I don't know why, the idea of Chuuya making homemade food for Atsushi (since he has no money until his first pay or just because Chuuya's mother instincts went "the kid is too skinny he needs to eat") is not leaving my mind because it's just too cute as a bonding time
(if most of the food is hamburgers, well, Chuuya has more experience doing them)
Tumblr media
anon you beautiful soul you, i took ur idea and ran with it
and if they make it a habit to eat at least one meal together a day then who’s to say they can’t

I know some of you have probably been curious how Shelli and I have been doing since we lost him. I’m sure it wasn’t a secret that we had a very strong bond with Thurston. When I say he was my best friend, that wasn’t an exaggeration. And to Shelli he was her baby. Suffice it to say we grieved hard. Things got bad for a while, to the point that our lives fell completely apart for a little bit there. I guess that’s a story for another day, but suffice it to say that, along with help from our families, one of the last gifts Thurston gave us is that we both finally sought treatment for our long-term issues with mental health. And things are going pretty well now.
I feel like we have both reached some measure of peace with his passing. It’s been hard and I still struggle just to see his little face sometimes. I definitely want to keep posting on his YouTube, but going through his videos is really hard for me as I’m sure you can imagine. I am getting closer to being able to do it though.
Tumblr media
Thurston was not only a cat but a person to me. Maybe some people would say that are having this level of bond with a cat is unhealthy, but I’ve always believed that when you love it is something you should give freely, completely unrestrained. Because the consequences of regret from holding back love are far greater than the pain of loss later on when you’ve given with your whole heart. It’s worth it to just give! The love I have for Thurston still gives me joy to think about. It’s more important and stronger than the pain of his loss. And that’s really how I would like him to be remembered as a beautiful creature, a beautiful PERSON, that gave us lots of joy.
Every cat is spectacularly special and beautiful in their own way. Perhaps some of Thurston’s beautiful qualities are things you see reflected in your own cat. Or maybe your cat has their own special beauty that no one can see but you. So all I can say, is treasure that animal, and give them all your love. As every cat knows: they totally deserve it 😽
So after a lot of reflection, Shelli and I found we had more love to give. Our new house was completely cat-ified for Thurston anyhow, so we adopted two cats from local shelters. We are learning more about who each of them are so they can show us their own unique personalities. Their names are Nanners and Moon Pie
Anyhow, I hope this post finds you well! How was your year? Have any thoughts to share? I hope you’re doing well.

Analysis on YANDERE PLATONIC TAS villains. Pt2
Harley Quinn
Joker
Harley + Joker [Reluctant team-up, they want nothing to do with each other]
Killer Croc
Scarecrow
Penguin
TW: Use of the word 'Mommy', 'Daddy', and Dumb-ifying/Babying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the Yandere Archtypes: https://www.tumblr.com/helpfandom/724022554446135296/types-of-yandere?source=share Once, again, yandere_auxillary made it, I just can't find them for some reason.
I set apart Harley and Joker because they would be different depending on if they are together or not, hence why there are two versions of each. One alone, and one together.
Harley: See, her characteristics when alone would be, Impulsive, Delusional, Sadistic, and Clingy. Sadistic and Clingy are supposed as opposing forces, but it's actually not true. Her sadism comes from the fact that she doesn't mind see you get hurt trying to escape, {and even slightly enjoys it}. Her clinginess comes from never having this feeling before as a kid, or even towards a kid, and her being confused, even a little scared of this feeling. She doesn't try to find out more about you, she's delusional after all, she truly thinks that you're just like her. Her delusions are something that you will just have to deal with, as she completely believes that you love her too. To break her delusions would end with Reader being harmed physically, or to end up locked alone in a room, waiting for her to open up the door and let you back out. She's impulsive in that she is quick to kidnap, not even knowing your name at that point, but knows she wants to be your Momma. She doesn't stalk you, she's too impatient for that, but she keeps you in her mind. The next time she sees you, she attempts to kidnap you. She would fight Joker for you. She's not always going to be there for you to be considered her 'kid', nor will she truly take care of you fully. Not enough for a developing child. "Momma's here!~ Come here baby, Mommy got some new jewelry for her baby. Just let Mommy take care of you!"
