Imagine Joel eating you out while you are playing videogames...
"He's so handsome", Joel heard you say while he groggily woke up from his post-lunch nap. His old bones were tired from a long week of hard work so the two of you decided to stay at home this Saturday and relax. Much to his disappointment, he quickly realized you were not saying that about him but about your favorite fictional cowboy, Arthur Morgan.
You had been obsessed with Read Dead Redemption 2 for the past few weeks, trying to play whenever you can. "It's a great story", you had told Joel. Of course it had nothing to do with seeing Arthur take a bath or hearing him call his horse a "good girl". It was just a really, really good story. And today, while your hunk of a husband was napping, your hunk of a fictional boyfriend was keeping you company.
"Did you have a good nap, love?", you asked as you felt him stir next to you on the couch, your eyes were still glued to the TV.
"Yes, I feel well res-" he stopped mid-sentence to take a better look at the screen. "Are you bathing him again?"
"Yeah, he had a long day scaping from the law. He was very stinky" was your very nonchalant answer.
"I bet he was", he mumbled while sitting up.
"One more mission and I'll turn it off".
He takes one quick nap— it was two hours —and now this other guy has your undivided attention? Oh, he has to fix that.
"Don't mind me. I can keep busy".
Next thing you know, he's kneeling in front of you and slotting himself in between your legs.
"Joel, what are you doing?"
"Finish your mission, baby. I told you I can keep busy", he said as he pulled your shorts and panties to the side.
—————————————
This is totally not inspired by me playing RDR2 and No return (TLOU 2) in the past couple of weeks 🤭 I love my senior citizens 🩷
Also this is what Joel would see on the TV 🤭

When you remove their arms from hugging you
Genre: Fluff
pairing: bf!Hyung Line x reader
A/N: it has been a looong time since i've written my last headcanon
Requests are open!!! request here
masterlist
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
HEESEUNG
he'd stare at you for a long time
"what's wrong?" with his bambi eyes. "what do you mean hee?"
you were doing your homework so you didn't even notice you swatted his hands away. he shrugs and walks away from you.
you're left there sitting and you're like ?????
you eventually follow him to the room and see him sitting on the bed, arms crossed and staring blankly at the floor.
"hee? what are you doing?"
"i'm sorry." he says standing up and grabbing both your hands. he gives each a peck.
"what are you sorry for? what's happening?" you're honestly very confused.
"i don't know, but whatever it is that made you upset, i'm sorry." he says. you're still so confused making you tilt your head.
"what do you mean upset? i'm not upset"
"i was about to hug you earlier but you swatted my arms away."
UGH ADORBS ISTG
you laugh and hug him very tightly
"noooo. i don't know why i did that hee, i'm sorry. i loooove your hugs." he hugs you back and kisses your temple.
"i love you."
JAY
school was being a bitch on your supposed to be date day with your boyfriend. you were supposed to go out and be romantic but your prof suddenly posted your early finals since he had to leave for a few weeks.
you were seriously in a bad mood and stressed out since it was a final test.
your bf on the other hand witnessed your tantrums constantly just eyeing your every move. he slowly approaches you deciding to give you some comfort and support by giving you a sweet wrap but finishes disappointed when you swat his arms away before it could even touch you.
ofc the understanding person that he is, backs away from you and gives you time. "i'll be in the living room y/n"
it takes you a couple of minutes to realize what you have done and you quickly go to him.
you stand in front of him who is seated, watching the tv. he looks at you confused.
you feel guilty rejecting his affection earlier so you pay what you owe.
you sit on his lap giving him multiple kisses everywhere on his face, wrapping your arms around his neck tightly giving him a tight hug.
he quickly understands what you're doing so he hugs you back. "it's okay y/n. i'll be here."
JAKE
one word. pouty
you were baking cookies for thanksgiving and of course your guy just had to hug you from behind. it was fine until you couldn't move properly from the fella clinging unto you. you remove his arms from your waist and continued to do your work.
"why'd you do that?"
you turn around to face him and awwwww HE POUTS LIKE CRAZY
you almost jump on him, swaying him around with a hug.
"i'm sorry love, i couldn't move around." you said pulling away from the hug. when you looked at his face, the pout was still there.
"not good?" you ask him, fixing the hair blocking his eyes. he shakes his head and crosses his arms.
you sigh and remove your apron. HE'S SUCH A SULKY BABY.
you grab his arms and lead him to the sofa. he giggles on the way to the sofa, knowing what's about to happen. "yay" he celebrates quietly.
"you're such a babygirl" you say wrapping your legs around him.
he cuddles deep into you and giggles once more.
SUNGHOON
having a relationship with sunghoon means getting teased every single time you do something. don't get me wrong, he loves you but what he loves most about you is your reaction whenever he teases you.
"you like my hair down? you're such a softie." he says, nudging you.
you roll your eyes crossing your arms. "i take it back, it looks bad."
he chuckles before pulling your arms. "oh c'mon, don't get upset. just admit it, you're soft for me." he tries to uncross your arms, pulling you in for a hug but you pull your arms away from his grip aggressively, letting out a scoff, crossing your arms once more.
he tries to hug your side but you nudge your shoulders refraining him from doing so.
it suddenly gets quiet so you look at him wondering why he stopped chirping. you see him staring at you, brows furrowed with a slight pout on his lips.
his hands slowly slides up and down on your arm still looking at you. "are you mad?" he carefully asks.
you don't answer and just continued looking at him, curious on where this leads to.
he attempts to hug you once more very slowly, afraid you'll reject it again. but you stay still letting him do whatever he wants.
he places his chin on your shoulder rubbing your back gently. "i love you."
"who's the softie now?"

"Ultimatum" - Zoro x Reader
prompt sent in by the wonderful @maybe-a-bi-witch | Enjoying my work? You can leave me a tip on Ko-Fi | Have a request?
When you were a child, your parents took you to a circus. Among clowns, lions and contortionists, the one thing that stuck in your mind was a tightrope artist. She danced and tumbled 40 feet above the ground, a smile on her face. When she flew in the air, you kept wondering whether this time she would fall but your fear never came true - she didn't lose her footing, didn't lose her balance even once.
You find yourself thinking about the circus artist more often lately as you keep questioning your relationship with Zoro. On one hand, there are the lingering touches, stolen kisses and words filled with undeniable desire. But there's also his coldness and distance, the unwillingness to speak about his feelings. Whenever you're about to give up and cut your losses, accept that your little maybe-romance is purely opportunistic, Zoro pulls you right back in with seemingly no effort. He has you wrapped around his finger, no sense in denying that.
And just like that girl 40 feet in the air, you're also walking the tightrope. But contrary to the performer, you're not sure you can do it as skillfully as she did. As days turned into weeks and your relationship with the swordsman only became more confusing, you felt yourself losing balance. It feels like soon enough you'll be falling off the tightrope. And a 40-foot drop is enough to break, whether it's a bone or a heart.
The night fits your mood: cold, rain hanging in the air, wind tugging and nipping at exposed skin. The ocean and sky are in turmoil, giving you a sense of comfort - tonight, it's not only you who's fighting against themself. Does the sea also question her relationship with the shore? Does she also wonder if their fleeting, chaste kisses as waves wash the sandy beach are something more than opportunistic tenderness?
Your heart is beating out of your chest as you knock on the door to Zoro's bedroom. Shortly after, a welcoming grunt resounds on the other side.
The swordsman is lying in a hammock, staring at the ceiling above. With one hand underneath his head, he looks really comfortable. He bends his neck slightly to look at you but doesn't get up for now.
"I'm done, Zoro," you spit out a little faster than you planned. There's no point in pretending that you're not about to choke on your emotions.
The tightrope artist tumbles on the highwire.
He furrows his eyebrows. "With what?"
"With whatever it is we've got going on." It feels like a dam has broken and you find yourself unable to control the flood of words coming out of your mouth. Tears sting your eyes. "You clearly don't want anything serious and I've grown into accepting that I can't change your mind. I also can't just wait around to see if you maybe decide to settle for a relationship. I love you, Zoro, but I have too much self-respect to let myself remain just a convenience to you."
Only when you finish your monologue do you realize you're crying. Weeks of pent-up emotions, anxiety and pure, unrequited adoration you hold for that man have burst inside your chest. The sense of relief you're suddenly feeling is something of a silver lining.
She loses her balance. The audience falls silent.
But Zoro doesn't share your emotional turmoil. He returns to staring at the fascinatingly bland ceiling. "Fine, I'll do it. I'll be your boyfriend," he says in a disinterested voice.
Only static fills your mind. "What?" A question escapes you as you try to make sense of his words. "Zoro, you-"
"That's what you want, isn't it?" he cuts you off. Suddenly he sits up, legs hanging over the side of the hammock. The movement makes the cot swing slightly.
You stare at his face in search of the truth that hides behind his words. Does he really think superficially succumbing to you will fix everything? Or maybe there's something else on his mind - maybe he just doesn't care what you call him.
"What I want is something authentic, not just a fling to pass the time because we're both lonely," you continue. "I have feelings for you and I can't keep pretending that I'm casual about this," you point between him and you, "thing."
The performer waves her hands around, desperately trying to find her footing.
Zoro gets up from the hammock. In a few strides, he finds himself in front of you, closer than within an arm's reach. "You're not a fling," he says decisively. You almost believe him.
A bitter laugh escapes your lips. "I'm not a relationship either, it seems."
He lets out an exasperated sigh. This conversation is tiring him. Maybe you're tiring him.
Zoro's dark eyes are drilling into yours. You can't help but think that he's holding back from something.
"I don't care what you name it." His voice is stern. Suddenly, the air is too thick to breathe comfortably. "All I want is you. I'll do whatever it takes. If that means being a 'boyfriend'," the mocking tone is obvious, "then so be it. I'll gladly be your boyfriend."
Truthfully, you didn't know what you were expecting when you decided to confess your feelings to Zoro but it definitely wasn't this. Then, your previous anxiety blossoms into something unbearably sweet and tender. He doesn't care what you have as long as it's with you.
"Are you serious?" you whisper. This reality seems almost too good to be true.
"Dead," he murmurs back.
Zoro presses his lips against yours. The kiss is slow and heartfelt, unlike the kisses you're used to sharing with him. Strong, desperate hands grab at your waist and hips, forcing you to follow him as Zoro walks backwards. With a creak and a thud, the two of you fall on the hammock.
The crowd cheers loudly. The dancer has regained her balance and continues the routine with even more grace and glamour in her movements.

Wip whenever
Tagged by @mareenavee, @gilgamish, @kookaburra1701, @rainpebble3. I'll get to reading all of your posts shortly <3 This week I finished a render which is here. I also started two more renders and started some more writing.
Art.
First we have Dwifi, which I started a while ago and have more progress.
I still love that his hair is up...idk XD Secondly, I wanted to start painting a 4th Era Josh...and this one I quite liked.
I can't wait to get to the scarification, it's an important edition between how he appears in 4E199 vs the above image (and pretty much all his renders since March) which is 3E 427. Writing under the cut-
Writing Oh look it corresponds directly with this snippet... I plan on this being a 4 chapter mini fic that covers Unearthered. Yes, I wish to write a zombie horror fic for spooky season, go me.
Sydari rested her chin in her hand and grinned. She’d only known the merc for a short time and she was starting to get used to his tells. He was nervous about asking her something like this. Teldryn Sero was no expert thief. Though he’d mentioned that he had dabbled in smuggling from time to time back on the mainland. He hadn’t detailed much. Teldryn never did, but she knew he was at least familiar with how this sort of thing worked. Yet he fiddled with the scarf that he wore around his neck as if he’d never so much as considered such a thing. It was sweet in a way. She decided she’d entertain his idea tonight. It might be fun.
“Teldryn Sero, are you suggesting we undercut this guy and smuggle artifacts through my networks?” She crossed her legs and leaned back in her seat. Sydari tilted her head, resting it in her hand again.
Teldryn nodded. His expression turning slightly grim, “Something like that.”
Sydari frowned, sitting up a little straighter in her seat. Something was wrong, “Teldryn what’s this about?”
Teldryn drummed his pigment-stained fingers on the table, “It’s-” He paused, Sydari could see that he was chewing on his lip again, considering his next words carefully, “It’s this place,” Teldryn gestured lightly around the dimly lit room, “We’re operating at such a loss that,” He paused again, sinking even further into his seat. If that was possible.
Teldryn lowered his voice, “I’m worried that if things keep going like this,” He paused again and started fiddling with the ring on his left index finger. Something he always did when he was overthinking something. He winced, having probably upset his barely healed fingers. He’d told her he’d shattered them in a door the day their paths crossed for a second time. Teldryn opened and closed his hand several times before he spoke again.
“I haven’t had to worry about this sort of thing,” he rubbed the back of his neck, pulling some of the hair that trailed down his neck over his shoulder, “It’s been a while since I’ve had to think about this kind of thing. But,” He shook his head, “I’m worried Miluth.”
Sydari reached across the table for his hand and squeezed it slightly. The sharp edges of the ring he always wore dug into the skin of her palm. Teldryn’s expression softened as he looked back at her, exhaling slowly.
“I wish you’d let me help, or at least pay for my room,” Sydari offered.
“I told you already. I can’t ask you to do that,” Teldryn removed his hand from hers, “I can’t ask that of you.”
Sydari sat back in her seat again. Stubborn fool that he was. Deep down she knew this was his way of asking her for help. He was saving face, trying to frame the question in a way that she’d benefit. As if helping him wasn’t something she’d been doing since she first landed on this barren, frozen ash rock. Or maybe it was because of that.
Teldryn was right. Sydari had maintained to her colleagues in Riften that her extended stay in Raven Rock was due to her trying to extend the guild’s reach throughout their former range. Fix Mercer’s mistakes. It wasn’t. Not really. Things had gotten far more complicated than that. Though she wasn’t ready to acknowledge it herself yet. She couldn’t define what any of this was. Still…regardless of the reasons why she had chosen to stay put, Sydari figured she better start having something to show for her so-called efforts. And besides, Glover had been pestering her to send old Delvin an update so that he’d stop bugging him. She figured she could at least see what this “investment opportunity” was all about.
It would make Teldryn feel better at least.
Sydari sighed, “I guess it couldn’t hurt to go ask this guy about it, see what it’s all about.”
Teldryn looked up at her and grinned, his past distress slipping away as quickly as it had appeared.
“Sorry, I didn’t catch that, what were we doing?” He raised his hand to his left earlobe and pulled on in. Sydari shook her head, she knew where this was going.
“Teldryn!” She giggled, “Teldryn I know you heard what I said.”
He shook his head, “No I missed it, please, I’m all ear,” he laughed at his own joke. It was contagious, setting Sydari into a fit of laughter herself. Though one day she’d have to tell him. His joke wasn’t really that funny.
“We’ll talk to the fetcher in the morning. Yeah?” He sat back in his seat and tilted his head to the side again, awaiting her reply. She copied his motion, the movement unintentional.
“Fine Sero, you win. We’ll see this Dunmer in the morning.”

