Seth was blowing up Leah's phone. He wanted her to go over to Sam's where all the witches were, mesmerizing the wolves with their magic. Actual, physical magic. Leah couldn't bring herself to answer them or head over. She feared if she saw Dieufel, someone would pick up on it that she had imprinted on him. It was annoying and she didn't need the other's sympathies for another wolf imprinting on a witch. The other pack members could still be caught murmuring about Jacob who had been kept from Evita.

Walking past her door, Sue Clearwater back tracks to peek into her daughter's room. "I thought you would be at Sam's. Seth couldn't stop talking about Evita's friends."

Leah scrunches up her nose like she'd smelled something terrible. If she were in her wolf form, her ears would have been pinned to the side of her head in irritation. That didn't translate to her human form. "I'll pass."

Sue stares at her in an attempt to read her. Leah hated that. Bad enough that everyone could hear her thoughts when she was a wolf. Like nothing was personal for her to keep to herself. "Are you okay? You've been cooped up in here all day. Sam doesn't need you on patrol?"

Not for the first time, Leah resented still living at home. Everyone was always in her business. All she wanted was peace and quiet and to be left alone. Honestly, she didn't know who was on patrol at the moment. After the fifth ring from Seth, Leah had shoved her phone underneath her pillow to muffle the noise. She could tell that her packmates must be squabbling to decide who would go out on guard and who would get to stay and watch Dieufel and his cousin make the wards. "I'm fine."

She doesn't buy that. Sue knew her kids. Maybe not as of late, but she knew when something was not right. Putting down the laundry basket she'd been transporting to her room, Sue enters Leah's room hesitantly. "I know I may not understand a lot of things concerning wolves and the pack, but I'm always here for you, Leah. Whether you want to talk or hang out-"

Her eyes flick up and Sue clips her sentence short. "I'm fine." Leah again repeated.

After a moment, Sue lets out a forlorn sigh and nods. "Okay. If you don't want my company then, maybe you should go over to the Black's instead of staying in here all day."

"Why?"

Sue purses her lips. "Jacob is having a tough time. He's been by himself since imprinting on Evita. Billy told me that even the Swan girl has stopped coming around to their house. He must have told her. He could use some company though."

That was the last thing Leah wanted to do. It would be the most pathetic hang out session. She didn't want to connect with him over this. Didn't want anyone to know. Especially not Jacob. He'd think they'd have some sort of camaraderie because of this shared experience. Leah just desired nothing more than to sweep this whole mess under the rug and forget about it. A few days ago, she'd had hope that maybe things were looking up for her. A tentative friendship sprung up between Leah and Evita that the she-wolf appreciated. Evita didn't pity her. Didn't even know what had happened between her, Sam and Emily. The girl was easy to talk to and was not spurned by Leah's surly attitude that was more or less her built in defense mechanism.

When Leah doesn't respond, she hears her mom sigh again before picking her laundry basket back up and continuing on her previous path to her room to sort through her clothes. Leah focuses on the sound of shuffling fabric being pulled out and the creaking of the whicker basket Sue liked to use. Leah huffs and leans back in her computer chair. Before Sue had come in, she'd been researching scholarships for college. Well, she'd been trying to but kept getting distracted by the ringing of her phone. College was the last thing on her mind, but it had taken her mind off of her supernatural life if only for a little bit.

Without thinking, Leah's hand pulls at the drawer in her desk and pulls out a picture that had been placed face down. A picture she hadn't looked at since Harry's death. Printed on the glossy paper was the smiling face of Harry, Seth and Leah. Father and son were decked out in fishing gear while Leah merely wore a baseball cap that once belonged to Harry. Grief that she had done been dealing well with bubbles in her chest to the point where she instantly throws the photo back into the drawer and slams it closed. Her skin trembled. Home wasn't safe for her either.

Having already been wearing her sneakers, Leah leaves the Clearwater household without another word.

She didn't like what she was about to do, but Leah couldn't help herself when she came upon Jacob Black's garage where she heard music streaming out of and the clanking of whatever metal he was tinkering with. His shirt was off, like many of the male wolves preferred, and Leah could see the muscles of his back move as he's elbow deep in the car's engine. At least Jacob was engulfed in a hobby. Leah didn't have many hobbies. Perhaps hiking and fishing, but there was little time nowadays for her to indulge in activities like that.

Sneakers scuffing against the pebbles that lead up to the entrance of his garage, Jacob's body freezes for a moment before he turned around and registered it was Leah. He arched an eyebrow, asking his question without having to open his mouth.

Heat floods her cheeks as she tells him the secret she was hiding from everyone. She just couldn't refrain the words spilling out of her mouth like a great force, unable to be pushed back in. Leah didn't intentionally go there to spill her guts out to Jacob Black but it happened anyway. There was no plugging it up. The dam was broken.

At her admissions, Jacob very slowly left his car to stand in front of her. He's unsure of what Leah needed in that moment. Not many people saw her this vulnerable, Leah made sure of that.

By the time she's done, her whole body is wracked with tremors. The hood to the car's engine was closed and both now had their butts pressing against it, facing out of the garage. Being soft like this had Leah's skin itching uncomfortably. "You probably think I'm pathetic."

"Pathetic? Why?"

Her face screws up in a scowl. "Because I am pathetic. Acting like this just because I. . . I imprinted." In frustration, her fingers card through her short, black hair. "And of course I had to imprint on a witch too."

"Well, technically he's not a witch. What's the guy version?" Jacob manages to pull a snort from Leah. "You know how imprinting works. It's out of our hands. We just drew the short straws. After this whole Volturi thing blows over we can tell them. For now we just have to be patient." He omits where he'd actually snapped at (y/n) the other day due to him being unable to control the hormones that imprinting caused to escalate. When he came down from the burst of aggression that seized him, Jacob accepted that he was in the wrong. Regretted yelling at one of his best friends.