Joker: Yikes. Good luck. Sadistic, Impulsive, Possessive, some of the worst traits to have. He would be fully willing to push you into acid like he fell into, if it meant having you stick around with him. He would not entertain the idea of you even having other parents. Not even Harley could attempt to take you away from him. He's always been shown to be impulsive, and possessive, with Episode 47, season 1, when Harley teams with Poison Ivy. Imagine that, but much much worse. He would refuse to let anyone get close to you. He would feel nothing but glee when you try to escape, only to be harmed by his hyena's. He found a kid {you} and decided to try to poison you against Batman, quickly kidnapping you and taking you home. Finding your uncaring attitude intriguing and hilarious. He will constantly take you places, only to kill or threaten the people who try to help you, and then take you back home where he tries to get you to help with a plan. He's gritting his teeth together, fed up with you refusing to help him. "Listen here kid. You're going to help me with my next thing, or your other-family says beddy bye."
Harley + Joker: Impulsive is the one thing that the two share from their alone counterparts. (Surprising, considering what they shared, but I'll explain.) Self-Indulgence, is the next characteristic that they have. Despite all that they share, they bounce off of each other with jealousy, causing their Sadism to in fact, go away, because they are busy trying to poison you against the other. Terms like: "Come here suga', Mommy's got you some brand new jewlery, did Daddy get you some jewlery? Well, it's not as shiny as Mommy's is it? or "Doll, did Mommy get you some cheap-o jewlery? Well, good thing that Daddy got some candy for you!" are commonplace and you half-way expect it to be quite honest. They often fight and make-up, before fighting the next day and making-up the next. Wash, Rinse, and Repeat. As much as they hate each other and the way that the other parent raises you, they hate the alternative to leaving, or making the other susceptible for Batman to take you away from their loving grasp. "But who do you really love, sweetie? Mommy, or Daddy? It better be me.
Killer Croc: He is Clingy, Obsessive, Overprotective, and Self-Indulgent. His fear of being inadequate and being seen as nothing but a monster, [which is why he does crimes. If you see me as a monster, maybe I am a monster. Maybe I'll show you what a monster looks like.] is why he is all of those traits. He fears that the one person who is indifferent to him / nice to him [Reader, or You,] would be eventually changed to fear him by Batman. Killer Croc would be the type to baby you, even dumb-ifying you if that makes sense. His fear of inadequacy makes him put restraints on you, even once we're past the escape phase, putting gloves on you, being Overprotective so much, because he wants to keep his little baby safe. He sees you as a 'baby' because of your indifference to him being a mutant of sorts, and sees that indifference as naivety. He craves your approval and needs you to need him to do everything for you, hence, his baby-ing. Just let him control your every action and love him for it, okay?
Scarecrow: He is Impulsive, Manipulative, Obsessive, and just a bit Sadistic. He's less likely to experiment on such a nice darling who knows that he was a professor or wants to learn more about what he taught, but punishment wise... He's not afraid to use fear gas. He doesn't want to use fear gas on you, more complacent to study his own psychology, and why he's obsessed with you, and he can't study that if the subject is missing his child... He's impulsively manipulative in the way that he's immediately jumping to a plan to manipulate Reader into coming into his grasp. He just wants to put you in a little container and watch everything you do, just to study you like a little pet. Just make sure you don't run away, m'kay?
Penguin: He is very Clingy, Overprotective, and Impulsive. He's been betrayed over and over again by people he thought he could trust, been kicked out of the society he tries and desperately wishes to join, so when he finds a darling who gives no shits, and cares not for what he is, so long as he is a good person? He impulsively falls into a platonic love, wishing to become the parent he wishes he could have, and what kind of parent would he be if he didn't protect his kiddo? He wouldn't let you out at all, fearing the upper-class or BATMAN might get their insufferable claws into you, sinking fear of him into you. Not quite like Killer Croc, because Killer Croc is fearful because he is seen as a monster, Penguin is scared that you'll learn of his crimes and become afraid of him, and that would simply break his heart. As soon as he has an opportunity to take you away from the society, he will kidnap you.

These Barbies are expressly prohibited from entering spider society HQ due to extreme canon event interference!
I wanted to draw my spiderverse characters, but decided to do a full scale piece instead of a standard character ref sheet. These two are preexisting OCs that I decided to Spider-man-ify. Meet Emily Fenstar, alias Spider-Girl, and her uncle, Miles "Deadpool" Fenstar.
