since i haven’t talk in a while, i want to tell you guys my last and current reading!!

i caught up with after god yesterday and it was so good! i admit that at first i was a little confused and had to reread some parts to really get it, but besides that, it was a nice experience – a very crazy one, but nice.

now i just started aono-kun!! i heard so many amazing things about it, so i’m excited.

as for books, i found “slaughterhouse-five” by kurt vonnegut on my pile of “books i bough ages ago and i completely forgot they existed” and decided to read. i confess that i know zero about either the book or kurt, and i’m fresh into the beginning of it, so i don’t have many opinions yet.

I don’t like getting intense over petty things, but why are people calling large paragraphs “bad formatting” now. It’s just formatting. Sometimes, a larger paragraph serves its text well, and sometimes it doesn’t, and there is a LOT more that goes into making a text block readable than length alone.

Please please please fucking please stop inventing all-encompassing arbitrary rules about what features define “good” art and “bad” art.

Chilchuck analysis speedrun: As a hardworking half-foot who grew up poor and discriminated against and had his gullibility taken advantage of multiple times in his early adventuring days, Chilchuck thinks optimism is a dangerous flaw. He’s stressed and strict all the time because his job is noticing details like traps that could get everyone killed before anyone knows it, he takes the lives of everyone to be on his shoulders, and with the way he speaks about it that probably partly reflects how he felt about taking it upon himself to provide for his family too. His life’s always been pretty centered around work and has become even moreso now that his wife left and everyone is independent, and due to past events he’s very iffy with bonding with coworkers. He thinks feelings and job are a disaster mix. Like with his wife or with parties hiring him as sacrifice, being open or having good faith is vulnerability which can get you hurt, so he processes and shows all his stress as anger instead of worry. Doing strict dieting probably isn’t helping the irritability what with hunger, and on top of being a hunger suppressant alcohol might be the main stress reliever he has.

Kinda wanna see like a part 2 of the little angst you did between MK and Macaque a while ago. It's so interesting and I wanna see Macaque's reaction in your art style. (You don't have to of course, it's just a suggestion [idk if i spelled that right])

I’ve had this curly sew in for 6 weeks which is wild because that’s the longest I’ve ever gone with my natural hair out. And the best part is, I actually love it?? Really fell in love with my curl pattern and I’ve really enjoyed learning to take care of curly hair for pretty much the first time ever.

That being said I did straighten my hair this week because I have an exam and I didn’t realize how annoying it is to like ??? maintain curls every week? (Granted that’s mostly just me because I have damaged ends and a sew in to blend with). And I am putting braids in for exam period this weekend but! I feel like I’ve done really well and I’m surprised at how much I like seeing my face with my own curls around it. Yay for me.