"When have either of us been patient?" Leah scoffs and Jacob chuckles dryly. Certainly the most stubborn wolves in the entire pack.

Things had worked out for (y/n). She'd been lucky. Edward was with her now and they were exploring their new relationship and the dynamics it brought with it. And despite her frostiness toward the blood suckers, Leah was happy for her. They were pack-sisters after all. The only ones. Oddities among a pack full of guys. Somehow, she found it appropriate that their mates would be just as odd.

In her short life, luck had not been on Leah's side. Not with Sam, or her dad and possibly not even with Dieufel.

Bella and Evita were holed up in Sam's living room even as the sun started to go down. They had to relocate in order for Dieufel to make the second ward. Finally, you were able to bear witness to their magic firsthand. According to Sam, even when Evita made the first ward, there had been a lot of ceremony that went along with it. Dieufel followed it to the exact detail. That same tangy scent of magic pulsates around you. His gaze was fixated on a river stone, smooth and weathered, cradled in the palm of his hand. Its surface seemed to pulse with an ancient rhythm, as if it held the whispered secrets of generations past. A small bowl of herbs are slowly catching ablaze in front of him. He hadn't even used a match to light it. Only a few words and the hovering of his hand had summoned the smallest of flames required. Each syllable he uttered seemed to invoke forgotten forces, calling upon the spirits that held sway over the elements. The room responded in kind. Shadows seemed to dance along the walls, and a gentle breeze, though the windows remained closed, ruffle at your hair and kiss your face. You felt a shiver of something profound – the thinning of the veil between the mundane and the mystical. As if the stone itself was awakening, attuning itself to the currents of magic being woven around it, in crumbles into dozens of small pieces until it was but swirling dust particles. Working with magic made Dieufel's veins glow from under his dark skin. Long rivers of light run up his arms and down his neck. The protective ward Dieufel was crafting was not merely a barrier, but a conduit for their intentions, a manifestation of their collective will that the Volturi will not come to harm anyone.

When it was all done, Dieufel places it in your hand. You didn't think it would be this small. Even for your naturally blazing skin, the ward sat hot in your palm. The emerald the color the ward possessed seemed to ebb and flow, shifting in intensity as if it were a living entity. Intricate designs, etched with the precision of magic itself, adorned the surface. Carved into the emerald-like material were patterns that seemed to dance and intertwine, an intricate tapestry of symbols representing protection and connection. Symbols pulsed softly, a rhythm in harmony with the heartbeat of the universe.

"Wow." You breath is shaky. Bella was right. This was. . . Your brain struggled to come up with the most fitting words to describe it, but there was nothing that would do the experience justice.

Dieufel collapses onto the couch and closes his eyes for a moment. Embry asked if he was okay and the warlock merely nods. "Yes. I'll need to take a breather."

Nadege cleans up after her cousin and begins to make her ward. The bowl that Dieufel had burned miscellaneous herbs was refreshed by Nadege's quick hands. She hummed as she reset everything.

The other boys pawed at you to see the ward and you pass it to them so they can gawk over it although Sam has to stress to them to handle it with the utmost care. Even Quil and Paul duck their heads down to examine it closer.

Evita emerges from the kitchen to check in on Dieufel. "Do you want me to make you a tonic?"

He chuckles and pats the top of her dark curls. "I'll be fine. No need for worries. How is your apranti(apprentice)?"

That drew up everyone's attention. Embry and Seth in particular straighten up and crane their heads to see around Evita and into the kitchen. They were interested in the training, but Evita was strict on having it be just her and Bella so she didn't feel flustered. One had to learn magic in comfort.

Admittedly, Evita was no teacher. She was still young and learning her own power. It wasn't a position for her to teach. Fundamentals of magic, maybe. But not hands on training. That required a more skilled mentor.

Nadege sets aside what she had been doing and hops up onto her feet. "Well, if you are not opposed and if you're feeling better, I can teach Bella."

From the couch, Dieufel scoffs "You just want to show off."

Well, she didn't disagree but ignored him as she hands Evita a box of matches and passes through everyone to go into the kitchen. You and Embry exchange looks and follow her. Paul stops the younger boys and shoos them away. They just wanted to follow after Nadege.

Bella sat at the kitchen table, loose sheets of paper were in front of her. You can see the scribbling of words and bullet notes. Her pen taps against her temple before she looks up to see the three new people in her presence. She sets down her pen and sits up in her seat. Nadege briefly met Bella before Evita dove in on the lessons. Nadege's smile is blinding and catches Bella off guard. The witch's dark hand picks up some of the notes that Bella and Evita had been working on. Her green eyes skim over the surface and nods.

"Good, she's covered the foundations." Her eyes dash as she reads the rest of it, getting a grasp of where Evita had left off. You and Embry have to get on your tippy toes in order to read over Nadege's shoulder. She was so tall!Bella's cheeks turn pink in front of the enigmatic Nadege who glances at a few more notes before pulling out a chair for herself.

Shyly, Bella's gaze flicks over to you and Embry. Quickly, you smile over at her and subtly nudge Embry in the side. He's fast to take the hint and moves back into the living room where the air has picked up once more in a magical buzz.

Vibrations coming from your back pocket notify you of a text from Edward. You grin and excuse yourself quietly to pop outside. The air sang in your ears as you make your way deeper into the woods. Edward met you half-way out of habit. His gold pools sparkle with anticipation. "What's it like?"

He wouldn't go inside of Sam's house as long as he knew Bella was there, not wanting to make this awkward for her. It itched at him though to get a visual of what witnessing real magic was like. Also he was curious as to how Bella would fit in with the witches. Stunned was an understatement to how he felt when he learned of Bella's magical potential.

1. My first OC ever was from DBZ. A Saiyan named Magenta (Mah-Gen-tuh) who was taken from the planet she was meant to destroy and experimented on by a rogue scientist running from the Frieza Force.

