✩ WEEKLY FIC ROUND-UP ✩
All the fics I’ve read and really enjoyed in the past week-ish. Reminder: This list features any and all ratings and themes. Please look at tags and warnings on ao3 before reading.
DC
my dearly departed by redrobin1989
Kon heard the stories about how Tim had fallen apart after he died. He couldn’t imagine what Tim had gone through, what he’d been feeling. Even now, with the shoe now on the other foot, Conner doesn’t know how to cope. Especially when he needs to keep his boyfriend’s collapsing family together.
Exit Strategy by smilebackwards
Batman needs a Robin and Batman has a Robin. Tim is just extraneous now, vestigial. He’s a bandage over a healed wound. He doesn’t know what he’s hanging on to.
Or: Tim didn’t expect his exit strategy from the Batfamily to involve quite so much bonding time with Damian over Wayne Enterprises bureaucracy.
the capillaries in my eyes are bursting by Scarlet_Ribbons
Bruce grunts, standing up. “Jenkins said the same. What about what you weren’t told?”
And without dissembling, Jason says, “I think they fucked that kid up, B.”
[Jack and Janet die. As things get weirder and weirder, it feels like Tim might be at the center of the unfolding conspiracy.]
Stranger Things
and i know that you don’t, but if i ask you if you love me— by fakecharliebrown
Once, only a few weeks before his parents decide he’s too old to be tucked into bed at night, Steve grabs his mother by the wrist and asks, “Does Father love me?”
“Of course he does,” she says immediately, smoothing the blanket where it rests over his chest.
Steve blinks up at her. “Then how come he never says it?”
She purses her lips. “He shouldn’t have to, sweetheart. You should just know.”
(It isn’t until years down the line that Steve realizes she’d somehow turned that into being his fault.)
or; Steve Harrington through the years, on loving and being loved.
Percy Jackson
percy jackson and the scrutiny of his coworkers by pqrker
Jim turned back to the tank and looked at Marcie the seal, who was now staring at the spot his coworker had been standing just moments before with that same strange look of reverence in her eyes.
Percy Jackson truly was the oddest person Jim Elpool had ever worked with.
Or: 5 times percy's coworkers were confounded by his fish magic, plus 1 time they try to figure it out.
Star Wars
Bounty by smilebackwards
"You took a puck for Luke Skywalker?”
Din looks up at the tenseness in Cara’s voice.
“Yes?” The puck for Skywalker had been passed over by half a dozen hunters, surprising considering the price on his head, but Din had assumed that was because his last known location was Coruscant. The Core is a dangerous place to hunt bounties.
“If I didn’t consider you a friend,” Cara says, with a tone that sounds like she’s reconsidering it, “I’d shoot you where you stand for admitting that."

The blob finished rotating into place in a way that wasn’t quite compatible with geometry as Shen Qingqiu understood it, and cleared a throat it didn’t seem to have.
“Greetings,” it said, somehow clearly addressing him in particular more than the room as a whole despite its total lack of features other than blueness and translucency. “I’m here on behalf of the Hyper-Celestial Peace and Order Enforcement Bureau. “Dinner?”
“We'll see what we've got, cricket.”
The sound of voices in the hallway broke through Matt’s sleeping mind, pulling him back to consciousness. Groggily stirring on his couch, Matt tried to focus his senses around him as he rubbed a hand across his forehead. Waking from sleep always left him a bit disoriented, especially the rare times he allowed himself a short nap.
“Chicken nuggets?”
“You know I'm–I'm not too sure if we have any left, but we can look when we get inside.”
Pushing himself slowly upright on the couch with a hand, the leather groaned beneath his weight. As he continued to listen to the voices outside of his apartment, Matt quickly realized he was overhearing you and your daughter in the hallway. Leaning forward and resting his elbows along his thighs, he tilted his head towards the wall where the pair of you were now standing in front of your own apartment door.
“I’m hungry.”
“I’m sure we have something I can make for dinner tonight, Evie.”
A frown settled on Matt’s mouth, his tired eyes narrowing as he focused closer on your body out in the hall. It sounded sluggish, as if you were exhausted and low on energy, and if he concentrated really hard, he could hear the faint rumblings of your stomach. You were both hungry. And with the hesitant way you’d just responded to your daughter along with the burst of anxiety inside of you at your last statement, he’d begun to wonder how true it actually had been.
Shifting on the couch, Matt did what he’d told himself he wouldn’t continue to do. He focused on you as you made your way into your apartment. He found it odd how your young daughter didn’t seem to say much, even now when it was just the pair of you alone in your own place. Something about that unsettled him. A child so young shouldn’t constantly be so timid and quiet.
He heard you set something down on your kitchen counter–a purse most likely. He listened as you took four steps before you opened what sounded like your refrigerator door. There was a soft, quiet sigh that even he’d barely caught as you closed that door seconds later and opened the other. A few items faintly shifted around on the shelf as you clearly searched for something in your fridge.
“Sorry, cricket, there’s no chicken nuggets. I’ll have to add them to the grocery list for this weekend. But I can make us peanut butter and jelly for dinner. How does that sound?”
“No bread.”
“Oh,” Matt heard you reply, your cheerful tone instantly shifting to something disheartened. “You’re right. I uhm, I guess we might need to–to make a trip to the store before dinner then. Maybe we can find something to make for tonight.”
Your heart rate had accelerated as you spoke, the sound piquing Matt’s curiosity. Why had you suddenly become so nervous at the prospect of going shopping? But then he heard you picking up the object you’d set on your counter, the soft noise of a zipper confirming that it had indeed been your purse. That’s when he understood–you were looking for your wallet. Probably to see what cash you had on you in order to find groceries for tonight. You were probably nervous because you knew how little you’d find to help you.
Eyes closing, Matt blew out a deep breath as he buried his face in his hands. So his suspicions had been correct, you were struggling financially. Even with being able to afford to feed your daughter. He felt sick to his stomach listening to your growing panic in the apartment across the hall in what was clearly a very vulnerable moment for you.
Desperately Matt wished he could head over to your place right now, knock on your door, and offer you that job that Foggy and Karen had agreed upon letting you have earlier this week. Except there was absolutely no way Matt could realistically do that without making you entirely uncomfortable and possibly scaring you further away from him. Because he’d barely ever spoken to you, there was no realistic reason that he should’ve known about the situation you’d found yourself in or for him to offer you a job.
But he also couldn’t just sit here in his apartment and let you both continue to go hungry.
Pressing the heels of his hands into his closed eyes, he tried hard to think of how he could help you. Chewing the inside of his cheek, his mind ran over countless different ideas before it finally settled on one realistic one. Lowering his hands from his face, a small smile slipped onto his mouth. While he may not have had an excuse to go over to your place and offer you that part-time position just yet, there was something else he could do to immediately help the pair of you and possibly open the door to communication between you both.
Getting up from his couch, Matt began to make his way into the kitchen and over towards his fridge. Mentally he was already trying to prepare himself for what he would say to you when you opened the door for him because he needed to make this interaction count. He couldn’t afford to have you slam the door on his face–or worse, completely refuse to answer.
“Thank you, Mrs. Amato,” he whispered under his breath as he pulled a dish out of his fridge.
Pulling your wallet out of your purse, you tried to calm the sick feeling in your stomach. You already knew how much cash you had in there. A single twenty dollar bill. And that was all you had until you got paid again next Friday.
Plastering a smile onto your face, you glanced up at Evie. She was standing at the edge of the kitchen, the glaringly empty living room behind her only cementing your feelings of inadequacy. But now wasn’t the time for focusing on that–you needed to find a way to stretch twenty dollars and fast.
“Hey, how about you go put your backpack away in your room while I try to figure something out for dinner?” you suggested.
Silently Evie turned and headed over to her bedroom. Pressing your lips together, you watched her until she disappeared from your sight. Once she had, you focused back down on the wallet in your hands, spotting the lone twenty dollar bill sitting in your otherwise empty wallet. Shoulders dropping in defeat, you weren’t sure how you were going to make it last all of next week now.
Two soft knocks came from the door behind you, the unexpected sound startling you so much that you dropped your wallet back inside of your purse. Your heart jumped into your throat just as Evie poked her head out of her bedroom, her eyes growing wide and terrified. Yet again you did your best to plaster a calm smile on your face, not wanting to worry her further. Because while you didn’t know who was at your door, and while you were almost positive it wasn’t your ex-fiance, your fear had still sky-rocketted at the sound. The fact that someone was here when you didn't expect company was enough to put you on edge.
“It’s alright, I got it, cricket,” you told her.
Mouth going dry, you stepped out of your kitchen and nervously made your way towards the door. You weren't sure who you’d find on the other side because it had barely been a week since you'd moved in. You'd intentionally gone out of your way not to speak to anyone in the building, so there was no reason someone should've been trying to visit you right now.
Placing both of your hands very carefully against the door, you leaned forward and peered through the peephole. Sucking in a sharp breath, you were shocked to see your neighbor standing in the hallway. The same man from across the hall who you just couldn’t seem to get away from this week. You were about to lock the deadbolt and tell him to leave until he shifted his weight on his feet and you caught sight of what looked like a glass dish covered in tinfoil in his hands.
Was he bringing you food? Because that was…odd. You were in the middle of New York City, why the hell would your neighbor be bringing you food? Even where you’d lived previously just outside of the city, no one had been that friendly. Had he somehow overheard you and Evelyn talking about dinner in the hall? But even then, as you replayed the short conversation in your mind, nothing you’d said had implied that you were both in need of anything.
You’d truly contemplated telling this man to go away as you stood there watching him through the peephole. It was strange that he kept randomly appearing around you this week. But as you stood there chewing your bottom lip, you knew that if he was bringing you food–for whatever reason that he was–you weren’t entirely in the position to turn it down. Because a stranger’s kindness, however unexplainable, would certainly help you make it to your next paycheck.
Inhaling a deep breath, you tried hard to calm your nerves as you began to unlock your door. After all, he was only carrying a dish of food, not some sort of weapon, and when you’d very briefly encountered him on the roof a few nights ago he’d sounded friendly at least. Though there was still a part of you that internally screamed danger whenever you saw him, and you’d yet to put your finger on why.
Opening your door only halfway, your trembling right hand still gripping it in case you needed to slam it shut, you took in the sight of your neighbor. He was standing there in a pair of dark gray sweatpants and a crumpled olive green tee-shirt–a vast difference from the nicer suit you’d first spotted him in at the beginning of the week. There was a bright smile on his face beneath the red-tinted glasses sitting atop his nose. Your eyes didn’t fail to miss the small cut along his chin behind his stubble though, your gaze lingering along it as you nervously licked your lips.
“Can I help you?” you asked after a moment.
“Hey, I’m your neighbor across the hall,” the man greeted, his voice like honey to your ears as he spoke. “6A?”
One of his hands briefly released the bottom of the dish he was holding to gesture at the door behind himself. Your eyes followed the movement before coming back to land on the dish in his hands. It looked like a glass dish filled with lasagna and your stomach gave a faint rumble. Your hand nervously gripped your door tighter, hoping he hadn’t caught the sound as your attention returned to his smiling face.
“Hi,” you replied awkwardly.
“I just wanted to introduce myself,” he continued, clearly unphased by the tone of your voice. “My name is Matthew Murdock. I’m a lawyer over at Nelson, Murdock, and Page. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of us before, but we're known for helping out many folks in the Hell’s Kitchen area.”
“I haven’t,” you stated simply.
The man’s smile wavered for the briefest of seconds, but it didn’t completely disappear from his face. It was true, though. You hadn’t been in the city long enough to have become familiar with much in it yet. While you’d been at Hope Haven, you’d been more focused on getting you and Evie set up to make a life in Hell’s Kitchen. You didn’t exactly have a need to go searching for lawyers–not unless Daniel found you. But even then, you weren’t sure there was a single lawyer that you could afford who could save you and Evelyn from him.
“Well, we often tend to do a lot of pro bono work for clients in the area who understandably can’t afford a lawyer,” he continued, almost as if he’d read your mind. “And they tend to show their appreciation for our help with meals and baked goods–and sometimes far too much fruit.”
He chuckled good-naturedly as he held up the lasagna in his hands. Your eyes once more dropped down to the dish and you swore you could smell the delicious red sauce through the tinfoil.
“I just thought I’d bring over some food to welcome you to the building,” Matthew continued. “I know with a big move sometimes it's hard to find the time to cook or even pick up groceries, so I thought this might help give you a little break this week.” His charming smile grew even wider, crinkles forming at the corners of his eyes behind his red lenses. “But I’ll be honest and admit upfront that I did not make this lasagna, so I can't exactly take credit for it. One of our clients made it as a thank you for dealing with some issues with her landlord.”
You eyed Matthew curiously as he stood in the hallway just in front of your door, examining his friendly and charming smile beneath those red glasses. While there was a part of you that still felt an unexplainable sense of danger from him–the hair on your forearm having prickled beneath his unseeing gaze–there was a smaller part of you that felt his sincerity. After all, how often did you hear about lawyers who handled pro bono cases happily getting paid in lasagna and fruit?
Still, you found him incredibly strange and you planned to remain on your guard with him.
“And why exactly is it that you're giving away a lasagna to a neighbor you don’t even know?” you asked cautiously.
He shrugged lightly in response. “I certainly don’t need an entire lasagna for myself. I’m just one man, there’s only so much I can eat.” He paused, a soft, disarming chuckle falling past his lips again. “I’m still trying to make my way through the soup I was generously gifted the other day. But if I’m also being honest–”
He leaned forward towards you but the unexpected proximity had you startle backwards a step, your hand squeezing your door in response. Strangely it almost seemed like he’d hesitated, as if he’d somehow known you’d moved despite being unable to see you.
“I don’t want the food to go to waste and I’d much prefer to drop it by your place than over at Mrs. Henderson’s in 6C,” he finished conspiratorially. “She frightens me a little. Very big flirt, that one. Doesn’t matter if she’s in her late sixties and widowed.”
You cleared your throat awkwardly as he leaned away from you once more. Curiously you thought you saw him even shuffle a step backwards into the hallway.
“Right,” you said, uncertain how to respond to that.
“But I’m sure you’re busy this evening and I'd hate to take up any more of your time,” Matthew continued, extending the lasagna out towards you. “I was told the instructions to heat this up were on a post-it note on top, but considering that I can’t see it, I’m certainly hoping that’s true.”
You glanced down at the yellow post-it note on the tinfoil. It did in fact have the reheating instructions noted. But instead of reaching out and taking the dish from him, you awkwardly stood there, your right hand still firmly grasping your door. Matthew’s smile finally fell at your hesitation.
“I’m sorry if this is making you uncomfortable in any way. I can leave,” he said. “I was hoping this would be a friendly gesture. I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that if you ever needed something, I’m just across the hall.”
“Why?” you blurted.
His dark brows furrowed beneath his glasses, his head tilting just a bit to the side. “Why what?” he asked.
“Why’re you coming across the hall to welcome a neighbor to the building?” you questioned. “That seems quite uncharacteristic of someone in the city. At least, from the time I’ve been here so far. People are not generally this friendly unless they want something in return. And I'm not looking to owe anyone any favors.”
The charming smile returned to his mouth as he shrugged once more. “Maybe it’s my Catholic upbringing,” he told you, “but I prefer to be kind whenever the opportunity presents itself. But I assure you that I absolutely do not want anything in return. I promise.”
Your eyes dropped back down to the dish in his extended hands. You did, in fact, want to accept it, but you still felt uncomfortable at the idea of it.
“I…don't really know what to say,” you awkwardly confessed.
“You don't need to say anything at all,” he assured you.
Cautiously releasing the firm hold you had on your door, you slowly reached out and accepted the dish from his outstretched hands. You eyed him curiously as the smile on his face somehow grew wider when you did.
“Thank you,” you said softly.
“You're welcome,” he replied. “I hope you and your daughter enjoy it. And if you're a fan of baked goods, I know for a fact that we're receiving far too many peanut butter cookies on Monday. I'd be happy to drop some off because I certainly don't need them all.”
“Oh,” you breathed out, clutching the heavy glass dish in your hands, “that's alright. Really. We don't–”
You stopped short when something tugged at your dress slacks. Glancing down beside your leg you spotted Evie with one of her small fists curled around the dark fabric. She looked up at you and then over at your neighbor.
“Cookies?” she asked.
Matthew's head turned towards the sound of your daughter’s voice. The softening of his expression somehow almost completely eased that feeling of danger you often felt around him with the way he was now smiling down at Evie. He almost looked trustworthy. Safe.
Almost . Which made you even further suspicious of him.
“Hello there,” he greeted gently. “I'm–”
“Mr. Murdock,” Evie said.
Shifting the heavy casserole dish over to your left arm and cradling it against your chest, your other hand landed protectively along her back and held her close to you. You were surprised she'd even come over and spoken to him because she usually disliked strangers and kept quiet. She must have sensed something else in him than you initially had.
“That’s right,” he said, still warmly smiling in her direction. “We're always getting sent so many baked goods. And it's up to your mother, but I could certainly bring you some cookies next Monday after work if you'd like?”
Evie's attention shifted to you, her wide hopeful eyes silently pleading with you. She didn't often get sweets anymore because they weren't a priority when you were budgeting groceries for the week, so you knew exactly what that look meant. She wanted you to accept the offer of cookies. But that also meant another inevitable interaction with your neighbor and this one was already one too many for your liking.
But it was Evie and you’d do just about anything to make her happy.
With a sigh, you nodded at her before focusing back on Matthew. “If it's not too much trouble, I think Evie would like that,” you told him. “Thank you.”
“No trouble at all Ms….?”
Your lips pressed together for a moment, your initial instincts fighting you to give away your name and briefly causing you to hold your tongue. Though you had just given him Evie’s name and he already knew where you lived. What more harm was there if he knew your name, too?
Quietly you gave it to him, your stomach twisting into nervous knots. He repeated it softly, somehow the sound further calming you as he did.
“It was nice meeting you,” he said, already taking a step backwards towards his door. “And I meant what I said. If you ever need anything, I'm just across the hall.”
A tight smile settled onto your lips even though you knew he couldn't see it as you nodded. “Thank you,” you replied, full well planning not to ask him for anything more. “I'll keep that in mind.”
You watched as he finally turned before you shut the door one-handed, the dish of lasagna still cradled against your chest. As weird as that whole interaction had been, at least you didn't have to worry about dinner for the next few nights.
“I guess we're having lasagna tonight, cricket,” you said, carrying the dish over to your kitchen counter. “Sound good?”
Glancing over your shoulder at Evie, you saw the expression brighten her face. She nodded enthusiastically in response and the sight managed to put a smile on your own face.
Whoever that Mr. Murdock was, he'd at least put a smile on your daughter’s face tonight with his kindness.
“Mama!!”
Eyes flying wide open at the unexpected scream that ripped you from a dead sleep, you felt your heart nearly jolt out of your chest. By the time you heard your daughter shout for you a second time, you were already scrambling out of your blanket and rising to your feet.
“I'm coming, Evie!” you yelled back.
This was why you slept in front of your daughter’s door. Because it took you a matter of seconds to throw it wide open.
Rushing inside her bedroom, you found Evie out of her sleeping bag and standing by the window across the room. You dropped down to your knees once you reached her, immediately beginning to inspect her with your hands for any sign of injury.
“What is it?” you asked her in a panic. “What's wrong? Are you okay?”
She nodded her head, your eyes drawn back up to her face. Despite her having shouted for you, she didn't look terrified. She appeared startled and a little surprised, but not scared.
“I saw him,” she told you.
Hands making their way back up to her shoulders, your brows furrowed at her words. “Who?” you asked her slowly. “You saw who?”
“The man,” she answered, turning at the waist and pointing to her window. “Outside.”
Your eyes flew to the window, scanning the rooftops beyond the fire escape outside of her room. There was nothing to see though. And with how bright the billboard across the street was, you would have been able to see if someone was there.
This wasn't the first time this week Evie had told you she'd been seeing a masked man outside her window out on the rooftops. At first when she had told you about seeing someone, you'd let your fear take hold of you, worried it was somehow Daniel out there trying to torment you. But then when she hadn't been afraid of the man, you'd begun to worry that her fear of her father had led her to conjure up some masked imaginary figure that she kept seeing at nighttime when she was supposed to be asleep.
“Cricket,” you said softly, your attention returning to her, “I've told you already. There's no masked man on the roof.” You reached a hand up, gently cupping her cheek. “Sweetheart, you're just dreaming. Okay? No one is out there. We're safe here, remember?”
“ He keeps us safe.”
Her strange comment gave you pause, your lips parting as you wondered what that even meant. Shaking your head a second later, you rose back up to your feet. At least this masked man wasn't giving her nightmares.
“Let's get you back to bed, alright?” you suggested.
With a hand on her shoulder, you guided her across the room and back over to her sleeping bag. Despite being grateful that everything was alright after how terrified her screaming had made you, you really weren't a fan of her constantly waking at night because of this imaginary man.
“He is real,” she whispered.
Expelling a soft sigh, you helped your daughter get back into her sleeping bag, tucking her in as you smiled down at her. If she wanted to believe some man on the roof was keeping you safe, you weren’t about to tell her that she was wrong.
“Alright, Evie,” you replied. “But it's late. You should get back to sleep. You can tell me all about it in the morning. Okay?”
You leaned in and gave her a peck on the cheek before gently smoothing her hair. Telling her goodnight one more time, you got up and made your way back out of the room. But before you shut the door after yourself, you caught her quiet voice once more behind you.
“He is real.”