Some lore:
Emily comes from earth 4082 in the year 2085. She was raised by her Uncle Miles after the death of her parents. Her world is controlled by a series of megacorporation monopolies, including Alchemax. The CEO of Alchemax sought to create a new generation of mutant heroes, and began experimenting on his company's employees and their families. Miles and Emily were abducted, split up and altered. Emily had her DNA spliced with the DNA of a spider, and Miles was enhanced with a super serum that granted him an extreme healing factor to the point of immortality. They believe themselves to be the only survivors of their respective programs.
Miles was eventually able to escape, rescuing his niece on the way out. He took on the name Deadpool and found work as a mercenary to support her and keep them both from being recaptured by Alchemax and their many engineered monsters. During his captivity, he endured horrible injuries from imperfect versions of the serum and his hair went prematurely grey. He's set apart from most Deadpool variants out there by the fact that he's never had cancer, and more importantly, the fact that he actually knows how to keep his mouth shut. He works hard to keep his daughter safe, especially when she tags along on some of his jobs.
Emily is far from standard as Spider-People go, due to being genetically spliced like Spider-Man 2099. Her power set is similar- she has sharp claws, venomous fangs and no spider sense. She built her web shooter herself. Her venom is stronger than Miguel's, and will kill instead of paralyzing. She doesn't hesitate to use it when she gets into a pinch, and has no qualms about killing to protect herself or her uncle. Both of them are incredibly wanted by the authorities, and she would rather die than be caught and returned to the program.
There are other versions of Emily that ended up becoming Spider-Woman, but the Emily from 4082 is the only one that wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider and didn't have her uncle die. Missing the first two canon events threw off her whole timeline, leading to her never meeting the person who was supposed to be her version of the Gwen Stacy event, as well as practically every other thing that was supposed to happen. Because of this, Miguel slapped her with a permanent ban and a no contact rule against all of Earth 4082, with the excuse that her dimension was probably unstable. She thinks that's bullcrap and fully intends to find her way in some day when she's got less to worry about.
Fun fact: This piece took me nine goddamn hours. Enjoy.

Out of Harm's Way
Tumblr media
f!Raph + gn!reader
Warnings: mention of death, injuries, tending to injuries, angst, platonic fluff, swearing
A/N: Who doesn't love angst? This takes place in 2030. Mikey is 25, the twins are 26, Raph is 27. Reader is around 7 and it's unspecified if reader is human, mutant, or yo'kai (meaning born right after the Kraang invasion started). I chose Raph because I feel he doesn't get enough love. :) Raph renames you because I hate using y/n.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your breath was heavy as you tried to run across what looked like a battle field. Ruins of buildings before your time looked pushed aside to make the large clearing. Thankfully, there was no fighting going on at the moment.
You had been at a colony around Newark, but it had been attacked. You fled with a few others in the colony, hoping to make it to the one in the city. But now you were alone. Kraang dogs attacked and you got separated. You were most likely the only one that made it.
Tired, you collapsed. You didn't know where the entrance to the colony was, you just had to hope someone would find you. All you could do is curl up and cry.
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ⋆。❤️ 。⋆꒱ ˎˊ˗
"There's something outside." Raphael points to the form on the ground.
"Let me see." Donatello pushes Raph away from the security screen. "Shelldon, scan it."
The A.I. took a moment to scan the form. "It's a child."
"Alone? Are you sure?" Donnie asks.
"Do I look like something that would make a mistake?" Shelldon sighs.
"Are they Kraang-ified?" Raph presses.
"They seem to be clear." Shelldon replies.
"We should go out and help them." Raph turns and goes towards the gate.
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ⋆。❤️ 。⋆꒱ ˎˊ˗
You hear something open, immediately jumping up to run. You look around wildly, trying to find out which way isn't safe, when you spot a big turtle man in red.
"It's alright, just breathe, okay?" He crouched and held his and out to you. "My name is Raphael. I'm here to take you somewhere safe, okay?"
You nod and race to him. He caught you, picking you up gently and walking towards a hole in the ground. Once inside, it slid closed. You 2 went through a few more doorways, all locking behind you, before you saw lights and heard people. Raphael walked away from it, towards a quieter area.
"You'll be safe here." He gently sets you on a bed. You look around seeing medical equipment. You start to panic a little. "It's okay, it's okay. We just want to make sure you're not hurt."
"Raph!" A blue clad turtle comes running in. "Why the hell did you go outside? There wasn't a threat!" Instead of answering, Raphael stepped aside. Blue looked at you, surprised. "Are they alright?"
"That's what we're gonna see." A purple one pushed Blue aside. He had giggles on and played with something on his wrist. He brought over a small med kit, rolling over on a stool.
