they wore similar outfits "your fav copied MY fav" like who fking cares it's just an outfit move?? then we have dumb bitches aka jjks dragging jm and the new CEO because she made jm stay?? it's like pancakes and waffles. Losers think just because she was one of the person who wanted jm to stay means she hates jk lol. After too long i had arguments with jjks Today and now i feel like virtual slapping them and nothing else. These ppl really make me violent.

Then yesterday i was on YouTube watching jm reaction videos then came across 2-3 shorts with 5-6k+ commets and all were about praising jm (one was about his vocal and other was an edit of dance challenge he did of guilty and someone edited it with stray kids guy hyunjin or smth and everyone was praising jm) and being honest i have seen thousands of comments praising jm for vocals and dance on YouTube like those praises are more a common thing on YouTube than other sns so i was like "wow" and then came across 2 desi BTS edits and remembered why i don't fk with YouTube, insta side of fandom because these desi edits makes me wanna slap someone as well. The Lying and manipulating is crazy there. And i hate it more because I'm desi.

Again gonna delete the app, like i was away for some time and logged in today because jjks pissed me off but going again bruh cause these losers make my blood boil and i can't be in that mood always lol.

I don’t know much about other groups either. Just the standard lot that always seem to go after Jimin. (which is where the luck lies ig) One thing I will say though, during that whole Enhypen drama. When armys actually do move to defend Jimin, they do it well. Clever drags backed with facts will always be better than the incoherent animal name calling a lot pjms tend to do tbh.

Jjks think that anything for Jimin is inherently against jk no matter how trivial it might be. Seeing them come up with the ploy of linking that woman to being the CEO of the DC Gallery. Banking on armys underlying resentment of Jimin, hatred of pjms and inability to think for themselves to just go along with such a blatant lie. (although most of them caught on)

I’ve never put too much stock in YouTube reactors because a lot of them feel very disingenuous to me, but seeing army and other solos get so worked up over people mainly noticing Jimin first is so amusing. That’s why the bulk of them thrive in the circle jerk of kpop twitter. It validates their own view better.

Congratulations on gaining this newfound self-confidence and all of the hard work/consistent effort it must've taken to get to this stage of life (maintenance work included).

Remember these fundamental truths:

Everyone is primarily focused on themselves: People are too focused on themselves, their personal goals/desires, and how they're perceived to really care to watch what you're doing. This is a liberating truth to realize – it gives you free rein to break out of people-pleasing mode and start focusing on doing what makes you most happy/fulfilled.

No one will care as much as you do about your success and wish fulfillment in life: As stated before, everyone else is focused on their own inner worlds, priorities, goals, and everyday responsibilities. You need to be your own greatest advocate. You lose by default if you don't enter the game to begin with. Operate from a headspace of you're going to be your own greatest cheerleader and win no matter what because you believe in yourself. Authentic confidence and self-belief are the two gifts no "competition" could ever take away from you.

Understand that other people's actions are reflections of their own lived experiences, desires, and goals, and are out of your control: This is why it's so important to stop caring about the potential (or perceived) competition and what others think. You only can control your own efforts – to take action, learn, pivot, and grow. The reasons why others criticize (not constructively, I mean) you are often projections of their negative self-talk and suppressed insecurities. Other people's actions are executed in their own best interest. You need to do the same and see your future self as your only competition – she's the only person's goals for whom you hold the most decision-making power and control.

Like everything else, calculated risk-taking is a mental muscle that takes time and patience to build. Throughout your journey, you'll learn proper "form" aka criteria on how to decide when to act and when it is in your best interest to refrain from engaging in a certain "risk-taking" activity (I mean like sending that email, text, posting that photo, etc.) and build resilience to better withstand rejection, criticism, and the noise of other people's opinions.

First, focus on the bigger picture: What do you want out of life and why? What smaller goals would you need to achieve to reach these ultimate aspirations?

Work your way backward to your present situation: What are the next action steps you can take to move closer to your first milestone goal(s)? Choose one calculated risk to take at a time. Send that email that leaves you vulnerable to a potential rejection one day. Make that phone call to reconnect with the person you've been afraid to have that vulnerable conversation with a few days later. Post that Instagram post/story or TikTok video and immediately close the app.