Summary: Your gaming buddy asks to meet up but it doesn’t go exactly as planned.
Characters: Andy Barber
Note: I'm a sleepy babay.
As per usual, I humbly request your thoughts! Reblogs are always appreciated and welcomed, not only do I see them easier but it lets other people see my work. I will do my best to answer all I can. I’m trying to get better at keeping up so thanks everyone for staying with me.
Your feedback will help in this and future works (and WiPs, I haven’t forgotten those!) Please do not just put ‘more’. I will block you.
I love you all immensely. Take care. 💖
There’s a finality to the tap of your thumb. You hold the block button for a moment before you let it go. The window pops up asking if you’re sure. Yes. Certain. This is just a mistake and when you’re older and wiser, you’ll be thankful you made it. If you even remember it.
You lay back and put your phone down. Done. Over. No more Jacob. No Andy.
Maybe you’ll go back and see Kara again, or she can come here, even if she hates this town. You can at least be thankful that it reconnected you two, and you have to be grateful to learn a hard lesson. Don’t mess with strangers online. You’re better off alone.
You close your eyes. You’re exhausted. Mentally, emotionally, and yes, physically. Who knew scooping ice cream could be so much work?
When you wake up, you’re sore and still groggy. The sun peers in at you brightly in the slat between the curtains. You groan and hide under the pillow. Your shift starts at noon. You can’t spend all morning doing nothing or the whole day is wasted.
You drag yourself out of bed. Your grandma is still asleep. You’re sure she was up until dawn with her latest haul from the used book store. You clean up the cluster of wrappers around her chair and tidy up the kitchen, dumping the old coffee and brewing a new pot.
You go to grab your phone and pause as you see an unusual notification. Your email? Huh. You don’t really use that besides for school. You open it up, thinking it might be about enrolment. No. It’s him. Andy. Holy moly.
You scroll up and down, skimming the blocks of text. Oh god. You hit delete. You’re not reading all that. You said what needed to be said.
You have your coffee and load the machine for whenever your mother gets out of bed. You eat and wash up, catching up on some Youtube before you make yourself get your uniform on. You head out, walking to work to enjoy the sunshine, and key in between tying on your apron and chatting with Gavin, the high schooler who does half-shifts every now and then.
He leaves at four and you have your complimentary cone just after five. Peanut butter chocolate; classic. You eat at the window as you watch the mostly empty street. Your phone vibrates and you slide it out, hoping to take advantage of the lull.
WhatsApp request? No way. The shammy recruiters always want a piece of you. At least you never fell for that.
You bite into the cone and your phone suddenly blows up with Insta notifications. Bots! Ugh. So annoying. Every new follower is faceless with some generated name. You mute the notifications and put your cell away. You really are a boring person.
As you look up, tires crush over a patch of gravel and your barely catch a glimpse of the car as it rolls just around the corner. You feel like you’ve missed something. Maybe your grandma is right about you always having your nose buried in a screen. Who is she to talk? She lives in her novels.
Your shift ends at eight. You lock up and stop by the convenience store down the block. Nothing special, just a tray of carbonara you can shove in the nuke. As you pay at the counter, the door chimes to signal another customer. You accept your meagre meal as the other patron strides into the aisle. You don’t look over as you go directly for the door. You’re starving for more than a scoop.
Your footsteps seem to echo through the dull streets. The frozen meal makes your hand hurt as your other holds your cell phone close. You text Kara as you finally get through the essay she wrote about Calvin’s latest antics. You wish you could convince her to play something. You feel aimless without an analog stick under your thumb.
There’s a scuff, close behind you, loud enough to make you jump. You fumble with your phone and glance over your shoulder. You don’t see anything but the thick oak outside Luella’s. Ugh. Alright, you need to eat and lay down. It hasn’t been a busy day but still a long one.
You pass through your grandma’s front door. She’s where she always is, in her chair, but something’s off. Something’s different. The smell of pollen hangs in the air and a pot stands on the coffee table with several white orchids tall in the soil. You frown. The last time you got her flowers, she didn’t even put them in a vase.
“Oh, those are pretty,” you say.
“Mph, not mine,” she grumbles, not looking up.
“Not... who’s...”
“Delivery man said your name. I didn’t read the card. I’m not a snoop.”
You nod, thankful at least that she isn’t nosy. You go to the table and examine the pot. Who would send you flowers?
You take the card off the tall pronged stick and open the envelope. You slide out the paper and unfold it.
‘I know I’ve told you a million times, so I’ll show you how sorry I am instead. Yours always, Andy.’
You nearly drop your handful. Your eyes flick up to the pot and you have to stop yourself from pushing it off the table. What the hell? How... how does he know where you live? You never even mentioned what town you’re from. He only knows your college and it’s so small, he wouldn’t have heard of it.
It’s enough to unsettle you. That he knows where you live is bad enough but the flowers themselves make a point. It’s not over. He’s not walking away but what else can you say to make him? Didn’t he get it? You think were pretty nice considering.
“You got some boy?” Your grandma raises her eyes from the page. You can’t remember the last time she even bothered looking at you.
“Not exactly,” you tuck the card away and put it in your pocket. “I’m going to make my dinner.”
“Eh,” she grumbles, “fine. Get them flowers somewhere else. They stink.”
You lift the vase, hugging it around the pot, and carry it from the room. You balance it against your hip and go into the kitchen. You use your free hand to pull open the freezer and put the pasta inside. You’re not so hungry anymore.
🎮
The irises are pretty. The pot they came in is fancy, probably expensive. It underlines once more the gap between you and the real Jacob. Between you and Andy.
It only reminds you of how ridiculous you must have sounded. So, you just can’t understand why he’s doing this? Why is he still trying? For you? A girl with dwindling hopes of even finishing her low-tier college degree.
You try to forget. You don’t have a shift that day but you can’t just sit around. Usually, you would. You’d hole up in your bedroom and play video games. Not anymore. He ruined that. You’re disappointed you’re letting him.
You got down to the library for a while and wander around. There’s nothing there you’re very interested in. They still haven’t got the latest release in the series you’d read in high school. Oh well, you’ll wait around until one day you learn the fate of those revolutionary spies.
You walk the main strip of the town. It isn’t very extensive. There’s a coffee shop and the used bookstore which also carries hobby supplies. There’s the same diner that’s been there since you were a kid and the interchangeable business that open and close year after year.
There’s a vibe in your pocket. It’s not Kara. Another WhatsApp request, more Insta bots, and Discord. You haven’t been on the server in ages. You couldn’t keep up with all the channels and most of it was arguing about mining strategies.
It’s Andy. Frig. You should’ve blocked him there too. You just hadn’t thought of it.
‘Did you like the flowers?’
You don’t answer but he’ll see that you read it. It isn’t long before he’s typing.
‘I am still very sorry. I wish you’d talk to me. Hear me out.’
Hear him out? He said everything. His son is dead and he lied to you. That’s not anything you can hash out.
‘I know you’re not working today. I’ll make a new world and we can chat there.’
No. That’s not going to happen. Over. O-V-E-R. It’s done. You’re not going to be like Kara. When you cut the cord, it’s snipped.
You won’t answer. That’s just bait. He’ll keep nibbling if you do that. You press the chat settings and block. That’s better, you can’t breathe.
You put your phone on silent and back in your pocket. You wish you had the money to try the sushi place. It won’t last long in the bodunk town so you probably won’t ever get to. Oh well. Back on campus, they sell decent California rolls at the cafeteria. Decent, not necessarily good.
You go home. To your grandma’s house. It doesn’t always feel like home. You know she’s counting the days until you leave. You are too.
You wish you were brave enough to apologise. To say sorry your mom and dad didn’t want you. That she got stuck with you. It feels like saying it out loud would be worse. Just wallow in the unspoken resent, one day you won’t ever come back and maybe then you can both be happy.
In your room, you don’t know what to do with yourself. Your Switch taunts you from across the room. You want to mine or race or even scare yourself with some Hellblade. You can’t. More Youtube. More wasted time. That’s what people like you do; people from small towns with no one who loves them and no money; waste time.
The mindless videos help you relax but not forget. You just can’t get rid of the little tickle at the back of your head. There’s a tinge of shame that remains and a sliver of guilt. It will go. It has to, one day.
You catch yourself staring at the orchid. You can smell it. You want to throw it away but that feels rude. Even if Andy would never know, even if you shouldn’t care. He hurt you, didn’t he? He lied. Well, you could give it to Mahalia next door, she loves flowers.
You lay in indecision. You don’t want to do anything but lay there. Now that you’re still, you have no strength. Your day off is chipped away in your laziness.
The next day awaits you with another shift at the booth. And the day after and the day after.
Your fourth day in a row and you get a new Discord message. You know even before you open it, even by the blank avatar and nondescript username. It’s him. Just leave me alone. Let it go. Let me forget.
‘I know you don’t want to hear from me but I need you to hear me. I can’t stop thinking of you and what happened. I can do better. Please, let me apologise.’
Blocked. Again.
Work. Again.
You’re half asleep as you fill cones with soft serve. You smile and swallow yawns, faking it for the hyper children and cheerful couples.
When it slows, you work on cleaning the freezer, switching out empty containers with ones from the deep freeze. As you check the soft serve, there’s a tap on the open walk-up window. Oh shoot. You should’ve been paying better attention.
You turn back to greet the next customer but as you approach the window, your chest deflates. Frozen, like the tubs around you. You stare at Andy as he smiles at you. He wears a short-sleeve button up with blue, grey, and white stripes. His hair blows in the soft breeze.
“Do you have butterscotch ripple?” He asks brightly.
You blink and hesitate. You don’t know what to do. How did he get here? How did he find you? Why is he here?
You reach for the window and before he can stop you, you shut it. You lock it from the inside and step back. His face falls and his brow arches as he stands straight. He says your name, his voice muffled by the glass, and puts his palm to the barrier.
“Please,” he begs.
You shake your head and turn your back to him. If your manager was here, you’d be in shit. That’s a no-no. Never turn away a customer, only shut the window when you lock up.
You ignore him and go back to tidying. There could be a line up out there but you don’t care. Your hands are shaking and it’s not just the temperature.
You just can’t believe he’s there. You can’t believe he won’t just give up. You don’t want to believe it because you’re afraid. You’re terrified and he seems entirely clueless about how scary he’s being.
Flowers are one thing but showing up at your job? That’s a flaming red flag that even you can see. Not only because you told him plainly that you don’t want to talk to him again, but because he’s a grown man. Fortysomething and he can’t take a hint. Why would a man his age want to talk to someone as young as you? That’s another red flag on its own. As if catfishing you wasn’t enough.

Could I request number 23 and 24 with Grimmjow x reader? 💙✨
hey! here you go 🩷
check out my prompt list, and send in your own requests.
prompts #23 and #24:
"quit looking at me, you’re making me nervous."
"do you know how to knock?"
you stepped into the bath, the warm water melting away all of your troubles. you let yourself relax under the steady stream of the shower, feeling the tension leave your muscles.
after a while, you dried yourself up and stepped into your cozy hotel room. you and grimmjow had just finished a job, opting to stay at a nearby hotel for the night. you both had separate rooms, unfortunately.
exhausted from the day's exertion, you flopped onto the bed. you looked around for your phone, but you couldn't find it anywhere. you decided to go check grimmjow's room - maybe he knew where it was.
you just hoped he wouldn't get annoyed and do something stupid like break your phone. since his room was right next to yours, it wasn't much of a walk. you twisted the knob and opened-
wow.
and right in front of you was grimmjow. in nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. damp, ocean blue hair sticking to his forehead, water droplets falling from his face, trailing down his neck and down to his glistening, sculpted abs.
you've never been jealous of water before.
"do you know how to knock, brat?" he huffed, face now slightly pink from you seeing him a state like this. his eyes bored straight into yours, the sheer intensity of his piercing blue eyes had you buckling at the knees.
"o-oh! right, i was going to, but i thought i'd be disturbing you- and i'm looking for my phone- and you'd be tired and - sorry!" you rambled, your voice an octave higher than normal, face heating up at the way you could see every muscle moving. you couldn't look away, god, he looked gorgeous.
"quit looking at me, you're making me nervous" he muttered, turning away from you.
you froze. he wasn't angry? you made him nervous?
you don't know if it was the deliriousness you felt after seeing his shirtless body, or the exhaustion from the day's work, but you felt a sudden surge of confidence.
you make him nervous.
"i can't" you admitted, hesitantly. you were testing the waters, it was his move now. the air crackled with unvocalized tension. his eyes met yours again, an unrecognizable emotion in the pools of his irises.
"because?" he questioned, voice deep and soft, sending goosebumps across your arms. taking a shaky breath, you inched closer, the butterflies in your stomach amplifying by the second.
"'cause you look really, really good" you managed, voice just above a whisper.
"you're playin' a dangerous game, brat. jus' look for your damn phone and go to sleep" he said, eyes avoiding yours once again, chest rising and falling along with his breaths.
now you were only a foot apart from each other.
"admit it, grimm, we work well together, as much as you'd hate to acknowledge it," you stated. that damn nickname again, why did he even let you call him that? why did he let you work with him all the time?
"'s that what you're gonna call it, brat?" he scoffed. he moved one step closer, placing a calloused hand on the side of your jaw. his touch sent shivers down your spine, he was even more ethereal up close.
"always pushin' your luck" he said softly. a challenge.
"mm, but you like it that way" you teased, sending a playful smile his way while batting your eyelashes up at him. he felt his resolve crumble - why the fuck were you so pretty?
he didn't respond, eyes intently locked onto yours, you could just drown in his. being so close to him was intoxicating, the feel of his palm on the side of your face felt so warm.
"and what if i do?" he whispered, finally accepting the truth.
he loved the pretty smile on your face when you two would bicker, sweet giggles escaping your mouth at his half-assed insults. you made his heart flutter.
you made him nervous.
fuck.
could you hear his heart beat? you were so close that he could hear you breathing. he was sweating even more now, the water dripping down his collarbones.
he looked so handsome like this, face slightly pink, nervousness in his demeanour, water still dripping off his god-like body, hair wet and clinging to his forehead.
you couldn't help it, you wrapped your arms around his neck as he shifted his down to your waist. he leaned in, his grip on you so gentle, before finally kissing you.
his lips were warm and demanding, yet surprisingly so tender. you melted into him, hands running down his shoulders, across the broad expanse of his back, feeling every muscle relax under your touch.
you tangled a hand into his soft blue hair, tugging at it, breathless gasps escaping both of your mouths. when you finally broke away, it was solely due to the lack of oxygen.
he pulled away reluctantly, his forehead resting against yours. his chest heaved with exertion, eyes searching your face, his full attention only on you.
the next morning, you woke up next to him. tangled in the sheets, his toned arms wrapped around you, you realized you forgot to find your phone. after a while of searching, you found it in his jacket pocket. right as you were about to accuse him-
"it fell on the way here, so i picked it up is all. don't think too much of it" you smiled anyways.
"you want me so bad"
i hope you liked itt <3

The Tell
Based off of this scene (SPOILERS FOR XMEN '97) I am back on my nightcrawler bs!!!!
Have some angst and hurt/comfort to bide yall. I'M WORKING ON PART 3- MIDTERMS HAVE ME BY THE SOUL!! Yall know the drill: 2nd person bc idgaf GN pronouns for yall (I think?) No beta we die like (spoilers)
He was gone. You were across the world and you knew he was gone. In a step, in a breath, in a waining thought- all silenced by the wind in your hair whispering "Gambit's Dead"
You rushed home as soon as possible, making it just a day before the funeral. Everyone was barely holding it together but seeing you after all these years, a ghost, sent waves. Logan, Rouge, and Hank were all indifferent to your presence, understanding but also contempt of the fact that now- now you show up, after years away. This is what got you back.
Scott was worse- not even bothering to speak to you, just walking away altogether. Jubilee didn't know you that well, but from what she knew and how she is, she took you in with a grain of salt. Smart girl- that one.
Kurt, now that was a reaction. Moments after you were let in, Kurt was getting tea for everyone and as soon as he saw you- everything fell apart. Not many people have had the displeasure of seeing the Nightcrawler angry. After all, the few who do, don't live to tell the tale. But now you've seen it thrice. But unlike the times before- you stayed and took it all.
All the vile curses, both English and German, all the arm motions and tears, all the looks of emotions so mixed it could count as a cocktail. When he was done, and stark silence filled the over-occupied room, he muttered. "Welcome home Windwalker." Before dacking your shoulder on his way out.
You knew you should have left at that moment but you stay ed for the funeral. As soon as it was over and Kurtis touched your heart once again, you started to walk away again.
You made it ten minutes before he came racing after you. "Wait." He called from behind you.
A sigh and half of a turn was the most you got before the brunt of a sword collided with your eye- sending you stumbling into a nearby tree. "You are not leaving until I'm through with you, Zepher." You wince. Not at the pain. You didn't bother to stand as Kurt readied his blades. You just closed your eyes and waited. A moment passes before Kurt shouts "Steh auf, verdammt! Get up and fight me!" The rage eminent in his voice. You open your eyes to see him looming from listed over a yard away. His stark eyes contrast the gloom of the landscape. Where this moment was pure mourning, he was nothing but firey disgust. Contemplation washed over you, but you got up. You didn't bother to ready yourself as if you could- Kurt was already on you, his swords slashing into you. Kicks sent you here and there while the memories of late-night training sessions made your tears mix with the downpour. Blood followed soon after.
Whether it be minutes or hours later, he was finished with you. On the brink of passing out either out of blood loss or exhaustion. He stepped back to look at you. "Warum liegt mir so viel an Ihnen?" He mumbles. You only swallow back the copper taste in your mouth. His eyes narrow, finally seeing you as the human trash you are. You close your eyes and hope that the devil is kinder than this fallen angel.
You wake to smoke. immediately sitting up and coughing out the vile intruder. You use your mutation of wind manipulation to give yourself a radius to breathe. Kurt appears next to you before grabbing your chest and suddenly teleporting you outside. He doesn't linger to explain whats going on- just leaving you to watch as these human-robot things destroy the manor. You take out a few that try to break in and even save Logan from one too. When the chaos is settled, everyone makes a gameplan- something something Rouge, something something Magneto- you were out for most of it. It wasn't until Kurt gripped your shoulder that you found yourself back in reality. Kurt stares at you for a moment before grabbing your waist and teleporting to the outside of the manor's green.
"I-If you want a round two... go ahead." You offer even though the bandages wrapped around your torso and arms are turning pink. "I know you wanted to for harder." You close your eyes. "Can I say something though?"A beat passes. you feel his tail swing against your ankle. "Make it quick." You nod. "I'm going to say I've changed, or that I feel sorry, or that I've repented- because... I don't think you care about that." You let out a breath. Your heartbeat is still racing. "But what I am going to say is, that when I left- I didn't do it to hurt you." Something builds in the back of your closing throat. "I- I had to leave to protect you. And I know it was stupid to not say anything- especially given our last conversation. But I had to go. Y-you mother-"
"Mystique."
You nod, and you feel your cheeks get wet. "She found my family. My blood one. And you know that I've been keeping tabs on them since I left- she said that she'd kill them and then go after you guys-" She tries to suppress the frown that was deepening. "I know that I should have told you but I was scared. You told me what your mother is capable of. And I couldn't just stand there so-" A weight envelopes you. A warm, protective, weight, that grounds you to the moment. You open your eyes to see the thing you've been dreaming of for the past decade finally become reality. Kurt's buried his head into your shoulder and holding onto you for dear life. For a moment you can only watch. But as reality slowly but surely seeped in, the cracks in the years-old walls finally led to you crumbling in the arms of your oldest friend. You return his hug, clutching him to make sure that this wasn't one of the most twisted dreams you've ever had.
His tail wraps around your calve. "I missed the west wind," He mumbled into your embrace. You hold him tighter. "And I yearned for the fallen angel."

