Did some lake fishing while visiting with some friends recently. It was a lot of fun!
#got my hot girl fishing license this year lmao!#hoping to check out some local spots sometime too!#yosh#fishing#caught nothing but beginner fish but that's okay! I'm a beginner. we never did catch those bass....#but the long-eared sunny was something i'd never seen before... it was super pretty and super cool!#i recommend looking up pictures the colors are gorgeous I couldn't believe that was a lake fish#I have a pretty funny fishing story about losing my lure too(i think its fun) so all in all a good time!#trying to get back into the drawing habit again... someone yell at me and tell me to draw my comic lol!

me waking up in a cold sweat at 6:20am: "I should get evening classes to be a hair dresser & training to be a makeup artist to be my own hair/make-up person on photo/video shoots and defy industry's single-gender-dominated-and-not-improving department segregation system like the all-rounder online creator that I am 👀😤"
#I swear I don't have adhd or anything I am just having a professional existential crisis recently x'D#ok but hear me out right like how useful would it be if people could hire someone who's a one-person videographer AND hair/make-up person!#I could like double my asking rate!#you need to do one before you can do the other anyway so why have two people for it#other than that the hair/make-up women don't specialise in photography#and the videographer lads have never touched a cosmetic product let alone knowing how to use it to any level let alone a professional one#AND I'd be able to offer hiring me as either role OR both at once#I'd have more options for jobs to apply to#and I'd have full control over the look I want from my subjects#cause like I do my own hair & make-up for my videos#like I know how to cut my own hair & do my own make-up#but I wanna learn how to do ANYONE'S!!!#and I know you can do hair dressing college evening classes cause I remember that was one of the other evening classes running while I was#doing my electrician's level 2#and I know there's make-up training places in the city I've seen them before while I was looking up other things#if you do professional hair/make-up you need to take pictures of it for your portfolio anyway#and if you professionally take pictures of people you need to do their hair/make-up anyway to get the look you want#SO WHY NOT BOTH for any reason other than gender roles prohibiting the cishets from learning both skills to the required level!!!#THIS IS MY LEG UP#THIS IS MY QUEER NONBINARY TRANS ADVANTAGE#*evil manic laughter*#edit: and smth smth the thing where women & afab ppl don't do their skills to a professional level#unlike cishet men making everything their job and therefore succeeding professionally even in trad-female dominated skills/industries#hence I should LEARN my matr skills to the level required for professional stuff rather than limit myself to patr skills#that I have a disadvantage with due to cishet male-dominated nature of this industry/tech department#AND it'll give me an opportunity to message my detrans previous hairdresser (as I live too far away from her now)#being like 'u were one of my inspirations for this I also wanna learn how to cut mullets real good hope ur doing well T^T' x'D#AND I could apply to screenskills' trainee finder in another department in a few years regardless of whether or not I get in this year#(I applied to the camera one this year)

#hot mulligan#can you tell i had fun tonight#im waiting for the train rn so i figured I'd post the pictures i took there#yes these are the only two i have bc i was too busy moshing to take more pictures lol#and the mosh pit was incredible i think there were two bc i ended up in this area where i thought i was out of the mosh pit#only to realize it was a small barrier between yet another one lol#i think they merged and separated throughout the show#i don't think I've seen that at a show before though it might just be that i never noticed it lol#anyway. i knew the crowd would be wild tonight and it did not disappoint at all the energy was wild throughout the entire show#and everybody was super nice too#just. incredible show 1000/10 i need to see them again immediately#post show depression? more like post show afterglow lol#it's where i start looking for more shows to go to and end up dropping a bunch of money on tickets#I've already found 5 more shows i might wanna go to#im gonna wait until I've had some sleep to actually get the tickets tho. just so i don't end up making an impulse buy#concerts#shows#mine#pictures