You need to become the leader of your own life or someone else will lead it for you. You're only playing yourself by holding yourself back when sitting on the bench instead of practicing for the big leagues.

I was thinking about how things change and I find it kind of interesting but I remember around 2015 was when mainstream social media eg instagram started to become somewhat political (for the average user) and became a source of education additional to selfies.. I remember around that time being referred to as “woke” (to be fair my wokeness has likely majorly regressed over the past 6-8yrs as a result of hibernation) but when someone called you “woke” it was a positive term like I genuinely remember hearing people talk about how they wanted to be as “educated” and “woke” as me or admired me and wanted to be friends with me for this reason (as a 15yro LMAO) and it was only the “alternative” kids who dared present themselves as educated and woke online bc it wasn’t common knowledge to be politically and socially knowledgeable (at least where I grew up) and doing so was kind of like making a name for yourself.. whereas now I feel like it’s just expected of young people to be socially and politically educated to some extent.. and I mean it’s not hard, because public discourse on so many topics are EVERYWHERE... While I think education is great and we should all be more informed I can't help but wonder/almost assume that this change/progression of political social media (within the mainstream ofc bc I'm aware it always existed w good intent prior) has maybe spread cause of performative factors/people wanted to make that name for themselves..to the point it all kinda became a trend.. although people realised it was so real at the same time..so then its intentions became mixed and now it is just expected idek if this makes sense... but also what is even more strange is that the connotations of the term "woke" COMPLETELY changed from something admirable like "wow that person is really woke they seem cool"(something I commonly heard in 2015) to now something that's make a mockery of eg "lmao they acting woke" along w the whole go woke go broke saga (idk if that's just in aus or worldwide... aus seems to have a problem w performativity of any kind anyway despite the fact we are endlessly playing into our own character as Australians but that's another story).. anyway idk what the point of this was cause i started writing it on my phone but then my phone died and my charger broke so I swapped to my laptop and my adhd cant hold a single thought for a second if u literally cant tell.. but its crazy how things change.. 9. Opinion on Asra?

Asra is often mischaracterised imo and held to an unfair standard that a lot of the other characters aren’t. I’ve seen many of these arguments and I’m tired.

Asra is not jealous, possessive, creepy, manipulative or shady. Not once does he act possessive towards the MC in any of the routes including his own (a possible exception could be made for the Reversed Ending, but what do you expect? That’s after the MC literally enables that behaviour).

Being sad or cautioning the MC against Julian is not being jealous or possessive. The way he talks about Julian it’s pretty obvious he felt more for the man than he realises, even if he doesn’t understand that himself.

Asra keeps secrets from the MC because canonically trying to remember too much too fast harms the MC. This has been established. In his route, he literally tells you that he hates keeping secrets from you. He takes you into his own personal gateway - an expression of trust and a willingness to open up to you. Does he do these things in the other routes? No, but that’s because you’re not spending that time with him.

I also see people angsting about how sad Asra is going to be when you tell him about Lucio in his route. Lucio harmed his parents and has been cruel to Asra so like idk what you expect. The MC doesn’t know this of course, but you do!

I think we also forget that Asra took a considerable amount of time and effort to rehabilitate the MC, care for them and reteach them basic tasks as well as magic.

Is Asra a perfect person? Of course not. He’s probably overly cautious, he can be a little distant and he reacts badly when in a crisis (see the deal he made with the Devil). He’s not always brave and not always strong, but why should we expect him to be? He’s a human being and he’s bound to have faults, but he has a generous nature and is remarkably well-adjusted considering the trauma of his childhood (don’t tell me that suddenly losing your parents is not traumatic).

10. Opinion on Julian?

I once said that Julian is likely hypersexual and I still maintain that. (For those of you who don’t know, being hypersexual is like..a tendency to engage in compulsive or self-harming sexual behaviour, sometimes as a result of trauma). I think Julian craves affection and associates sexual interest or sexual contact with his worth as a person. I don’t think he does it deliberately or to be manipulative, but because he has a definite self-esteem problem. I honestly see him as bipolar like me.