Let me take care of you
Request: I don't know if you know, but Noah kind of lost his voice during a concert(?) when you can, can you write that the reader flew out to take care of him or just to be there with him? :c ♥️ You choose whether they're friends or in a relationship, whatever you feel. Don't overwhelm yourself, precious; we love you more♥️♥️
No warnings
An: sorry I put a friends to lovers trope. 😅 thank you for this request. I loved it.
Words 2800ish
Noah Sebastian x reader
Noah Master list
You had always been terrified of heights. The mere thought of being high up in the air made your palms sweat and your stomach churn.
So, how you boarded a plane and flew for more than half a minute was a mystery to you. But you did it for Noah, your best friend, who was going through a rough patch. Your sneaky self conspired with the other three men to visit without Noah knowing.
He'd lost his voice and had to cancel several shows, which made him feel guilty and depressed.
He kept blaming himself for not taking better care of his health even though the others assured him that it was not his fault and that he would recover soon.
You had booked a car online, but when you got to the rental center, you faced an unexpected problem. The vehicle you had reserved was unavailable, and the counter clerk seemed clueless about what to do. He asked you to wait in the lobby while he talked to his manager, promising to sort things out as soon as possible. You felt your blood boil with frustration. You hated waiting - especially when you had paid for something in advance. You glared at the clerk as he walked away, wishing you could zap him with your eyes. You grabbed your phone and dialed Noah's number, hoping to check on him. You waited for him to pick up but heard a different voice on the other end instead.
"Hello, this is Noah's assistant. How can I direct your call?" It was Jolly; his thick accent and cheerful tone always made you smile.
"Hey, Jolly. It's me." You chuckled. "Is Noah paying you well? You seem to be working very hard lately."
He laughs back, "He doesn't pay me shit! I'm just that good of a friend."
"Well, speaking of the devil, where is he?" You ask.
"Sleeping... I saw it was you so I answered for him. Are you here yet?" He whispers, and you hear the sound of a door closing. "Sorry, that was loud. I don't want to blow it. Must escape into the other room." He says, giggling like a child.
"I'm in the same state…city even, but there seems to be some fucking confusion with the car I rented, and it's taking everything in me not to lose my shit right now," you say with a sigh. "Why is this happening?"
You run your hand down your face, feeling lost and not knowing what to do. "Ah, the classic 'I rented a car, and now I'm stuck' situation. You know what they say: 'Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.'" He quips, "Do you need someone to come get you, or are you going to wait it out?"
"OK, well, nobody says that except you. I'm gonna wait. I hate not having my own way around." You pause when you hear your name called at the front desk.
He laughs, "No, I'm pretty sure that's how it's said, y/n. My English is good."
You roll your eyes, letting out a small giggle. "I gotta go. I'll call you when I get to the hotel. Like, I'll actually call your phone."
"See you soon. OK, this is the part where I say goodbye, right?" He laughs.
"Yes, goodbye!" You click end and start toward the desk, wondering how you ended up with the strangest people being some of your closest friends.
After a long, exhausting drive, you finally arrived at the hotel's parking lot. You took out your cell phone and called Jolly, hoping he would come down and help you with your luggage.
You waited and waited and waited…
"I'm coming." He said abruptly and hung up.
You stared at your phone in disbelief. What was that? Did he just cut you off without even saying goodbye? What if you had something important to tell him?
You got out of the car, putting on your sunglasses. You grabbed your backpack from the back seat and closed the car door, leaning against it as you waited for Jolly to show up.
You started to doubt your decision to come here; if Noah was sick, would he appreciate your surprise visit? You shook your head; of course, he would.
You feel excited when you see the tall Swede walking towards you with a goofy smile; he opens his arms wide, and you run to him, hugging him tightly.
"You made it!" He exclaimed.
You pulled away, grinning, "Barely. I think I only cried once on the plane, so that's an improvement, " you joke while adjusting your bag. "Lead the way," you say, gesturing to the door.
"Someone's eager," he teased, opening the door. "I'm excited to see everyone. I miss you guys so much," you said with exaggerated emotion.
He followed behind you as you sprinted up the stairs. "Oh, come on. Don't lie to me. You're dying to see Noah... Just admit it," he said, poking fun at you.
You stopped in the hallway, making him bump into you. You turned to face him, poking his chest and giving him a fierce glare, "Shut your mouth!"
He laughs, gently grabbing your shoulders, keeping you at bay. "Alright, pitbull, calm down!"
You shake your head and continue to walk, "Sorry." You mumble. "It's just, nobody needs to know that. I honestly didn't even want to tell you." You take a deep breath when you feel his arm lazily drape over your shoulder.
"Maybe it's time to tell him instead of telling me." He looks down at you, waiting for a response.
"Hear me out... I can just not say anything and keep my friendship intact," you say.
Jolly's arm drops from your shoulders as he points to the door. He grabs his key and unlocks the door, pushing you in first.
"This place is huge," you say as you peek around. You'd barely entered the kitchen and already felt lost.
"Down the hall doors on the left. Beware, the other two are lurking and waiting for your arrival," he warns.
As he's warning you, you hear a sudden commotion from around the corner. Two figures emerge, dart guns in their hands, and they laugh maniacally as they start shooting at you. You barely have time to react before the first dart hits you in the face. You instinctively raise your arms to shield yourself from the barrage of incoming darts.
"Fucking assholes!" You yell out in frustration, trying to catch your breath as you choke on your laughter. You quickly scan your surroundings for cover and spot Jolly nearby. You run towards him and hide behind him, hoping that he'll provide some protection from the incoming fire.
Jolly groans as he gets pelted with the soft bullets but doesn't move. You peek from behind him and see that the men are still laughing and shooting at you.
From behind them, you hear a door creak open and feet scruffing against the floor.
"What the fuck is going on?" you hear Noah's hoarse voice ask.
You poke your head around Jolly's torso, and your eyes land on Noah. You smile with excitement, feeling your stomach flip.
You run past Nicholas and Folio, flipping them off in the process and laughing hysterically as you jump into Noah's arms. As you cling to him, you can feel his body tense up in surprise. He looks down at you with wide eyes, his mouth slightly agape, as if he can't believe what happened. You can tell he hasn't processed that you're there yet.
"What thewhere did you? You're here," he manages to stutter out. His body relaxes, and he squeezes you gently, engulfing you in his tattooed arms. "What are you doing here?"
You pull back, still latched in his arms, as you look up at him. "Surprising you, dummy. Did it work?"
"What do you think?" His brown irises glow while he gazes down on you. "I'm surprised, but why? You had the whole tour, and you chose now? We're almost done." He says, chuckling. "Wait, did you get on a plane?"
You push out of his grasp, brushing your shirt down. "I heard you weren't feeling well…and yes, I did get on a plane."
"She only cried once," Jolly pipes in. "She's growing up so fast."
You shake your head, "...and then these two assholes tried to kill me." You glare at them. "You didn't even say hi! You just started blasting, and I find that rude. Could at least greet a girl." You turn your back to them, swinging around to face Noah. "Anyway, I'm here."
He looks back at you with tired eyes, "Well, as much as I love seeing you. I'm supposed to be on vocal rest. I'm going back to my room."
You stand there confused as he starts to walk away from you.
"Are you coming?" He asks, stopping before his door.
"Wait, you were inviting me?" You chuckle, "I'm comin'." You dash down the corridor and join Noah in his room. The room is plunged into darkness by the black-out blinds. You grin as he snuggles up on the bed, pulls the covers over him, and switches on the tiny TV on the desk at the foot of the bed.
"I had to make it dark." He explains, noticing your curious gaze, "I'm fooling myself into thinking nothing exciting is happening."
You roll your eyes playfully, "Nothing exciting is happening. This is a hotel." You tease, sliding under the covers next to him.
Noah gives you a sly smirk as he slides closer to you, resting his head on your chest. You wrap your arm around his shoulder, gently moving it up his neck and into his hair, where your fingers weave through, making him melt under your touch.
"I know you're not supposed to be talking, but I was curious how you feel about this. How are you coping?"
He lets out a sigh, showing his frustration. "I hate having to cancel shows, you know? It sucks knowing people were looking forward to seeing us maybe for months, and then we can't even show up." He buries his face in your neck, groaning, "I can talk, by the way, just not loudly."
You feel his hot breath against your skin, causing goose bumps down your arms. You wonder if this was the right time to tell him the truth.
You mentally shake the thoughts from your mind; now was probably not the right time. You didn't know if there ever would be a time when you'd feel brave enough. "I get that. As much as you hate hearing it, you're only human, Noah. Shit happens, and I'm sure they'll understand. They would want you to get better instead of ruining your voice," you remind him.
You feel his arm drape around your waist as he says, "I'm happy you're here. It makes things a little more manageable."
You hear his breathing slow down, and his soft snore comes from him. You let him rest and grab your phone, careful not to wake him up. You take a quick picture of your situation and send it to Jolly.
Help
Did you tell him?
NO.
Wake him up?
I can't. It's a rule. It's rude to move if someone is sleeping on you.
That only applies to cats, and Noah's not a cat.
You laugh and text back: Are we sure?
You put your phone down beside you and close your eyes, feeling the need for a nap after your long trip, and then you'd talk to Noah, maybe.
You stir in your sleep, feeling soft touches through your hair; you cuddle closer to the person's chest, feeling arms around you keep you safe and warm. Your eyes flutter open softly, and you are greeted with Noah's neck tattoo. You lean your head back, your nose grazing Noah's chin. "Hi," you groggily say.
"Hi, sleepy head." You snuggle your face back into his chest, not wanting to end the moment. You felt secure and calm, like you could stay this way forever. Until you hear the door fling open, you don't raise your head to look afraid you might get pelted in the face with another dart.
"You did it!" Jolly squeals when he sees you wrapped up in Noah's body. "I'm claiming best man at the wedding!"
Noah's eyes widen in confusion, and he looks at Jolly with a puzzled expression. "What wedding?" He asks nervously.
Jolly stares at you wide-eyed and yells, "Ah Fuck!" before leaving the room and shutting the door quickly.
You smack your hand over your eyes, wishing you could just disappear. Your cheeks burn with embarrassment, and you contemplate getting up, walking to the front, getting on a plane, and never showing your face again.
Suddenly, Noah lightly pushes your shoulder and playfully smiles at you. "That was weird," he says. "Are you OK?" His eyes grow with concern as he realizes the color hasn't returned to your face.
You take in a deep breath and close your eyes. Your heart races with anticipation, and you feel sick to your stomach. But you quickly regain focus and open your eyes. "Is it THAT weird?" Noah's head tilts, eyebrows furrow together, and his voice laced with curiosity, "What do you mean?"
"The voice in my head is screaming not to tell you because I'm so fucking afraid of losing you, but I know…" you pause, trying to catch your breath. "I love you, Noah, but not just in a hey, I want to be your friend kind of way. It's been eating at me for a while now. I made the mistake of telling Jolly; that's why he said what he did."
Noah's mouth drops with surprise, and slowly, a smile tugs at the corners of his mouth. "I know," he says softly. He presses his lips together, not sure what else to say. He wasn't completely oblivious. "That's it?" You nervously bite the inside of your cheek.
"Y/n, why do you think I treat you like I do? I knew there was something more, but I didn't want to push this on you. I'm gone a lot, and I can't always give you what you want and what you need." He reaches out, holding both of your hands with his.
"If you want to give me a shot, I'm ready, but don't want to disappoint you." He flashes his infamous smile at you. "I want to try. At least then when people ask if you're my girlfriend, I won't have to correct them." He nervously laughs, "Are you ready?"
You smirk and sit up on your knees, bringing your hands to his face and pressing your lips against his. You lean back, gazing into his eyes, a permanent smile plastered on your face. "Yes, I'm fucking ready!"
You hear Jolly's voice yell from the hallway. "The wedding's back on!"
You chuckle, and Noah pulls you into his lap, kissing your temple. "He really wasn't the best one to tell."
You shrug your shoulders, "It wasn't that bad…he did kinda make this happen…"
Noah looks at the door hearing someone lean against it; chuckling while throwing his legs over the side of the bed and making his way to the door. He quickly opens the door to reveal Jolly practically falling on his face.
"Dude…" Noah laughs. "What the fuck."
Jolly apologizes, "Sorry, sorry. I'm nosy, you know plus had to make sure little miss wasn't getting her heartbroken." He pauses and smiles at you.
"Well," you say with a grin, "I guess we can't blame him for being curious about our love life. After all, it's not every day that he gets to witness such a steamy romance." You wink at Noah.
Noah rolls his eyes playfully and pulls you closer. "Yeah, Jolly," he says with a smirk, "you're just jealous that you're not getting any action."
Jolly laughs and shakes his head. "You two are something else."

Exhausted parents kiss, after the reader and character of your choosing are tired after a long day of Christmas with their hectic children lol
i'm gonna do this one with ron weasley because i can't get that boy out of my head
warnings: not proofread, pregnant!reader

"are you sure you want to have another?" ron asked after he walked into the bedroom, leaned against the shut door, and let out a tiresome sigh.
you, standing by the bed where you were pulling back the blankets to get in, looked down at the baby bump you were sporting before looking back up at ron. "i think it may be a tad bit too late for you to be asking me that," you tell him, earning a grin from the man you loved most. "and anyways, how else are we supposed to live up to the weasley name if not by having hundreds of kids?"
"we aren't even close to mum yet," ron spoke as he strode over to you slowly, his hands coming up to the swell of your stomach. "this one here is number three. we're on our percy. we still have four more to go if we even want to truly compete with the weasley name."
"oh, i don't know about that," you told him with a chuckle while sitting down on your side of the bed. "and it wasn't really our kids that made today so exhausting. it was your brother."
"which one?" ron questioned teasingly, rounding the bed to lie down beside you. you both knew very clearly which of his brothers wound your kids up which tired you two out. "yeah, freddie and george make quite the pair."
you rolled your eyes and reached over to turn out the lamp near you, casting darkness over the room. scooting closer to ron, you cuddled into his side where he had his arm stretched out for you. "i didn't realize when we named him after fred that he would turn out exactly like him. i sympathize with your mother more and more every day and we only have two kids, three in a few months. i have no idea how she did it."
ron chuckled, squeezing his arm tighter around you for a second. "and he's only three and a half years old. we aren't even in the thick of it yet. you remember how the twins were in school. wait until freddie's that age. then, you will really see how much he's like fred."
"no," you whined, burying your face in ron's shirt, "i don't want to think about my first baby going to school already."
his chest vibrated with light laughter before a yawn took him over. "come here," he spoke through the yawn, causing you to lift your head up. you knew exactly what he was seeking as you moved closer to him, more specifically to his lips. tiredly, you both leaned in and pressed your lips to one another's. after the kiss, only seconds passed before you both fell asleep, the effects of the long christmas day finally taking over you and ron.