Pairing: Len Kagamine X afab!Reader
Synopsis: After school, MC decided to compete with a certain blonde-haired boy in a running contest.
Word Count: 882
The bell rang, it was already the end of school hours. All students of the Vocaloid Academy fixed their things before exiting their respective rooms. "Hey, Len. Wanna compete with me in running?" A certain [h/l] [h/c]-haired girl asked the banana lover Kagamine.
Len looked up from his bag and then to her, pink dust appeared on his cheeks after seeing her sparkling features. "Sure thing, I'll just have to inform Rin" He replied. "No need to inform me, [Name] already told me" There comes the other Kagamine.
You and Len looked at Rin who smiled at her brother. "Len, you can go and have a running competition with [Name]. Miku said she needed help with something, so I will be going now. Bye!" Rin said before exiting the room, now you and Len are the only ones left.
"I guess Rin still cares for her little twin brother" You teased, grinning at Len who blushed at your statement. "Yeah, right. She is actually the opposite of that" He rolled his eyes and then stood up from his seat. "Shall we go then?" He asked you, and you nodded.
All students had already gone home, and you and Len went to your lockers to return some unneeded things before going to the track field. "We used to compete with each other in running when we were little, right?" The blonde asked as he plopped his things down.
"You're right, and you always lose" You mocked him. "Oh please, I can win this time" He rolled his eyes. You just smirked. "Alright then, the game's on" You proclaimed at his face. "Sure" Len also smirked then touched his forehead with yours, staring at each other's eyes for a while.
Len started to blush at the closeness the two of you were in, but luckily for him, you withdrew back your head. The [h/l] [h/c]-haired girl went to the starting line in position. "Why are you still gazing off? I will start here without you, Len" You called to him.
The blonde Kagamine snapped out of his thoughts with the help of your voice, he blinked a few times before heading to the starting line with a flushed face. He went into position right next to you. "Hey, you're red. Are you fine, should we stop?" You asked him in concern.
"I-it's nothing, really! We should start" Len argued while hiding his still blushing face. "Okay...?" You raised one of your eyebrows at his changed demeanor, Len wasn't usually like this whenever he was with you. "Alright then. Ready.... Set.... Go!" You said out loud then started to run as fast as you could.
Len did the same, he ran with the same speed you have. You looked over to your shoulder to see Len catching up to you. You furrowed your eyebrows in determination to beat him then increased your speed. Len doesn't want to be beaten so he also increased his running speed to match yours.
The two of you were near the finish line yet you and Len were at the same speed, the two of you crossed the goal simultaneously. "That.....was.....a tie....." You said between pants, you rested your hand on your knee while panting. "Yeah.......you're right........." Len agreed as he sat on the track field with sweat all over his body.
Your legs decided to give up and the two of you sat close to each other. You looked at Len and he looked at you, the two you stared at each other's eyes before breaking into laughter. "Look at your face, you're all sweaty!" You told him, laughing at his sweaty face.
"Speak for yourself, [Name]. You're a total mess!" Now Len has something for a comeback, he pointed at your messy feature. Sweaty face and body and messy hair. You just smiled at Len. "Here. I'll wipe your face" Len crawled to you and wiped your sweaty face with his yellow handkerchief.
You blushed at this. "There! All done" Len declared while sitting back. Your face is now as dry as ever. "How about we go outside for a drink?" You suggested, standing up. "Sure. We'll have to change first" Len agreed then stood up too. "If you want..." You started, Len turned his attention to you. You slyly smirked.
"We can change together in here outside," You told him. Len's face suddenly heated up after hearing your sentence, smoke appeared from the top of his head from too much heating. "I'm just joking! You always take everything I say seriously!" You laughed at his expression.
Len finally came back to normal and then looked at you with a smirk, now he has a plan. "If you wanted to~" He went to you and lifted your chin for your eyes to meet his ocean-blue ones. Your laughing matter stopped when Len touched your chin. Now you're the flustered one.
"J-jerk! Let's just go change" You swatted Len's hand away then took your bag and headed towards the building. Len caught up with you while laughing. "Gotcha!" He declared. You just huffed and then crossed your arms. But after a while, you broke again into laughter.

maybe i do: ch 9 weeping tree
read ch 8 here ♡
Link had a kid now. He had a kid! The kid came crashing into his life and changed it for the better. He accepted Lobin’s name of ‘Dada’ for him after a while, it was a good, slight change on the name Dad. Having to figure out what his future kids (now current kid) would call him had given him more distress than he thought it would. Lobin came and fixed that issue with his own little sign for the word.
He had finally convinced Lobin to let him talk to the school about allowing him to attend. There shouldn’t be an issue with his admittance, they had accommodated non-Zora children in the past. Link finished getting himself and Lobin ready to see if they could get him into school. He was tying Lobin’s boots, and a swift 2 knocks at the door made Link jump. Lobin hopped up before Link could finish tying his other boot.
Sidon peeked his head inside. Lobin waved one of his arms at Link excitedly. “Is that the King????” Despite being so excited, he ran back to Link’s side, latching on to Link’s left arm. “Ah Link! I was hoping you were still here, I had an invitation for you to have lunch with me.” Sidon smiled, a faint blush creeped up on his cheeks. “And you! Hello, are you a friend of Link’s?” This perked Lobin right up, he nodded vigorously.
“Master Link is my new Dada!” Lobin had let go of Link and sat back down on the chair, holding his untied boot for Link to finish tying.
Link couldn’t look at Sidon as he finished tying the boot and gave Lobin’s legs a pat letting the child know he was ok to get up now. He stared at the chair before peering up at Sidon from his still crouched position.
“I found him all alone being attacked by a lizalfo last week. He’s grown very attached to me since then.” Link didn’t really know what to say besides that. What more did he really need to say? He couldn’t help but think grimly about the situation. Even if Sidon wasn’t married, pretending he wasn’t king either. Link was NOT confessing, no matter what. He didn’t think he could handle any outcome from confessing his love to Sidon regardless of anything.
“Oh I see! And that sign he did, I’ve never seen that one before. What does it mean?” Sidon had no hint of malice or judgment in his voice. Not like he had a reason to do so. This still was so emotionally overstimulating.
Link paused, and repeated Lobin’s self made sign. “Dada, d-a-d-a. His sign for what he calls me now. Basically it’s just an alternative sign for dad.” Link’s ears lowered, turning pink.
To Link’s pleasant surprise Sidon gently clapped Link on the shoulder. “That’s adorable! How does it feel to be a parent now?” He gave Link a small, mischievous smile. This is so not how Link wanted his morning to go. Obviously Sidon liked kids, he couldn’t get enough of them whenever they passed by him. But for this random kid to pop up out of nowhere, call the hero of Hyrule his dada, and be staying in the inner domain was a lot to ask for Sidon to be gracious about as king. Link willed his thoughts to shut up.
“Your teasing isn’t helping us get ready to try and get him into school!” Link decided to play his anxiety off by resorting to a joking retort.
“This is wonderful news! I'll come with! I need to speak to one of the teachers about some logistics for the new teaching plans. I was actually here to invite you to come along anyways, it would be good for you to meet some more of my people! Of course, I understand your overstimulation with lots of people so you're free to leave whenever. Yona was supposed to accompany me but she woke up with a headache again. “ Sidon looked so happy about Lobin. This was so unexpected Link just stood there staring at the king.
Link nodded once before grabbing Lobin’s attention who was staring out the window in awe of the Domain’s beauty. “This is my good friend King Sidon. He's gonna walk with us to the school so he and I can talk with the teachers.”
Lobin whipped his head around to Sidon, this kid was going to be having quite the eventful day.
As they walked to the school, Lobin had to stop himself from skipping in joy. Master Link had been letting him call him Dada! It made him so happy someone wanted to help him and make him feel loved.
Link was in deep. A little too deep, both with Sidon and Lobin. Sidon looked genuinely so thrilled that Link had randomly found a kid that clung to him automatically. And Link completely agreed with Sidon’s immediate infatuation with Lobin. The kid was just too sweet and Link didn't realize he had such a soft spot for kids.
The children outside the school were giggling and running around before spotting Sidon. Who was faced with a hoard of small kids running towards him. They swarmed Sidon, asking him a million questions, including who the little Hylian was.
Sidon laughed, the enthusiasm of the kids was infectious. “This is my dear friend Lobin! He’s very new to the Domain so it would be lovely if a nice Zora would take him on a tour of the school! Lobin uses Hylian sign like Master Link.”
Lobin blushed and released Link’s tunic from his clutches to wave at the other kids. A younger, yellow scaled Zora waved back, she signed quickly, very excited to show off her skill. “My name is Rema!” She switched to speaking, the words tumbling out of her mouth. “Are you Master Link’s kid??? I didn’t know he was a dad! Are you adopted?”
“Rema.” Sidon let out a snort, “Take it easy there, Lobin will be joining your classes while he and Master Link are staying here.” Link nodded, and gave Lobin a quick smile before Rema took his hand and led him to the playground. This sight made Link tear up a little bit, gods he had taken to this parent role very fast. He side eyed Sidon who seemed to have picked up on Link’s moment of parental joy. Off to formally ask for his newfound son to be admitted into the Zora primary school.
⟡ ⟡ ⟡
The meeting with the primary school teacher went off without a hitch. The school was more than happy to admit Lobin and accommodate for his use of Hylian sign, it was a new requirement for all teachers to know Hylian sign. This made Link feel so much better, he had a feeling his childhood wasn’t nearly as accommodating as he would’ve needed.
“So.” Sidon turned to Link as they walked out of the school, “What shall we do with our time now?” This confused Link, didn’t Sidon have royal things to do? “I have something in mind if you would care to join me.”
Link figured it would be nice to spend some time with another adult. As much as Link now adored Lobin, there was only so much he could talk about with a very shy primary schooler. Sidon led Link to a secluded garden, tucked away in a section of the inner Domain that didn’t seem to be frequently used. A large tree stood in the center of the pavilion, its branches hung low and weeping. The almost blue-green leaves danced in the sweet, gentle breeze which revealed a bench hidden in the embrace of the weeping tree. Sidon sat down, patting the seat next to him. Link obliged, his heart thundering in his chest. Why was he nervous? It was just Sidon. Just Sidon.
Link exhaled and sat down next to Sidon. Yet again he was reminded of how gay he was sitting next to his unrequited crush. The bench wasn’t very big, leaving only a small space between the two.
“What I’m about to say. Please don’t take this the wrong way. I in no way want to make you uncomfortable.” Sidon took a sharp breath, he was becoming exceedingly anxious as the words came out of his mouth. “Yona and I are getting a divorce. We have come to the conclusion it's best for the Domain if we both find someone we love. And. The person I love. Is you.”
Everything stopped, Link stared at his hands. This was not something he had ever dreamed of happening. The words Sidon had just told him. No, confessed to him. A dozen emotions washed over Link, his brain short circuiting. He had just accepted the reality Link could never confess to Sidon only for him to shake that reality to the ground. Not realizing a tear had run down his cheek, Sidon gingerly swiped it from Link’s face.
“I love you too.” The sign itself was simple, Link’s emotions were anything but. He hesitated before pulling Sidon in for a kiss. The kiss was brief, soft and gentle. The emotions they had both thought would never come to the surface had now broken the water.

once more to see you | kth 01
pairing: taehyung x reader ft. seokjin
genre: angst, fluff, unrequited love
synopsis: taehyung is the complete opposite of you, and you're so in love with him. he's not interested in you at all, but he's willing to pretend so he won't be known for breaking the sweetest girl in school's heart. he knows you'll end up hurt either way.
warnings: taehyung is an idiot, a lot of pining, y/n is annoyingly dependent on validation, y/n does a lot of silent prayers, y/n is a track star, childhood bsf seokjin (cute), mentions of deceased family member
music for this chap: she had the world , carry me out
a/n: taehyung will disappoint u in the beginning but hes cute i promise
"I get why you like him Y/N," Sohee swallowed the rest of her sandwich before finishing her sentence, "He's so hot. People say he's interested in you too, y'know?"
Sohee visibly tried to get food out from the back of her mouth using her tongue, and it made you chuckle at the sight. "I don't think he does." You sighed, resting your chin in your palm.
You were both situated at the table in the inner corner of the cafeteria, with a full view of who walks in the door, and sometimes you swore you could see Sohee drool when attractive guys walked in that exact door.
"Hello, of course, he does! Even his friend Jimin told Kang Seulgi from Class 1, who told Go Euntaek in class 3, who eventually told his girlfriend Baek Ho-rang who ran to me to tell me the great news." Sohee gasped for air after rambling, and you rolled your eyes,
"Stories change when that many links contribute." You scoffed, sitting back in your chair and reaching for your juice box on the table, taking a huge slurp, which you knew would annoy Sohee.
"You don't believe me? Guess we gotta ask a link closer to the source then." Sohee stood up from her chair, and you looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Park Jimin, get your ass over here will ya?" She nearly shouted across the cafeteria, and now all looks were pointed at you two, and you felt the urge to just slip down the cracks of the floor tiles and hide there forever grow stronger for each nanosecond.
You sunk further down on your tacky, orange chair, but you could still see Jimin's black locks sway a little over the crowd as he walked over to the table you were sitting at.
"What's up sugar?" Jimin smirked at Sohee, and Sohee didn't even budge, and you had no idea how she did it. He was stupidly attractive and could make any girl drop her pants with a comment like that.
"Jimin my dearest, a little birdie told me that Taehyung likes my sweet Y/N, could you confirm?" She batted her long lashes and smiled prettily at Jimin.
He looked to the left, sucked his teeth, and said, "I can't, I'm sorry." You realized you had grown a little too hopeful, and your heart sunk quite a bit when he spoke.
"Does he think I'm pretty at least?" You spoke up, eyes shining when you looked up towards the standing Jimin, the harsh lights in the cafeteria reflecting in them.
"He hasn't mentioned you much, to be quite honest." He shrugged, walking back to his table, where Taehyung and the rest of his friends sat.
Your heart thumped when he met your eyes, and you looked away in panic. The rest of lunch was just Sohee apologizing and you avoiding eye contact with any of the students at the nearby tables.
Jimin mentioned you and Sohee's name several times, he was a loud speaker, and you were so scared of what he was saying you could probably die right then and there.
Saved by the bell, you picked up your stuff and got ready to start running to your classroom, praying you wouldn't meet any of Taehyung's friends, and especially not Taehyung as you ran Usain Bolt style.
You looked down while running, not thinking twice about leaving your best friend behind, you suddenly fell to the ground with a thud. This was surely not one of your glory days.
When you looked up, you wanted to cry. It was none other than Kim Taehyung, and he didn't look pleased. You gathered your things and muttered "Sorry." under your breath probably about 10 times, and he just watched, disappointingly.
"You're a klutz. Why were you running?" He spoke, and your knees turned into jelly when you tried to stand up, you nearly fell and dropped all your stuff again, but he caught you by the arm, straightening you up like it was nothing.
"Uh... Uhm... Err..." you mumbled, and he rolled his eyes, and not in a joking manner. "Fuck that, why are you going around telling people I like you?"
Your breath hitched, and he stared at you coldly. "I didn't! Gosh, my friend Sohee told me someone had told her that you liked me, and- uh... We asked Jimin, and-" He put his hand over your mouth, making you shut up.
"I don't want you two to go around making up baseless rumors about me, it's incredibly annoying for me to go around correcting people who assume shit just because your little friend speaks louder than a bunch of hyenas at a tea party." Taehyung nearly spat, and you took a step back.
You noticed that people were listening in, their stares burning holes in your back. He was livid, and you didn't understand why, you just smiled, praying to god that this would end soon.
"I just thought you liked me-" You began, and he interrupted you, "You thought I was gonna like someone like you? Get over yourself and enter the real world."
The hallway went silent, your lips trembled as hot tears raced down your face, and like the track star you were, you fled the scene and passed the finish line into the bathrooms.
You stayed till the school day ended, not knowing what was unraveling outside the four walls of the stall.
Sohee 💜: 01:12 pm
Y/N, where are you? i heard what happened :( i hate taehyung im gonna chop his sausage off
Sohee 💜: 01:38 pm
taehyung is fighting w doyoung because doyoung decided to defend you this is hilarious
but fr where are you
Sohee 💜: 01:57 pm
doyoung gave taehyung a black eye damn
doyo is on the verge of tears when taehyung said you liked him and not doyo
taehyung cant not have feelings for you like there must be smth deeper going on
Sohee 💜: 03:39 pm
class just ended i'll wait out back
Sohee always knew when to leave you alone, so she did, partially. You usually shut off your phone when you're upset, but she still sends you texts to update you whenever you turn it back on.
This time, it was quite dramatic, and you rushed out of the icky stall and ran (again) to reach Sohee to get the full story, and as you expected, it was interesting.
"Basically, Doyoung punched Taehyung and Taehyung was a little too OP, so he failed to initiate a fight, so it just turned into Taehyung being an ass to Doyoung for defending you." She shrugged, adjusting the straps of her leather backpack as you walked home.
"Taehyung's rep is so tainted right now, I don't know how he's gonna fix this my dear Y/N, so I guess he got his karma. He's an idiot and I'm glad other people are starting to see."
You nodded yes, pushing out a fake chuckle, while silently you prayed that everything would soon be back to normal and that Taehyung would forgive you for the mess you caused.
Being in love with Taehyung for a year had taken a toll on you, and your best friend since freshman year had noticed too. You were different.
You used to be so independent and optimistic, but now you would strive for validation, and you had turned into one of the most insecure people Sohee had ever met.
Sohee tried to pull you away from him, but to her demise, it only got worse when you tried to meet other guys. She figured that the only way for you to disconnect from him was if you had your go with him, or if he treated you like a complete idiot.
You waved goodbye to Sohee as you entered your house, kicking off your shoes and throwing yourself down on the couch. You wanted to scream, but you saw your brother's and another guy's shoes in your hallway, so you kept it inside.
After having watched an episode of Seinfeld, you could hear the floorboards creak, and your gaze found its way to the hallway, where your brother, Yoongi stood, peeking out from his door.
"Ah, Y/N, you're the one who's home?" He smiled brightly, eyes turning into small crescents, which made you awe at the sight.
"Yuppers." You said and sat back again, pressing play to start the next episode. "Who's your guest?" And as you uttered your last word, another head peeked out from the door, and you couldn't help but feel the happiness brew inside you.
It was Kim Seokjin in all his glory, and this time, he looked even hotter. It had been about two years since you last saw him because he moved to Germany to study medicine.
Seokjin had been your neighbor since you were born, and you pretty much grew up with two older brothers who always took care of you.
No one dared to mess with you, because Seokjin and Yoongi always got to them first. That way, you grew up without a care in the world, protected from all evil.
You had no idea when you fell in love with him. It was somewhere during puberty, where your interest in Brad Pitt and Kim Soohyun from Dream High had grown stronger.
You remember Seokjin was scouted for modeling, acting, and even idol groups all through your childhood. He did a few ads, photoshoots, a popular teenage drama called Double Trouble, and even managed to get his own Wikipedia page.
There was no doubt that Seokjin was an attractive man, and in the two years he had been gone, his face fat was completely gone, and he had defined cheekbones, a slimmer and tighter figure, and you thought he couldn't be any more perfect.
"None other than God himself," Seokjin said smugly, opening his arms to greet you with a hug, and you threw your blanket you were covered into the side as you bolted into Seokjin's arms, legs wrapped around his waist.
He slowly put you down so your feet touched the parquet, and you felt a kind of euphoria as he smiled at you again, the same smile he had flashed you as long as you could remember.
Everything about Seokjin had matured and changed, but his smile remained the same. "What are you doing back?" You sniffled, holding back the happy tears that were forming in your eyes.
"Hey, don't get me wrong, I love Germany, but it's a little bland. I miss ahjumnas complimenting me on the subway and the bomb ass food here in SK." Seokjin grinned as he wiped a tear that fell down your face.
Yoongi was leaning against the door frame, smiling at the grand reunion. You knew he liked seeing you two together, and you had a small suspicion about him shipping you guys.
"Please don't ever leave again." You gripped onto his shirt, digging your face down in his chest, and he said, "I swear to god if you're wearing makeup right now-"
You laughed as you pushed him away, placing your hands below your chin and batting your eyelashes dramatically, "I'm all-natural."
"Naturally pretty." Seokjin leaned forward and whispered in your ear, and your heart did a little somersault.
Seokjin's always been a charmer.
You woke up in your room, pink sheets draped over your half-naked body as tons of messages poured in on your phone, vibrating so much it nearly fell off the edge of your nightstand.
You grab it while rubbing your eyes, and you're shocked to see the messages that had exploded on your lock screen.
Unknown: 08:39 am
Hey, it's Kim Taehyung.
Look, I'm sorry for the shit I said to you and I would love to make it up to you in some kind of way.
Maybe I could take you out?
I get it if you don't want to, but I heard you were interested in me so...
What kinda food do you like? Activities, hobbies?
I really wanna make this right :)