I think the way the fandom treats him as this dumbass uwu subby boy is kind of annoying. A lot of people I feel erase his bisexuality either by just ignoring it or by making homophobic jokes where the punchline is ‘ha ha he likes dick like you do!!!!’ like no shit, he’s BISEXUAL. But he’s also hard-working, brave, clever, pleasant and good-natured, and once he starts to really come into his own, he’s cheerful and optimistic. He has so many more good qualities than just ‘submissive and kinky’.

11. Opinion on Lucio?

This may surprise y’all but I actually don’t hate Lucio that much. I love to hate him as a villain.

I think he, like all of us, is a product of his environment. He grew up in a clan with a strong martial culture; his clan were warlike and frequently made war on his neighbours. We’re all influenced by our upbringing and I don’t think he’s an exception. I draw the line at saying he ‘just didn’t know right from wrong’ though. He’s not a baby.

But the differences between Lucio and the other LIs like Portia, Asra, Muriel etc is that Lucio’s life and his fate and the hardships he’s faced are almost entirely due to his own choices. It was he who decided on the eve of his eighteenth birthday to kill his parents. He sought out Vlagnagog with the intention of making a deal. He chose to continue to make deals. He knew he carried the plague and he chose to carry it across the continent including into Vesuvia, causing the deaths of thousands. He murdered and blackmailed his way across the continent. He wouldn’t have even needed to bargain for a new body if he hadn’t caught the plague that he brought into Vesuvia himself after making a deal etc.

Do I think he is a sort of cackling, villainous cliche or unrepentantly evil? No. I think he’s a person who has made deliberate choices that he is facing the consequences for and IMO it’s important that he face those consequences. I do think his main issue is entitlement and a profound lack of self-esteem (I don’t think he really believes any of the stuff he actually says about himself or other people; even Lucio’s not delusional).

I mean that’s about as generous and objective a take on Lucio as I can give you. I’ve made my feelings clear on him, but I don’t want to give the impression that I don’t actually understand him as a character, hopefully the above will prove I do haha.

12. Opinion on Muriel?

Out of all the LIs I think I relate most strongly to Muriel because of a few reasons: trauma, touch-starved, lonely and wants to connect but afraid of getting hurt (physically or emotionally).

Now that I’ve gotten personal, I really hate the way Muriel is treated by the fandom. He’s either called bland or boring, or he’s treated like he’s an animal, called feral and animalistic. He’s none of those things.

Muriel has a big complex about being alone. He was literally given away by his parents and left in Vesuvia on his own, to fend for himself on the streets. Being abandoned by his parents and not knowing why, not remembering is traumatic enough, but because of his size he’s often characterised as aggressive and strong when he’s always been gentle. Later in his life, Muriel was forced to fight and kill people against his will. I don’t think a lot of people get just how traumatic that is; not only being forced into doing Lucio’s bidding, but being forced to violently take someone’s life. I don’t blame him for leaving to live at his hut and resist connecting to anyone. It’s common for traumatized people to withdraw and isolate themselves, because the thought of getting hurt again is more frightening than being alone. But everyone needs human contact, and I think Muriel struggles a lot between wanting connection and contact (physical or emotional), between not wanting to get hurt again, to not feeling like he’s worth the effort. That struggle is something very close to my heart and that’s why I’m attached to him.

13. Opinion on Nadia?

Nadia has the biggest youngest sister complex and it’s almost amusing because I, too, have the same complex (even though I’m actually the older sibling!). Nadia, like me, feels like she’s always been compared unfavourably to her older sisters, and has felt like she has to work harder to prove she’s their equal.

It’s probably because she’s a Cancer like me. We have dual natures sometimes; the caretaker and the ringleader, who feel like we have to take it all on ourselves to get the job properly done, but who have moments where our self-doubt takes over.