Master List
Change is universal, inevitable. No matter how hard you try to push it away, to forget, change will always follow. Change can be slow, barely noticeable until you peer into hindsight. But it can also be fast, like a predator pouncing on its prey.
We all experience change. From the clothes we choose to wear, to a star blinking out of existence. Growing up, my life wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t perfect either. I’ve experienced relative poverty, but also having unwavering support from family. I’ve experienced my mom choosing to nurse bottles of beer night after night, but I also witnessed her becoming sober.
Change will happen. There is no stopping it, no matter how hard humans try. But it’s people's choices that decide what that change will become. Whether it’s a good or bad change, or possibly something that doesn’t fit in that binary. My mother has made many bad choices, but it was an opportunity to make me a better person. Showing me what not to do to better myself.
But change will rock your boat. Like how my mom died suddenly, and I was put under the care of my estranged uncle. I suppose estranged is the wrong word. My mom and him were close. Until Uncle Hank lost his son. We tried to help, offer him support, but he pushed us away and turned to the bottle like my mother once did. So being under his care was like reliving those painful memories once more.
This night seemed to be particularly bad. In my last year of college, I was exhausted half the time. Trying to find a job, an internship, something to help get me out of what’s become a hell hole to me. I didn’t blame Uncle Hank, I can’t imagine losing a child. Yes I lost my mom, but her death was more of just a bitter feeling. I stopped caring for her when I believed she chose her addictions over me, and when she died I was just learning to love her again.
I was just on my phone, scrolling through social media before I turned in for the night. I felt myself calm when Uncle Hanks drunken shouts died down. I tried to ignore the sudden thud that soon followed, he probably passed out somewhere. I felt bad that I would avoid him, sober or not. But I don’t think I can handle looking him in the face.
About twenty minutes later, the doorbell rang, making me jump out of my skin at the abrupt sound. My heartrate picked up, wondering who could be visiting us at night? I heard a muffled shout, barely making out what he was saying, I heard the work title of my uncle. I let out a sigh, getting slightly irritated as the person held the buzzer down for a ridiculously long time. I just turned back to my phone, maybe if no one answered he’d realize it was a lost cause? Was it someone from Uncle Hanks' work? Someone who was unhappy with his work? Rolling my eyes at the thought, I wondered who wouldn’t be unhappy with his work. Things seemed to be peaceful once more. Well until the sound of a window breaking made my heart leap to my throat. My heart hammered as I heard the same voice try to soothe Sumo. I stared at my phone. This is when I call emergency services right?
I felt frozen as I heard the intruder shuffle and try to wake your uncle. Taking a deep breath, I dialed 911 and pressed the green call button before I could back down. Who knows what crazy person is in my house right now.
“911 what’s your emergency?”
“There’s someone in my house,” I whispered, blood rushing past my ears. I slowly got off my bed, looking for a place to hide, but wasn’t overly cliche.
“Do you know who it is?”
“No,” I replied. “They seem to know my uncle, Hank Anderson.”
“Are you and your uncle in a safe place?”
“I’m in my room,” I muttered, heart dropping as footsteps got closer to where I was. My eyes landed on my doorknob and I felt sick when I realized I didn’t even lock the fucking thing. “They’re coming-”
“Police are on the way,” The dispatcher alerted. “Please stay on the line, where’s your uncle?”
I quickly scurried under the bed, my breathing becoming erratic both from the small space of the underside of my bed, to how the footsteps stopped in front of my door.
“Strange,” The voice muttered, muffled behind my door. “It says the call is coming from this room.”
“Where is your uncle?” The dispatcher kept repeating but I quickly hung up. He knew, he knew I was calling 911. He knew where I was. My eyes shut tight, small desperate tears falling down my face when the door opened slowly. The squeak of the door made my heart pump faster in anticipation.
“Hello?” The man called out. I bit my lip, trying to stay as quiet as possible. “My name is Connor. Android sent by Cyberlife to assist with Lieutenant Anderson’s latest case. I apologize for scaring you.”
Opening my eyes hesitantly, I couldn’t stop the scream that escaped me as our eyes met. Jump scare much? I scrambled out from under the bed, the claustrophobia finally getting the better of me. I leaned against the wall, taking deep breaths before finally getting a look at the intruder, only for my breath to be taken away once more due to the beauty of the man, or I suppose android, that stood in front of me.
It wasn’t the best meeting of my uncles companion. Quite embarrassing actually. Especially when the next morning, he was sitting in the living room. I couldn’t help the double take I did, wondering if I should go back to my room or not.
“Good morning,” Connor greeted before I could do anything.
“Uh, good morning,” I greeted back, not sure what to do. I was somewhat confused. My uncle hated androids, so knowing he was working with one, no less letting one stay in his house, made me very confused. But instead of commenting on anything, I went to the kitchen. I decided to get myself something to drink, an excuse for leaving my room. I was too tired for this and I had to get ready for class.
Begrudgingly, I sat down on the couch, hoping he wouldn’t start incessant small talk. I didn’t hate androids, quite the opposite actually. I found them very interesting. I wanted to know how they worked, what their programming looked like, how they managed to replicate the human body so well. Since I grew up somewhat poor, we never owned an android, not that I fully agreed with owning something that seemed so human anyways. So my interactions were limited. It never failed to amaze me how lifelike androids were, and Connor seemed to take the cake.
His fingers tapped against his thigh, his gaze elsewhere. He looked so human, acted so human, the only reminder of him being an android was the spinning blue led on his temple. I wonder what he was thinking about, what he saw.
“I apologize for scaring you,” Connor spoke up, brown eyes meeting mine. I looked away, the eye contact making me uncomfortable.
I couldn’t help the awkward smile that fell on my lips, “You’re still on that? Its okay, I probably should’ve answered the door anyways.”
“I should’ve done more research on Lieutenant Anderson,” Connor rebuttled. “I would’ve changed my approach if I knew he was housing another person.” I glanced at him and I couldn’t stop the genuine smile, his eyes held an innocence that made me completely forgive him for the absolute heart attack he put me through yesterday.
“It’s kinda funny now that I think about it,” I chuckled lightly.
Connor’s brows furrowed lightly, confusion splayed across his features, “How so?”
I opened my mouth to explain, but paused, not exactly sure how to explain it, “I guess cus the situation was so absurd? It’s not everyday you become an acquaintance of someone you called the cops on.”
His led spun blue again, clearly thinking over my words, “I’m not sure I fully understand.”
I took a sip of my drink, not sure how I could make him understand, “I’m sorry, I’m not the best at explaining things.”
“It’s okay,” He replied, “Perhaps I will understand in the future.”
Checking the time, my eyes widened, wondering where all the time went.
“Shoot,” I muttered, standing up quickly and rushing to my room. I got dressed as quick as I could before grabbing my bag. “Bye Connor,” I waved to him on my way out. His departing words faint as I was already trekking to my car.
Soon, Connor became a comforting presence in the mornings. Once, I used to like getting ready alone, no one to bother me or make me cranky. But now…it was nice with Connor being there. In fact, I kinda looked forward to it.
“Hm?” I hummed out confused as Connor placed toast in front of me on the coffee table. I looked up at him confused.
“It is recommended for humans to eat a balanced meal in the morning,” Connor explained. “Unfortunately, I was unable to make anything but toast.”
I blinked, and suddenly I felt myself melt at the action. I smiled sheepishly, taking a slice, “Thank you Connor. This was nice of you.”
Every day Connor seemed to do something that would make my heart beat a little bit faster. I knew it was stupid. He was an android, he couldn’t feel, he didn’t care, he was only there to hunt deviants.
So why did he slightly smile when I told the lamest joke in the world? Why did he scold me when I didn’t take care of myself? Why did I catch his stare lingering, or how he’d come to me with questions that others refused to answer?
“I still don’t think our meeting is funny,” Connor said randomly one morning. I was currently house hunting. Having a steady income was a nice change of pace and I was excited to finally get a place of my own.
I glanced up at him, “Oh?”
Its been a few years since I met Connor and so much has changed. For one, androids had their freedom. Two, Connor ended up being my best friend, as he’d confide in me and I him. I had found a well paying job and things were finally looking up.
“In fact, I feel guilty when I think about it,” Connor frowned. His gaze fell on me, his eyes soft and he reminded me of a kicked puppy. “I wish I made a better impression.”
I rolled my eyes, “Connor, if anything, you made quite the impression. And besides, if I was really bothered by it we wouldn’t be friends now would we?”
“But-”
“No buts,” I interrupted. “People make mistakes, it’s apart of life. You grow, learn, and change from them. Besides, why don’t you apologize to uncle Hank about it? He’s the one that was really bothered by it.”
“Th-that’s different,” Connor rebuttled, leaning closer to me.
“How?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“He’s not you,” Connor breathed out.
There it was again. The common occurrence of my heart skipping a beat. Of my heart melting. Of me falling deeper than I already was. So deep in fact, that I’m not sure if I could crawl out of it anymore. The occurrence of Connor saying something so sickingly sweet that I was surprised my teeth didn’t fall out. Something so hopelessly romantic that I wanted to just confess all these overwhelming feelings. No matter how common this would happen, it would always leave me breathless, and a memory for me to rewind like a broken record.
I wasn’t sure how to reply, wondering what he meant by that. Did he mean in the way I was currently hoping he did? Or was it just because we were close friends? Was I looking to much into things? Why did Connor seem so desperate in this moment?
Our eyes met intensely. His brown eyes searching deeply within my own. I felt a certain tension fall over the room, or was that just me?
“Your special to me,” Connor confessed, saying my name in the same breath. “Different than anyone else I’ve met. You’ve cared for me, guided me, make me feel alive.”
I stared at him with batted breath. I couldn’t believe my own ears. Was he…confessing? Do I…confess my own feelings? Did he understand the weight his words currently held? That he was currently cradling my heart in his hands, and could crush it without even realizing it? His sweet, brown eyes once again seemed to be searching for something.
“Your special to me too, Connor” I whispered. “I’ve never felt as close to someone as I do you. I love making you laugh, even if my jokes are dog shit, I love seeing you smile, and I’m glad you trust me enough to confide even the smallest things.”
I thought I’d be anxious to confess my feelings outloud, but I felt at peace as his gaze was soft, dare I say adoring.
“You got to be kidding me,” I heard uncle Hank grumble as he passed by the living room. “You got a room for a reason kid, take the cheesiness elsewhere.”
I flustered, breaking the intense staredown Connor and I had held.
Ever since that conversation, I noticed that Connor seemed to be more affectionate. His hand would brush mine more often when he’d hand me something. He’d hug me more often, arms lingering longer than normal.
“Holy shit,” I grinned, eyes wide in disbelief. I just found a place and managed to buy it. I just had to give the down payment and I could move in right away.
Energy buzzed through me and I left my room to find Connor. Uncle Hank sat on the couch, his drinking habits have improved significantly. Connor stood a little farther away, hunched over a stove. He’d taken up the hobby of cooking, in fact he would pout when he couldn’t cook me something or if I’d already eaten.
I beelined towards the handsome android and hugged him from behind, “Guess what?”
“What?” Connor asked, cranning his neck to try and look at me.
Letting go, I stepped beside him, “I got my own house!”
His smile fell, before retaining a clearly fake smile, “That’s amazing to hear. When do you move?”
“Probably in the next week or so,” I replied, for some reason feeling…guilty.
His stare didn’t shift from the pan that sat ontop of the stove, his shoulders tense. I fidgeted with my fingers, unsure how to make the situation better.
“I’m proud,” He muttered, the words sounding forced.
“It’s going to be hard to keep up with my payments,” I said without even thinking. My heart beat faster as I surmised that it was too late to back up now. “It’d be nice to have a roommate to help lighten the load.”
I stared at the brown haired beauty from the corner of my eye as he seemed to piece together what I was hinting at. His gaze swept over to me and I almost choked at how hopeful he looked.
“I-I could help,” Connor stuttered excitedly. “I make more than enough at the precinct now…a-and I don’t mind sharing a living space with you.”
He reminded me of a golden retriever with how he always seemed to try and please me. The thought made me swoon. And only made me double my efforts in showing him I cared as well.
“Okay than,” I nodded. “Hopefully uncle Hank won’t mind-”
“Please!” Hank exclaimed. “Get the hell out of my house so I can finally rest in peace.”
Connor and I looked at each other before falling into a fit of laughter.
“I suppose that answers that question,” I teased with a grin. “Better start packing mister, we’ve got a house to start decorating.”
The sound of sizzling grew louder and Connor tried to save the meal he was making. Apologizing when it was burnt.
I let out an exasperated sigh, trudging up to Connor who stared at me concerned from the couch. I laid down, resting my head on his lap, frowning in frustration. Today was just a bad day and I wanted to cling to the one comfort I found consistent.
Connor didn’t hesitate to run his hand through my hair, soothing my touch starved self. I didn’t even realize I let out a hum of content at the contact. It was nice to share a space with Connor, not having to worry about uncle Hank walking around and making teasing comments.
“I got you a surprise…” Connor trailed off, his nails scratching my scalp in a pleasing manner.
“Is it a bad surprise?” I asked, wondering if he was buttering me up right now.
“I think you’d enjoy it,” He hummed. I opened my eyes and met his loving gaze.
“Do we have to get up?” I grumbled.
His smile was so soft, I just wanted to lean up and kiss him.
“I assure you it will be worth it.”
I froze when I heard a bark. I stared up at Connor in shock and he just gave me a smug grin. I scrambled up, running towards his room where the bark came from. I opened the door without second thought and a puppy barelled towards me, jumping up to meet me. A kitten trailed not too far behind, exploring the world around it.
A giddy smile rested on my face as I sat on the ground and pet the puppy. Connor joined me, petting the kitten that sniffed at him curiously. When my gaze met Connor’s, my heart stuttered as he was already staring at me with that goofy grin of his. I lept at him, embracing him but also making us fall down, startling our pets. I squeezed him as tightly as I could, and he held me firmly as well.
“I love you so much,” I confessed without even thinking. I froze, turning ridged in his hold. I tried to pull away but Connor only held me tighter.
“I…love you too,” He breathed out, nuzzling his face into the side of my neck.
Change will always happen. Where androids were once seen as emotionless slaves, they turned out to be complex beings, seeming more human than actual humans. When you thought that you’d never be close to an android, you ended up loving one. Things won’t always be perfect, as mistakes are a step of change, but as long as the intentions behind your choices are good, good is likely to follow. And you couldn’t be happier with the choices you made that led to this moment.

So post Beyond the Spider-Verse. Miles and Gwen have things patched up, you know those two are EXHAUSTED and Peter B. is gonna turn around from whatever celebration they're having (they BETTER end this movie with a cookout if Miles' parents learn he's Spider-Man) and you've got Gwen curled into Miles passed out while Miles is snoring. Gwen's got her hood pulled up to keep the lights out of her eyes and Miles' jacket is spread across them.
I like this idea, mind if I write a bit about it with some variants?
Headcanon: Gwen when she is sleepy defaults to following people who she is close to; Miles may be closer to the top of the list that he may realize.

In a liminal space, we still find ourselves reaching for each other
As much as Miles wanted to kiss his parents goodnight and hit the bed, Peter's proposition to stop by his house to recharge seemed like the best idea.
He still needed to tell his parents that he was Spiderman, and maybe would be better to do it when he is less beaten down and with some sleep. Miles isn't sure when was the last time he slept; dimension hoping made time very confusing.
As they stepped into the house in Queen's (Miles assumed it was the living room but he couldn't be too sure,) Mary Jane stepped in from another room. It was kind of weird knowing who she is without even being presented first.
"Hi, I'm-" He started, a bit slower than he would like to. Too many hits in the head for one day.
"Miles" She completed seamlessly, smiling brightly at him as she put her hands on his shoulders "I had heard so much about you," And out of nowhere, she hugged him "Thank you for bringing him back to me," she told her in a really low voice, one he wasn't sure if it was meant just for him or not.
As tired and beaten down as he felt, he couldn't help but smile fondly as he awkwardly hugged her back. It was a good reminder too, that some of the greatest things he did weren't for being Spider-man, just by being Miles.
"C'mon honey, let the kid breathe," Peter says as he walks up to them.
"And you-" Mary Janes puts a finger on his chest, she doesn't look especially pleased but not too angry "I imagined it was serious when you went back to leave Mayday with me, but what happened? All of you look like you were thrown into a blender."
"Is a loooong story," Peter said, putting his hands up as he is trying to placate her anger, "Speaking of which, I promised them they could crash here until they recharge, hope that's okay-"
"Hmph," Mary Jane crosses her arms, looking at her husband unimpressed "I prefer a little bit more of a warning when you invite people, but I guess this was an emergency. Help me out to get some stuff for our guest."
"On it ma'am," He said with a mocking salute, to which she rolled her eyes before going to what seemed to be the kitchen. Despite how tired Peter B should be, he smiled brightly at them and said "Relax guys, my house is your house."
"Don't need to tell me twice mate," Hobie said as he looked around for a place where to drop dead, which seemed to be everyone's idea. They were all beaten down.
Miles, despite being ready to sleep for an eternity, followed Peter B and Mary Jane because even half dead his upbringing was stronger than any tiredness could be, and he could hear his mom in the back of his head saying "Be polite, bring a gift, and ask if you can help with anything they may need when you are visiting someone!"
Sadly he couldn't bring anything after trying to defy fate and time itself, but at least he could still be nice.
Aparently the couple didn't realize he was following them, because when Mary Jane turned around with cups in her hands she said "Oh Miles! Do you need anything?"
The place was homey, almost in an old-timey way. Pictures everywhere, a floral wallpaper that reminded him of white old ladies, but the warmth he feel around wasn't exactly for the warm lighting.
The kitchen seemed to have the same vibe, kind of similar to the one the Aunt May of his universe had.
"Um, I was going to ask if you guys needed any help?"
"Oh you are sweetheart," She said cheerily, before softly shaking her head "But you don't need to do anything, you are our guest and you had done more for us than you can ever imagine; please go to rest."
"You hear the lady, sit this one out, we will handle it," Peter said as he patted his back, before looking behind Miles and saying "Hey Gwen, you want anything?"
Miles turned around once he saw Peter looking behind him. Gwen stood at the entrance to the kitchen, she has been so quiet Miles also didn’t hear her come.
At the sound of her name, Gwen straightened her back and blinked a bit, as if she has been falling asleep on her feet, yet somehow she has decided to follow them here for some reason.
As she looked on to the front, she seemed to have the faintest blush, before she groaned and scrubbed her eyes “No, I- sorry, I guess I need some sleep.”
“Oh you can say that for all of us,” Peter laughed gleefully, before leaning his head to the side for Miles “You guys go to the living room, we will see if we can whip something quick to eat and see what we can do about emergency sleep arrangements.”
As they went to the other room, Miles realized that everybody has somehow found an answer to that last issue.
The living room had two loveseats and one armchair, and everyone more or less had found a place. On the loveseat that closest to the entrance, Noir was sleeping with Peni and Ham in his arms, Peni’s robot was turned off in a corner, and on the arm closest to Peni’s and Noir’s head was a hologram that read “Say ‘Spider-byte’ to bring user’s attention. P.S: Don’t wake me up unless the dimensions are collapsing.”
Pavitr has decided to go on the armchair, and you would believe he has been sleeping there for a long time because his head was hanging on the side, one of his legs was on the arm of the couch and the other lying against where your back is supposed to go. If it wasn’t because he was breathing fine, Miles would have thought he lost conscience and someone drop his body from the ceiling.
Speaking of the ceiling, even with one more loveseat available, Hobie had opted to make a hammock out of webbing as close to the ceiling as possible, on a corner of the room. From his position, Miles thought Hobie was using his mask on; maybe he needed more darkness to sleep than he needed to breathe properly.
At least it meant his decision was easy.
Dragging his feet on the ground, he let himself fall onto the side of the loveseat, he would have rejoiced in glee at how soft the couch felt against his beaten body if he himself wasn’t so tired.
Yet he didn’t have time to even sigh before he felt someone else not only fall right beside him but had her head leaning towards him. Miles felt himself go still as he felt the warmth of Gwen right beside him.
Despite the loveseat being big enough to have space for both of them.
How rigid his body was must have alerted Gwen because her eyes fluttered open, and seemed to look a bit confused towards him before she almost jumped on her spot and moved away enough that their bodies weren’t touched anymore.
“Shoot,” She muttered to herself before she hit her forehead “Sorry, when I am sleepy I just- sorry.”
Perhaps is because he was tired and his mind was making stuff up, but somehow things were starting to click in his head. The sleepiness in Gwen seemed to make her follow someone, and for reasons beyond his understanding, Miles has been the person she has decided to attach herself to, even if subconsciously.
“That’s different” Gwen had said to him before in the Williamsburg Tower, saying it as if somehow what they had was different from what she had with anybody else. That conversation felt like a lifetime ago, and yet his heartbeat raced all the same.
There were still a lot of things to talk about, of the lies and the secrets that she has keep, and how he has been feeling about all of this. Even now he wasn’t sure what to say.
“Is fine, we are all tired,” He said casually, before raising the arm that was closest to her side, “Come here, we can catch some zzz together.”
And regardless of all of it, he felt himself wanting to reach out to her too, missing her warmth even if he only got to have it for a second.
In a way, that’s what had ended up happening to him, wasn’t it? She came for what should have been just a blink in his lifetime, and he still was unable to let her go.
Her eyes opened slightly, as if she was surprised he had actually said that; probably thinking all the same things that were still between them and neither of them had the brain to talk about. He saw the hesitation in her eyes, as if she herself wasn’t sure if it was okay to accept.
Maybe it was a bit of wishful thinking on his part to think that way, as he said “Is okay, you can lean on me Gwen.”
Miles has really meant that in a literal way, even if deep down, he knew he meant it all the way. As upset as he was, he couldn’t bring himself to be mad at her, not when they were like this.
That seemed to be all the encouragement that she needed, because she quickly went back to his side, in fact so quick he was a bit shocked.
“Thanks,” she whispered to him, bringing her knees up to her chest as she rested her head on his shoulder, one of her arms hugged Miles’ waist as her other hand was left between her knees.
As it was the most natural thing in the world, his arms went around her, holding onto her as he rested his head on top of hers, “No problem.”
Despite the pain, the couch and still being in his suit, it was the best sleep he had in months.