Okay. Meet me at Nori Table at 6 pm. Don't make me wait.
Your heart was palpitating, and when you pressed your phone up to your chest, you could feel your body heat up from your scalp to your toes.
Maybe Kim Taehyung had no interest in you right now, but he sure would after tonight. You were gonna make him love you, soon enough,
Running to the shower a few hours of Seinfeld later, you scrubbed with all your might with your newest strawberry scrub, did your makeup, curled your hair, and sat down on the couch, outfit draped over the armrest of the chair.
It was an hour till you were leaving, so for the time being you sat with hair rollers in your hair, dressed in pink sweats. Seokjin and Yoongi had been awake all night, you had heard them laugh and play Mario Cart all night, it reminded you of old times.
Old times where you went to bed crying because Yoongi and Seokjin's bedtime was later than yours at sleepovers. Thinking back, your parents made a pretty rational decision, but you resented them for it.
When Seokjin left for school in Germany, during your Sophomore year you cried again. You thought it was so unfair that you had to be two years younger, why couldn't you come with him?
You were painfully in love with him, and you had been probably since you were. A few months after he moved, your feelings faded. You were love-free, only to fall stupidly in love again with Taehyung just a year later.
You were forced to snap out of your train of thought because you heard the floorboards creak again. When you looked over at the dark hallway, you saw a tired, yet familiar face smile at you.
Seokjin looked quite disoriented, hair ruffled and eyes puffy, yet he looked like a Greek god. Sculpted to perfection, he smiled at you like he did yesterday and all the times before.
"Morning." He grunted out, his morning voice prominent. You chuckled when you looked at the time, feeling kind of bad for Seokjin who had slept away the majority of his day, which you knew he didn't like.
"It's 5 pm, cutie. Mom said you guys could order takeout, cause she's working late." You stood up, and Seokjin gave you a good look up and down, and then diverted his gaze to the lavender ruffle skirt and white long-sleeve blouse you had neatly hung over the armchair.
"What's the occasion?" He nodded over at the clothes and then your hair rollers and full-face makeup-covered face. He threw a few walnuts from the little bowl on the coffee table into his mouth.
"It's none of your business, but I have a date tonight," you said smugly, and a walnut flew out of Seokjin's mouth in shock.
"A date? Like a real one?" He frantically asked, and you nodded as you walked away with your outfit in hand.
You came back out minutes later, and Seokjin had to hold his mouth shut so it wouldn't drop to the floor. You had matured so well, a white blouse adorning your waist, and the lavender skirt hugged your curves nicely.
You had decorated your neck and ears with golden jewelry, and you had a pair of Air forces dangling from your left hand. You were beautiful, hair let free from the hair rollers, curls swaying as you did a twirl.
"It's alright, I guess." He pretended not to care, and your proud grin morphed into a frown pretty quickly, and he noticed.
He stood up and walked towards you, standing very close. His tall figure was hovering over you. Seokjin leaned forward towards your ear, not whispering this time,
"You're gorgeous." He pushed your curls behind your shoulder, adjusting your golden necklace as he returned to Yoongi's bedroom.
You were screwed.
The time on your phone showed 6:06 pm. You recall him saying ‘don’t be late’. What a hypocrite. It had started to pour down, so you were squeezed up against the brick wall of the restaurant so the ledge above you would shield you from the rain.
You were shaking from the cold, legs exposed because of your skirt. Sighing deeply, you reached down into your purse to text Taehyung, but when you looked up, you saw him running over to you.
He was holding a bouquet of pink delphinium and peonies. You’d always been interested in flowers, and this small gesture made you all fuzzy inside.
“I apologize for my late arrival m’lady. The flower shop was about to close down for the day, and I had to beg the cashier to let me in, promising to buy a huge bouquet if she did.” He smiled as he stood in front of you.
“No worries sir, I haven’t been waiting for long.” You chuckled, as you accepted the bouquet. His eyes scanned every inch of your body, and he said, “You’re shivering. Let’s go inside.”
This was a side of Taehyung you had barely seen before, caring and warm. This was also the side of him that initially made you fall for him.
The memories of him reading stories for children at the hospital was heartwarming. Whenever you went to visit your brother, who has now passed, you would see him read stories for all the unlucky kids.
Your brother, who was only 7 years old talked about Taehyung like a superhero, and it seemed as if Taehyung’s stories were the highlight of his days at the hospital.
Daejung wasn’t a kid you would pity. In his last months in the hospital he never once cried. You believed that Taehyung was a big part of the reason.
That’s why you fell in love with him. He hadn’t been a superhero in the form of saving lives, but he definitely made a whole lot of sick kids happier.
How could you ever repay him?
Taehyung rested a hand on your shoulder and lead you inside the door, and there stood a beautiful tall woman, black hair to her waist, almond-shaped eyes, and full lips.
She was beautiful. You looked up to see Taehyung’s reaction, and he wasn’t looking at her, he was looking at you. His eyes met yours, and you could’ve sword the whole world stopped.
“Excuse me?” An unfamiliar voice spoke up, and it kicked you right back into reality. It was the pretty woman speaking, an even prettier voice to match her.
“Do you have a reservation?” She questioned, smiling so genuinely from ear to ear. “Yes. It’s on Kim.” Taehyung spoke so confidently.
“Ah, for two. I’ll be your server tonight.” She waved for you to follow her, and before she turned around, you saw her name tag.
Bae Eunmi. A pretty name for a pretty person. Of course, she had to be pretty. Your confidence sunk even lower, and your insecurities grew.
“I’m not interested in her, by the way. I’ve talked to her before. She’s all beauty and no brains. Not for me.” Taehyung whispered into your ear, possibly to reassure you.
You sat down at the table and ordered a huge plate of different types of sushi, maki, nigiri, uramaki, and even sashimi.
This restaurant was fancy, nearly too fancy for your liking. It was huge and flashy, and it made you doubt your outfit choice completely.
The restaurant fell silent since there weren’t many guests here this early. The silence wasn’t awkward between you guys. It was just, too silent, and you decided to break it.
“Do you still write stories?” Taehyung’s face froze. How did you know about the stories he wrote? Had you been stalking him? Was this when everyone would find out how weak he truly is?
“How did you find out... About them?” He asked hesitantly, fidgeting with a small woven basket with bread placed on your table.
“When sun and moon met, moon felt bad. When the moon was alone at night, he cried, because he wanted to shine just like the sun.” You quote his story word by word, it was your favorite paragraph.
He looked at you with a confused look and his eyes told you that he wondered why you knew the story so well.
Before he could speak up, you said, “My brother's name was Daejung. He looked up to you and constantly told me about how he wanted to be like you when he grew up.” You placed your hands on top of his over the table.
Taehyung was speechless. He sat there, body completely frozen as he processed what you just said. The little boy he had mourned for many months was the same flesh and blood as you.
“Daejung told me how he wanted me to marry you because he thought no one else deserved me.” Letting go of his hands, he continued sitting completely still.
First, he felt disappointed in himself. Disappointed of the way he had treated you, how sad Daejung would be if he knew.
Second, he could see him in your traits. Your button nose matched his completely, and your eyes sparkled just the way his eyes did.
Third, he realized he had to take care of you. Fall in love with you, for Daejung. Taehyung had promised the little boy to take care of his friends and family when he has at his worst.
His expression completely changed. It softened, and his eyes looked at you like you were godsent. He believed you were too. It was fate.

Don't Push It, Pt. 1
Unprofessional Bard's Masterlist
Part 2 (1/2)
Based on this request.
Pairing: Joel Miller x Female!Reader
Warnings: Age gap (the reader is 26 and Joel is 53), a lot of teasing/sexual tension, implied romantic feelings.
Summary: It's been going on for years. They both know better than to act on their feelings, but patience starts running thin when a few boundaries are crossed.
Word Count: 5.280
Author's Note: Okay y'all so I am a whore for Joel with long hair and I unintentionally made this into a fix-it au where Joel is alive. Also, the reader is going to have some OC characteristics to fit the scenario better. Finally, this fic changes POV's a lot, so I'm gonna clear that up:
• ----R and below: The reader's POV.
• ----J and below: Joel's POV.
• ----B and below: Both POV's.
The fic starts off with Joel's POV.
Enjoy!