2. Yes. It's a tie between my OC from TMNT, Aria, and Titan from TSAMS AU.

3. Yes. Her name was Chusi-Chu from the Sonic Verse. She was a Komodo Dragon with fire magic who loved motorcycles, strength based and loved hand to hand combat, and playing the drums.

4. ...His name was Twitch...and he was a cicada mutant who was a horrible flirt and had the energy of a child on a sugar high. He kidnapped cats and children because he had a soft spot for them but was VERY off putting about it.

6. I don't have that... yet...

7. Uh, Dancing Through Space currently.

8. Not anymore! I wouldn't mind doing it some day, though.

9. I might make an adoptable some day. But none of my current ones.

10. Andromeda and Twitch are the most complex designs. Twitch was a cicada mutant based on Cell from DBZ's base form with a little more cicada like features. Andromeda is the first DCA OC I ever made with a bunch of tiny stars peppered all over her casing and rays and most of them were individually dotted on there.

12. I don't have favorites. I love them all.

13. Twitch.

14. Between Aria and Magenta, I'd say they're equal in their own way. They were both kidnapped young and experimented on. Both managed to escape in young adult age. The difference is Magenta healed. Aria never did. She lived her life seeking vengeance and while she tried to love and move on, she had a lot of rage issues and tended to lash out a lot due to the trauma.

15. Yes. I really do. I don't mind discussing, explaining, answering questions and even going through various scenarios.

19. Zevina from Sonic verse. She had a little bit of everything that I enjoy and was a bit of a self insert. She didn't pair with anyone, didn't want anyone. She adopted two small kids as her siblings and cared for them. She was headstrong, independent and homeless. She just coasted through life and did whatever it took to protect her younger siblings. Zevina was my first and only Jack of All Trades and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was perfect and spunky and I'm SO MAD the Sonic verse was so TOXIC because I'll never play her again.

20. I am a theater kid. Almost all my OCs sing. Zevina's voice was based on the lead singer of Dorothy. Andromeda is based on Ekaterina Shelehova.

21. Aria liked to draw and paint.

22. Aria and Twitch. Aria was often mistaken for someone who is demure and weak. She's vicious... Twitch is often mistaken for a feral monster. He's just a feral toddler who wants friends.

23. Andromeda was the biggest change. She was actually meant to be the lead singer of a band at a strip club that goes out of business. Her and the band get sold to FazCo but she's the only one who got fixed up and becomes the new animatronic in charge of Bonnie Bowl which would have been renamed Striking Stars. She also was first designed to have hair like Roxy does but it was gonna be silver and flat and shoulder length.

24. Aria. So I could give her a hug and apologize.

25. Uh...Aria when she was human before she got mutated.

26. No. Never. I've never allowed someone to go 'I don't like that, change it.' I've said: You could scroll along and look away or you can block me. Ain't changing sh*t for anyone but for me.

27. Some of them were, actually. Andromeda was inspired by Loves Goes On and On by Amy Lee and Lindsey Sterling. Titan was inspired by So Cold by Breaking Benjamin. Aria was inspired by my Avenged Sevenfold playlist, especially Buried Alive. Magenta was inspired by Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin. Zevina was inspired by Geronimo by Sheppard. Twitch was inspired by Sandstorm.

28. Oof...Aria and Twitch are tied again. Aria for her anger and strength. Twitch because while he is a giant mutant child he's still a mutant and he CAN and HAS devoured people. Granted, they were bad people. But he's actually very lethal and unpredictable.

29. Titan.

30. Magenta. Saiyans don't need such things. They're warriors. But that's gonna stop her from collecting all of the food themed plushies and squirreling them away.

31. Out of all of them, Andromeda would definitely have a tumblr. She'd be taking a lot of nature pictures and posting them. She'd follow other nature based accounts and compliment each one she really liked and make a folder of saved photos. She'd also post a few pictures of the tree house with the twins running around in them. Andromeda would also take a lot of pictures of bugs and post videos of different spiders she'd find.

32. A tie between Titan and Magenta because they're the most level headed out of the bunch and won't freeze up under pressure. They'd be heavy into inventory and remembering where they came from not to mention actually paying attention to lore/information AND enemy patterns.

35. Zevina adopted Chusi-Chu as her sister.

36. Ahahaha yeah. Titan and Andromeda. Andromeda is dating Kill Code. Titan is a sad, strange metal man.

38. Andromeda (well she's programmed so...) Aria.

39. Well the ladies got introduced (even Twitch), so hiiii...this is Titaaaan... He's smart but he's got the emotional span of a teaspoon. He's very handy and is the Moon of his dimension. A security bot by night. Mechanic by day. He's very stoic and serious about his work. His emotional matrix needs some work. I hope he grows a bit. I think he could have been very sweet if he didn't prioritize work over building connections with others.

40. No. They're all spontaneous OCs that actually made it out alive of my headspace and into the real world. They're the lucky few.

41. A friend made a hand drawing of Magenta in high school. I still have it. My spouse made art of Aria and Zevina a few years ago :3 and my header is fanart! (The artist who made the header is tagged on my pinned!) So I have 4! And I cherish them SO SO SO MUCH! My serotonin 💕

42. Aria was into biology and history. Specifically marine biology and ancient history. She did this for fun to keep her mind busy and 'zen' to occupy her mind. Greek and Roman history were actually her favorite subjects.

43. Cute, feminine and lashes. But strong. Absolutely can curb stomp a bitch while looking pretty. Also the color purple. Magenta had...well... magenta-ish hair leaning to the purple-blue side. Zevina was an eggplant purple hedgehog. Aria had amethyst colored eyes. Andromeda has purple peppered on her frame. They all sing in some way. Aria and Andromeda dance. Magenta only hummed.

Titan and Twitch are tall AF.

44. While they have some similarities, they're each their own person in some way. They each hold a different part of me yet have taken a life of their own.