#I don't think I had ever really seen clouds like this before? it looks like a cool painting or something :0#Pulling just a few images from my cloud and sky photos folder which has like 650 pictures in it becvause I'm obsessed with the sky lol#I will usually spare everyone the cloudposting but... in some exceptions when it's really cool I must Share#(upcoming covid mention in tags for those avoiding the topic)#I WANT TO BE ON AN AIRPLANE SO SO BAD I am going to start casting evil spells to explode all these 'back to normal' bastards who are out#spreading virus and shit HHHHHH... Covid is NOT over actually contrary to popular beielf especially for people with health conditions#that make them more vulnerable or would have worse consequences if they were to catch it etc. etc. wearing a mask in public is#in MOSt cases not THAt much of a horrific terrible evil inconvenience and it helps keep everyone around you safer including these#vulnerable populations!!!! Even if I didn't have any problems myself I would STILL be masking because it's a small gesture that can make a#big difference in people around me being comfortable. It's not like people with health issues just never have to go out or go to the stor#or whatever. There are still people out there who could be helped by extra precautions that are being overlooked. grrrrr...#Like at this point since I'm vaccinated and everything I would MAYBE consider flying on an airplane IF everyone else around me#was masking and being just as careful as me. But at this point it's just the wild west and I would literally be the only one who gives#a shit or who gets tested freqeuntly before after and during traveling and wears the proper type of mask well fitting and not half off my f#ce and blah blah blah. And precautions work best when EVEYRONE is participating. There's only so much you can protext yourself if everyone#around you is doing nothing. So.. alas.. I still do not feel safe traveling. And probably won't for years until more progress is made in#terms of like understanding and treating certain long covid issues and etc. Since I think it's inevitable that if I start going out again#I would get covid. Me and my household bubble are some of the only people I know who haven't had it yet (or at least not knowingly so - if#so it was one of the asymptomatic cases etc.). So if I was GOING to get it anyway I'd at least like the assurance that whatever long term#issues I inevtabley suffer because of it will be more easily treatable at that point instead of entirely disabling even further than I'm#already disabled. etc. AAANYWAY!! all that to say. I JSUT REALLY WANT TO be on an airplane!!! I dont even like traveling and going places I#hate vacations and would rather be at home working on my projects I'm fixated on lol HOWEVER I love the view from airplane windows#like the very few times in my life Ive actually been on a plane and the window is so COLD when you lay your forehead on it and sometimes yo#even see little ice crystals and it's like you're just in a landscape of clouds with a sea of clouds above and below and aaaAAAAAA#Literally I want to get on a plane just to go up in the air and then land and fly back. I don't even want to go on a real trip. I just NEED#to see the sky I need to be IN the sky I need to have that VIEW and the cold and everything!!!! gRGGHGgg... And I will do that the entire#time. I think my longest plane ride was 7 hours and I do not watch movies. I dont text or play games. I literally do nothing to entertain#myself except stare straight out the window for 7 hours (with a few eating and bathroom breaks). not even joking lmao. It's like a trance#I LOVE the sky and clouds so much and the view you get from an airplane is like incomparable!! also I love airports with the big windows an#people watching. but mostly I just long for the sky view again. GRRR.. sobbing and yearning >:T

So after Karaoke tonight, I drove out to the boonies (about a half hour drive from town) to see the Perseid meteor shower! I laid on my back for like 30ish minutes, saw two meteors, and was really sleepy so I drove home. But I really enjoyed just lying in the quiet, listening to the crickets and breeze and my own breathing, gazing up at the faintly visible Milky Way and twinkling stars. The night sky is so, so beautiful.
#it reminded me of the time a couple months ago that the northern lights were supposed to be visible and i drove a friend out to a ...#...remote-ish place but not too far from town#and it was the first time she'd seen the clear night sky with her new glasses. and she was just staring at all the twinkling stars and...#...i showed her where the BARELY visible Milky Way was and the two constellations I know. and it was so cool.#because i remember looking up at the sky after i got my new glasses. and my eyesight was okay for most of my childhood before...#...then and then quickly got really bad. so i'd SEEN the stars fairly clearly but NEVER as clearly as with my glasses.#and it just blew my mind. the night sky is SO beautiful. and so many people across so many cultures and regions and times have#...looked up at the same night sky and drew pictures in the stars. just like us.#personal#i do wish i could have stayed up later and seen more meteors but. man. i am SO tired. it was a struggle to drive out there...#...and i still needed to be able to drive back. also a dog somewhat nearby was barking for like 5 straight minutes and out here that could..#...mean there's a bear or cougar or moose nearby so i was a little sketched out and decided i'd be safer in my car than on the ground#just in case. but between the exhaustion and the dog barking it was time to go home.

#been thinking a lot lately about something that happened over the weekend#the wedding was gorgeous it was a wonderful weekend it meant so much to be there and everything went really well#but there was a moment that hasn't sat right with me since#one of the wedding traditions we did was the groom and his family dancing to the mandapam where the wedding would take place#and the bride's family waits there to greet him#this wedding was held outside of lisbon in an area that was part hotel part tourist location so members of the public could see us#and as we the bride's family walked over to the place we needed to be to meet the groom and his family#these white tourists started taking pictures of us in our wedding outfits and whispering to each other#and then decided to come up to us and shove their phones in our faces#demanding photos with us#and i was just like. have never felt like more of a museum exhibit in my life#no 'i love your outfits' or anything just phones in our faces and the expectation of us to pose for pictures#we were just people attending a wedding not exotic creatures to treat like that#and i think this is a microcosm of the experiences of a lot of asian people worldwide#exotic creatures that aren't seen as human beings#exhibits that belong in museums that you want to take photos with#but people that are rarely listened to#rarely seen beyond our cultural traditions that people don't genuinely want to learn about anyway#i am all for cultural appreciation#but it's not appreciating my culture to be treated like a zoo attraction instead of a human being lol#i wasn't sure if i wanted to say something but it's aapi month in the us so i thought i'd just say#please think before you act please be respectful#treat us as people#we have so much love for our cultures and we'd love to share it but..... not like this lol#ask questions i am always open to answer#i don't like being grabbed and having a camera shoved in my face to be in some white tourist's photo#so they can show off the indian wedding they witnessed#neha rambles

It is so incredibly frustrating to watch everyone talk about how fanatic Across the Spiderverse is and all the important themes and representation, while I have also been one of the people desperately waiting for it to come out. And now that it has I just straight up can't. Sure, I could try, but who could possibly enjoy a movie they can't look at half the time while having a migraine for likely the entirety of it?
"Everyone should watch this movie! It's so great!" I would fucking love to, but unfortunately it is wildly inaccessible to me - and straight up genuinely legitimately DEADLY to others - so I just have to sit back and sadly watch everyone who is not photosensitive and epileptic praise it constantly while never acknowledging what a slap in the face it is to entire groups of disabled people.
I can only imagine how black epileptic animation fans feel right now.