"Hey, Joel," Dina called over to the man sipping coffee on his porch.
"Mornin' Dina," He replied as his daughter's girlfriend walked over to him. Her baby bump had grown a little more and it never failed to put a smile on Joel's face.
"There's a little trouble with the patrol today," She said. "Jesse won't be able to make it to patrol with (Y/N)."
Shit.
"And they're askin' me to fill in?" He sat up a little.
"Yup, Maria told me to ask you if-"
"No problem, sure, I'll do it." He spoke nonchalantly, then asked if Jesse was alright. Dina told him she wasn't sure, that it must be something important for him to miss patrol, which made Joel nod: "You told (Y/N) too, or...?"
"No, but she's gonna be there regardless. I doubt that she knows."
"Alright, thanks Dina," Joel got up and she smiled in return before walking over to Ellie's place.
It was wrong. By the lord it was wrong, but he couldn't help it. You were fierce, confident, determined and disciplined; qualities he came to appreciate in time, but a bit differently only when it came to you. He shouldn't want you, an unknown source in his mind kept telling himself, but he did. He didn't know why, he never found himself being attracted to a woman your age, yet you had him under your spell. Oh the things you did to him...
Worst part was, he couldn't have you, whether he liked it or not. Nevermind the fact that you were too young for him, you probably didn't want him anyways- despite the crystal clear signals he got from you. It was just how you were, though: A little physical and perhaps a little flirty, but he could just be confusing that with your confidence.
Or he could be overthinking everything.
Joel readied his backpack, but realised there was still a little more than an hour before the rendez-vous, so he decided to head over to your place to tell you about the news to kill some time. After he made it there and knocked on your door while calling your name a couple of times, which were left unanswered, your neighbour curiously looked over the fences and called over to Joel: "She left a while ago... For the gym, I think."
"Thank you," Joel smiled politely and earned a wave from the lady in return. He took his time as he walked over to the gym. After he arrived, he looked around for awhile to spot where you were, but when he found it, the sight almost made him choke.
There you were, ankles crossed as you pulled yourself up and chin over the barfix with closed eyes, a frown and a clenched jaw. Sweat laced the sides of your face and Joel's eyes wandered lower: You were wearing a sports bra and matching shorts which hugged your frame tightly and the sun was shining directly onto your muscles, which the lord himself carved out and were also sweaty, but Joel didn't care - it made you look more attractive, if anything. You let out a huff and lowered yourself down, while he tried to collect himself. He didn't want to disturb you so he decided to wait until you finished...
...but you didn't seem to be finishing any time soon. He didn't want to look like a creep as he stood there and waited, so after you did another pull up and let yourself down, he cleared his throat.
----R
"(Y/N), here you are."
Had you not been already hanging, you definitely would've fell when you heard Joel's voice reach your ears. You opened your eyes to see him slowly approach you, his stupid thumb stuck in behind his stupid belt.
You hated it: You hated finding this man attractive and you hated your guts for occasionally flirting with him - him, who probably would never look at you the way you looked at him. He liked you, of course, he enjoyed your company but not the way you wanted him to. You hated that you had a crush on this man, who became even more gorgeous as he let his hair grow over the last few years, you also hated how he neatly parted it to the left.
Patrol with him was both a treat and a curse at the same time. You got to spend time with him, which made it a treat, but when you watched him- saw him in action, how aggressive he was, heat started to pool between your thighs. He was so rough and precise as he was smart; he always knew what to do under any circumstance, so you almost never worried when you went out with him. He made you feel safe, praised you and played with your heart when he responded to your flirting and nothing came out of it.
You hated it because your little "crush" on him was pathetic, for someone as confident as you. Sure, you teased and flirted with him, but one praise as simple as you did well today and you'd be melting on spot. You even tried to get with other people to distract yourself, to no avail. They weren't Joel.
None of them could ever be Joel.
"Good morning!" You said with a high pitched voice, reflecting your struggle to keep yourself up.
"To you too," He chuckled at your state and watched as you pulled yourself up slowly. "Hey, listen. Jesse ain't gonna make it to patrol today so I'm fillin' in for him."
----B
The way you faltered a little didn't escape him: "Why? Is he okay?"
"I dunno, but I'm sure he is. Something important must've come up," Joel informed you, not wanting to worry you as you seemed to care about him. A lot. Ugh.
"Tsk," You breathed out and closed your eyes to focus on keeping your head above the metal bar.
Joel then spoke again: "Yeah, I was just here to let ya know."
"Okay, well-" You exhaled audibly and suddenly let yourself go. The force of the action sent you flying a little and it almost made you bump into him: "Woah, oh, sorry-"
"Woah there," You both chuckled at the same time. Joel held you by your elbows to help you balance yourself and your heart rate picked up pace when you realised how close your face was to his chest a moment ago - the chest you wanted to get your hands on: How muscular was he? How many scars did he have there? How would it feel to run your fingers through the hair as you ro-
"Uhm, yeah, as I was saying," You snapped yourself back to reality and took a small step back, disappointed by the way his fingers let go of your arms: "I'm done here, just need to do a couple of stretches, then head back and take shower."
"Right. Well, I'll see you at the gate, then?"
"Uh, sure, yeah."
You didn't know what else to say other than stay. You wanted him near you and around you, you wanted to show off to him and you wanted his attention, so you had to think quick.
Joel didn't want to leave either, even though you were going to spend the whole day together. He still nodded and turned around to leave. It was then, when a brilliant idea crossed your mind: "Actually, Joel?" He turned around, gave you a soft look that made you want to run up to him and kiss all over his face. "Could you help me with my stretches?"
If he'd been drinking or eating anything, he most definitely would've choked: "Help you?"
"Yeah," You flashed a smile at him. "It's simple, you just gotta press me down and keep me in place." The widening of his eyes, puzzled face and his tense posture made you shy. "Eh- Normally, Jesse helped me with them."
True. Some stretches required someone to push your body to its limits - when you worked out alone, you stuck to simpler stretches, but right now, you needed a reason to have him by your side.
Joel was torn between leaving, like a responsible person who knew when to walk away would. He was responsible, yes, but his moral compass was thrown out of the window whenever you joined the picture. So far, he wanted to think he was handling his emotions well- by not acting on them and not talking about them.
Now, however, it was as if he was facing the last straw. He had a few boundaries left to cross, and this was one of them.
"Plus, I'm a bit tired to do them. Will you help me?"
Lies. All lies.
You'd been doing these stretches for long enough, even though you'd worked hard, you weren't tired at all. Joel thought this to be the case, so he tried to go around it: "You sure? I mean, how're you tired?"
"I've been training like hell this morning," You settled on the mat. "I don't wanna do these stretches, but I have to. I'm not in the mood to pull a muscle today."
That was good enough for him really: "'Kay," He sighed. "What do you need me to do?"
Your eyes glowed in excitement before you faced forward and explained: "Im gonna lean forward, like this-" You extended your legs forward and lowered yourself down. "All you gotta do is press on my back and stop me from moving away for a few seconds."
A few seconds which felt like five minutes, truth be told.
As soon as he touched your bare back, you sighed, then forced it into a hiss. He immediately retreated his hands, thinking he hurt you, pushing the ludicrous idea that you might have moaned away immediately.
His hands were big and a little cold comparing to your skin which was on fire after the workout, but you'd be lying if you said you didn't do that on purpose. You straightened up and looked at him with an innocent smile: "Your hands are cold."
Not cold enough to make you react like that, obviously.
Joel offered an awkward chuckle from the back of his throat: "You're gonna have to deal with it, missy."
And deal with it you did- barely. Christ, that was a bad idea, your worst one yet. To have his hands on your bare skin, pressing you down made your cheeks burn and mouth hang open as he kept you in place. You almost didn't hear him when he spoke, too busy trying to comprehend the size of his hands and how they'd feel around your throa-
"How many of these do you gotta do?"
"Uh, dunno," You blurted out. "Not too many."
Joel was partly glad, it felt so wrong yet it was just a simple act of help you could've asked from anyone. After 20 seconds of staying like that, you straightened. You went into a head-to-knee position and gave him an okay to press you down again.
You switched to the other leg after half a minute, but you were running out of ideas. There weren't any positions left that you could use his help with, so you played one last card to ruin him: "More."
"W-What?"
Good riddance.
"Press a little harder," You pretended to focus and tried your best not to smirk, knowing you had him where you wanted.
"Oh- hm," He cleared his throat and pressed a little more down on your back. If your plan hadn't backfired and made you almost moan through your teeth, everything was going accordingly.
Joel went to pull back, but stopped when you added: "It's been a while since I did these..."
Christ.
"That enough?" He slowly retreated his hands and stood up, watching you lean up where you sat.
"Yup, that'll be it," You smiled and blinked a couple of times. If Joel had known better, he would've thought you were making him do that, then being all cute on purpose-
It was going to be a long day.
----R
Patrol with the older Miller went as normally as it always was. Part one usually went like this: Meet up at the gate, get your rifles and horses, ride out, reach checkpoint one and sign your names. The road to checkpoint one didn't have any trouble, it usually never did. It was more quiet between you two than usual though. Had you gone too far?
"So, uh," You said once the two of you mounted your horses again. "You coming to the dance tonight?"
"What?" He snapped his head in your direction, looking clueless. "What dance?"
"Well, not a dance exactly but- you know what I mean?" You started riding. "The adults only event?"
He looked really distracted, a bit tense even: "Oh, right. You know those ain't my thing."
"I know," You nodded with a soft smile. "But I haven't seen you in any event ever since you decked Seth."
"Decked?" Joel chuckled bitterly at the memory.
"He deserved it, and more, that prick," You rolled your eyes, making him chortle.
"And nobody managed to shut up about it for the whole month," He sighed with a gorgeous yet tired smile on his face which you managed to see just in time. "So, no thanks. I'll pass."
"Aw, come on," You whined. "You can't avoid coming to these events forever. Please?"
He gave you a confused look, his smile slowly disappearing but not in a bad way: "Why?"
A good question. Oh, no reason, just wanna try and make a move on you, quite possibly jump your bones if it all goes well.
"I wanna make sure you haven't lost your ability to socialise." You offered.
"Really? Why, you're my momma now?"
"Ew, no," You both laughed. "Can't I be sure my friend is alive and well occasionally?"
----J
Friend.
A word that made Joel stop and think.
You saw him as a friend, huh? Two people, with clear sexual tension and an obvious age gap between them- Friends was an awkward description for him, but it was better than nothing.
He opened his mouth to reply, to insist that he was indeed alive and well, but you stopped him: "You know what I mean."
The conversation was making him a little distracted, he noticed, so he decided to keep his mouth shut until you reached checkpoint two. You didn't press him on, which was also a delight. That's another thing he liked about you: You knew your bounds- in patrol anyways. Or maybe it was because you got to know him well over the time, knew what he liked or not.
Part two went quieter too- infected and conversation wise. Not even a single runner was on sight as you swept through the small cabins and houses. Except for the occasional clear's and nothing here's, you didn't say anything else. Joel itched to talk to you, about anything to break the silence, but he was too lost in thought.
When you finally made it back to Jackson, you finally spoke up: "So? You coming?" He chuckled, mostly out of relief, then you added: "I found a new outfit, I wanna know what you think."
That caught Joel's attention. With a curious smile, after handing over your horses, he asked: "What outfit?"
"You'll see... If you come." You smirked, your close proximity making Joel's heart race.
"Don't get your hopes up," He sighed with a small grin and tucked his thumb behind his belt, the other one gripping the strap of his rifle.
"You're the worst," You punched his shoulder with mock upset, making him chortle and stumble a little to the right. "Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow then."
Joel remained quiet, then you walked away with a soft smile gracing your lips. The words sunk deeper than he would've liked, a sudden wave of guilt soaking his guts with regret, even though you didn't sound disappointed or upset. Lips pursed, he watched you hand your rifle to Peter and sign off, then leave; his steps coming to a halt as you did.
He just might check out what was up at the dance tonight, if he could successfully move himself out of his comfort zone in the following few hours.
----R
"Well well, look who it is," Tommy grinned when you approached the doors of the pub. The night had settled across the sky by the time you stepped outside your place. The sound of music and chatter of the people from inside filled your ears.
"Yours truly," You smirked. "It's crowded in there huh?"
"It sure is," Tommy said as he turned around to lead you inside. "Adults only events tend to attract more people, as y'can guess. Don't you look pretty today."
"Why thank you." You smiled playfully: "For no one, but myself, at that."
You lied through your teeth. You had dressed up in the silly hope that Joel would actually show up. You had been planning on it ever since you came across the item wrapped around your hips in an abandoned clothes shop a few weeks ago, and this event was the perfect excuse for you to wear it. For him.
"I ain't sayin' nothing!" Tommy raised his hands up in defense. "Figured that much, haven't seen anyone catch your interest in a long time."
Ha. Nice.
The atmosphere was lively and the air was warm, full of energy. Chatter and dancing went about the packs of people scattered across the space, but you couldn't see Joel, much to your disappointment - you weren't surprised though. What surprised you was Jesse suddenly showing up.
"Where's Ellie and Dina?" You asked after a while of teasing him about missing patrol.
"They decided to stay behind, I guess." He shrugged.
"What can I get y'all?" Tommy smiled, suddenly appearing behind the counter. Without waiting for an answer, he filled two glasses and pushed them towards you. You and Jesse looked at each other for a brief moment, before knocking it back at one go. "Woah there..."
A round of laughter later, you felt someone's presence behind you, then they tapped you on the shoulder: "Hey, (Y/N)!"
Much to your disappointment, once more, it was a boy named Mark. He was a year older than you, had no features whatsoever matching Joel's prettier ones and he took an obvious liking to you, which in truth you didn't appreciate, even though he wasn't weird about it or anything. You faked a smile and turned to him a little: "Hi."
"Good to see you," Sure. "How, uh, how are you?"
"Busy, actually," You pointed at the glass Tommy was refilling for you.
"Mind if I join?" He made himself comfortable on the stool next to you.
"Yeah. I do." Your smile never faded but your words were laced with poison.
He looked between you, Tommy and Jesse, mortified at your answer: "W- Heh, well, would you wanna dance later, then-?"
"No, I don't." You spoke calmly and turned to face Jesse again, only for him to move to tap you on the shoulder, which Tommy stopped from happening.
"Why don't you go home, huh?" He grabbed his wrist firmly, but not hard enough to leave a bruise of course. "The lack of oxygen in your brain's clearly stoppin' you from understandin' a word as simple as no."
You looked over at the younger Miller, a stern look on his face which seemed to make Mark piss himself. Suddenly, an even deeper voice was heard behind the boy: "I advise you to listen to him, son."
You turned completely in your seat to see Joel grabbing Mark by the shoulders, making him jump, then remove him from the seat carefully. Mark's legs were quick to oblige, making him walk towards the exit, but Joel held him in place: "A-ah, what do you say to the lady?"
"I'm s-sorry, (Y/N)," He nodded quickly. "I'll never disturb you again, I promise."
"Good boy," Joel patted him on the back, which sent him running to the door. Your cheeks were suddenly burning and you couldn't help but smile shyly.
"Tsk, what a jackass," Tommy nodded disapprovingly as Joel took the now empty space next to you.
"You decided to show then, huh?" You smirked at Joel.
"Yeah, figured you'd break someone's wrists and make 'em eat it," He chuckled, tipping his head at his brother in a greeting -God he looked so handsome, was that a new shirt?- before he continued: "Decided it'd be a shame to miss it."
You giggled and lightly pushed at his arm, almost immediately feeling the muscles underneath the rolled up sleeve of his blue shirt: "I'll take that as a I came because you asked and I listened for once." The exchange, obviously, didn't go unnoticed by his brother and Jesse, which made you sit upright suddenly: "Tommy was the one who was gonna break his wrist anyways..."
"Nobody gets to disturb anyone here, especially right in front of me," He said and slid a glass to his brother.
Jesse joined in: "I doubt it, but should he ever-"
"Aw, you guys are spoiling me," You grinned and waved your hand down, pressing the other onto your chest.
----J
You looked beautiful. You were wearing a plain, dark green, mid-thigh, flare skirt; which could pass as a miniskirt, but Joel was no fashion expert. You always did come up with the rarest clothing items (like your sports set that morning), so he wasn't surprised that you happened across the skirt. You also had a simple, white, v-neck t-shirt on- which all in all was the reason you left Joel speechless: You could be wearing something as simple as these, but you'd still look so damn pretty.
A few minutes later, after Jesse and Tommy disappeared in different directions and you were finally left alone, Joel spoke up: "Is this the-"
"What made you-" You gave each other a brief look before chuckling: "You go first."
"Ah, I was gonna ask if this was the outfit you wanted me to see," He said, briefly looking down to point at your skirt.
He watched you run a hand through your hair and bite your bottom lip before answering: "Yeah..." You got up and stuffed your hands in your pockets, which made Joel's heart sizzle. "What do you think?"
He gave you a genuine smile: "I think you look beautiful."
The shock on your face made Joel panick a little, but when you offered a shy little smile, he relaxed: "You- Really?"
He gave you a single, slow nod in acknowledgement, his smile grew bigger when you beamed at him and offered him a quiet thank you, then sat back. You were staring hard at your glass, clearly avoiding his gaze and he found it rather cute, but didn't comment on it.
He was looking forward to chat with you, after all, you were the reason why he showed up, but you were unfortunately dragged away by a couple of friends, Jesse included...
To dance.
An upbeat song he didn't recognise started playing, putting you and another boy, Mick, to action. Everyone backed away to give you two space, then started off with what seemed to be something you'd been practicing for a while. You mirrored each other's moves, it was similar to some folk dance he'd watched way before the outbreak, but it most definitely wasn't a folk dance. Your arms linked occasionally, hands on your hips as you crossed each other's legs with fast movements and other types of moves Joel couldn't name if he tried, but it was organised and fun to watch. It wasn't intimate, too, just a silly little dance as you called it minutes later when you finished and walked to the bar for a drink. You didn't stay long, though, just downed your drink, winked at him and went back to the stage where you and Mick (but mostly you) stole the show.
It went on for two more rounds, to the point your t-shirts were absolutely soaked and your legs couldn't take it anymore. Joel had a particularly hard time in his seat, watching your skirt float around your thighs made him feel embarrassed with himself. Tommy even went as far as to tease him about his constant squirming, but a glare from his older brother was enough to shut him up.
The last dance finished off with you in Mick's arms, leaning back in his hold and closing your eyes with laughter. Everyone clapped you both, which earned you a kiss on the cheek from Mick- which you returned. Joel's jaw clenched unintentionally, even though you and him didn't appear to be more than friends.
Stop. Stop it, you idiot.
He couldn't care less about these types of things, drama about who's dating who and whatnot, but when it came to you he naturally grew curious.
He watched you, eyelids struggling to keep themselves open as Jesse led you and helped you onto the stool, next to Joel once more. You huffed and giggled, eyes closed with sweat droplets on your forehead. He couldn't help it when his smile grew wider at your tipsy state.
What he didn't see coming was the sudden hand on his thigh and your back against his arm, letting your head drop onto his shoulder as you let out a brief laugh: "Never let me dance and drink at the same time again."
Joel didn't know what to say, he quickly looked around for Jesse only to find him already gone and a couple of people staring at the both of you. With a rush of panic, he responded: "I don't think I'm the one you should say that to, darlin'."
Your hand and the rest of your body immediately retreated when you jumped at his voice: "Joel?!" You looked a little embarrassed and he couldn't help but smirk. "Uh, where's Jesse?"
The question almost made him scrunch up his face, but he patiently waited until the end of the conversation, which was after you've walked away to find the boy in question and he was alone with his own thoughts... Jealousies...
"He dropped you off and went over there, I think." Joel nodded to the direction he thought Jesse went off to - he didn't see though, he was too busy focusing on you when your fingertips had brushed somewhere dangerously near his crotch.
"Huh," You stared around to find him, but Joel figured you were too intoxicated to actually see that far. "You need to stop wearing the same clothes."
He raised a brow at that: "You tell him that."
"Oh I will," You grinned mischievously and suddenly grabbed Joel's glass of whiskey from his hand, then downed it at one go before he could intervene.
"Hey!" He tried to grab the glass from you but you leaned back. "I think you've had enough for the night."
"Says who-?" You pouted and at the very same time, lost your balance, realising that you leaned a little too back. However, Joel caught you; one hand on your arm, the other on your waist and he pulled you back - he didn't know if you did it purposefully, but you practically fell into his body: "Oh! I'm sorry-" You laughed, not looking sorry at all. "Thanks, Joel," You purred, extending the 's' and the 'l' at the end of each word as you grabbed onto his biceps. "You saved me."
"Pfft," Joel couldn't help but let his hand linger on your waist as he made sure you stood in place. Your eyes met when you lifted your head from his chest - the meaning behind his hazel gaze and your own was similar and it lasted for what felt like a whole minute, while in reality it was no longer than a few seconds.
You finally let his arms go and he took it as his cue to remove his hand from your waist (which, for a moment, felt like it had been glued there): "So... You enjoying yourself, old man?"
Joel sighed through his nose, amused at how the alcohol in your system was slowing your speech, then went back to how he had been sitting before you came. Just when you asked, the smooth, familiar tune of Ain't No Sunshine started playing. After all the excitement, a slower music felt nice: "Sure. You?"
"Oh I sure am," You nodded and leaned back against the counter with something of a triumphant smile.
"I can tell," Joel replied, then without turning his head, side eyed you. His stare later on moved down to your skirt. "Why'd you get all dressed up for, really?"
"Huh?" You blinked, not processing if he was asking what you thought he was.
"I, uh- just never took you for the skirt type."
"Is that so?" You asked, eyes widening. "Well, just trying on a new outfit..." You looked down and bit your lower lip, making Joel's heart skip a beat. He mentally kicked himself for not leaving right then and there and continuing to talk to you: "There's actually another reason."
"Hm?"
"There's this guy," You turned towards him, placed your arm paralleled across his on the counter and leaned forward a little, pretending to look around. His fingertips scratched against the wooden surface of the counter at the mention of this guy in question. "I don't know his name, but maybe you do?"
He just raised a brow when you looked at him innocently: "He's a bit old, around this tall," Your hand went back and forth in the air as you tried to size the man's height in your mind. "Has pretty, long, graying hair with an also graying beard... A little scar on his nose," You looked at him and leaned in a little more, invading his personal space but not touching him, then pointed at the exact spot on your nose and it was then, Joel realised, that you were indeed describing himself. "He's wearing this blue shirt and, honestly, it would look better on him if he opened another button or two."
I know, I know
Hey I oughta leave young thing alone
But ain't no sunshine when she's gone
He wanted to counter, tease you back, lean down and taste your lips, then place a kiss or two on your neck and bite it softly just to hear you moan quietly into his ear- he also needed to get his shit together, as much as he wanted to do all of that.
He couldn't quite believe his self control when he leaned away from you, especially since the tip of your noses almost touched and he felt your hot breath on his lips. He cleared his throat and quickly looked around to see if anyone was looking- no one had seen the rather intimate interaction so he spoke: "I don't know who that is."
The disappointment on your features was like a knife twisting up in his guts. You blinked a couple of times, but didn't lean back: "S- Sure you do..."
"I don't," Joel insisted, his voice stern. "Maybe you should look for someone else."
Your disappointment turned into embarrassment and anger, making you frown and lean back: "Excuse me."
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
And this house just ain't no home
Anytime she goes away
And with that, you got up and stormed away, leaving Joel wanting, aching and ashamed.
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away