hii i found ur blog the other day and im kinda obsessed with it now. i was wondering if u could write something with a gothic victorian vibe?? between a servant and their master, where something bad happens to the servant (sickness, exhaustion, etc) and now the master has to take care of them. love ur writing :))
Welcome, friend! I'm glad you're here. I'm not very good at gothic Victorian vibes, but I hope this is close enough! My first thought was of a large manor with one of those giant garden mazes in the back and a party. Enjoy!
Falling Ill
-----------*-***-*-----------
Servant wasn’t allowed to be sick. Half of the servants had already taken ill, and most of those still well were busy caring for the sick. Even Servant’s father, the Butler since before Master’s father’s father passed on, was trapped in his bed. It was up to Servant to take control as they had been taught. They wouldn’t let the Master down.
It was possibly the worst time for the house to fall ill. In only three days, the Master was scheduled to host a crucial party. This would be their chance to establish their role as head of the fastest-growing company in the country. Many important people would attend, and for Masters house to be in such disarray would be a disgrace.
In other words, Servant didn’t have time for the cough settling deep in their chest.
They attended a meeting with the Master shortly after the Master had eaten their breakfast. The original plan had been to narrow down the list of essential tasks before the event as the Master ate, but the smell of the rich bacon and eggs made Servant’s stomach churn. The Master had assumed the extra time was needed to care for Servant’s father and agreed, and Servant didn’t correct them.
“Don’t misunderstand me, Servant. I don’t enjoy your father being sick, but I’m glad you’re beside me for this.” Master whispered. “When your father served mine, it wasn’t him but you who stayed with me. I’m grateful for your loyalty and understanding of how I want things done.”
It was a lot of pressure, but that was alright. By the time supper rolled around, Servant’s stomach had settled enough for a small meal. They and the rest of the staff had also completed more than half of the list of tasks.
The next day, nearly half of the remaining servants were bedridden. A few of the first to become ill were beginning to recover but would not be well in time to assist with the remaining preparations. However, those who could stand and move were able to care for the others, keeping Servant from losing any more hands.
Servant found they couldn’t keep their own hands from shaking as they attempted to write down a few last-minute additions and changes the Master gave them. Their head drooped, and they kept their eyes down to avoid allowing the Master to see the bags under their eyes from the largely sleepless night.
“Servant?” Master asked as Servant nearly dropped their pen. “You’re not ill, are you? I don’t think I can do this without you.”
“Of course not, Master. I will see you through this event to the end. It will be a party like no one has ever seen.”
And Servant kept their word. They were careful to keep the sickness contained within the servants’ quarters. The list of tasks was completed with time to spare, and, as the gardeners were all bedridden, Servant themselves trimmed the hedges in the garden. The maze of tall plants and decorative fountains was to be the highlight of the event.
Holding tall, Servant ignored the weight of their arm as they guided the others to their next tasks. They lifted their feet high while walking the arriving guests through the manor so they wouldn’t drag across the clean carpet. Gloves kept the uncomfortable sweat on their hands from bothering the guests, but they still found themselves pulling their suit jacket tighter around them against the chill.
In all, Servant was miserable. The party, however, was splendid. They could see the smile on the Master’s face each time they made eye contact across the room. As the Master looked a little too long, and their smile turned to something that imitated concern, Servant would look away. Their Master didn’t have time to be distracted.
Eventually, the guests began to leave. Each sang the Master’s praises as they walked through the door and requested Servant communicate their interest in setting up meetings to continue working with the Master. They took their sweet time, not caring that despite the sun’s steady march toward the horizon, Servant still had work to do.
Though this party had not been particularly rowdy, Servant had to hold back a groan at the trash and decor that needed to be cleaned before the night was over.
Once again, Servant found themselves out in the garden. Though the hot summer sun was setting, the warmth was finally enough to begin to breach the chill that felt like it had sunken its claws into Servant’s bones. At least, it was warm as long as they kept their slightly damp jacket on.
Servant’s head throbbed as they bent over to retrieve a fallen napkin from the center garden. It was amusing how weak they had become. They would have laughed if they’d had enough air to do so. Most of the mess in the large maze was not worth worrying about for the moment. It could wait till tomorrow when Servant had recovered more of their strength. So, they gathered the bag they had been working with and began to make their way back.
They walked. And they walked. They walked toward the exit of the maze until the sun had dropped below the horizon, leaving the maze in shadow. The lights in the garden had all been put out when the last of the guests left, but Servant could still see the manor lights shining over the top of the tall hedges. They would be there soon. They had to keep walking.
“Servant!” The Master was running toward them.
“Master.” Servant stumbled slightly as they bowed their head. “I was on my way back inside. I fear I could not finish the cleaning in the garden today, but I will see it taken care of first thing tomorrow morning.” They had to stifle a cough at the end but felt a sort of pride they could explain themselves despite finding it challenging to take in enough air to support their words.
Master sighed as they stepped closer to Servant. Their gaze was a little too intense for comfort. “Forget about the cleaning. I’ll help myself tomorrow. The rest of the staff have been ordered to rest. We couldn’t find you.”
“My apologies, Master. I should have been there to communicate your wishes for you. I was in the central garden.”
“I sent someone to look in the central garden nearly an hour ago. You weren’t there.” Master took Servant’s hands and slowly removed their gloves. “You’re still wearing this heavy jacket. Why?”
Servant took a step back. “I’m sorry, Master. I did not lie. I was only just in the central garden. There was a slight breeze there that kept me cool. I didn’t notice the heat.”
A hand wrapped around the back of Servant’s head, pulling them ever so close to the Master. The back of Master’s free hand pressed against Servant’s forehead as their lips turned down in a frown. “Servant. Can you tell me where you are right now?”
The Master’s hand was cool against Servant’s forehead. They found themselves having to resist the urge to press against it. “Of course, Master. I’m in the garden maze.”
“You’re in the far east corner of the maze. About as far from the entrance as you can be.” The Master’s foot nudged the bag Servant had been carrying. “Can you pick this up?”
Servant’s legs shook, and their head swam as they bent to follow their Master’s request. They felt hands pressing them against something warm. “If you had told me you were sick, I could have taken care of you sooner.”
The green leaves of the garden blurred together. At some point, they were sure they heard voices. All they could understand was their Master’s hushed voice sighing, “It’s alright. I’ve got them now.”
Oh. Their Master was carrying them.
The world slowed somewhat as the Master entered through the lounge door. It would be a long walk back to the servants’ quarters, but hopefully, their stomach would settle when they were back on their feet. If only their Master would set them down.
“Please, Master. Set me down. I can make it to my room on my own. Thank you for your help, but I would rather the others—”
“You won’t be going to your quarters tonight. From what I’ve learned in the past hour, the others seem to respect you as well. They knew you were sick, yet you did your best to protect them from the illness and ease their workloads.” Master set Servant down on soft sheets they immediately recognized. They were in their Master’s room. “The others seem to be on the mend, though your sickness is only just reaching its worst. Rather than risk spreading the illness through the servants again, I believe it would be best for you to stay here with me. This way, I can take care of you.”
Despite Servant’s concern, they found themselves drifting off. The cool icepacks they couldn’t remember being placed around them felt almost as nice as the hand brushing through their hair.

The Best Kind of Danger

She had to tell him. He had to know. She didn't want to take any more chances of losing him. Tonight, she faced the reality of the world around her; the reality that his heart wasn't hers. She was terrified to lose him, yet scared to tell him the truth, but thinking about life without him made her want to cry. She never imagined that a man she'd met only a year ago could make her feel this way and become her world, her happiness, her safety; become her everything, and the idea of never being with him because she was too afraid of rejection hurt her deeply. He looked at her the second the tear slipped down her cheek. She casually brushed it away, never knowing he was watching her.
"I don't do pools, I don't do oceans, I don't do anything that requires me getting into a swimsuit. I just don't like them."
Cassie followed Folio inside the lodge with Jolly close behind her. Ever since Matt told everyone that the lodge they were staying in had a hot tub Jolly made it his mission to convince Cassie of the many reasons why she needed to pull out her swimsuit, the one she told him she didn't have, and get in it.
Folio knew how Cassie got when feeling pressured and it always brought out his protective nature for her. He felt the need to defend her or stick up for her even though he knew she could do it on her own. Cassie never argued or told him to stop either, which only encouraged him
He was trying to be on good behavior and not snap, but Jolly's persistent attitude was starting to piss him off. He was exhausted from the show; still in the same sweaty clothes and sore. From the severe pain running from his bicep and up the side of his neck, Folio figured he pulled a muscle somewhere.
"Fuck dude, why are you riding her case about it? Just fucking let it go. If she doesn't like them, then she doesn't like them," he barked "What? Pools, hot tubs, or swimsuits?" Jolly teased, forcing Folio to suddenly stop and turn around. Cassie ran right into him, her face smashing against the bag strap across Nick's chest.
"Ouch, holy shit," Cassie yelled, grabbing her nose. "Oh my god, Cassie, I'm so sorry! Fuck, I didn't mean to," quickly offering her assistance. "What the hell! Why'd you stop like that?" brushing his hand away. "I was turning around to look at Jolly, and I just," stifling a laugh that faded the second he saw the discomfort on her face.
The way she was rubbing her nose and her eyes welled up with tears hurt his heart. Nick pulled her closer, cupping her face to examine it. "I'm sorry," he said gently, giving her a half smile. Cassie smiled back, placing her hands over his. "It's okay. It just hurt, really bad, that's all," shrugging her shoulders.
The scent of him made Cassie's knees weak. He smelled like his deodorant, incense, and sweat; he smelled like Nick and damn she loved that smell. Folio caressed her cheeks with his thumbs, taking the opportunity to relish the feeling of her skin. It was always so soft and he loved having his hands on it; on her.
"I think the universe is trying to tell you something," Jolly chuckled, moving around the two of them to get by. "What that me hurting Cassie saved your ass?" Folio scowled, slapping him in the back as he walked by. "Just get in the fucking hot tub!" Jolly yelled, walking away. Folio rolled his eyes.
"You sure you're okay?" focusing his attention on Cassie, who, by now was fixing her hair and readjusting the bag over her shoulder. She was still in his hoodie, making him wonder if he'd get it back. To be honest he didn't care if he didn't. It looked better on her anyway.
Cassie nodded. "I'm fine." To reassure him, she gave his bicep, the same one that was hurting, a slight squeeze, and his face scrunched in pain. "Oh, sorry! What's wrong," a worried look washing over her face.
"I don't know, it just hurts. Pain's running up the side of my neck too," he said, dragging his finger up and down to show where it was hurting. Cassie didn't waste a second before dropping her bag and laying her hands on his neck after removing his back from around him. The delicate touch of her cool fingers moved smoothly over his skin, massaging over his newest tattoo of Jesus.
"You probably pulled a muscle with all that crazy arm throwing you do when you play. You're a crazy animal, Nick." peering up at him through her lashes. "Yeah, but you like me that way and you know it." His eyes were glued to her, watching her face as she worked her magic on him. Cassie paused for a moment before a warm smile rushed over her lips, sending his heart racing. "Yes, I do; very much."
A strong, vast heat surrounded his length, the throbbing quickly making him uncomfortable in his briefs. She was turning him on so badly and with the release of the pressure and pain that came as she rubbed the nerves and muscles, working out every tensed knot that had formed from weeks of overwork made him light-headed, and dizzy. For a brief moment, the vision of her in only his hoodie returned, cascading over his mind like a welcoming rainstorm on a hot summer night, and along with the images of him finding his release within her walls, it stimulated his hardness even more.
"You crushed it tonight, though." "Did I?" trying to ignore the butterfly feeling running like a racehorse through his body. "You don't think so," she asked, her voice low and alluring. She worked out a remaining knot right below his shoulder blade. "Do you always believe me when I say you're fucking hot?" turning his head slightly to look over at her. His jaw was clenched, showing off his well-defined jawbone. Cassie paused and leaned into Nick's back, resting her chin on his cool bare skin and wrapping her hands around his shoulders. She wanted to fall into him, absorb every bit of him into her body.
"No, I don't." "Well, then see, I don't always think I did so great. I messed up a lot tonight." The tension that was quickly developing around them was unusual, but not unwelcome.
Cassie continued working her fingers up and down Folio's neck, pushing away his silver chain with the trout on the end of it so she could have easier access to his body. A soft, hard groan that only came out when something penetrated him in ecstasy, escaped his throat as she moved her hands down to his bicep.
Cassie's skin prickled and she suddenly ached between her thighs for Folio. What little of him she had in her hands stimulated her sex, bringing her to the point of silently begging him for release. Even though Nick didn't notice, at first, how easily he set her body ablaze, the soft whimper that escaped was a sign she wanted more; so much more. Cassie wanted all of him.
Nick heard that whimper and for the first time, ever, he was positive that something incredibly strong was building between the two of them. "I think you're too hard on yourself, Nick," she indicated. "You do huh?" She nodded. "Mmmhmm, I do. Sometimes, you don't realize how great you are and what you do to people; what you do to me." Those last words she whispered, he heard them, and they did the most incredible things to him. Folio quickly turned and faced her, hoping to see what he was dying to see in her eyes. And he did.
The eyes that reminded him of deep forests in springtime looked back at him with such tender longing, almost bringing him to the edge of himself. Folio was done for. He no longer wanted to fight the feelings that came every time Cassie was near him, or when she touched him. He was tired of resisting and ignoring the way she made his heart and body feel alive. He wanted to embrace all of it now, to show her, tell her, that the only thing that mattered to him was her heart and that it belonged to him. She had to know that he was completely hers now and he never wanted anything else but her again.
Cassie's breath hitched the moment she saw what she did in Folio's eyes. It seemed like a light had come on and he was seeing her in a whole new way. It gave her hope that maybe he was beginning to understand the things she was trying to say without saying them. Folio moved in closer to Cassie, sliding his hand across the side of her face and behind her head. Her lips are calling to him, beckoning him to come and get them.
Cassie licked her lips, anticipating the idea of what Nick was thinking about as he looked at her like she was his last meal. Her heart felt like it was about to beat out of her chest the closer he came, and with her hands pressed hard against his shoulders, gripping the flesh and muscle beneath them, she braced herself for the ultimate feeling that was about to hit her.
"Folio! Where the fu... oh shit!" Noah yelled from across the lodge, interrupting the most incredible moment between Cassie and Nick. Cassie backed away in sudden panic. Folio was after all part of her job, and even though the family atmosphere was a huge factor in it, she was still scared that getting involved romantically would be an issue for Bryan. Plus, she still carried the reality of her secret that hung around her like a sickness; one she feared she'd never get rid of. She picked up her bag and slung it over her shoulder.
"Cassie, wait," "No, I should go find a room or something," she mumbled, scampering away, embarrassed and crying. She sped past Noah, almost knocking into him. "What the flying fuck Noah!" "What? How was I supposed to know you and Cassie were about to have a fucking make-out session?" throwing his hands up in the air only to let them fall back down at his sides. "We weren't about to make..., you know what, just forget it."
Groaning, Nick ran his hands through his hair, pushing it back out of his face. He snatched up his bag, feeling utterly depressed now over what just happened with Cassie. How was he going to fix this? Was she even going to let him fix this? What started as a fantastic moment turned into a horror show, all because of Noah, and Nick was having a really hard time processing it.
"What did you want?" standing across from Noah, not even trying to hide how pissed off he was. "I'm sorry man, I didn't mean to get in between. I know how you feel about Cassie," Noah apologized, laying a hand on his friend's shoulder. Folio shrugged. "It's fine." Noah noticed the rigid line of his friend's clenched jaw and knew he was holding back his temper. "I fucked up didn't I Folio?" Nick's mouth was set in a hard line. "Yeah, just a little." Noah draped his arm around Nick's shoulder. "Cassie is an awesome girl. I'm sure you two can work this out." Folio wasn't so sure.
"Do me a favor and don't mention any of this to anyone. I don't want to embarrass Cassie or make her feel any worse than what she probably already does." Noah grinned, admiring Nick's consideration. "You got it, man," patting him on the chest. The two of them headed to where everyone else was gathered while Cassie hid in the corner of a hallway, mortified and crying.