"These are 2 of my brothers. Leo," Raph motions to Blue. "And Donnie."
"Where did you come from?" Donnie asks, patching up a few cuts on your arms and legs.
"Newark." You squeak as Donnie applies alcohol.
"That's over 300 miles." Leo comes closer. "You came by yourself? Did you walk all the way here?"
"Newark fell..." You look at your hands. "I wasn't alone... until..."
Tears began falling. You hadn't been able to fully come to terms with what happened, constantly on edge. Constantly aware of everything around you, just trying to survive.
"Shh, please don't cry." Raphael places a hand on your shoulder. "You're safe here now. I'm sure they'd be happy to know that."
"What's your name?" Donnie asks, handing you a sandwich and water. You shrugged. "You don't have one?"
"It wasn't very important... I guess Kid." You sniff.
"That's a terrible name." Raphael groans. "I'll come up with something for you or you can pick your own."
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ⋆。❤️ 。⋆꒱ ˎˊ˗
"Their vitals are normal for someone who hasn't had food and water in at least 3 days..." Donnie sighs, leaning back in his chair.
"No offense, I know it's a kid," Leo began. "Are we sure they're not a threat?"
"They're not Kraang-ified if that's what you're asking." Donnie answers, spinning to face his twin.
"Look, Shelldon told us Newark was attacked, their story lines up. Plus they look to be around 7 years old, they probably can't answer many of the questions you have." Raph points out.
"As much as I hate to say it, Raph does have a point." Donnie twirls a pen in his fingers. "What they need is rest and nutrition. They'll probably have some trauma, we can deal with that as it comes."
"I can't imagine what they went through out there..." Raph closes his eyes in pain.
"I'm just wondering how a child can get through 3 days out there alone." Leo frowns. "Just keep your eyes open."
˗ˏˋ ꒰ ⋆。❤️ 。⋆꒱ ˎˊ˗
Night after night, you had nightmares. You didn't want to bother the turtles, but you weren't sleeping. One night you finally decided to sneak to Raphael's room.
"Hey... Are you okay?" Raph sits up, placing his hand on your face reassuringly.
"C-can you... hold me for a while?" You mumbled.
"Of course." He laid back down, lifting his arm so you could snuggle underneath.
Raph was a comforting being in your messed up world. After that first night, you 2 became inseparable.
Raphael spent a lot of time with you, coming up with names, and just taking care of you. You both went through color names, Renaissance names, nothing seemed to fit.
"I think I got it." Raphael sits on the edge of your bed. You crawl into his lap, he was much to big for your bed. "What about Phoenix?"
"Phoenix?" You ask.
"Yeah... They're mythical birds that burn up and rise out of their ashes..." Raph shruggs. "I think... But that's what you've done. You are healthy and safe now."
You don't say anything. You wanted to think about it, maybe hear others say it.
"Or... We could look more." Raphael quickly says. He worried he might have upset you.
"I like it." You hug him. He wraps his arms around you, standing up to reintroduce you to his family. He walks into the dinning room where they're all sitting.
"This is Phoenix." Raphael smiles, he sets you on the ground.
"Oh mi gosh, that's perfect!" Mikey beams.
"It's nice to meet you, Phoenix." Splinter hugs you. The others also greet you, using your new name. You turn to look at Raphael, grinning.

i've seen some arguments against Fionna and Simon having romantic vibes in their relationship and, fair enough, some people find it squicky for reasons (she is a Finn alternate, most notably) but there's a few arguments against it that I don't think make much sense, and here are my rebuttals:
"she's a daughter to him, its like incest" nowhere is Fionna stated or implied to have a father/daughter dynamic with Simon. Overwhelmingly they instead have parallel arcs, they're mirrors to one another, and peers besides; Fionna is most likely in her early-to-mid 30s and while Simon probably in his 50s or 60s, this does put Fionna at an age where age differences and lived experience tend to be increasingly less relevant. When they bond, its not father/daughter, its two people sharing a genuine human connection. I feel like people defaulting towards a strict parent/child dynamic with them is just shoving them into role boxes
"there's a power imbalance" no?? there's not??? at the very least, if there IS a power imbalance, let me tell you it's not SIMON with that power. Fionna could break him in half like a toothpick and they both know it. Simon's experience is largely irrelevant to Fionna's life style, rendering the age-related aspect of it functionally irrelevant, and he doesn't hold any kind of position of authority over her. also Simon is a passive goober, she could accidentally break his arm and he would apologize to her for getting in her way
"something something found family" while found family IS a big part of their dynamic, its NOT found family in the sense of a traditional parent-child bond or adoption. Again, Fionna is thirty years old. Assuming that her life roughly maps to a mundane-ified version of Finn's life with some things reversed (which is the trend we see with the other characters), she likely has or had a dad she gets along with and a complicated or angry relationship with her mother. She's past the point where she NEEDS a dad, wants one, or is likely to perceive an older male friend as a father figure. Also, found family is not just adopted family or parents + children in a group heirarchy, its often a harder to classify group of friends who are as close as family but that doesn''t mean they have a hierarchy of authority.