“The Villainess Knight and His Princess”
Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz x Reader
Requested: Yes : No
Request: I love your Hawk/Eli imagines sm hi!!! Also random request I thought of: imagine Hawk coming to you after a fight and you doctor his wounds and such and just keeps flirting which you like play off but then he reveals he’s dead serious about crushing on the reader?? You don’t have to write this if you don’t want to, but just an idea lol 😂😂😂 ok bye! Thank you for being an awesome writer!-Anon
Sorry this took soooo long! I’ve been having a couple of hard weeks so I’ve been trying my hardest to come out with content.
Summary: Over the past few months your old aquanince has come to you asking for you to fix his wounds The whole time he continues to shamelessly flirt with you, what happens if he goes a little to far?
Words: 1043
You sat on your bed as you read through your favorite book. You’ve read it about 100 times now, but it always gave you this feeling of joy inside whenever you read it. It was about a Villiness Knight who is later found out to be a pheasant boy that got picked on in his village. The princess decides that she is going to find this Villiness Knight and put an end to his villiness crimes, but instead she falls in love. It’s a story about love and forgiveness.
You smiled to yourself as you got to your favorite part. The Princess and the Villainess Knight were getting to know each other by the campfire. Your thoughts were interrupted though, by the sound of something heavy hitting your window. You jumped out of your bed wondering what you should do. Should you run and go tell your parents? Should you open the window? The universe so graciously didn’t let you finish these thoughts as the window opened to reveal Hawk.
“H-hey Y/n.” He said as he coughed. You looked at him to see he had cuts and bruises all over his arms and legs. He had a hand on his abdomen and looked like he had just been chased by a bunch of killer dogs. You rushed to help him inside and helped pull his body towards your bathroom sink. You sat him on the counter as you looked through your cabinets for a first aid kit.
The two of you had been...friends before he became Hawk. Well, you wouldn’t exactly call yourself friends, more like acquaintances. You didn't like the people at your school, all there were rich girls and obnoxious boys. So you would find yourself sitting at Eli and Demitri’s table. You never talked, you would just read as they talked to each other about the newest comic. After his transformation to Hawk he had begun to flirt with you all the time. You didn’t think anything of it then, and you still don’t.
“What happened to you this time?” You asked. This wasn’t the first time the all famous Mohawk boy barged into your room and asked you to help stitch him up. You never asked what really happened, not caring about the Karte War that was happening in your town. But ever since he had made amends with Demitri you’ve been curious.
“Thought maybe if I ruff myself up a bit you would kiss me better.” You glared at him, you alway hated when he came inside your home and started to flirt. It was embarrassing, and well you knew it was all just a joke...and you didn’t want it to be.
“In your dreams. Now this is going to sting so don't yell, my parents are downstairs.” You’ve learned from the numerous times he has come here, that he screams when you try to disinfect his cuts. It’s almost gotten you caught a few times.
“They're all done.” He smiled at you as you began to clean up the counter.
“You're my hero now.” He winked at you as you sighed. Your heart is always beating fast every time he says one of his flirtatious lines. But at the same time you knew he said the exact same thing to every girl out there.
“Can you kiss me all better Doc?” He asked as your hand on the towel beside you formed into a fist. How can he just say things like that? Doesn't he know that you don't like it? That you wish you were the only one he said these kinds of stuff to? Was he that much of an idiot?
“Y/n?” He asked softly as he saw your frown and your heavy heart. He never had wanted to hurt you. He really, really liked you more as friends and he wanted the both of you to be together. He never knew you didn’t like his flirting.
“I’m sorry if I offended you.” You both sat in silence, waiting for the other to restart the conversation.
“I really like you Y/n, as more than a friend. I know that you think that I'm just being a flirty idiot but I really like you. I'm dead serious, I want to be with you.” You looked at him but kept your mouth shut. What if he was lying to make you feel better?
“I’m not lying Y/n, I-I think I love you.” You felt tears in your eyes as your breathing softened. He really was being serious. He actually really wanted to be with you! All this time you thought he was just being a jerk, he actually cared for you a lot.
“My parents are probably going to come up and check one me soon...How does 4 at that Taco place down the street on Saturday sound?” You asked as helped him off the counter.
“Like a dream come true Babe.” He winked at you again and you laughed. You helped him walk all the way towards your window.
“Are you sure you're okay? I can sneak you to the front door, it would be easier for you especially because of the cuts you have.” You asked in a worried tone.
“Yah I’m sure. If this taco date works out I'll have to use the window more often.” You blushed furiously as he laughed at your expression. You lightly slapped his chest as he continued to laugh.
“See you at 4.” He gave a quick salute as he began to climb all the way down your window. You watched until he got on his bike and drove off. You wanted to make sure that he was going to be alright. You actually had a chance with him now and you didn’t want to blow it.
As the sound of a motorcycle drove off, you walked towards your bed. You had made sure that there was no blood left on your bathroom counter before relaxing. You still didn’t want your parents finding out. You grabbed your book and flipped to the page you were last on and began to read again. It had looked to see that the Princess and the Villainess Knight had come tougher atlas, in true harmony.

Falling for you
The second installment of my drabble series. Let me know what you think about it. A big thank you again to @fortheloveoffanfic for being my beta 💗 Happy reading everyone
Also here are the songs played at the pub:
Bean Pháidín , Tell me Ma-Gaelic Storm , Galway Girl - Fiddler's Green
Summary: A few weeks later finds the reader in all kinds of embarrassing situations - mostly tripping over stuff or falling over people - right in front of Lee
Warnings: none, besides fluff, clumsiness and a little tinge of jealousy
Words: 2231
Another day on the set of the second installment of the Hobbit series and already you felt like the clumsiest of all people on set. Either you’d slip, trip or let stuff fall to the ground. But it wasn’t random, it only happened whenever you were around Lee or in his close proximity.
James and Martin had made fun of the fact that it would only happen with the tall actor, but you waved them off and of course Benedict chimed into the scheme.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d say you’re falling for the King, luv.” he said one time while the four of you had been granted a break from filming. “You make a fool out of yourself because there’s that one person that makes your heart skip a beat.”
Angrily shuffling your food around the plate, you glared at the British actor. “Well thank you for the vote of confidence. If you hadn’t said it I wouldn’t have known I was such a joke on set.”
“What Ben means to say, dear,” James started, putting his hand on your arm. “is, that when you feel something for another person you get clumsy, do crazy things or fall all over yourself because you can’t concentrate around them. All three of us went through that when we met the women we knew would one day be our wives. It has nothing to do with you being bad at your work, the opposite, actually.”
Reluctantly you nodded your head, feeling like you just made a fool out of yourself again in front of those that were your friends. “I’m sorry, it’s just that I’ve never been like that before and I fear if this happens more Pete will get tired of me messing up. I don’t want to lose this job.”
“You won’t,” Martin said with so much conviction, you couldn’t help but give him a small, teary smile. “Peter isn’t like that. He values your work as part of the crew and how you bring up new ideas or possible changes. Now if you were to set the whole place on fire that would be another case.”
Ben and James laughed softly and you couldn’t help the giggle escaping your lips when you listened to him. You were very lucky to have friends like them or you’d probably would have resigned after the first incident. “Thank you, you have no idea how much I needed this.” you said sending them a grateful smile. "But now I got to head back to work. The king on his throne is waiting for me."
All three laughed before Martin called after you. "Be careful up there and if you fall, fall in his lap, that's a lot more comfortable than the ground." he joked when you had turned back to the three actors but waved him off with your own middle finger. You knew he had a knack for putting his fingers up for the camera when he shouldn't and you were sure there were some scenes he snuck his middle finger in, just like he always did.
A chorus of laughter followed as you righted your work bag and made your way back to the set with Thranduil's throne.
Orlando stood underneath it, grinning up at Lee dressed up as the Elvenking and waited his turn. "Looking good, dad." he called with a chuckle and you could see the tall actor grin.
"Thank you, son. I feel very good up here." he answered leaning back on the chair, trying to fix his robes and wig as best as he could while a few strands were hanging in the branches of his crown.
Peter saw you emerging from the mass and called you over. "Ah, Y/N, good that you're here. Lee's just had a bit of a stumble up the stairs but we'll be doing a few headshots of him and well, you see the mess."
"Sure, I'll get right on it." you told him, taking a deep breath and steeling yourself so you'd be as relaxed as possible while working on fixing the actor. When he saw you approaching, Lee stood up and made to walk down, but you halted him with a motion of your hand. "Stay, I'm coming up so there's no repeat of that."
He stayed standing, watching you make your way up the stairs. Thank God there were handrails just in case. "If you insist
I could have come down, didn't want you to fall to your doom, dear mortal."
"Charms get you everywhere, huh?" you asked him with a grin as you ascended to the Weta built throne, pointing to the seat so he would sit back down again, keeping his long legs tugged to chair so you could start your work on his hair.
"So far it worked out rather well, I think." He told you, smiling as you gently pulled a strand away from the branch of his crown.
You couldn't help the small smile forming on your face as you listened to his jokes while you freed the last of his hair and righted his crown. A final touch of powder over his nose and you were finished. "Now, you're all done and you're looking regal again." You packed up your bag and turned to descend the stairs when you lost your footing and if it hadn't been for Lee's swift reaction, you would have tumbled down.
Short puffs of breath were leaving your mouth when you held on tightly to his shoulders, his arms circling your waist as you had fallen into his lap with that move. "Hello there." he whispered, watching your shocked face, eyes blown wide with fear. "You okay?"
Biting your lip, you couldn't help but enjoy the feel of his hands on your hip, the warmth spreading through your clothes. "I-I'm sorry, I, the stairs…I guess…missed steps." you brokenly mumbled, apparently having forgotten how to talk when you looked into his blue eyes. The contact lenses only intensified his gaze.
"Yeah, they're dangerous." Lee agreed, his head leaning closer, the rest of the world around you forgotten.
Yet before he could close the gap, Peter interrupted you with a loud whistle. "If you two turtledoves are ready, we'd like to continue." he called out to you with a chuckle. Of course everyone had seen that and you already felt the heat of your blush rising all over your body.
Carefully, yet hastily you scrambled off of Lee's lap and made your way down the stairs and to the back of the set. You would have loved for the ground to swallow you up when Benedict had come over and grinned at you.
"So, I don’t think you will tell me what that up there was.” he said matter of fact, knowing you wouldn’t even be able to describe it.
“Nope,” you said, eyeing the actor and PJ going over the next scenes with a dummy. “I’d rather leave it like it is. This is just too embarrassing."
He put his arm around your shoulders pulling you close. Martin was just walking around the corner having seen the whole thing and he instantly knew you'd be shutting down, only doing your work and nothing more, keeping your distance from Lee. The Brit found the eyes of his friend and co-Sherlock-actor, nodding once, then twice. They were your friends and could see that the sparks between their fellow actor and you were there, now they only needed to kindle the fire.
"Oh, this is wonderful." you gushed, looking around the Irish pub everyone decided to visit at the eve of their day off. "It's been too long since I had so much fun besides being on set."
Already the ciders and beers and whisky were flowing and everyone was laughing and singing with the band that played that night. James had decided to take a row of tables next to the musicians so the cast and crew that wanted to go there would fit into the seats.
"You all deserve a time off after the amazing work you did." Peter said, raising his pint of Guinness for a toast. You all followed suit, calling out a shout of "Hear, hear."
Laughing and listening to all the stories everyone was telling about their time on set, you enjoyed the feeling of warmth that spread through you. Not because of the alcohol but because of your family away from home.
"Are you enjoying the music?" James asked after a short while, himself listening to the tunes and words from his home country.
Nodding your head, you clapped your hands to the rhythm and smiled as a few people started to dance to the songs you couldn't understand the lyrics to. “What is she singing about?” you asked him, leaning in so he could understand the words with the louder music.
"It’s a really old Irish song, dating back hundreds of years in Ireland. This is one of the funny old Irish songs that is sung by a woman, and she sings about another woman." the Irish actor tried to explain over the loud music. "Back in the day women would get together and sing this song about the woman in town that was married to the man that they all wanted to be married to. ‘It’s a pity that I’m not Phaidin’s wife,’ and this woman who’s married to him, they hate her, and as the verses go on, they talk about what they’d like to do to her, like they want to break her legs and get rid of her and do anything to be this man’s wife. It’s a fun song. Irish music is like that. When you translate the words, sometimes it’s like gruesome and dark, but they’re meant in a lighthearted way."
You were always blown away by the way such a story could be shown in a nice tune. "The music is so lively, you'd never guess it's such a sad and dark story behind it."
"That's just the way the Irish are." James grinned at you before another song was starting.
"For our next song we'd love for you guys to get up, dance some more and just have fun." the female singer announced and waved to all patrons in the pub. The violin, banjo and drum began to play the first chords before the singer joined in. "Tell me ma when I go home, the boys won't leave the girls alone."
Benedict and James smiled at you, holding their hand out and pulled you from your seat and onto the provided dance floor where others had already started twirling around. "Let's dance and have some fun." the Brit said, giving you a twirl.
You couldn't help the smile that found its way on your lips as you danced around with the two actors, unbeknownst of the dark blue eyes following your moves. The dance was exhilarating and both James and Ben led you through the steps, jumping and twirling with other patrons until you were out of breath and another song was over.
When you came back to get something to drink you saw one of the seats being vacant. Lee was missing from the group of merry friends and you leaned over to Orlando, who had been sitting besides him. "Where did your dad disappear to?" you asked him, mirth coloring your words as you took a large sip of your drink.
He turned to you and smiled, patting the seat next to him, so you didn't have to stand. You were grateful for that with your feet aching from all the dancing you did with his fellow actors. "He said he needed to get back to the hotel, his flight back to the States is taking off early." Orlando said and your face must have shown your confusion as you didn't know Lee was needed back in America. "Shooting for Guardians of the Galaxy is starting in a few days and he wanted to get back earlier so he arranged it in the last few days. Peter knew about it, I'm surprised he didn't tell you."
"Oh, no, I really didn't know and Lee hadn't mentioned anything before." the disappointment colored your words and you sank back down in your seat. You couldn't help the feeling that it was something that recently happened and especially something you did or he would have been open enough to talk to you.
The British actor patted your leg and grinned. "Don't worry, he'll be back before you know it. Once he's done with that movie Lee's going to annoy us again with his dad jokes."
Nodding your head, you tried to feel confident, but still you didn't know why he didn't at least wait until you were back at the table to say his goodbyes. No he just left without so much as a word. Of course you were only there doing his make - up and hair but you had hoped that in the time you worked together you at least had become friends. Giving the dark haired actor a small smile you made your way back to your corner seat, staring off into space and trying not to get too drunk on your cider while thinking about why not even Peter had bothered to tell you his Elvenking was leaving the set sooner than planned.