67 Alejandro Balde please:))
Lover~Alejandro Balde
*GIF isn't mine. credits to the owner*
you know I had to mention taylor swift here, esp after I found out that Ale doesn't like Taylor Swift 🙃. enjoy <3
you can request from my prompt list
this is my master list
players/drivers I write for
67-“please play guitar for me.”
After the bad match and shitty referee, Alejandro was devasted. They didn't manage to score, and the referee was definitely against them.
y/n watched the match from home, not being able to travel with Ale, but she knew that when Alejandro would come, he would be in a bad mood.
She decided to make him his favorite dinner, with some dessert, of course without breaking his strict diet.
Alejandro texted y/n, telling her not to wait for him and just go to sleep. She saw the message and didn't reply, she wanted to be there when he came.
After a few hours, y/n heard the front door open. She rushed to the door, to see a very tired Ale with his bag.
"amor. I told you to sleep, you have work early in the morning tomorrow" he said, a weak smile on his face.
y/n ignored him and wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. He hugged her back, dropping his bag on the floor.
"I took tomorrow off because I know you would be tired and I wanted to help" she said into his neck
He smiled, pressing a kiss on the side of her head. She pulled away and looked up at him.
"I made you some dinner. come on" she tried walking away but he grabbed her wrist before she did so
"I don't want to eat. I had a small snack after the match and I'm not hungry" he said, exhaustion evident in his voice
"are you sure? its already done, I can put some quickly" she said
He smiled and shook his head
"I'm sure...I just...play guitar for me please?" he asked in a soft voice, making y/n realise how tired and disappointed he is. Her heart clenched at his request. He always found comfort in her playing the guitar and singing for him
She smiled and nodded. Ale flopped down on the couch, y/n walked to her room, grabbing her guitar and walking back to the living room
"what do you want me to play for you?" she asked, placing the guitar on her lap
"Lover" he said, making y/n pull a confused face
"I thought you didn't like taylor swift?" she asked, a small smile on her face
"not when you play her songs though. plus she's grown on me a bit. I mean what do you expect when my girlfriend doesn't listen to anything but her" he chuckled making y/n smile wider
She pressed a kiss on his cheek, before starting to play the guitar for him. He laid his head on her shoulder
We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January And this is our place, we make the rules
And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you dear Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years?
Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever?
And ah, take me out, and take me home
You're my, my, my, my Lover
She stopped playing and looked at Ale, he was looking at her with a smile, making her smile too
He leaned up, and pressed a kiss on her lips, pecking them for a few times after that
"thank you" he whispered against her lips, his eyes half closed
"anything to make you feel better babe" she whispered back

"Vaelys, my love," Aemond began, his voice barely audible. "Please, don't leave me. I can't cope without you. You're my strength, my light. I don't know how to live in a world where you're not by my side."
He squeezed her hand gently, as if the mere act could tether her soul to this world. "I can't lose you," he continued, his sobs growing more pronounced. "I won't survive it. You're everything to me, Vaelys. My Queen, my heart. I don't know how to go on without you."
Aemond's tears fell onto her blanket, creating tiny, darkened spots on the fabric. He pressed his forehead onto her shoulder, his body shaking with the force of his sobs. "-I love you so much."
The room seemed to close in around him, the oppressive silence amplifying his grief. He could hear the distant murmurs of the Maesters, but their words were meaningless to him now. All that mattered was the woman lying in his arms, the woman who held his heart.
The realm could go to the seven hells, for all he cared.
As the night deepened, Aemond continued to whisper his desperate pleas, his voice raw with emotion. "You promised me a lifetime, Vaelys. Don't let this be the end. I can't do this without you. Please, come back to me. Please-"
Exhausted, he laid his head beside hers on the pillow, still holding her hand tightly, his tears mingling with the strands of her silver hair.
As dawn's light began to seep through the heavy curtains of the chamber, Vaelys stirred. Her eyes fluttered open, and she found Aemond still nestled beside her, his face etched with worry and exhaustion. His eye, though filled with sorrow, softened as he saw her wake. He leaned in, his breath catching in his throat.
"Vaelys," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
Vaelys managed a faint smile, her hand reaching up to touch his cheek. "Aemond," she said softly, her voice weak but filled with love. "My brave dragon. My heart."
Aemond clutched her hand, bringing it to his lips. "I'm afraid," he admitted, his voice breaking. "I don't know how to live without you."
Vaelys shook her head gently. "Aemond, my love, you have given me everything. Because of you, I've had a life filled with joy, with love. Our children-they are a testament to our bond. You've made me the happiest woman in the world."
Tears welled up in Aemond's eye again, but he listened intently, holding onto her every word.
"You are my twin flame," she continued, her voice growing steadier. "In you, I found my other half, my soulmate. We've faced so much together, and through it all, you've been my rock, my strength. I am so grateful for every moment we've shared."
Aemond's tears fell freely now, his heart aching with the intensity of his love for her. "Vaelys, I don't want to face the world without you. You are my everything."
Vaelys smiled, her eyes shining with affection and a deep, abiding love. "And you are mine, Aemond. Always remember that no matter what happens. Our love is eternal. It transcends time, and nothing can change that."
She took a shaky breath, her gaze never leaving his. "You have to be strong, for our children, for our legacy."
Aemond nodded, though his heart felt like it was breaking. "I will, Vaelys. I promise. But please, don't leave me-"
Vaelys cupped his face with her hand, her touch gentle and filled with tenderness. "I love you, Aemond. More than words can express. No matter where I am, a part of me will always be with you. In your heart, in our children's laughter, in the legacy we've built together."
She closed her eyes, her strength waning. "Thank you for loving me, for giving me a life filled with wonder and joy. I will always be with you, my love. Always."
Vaelys stirred, her eyes fluttering open to meet Aemond’s. She managed a faint smile, her hand weakly reaching up to touch his cheek. "My Aemond," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "My dragon."
Aemond leaned in closer, his heart aching. "Vaelys, I'm here," he said, his voice trembling. "I'm right here."
"I’m so tired, Aemond," she admitted, her voice frail and filled with exhaustion. "So very tired."
Aemond's tears began to fall, dropping onto the silken blankets that covered her. "I know, my love," he said, his voice breaking.
Vaelys looked at him with eyes full of love and sorrow. "I-I don’t want to leave you," she whispered, her voice quivering.
Aemond clutched her hand even tighter, his tears flowing freely now. "If you need to rest, Vaelys, you can," he said, though every word felt like a dagger to his heart. "If you need to go, it’s okay-“
Vaelys' eyes filled with tears as well, and she nodded weakly. "I love you, Aemond. More than anything in this world. You’ve given me a life filled with love and joy. I will always be with you, in your heart."
Aemond leaned down, pressing his forehead against hers. "And I will always love you, Vaelys. Forever and always."
Vaelys' hand slipped from his cheek, and her eyes closed as her strength finally waned. She took one last, shallow breath, her body relaxing in his arms. Aemond felt her go limp, a wrenching sob escaping his lips as he realized she was gone.
"Vaelys-" whispered Aemond, his voice breaking.
He held her close, his body shaking with the force of his grief. The room was silent, save for the crackling of the fire and the sound of Aemond's heartbroken sobs. In that moment, the world seemed to stop, and Aemond knew that nothing would ever be the same without his beloved Queen.
Aemond screams of heartbreak and anguish echoed throughout the Red Keep, a mournful sound that reached the ears of everyone within its walls. The guards outside the chamber exchanged solemn glances, their hearts heavy with the sorrow that filled the air. Servants paused in their duties, bowing their heads in silent respect for the King Consort's grief.
Aemond rocked back and forth, holding Vaelys tightly, as if his embrace alone could somehow bring her back. "I love you," he sobbed, his voice hoarse and desperate. "I love you more than anything. You were my everything, my heart, my soul. How am I supposed to go on without you?"
He pressed his forehead against hers, his body wracked with uncontrollable sobs. The room felt colder, emptier, as if the very essence of joy and life had been stripped away with her passing. "Vaelys, please," he whispered, his voice a broken plea. "-Not yet."
But there was no response, no gentle touch to soothe his pain, no loving words to ease his despair. Vaelys was gone, her spirit departed, leaving Aemond to face a world that felt unbearably dark and empty without her.
As his cries of grief continued to echo through the Red Keep, the people within its walls mourned alongside their king consort.
"Your Grace, please allow us to enter. We must tend to the Queen."
Aemond's response was immediate and fierce. "NO" he shouted, his voice raw with anguish. "No one is to enter. No one will touch her."
Maester Clarke exchanged a worried glance with the other servants and guards. "Your Grace," he tried again, his tone gentle but insistent, "-The Silent Sisters must be allowed to prepare her- It is tradition."
Aemond's grip on Vaelys tightened, his eye blazing with a mixture of sorrow and fury. "I won't let them take her," he said, his voice breaking. "I won't let anyone take her from me."
"Father," called Sovia softly, "Please. Let us in-let them help. Mother deserves the proper rites."
Aemond shook his head vehemently, tears streaming down his face. "No. I can't let her go. I can't bear it."
"Father, we understand your pain, but Mother wouldn't want this. She would want us to honour her properly,” said Daevyn.
"We must be strong, Father. For Mother. For each other. She would want us to carry on, to honour her memory with dignity” whispered Aemon.
Aemond's body shook with sobs as he held Vaelys closer. "I can't," he cried. "I can't say goodbye."
“We're here, Father," Rekara said softly. "We're all here to help-to get through this together. But you need to let them in."
“Father-“ uttered Jacaerys.
But Aemond would not be swayed. His grief had turned to rage, a tempest of emotions that threatened to consume him. "I won't listen to any of you!" he spat, his voice thick with anger. "I won't let anyone take her away from me!"
"Grandpa-it's Vhalarr. Can I come in?"
With a heavy sigh, he rose from his seat, his steps heavy as he approached the door.
Slowly, he opened it just a crack, his eye meeting Vhalarr's with a mixture of grief and gratitude.
Vhalarr stepped into the chamber, his heart aching at the sight of his grandfather's pain. He crossed the threshold, closing the door behind him with a soft click.
The room was silent save for the sound of their breathing, the weight of their grief hanging heavy in the air. Aemond stood before him, a broken figure bathed in shadows, his sorrow etched deep into the lines of his face.
Vhalarr approached him slowly, his footsteps echoing softly against the stone floor. "Grandpa," he said gently, his voice filled with compassion. "I'm here for you. Whatever you need, I'm here."
As Aemond turned to face him, his facade of strength crumbled, and he collapsed into Vhalarr's arms, his body wracked with sobs. Vhalarr caught him instinctively, holding him close as the weight of his grief threatened to crush him.
Aemond's cries echoed through the chamber, a raw and anguished sound that tore at Vhalarr's heart. He held his grandfather tightly, offering what little comfort he could, knowing that no words could ease the pain of losing someone so dear.
For what felt like an eternity, they remained locked in their embrace, the only sound the desperate sound of Aemond's weeping.
"Grandpa," Vhalarr said gently, his voice steady despite the turmoil in his heart. "I know this is hard, but we need to let the Silent Sisters in. They can help prepare Grandma for her final journey."
Aemond's body tensed at the mention of the Silent Sisters, his grief-fuelled resolve still strong. But Vhalarr held onto him tighter, refusing to let him push everyone away.
"They will treat her with the utmost respect, Grandpa," Vhalarr continued, his voice soft but firm.
Aemond remained silent for a long moment, his body trembling with silent sobs. Vhalarr could feel the weight of his grandfather's grief pressing down on him, threatening to drown them both.
Finally, with a shaky breath, Aemond nodded, his resistance crumbling in the face of Vhalarr's unwavering support. "Okay," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the echoes of his sorrow. "Let them in."
Vhalarr released a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding, relief flooding through him. With gentle hands, he helped Aemond to his feet, guiding him to the bed where Vaelys lay.
Together, they watched as the Silent Sisters entered the chamber, their movements graceful and reverent as they approached the bed.
But as they moved to lift Vaelys from the bed, Aemond's hand shot out, grasping the edge of the sheet with a fierce determination. "No," he said, his voice hoarse with emotion.
The Silent Sisters exchanged uneasy glances, "We must take her now, Your Grace," one of the sisters said gently, her voice filled with sympathy. "It is not proper for you to witness-"
But Aemond cut her off with a fierce shake of his head. "I don't care about propriety," he said, his voice trembling with emotion. "I won't leave her side. Not now, not ever."
Vhalarr stepped forward, placing a hand on his grandfather's shoulder, his eyes filled with understanding. "Grandpa," he said softly, "Please. Let them take her-“
But Aemond's gaze remained fixed on Vaelys' still form, his determination unwavering. "I won't leave her," he repeated, his voice barely a whisper. "I can't."
In the chambers of the Silent Sisters, Aemond stood with a heavy heart, watching as they prepared Vaelys' body. The air was heavy with silence, broken only by the soft rustle of fabric and the hushed whispers of the sisters as they went about their sacred task.
As they reached for the linens to wrap Vaelys' body, Aemond's hand shot out, his voice firm and resolute. "Stop," he said, his tone commanding yet filled with a quiet intensity. "I'll do it. I shall be the last to touch her"
The Silent Sisters hesitated, surprised by Aemond's sudden assertion. But they could see the determination in his eye, the love and reverence he held for his beloved wife.
With a nod of understanding, they stepped back, allowing Aemond to approach Vaelys' still form. He stood before her, his hands trembling slightly as he reached out to gently caress her cold cheek, his touch lingering with a tenderness born of a lifetime of love.
Leaning down, Aemond pressed a soft kiss to Vaelys' forehead, his lips lingering against her pale skin for a moment before he straightened, his resolve firm.
“I love you-“
With steady hands, he began to wrap her body in the white linens, his movements slow and deliberate. Each fold was a testament to the depth of his love, a silent vow to honour her memory with the utmost care and reverence.
As he worked, the Silent Sisters watched in silence, their hearts heavy with sympathy for the grieving King Consort.
But Aemond remained steadfast, his focus unwavering as he carefully completed the task. And when he was done, he stood back, his hands resting on the shrouded form of his beloved wife.
With tears streaming down his cheeks, Aemond looked upon Vaelys one last time, his heart heavy with grief yet filled with a quiet sense of peace.
With a choked sob, Aemond collapsed to his knees, his body wracked with the force of his grief. His cries echoed through the silent chamber, a haunting lament for the woman he had loved so deeply the woman who had been his everything.
Aemond felt a hand rest gently on his shoulder, a silent gesture of support and understanding. He looked up through tear-blurred eyes to see Vhalarr standing beside him, his own cheeks stained with tears.
"Grandpa," Vhalarr said softly, his voice thick with emotion. "You're not alone. I'm here with you."
Aemond lay curled up on the bed he had shared with Vaelys, her absence a palpable ache in the air. The scent of her lingered on the sheets, a haunting reminder of the love they had shared and the emptiness that now filled his heart.
Suddenly, the door swung open, flooding the room with light and the sound of hushed whispers. Aemond looked up, his eye bleary with tears, to see his children entering the room, their faces etched with sorrow and compassion.
Without a word, they climbed onto the bed, surrounding their father with their presence. One by one, they wrapped their arms around him, pulling him close in a silent embrace.
Aemond buried his face in the crook of Sovia's neck, his body shaking with silent sobs. Daevyn placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, his own tears mingling with his father's. Aemon and Rekara held onto him tightly, offering silent support, while Jacaerys leaned in close, his voice barely more than a whisper.
"We're here, Father," he said softly. "We're here for you."
Together, they lay on the bed, their bodies forming a protective circle around Aemond. They held him close, offering what little comfort they could as he grieved the loss of the woman who had been the heart of their family.
As the sombre toll of the bells echoed through the streets of King's Landing, the city mourned the passing of their beloved Queen. The people lined the cobblestone streets, their faces etched with sorrow as they watched the procession pass by.
Flower petals drifted through the air like tears, their vibrant colours a stark contrast to the grey skies above. The scent of roses and lilies mingled with the heavy weight of grief, filling the air with a bittersweet fragrance.
At the head of the procession, a grand carriage draped in black carried the shrouded form of Queen Vaelys.
But it was not the carriage that drew the attention of the crowd—it was the figure walking behind it, his head bowed, and his shoulders stooped with the weight of his sorrow.
Aemond had, refused to sit in a carriage or ride a horse. Instead, he walked behind his Queen, his steps slow and measured, his gaze fixed on the ground before him.
With each step, Aemond felt the weight of his grief pressing down on him, threatening to crush him beneath its relentless weight.
The people of King's Landing watched in silence as Aemond passed by, their hearts heavy with sympathy for the grieving King Consort.
But as they lined the streets, their silent presence spoke volumes, a testament to the love and respect they held for their Queen and the man who had loved her so fiercely. And as the funeral procession disappeared from view, Aemond walked on, his silent vigil a poignant tribute to the woman who had meant everything to him.
As the funeral procession wound its solemn path through the streets of King's Landing, the sky above was suddenly filled with the majestic form of Vermithor.
With each powerful beat of his wings, he soared through the air, his massive form casting a shadow over the grieving city below.
The mournful song of Vermithor echoed through the streets, a haunting melody that seemed to pierce the hearts of all who heard it. His sorrowful cries filled the air, a lament for the loss of his beloved rider.
As the funeral procession reached the grassy banks outside of King's Landing, Aemond stood with a heavy heart, his eyes fixed on the spot where Vaelys' body now lay. The air was heavy with grief, the solemnity of the moment weighing down on him like a leaden cloak.
With a deep breath, Aemond approached the pyre, his steps slow and deliberate. His heart pounded in his chest as he looked down at Vaelys' shrouded form.
In his shaking hands, he held a daisy chain-made by his youngest great granddaughter, a simple yet poignant symbol of the love they had shared. With trembling fingers, he placed it gently on her wrapped body, the delicate flowers a stark contrast to the starkness of death.
Closing his eye, Aemond bowed his head in silent prayer, his thoughts filled with memories of the woman he had loved so deeply. He whispered words of farewell, his voice barely more than a whisper, as tears streamed down his cheeks.
And then, as if in response to his grief, Vhagar descended from the sky with a thunderous roar. Her massive wings beat the air, stirring up clouds of dust and debris as she landed beside the pyre, the great dragon lowering her head low in a silent gesture of sorrow and respect for the passing of her rider’s love.
The time had come for him to give the command to Vhagar, to ignite the pyre and send his beloved Queen on her final journey.
But as he opened his mouth to speak, to utter the word that would set the flames alight, he found that the words wouldn't come. His throat felt tight, his tongue heavy with the weight of his sorrow. Try as he might, he couldn't bring himself to give the command.
A sense of panic washed over Aemond as he struggled to find his voice, his hands trembling at his sides.
But then, a gentle hand slipped into his own, grounding him in the present moment. Aemond looked up to see Sovia, standing beside him, her eyes filled with determination and strength.
Without a word, Sovia glanced towards Silverwing, who stood nearby, and in that moment, Aemond understood.
With her voice firm and unwavering, Sovia gave the command that Aemond could not. "Dracarys," she said, her voice carrying across the quiet clearing.
As the flames roared and danced before him, casting a flickering glow over the clearing, Aemond felt an overwhelming urge to step forward, to immerse himself in the searing heat of the dragon's fire. It was as if a voice whispered to him, urging him to join his beloved Queen in her final journey.
With a heavy heart, Aemond took a tentative step forward, his eye fixed on the blazing pyre before him. For a brief, fleeting instant, it seemed as though he would surrender himself to the flames, to the consuming embrace of fire and ash.
But then, as if sensing his intentions, the hands of his children closed around him, pulling him back. Their grip was firm and unwavering, their voices filled with concern and determination.
"Father, no!" Sovia cried out, her voice echoing through the clearing.
Aemond looked into the eyes of his children, his heart heavy with sorrow and gratitude. In that moment, he realized the depth of their love, the strength of their bond.
With a trembling breath, Aemond allowed himself to be pulled back from the flames, his steps faltering as he collapsed into the arms of his children.
Sovia stood at the forefront, her expression stoic yet resolute. Her mother's crown, a symbol of power and authority, was placed upon her head with great reverence, its weight a reminder of the responsibilities that now rested upon her shoulders.
Beside her stood her husband, Daevyn, his own expression solemn yet supportive. The crown of their father, now passed down to him, sat upon his head, a testament to the legacy of their family.
With a steady voice, the High Septon stepped forward, his words echoing through the clearing as he declared Sovia the new queen of the Seven Kingdoms. The crowd fell silent, their eyes fixed on the newly crowned queen and her king consort, their hearts heavy with the weight of the moment.
Sovia held herself with grace and dignity as she accepted her new role, her gaze unwavering as she surveyed the faces of her subjects. She knew that the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and trials, but she was determined to lead her people with wisdom and compassion, just as her mother had done before her.
Beside her, Daevyn stood tall and proud, his hand clasped tightly in hers as they faced the future together.
Alone in the dimly lit chambers of the Red Keep, Aemond sat in solitude, his heart heavy with grief and his mind consumed by memories of the woman he had loved with all his being.
The coronation of his children, Sovia and Daevyn, should have been a moment of great joy and celebration, a testament to the enduring strength of their family and the resilience of the realm.
But for Aemond, the thought of attending such an event was unbearable.
Instead, he remained hidden away in his chambers. He sat before the crackling fireplace, the warmth of the flames a stark contrast to the cold emptiness that filled his heart.
In his trembling hands, he clutched a robe that belonged to Vaelys. The fabric was soft and worn, the scent of her perfume lingering on it like a bittersweet reminder of the life they had shared together.
With each breath, Aemond drank in the familiar scent, allowing it to envelop him in a cocoon of memories and longing. He closed his eye, his mind drifting back to happier times, when laughter and love had filled the halls of the Red Keep, and Vaelys had been by his side, radiant and full of life.
But now she was gone, her absence a gaping hole in his heart that could never be filled. And though he knew he should attend the coronation of his children, to fulfil his duty as the previous King Consort, he could not bring himself to leave the safety of his chambers.
Eventually exhaustion overtook him. His eyelid growing heavy with the weight of his sorrow, and soon, he succumbed to the embrace of sleep.
In the quiet of the chamber, the flickering flames of the fireplace cast dancing shadows across the room, and Aemond drifted into a fitful slumber. His dreams were haunted by memories of Vaelys, her laughter echoing in the recesses of his mind, her gentle touch a fleeting sensation against his skin.
But as sleep began to loosen its grip on him, Aemond felt a gentle touch on his shoulder, pulling him back to consciousness. He stirred, his mind still clouded with the haze of sleep, and for a brief moment, he thought he heard Vaelys' voice calling his name.
"Vaelys?" he murmured, his voice thick with sleep as he reached out instinctively, expecting to find her warm embrace.
But instead, his hand met with empty air, and he blinked away the remnants of his dreams to find Sovia standing before him, her face etched with concern.
"Father," she said softly, her voice breaking through the fog of his mind. "It's me, Sovia."
Aemond's heart clenched with a sudden surge of grief as reality crashed over him like a tidal wave. He looked up at his daughter, his eyes brimming with tears, and in that moment, he saw the ghost of Vaelys reflected in her features.
"Sovia," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "I'm sorry. I thought-"
But Sovia reached out a hand, gently brushing away the tears that streaked his cheeks. "It's okay, Father," she said, her voice filled with compassion. "I understand."
And in that moment, Aemond felt his grief swallow him whole once more, consuming him with its overwhelming intensity. He buried his face in his hands, his shoulders shaking with silent sobs as the weight of his loss pressed down upon him like a leaden shroud.
Sovia knelt beside him, wrapping her arms around him in a comforting embrace, offering him solace in the midst of his pain. And as they sat together in the quiet of the chamber, father and daughter bound by their shared sorrow.
In the weeks that followed Vaelys' death, Aemond retreated further into the solitude of his grief, his heart heavy with the weight of his loss. The once vibrant halls of the Red Keep now felt empty and cold, their echoes a painful reminder of the woman who had brought light and warmth into his life.
Day after day, Aemond shut himself away in his chambers, seeking solace in the silence and solitude. He spent hours sitting before the fireplace, the flames casting flickering shadows across the room as he stared into the dancing embers, lost in memories of the past.
At times, he would take out parchment and quill, penning letters to Vaelys that he knew she would never read. He poured his heart out onto the page, his words a desperate plea to the heavens, a futile attempt to bridge the chasm that now separated them.
But no matter how many letters he wrote, no matter how many tears he shed, the ache of his loss remained unchanged, a gaping wound that refused to heal. And so, he would sit, lost in his thoughts, his heart heavy with the burden of his grief, praying to whoever was listening to just let him die, he had promised her-but this was one promise he couldn’t keep, he couldn’t exist without her-he didn’t want to exist without her.
Outside his window, the sky stretched endlessly overhead, a vast expanse of blue that seemed to mock him with its boundless freedom. Aemond would stare up at the heavens, his eyes tracing the path of the stars as they shimmered in the darkness, wondering if somewhere among them, Vaelys was watching over him.
But no matter how long he stared, no matter how hard he searched, he found no solace in the vastness of the sky. For his queen was gone, lost to him forever, and no amount of longing or despair could bring her back.
As Aemond lay in bed, enveloped in the silence of his chambers, he felt the weight of his grief pressing down on him like a suffocating blanket. The memories of Vaelys haunted him, her absence a constant ache in his heart that refused to fade.
And then, as if from the depths of his own longing, he heard her voice—a soft, melodic whisper that sent shivers down his spine. It was as if she were calling out to him from beyond the veil, a beckoning from a world he could not see.
For a moment, Aemond's heart soared with hope, his mind filled with the possibility of reunion with his beloved Queen. He closed his eyes, his breath catching in his throat as he reached out, as if to grasp hold of her ephemeral presence.
But then, a sense of peace washed over him, a calmness that seemed to settle deep within his soul. He realized then that he was ready, ready to let go of the pain and sorrow that had consumed him for so long.
With a sense of finality, Aemond closed his eye once more, surrendering himself to the embrace of the unknown. He felt as though something were reaching out for him, a gentle hand guiding him towards the light.
As Aemond slowly stirred from his slumber, he was met with a sensation unlike anything he had ever experienced before. Surrounding him was a blinding light, so intense that it seemed to sear through the darkness of his dreams and into the waking world.
Blinking against the brightness, Aemond raised a hand to shield his face, his heart pounding in his chest as he tried to make sense of his surroundings. Everything felt strange, yet familiar at the same time, he was in his chambers but as his vision began to adjust to the light, Aemond realized something even more astonishing—there was no pain. No dull ache that had plagued him for so long, no phantom twinge of the scar that had marred his face since childhood.
With trembling fingers, he reached up to touch his face, his breath catching in his throat as he realized what he had found. His left eye, the one that had been lost to him for so many years, was whole once more.
It was a sensation he had almost forgotten, the feeling of having two eyes instead of one.
He stood in front of the looking glass and was stunned at his youthful reflection staring back at him, over the years his hair hair grown grey and his face lined with wrinkles but here now-his hair was silver and his face smooth and sculpted.
What was going on?
As Aemond stood in the threshold of his chambers, the sound of laughter danced on the air, drawing him irresistibly forward. With each step he took, the laughter grew louder, filling him with a sense of warmth and joy.
And then, he stepped through the doorway and found himself standing in the midst of the gardens, bathed in the golden light of the sun. The warmth of its rays washed over him, chasing away the shadows of his grief and filling him with a sense of renewal.
Beneath his feet, the grass was soft and, tickling his bare skin as he walked. The scent of flowers hung heavy in the air, their delicate fragrance a symphony of colours and shapes that surrounded him on all sides.
And as he wandered through the garden, basking in the warmth of the sun and the gentle embrace of nature, Aemond felt a sense of peace settle over him.
Then he saw her, sitting amidst a bed of wildflowers, her hands deftly weaving daisy chains with a grace and ease that took his breath away.
She looked so beautiful, her youthful skin glowing in the warm sunlight, her smile radiant. Aemond's heart swelled with a mixture of joy and disbelief as he watched her, unable to tear his eyes away from the vision before him.
"Vaelys," he whispered, his voice trembling with awe and love.
She smiled, that same tender, loving smile that had always made his heart skip a beat. “I’ve been waiting for you."
Aemond sank to his knees beside her and reached out, cupping her face in his hands, his fingers tracing the familiar contours of her features.
"I missed you so much," he said, his voice breaking with emotion.
Vaelys placed her hands over his, her touch grounding him in the reality of their reunion. "I missed you too, Aemond," she replied, her eyes glistening with tears. "But now we’re together again, and we have an eternity to share."
He leaned in, resting his forehead against hers, their breaths mingling in the still air of the garden.
Without a word, he pressed his lips to hers, the kiss soft and tender.
It was a kiss that spoke of love, longing, and the promise of forever. In that moment, Aemond knew he was home. His heart was whole once more, mended by the presence of the woman who had always been it's other half.
When they finally pulled apart, Vaelys smiled up at him, her eyes twinkling with mischief and affection. She patted the ground beside her, indicating for him to sit. "Come," she said, her voice as warm and inviting as the sunlit garden around them. "It's time you learned how to make daisy chains."
Aemond chuckled, feeling a lightness in his heart as he settled down beside her. Vaelys reached over and placed a pile of picked daisies in his lap, their delicate petals soft against his skin. She took one flower and began to demonstrate, her fingers nimble and sure as she wove the stems together.
"Watch closely," she instructed, her tone playful yet patient. "It's simple once you get the hang of it."
Aemond watched her intently, his eyes following the movement of her hands. He picked up a daisy and tried to mimic her actions, his larger hands fumbling slightly with the delicate stems. Vaelys laughed softly, her laughter a melody that filled the air with joy.
"Like this," she said, guiding his hands with hers. Together, they worked on the daisy chain, their fingers brushing against each other in a dance of love and connection.
As they wove the flowers together, Aemond felt an overwhelming sense of peace and contentment. Each daisy added to the chain was a symbol of their unbroken bond, a testament to the love that had transcended time and death.
"There you go," Vaelys said, holding up their finished creation. "See? You did it."
Aemond smiled, pride and happiness radiating from him. He took the daisy chain from her hands and gently placed it on her head, crowning her with the delicate flowers.
"Thank you," he whispered, his voice filled with gratitude and love. "For everything."
Vaelys reached up and touched the daisy chain, her eyes shining with tears of joy. "We're together now, Aemond," she said softly. "That's all that matters."
And as they sat in the sunlit garden, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love they shared, Aemond knew that he had found his paradise. With Vaelys by his side, his heart was whole, and he was finally at peace.