"he's like a dad to her" this falls under several other ones but no, at least I don't see anything like that. Simon offering advice and stories about his past does not automatically mean he's a paternal figure to her. Simon IS a dad to one specific person, Marceline Abadeer. That doesn't mean he does the same thing to every single person around him. His dynamic with Fionna does not read as paternal at all!!

If you get this, answer w/ three random facts about yourself and send it the last five blogs in your notifs. Anon or not, doesn’t matter, let’s get to know the person behind the blog <3
Three random facts about myself!
1: I'm studying Robotics/Mechatronics in college right now! My grade dropped below the university requirements when I took on more work, and so I started taking classes that at a community college that'll transfer over and its SO much cheaper this was actually a pretty great turn of events!
2: I like collecting weird/cool trinkets I find/am given, someday I want to have a home full of the things I've accrued over the years, organized in an aesthetically pleasing way. Right now I have a ceramic cow plant pot, a pretty green glass bottle that was sold as a mouthwash container, a handmade (not by me) ceramic bowl, a deep red desk clock, a ceramic pumpkin basket, and (my most cherished) a beautiful tree of life dreamcatcher made and gifted to me by a beloved coworker. I'm sure there's more that I'm missing.
3: I'm the oldest of seven children, and I love them dearly but I was parent-ified at a young age and made to take care of them, and because of this I will not be having kids of my own. I am excited to be an aunt someday, though! I'm gonna be the cool gay rich (maybe) family member that spoils them when they come visit :)
Bonus fact: the SFTH fandom has made me much more open online because of how tight-knit the community feels, and I'm really glad I found the guys late last year through their YouTube shorts!

Strangers by Ethel cain is the most billy hargrove song to ever exist
Literally I can draw parallels on like every line and harringrove-ify it
“In your basement, I grow cold”-
Billy’s body left in the morgue after starcourt, waiting for Neil to be bothered to organise a funeral
“Don’t talk to strangers or you might fall in love”-
Billy being forced to move to this new town, and meeting Steve, and being devastated that he can’t stop being everything Neil hates.
“How funny, i never considered myself tough”-
billy being forced out of his pretty embroidered clothes and the things he loves Into this sporty badboy persona to stay safe from his dad
“You’re so handsome, walking over to me now”-
the whole “yeah it’s me, don’t cream your pants” scene at the Byers’. No other notes.
“I tried to be good, am I no good? Am I no good? Am I no good?”-
billy being everything his dad wants him to be and it still not being enough. No matter how hard he tries, he can’t be straight enough, can’t be tough enough, can’t be respectful enough.
“With my memory restricted to a Polaroid in evidence”-
the fact that Billy’s entire existence was just like, forgotten (and actively and wilfully ignored) by everyone but max, and Jason that one time.
“I just wanted to be yours, can I be yours, can I be yours?”-
billy just always wanting Steve’s attention at every turn. Just wanting him to look at him. Pushing him around in gym, staring at him in the showers, doing whatever he can to get his eyes on him.
“If I’m turning in your stomach and making you feel sick”-
in a literal sense, getting half eaten by the mind flayer, figuratively, his memory haunting max and never giving her peace, no matter what she tries.
“When my mother sees me on the side of a milk carton——she’ll cry, and wait up for me”-
The idea of Billy’s mother finding out her son died years later from a random newspaper article or something, not knowing how she didn’t realise he’d died. How she didn’t feel her child dying.
“I’m happier here, because he told me I should be”-
either the MF getting in Billy’s head, telling him he’s doing the right thing, telling him he likes it, or Neil forcing them all to Indiana and demanding a new start, to be the perfect family, to not cause problems.