"No matter what I'll always come after you" for Vesper?
Okay, this, as usual, ran away from me to the tune of 2300 words, but I’m not complaining. (It does touch on game events, including the end, just so anyone wanting to avoid spoilers is aware)
----
Most children threatened to run away from home at least once. Vesper just hadn’t expected Constantin--of all people--to make good on it. (Though maybe she should’ve.) While her mother and uncle debated where he might have gone and organized searches for the palace and city proper, Vesper snuck out a side door and headed in the opposite direction, toward the meadow where they’d picnicked few days ago. Constantin had wanted to explore more, but their governess wouldn’t let him. If he was feeling defiant enough to make good on running away, she’d bet he went back there.
And the deep footprints in the riverbank mud bore out her theory. He proved easy to find once she had his trail, headed straight for a patch of woods, though she found him more from the yelp than his trail.
A yelp that presaged his falling from the tree he’d been trying to climb.
“Constantin!” Vesper lunged forward to catch him, but thanks to the limits of ten year old legs, only sort-of managed to break his fall. (Whenever her growth spurt wanted to show up would be fine by her.) “Are you alright?!”
“What’re you doing here?” Constantin demanded instead of answering. He looked alright, if dirty and still petulant.
“Looking for you,” Vesper retorted, nudging him off so they could both sit up. “We were worried-”
“I’m not going back,” he interrupted sulkily, poking the dirt with a stick. “I’m sick of sums. And behaving myself.”
“I can tell,” she teased, brushing dirt off the knee of his breeches. “But our parents are worried sick, and I feel like the longer it takes to find you, the more trouble you’ll be in.”
Constantin jabbed the stick more viciously into the ground at the base of an ant hill, and was silent a long moment before nodding. “...Fine.”
Vesper helped him to his feet, brushed more dirt off his clothes. There was nothing that could be done about the scrape on his forearm, or the ripped sleeve that hung around it, however.
They were halfway home before he took her hand and mumbled a slightly grudging, “Thanks for coming after me.”
Vesper smiled. “Always.”
----
Raised voices had become so commonplace in the family portions of the house, Vesper barely batted an eye at the muffled strains of the Prince in contention with someone yet again. She knew who it likely was even before hearing Constantin’s protesting retort. She knew how this would go, too, and finished the current page of her book, setting it aside with a sigh.
As usual, her uncle’s voice rose in both volume and quantity of words until she could almost make out the words of his tirade from three rooms down the hall. As usual, there was a long, rebellious pause, then Constantin’s voice so low she barely picked up the murmur of it, then a slammed door. As usual, Vesper counted to twenty, then went after him. As usual, he was on the balcony that looked toward the harbor, sitting on the ground with his back against the wall.
“Should have known you’d come after me, with a row like that,” Constantin said without looking.
“Always,” Vesper said lightly. “You alright?”
He shrugged, gaze fixed toward the horizon.
She waited him out, knowing the words would come.
“It’s never good enough for him,” Constantin finally spat. “I’m never good enough. Everything I do, Ves. It’s always just a little wrong, or falls just a little short, or a little too embarrassing, or I’m a disgrace to the family name! He’s never happy!”
“He does ask a lot from you,” Vesper agreed softly, because it was true. Knowing her uncle had reasons for his high standards--the family’s position, Constantin being his heir--didn’t negate how impossibly high the bar seemed some days.
Especially with it being set for Constantin. Who liked to flirt with the wrong people and fight with the wrong people and never really could seem to hold his tongue.
But he didn’t need censure or critique now, not from her, he needed a listening ear. So that’s what she did. She listened. She sympathized. And she let him calm down from the heights of ranting before she even suggested heading back inside.
She was stiff from sitting on the ground so long, but seeing him smile again was worth it.
----
The air around the tavern stank of cheap beer and vomit, which was better than most nights. Vesper wrinkled her nose and tried to ignore it. Damn Constantin for choosing this one, though he’d likely done so banking on the knowledge she’d be reluctant to follow him here alone. Unfortunately for him, if that had been his thought process, it hadn’t taken much to convince Kurt to come with her. (It may have involved the words ‘I’m going regardless’ from her, and grousing from Kurt, but she knew, despite his grumbling, he liked her and Constantin more than he’d admit. Hence him following her to four other taverns before this one.)
They’d barely taken two steps inside when the unmistakable sound of Constantin singing reached their ears, and Vesper groaned.
“I won’t tell the prince where we found him if you don’t,” Kurt muttered behind her.
Vesper’s mouth twisted in a wry smile. “Oh, my lips are sealed, it’s his I’m worried about.”
Kurt just grunted in response to that, and the two of them made their way through the crowd until they found her wayward cousin.
“Vesper!” Constantin grinned when he saw her. Not drunk yet, but on the way. “Didn’t think you liked places like this, cousin.” He gestured broadly at the surroundings, sloshing his drink over the table. Well on the way to drunk, then.
She forced a smile. “Oh, but you know I’ll always come after you, dear cousin, no matter what it takes.” Even visiting shady taverns our parents would kill the both of us for patronizing.
He laughed and took a deep drink before slouching back in the chair. “Are y’ here to join me or drag me home?”
“The latter, I’m afraid,” Vesper said lightly. Her uncle was on his way home from some diplomatic summit and would be in a foul temper if his son was missing upon returning. She needed to get Constantin home and sleeping off this afternoon’s escapades. “Though I do hope there will be no actual dragging involved.”
Constantin’s gaze flicked to where Kurt stood behind her, arms crossed, and grinned again. “Backup, Vesper? Worried you can’t corral me on your own anymore?”
His tone was playful, but she knew how swiftly that could change when he was in a mood, and she chose her words accordingly. “Two pairs of eyes are better than one, and it is part of his job to watch out for us. I was worried, cousin. You’ve been gone most of the day.” She left off they’d been looking for him almost half of that time.
“Afraid I got kidnapped or broke my neck?” Constantin teased, taking another drink.
“Among other fates," Vesper said with an easy laugh. Both of those are actual possibilities with you. “You know I have a vivid imagination.”
He laughed as well, loud and tipsy, and leaned forward to clumsily pat her hand. “As you can see, I’m fine, dear cousin.”
“Yes, it does appear you had an enjoyable afternoon,” she agreed, deciding she didn’t want to know the origin of the stains on his shirt and coat. Or where his hat ended up. (If he had even worn one.) “My mother’s fretting herself silly about you, though, Constantin, what say we head home and put her mind at ease?”
He took long enough to answer she was afraid he’d dig in his heels and she’d have to have Kurt yank him out of the chair. But he rolled his eyes and pushed the nearly-empty tankard across the table. “Oh, fine. Wouldn’t do to have my beloved auntie worrying herself sick.”
He stumbled getting to his feet, and Kurt grabbed his arm to keep him upright.
“Thank you,” Constantin slurred, leaning against him heavily. (He’d been closer to drunk than she thought, apparently.)
“Just doin’ my job,” Kurt said with a grunt, accepting the inevitable and tugging Constantin’s arm around his shoulders as they headed for the door. He shot Vesper a look she’d almost call impressed. “Nice going. You’ve got a way with words.”
Vesper bit back a laugh as she pushed open the door. “Thank you. I have to counter my abysmal showing with a blade somehow.”
Kurt chuckled, and she caught the faint flash of a smile before he bit it back. “You’re still learning, Green Blood. Give it time.”
“That does help with a lot,” she said, glancing at her thoroughly inebriated cousin. Hopefully time would help smooth away some of his more worrisome habits.
At the very least, though, it would help with his hangover.
----
One thing that came in handy, with how often Vesper found herself in these scenarios, Constantin was loud. He was loud when he was celebrating, loud when he was complaining, and he was loud now.
Vesper could hear him hollering demands and derisions at his captors well before she and Kurt reached the warehouse where he was being held.
“D’you think there’s any chance of this becoming a less frequent occurrence when we reach the island?” she asked as she scanned the building for discreet ways in.
Kurt pressed his lips together--whether biting back a smile at her question or annoyance at her cousin, she couldn’t tell--and shrugged. “Only time will tell, I suppose.”
Vesper bobbed her head to concur with his assessment and resumed searching for a way in. Fortunately, it proved easier than anticipated to sneak inside the building. She’d rather not incite a brawl just before leaving Sérène. It was equally easy to follow Constantin’s yelling to the room serving as his makeshift cell.
“Constantin, shhh!” Vesper hissed against the keyhole.
There was silence, then, slightly quieter and much more effusive, “Ah, cousin, there you are! I knew you’d show!”
“We can’t leave without you, Governor D’Orsay,” Vesper reminded him as she examined the lock. “And you know I’d come after you anyway.”
“Always.” There was a grin in Constantin’s voice. “If you’re looking for the key, I believe one of the rapscallions mentioned a desk?”
That was indeed its hiding place. And she found his effects in the trunk beside it to boot. Her cousin was almost giddy as he burst from the small room the moment the key turned in the lock.
“That’s more like it!” he crowed, clapping her on the back and nodding toward Kurt. “Thank you ever so much for the rescue, dearest cousin and loyal Captain. Now” --he snatched his hat from pile in Vesper’s arms-- “let’s go have an adventure, shall we?”
She schooled away a smile at his enthusiasm and held his coat out of reach. “Constantin? Remember how we discussed Teer Fradee being an opportunity for a fresh start? Please endeavor to keep that in mind.”
“Yes, of course, dear cousin.” He darted forward to grab his coat and she let him have it. He pulled it on and whirled around with a flourish. “We shouldn’t keep them waiting.”
Vesper shook her head and smiled as she tugged him toward the route she and Kurt had used to enter. While somehow Constantin’s enthusiasm managed to make more noise than Kurt’s armor, they did make it back out unchallenged. She grabbed Constantin’s arm to tug him toward where Captain Vasco waited.
Her cousin was right about one thing--they’d delayed long enough.
---
The winged form of the High King came crashing to the ground with her second to last round through his throat. Vesper ignored the still twitching body. Kurt or Sìora could check he was actually dead, she only cared about Constantin.
Her saber clattered against the stony ground as she lunged toward the half-constructed cairn around her cousin and started pulling it apart with her bare hands. Once free enough, Constantin slumped limply against her chest and Vesper held him close.
“...Vesper?” he mumbled, barely audible, through lips chapped and scarred by the malichor and heaven only knew what else.
“I’m here,” she said, voice shaking with relief they gotten here in time. “I come after you no matter what, remember?”
There was no reply, the weight of him heavy against her chest, but she could still feel him breathing.
“Hold on, cousin,” she murmured. He was so quiet, so still. They needed to get him to a healer.
There was a hand on her shoulder and Kurt crouched next to her. “Green Blood.”
Because it was Kurt, Vesper didn’t try to hide the lingering worry in her eyes as she released her hold on Constantin so Kurt could take him for the journey down the mountain.
She tried not to let King Vinbarr’s words echo too loudly in her head as she and Sìora followed, tried not to let the foreboding take root, but the sheer desperation in the man’s voice still left a seed.
“He will be the end of us all!”
---
The trek up through Anemhaid was made all the more difficult by the heartsick dread steadily building in her chest, but Vesper made it. Alone; her companions stayed to help their people, and her heart was stuck at the bottom of the mountain. (Don’t be a hero, she’d said, knowing full well he would anyway because he couldn’t help himself, knowing she’d have to do the same.)
She didn’t want to be here, didn’t want to be doing this.
She finally slowed as she reached the main cavern, saw her cousin’s familiar silhouette.
“Vesper.” Constaintin almost smiled as he turned. “I knew you’d come.”
“Of course I did, cousin.” Vesper swallowed hard, chest tight, and rested one hand on the hilt of her pistol. She hoped against hope she wouldn’t need it, but the dreadful knot in her gut and strange glow in his eyes promised she would. “No matter what, I always come after you.”

“Where are you going?”
Suddenly stopping your steps halfway over the ramp, you can feel Mando's curiosity through the modulator. Although you can't see his face and he doesn't need to move his head to study you from top to bottom, you can notice his helmet slightly shifting. It's the first time you abandon the Razor Crest —to accompany him to civilization— since he rescued you from Trask, a few months ago.
You were sold by your parents to a Quarren like a pet. He had you slaved for years, confined in a joint for the ones of his same race. He forced you to be kind, to be pleasant, and to dance for them, as if you were part of a show for their simple delight. Until Mando found you by casualty. At first, he just set you free. He didn't ask questions, he didn't care about what you were going to do, nor about where you were going to go. But that little thing —his son, apparently—, he was bringing inside a camel color bag everywhere, got attached to you for some unknown reason.
He hasn't been a man of many words since you know him, and he wasn't really in agreement with you joining their adventures, but your silent company began to be something positive for him when he started to trust in you.
“To Nevarro”. Your reply doesn't play hard to get, about taking another step.
Even if the beskar covers his shoulders, you can see how they get tensed by your response. He doesn't like that idea, he prefers you to stay in the Razor, but he also knows you're decided to follow him. You need to see what's around you. You're prepared. He has trained you from time to time, so you know how to defend yourself and how to fire the blaster hanging on your waist. Mando doesn't have to worry about you, as a matter of fact.
The child emits something similar to a happy giggle, being in accordance with your decision, drawing your attention towards him.
“Fine”. He reluctantly grants. “Stay behind me, and stay close”.
Two simple commands you can obey for your good.
The road to the city is silent, but not the kind of comfortable silence you're used to. You could cut the tension with your knife and you aren't sure why he is so worried —you'd understand it if you hadn't learned anything about self-defense.
While he attends his meeting, you're sitting at the next table with the child, trying to eat some kind of dense soup that spoils your appetite more than give you the desire to ask for another one. Putting apart the bowl from your sight, you can't help but raise your eyes to the corner of your right. Humans laugh. Your pupils dilate at a group of people like you. Among the crowd inside the place, full of different races, you see them. It's the first time in years that you cross with someone of your same kind and you must've breathed too loudly for a second because you have called Mando's attention.
Fastly putting your gaze away, somewhere over the bar, you try to dissimulate the anxiety for talking to them about anything, just talk. You know you can do it, not because of him, but because of your lack of social skills. After this uncomfortable moment, the bounty hunter is compelled to finish his reunion. He knew it wasn't a good idea, but for the wrong reasons. When he tells you that you're coming back to the ship, you don't go against it, standing up under the attentive look from one of the humans. A man older than you, who isn't able to put his emerald-green eyes away from you, when you walk closer with the child clung to your chest. Mando notices it, not swallowing a threatening grunt towards his table, and causing you some shivers. What has been that?
Back in the Razor Crest, you feel tiny. You have that same feeling stuck within your heart as when you were handcuffed in Trask. He hasn't said anything. He normally explains to you his new mission —your new adventure—, not going into many details, but this time he has just remained a holy silence that is killing you.
“I'm sorry”. These two words have been dancing through your head since you have jumped to cyberspace.
Mando turns around his seat towards yours at his right, tilting his helmet a little disconcerted. Stretching a hand over himself, pressing a couple of buttons before pushing forward a lever, he rests both gloved palms on his thighs. “We speak the same language, but I don't follow you”.
As you continue feeling more and more little under his gaze covered by the grey helmet, you sigh closing your eyes for a second trying to remember what you used to say the few times you disrespected a Quarren. It's not like you don't feel it, but you don't know what else to say. He is still staring at you waiting for a reply, or anything actually when you open your eyes again.
“I will… stay on the Razor next time”.
As soon as he understands, he turns his seat completely to you. “You can leave whenever you want. You're not my prisoner, and I'm not your master”.
For some reason, his words hurt you like a shot straight to your chest. And he must have noticed it by the down-hearted way you have to lick your lips, nodding with your chin just one time, before getting up to abandon the cockpit quietly. It wasn't what you wanted to hear. You were expecting some comfort words, but what you have obtained is an invitation to go. And you're having the strong desire to accept it, now aware that your company doesn't mean the same that his company means for you.
Grabbing a dusty bag from a compartment, you pick up the few things you have. Some clothes and a small cushion to sleep. Holding the tears by closing your eyelids, you drag your back down against the cold wall to the floor, sitting next to a big iron box —with who-knows-what inside it. Flexing your knees towards your chest, you wrap your legs with both arms, resting your cheek on them. You don't know where the Razor is going, but you have decided to stay on that planet.
Mando's heavy steps going downstairs provoking a metallic noise make you turn your back towards him, resting it against the box and trying to not continue sobbing. But, although he's pretending to replenish ammo, you can feel him looking at you sideways under his armor. And you hear him exhale slowly, closing the gun cabinet and bowing his head a few inches with pure resignation. Immediately as he swings to your position, you clean the tears wetting your cheeks with the back of your hands. The last thing you want right now is to give him the pleasure of letting him know he has made you cry.
“It wasn't my inten—”.
“I don't care”. You cut him off, resting your chin on one of your knees, turning your face away from his. “You don't have long to worry about me. I'll stay on your next stop”.
Mando continues in silence, feeling lucky you can't watch his hands closing into two furious fists. He didn't mean to talk to you like he has done, he didn't choose the correct words to say and he doesn't know how to fix it. How to fix you. If he only could tell you he was jealous because of your reaction to looking at other humans not in the same way you look at him, he would tell it to you. And for the first time since he was recruited by the Mandalorians, he needs to show his face to someone —to you. He wants to try to explain how he really feels with his eyes, conscious that there isn't enough vocabulary in your language to express it.
Mando can't ask you to stay, he doesn't have the right. Certainly not after what you have been through all these past years. But he wants to. He wants to do it. He wants to ask you to stay by his side.
“Din”.
The word with unknown sense falls from his lip across the modulator. You tilt your head in confusion, doing your best to read the most imperceptible gestures of his body under the beskar. His chest rises and falls a little more rapidly than normal. His hands are hidden under his cape, behind his rigid back. But there's no tension covering his whole anatomy. It's remorse what you're receiving from him. A sensation you had forgotten.
“My name is Din”.
A heavy feeling within your belly takes you over, impulsing you to stand up on your feet. Your eyes are somewhat widened because of the unexpected approach.
“You can… stay with us, as long as you want”. He whispers trying to relax his posture and don't feel vulnerable.
And with that said, he takes you aback a little more when you watch him bring his hands to the front, about to do something with them. For a moment, you guess he's going to clap to wrap things up, but what he does causes you to part your lips breathing through them in surprise. With the help of his left fingers, he ungloves his right hand to offer it to you. You're so absent fixated on his skin, as if it has hypnotized you, that it takes you some second to realize he wants you to shake it like a formal introduction.
As soon as your hands get in touch, you have to gulp a soft gasp. A shiver warms your body urging you to take a step closer to Din, invading his personal space, although he doesn't seem disgusted with the idea. Now, you comprehend it. You know what has been running through his mind since you came back to the Razor. You can smell the light jealousy, even the desire he was carrying since the meeting. He grunted to the man because he was envious of him and the way you were looking at him.
So you are somewhat pleased he has made the effort to discover himself without disrespecting or disobeying the Mandalorian creed, only to make you feel better.
“I wanna stay”.
Mando doesn't speak, but by the way the fabric of his cape shifts around his neck you can perceive his lips curving in a smile, as his throat gets relaxed under the piece of clothing. Covering his hand again with the glove, he points with a gesture of his helmet to upstairs to the cockpit.
“I'll be up there if you need me. You should rest”.
Pressing your lips, you nod in agreement as the door of the compartment is opened by the child. You haven't let him sleep and now it's your moment to sing him another lullaby.