New York New Rules Pt. 6
Warnings: Violence, Trauma, Fluff, maybe Smut, mental health, blood
Summary: Y/N meets the survivors of the last events in Woodsborrow and gets on Ghostface's list. But there is also a darkness in Y/N wich path is she going to choose
Female Y/N x Tara Carpenter
Sorry for bad writing. I'm using a translator and hope you guys can enjoy it. Also, this is going to be a slow burn
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6,
My body felt heavier than usual and I felt exhausted. Why was that actually the case? Shouldn't I be full of energy after sleeping?Lately I just didn't seem to be able to recover and then there was this light. I sighed and pinched my eyes. How did this tense light always get through my curtains? I had bought extra dark ones and always made sure to close them in the evening so that no light would bother me...
Suddenly I felt a touch on my right shoulder. Confused, I pinched my eyes and tried to open them slowly, but it was definitely too bright.
"Turn some lights off" I heard a female voice say, but could not arrange it. I immediately noticed the difference through my eyelids and tried again. Slowly my eyes got used to the light and I saw the person who had put her hand on my shoulder. Angry I told her "what the fuck Kirby... did you give me sedatives?! seriously?!" she briefly pressed her lips together and looked at me with a crooked smile "you had a little panic attack and if we hadn't done anything..." I shook my head and touched the place Where they rammed the syringe into my arm "that wasn't cool" Kirby tensed for a second.
Now my gaze left Kirby and I realized that I was in the hospital. I quickly scanned the room and noticed the Woodsborrow gang. When they noticed my confused look, Tara said "Kirby called us and we set off immediately"
Did they? Were they really worried about me? Did they care? I asked myself and looked thoughtfully at my bandaged arm.
That's right... there was still my half-slit hand. Fuck.
"After all, you are no longer one of the main suspects," Mindy said and came to my side as she supported herself on the railing of the bed. Bitter I looked at her "wow... and for that I just had to be attacked by Ghostface?" And then suddenly there was guilt in Mindy's eyes. She detached herself from the railing and straightened up slightly confused.
I could literally feel the tension of the others. It felt like energy, it was heavy and crushed the air in the hospital room. Irritated I looked at her and continued "and that's enough? To take me off the list? If I were really Ghostface... and who knows maybe it's me. Then the first thing I would do would be to hurt myself to be no longer suspected as Ghostface."
Mindy opened her mouth and didn't know what to say. Anika already put her arm under hers and pulled her to the side, whispering something I couldn't hear. Then my gaze met Sam. What did she think right now? I asked myself when I looked into her dark eyes and couldn't find anything in it. I exhaled slightly and put my head back when I briefly closed my eyes and had the black eyes of Ghostface in front of me. I was back in this dark corridor, but this time there was no light at the end of the tunnel.
"We should talk to her," Tara whispered. But I kept my eyes closed. I was now assed to catch up. I was ashamed of what happened. I couldn't help Maria.
I immediately opened my eyes and looked at Kirby in search. I grabbed her hand that was laying on the railing "Maria?!"
Kirby squeezed my hand firmly and gave me a warm smile "it's really a miracle but she made it. She is not awake and it will take her a while to recover."
Calmly, I nodded and squeezed Kirby's hand. Maria was fine, after all. However, the shame did not disappear. I was weak! How many times had I thought of such situations? And I really thought I was strong enough? I am such an idiot! How could I think I was strong when I didn't even manage to defend myself, let alone survive. I certainly wouldn't be here without Kirby.
I know exactly where I would be. I would lie in the corpse hall with counts of knife stabs and a slit hand plus I would not even have had the chance to get closer to Tara anywhere.
Tara... my attention was back and I was looking for her look. She was now on my left side and Sam at the end of the bed. Mindy, Chad and Anika had left the room.
"What happened?" Tara asked and there was this spark in her dark eyes again. Damn, I was never a fan of brown eyes, they never interested me, but since I knew Tara... I had that feeling to sink into them and there was something I liked about it.
Her voice was calm and caring. Again something completely different that I never heard from her before. From my side eye I recognized how Kirby was moving and looked at Tara and then at Sam. My brain played the whole event and I started "I had just finished the pizza and talked to Maria. She went forward and then everything happened so fast" I was so confused that I couldn't resist a short laugh. My eyebrows tightened slightly when I thought of the word "surreal" and looked at Sam "on the other hand, it felt like time had stopped when I saw Maria with the knife in her throat and then Ghostface"
"He didn't call you?" Kirby asked. Suddenly Tara's hand was on my shoulder. I exploded from the inside and was hit with nervousness, but I tried not to be noticed. I smiled and shook my head.
Why did I always have to smile about unpleasant things? I just couldn't let it go.
„Strangely not. He said that he didn't have my number and he knew about my working hours in the pizzeria, I immediately tried to find clues" I looked at Sam "to recognize who it was, but fuck these costumes make it really hard for you" she nodded to me in agreement. "the fact that he or she... didn't have my number, made me think that it was Ethan. Apart from the attack that followed, I didn't get any reaction from Ghostface..." Kirby nodded "apart from the fact that we couldn't catch him... strangely enough, he didn't leave a mask like in the other crime scenes" I looked at my hand. My whole arm was bandaged and I couldn't do anything with that at first.
"Something about this attack felt different..." I began and looked at Sam "the attack felt very personal..." thoughtfully and with serious eyes she looked at me "to what extent?" I looked at Tara and met a searching look. Several words jumped through my head as I tried to find them suitable. When I had put the sentence together to some extent, I looked at Kirby "as if I were a needle in the eye."
Sam and Tara seemed to be confused but Kirby's knew what I meant. I could virtually see the screws in her head when she processed my statement. She nodded "I'll pass on your statement to the station and be right back..." she now looked at Sam and then Tara "you should inaugurate her. If you trust me..." Kirby looked at me and she slightly raised the corners of her mouth "then you can also trust Y/N. For her, I would get a knife stab" one last time she pressed my hand and disappeared.
There was a strange feeling in my chest. Something that exceptionally felt good when Kirby said that.
Sam sighed, "Where do we start?"
——————
"Fuck... that's really... well… shit" I said and found no suitable words. I looked upset at Tara. I couldn't interpret her feelings, but this forced smile seemed very tormented to me "I'm so sorry..." It wasn't my fault. I didn't know her so well but damn... it hurt me to know that. To know what she and Sam went through and to get through it again. How did they have to feel? If I were her, I would also be careful and would certainly not let any strangers approach me.
But what made me sadder was knowing how she had felt. Now that I was attacked, I could imagine it well and could literally hear her screams in my head. Shit, I hoped I wouldn't have to hear her scream.
Deep inside, I wish I had been there and could help her.
Y/N what kind of shit are you actually talking about? You've known Tara for 6 months and have hardly exchanged a word with her... I'm such a fucking Simp.
"I guess we got something like matching tattoos," said Tara now and had forced to smile when she raised her hand and showed me her scar. We were matching?
I looked back at my bandaged arm. Damn it... matching wounds. But hey, at least something that allied us if I want to see it positively.
Now I looked at Sam. Now I understood her monologue that she had presented to me after the taxi ride... "Loomis… so" she nodded "maybe my words have no meaning for you but... after all this ‚we have the same therapist’ thing... I don't think you're a killer... I don't know why but I feel like I can understand you and trust you… and trust me. I also have trust issues" cherished she smiled. It was a smile that reached her eyes.
"Thank you for telling me about your story... I'm completely honest. Mindy is something like my only best friend... but I haven't felt like I was part of your group so far. And if I were you... I wouldn't let anyone into it so quickly."
Tara's hand lightly squeezed my shoulder.
Wow, was her hand on my shoulder the entire time? Damn it seemed to be my lucky day today. Wait, what kind of shit am I saying? Maria and I were almost killed.
Suddenly there was a knock on the window and our eyes met that of Quinn and Ethan. I looked at the two of them skeptically. Detective Bailey could now also be seen behind Quinn. "I rule that," said Sam and left me and Tara alone. She sighed and leaned slightly over the scaffolding.
She played with her fingers and seemed to be in her thoughts. "I'm really sorry," I said again, drawing her attention to me. Peaceful That was the first word I could think of when she looked at me. "You don't have to apologize for something that happened to you" I shook my head "no I'm sorry for what happened to you..." now the peace disappeared and a slight solid was recognizable. She looked at my bandaged hand. "Of course I wasn't there and didn't know you, but I wish I had, because then I would have liked to ram a baseball bat in the face of this stupid bitch," confused, she looked at me but had to smile. "Sorry, I don't even have the right to call her a stupid bitch, I finally stopped myself and got a fast heartbeat from the smile she threw at me. "I think I'm high," I said and began to laugh. Perplexed, she looked at me but could not stop grinning when my laughter became more and more. That was the part where I wanted to hide my face in my hands, briefly I had cursed with pain as I tried to lift my arm, to hide my face and left slowly my arm back in place. Astonished, I looked at it "these painkillers... are incredible"
"Are you Sure it is?" She asked now and looked up at the morphine. Confused, I followed her gaze and saw that it was not dripping at all. "Oh..." confused, I looked around and slowly began to sweat. Suddenly there was such a strong heat in me and then these palpitations "you can’t hear my heartbeat, can you?" I asked laughing and stopped immediately when I realized that I had just asked her that loud. Tara laughed. I could imagine how empty my expression was at once. I would have laughed about it too. "No, I can't... should I?" I bit my lips and took her gaze in touch even though I tried to avoid it. "let me express it like that... I'm glad I'm not connected to any ECG"
Suddenly she leaned further over the railing. Her smile dirty and her eyes radiated something mischievous "Do I make you nervous?" I laughed. I was definitely nervous. And not ready for this intense gaze contact. Above all, I wasn't ready to hold it, but trangely I couldn't interrupt it. Was it the fear? Or did I like this situation with Tara more than I thought?
"Are you sure I'm not high?" I now asked seriously and carefully placed my bandaged hand on one of her arms that she had leaned over the railing. She laughed and nodded "pretty sure..." I carefully straighten up on "good... then I'm at least with full mind" flustered were visible in her eyes when she scanned my face before she could say anything. I quickly put my other hand on her neck and pulled her to me. I had greedily put my lips on hers, but I was frozen when I realized what I had just done. Carefully I detached my lips from her, our faces were still so close that my lips brushed hers when I exhaled with relief. "I've wanted to do this for so long," I whispered. Damn, why did I say everything I thought today? Had my body also conspired against my head?! And then it happened again. Only this time completely in a different way.
I put my lips so slowly on hers to be able to save every single detail. Why did it suddenly feel so liberating? And I owe it so well. Just when I thought that was the best feeling ever, Tara convinced me of something else. Her hand slowly slid around my neck as she pulled me closer to her and returned the kiss. Her touch around my neck triggered a vibration in me as I could never have imagined. And then those lips. "Fuck..." I whispered against her lips. They felt so damn soft. It was all so new to me... and there were so many feelings at once. With each new touch and interaction, I discovered something new. "Y/N..." she whispered to me as her grip around my neck became tighter.
Our lips moved in sync with each other and I swear I could kiss Tara for hours.
"Y/N..." no whisper this time...
Then I suddenly heard a bang. I was confused. But I didn't stop kissing Tara. I had to enjoy this moment now.
Then a bang again. But was it really a bang? "Y/N" this time it was louder and again the popping could be heard... wait... that was a snap.
I opened my eyes confused and saw in Tara's bright ones, a wide smile on her lips. I whispered "sweet dimples" and straightened up confused. She laughed even more.
"You fell asleep for a short moment but I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye first" crookedly I looked at her "what was the last thing that happened before I was gone?"
Again, she put her hand on my arm. This time the hand with the matching wound. "You asked me if you were high..."
"Fuck..." I said disappointed and let my head fall back. Was it all just a dream? Why? Why are you doing this to me God? I asked.
"You like to curse... don’t you?" Tara noted with a grin.
"In a world like this? Yes, I do" we both laughed.
"We're all going back to the apartment... if something should happen, we'll keep you up to date, okay? And I'm pretty sure you're safe here with Kirby. I hope so at least," she said and whispered the last part when she looked outside.
Oh my God, did Tara just say that she hoped I'm safe? How could you be so sweet and sexy at the same time?
"By the way... you have to tell me on occasion how you and Kirby know each other" she said and looked back at me.
"I’d love to... I like to talk to you," I whispered exhausted. She squeezed my arm slightly and gave me her smile one last time "see you soon"
Y/N you fucking Simp, you survived a Ghostface attack and exchanged more words and time with Tara than you could have dreamed a few days ago. Get her. What do you have to lose?