45. Callista (Zevina's other sister) she just kinda fell to the way side and never really took off. She was going to be a mage but I got side tracked by focusing on Zevina.

46. I was told I bullied Aria a lot. I mean. A LOT. And I look back on it and just get a thousand yard stare and think: Yeaaah.....I wouldn't change a thing.

47. Yes. Twitch. And I just had to ask. W H Y?!

48. ✨ Andromeda ✨

49. Aria. To cope with her stress, trauma and anger.

50. Aria: If I had the chance to switch my life and experiences with my younger sister, I'd go through this hell again. I'd rather go through it a thousand times if it meant keeping her safe. Master Splinter keeps telling me that: The challenges we face in this life can either mold us into a stronger being or break us into a creature of despair and anger. Healing takes time and energy. It's up to me to use that energy wisely.

Sometimes, it's hard to face my inner demons. I still have nightmares from being stuck in that underground cell...from all the experiments. The horrors I saw...

But then...I look at Master Splinter. At Leo. Don. Mikey. Maybe Raph... Heh. Maybe not just for my sister but for them -- I'd do it again.

I guess pain is a necessary evil and a part of life if you wanna get to the good stuff. (She is in love with Leonardo but will never speak on it because she knows she's not mentally capable yet and I was getting close to her breakthrough before she left the planet to stay with the Utroms/I stopped RPing TMNT)

Item: Paper Codes (Can be swapped, similar to Norton's magnets but it can only be used so many times before they get destroyed... Like Melly's net.)

Blue paper: When in use, it increases decoding by 2% every time the skill check hits a perfect. (So 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%, it stops at 10%.)

Red paper: When in use, increases movement speed by 5% per cipher machine's done. (Max is 10%, because 15% sounds too OP.)

Skill 2: Run in with the Law

Being used to running away from the law, vaulting speed is increased by 15% for 2/4/6(one of these numbers) seconds. (I would add something related to getting terrorshocked, but that's too OP, and Freddy already has that.)

Debuff: Walk it Off for Now

Healing speed and rescuing speed is slowed down by 15%.

🕸️: d&d character ask game: 1, 3, 9, 15, 22, 29, 25 and 38! i'm sorry if it's a lot, but i really do wanna know❣️

NO OMG IM SO EXCITED!! I'll be answering for Corian, my homebrew artificer from Kibblestasty's Inventor/Revised Artificer class, because he's the one I'm playing currently. Otherwise I have a long-term bard named Rhys who has many many different alternate selves who some of you may know from my other posts or rp videos.

✨ CORIAN'S DND ASKS ✨

What is your character’s morning routine?

I answered this one before so I'm going to copy and paste from the other one (forever ago!! it 's ok if you didn't know) because it hasn't changed much.

Corian is very messy and not a very consistent person, so his morning “routine” varies widely. When he manages to wake up early and is feeling like a morning person, he goes down to the bakery in his hometown, Leviathan, and grabs some pastries and coffee for breakfast. He might have classes to teach at the wizarding school or other important uhhh business in town don’t worry about it (he is/used to be a spy for an evil organization in-game shhh).

Most of the time though he just wakes up any time between 10am and 12pm, slaps himself in the face a little bit, downs some shitty instant coffee or any leftover alcohol and eats whatever breakfast he can scrounge together while he’s already working on gadgets for the day. Theoretically he reads the paper in this time too. That’s a very civil and professional thing to do, right? His mechanical familiar, Cogs, holds up whatever he’s reading and turns the pages for him if his hands are busy, or Corian uses his mechanical third arm he straps to his equipment to turn the pages himself and assist in the drinking coffee.

3. Do they eat breakfast? What’s they favorite?

I kinda answered this one with the morning routine post, but Corian has a pretty big sweeth tooth and loves going to the Leviathan bakery!! For any kind of pastries really but he got kind of a reputation in-game for bringing "apology donuts" to the party for 1. spying on them and 2. accidentally on purpose showing them the dildo room in his house.

So.. donuts??

But also any food that his mom used to cook for him. He really misses his family and anything she cooked was probably amazing bc she's one of Those Moms™️

9. How do they like their mornings? Rainy and chilly? Bright and sunny? Not at all because they don’t wake until noon?

Yeah Corian is a late riser so mostly up at noon when he has the luxury of it. (But he was also a middle school teacher at a magic school so...)

However he does like a good, quiet, rainy morning. Corian has an... interesting... relationship with the rain and thunderstorms. (His gun is powered on storm energy, and the gun as a.. loaded... backstory).

However he hasn't experienced a good non-sleety rain in a long time, because when he was "exiled" (for lack of a better word) to his current hometown, Leviathan, by the evil org he worked for, Leviathan is really far north and so it's always snowy. (I jokingly have called it dnd alaska). He's grown to love the snowy mornings too, as long as it's light snow and not like a blizzard or that horrible sleet shit.

15. Do they prefer warm days or cool ones?

I think Corian used to prefer warm days, but he's lived in Fantasy Alaska for so long he likes the cold now. He's made peace with it and decided he enjoys it. We'll see what happens when he gets back to a sunnier climate.

22. Do they like to share meals with their party?

YES. YES OH GOD YES. Corian LOVES getting to eat meals with his little found family because it reminds him of his huge family back home. (He's one of six siblings). One of our other party members, the rogue/monk name E'kayah, is an excellent cook and always making the nicest, cutest meals and Corian genuinely thinks it's so sweet. The other party member is also his current girlfriend (maybe too strong a term for either of them, but he still cares about her alot) so that's nice too.

25. What is their comfort item/habit?

TINKERING. Corian is an artificer and a big component of my particular subclass (Gadgetsmith) is that he's constantly coming up with new inventions. So in any downtime or when they're just sitting around chilling (and sometimes even at dinner) he just has stuff out and is tinkering. Corian has a mechanical familiar, Cogs, that's a tiny modrone that was a result of said tinkering, and he also has a Clockwork Amulet given to him by his father (also a clockmaker/artificer) that he always keeps close to him.