Follow You.
One Shot: Loki x Reader.
Prompt: You only see colours when you are in love... or not.
Word Count: 1686.
Warnings: language and fight.
You sighed tiredly you couldn't feel your body, you were sore and you wanted to finish training right there and then.
"C'mon, HYDRA won't give you much time to recover," Bucky hissed.
"Can you calm down for a second?" you asked, tiredly.
"Stand. UP." Bucky snarled.
"God, you're impossible," you cried.
Bucky launched himself into you and you avoided his fists, you jumped and flipped around kicking and punching, Bucky avoided each of your movements. You growled slamming hard into his chest with your knee, he fell back and stood to hit you, you jumped and punched, he stopped your hands and you fell back. You growled and kicked him doing a flip which ended with you flying across the room when Bucky grabbed your leg and launched you away. Your side hurt and you let out a cry.
"Ouch," you heard across the room. Steve and Sam watching.
"I can't," you cried, sore and tired.
"Stand up," Bucky snarled, walking to you.
"Bucky, I can't," you object.
"STAND UP," he shouted.
You cried, tears filling your eyes but stood up, you prepared yourself to be kicked again.
"Enough," Loki snarled, behind you. You jumped and let yourself fall on your ass. Loki appeared out of nowhere and stopped Bucky.
"She needs to train," Bucky said.
"She's done," Loki replied, helping you stand.
"You're not her mentor," Bucky spat.
Loki smiled sweetly at you and murmured a low "wait", he kissed your forehead softly and spun around punching Bucky straight in the face and made him fall a few feet away.
"Loki!" you shouted, shocked.
"Son of a bitch!" Bucky growled, rushing to hit him back but Sam and Steve stopped him.
"Hey, hey," Sam said.
"We are not doing this," Steve tried to calm them down.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" Bucky growled, pissed off.
"You need to rest," Loki murmured to you. He carried you away and you gave Bucky, Sam and Steve an apologetic look. Ever since Bucky rejected you a year ago Loki has been protective of you. You were close friends, besties you always said. Loki supported and helped you as much as he could and he even started joining your team on missions. The last mission didn't go well, Bucky and you argued and you ended bleeding. Bucky was a good friend and you knew at some point he had a crush on you. You heard him that's why when he rejected you it hurt but you decided to let it go.
Now, looking at Loki adding bath salts and a bath bomb in the tube made you smile. You liked Loki more than you should but you wouldn't say a thing. Loki had made clear he would never be with a Midgardian.
"You shouldn't have punched him," you murmured.
"He is a dick," Loki growled.
"Don't be too harsh on him," you whispered, stroking his arm.
"He broke your heart," Loki hissed, clearly upset.
"That was long ago," you murmured, "plus, I forgave him," you added.
"Have your bath," Loki said, "I'll come back with dinner, you need to rest,"
He left you alone and you relaxed in the hot water. He even added your essentials oils, he cared. You thought about the nights you spent with Loki. The date nights around downtown, the cinema nights, the watching the stars night, karaoke nights, walk in the park and sit with hot chocolate in your hands. God, you loved Loki, endlessly.
"He didn't mean to hurt you," Steve said, sweetly.
"I know," you smiled, "Loki can be cutthroat sometimes," you murmured.
"Loki wants to protect you," Steve added.
"He punched Bucky," you said.
"80 times," Steve smirked and you laughed.
"He said Bucky broke my heart so he wants to break his limps," you joked.
"And I would help him," Steve joked. You smiled. "Loki loves you,"
"Steve, don't," you murmured.
"Listen for a second," Steve said.
"I know what you want to say but it's not real," you interrupted.
"Loki," Steve said.
"Yes?" Loki asked, from the door.
"Loki!" you called. Loki walked to your bedside and left a package on your lap. You opened the package and smiled, more books, "thank you,"
"You mentioned you wanted them," Loki murmured.
You nodded and you caught a glimpse of Steve smiling suggestively, you rolled your eyes.
"Loki," Steve said, "A friend asked if you wanted to join dinner with us?"
"No," Loki answered.
"You sure?" Steve continued, "She's the blonde..."
Loki cut him off, "No," he focused on you, "Anything else you need?"
"Sweetcheeks is coming, too," Steve added. Loki inspected you for a second.
"Okay," Loki said, "I will take you to the place,"
"But," you murmured.
"But nothing," Steve added, "I'll see you the location,".
You bounced from one leg to another, you waited for Loki in the living room. Barton has already joked about the two of you and you knew he was trying to contact Tony.
"Wow," you heard Sam behind you.
"Sam!" you smiled.
"You look amazing," Sam said, making you spun around.
"Thank you," you murmured, shyly. Wanda picked the outfit for you. A jean black dress, converse and a dark green and gold coat. "Are you coming?"
"Oh," Sam murmured, "I'll see you there, got to pick up flowers," he half grinned.
"Let's go," Loki said, fixing his watch. Your mouth fell open, he wore black tux trousers hugging his long legs, a white shirt, a black tie and a leather jacket, perfectly polished shoes.
"Damn," Sam murmured.
"Let's... let's go," you babbled.
Loki opened your car door and you walked into the nice restaurant. He gave Steve's name and the waiter walked you to your seats. A table for two.
"But Steve..." you murmured.
"Ah," Loki sighed, checking his phone, "Rogers had to cancel, the ladies weren't feeling alright,"
"All of them?" you asked, unamused.
"He said we left early so they didn't want to ruin our night," Loki added.
You nodded at him and ordered some wine. You waited for your food while Loki went quickly to the restroom. You texted Steve telling him you would kill him if you caught a glimpse of him. He laughed and said you would thank him later.
Whatever Steve had in mind did not happen. You stormed in the living room to your quarters while Loki shouted behind you.
"What happened?" Steve asked, confused.
"Hey doll," Bucky asked, following you.
"Barnes if you touch her," Loki spat.
"Go to hell, Loki!" you yelled from the hall.
Loki growled and sat angrily on the sofa. Sam and Steve observed him and waited for him to explain what happened.
"None of your business," Loki snarled.
"We haven't said anything," Sam hissed back.
"Steve is thinking too loud," Loki growled, his body tense and he sighed.
"I'll check on her," Steve added. Sam nodded and he waited for Loki.
"But what happened?" Bucky asked, concerned.
"Loki is an ass," you growled.
"But why?" Bucky asked, again.
You denied tears filled your eyes rage taking over you, "I hate him,"
"Doll," Bucky tried to get closer.
"He said men don't find me attractive," you spat.
"What?" Bucky paled.
"What happened?" Steve walked in, checked you and sat in your bed.
"You and your stupid ideas!" you shouted.
"What did I do?" Steve asked.
"Loki," you murmured, you denied and you fell on your knees and cried.
"Oh no," Steve murmured rushing to you. He tried to calm you down and Bucky didn't know what to do.
"He didn't mean to," Steve murmured.
"Ha," you laughed, "Why whenever any man hurts me you say they don't mean to?" you spat angrily. Bucky gulped remembering a year ago, back when he did the stupidest thing ever.
"It's Loki," Steve murmured, "he follows you around,"
"He doesn't even see me as a FRIEND," you laughed, hurt.
"Loki..." Steve tried to speak.
"I love you," Loki said standing in the door.
"You don't," you babbled, confuse and hurt.
"I follow you around," Loki said, "I do whatever you do, I chase you, I do whatever you need or you wish, I do my best to make you happy," he added.
"Loki," you murmured, "If you think for a single second you can play with..." Bucky punched Loki in the face and you screamed in horror.
"You hurt her," Bucky snarled.
"You hurt her first!" Loki yelled back, ready to fight back.
"Stop, you morons!" Steve yelled.
"Get out!" you yelled, "All of you!"
"I love you," Loki said, "And I mean every word," he walked to you and kissed your forehead. He walked out alongside Steve and Bucky.
"Steve," you stopped him.
"He is not lying," Steve murmured when they left.
"What am I going to do?" you murmured.
"What do you mean?" Steve asked.
"I saw his colours," you babbled.
"He stopped hiding them from you," Steve smiled.
"Bucky," you whispered. Steve paled.
"What?" he asked.
"Both," you babbled, "Bucky and Loki have mixed colours,"
"Oh God," Steve murmured, "do you think?"
"Loki," you babbled.
"Why did you do it?" you murmured.
"I don't know," Loki murmured, "I guess I wasn't thinking,"
"You knew I liked him," you whispered.
"I thought I was only hiding mine," Loki rasped.
"Bucky," you sighed.
"I'm sorry I took him from you," Loki murmured. You could hear the sincerity in his voice.
"Do you mean it?" you asked, you looked at the stars above you.
"I think everyone knows I follow you," Loki laughed, softly.
"But.." you murmured. His lips crashed into yours and he kissed you softly as if the kiss would break you.
"You, it's always been you," Loki whispered slightly apart from you. You starred into his eyes you felt relief and then you saw them. The explosion of colours in his eyes, in his chest, in his brain, in his heart, in his soul. The colours that you saw in Wanda and Vision. Tony and Pepper. Thor and his pop-tarts.
"Colours," you babbled.
"I see them, too," Loki murmured and kissed you again.

The warm morning sunshine was the first thing you felt as you woke from your sleep. The bright light stung your rested eyes but with a few blinks it was manageable.
Looking over at your bedside table, the digital clock read seven sixteen. You had wanted to set the alarm to wake up earlier, but Michael always complained that the sound it made was annoying and gave him headaches.
So you had to learn to wake up early so Michael could get his beauty sleep, not that he really needed it.
Said blonde was still fast asleep on his back, arms on each side of his head and soft pink lips slightly parted as he took shallow breaths. His long eyelashes fluttering ever so gently on his cheeks as he dreamed, something good you hoped.
He was dressed in the red silk pajama suit you picked out for him last night, the first three buttons of the top undone which exposed the smooth skin of his chest.
He was so beautiful, unlike most men he was soft and loved to be taken cared of. There was nothing anyone could say or do that could make you any less in love with him, and he loved you just as much.
You protected him and never judged him for the way he was like those in his past had. They were so focused on what he was and what he was destined to do, that they never stopped to ask him who he really was outside of his father's dark shadow.
As you watched him sleep a fond smile crept across your lips, you leaned over the blonde and gently kissed the top of his exposed chest.
"Michael, it's time to wake up." You whispered placing another kiss just above the previous one.
You felt him stir and let out a soft groan as you began to kiss his neck.
"Five more minutes." You chuckled at how childish his whine was.
"Come on puppy, it's time to get up." You watched as his eyes fluttered open, ocean eyes seemed to almost glow as the sunlight hit them.
"Morning.." He greeted with a smile. You reached out you brush a few strands away from his face, enjoying the smoothness of his skin and the happiness in his eyes.
"Did you sleep well?"
"I dreamt about you. We were at the bottom of a clear blue ocean. I was lying on your lap, you were humming a song and running your fingers through my hair as I fell asleep. It was beautiful, peaceful."
He always had such strange dreams. Sometimes he had nightmares that were so vivid even you got chills whenever he'd talk about them, but you always loved the ones he got that made him smile in the morning.
"Your too cute for your own good sometimes you know that?" You kissed him and got out of bed to stretch your arms above your head to rid your body of any excess tiredness.
The grey T-shirt you wore to bed lifted as you did, exposing your upper thighs and ass which Michael gawked when he sat up. He couldn't help but think how sexy you looked wearing his shirt and nothing else.
Your skin always had a sort of glow when the sun washed over you. Every curve, your hips, your breasts, your long legs, your natural hair that framed your face made you look like a goddess in his eyes.
He'd never thought that after everything that went went in his life, all the blood and bad choices that he would find redemption and safety in the shape of you.
You were the first person to treat him like an actual human being with feelings and emotions instead of just the antichrist that was destined to destroy the world and remake it in his father's image. That part of him died the moment he gave himself to you.
"Are you going to stare at me all day, or are you gonna' get up and get ready pup?" Blush dusted his cheeks and he averted his eyes to stop from staring. He got out of bed and helped fixed the bedding before joining you in the shower.
After that you guided him downstairs to the kitchen and began to make a healthy breakfast for the both of you, while Michael sat at the counter and watched you.
French toast, eggs, sausages and a pot of freshly made lemongrass tea was on the menu and you took pride in the fact that you only took twenty minutes to make everything.
"So what do you want to do today pup?" You asked serving him his share. Since you didn't have to go into work on Saturdays, you always let Michael choose how you'd spend the day together. You owned your own business and it took up alot of your time, so you dedicated a day just for Michael since he hardly gets to have you for himself.
"I was thinking we could go to the park today, the weather's nice maybe we can have a picnic?"
"That sound like a g-" The loud ringing of your cellphone cut off the conversation and drew you away from the kitchen counter to retrieve your phone from upstairs.
Apparently one of your employees made an error at work and they needed your help to fix it before it caused problems for the software. You inquired about the error and thanked the heavens it wasn't something that you needed to leave home for.
"Michael I'm going to be in my office for a few minutes, finish your breakfast and watch some TV until I'm done OK?" You called out and got an 'alright' as his answer.
About an hour has passed and Michael was getting bored of watching TV. They were showing some low budget show about vampires and he was in no mood to sit through it.
What was taking you so long? You had said a few minutes and it's been an entire hour and you haven't left your home office.
He hardly gets to spend any quality quality time with you and now your work was getting in the way of his day. He wasn't happy.
Deciding he's waited enough, Michael clicked off the TV and marched up the stairs to the see what was taking you so long. He decided not to knock and just barged in ready to demand your attention but stopped himself as he saw you typing furiously on your laptop and talking sternly at whoever was on the phone.
"There is absolutely nothing you can give me as an excuse right now, this could completely crash the servers and we can loose Gigabytes of data because of this."
You always looked so fierce when you were pissed off about something. Your usually calm and collected demeanor was replaced by one of dominance and authority that always made his knees weak. Just the sound of you scolding your employee made him hard and made him want your attention even more.
He closed the door behind him and walks over to you, fully determined to get what he wanted despite knowing he wasn't allowed to disturb you during work.
"Y/n are you almost done, you promised that we'd spend time together today." He whined kneeling beside your chair. His big blue eyes looked up at you but you didn't even give his a side glance.
"Today is my day with you they get you every other day, can't you handle this later?" You shot him a serious glare that shut him up but it didn't deter him from his mission. Being ignored was one thing, but you brushing him off for your work on his day was the last straw.
You didn't question him when he crawled on the floor to get under your desk. You didn't even question when he spread your legs apart to make room for himself in the tight space.
What did get your attention was the sharp tug of your panties that made them snap when he tugged them with his finger. The pull was so strong it pulled you along with it.
He could be such a brat when he couldn't get what he wanted. You didn't mind it but your work couldn't wait.
You could tell he was getting impatient as you hardly reacted to his desperate acts for attention. The way his teeth nipped at your inner thighs and the wetness his tongue left in it's wake as he licked your folds with vigor.
You'd be lying if you weren't getting turned on by his efforts.
If there's one thing that Michael excelled at was pleasing you to the best of his abilities.
It took all of your will power not to moan into your phone as his tongue slipped into you, his hands wrapped around your hips to pull your lower half flush against his mouth.
"You do know there will be consequences for this, don't you?" You said into the phone while grabbing a fist full of Michael's hair, making sure that he knew she was talking to him too.
Absolute chills ripped through you as he moaned loudly against your sex. His hot breath against your dripping sex was euphoric and you could help but grind your hips into him to get more.
"Listen to me, today is my day off and I have business at the moment to take care of. I'll deal with you and your mistake tomorrow." You ended the call and threw the phone on the desktop.
You pulled away from Michael and yanked him by his hair to get out of the tight space.
"You can be a real brat sometimes you know that?"
"You were gone for so long, and I-"
"You know the rules about coming in here don't you?"
"I know. I- I'm sorry."
You sighed and gestured to him to get out from under the table and to lay down on the floor. You followed after him and took the position of straddling his hips.
He looked so adorable beneath you, eyes full of anticipation for whatever you were going to do to him at that moment, you almost felt sorry for him.
"How do you think you should be punished puppy?"
Usually you would spank him or put him on time out for disobeying you, but he was right. Today was his day and you broke your promise.
"How about I do something we'll both enjoy, but at the same time you get your punishment. And if you're good we'll get ready to go on that picnic right after, sound fair?" You asked, which he immediately agreed to.
You slowly began to ride on top of Michael, his semi erection perfectly positioned against your sex making the friction delicious between the two of you.
The hairs on your neck stood up as a wave of chills ran across your skin when Michael let out a desperate moan as you felt him grow harder under you. His brilliant blue eyes glazed over in desperation and pleasure that motivated you to move faster.
"Y/n, I.. I want more..~" He panted, gripping your waist and meeting your humping with vigor.
"I know you do puppy, but this is all you're gonna get."