Sasha sighed groggily as her mother Barbra had everyone meet in one of the lounge rooms, Cody stood in a corner with his arms folded over each other right after he alerted her the moment she was awake of Roman planting cameras in her daughters room. Sasha hadn’t had an idea yet & was quite confused as to why Cody made her get up at 7:30 in the morning along with everyone else “Is there a reason why You woke me up in the butt fuck of dawn for this shit?” Barbra gave her a look while Seth sighed and sat down somewhere half asleep while he & Sasha’s mother began talking “I’m sure your all exhausted, clearly, but I would like to let you all know that Cody has brought it to my attention that Roman had been caught hiding cameras in Sasha’s bedroom. Now I cannot put this family, This team, on the line & I absolutely refuse for everything to go to shit by a man. Later today you will all be put into pairs to search around the house to make sure he hadn’t placed anything else around. Starting in the afternoon.” Sasha raised a brow & looked over at Cody Who stared back at her before she turned around on her heel & made her way upstairs.
She stared at her room seeing the broken camera shattered onto her floor followed by Romans bloody chain on her desk, Cody followed behind leaning against the door frame while she picked it up & looked up at him sensing his presence “Look at you getting all protective over me. Got a crush?” He rolled his eyes “Don’t start we were doing so good.” She tilted her head & stared at him “So good on what? We tolerating your mere existence?” “Fuck you Sasha I let you sleep in my bed” She smirked “Did you let me sleep in your bed or did you want me to sleep in your bed?” Cody scowled before turning and walking off leaving her alone while she held the necklace before walking out of her room to throw away the piece of jewelry.
She watched it fall into the trashcan that sat in the kitchen before going back into her room to put on a swim suit & relax out by the pool. Cody watched from his window as she laid on the pool chairs rubbing in sunscreen into her thighs and stomach, she felt as if she was being watched & stopped for a moment until looking at Cody’s bedroom window seeing him stand there while she smirked waving her fingers at him in a taunting manner before Randy went over to her.
“I need you to come see something. Right now.” Sasha glared looking away from Cody’s window & lifted her sunglasses “Did Seth die?” “No.” “Break his neck?” “No..” “Then I don’t see why I need to give up my personal Sasha me time.” Randy glared “It involves your mother now get your ass up.” She groaned and swung her legs onto the ground dramatically and got up to follow wherever Randy was taking her & soon saw an entrance to a basement that she never knew about that Randy already went through “Okay?? So what it’s underground storage, ooo so scary.” Randy glared and smacked the back of her head before dragging her down there letting her see what was in the basement causing her to furrow her eyebrows
“The fuck?” “Exactly.” She walked around the underground room seeing various pictures of Barbra & her father, court files, mugshots, death certificates of what seemed to be the people they “handled” back in the day following with various Crime scene evidence that was stolen such as weapons, clothing, weapons & more. Sasha stood there and then turned towards Randy “So what do you want me to do about it? This is to be expected.” Randy glared and crossed his arms “Your not pissed she hid this from us?” Sasha shrugged
“I mean what do you want me to do? Half of this shit was from the 80’s it’s not my problem to deal with.” Randy sighed before shaking his head “You & Seth are fucking stupid I swear to god.” She smiled “You love us enough to stay this committed to the family.” She teased before walking out of the basement back outside to the pool until Seth & Cody stopped her from lying back down while Seth started talking “Mom’s going out of town for business tonight & told us we need to get some sort of information out of this drug dealer, Rául González, He has association with Roman & we could find out what we need to know as to why Roman was planting cameras, I know exactly what we can do.” “Kindap him?” Cody suggests “Throw a party.” Seth blurted out while Sasha stood there glaring “Your like 28 what the fu-“ Sasha huffed out while holding up a hand “Seth didn’t have a Social life for awhile just let him throw the fucking party.” Cody crossed his arms over his chest and turned his attention over to Sasha “How are we gonna throw a fucking Party when Randy won’t let it happen? He’s like a guard dog.” “I can distract him.” Marianna said as she came out of nowhere “Fuck your creepy.” Seth shrieked while Sasha grinned “Marianna you don’t need to do all of tha-“ “He’s hot so why not?” Cody widened his eyes a bit and looked over at Sasha as she looked over at him before Seth randomly made the decision “Fuck it. Distract Randy.”
🖤🍒🖤🍒🖤🍒🖤🍒🖤🍒🖤🍒🖤🍒🖤
Sasha stood as she watched Seth & Cody carry in a variety of drugs into the house for this event such as, Marijuana, Shrooms, Ecstasy, Acid & more. Marianna walked into Barbra’s office where Randy would be sitting in organizing files & looked up at her “Yes?” She smiled innocently and sat on top of the desk “Watcha working on?” He quirked up an eyebrow “What’s it to you Marianna?” She shrugged before hopping off and walking over to behind the desk to sit herself on his lap “Just curious.” She shrugged her shoulder while he cleared his throat nervously. Soon occupying his attention to the attractive woman giving him her attention.
Meanwhile music started surrounding the house & Guests started welcoming themselves in real fast, Athena stood in a corner watching it go down while Cody approached Sasha in the kitchen with a tiny bag of weed wiggling his eyebrows while she smiled patting his chest and strutting off to say hello to one of her old friend Rhea who was known to be the businesses’ major negotiator when it came to Barbra making business deals & Drug sales, Rhea smiled as she kissed Sasha’s cheek “Long time no see Sash! I can’t believe how long It’s been since I’ve seen you.” She smiled while Sasha grinned “Only a few months, But i hear you’re still going strong on some of our deals, I was wondering when I would get to see you.” Rhea grinned as she noticed Cody staring them down “You two again?” Sasha grew a confused expression looking over into Cody’s direction before looking back at Rhea “Nothings happening, yet.” Rhea hummed nodding as her eyes diverted towards Sasha’s lips and grew a slight smirk “I must add that you look stunning tonight, Sash.” She smiled at Rhea compliment & looked over at Cody & back at Rhea before clinking her glass against Rhea’s and walking off to get something to drink in which Cody would follow her.
“You have a staring problem.” Sasha added as she poured herself a drink as Cody leaned against the counter taking a hit off of a joint he had rolled somehow while Rhea & Sasha were interacting “Can’t help it when the person I hate so much is everywhere I turn.” Sasha eyed his joint & he held it up for her to try but she shook her head “I hate joints. Bad aftertaste.” He smirked and moved closer towards Sasha & pressed his lips against hers before blowing the smoke into her mouth while she inhaled and blew the smoke back out after he gave her a shotgun for the first time in years.
“How’s that instead?” Sasha shrugged before taking a sip of her drink “Keep it up, you’ll end up getting lucky tonight.” Cody grinned before grabbing her hair & pushing her closer to him. Meanwhile Marianna sighed softly sitting on the desk with Randy between her legs kissing each other in a sloppy manner before he perked up a bit “What’s with the music?” She shrugged “Don’t worry about it.” He furrowed his expression until Mari grabbed the back of his neck and gripped on his shirt to get his attention to focus back on him, Seth noticed Rául had finally made his way into the house & rushed into the kitchen shoving Cody off of Sasha “Stop switching spit with my sister & get your shit together Ráuls here.” Cody groaned out in annoyance as he had just gotten cockblocked before Sasha shoved him away with Seth while she stood infront of the designated lounge room doors waiting patiently.
The boys followed Rául while Cody quickly smacked him in the side of his head knocking him out while Seth quickly dragged him off to the lounge rooms nodding at Sasha as she shut the door as the guys started tying the man to a chair. The two waited a good 30 minutes sitting in awkward silence until they heard Rául groan out in pain “What the fu-…” Seth got up from one of the couches & splashed a cup of water in the Drug lord’s face “Wake up sunshine we have a few things to talk about.” Rául glared up at Seth “Why would I tell you shit?” Cody squinted and rolling up his sleeves as he started going into detail “We know your association with Roman. And we think you may know a thing or two about some things that we don’t. Now i would heavily recommend fessing up to us before we get someone else you are heavily familiar with involved and you really would not want her involved.”
Rául scoffed “Her? A woman? You expect me to be scared of a woman?” Cody chuckled and looked over at Seth rubbing his jaw “We know you’re not as a badass as you think you are especially when she has dealt with you & your men by herself before Rául. So entertain us as to why Roman was planting cameras around the manor.” Cody sneered out at the grown man before he got directly spat on. Seth widened his eyes & looked over at the black haired male who was now pissed off while Rául made himself busy talking shit that he hadn’t even noticed Sasha walked into the room & then suddenly he became silent “What? I thought you were to much of a badass to be scared by a woman, what happened to that?” She taunted the man tied up in a chair while he stumbled on a few words “I-We-You-They-“ Cody snorted at the sudden shock in Ráuls body but then became serious as Sasha slapped the man across his face & held a knife to his throat “Answer the fucking question.” She commanded while repeating Cody’s previous question “Why was Roman planting cameras around my fucking home huh?” Rául cried out as she gripped at the back of his head pressing the knife closer to his skin.
“Sas-“ Cody tried taking the knife away but she pointed it at him glaring “Stay the hell out of this and let me deal with it.” She warned and he held out his hands in defense backing up while Seth grabbed his shoulder pulling him next to him “Just let her do her thing.” She shouted at the man again “Cops! H-He was going to collect footage o-on your g-guy’s business and bring it to t-the authorities in hopes of taking over!” Rául blurted out. Sasha looked over at Seth & glared before pulling away still holding the knife while Seth sighed “Well that was eas-“ Sasha turned around quickly & slit Ráuls throat making Cody yell out “Goddamnit Sasha!!” She shrugged & tossed the bloody knife across the room “What?! We can’t just let him out without worrying about whether or not he was going to tell people or not about tonight.” Seth had a hand over his mouth while Cody glared “Yeah well your mother didn’t say to fucking slice and dice someone’s fucking throat open!”
“Oh boo fucking hoo it’s not like you haven’t done it before!” He shook his head “No Sasha! I fucking haven’t! Are you fucking high?! Now we have to clean up the goddamn mess YOU made because you can’t follow fucking instructions without adding onto them! ” She rolled her eyes while Cody scolding her “Hey guy’s maybe we shouldn’t be having this conversation in-front of a dead fucking body.” Sasha scoffed “Seth get rid of whoever the fuck is in here and bring me towels, bleach & trash bags. I’ll handle it.”
Cody glared pointing his finger in her face “You don’t touch a goddamn thing!” She smacked his finger out of her face “If you point your stupid fucking finger in my face one more time i swear to fucking god I’ll cut it off in your goddamn sleep!” She shouted.
Hours later the house was rid of people Cody & Sasha scrubbed at the floor & got rid of any evidence a murder literally happened. The room was silent and filled with rustling since Seth was stuffing the upper body in a trash bag and tying it with the other trash bag that already covered the middle to lower of Ráuls body. Randy shoved the doors open seeing Cody & Sasha freeze mid floor scrubbing “I can’t leave the three of you alone for shit can i?” Seth smiled nervously before noticing a disheveled Marianna follow behind him with lipstick stains across her face & Randy’s belt a little undone before smirking “But yet it seemed to benefit you GREATLY!” Sasha teased while Cody threw a bloody sponge at her “Fucking focus!” She glared and threw it back at him ten times harder. Randy stared at Seth & gave him a stern look “Did you even deal with whoever the fuck Barbra needed you to deal with.”
Seth squinted in confusion “Do you not see me doing that right now Randal?” Sasha snickered to herself as she wiped up the soap off of the ground and grabbed the bucket of bloody water while Cody helped open the lounge rooms windows as she poured the water into a bush that laid right next to the outer part of the window while Randy sighed helping Seth pick up the bagged up body out of the house & into the trunk of his car while grabbing his keys “Seth & I are gonna be back later. And when I get back I’m having a discussion with each and every one of you.” Marianna smiled “Even me?” She teased as she was walked off not noticing Randy gave her a look and left with Seth. Cody turned to Sasha & Approached her “Your a pain in my goddamn ass you know that? We had the fucking information we needed and you just took it upon yourself to take things even further.” She smirked shrugging her shoulders “What can I say Cody. I like violence.” He glared & grabbed her by the hair and got in her face “Loose the fucking attitude before I make you.” She smiled looking up at him “And how are you gonna do that huh?” He clenched his jaw and almost spoke but she cut him off “If you think you could fuck it out of me you better think again. No matter how close you get to me I will never let you fuck me. Never in a million years.”
He quirked up a brow as she shoved him off & made her way upstairs & faced Athena on her way to her bedroom “Sas-“ “I don’t think you need to be speaking to me right now either. Wouldn’t want me to have my way with you.” She warned before shoving Athena out of her way as she went into her room. Cody looked up at Athena & scoffed shaking his head, once she made it down the stairs & pouted placing her hands around his shoulders “I haven’t been alone with you in weeks, ‘feels like she’s getting inbetween u-” Cody pushed her away glaring “Athena there was never an Us it was just a stupid fucking moment of me & you screwing for entertainment and me realizing I still have a thing for Sasha. Whatever game you’re playing at it won’t last long.” She glared back and crossed her arms “And yet she doesn’t want anything to do with you? She only interacts with you because it’s entertainment & you know it Cody. I see the moments where you both make out & she acts like she’s interested but she isn’t. If I were you I’d drop her. But apparently your to whipped for pussy you haven’t had in 7-8 years.” She snapped before shoving past Cody while he stood there for a moment & shook his head making his way up the stairs & storming into Sasha’s bedroom.
“Cody what the fu-“ Cody grabbed her wrist & hovered over her on the bed “Shut up, shut your fucking mouth, I don’t care how much you hate me goddamnit You’re going to realize you belong to me, not Athena, not Roman, ME. & you’re going to realize that tonight & every other night for the rest of your fucking life understand?” Sasha smirked and tugged at his hair “You finally grew some fucking bal-“ Cody flipped her over on the bed and smacked her on the ass before wrapping his hand around her throat “Stop running your fucking mouth like a goddamn brat Sasha I’m tired of it.” She bit down on her lip & watched as Cody sat up and snatched her pocket knife out of her bedside table & pressed it against her thigh “Can I?” He asked while she pressed her face into the pillows nodding, He knew for years she had a thing for knives & even liked the idea of him marking her in some sort of fucked up way but he wanted her verbal consent so he smacked her ass harder causing her to let out a loud moan before nodding “F-Fuck! Yes! D-Do whatever!” She cried out while he grinned & pressed the knife up against the back of her thigh & soon started cutting his initials into her skin while she let out a strained cry
“What’s the matter baby? Not so tough now are you huh, Is this what you needed sweetheart? Someone to put you in your fucking place and make you stop acting like a spoiled little bitch?” She nodded her head moaning at his harsh words before he finally set the knife down staring at his creature proudly before unbuckling his belt “I fucking own you, understand? Your mine, only mine, I don’t care how much you hate my guts and want me dead I own you.” He snatched off her panties from under her dress after sitting up and taking off his jeans while she cried out from the mixture of pain and pleasure nodding her head vigorous and let out a loud moan as Cody shoved his two fingers into her cunt & started pumping them at a quick pace before leaning down pressing his lips against her neck & biting her skin while her hips bucked up against his wrist every time he curled his fingers inside of her pussy causing her to clench around them and moan loudly
“Yeah? You fucking like that don’t you? You missed me this fucking much? How do you expect to take my cock soon when you can barely handle my fingers baby?” He muttered in her ear while her eyes were rolled back & tears streaming down her face “F-Fuck You!” He grinned pulling his fingers out & quickly smacked her clit making her squeal and grab at his arms before he grabbed the knife again and carved his initials onto her lower stomach before his fingers smearing her blood around his stomach with a smirk invading his face before he gave her the knife “Cut me, Mark me I don’t fucking care Sasha I want everyone in this goddamn city to know You own me.” He mumbled against her mouth while she breathed heavily as his hand was still placed on-top of hers “Your sick in the head” she mumbled while she started cutting her name into his chest while he groaned “Your just as fucked up in the head as I am sweetheart, Damn near close to cumming over me slashing you up like the dumb fucking whore you are.” He smirked while she leaned down licking up the blood from his chest before he flipped her onto her back and tossed the knife across the bedroom before tugging her face closer to his “Who fucking owns you? Who is it?” She moan softly as his free hand dipped in-between her bloody thighs & toyed with her cunt
“You! Fuck- All you Cody ‘m yours!” He grinned before lightly slapping her face and biting her bottom lip “That’s right princess, your all mine. I own everything about you don’t I slut?” He ran his mouth before leaving hickeys scattered around her neck before slipping his fingers back into her pussy & thrusted them in & out of her as he marveled over how she moaned leaning her head back nodding crying out his name before cumming around his fingers as her nails dug into his arm. Cody smiled devilishly before grabbing her jaw “Look at you making a goddamn mess around my fucking hand. Dumb bitch all fucked out from my fingers alone.” He chuckled before pulling his fingers out and stuffing them in her mouth while her thighs clenched around each other as her tongue ran down his fingers before he pulled away and held her close “All fucking mine.” He mumbled as she took heavy breaths and whines every now and then. He sat up with a groan & picked her up taking her to the bathroom attached to her room and sitting her down in the tub to wash her off and disinfect the cuts along with his “Looks like a fucking murder scene in there baby.” He sighed pressing a kiss against his cheek while she hummed out tiredly. “You sit in the water & soak off while I handle the sheets alright?” She nodded tiredly while he put his jeans on and not even bothering to find hi discarded shirt before tugging the bloody sheets & blankets off her bed & exiting her bedroom only to be faced with Seth who immersed saw the blood & cut on Cody’s chest.
Cody stood there for a minute & looked down at the sheets & back up at Sasha’s older brother “For the record before you try beating my ass I did not kill your sister Seth.” Cody tried defending himself but Seth was already pissed off enough seeing the blood on her sheets. Seth tugged them out of Cody’s arms and slammed him onto the ground causing Marianna to run out of her room after hearing a slam on the floor which seemed to concern Sasha just as much who also ran out of the bedroom already dressed in shorts & a mid drift top “SETH KNOCK IT OFF!” She shouted trying to get him off of Cody who was fighting back until Seth looked over at Sasha immediately seeing Cody’s initials on her thigh followed with Barbra’s sudden voice from the stairs.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”