29. Do they use napkins when they eat?

Only if absolutely necessary.

38. Do they remember their dreams?

Yes. Corian has a really vivid imagination so he is constantly having bizarre dreams that he probably rants to the party about at breakfast. ("Lena I had a dream your hair was made of glue!") And some of these dreams have probably inspired inventions. Corian's also had his fair share of recurring nightmares due to things in his backstory, which were exacerbated during their stint in the Shadowfell, but they're out of the Shadowfell now so those should be getting better!!

Pt 2 - A Break In The Timeline

A timeline break occurs every time someone makes a decision to do something. Each outcome leading to more decisions that create a branching tree of everyone's life of the decisions that were made and the ones that would never be. Over the course of your life, you had made plenty of decisions to lead you to this point, but the one you would make today was of impact greater than you would know. You didn't really think much of your decision but it would change the path of your life. A few days ago, your parents had informed you that they were going to go out for the day to your father's business outing and that they would be back home later that night. It was the first time that they were considering leaving you home alone. You could tell your mom was nervous about leaving you by the way she kept asking if you were ready to stay home without them and if you wanted to come along with them.

"You know, all your dad's co-workers always enjoy having you around. Your dad even mentioned that Cheryl was bringing her famous chocolate chip cookies that you love so much." Your mom commented

"As tempting as those cookies sound, you can just bring some home. I'm 12 years old, I think I can manage myself for a day, Mom." You remark

"Oh I know but you're my little baby and I just can't stand how you're growing up so fast. It seems like just yesterday I was holding you in my arms rocking you to sleep." Your mother replies holding you tightly in her arms

Walking down the stairs into the living room you can see your dad tying his tie as he approaches the two of you. Finishing his tie, he places a reassuring hand on your mother's shoulder and gives her a comforting smile as he comments,

"I think our little anomaly can handle herself. How else will she learn some independence, we can't keep her small forever."

"Well she will forever be my baby no matter how much she grows," your mom replies

"I know my love, but we can't keep debating this. We need to get going if we're going to make it there on time. Traffic in this city is such a pain." He explains

Your mom lets out a small huff before relenting,

"Oh alright, but I will miss her immensely."

Your Dad lets out a small chuckle at your mother's affection. He loved her and the way she loved you. Crouching down to your level he places a hand on your shoulder as he says,

"We're leaving you home today, which is a big responsibility. My cell phone and your mom's cell phone numbers are on the fridge. If there is an emergency call 911 and if you use your powers please don't accidentally destroy the house."

"I promise I'll be responsible!" You reply

Your dad ruffles your hair playfully before standing back up. Taking your mom's hand in his he walks the two of them over to the door. As they turn to look back at you once more, you can't help but run over and give them both a hug before they leave. The two of them lovingly hug you back before opening the door and starting to head out. Right as your mom is walking out the door she turns back to you once more and requests,

"While you're home, promise me you'll remember the third rule"

"I will." You answer

You wave goodbye with a smile on your face waiting for the door to shut before running over to the window to watch your parents drive away in the family car. You promised your mom that you would remember the rule but you never promised her to follow the rule. You sat in your living room looking out the window for what felt like an hour planning what you would do to satiate your curiosity and also to make sure that your parents didn't come back unannounced. When you finally felt that the coast was clear you started putting your plan into place. Getting off the couch in your living room you left your house, closed the front door, and made the quick but daunting walk across the street. You stood outside the gate of the house you lived across from, the huge building loomed over you and you began to wonder if the need to ease your curiosity was worth it. No, you had made this decision and you were going to stick to it. It was just one visit. You would see what was up and then you would leave never to return. Once you had built up your confidence enough and felt that the street was clear you used your power to walk through the locked gates. You assumed no one had seen you since when you looked left and right the street was empty, but there was one thing you forgot to do though. You forgot to look up.

The house you were forbidden from going to was the residence of eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves. But he did not live alone as his manor also housed that of the seven Hargreeves children. For the children, their days were like clockwork. Always on a set schedule, always doing the same things, rarely ever catching a break, little to no fun. At this time of day, the siblings had finished their training and were now solitary in their rooms. They were not allowed to have fun but for one of the Hargreeves children, this was the best part of his day.

Five enjoyed being able to get away from his family, specifically his father. Every day was the same thing, just a gray, uneventful existence. But when he was in his room alone, for those few moments he could get away from the man. He tried his best to forget the rest of the day but even so, he could hear that calloused voice in his head criticizing,

"Pathetic, your powers aren't ready yet! They aren't developed where they should be! They're not good enough, you need to work harder."

Five hated his father and he hated the repetition of each and every day, but when he was alone in his room he could do what he wanted. Sitting on his window sill he looked down at the street below him. He looked at all the people walking around, getting to be free, and do what they want rather than what they are told. Granted, he and his siblings would sneak out and go to the donut place not too far from here, but he was still with his siblings. He wanted to meet people outside of his family. He started to worry that if he didn't he might end up like his brother Luther.

He liked looking at the people on the street. Some people he would see once and then never again. Others he would see all the time. You were not an exception. He would see you and your parents all the time when you were entering and leaving your house. The three of you seemed to be really happy together. He wondered what it was like to be in a happy family. Every now and then if he peeked through his curtains he could see across the street into your bedroom window and see you dancing, or playing with toys, or working at your desk. He thought about what life might be like for you, a normal kid with a normal family and a normal life.

