honestly just in general it's very exhausting to try to analyze media that is literally meant to be analyzed, only for the replies to be filled with people arguing not against your analysis, but against the premise that the media can be analyzed at all.

i don't even know what to say about it without starting to really betray my frustration, so i'll just settle with— just don't engage with analysis posts? I'm serious. if you're typing a response to a media analysis post, reread what you've written and ask yourself "is this comment/response against the very concept of analyzing the media at all?" and if the answer is yes then delete it all and go sit in the shame corner. throw your curtains away if you want to so bad and stop telling me that I'm not allowed to hum and haw at the fact mine are blue

I was rewatching the anxiety attack scene while paying particular attention to Ennui during it because, if you've never noticed, her expressions during this part of the movie are goddamn heart breaking.

Seriously, the way she looks at Anxiety just....... it drives me crazy, man. Given how expressionless she is in the rest of the movie, you can really tell how much seeing this fucked her up.

But I wanted to draw special attention to this shot, which I've never noticed before and I can't stop thinking about. When Anxiety is just starting to really freak out, we get this shot:

I'm highlighting this shot not just because, again, her expression is devastating, but also because, look at her phone. They specifically positioned her phone in this shot so that you can see she has the console app open. At this point in the movie, it's been a long while since we've seen her take the controls, she would have no real reason to have the console app open.

I think she was trying to take the controls from Anxiety.

I think she saw that Anxiety was starting to spiral and tried to step in to stop it, but by that point Anxiety was too out of control to stop.

Poor Ennui, she just tried to help. Ennui cares, she cares a lot.

Linktober day twelve- favourite game

Skyward sword! My favourite game forever :)) The duets with Fi are by far my favourite gameplay aspect and recurring scenes in the game.

The music is The Ballad of the Goddess with Link's harp accompaniment. I played through on three different instruments like fifteen times, and checked every note on ocarina before I carved it. So. It's very accurate. Close ups of the music +my reference because yes

can i just say. and this is probably a niche hill to die on. that i am so gobsmacked every time someone vaguely hints at the idea that jotaro doesn't care meaningfully for the other crusaders, usually particularly kakyoin and joseph, when those two actually tend to be the ones he reacts to being hurt the hardest

I wish everyone saw it with the same amount of, like, kind of enthusiasm. I think all of this and all the development and all the potential arcs, that's going to fcking allow for something absolutely incredible.

And if anyone ends up clipping any of this, something I do want to say is I implore people to view everything with a lot of enthusiasm. No stress, no anxiety, just a lot of enthusiasm. Because, again, this is going to allow for a lot of cool things in the server. Not just now, but in the future, too.