All The Right Signs
“Gaten, get it together! It's fake raining!” Finn yells as Gaten messes up the scene for the fourth time. Everyone just laughs as you brace yourself.
“Five minutes everyone!” James shouts and you follow the kids as they run out of the rain as the water is turned off.
Today, you're glad the scene is outside, with all the main actors. It's always fun, and you need to keep your mind away from what will happen tomorrow. You thought the kissing scene was too far away, but now it's just around the corner. And you didn't do as James said. Every time Dacre showed up to work on that, you'd just sit, watch something and talk. And you always have fun together. The director never asked about the video though, so you just decided to let it go.
But now, it's tomorrow. And you're trying hard not to think about it until it's inevitable.
“Are you cold?” Dacre comes to stand before you, messing up your train of thought.
“A little, yeah.” You answer, removing some hair from your face.
“Well...” He steps closer, his hands rubbing your arms. You immediately feel warmer, but you don't think it's because of the gesture. “If Gaten manages to say his line without bursting into laughter we'll get out of the cold very soon.”
You can't help but blush, staring into his blue eyes. “He is–”
A camera flashing gets your attention, and both you and Dacre look at the source. Millie tries to hide her phone as if the bright light didn't startle you.
“I can't wait for tomorrow.” Natalia comments.
Unfortunately, they will have to be here, because the kissing scene isn't the only one scheduled. You still don't know if it's good or bad. Probably bad.
“Alright, let's get it done.” As James speaks, the water is turned back on and it starts raining again.
“Let's go.” You say in a low voice, accompanying Dacre back to your positions.
It takes another four attempts for Gaten to finally say his line without messing up, and the rest of you are free to finish the take. Afterward, before you can run to your dressing room to shower and change out of the soaking clothes, the guys decide to make some silly pictures with everyone soaking wet. In the middle of the commotion to strike a pose, Dacre finds he's way to stand next to you, an arm either on your shoulders or around your waist. You try not to give it much thought, hoping Millie's phone camera won't get your blushing cheeks.
When it's all done, you take a warm shower before heading to the van and an hour later you're at your hotel room. But the day isn't over yet. The guys are coming here to finally start working on the Battle of Starcourt scenes. But you still have some time before they show up, so you make yourself comfortable on the couch, a blanket around your shoulders as you watch Jaws since you're in the mood for a classic movie.
A knock on the door startles you a little, and you notice you were too immersed in the movie. Dragging the blanket with you, you walk over there after checking your phone. There's still an hour until they come and you didn't order anything. But you unlock it and swing it open, biting your lip when you see Dacre. “Hey.”
“Hi.” He furrows his eyebrows when he looks down at you. “I absolutely love your dress.”
“Really? It's the last fashion in my living room fashion week.” Giggling, you step aside, closing the door shut when Dacre comes in. “You're early. Nobody got here yet.“
“Yeah, I know.”
Raising an eyebrow, you shrug your shoulders. It's not like you would send him away. “I'm watching Jaws. So we can either watch it or put on something else.” Making your way back to the couch, you watch as he does the same, settling down beside you. “You want the blanket?” You decide to ask, just to be polite.
“Sure.”
That you weren't expecting. It's not cold. Well, not that cold. You just took the blanket to feel more comfortable since you're wearing shorts and a light blouse. “Ok.“ You mumble as you take the blanket from around your shoulders, fixing it on both you and Dacre.
Then you focus on the movie. Or you try to focus the best you can. Why is Dacre here? Millie's voice comes back to your head, her lastest advise making you bounce your leg nervously. She told you Dacre is giving all the signs he's into you. And you should do the same, or else he'll get the idea you're not interested and step back. Natalia assured it'll happen because Dacre is a gentleman, always have been, and he won't keep pushing you into something you don't want.
Taking a deep breath, you think about your options. You feel how Dacre's arm is touching yours, and you have an idea. Feeling the butterflies in your stomach going insane, you lean closer to Dacre. “Can I?” You ask, laying your head on his shoulder.
“Sure.” He answers, and after a few seconds of the most uncomfortable silence you've even been through, Dacre moves, putting his arm around your shoulders, what makes you snuggle closer to him, your head resting partly on his chest and neck. Your whole body is frozen for a moment, wondering what this is. Then he moves again, his arm sliding down to embrace your waist, and you decide to just end the small distance that was between your bodies, completely leaning on him. “Is this ok?”
“Yeah.” You nod, eyes tightly shut as your cheeks start burning. “The shark is attacking.” Trying to ease the tension, you gesture at the TV.
“It is,” Dacre mumbles, and you feel his chest vibrating as he speaks.
As the minutes pass by, you feel more comfortable. And it feels good to finally allow yourself to do this. It's something so simple, so silly, but still, it feels right. You've been dying to do this and you didn't even know.
Unfortunately, the hour passes by, the knocks and the chattering announcing that your time alone with Dacre is over. Sighing, you leave the blanket behind and go open the door, hoping nobody will notice that Dacre was here already.
•
“Ok, ok. Positions...” Joe says after the coffee table and couch were pushed aside, leaving a free space in the middle of the room. You stand beside Millie, script in hand as you wait to find out what scene they'll start with. “You there. You can be... There.”
“Why do I have the feeling we interrupted something,” Natalia whispers as she walks by, tilting her head at Dacre, who's discussing something in the script with Sadie.
“Dacre just came to...” To do what? Did he even come to do something specifically? “He came a little earlier.”
“I didn't know you could get this red,” Millie exclaims, staring at you. “Oh, my God, I'm so happy I'll get to see the kissing scene.”
The kissing scene. Nobody in the freaking universe will let you forget it. As if you needed them to remind you that Dacre's lips will be on yours by tomorrow night. “I want to get it done on one take, so don't screw it.”
“You should ask us to ruin it as much as we can so you'll get to kiss him more times.” Natalia sing songs and you Millie laughs, nodding.
“It won't be Dacre and I. It'll be Billy and Amy. It's a scene, it's our job.” You don't know what gets to you, the words just roll out. And they're all true. It won't be a real kiss. It's not like you don't want to do it. You want to kiss Dacre, and this is making you nervous, but it just won't be real. “Let's just focus here, ok?”
The next hours are tiring. They were right to do this because the Battle of Starcourt will be chaos, and it'll be a lot better if you kinda know the dynamics before having to actually shoot it. But you're distracted, forgetting your lines so many times you have to just keep the scrip in hand and read it. You're thankful for the kids being so crazy because they make you laugh and forget your anxiety for a while.
It's past midnight then they leave, and as you're saying your goodbyes at the door, you notice Dacre falling behind. When he's by the door, the others are already disappearing down the hall.
“Guess I'll see you tomorrow.” You mutter, looking down at your feet. If it wasn't for a meeting James called with the whole cast in the morning, you'd have the whole day to deal with before going to the set. It's better this way though, you think.
“Yeah. I'd be down for another gym date but I have this job that won't let me.”
Giggling, you bite your lip. “You think it'll be about changes in the script?”
“I'm sure it will,” Dacre mumbles, giving a look at the hall. When you follow his gaze, you see three blurs in the shape of heads, vanishing into the corner. “We're being watched.” He lowers his voice as if you were in great danger.
“Hope it's not the Demogorgon. I'd hate to save your ass. Again.” When you look back at him, you find his blue eyes already set on you. It makes you sigh, wondering why your legs won't work, and make you step back, returning to the normal distance you should put between you and someone else. “I'll get some sleep... Rough day tomorrow.”
“I agree.” Another glance at the hall, but you don't have time to check if anyone's there this time. Dacre leans closer and places a kiss on your cheek, as he usually does. Only this time is different. It lingers, for far too long, and at the same time, it ends too soon. And you're sure you felt the corner of his lips on yours. “Good night, (Y/N).”
“Good night.” Whispering, you stand by the door as he makes his way to the elevators, giving one last look back before disappearing in the corner.
• • •
Your hands are shaking a little, and you blame it on the cold wind. But the wind isn't that cold. Is it?
You're already in your position, at Hawkins Community Pool's parking lot, next to this random car and your stylist is finishing with your hair and giving the final touches on your make-up. No lipstick. You can't imagine why.
On your left, you see many pairs of eyes set on you. After this scene, James wants to shot the sequence, when the kids find a Demodog in the pool, so everyone is here. But you can't think about that now, you have to focus. Amy needs to come to life today, and you need to act like a professional. You knew acting in Stranger Things would be huge, and difficult, but you'd never guess it would be this hard.
You take the deepest breath you can when you see Dacre coming your way. Mullets were an atrocity to humankind, you think, but damn, he did make it look good. How is it even possible? He shouldn't be allowed to do that.
“Hey. You–”
“Everyone ready?” James' thunder voice cuts him off, and you have no idea if that's good or bad. No time to figure out. “Clean the set, let's do this. Dacre, (Y/N), are you ready?”
Nodding, you force your mind to remember the lines. You're Amy now... Which sucks because by now, Amy is already in love with Billy. Nothing will help you, you just need to get it done, give the audience the show they want.
“Great. Alright then... Ready and... Action!”
You're not ready for that, but you move anyways.
“I can't believe you took almost an hour to get here, Hargrove!” Amy yells, walking fast to end the small distance between her and Billy. “There's a freaking Demodog in the pool!”
“It's dead. So why the hurry?” Dacre keeps the smug smirk, the one that makes you want to slap Billy. Just a little bit. “Chill.”
“Don't tell me to chill. Can't you miss one single date? Not even when there's an interdimensional monster involved?” You punch Dacre hard on the chest, well not so hard, but he does give a tiny step back. This is Amy's jealously attack, and you make sure to make her look frustrated because despite the emotions overflowing, she knows she shouldn't be doing this.
“Why the hell you always think I'm with some girl?”
“Because that's where you always are.” Jumping to conclusions. That's the way Amy found to keep her heart away from Billy. Didn't work though. “You know what, it doesn't matter. We have a bigger fish to fry.”
When you turn around to leave, Dacre gets his cue, grabbing your arm and forcing you to stop and stumble back. “The damn thing is dead, it can wait.”
“Let go.” Amy pleads, stepping backwards as Billy comes closer. That's the moment where she gives up trying. This thing with Billy has been going on for a while now, and, as in real life, there's just this point where you stop fighting it. “Seriously, I'm tired of this shit so let's just–”
“I know you're jealous.” He mutters, just when your back hits the car. James loves to have you trapped like that. “Just need to figure out why.”
“I've said it once, and I'll say it again.” It's hard to follow the script, it's hard to keep breathing normally. It's so damn hard to keep eye contact with Dacre right now. “I won't be one of your flings so back the hell down.”
It comes out too low, and you wait for James to stop the scene. And you want him too. You can't do this. You can't stop looking at Dacre's lips, you can't control the butterflies in your stomach. This is just a goddman scene, why can't you get it together?
“Who said I want you to be a fling?”
That's it. It's happening. Dacre leans closer, so close that you have no choice but to close your eyes. He's saying something else, but you don't hear it. Your hands find their way to his chest, grabbing his jacket as if to steady yourself, to get a grip of reality. When his lips brush on yours, Amy is gone and you break character, taking a deep breath before pulling him closer, eager to end the small distance and finally–.
A loud noise, an explosion, makes both of you jump. One of the cameras near you come crashing down and if it wasn't for Dacre pulling you away, it would hit you. The whole thing moves like a domino effect, knocking a few more cameras with it. You barely hear James's voice, stepping further back, making sure you're far enough. The rest of the cast abruptly stand up from their chairs, worried.
“Everyone back off!” James shouts.
“Are you ok?” Dacre asks and you simply nod, a hand on your heart.
James dismisses everyone while he and his assistants check what happened. You silently walk beside Dacre until you reach the rest of the crew, looking down and trying not to think about the kiss. Or the almost kiss.
“What the hell happened?” Joe asks, and everyone starts talking at the same time.
There isn't much to talk about. Four of the five cameras are wrecked, and the director is pissed. But still, you're too far away, your mind stuck in the phantom of the kiss you craved for so desperately. Dacre stands by your side, but you can't look at him right now. So you engage in the conversation, ignoring Millie's and Natalia's stares, hoping nobody will notice your blushing cheeks.
An hour later, the big news arrive. Well, they're big news fort he cast, not for James. After analyzing the damage, James will have to suspend the shooting for five days. Which means you'll have five days off. Everyone starts making plans, and the ride back to the hotel is filled with happy chattering about who will go where. But you already know what you'll do. You'll fly home and use these days to rest. And think.
“Hey.” Dacre gets your attention, following out of the van when you reach the hotel. “What are your plans?”
“Uhm... I'm flying home.” Shrugging your shoulders, you keep his pace through the main hall.
“Oh, you live in LA, right?” Giving him a quick glance, you nod. “I'm living there too, I don't know if I told you.”
This lights up a spark in your heart, and suddenly, you're not so excited to stay away anymore. “No, you haven't.”
“We can book our flights together... If that's ok.”
His hesitation gets you by surprise, but then you notice how distant you've been acting since the kiss. Damn, he might be thinking you didn't like it or something. That he made you uncomfortable. That's exactly what you don't want him to think. “It is. When do you wanna leave?”
“Tomorrow morning?”
“That's fine by me.” You finally decide to look at him, and you immediately regret avoiding his eyes. Being nervous is... Normal. Maybe. But his eyes give you the reassurance you need. “I'll stop by your room in an hour so we can buy the tickets.”
“I'll be waiting.” His lips break into a smile, and you can't help but bite your lip and smile too.
“I'll be there.” You say as the doors open on his floor. Dacre mutters a goodbye, and right before the door closes again, you see when he winks at you.