And as he sat on his window sill looking out at the world he longed to be a part of, he saw you the girl who lived across the way, leave your house, cross the street and stand outside the gates of his home. Curious, he watched intently as you looked up at the building. Could you see him from where you were standing? What were you thinking at that moment? He watched as you looked from the building to gaze upon the locked gates in front of you. Were they locked to keep people like you out or to keep him and the others in? He watched as you placed your hand on the metal of the gate. You would probably just try to push and pull on them before giving up and moving on to whatever else you got to do in your life. But in a matter of seconds, you went from the outside the gate to the inside. He blinked his eyes in shock and confusion. Did he really just see what he thought he saw? He rubbed his eyes trying to clear them but when he opened them back up you were gone. He wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him. Maybe he was finally losing his mind in this solitary confinement. Maybe he just needed some fresh air. Deciding that some air would help, Five left his room and made himself a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich before heading outside to the courtyard.

Unbeknownst to Five, his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. You had entered the premises using your powers. It took a while to figure out what your powers were, as it seemed like it was a whole bunch. When your parents saw them they guessed anything from invisibility to sound powers, teleportation to telekinesis, from A to Z your parents tried to comprehend what in the world your abilities were. After some more years and more practice with your powers, you finally figured out what you could do. You had the ability to manipulate molecules, both of your own body and of that of other objects in the world. You were able to change your own molecules so that they would become transparent, you could break yourself apart and reassemble yourself somewhere else, You were able to move through different objects by playing with your molecules and that of the object. You were able to do those things and so much more, but you needed to practice it as it was difficult to do any of the things if you weren't concentrating on it.

After phasing through the gate of the building you focused on making your molecules transparent so no one would see you. If this place was as dangerous as your parents made it out to be, you had to stay hidden. Quietly you worked your way around the outside of the house looking for any sign of life. Any sign of something. As you continued around you managed to find yourself in a courtyard. As you stepped further into it you watched as a young boy about your age with dark hair sat on a bench of sorts with a sandwich in his hand. He looked so sad. Why would your parents have an issue with a child? You stood frozen and watched as he was about to take a bite out of it when another boy standing in a doorway shouted,

"OOOOH SOMEONE IS OUT OF HIS ROOM! I'M GONNA TELL DAD!"

The boy on the bench threw his sandwich down on his plate and replied,

"You're out of your room too!"

You saw as the boy in the doorway started to run away and the sandwich boy ran inside the door after him. Even with all the commotion, you continued to focus on your molecules. Walking further into the courtyard you approached the sandwich on the bench and took a look at it. It was nothing out of the ordinary. Just peanut butter and marshmallow. As you stared at the abandoned sandwich, your stomach growled and you started contemplating eating the sandwich before you. No, if you did someone would realize you were there. Although maybe they would think it was a bird. You go back and forth for a bit debating whether you were going to be a thief or not but before you could make a decision you felt a hand on your back push you forward. Tripping over the bench you fell to the ground and when you turned around to see what has shoved you you saw the sandwich boy looking at you in shock. You lock eyes with the boy and before you think of anything else you exclaim,

"Hey what was that for!"

Five didn't reply though, he just continued to look at you speechless. There you were. The girl from across the street, at his house, right in front of him. His mind raced with questions. How did you get inside the locked gate? How could he not see you? What were you even doing here?

You stood silently waiting for an explanation from the boy but as he continued to look at you confused you finally realized something huge. You lost focus on your molecules. You weren't invisible anymore. You froze in fear. This was not how your spy mission was supposed to go. As you waiting for your mind to catch up you saw the boy shakes his head slightly before trying to question,

“H-how...How did you-"

Before he could even finish his question you were already up and racing past him trying to get back out the gate. It took Five a moment to process what was happening but when he did he immediately chased after you frantically calling out,

"WAIT!"

You looked back to where his voice came from but didn't see him behind you but when you turned your head back straight you saw the boy standing in front of you with his hands out trying to stop you. Your eyes went wide as you tried to slow down but it was too late. Crashing into him you both lost your balance, falling to the ground.

After a few moments, Five got up from the ground and dusted himself off before extending his hand out to you. You looked between him and his hand suspiciously. If he was dangerous why was he helping you up? Reluctantly you took his hand as he helped you to your feet. You dust yourself off as well before looking back towards the courtyard and then back at him.

"How about you appear a little close next time, huh?" You comment

"Uh, sorry." He replies before asking "How did I not see you when I went to grab my sandwich?" he asks

The two of you stared at each other quietly. Neither one saying a word. You weren't getting out of this one, were you? Trying to answer him without giving too much away you vaguely reply,

"Um, I can...do things."

Five nods his head averting his gaze. He had no clue what to do in this situation. He had never interacted with someone outside of the academy before. This was uncharted territory and he was very much floundering.

"So how did you get in front of me so fast?" You question back

"Oh, I can do things too," he replies

"Uh okay." You reply uncomfortably "Cool."

This was awkward. It's like this kid had never talked to anyone in his life before. Trying your best to get out of this odd scenario you added,

"Alright well this has been fun but I'm leaving."

Quickly, you start to make your way past him so you can get back home and forget this ever happened, but as you do so the boy grabs your wrist exclaiming,

"Wait."

You turn around to look at him, your face filled with confusion. What could he want? Not even Five knew the answer to that question though. He had no clue what he was doing, he just knew that he didn't want you to leave just yet. This was new and odd and somewhat exciting. An outsider was here with him. Not just any outsider either, you were the girl from across the street. He saw as you looked at him waiting for some type of explanation and managed to stumble out,

"Can I at least know the name of the girl who lives across the street?"

Your head tilted to the side as you scrunched your eyebrows in confusion.

"How do you know I live across the street?" You questioned

"I can see you from my bedroom window." Five explains

This kid was weird, but it was starting to become more interesting than concerning. You wondered what his life was like to make him like this but you weren't going to ask that yet. Thinking for a moment about his request you finally respond,

Fine, as long as you tell me your name too."