I do find some aspects of Nadia’s route to be sort of odd, where it’s mentioned that the people of Vesuvia find her to be a tyrant. There’s literally no evidence to suggest that, so the only reasoning I can find next is she’s a woc. But race doesn’t matter in Vesuvia apparently so...what else could be the reason? Not to mention she’s been asleep for the past three years, so the people haven’t even seen the Countess in that time.

I feel like we didn’t really get to understand a lot about Nadia even from her route-why did she fall asleep? What on Earth did she see in Lucio? Why did she let him do all those bad things in Vesuvia before he died? (My initial thought was Cancers can be sloth-like and passive, so that could be why).

14. Opinion on Portia?

Of all the LIs I feel like it’s Portia I know the least about despite having probably the most appearances. Sure, she’s quirky and fun and cheerful, and that’s cute, but...what does she want? What does she fear? How does she feel about her brother being on trial?

I’m hoping we get to expand more of her personality in her route. I know her patron Arcana is the Star, so her route will likely be about learning to have faith in other people, but who knows.

15. What is your favourite Arcana card?

Justice. The Empress is a close runner-up.

Do you by any chance understand what bts comeback concept has to do with words 'love yourself'?? I got that album is about falling in love, being special for someone and unique moments in one's life etc. But i still can't get why they imply that the concept is about loving one's self if this issue barely was touched upon? Am i missing on smth?

but it was written in every breath they took in producing the album bby TT 

their comeback stage showed it all, they could’ve started with intro: serendipity, but no, they straight up went with ‘i need u’ the song that took them to where they are now. they mentioned how everyone cried so much when they had their very first win with i need u, especially jimin. it was in i need u that they realized they might just.. have made it, a step further. if you’ve been with them for a while, you’d know how dirty bangtan and army were treated, like really we were dissed left and right it was really a tough situation especially for k-armys they can’t even be proud of our boys or even mention their names in articles without getting ridiculed just cos they’re not ‘big’ TT and even when we had our first win, bangtan still get called out for ridiculous reasons that’s just. the fact that they made their comeback with i need u shows just how much they treasure the moment the fans that made it possible at that time, i need u was the breakthrough, i need u made them realize that they can actually be… happy now, and move forward. and maybe love themselves more, and performing mic drop afterwards shows exactly that :)

so when bangtan says this they mean it wholeheartedly like a friend, like an older brother because they know how bad we have it for them, they know how much influence they have on us, as much as we ahve on them. despite scolding us, albeit, in a loving manner, they really want the best for us. unlike the original story where the pied piper drove the children away from the town of hamelin when the town ppl refuse to pay for his service in luring the plague causing rats away, bangtna isn’t set to lure us away, they in fact, want us to go to them, be with them, love with them, but in addition, we have to set our priorities in real life straight, so that, everyone can appreciate our love too, and maybe, the society won’t put much hate on us anymore.

theres a reason why bangtan made the skit and sea as hidden tracks, you have to undertsand that bangtan has come a longg way. and one of the reasons why they were finally able to get their first win the last time was through purchase of physical copies, which helped tremendously raise the sales. bangtan may be celebrated and loved wordlwide but back in their home ground, they were nobodies, which is why buying physical copy always meant more even (especially for k-fandoms) since you’re willing to go for an extra mile, its part of kfandom culture for fans to invest a lot of time and money for their group supports and projects to help get their fave name out there, sure you can like/listen to other groups but ultimately, hundreds of idols debut eveyr year so in order to make sure your group lasts a long time, korean fans consider it very important to pledge their loyalty to a single group and support them with all you have, this is why it was even harder for karmys because we come from small company :’)

and now that they are getting success tremendously over the past year (BANGTAN’S #7 ON BILLBOARD 200 GUYS PLEASE GIVE YOURSELFVES A PAT WE DID THAT), love yourself is to be quite honest, an album dedicated to armys all round, and those two tracks are just a little bit more intimate, and more on a personal level, which is why it was hidden from the rest of the world, i’d like to think that the reason they kept it hidden in a physical copy because they know for certain that only their fans would purchase a physical copy, and that they want us to be the first ppl to hear it, to listen to their laments, their grieves, their happiness, their love, they just wanna them share with us first and foremost, because they know only we would get it, because we’ve been there
