Just wanted to say I absolutely love this page and the Debaser fandom. It’s so accepting and there’s never any judgement. It feels like an actual safe space. I love knowing anyone could talk about anything here and nobody would be an asshole about it which you don’t really see a lot these days. Im just really glad this place exists.

I had taken a long break from online spaces before I started posting debaser because it just felt negative and unsafe. I really hate what the word “cringe” has done to online spaces and the way purity culture has emboldened people to openly condemn each other for having very normal, unharmful human thoughts and feelings.

I was scared as hell to post debaser. I was scared people were going to attack me for writing a problematic trans/queer character. But holy shit I’m glad I did because I needed this safety too. Y’all have been part of creating this community just by like, accepting me and each other and I’m really grateful for that.

I’m not always going to share or understand your hcs, your takes on characters, or your kinks, but I never ever want you to feel shamed or wrong for having them. The beauty of healthy fandom is that we all have different takes, we bring different experiences to characters and we’re all here because we earnestly love something. That’s positive. So truly fuck fandom police.