"I'm Five." He states

"You look older than that." You reply back

"No, that's my name." He explains

"Your name is a number?" You ask confused

"Yes." He responds unbothered

"Oh." You say "Well, I'm (Y/N),"

Five lets go of your wrist and extends his hand out to you once more, this time for you to shake it. You hesitate for a moment but you were already in too deep so it didn't matter much at this point. Extending your hand back you take his hand in yours and formally shake it. Finishing the handshake you let go and start to take a step away when Five calls out,

"Can we do this again sometime?"

You pause in your tracks and turn your head to look back at him. With a smirk forming on your face you reply,

"Perhaps. Although I hope it'll be more than an awkward conversation next time."

Five gives you a smile and nods his head eagerly. You said next time. He would get to talk to an outsider again. Giving Five a smile and a wave you turn away and without another word, you phase yourself back through the gates and disappear back towards your house. Standing in place, Five continues to smile to himself before throwing his hands in his pocket and turning back to the courtyard and his sandwich. There was something odd about you, and you might not be as normal as he first expected but he liked that and was still eager to get to know you more.

Quickly, you arrived back home across the street and immediately head inside before plopping yourself down on the couch. You thought this little trek would've been enough to ease your curiosity but now you wanted to know more. And know more you would, because this encounter was just the beginning of the many to come.

Chapter 7 - Autumn Coat

It's been a few months since you started to work as a caretaker, nothing grand happened, but the times you left for your break once every 14 days, you always come back to a crying Keigo, and a missing mother.

The last time he wrecked the house, there was glass on the floor, footprints on the ceiling, walls painted with... wine? jelly? blood? You don't know, but it was hell to clean, which of course you made lil birb help too.

By questioning him after cleaning everything and then cleaning him, you discovered that his "mother" gave him coffee, and A LOT of it, and went her merry way to meet with someone.

To say that you were pissed was a mistake, you were furious, but the commission didn't let you reprehend her, so you had to teach him to not eat and drink something that his mother gave to him, without knowing what it was, and that if he drank coffee he would stop growing, which made him cry, but you promised a day outside with him, where they would eat out, maybe go to a mall, and he could have anything that he wanted.

It was his first time going out to have fun, instead of just going to the gym, or the doctor appointment, so with the 'okay card' from your boss you took him for a stroll, which is why there is a very excited Keigo jumping on your bed at 6am.

"COME. OOOOON!!! WE STILL HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY AHEAD OF US!" he shouted while jumping up and down on your bed, his wings flapping behind him.

"Hun, what time it is?" you yawned and sat on the bed.

"It's 6AM! On a Monday!!!"

"I wish you would be this easy to wake up every day, it would make my mornings easier" you huff and got up. "Go wash your face, I will get changed and come to help you change yourself."

"I don't need help! I'm a big boy! I can change myself!" he pouted and crossed his arms.

You smiled at him, seeing how much he opened up to you in comparison to the first day, when he would tremble form how scared he was, and how he talked so little. "I know you can, but you need to put warmer clothes than normal, and it would be better if you didn't pick that awful t-shirt again"

"The one that his written 'Daddy's little boy' with the Endevour's face?" he tilted his head a little.

"Exactly, that one! Now go, we will eat breakfast outside today."

"Woo-hoo!" he raised both hands and was about to jump down to the floor when you held him back and fills his face with kisses "Let me go mommy!" he giggles a lot, and you keep doing it until you decide to release him.

"THE FLOOR IS LAVA!!" You shout and jumps up "If you aren't on your bedroom in 15 seconds the world is going to END!" You say dramatically and open's the door to the laundry room "1... 2... 3... aaaaaand... he's gone" as soon as you opened the door and started the countdown he flew off your small home to his room.

After fixing your bed and washing your face, you went to get changed and choose something comfy, some black jeans, a long sleeved red shirt, a black purse and your favorite beige coat that had white fur on it.

You went to his room to get him ready when you were surprised by the scene, him, Keigo, your baby birb, the cute little shit that was getting more confident with each training, that had the most beautiful smile you had ever seen.

On the floor, curled up in a ball, with a few drops of blood on the ground of the floor, and his mother with her hand in the air, like she was about to hit him...

The world was turning slowly, almost stopping, after three movements of your finger, the one that the nail was always painted black, the dame that had cut the wall.

As the world was moving slowly, you were moving like normal.

5... you calmly walked to Keigo

4... you took him on your arms

3... you put him on the bed

2... you took the pillow case from the pillow

1... you tied both of the hands of Keigo's mother.

The world was back to normal, and Keigo blinked looking at what was now his mother on the ground and you on top of her mobilizing her, while he was no longer on the floor, but on his new fluffy bed that you picked for him "so quick..." he mumbles and look at you with admiration.

You took your phone from your purse, and sat on top of her back "Hello? You saw from the cameras, didn't you? Yeah... I think she needs a few days of vacation... about a week? Okay I let her on the couch then? Thank you, good bye" you turn off the cellphone and look at Keigo who was mouth agape looking at you with shiny eyes. "Let's go?" You smile and pick him up.

"YOU WERE SO AWESOME!!! And didn't you told me to change my clothes?" He hugged your neck

"We can just buy it on the mall but... outside is really cold..." you put him back on the bed and took off your coat "here, I'll lend you my favorite coat, please take good care of it"

He sniffs the coat and is meet by the soft smell of lavender and sweetened coffee.

He looks at you with shiny eyes, "okay!"

You pick him up again and hold his mother's ankle while you drag her to the living room. "Tomorrow is your trainer's day off, so today you can sleep later"

"Woo-hoo!!"

You chuckle and let the woman on the couch, then you go out with him.

"Let's have breakfast and then go out and about"

You carried him to the car, and there you put him on the backseat and when you were going to buckle him up he stopped you.

"Let me do it! I'm a big boy" you nod and watch as he struggles, but after some time does it.

"Good job" you kiss his forehead and goes to the front seat.

As you drive around you put some kids pop, which he sang along to the Disney songs from the movies you showed him.

As you stop at a café that you liked, "Let's go?" He unbuckles himself, and you open the door to him, picking him up again

"I can walk!"

"Not with that bare feet of yours" you tickle his feet which makes him squirm and giggle.

Walking in you take a sit and sat Keigo beside you. "You can get anything, ask away" you took the menu and give it to him "since you learn how to read better I'm sure you can pick what you want"

"Okay!..." he spends 20 minutes choosing his food, which ended up being a chicken breast sandwich and a soda, you immediately told him no soda in the morning.

"How about some juice?" You offer

"What are you going to drink?" Keigo tilts his head to the side.

"I want to go out and by sweetened coffee from the vending machine, it's my favorite, and no you can't have some"

He giggles and nods "I want strawberry juice!"

"I'm gonna go order it to the cashier, two chicken sandwiches and a strawberry juice"

"Can I pick a dessert?"

"After you eat everything, sure, here play a game on my phone while you wait, I'll be right back" you give him your phone unlocked and go to the cashier.

Keigo is playing on your cellphone when someone approaches him, his little trained feathers don't recognize this person's vibrations, so he looks up and sees a dude with a scary look and long black hair.

They both just stare at each other "sup" Keigo say and discreetly send a feather to you and taps your feet.

You come back to the table and is surprised to see your oldest friend, you give him a big smile "Shouta-niisan!" You hug him, but he only pats your head.

Keigo looks surprised at the interaction, you don't talk about yourself, only the basic and vaguely gives information about what you did before him.

"Is this your kid?" The man looked at Keigo, the man looked like it was around 23 maybe 25.

"Yeah! I'm his-... mom, yeah! I'm his mother" you smile breaking the hug and sat down "too busy to stay?"

He nods and put a can of your favorite sweetened coffee in front of you "You're doing a good job, just be careful, you never know"

You nod back at him and give him a big smile "I will, at least I'm no longer doing patrols, don't forget to call me once a week"

"I never broke a promise, won't start now" he pets your hair and goes away.

Keigo watched the weird transactions extremely curious "Who was him? Is him your older brother? You don't look alike. Why didn't you say goodbye to him? Why does he look like a bun? Why-"

"Enough!" You put your hand on his mouth "He's an old friend, I call him nii-san because I always called him that, no we aren't blood related, he always looked like that, and... we promise to never say goodbye to each other"

"Why?"

"Because a goodbye can be forever, so we just don't say it" a waitress comes to you both and puts everything on the table.

You open the canned coffee and drink it, smiling at him as he eats, you both eat and then went shopping.

...

Keigo could fit in anything, and he would look cute you just loved the way he looked on yellow or beige, they fit well with his red wings.

"Hey mom... I wanted to know if-..." he was scared, uncomfortable maybe? About something.

"You can ask me anything Birb, there is no way that I will not answer" you kneeled on the floor besides him and looked at him through the mirror.

"What's your quirk?" He looked at you while fiddling with his hands.

You smiled at him "It's kinda hard to explain, It's better if I show it to you" you took his hand and paid for the clothing, now that he was with some clothes that were good for the Autumn cold weather.

After getting to the car you drove off to the training gym.

"Why are we here?" Keigo recognized the building quickly.

"My power can be a little destructive, its1better to do this in a place that no one can get hurt" going in you went to your private training room with the little boy following you like a baby duck.

"How destructive?" Keigo held your hand and you held his.

"Very, now stay back" you pressed a bottom on the wall "My quirk needs ink all the time to do anything, and I always have it around me, most likely on my point finger, here I can do almost anything" you made a straight line in the direction of the dummies and cut 3 at the same time, cutting through them.

"Woaaah! What else?" Keigo's wings fluffed up at your awesomeness.

You walk to the middle and make a dot next to him, a huge tree appears from nothing surprising him, he falls to the floor shocked.

"I can also make a path of flowers, and the tree will only stay there for a few seconds, but it can surprise the enemy enough to take them down" you move your finger around under Keigo's feet and there grows some flowers.

"My ability is called Celestial Brush"

"THIS IS SO COOL!" He runs to you, and you pick him up when he's close enough. "MOM YOU ARE AWESOME!"

You look at him surprised and hug him tightly "My son, you are awesome too"

You two stay like that for some time, until he bugs you to show more of your ability, which you do, you show him each trick and technique you learned until now.

After showing him everything you picked him up and you both go back home to take a shower, eat and sleep.

Those moments in his life were the happiest that Keigo had ever been, always protected by you, he was given the love and affection that he always wanted, he didn't care for everything else, he just cared about you, because you were his true mother, the woman that he would run to when he got himself hurt, to ask about life, to ask about anything really, since you also were his teacher. When he had nightmares you would hold him until he calmed down, would kiss his head, would compliment the small things he had done, and would scout him when he did something wrong.

Keigo loved you more than anything in his life, and Hawks miss you dearly in his, because in the end, you still worked for the commission, and he too didn't have a choice when you went away for an important mission.

The day before your departure you both made a pillow nest in the living room, you induced him on his bird instincts, HD wouldn't have such luxury after you went away.

Neither of you talked about you leaving, instead you showed him your favorite movies, snacks and old latin folktales, the feeling of sadness was there the whole moment.

You tried to give as much advice you could, and only took him off your arms to use the bathroom.

Keigo also didn't wanted to let go of you, both sleep hugging each other, you promised that you would come back as soon as you could, that tou would ever forgive him if he died while being a hero, that you knew he was build for greatness.

Only when you had to leave that you allowed yourself to cry, at the door with only a backpack in hands, you put your coat on Keigo while he sleep, also letting your diary on his bed, to let him have you all the time.

After tucking him on his nest, you kissed his forehead and kisses his toy's head, going out of that house took a lot of strength, you didn't wanted to go, but duty called, you just hopped it would take less then a year.

But it didn't took a year, it took 18 years to take the ring leader down, and just now you were finally going back to Japan, and to the now number 2 pro hero Hawks.