“You’re so handsome when I’m all over your mouth”-
the fight at the Byers def crossed some wires in that boys head seeing Steve all bloody. Boy ain’t right. But neither am I
“Found you just to tell you I made it real far”-
one of the last things billy sees is the memory of being back in California. Just for a moment he got to be home.
“And I never blamed you for loving me the way that you did”-
billy thinking Neil is justified in what he does because he’s been to conditioned to hate himself, and his mother leaving just creates a whole mess of self worth issues.
Alternatively, max getting older and understanding the nuances of what exactly was going on in that house, and finally forgiving billy completely.
“While you were torn apart, I would still wait with you there”-
max holding him as he died, despite everything, so he wasn’t alone at the end.
“Don’t think too hard about it or you’ll never sleep a wink at night again”-
max not being able to move on, blaming herself for not saving him. Plus the whole eddie parallels with vecna.
“Don’t worry bout me and these green eyes, mama just know that I love you, and I’ll see you when you get here”-
billy knowing that the only chance he’ll ever get to see his mother again is in heaven, and finally being at peace with dying because everything will be okay once he sees her again.

starter for: @walid-the-engineer
location: Flower Tower
Micaiah had found themselves spending more and more time in the mysterious building at the center of the Island. Sometimes to make good on their promise to Jupiter to hopefully find her family. Which, so far they hadn't had any luck with, but they'd keep trying. Someone else they tried to check up on was Ify and Adanna - the two children he and Jupiter had found in that Halloween Store back in Lubbock, Texas. So far, no luck. The area still seemed as dead as ever, with nothing moving whenever Micaiah decided to check it out. It worried them. But they had left supplies at the store, at least. Other than that, there was nothing they could do.
However, the reason they were here right now was for their mandatory shifts. Every resident on Panopticon had to do them on occasion. Micaiah did not partcicularly mind, though the whole thing had taken some adjusting. But they'd accepted it. At least partially.
Just as they were making their way into the Flower Tower, they ran into someone. "Oh, sorry-" They apologized automatically, having to steady themselves on the doorframe in order to not lose their balance. They cast a glance at the person they'd almost run over, recognizing them rather quickly.
"Oh, Walid. Hello. I've actually been looking for you." Everyone on Panopticon kind of knew each other. But, despite Walid being a long-time resident, Micaiah couldn't say that they really... spoke much. Maybe it was just their lack of common interests. Walid seemed to be quite interested in the technological area, meanwhile Micaiah spent most of their times in the gardens. It seemed almost natural that there wouldn't be much contact between them, aside from the usual pleasantries. However, with how often Micaiah would be busy with the fower tower, that was probably just about to change.
"I hope I'm not bothering you, in case you're currently coming home from your shift, but... you know a lot about the tower, right? I would like to hear more about it. How it works."

is   your   muse   a   lucky   person   ? - absolutely not. when she left for the states, it really showed because she managed to get caught up in one weird incident after another almost every time she stopped her car to take her dog for a walk
do   things   randomly   tend   to   go   their   way   without   much   effort,   or   do   they   have   to   work   for   bad   luck   ? - i'd say most of the good things, the actually good things in her life, required a lot of effort. she does come from a family with a reputation and money so that does help
when   was   the   moment   in   your   muses   life   that   they   had   to   grow   up,   a   situation   where   they   just   knew   it   was   time   for   them   to   mature   ? perhaps   a   traumatic   event,   maybe   even   an   exciting   one   ! - kinsey was basically adult-ified the minute she could walk so. there wasn't really anywhere else to go from there.
has   your   muse   found   their   happiness   in   life   ?   their   purpose   ?   if   so,   when   and   how   did   that   happen   ? - i think so. i think a lot of her life was spent trying to fit into the very small box that the rutherford family had set out, but ultimately she's never had the kind of bite to belong with them. and she's still pretty frightened of the unknown, but she feels calmer than when she was working to the bone in the city. she's in her transitional/coming of age phase she's just. in her 30s
what   gives   your   muse   confidence,   what   makes   them   optimistic   ?   or   are   they   pessimistic   ?   what   makes   their   life   purposeful   ? - i don't think she's particularly optimistic or pessimistic, she's just. trying her best not to let herself harden or grow cruel. maybe it doesn't always show just because she's grown more introverted with time, but she does find purpose in being kind to others in the rare situations that she's not keeping to herself

Hey Frank! Have you ever seen the show Columbo? What do you like about it?
Thanks for the question!
To be clear, I am definitely not Columbo. I mean, I am a fan of the character and the show, but I am not him. There is a certain irony to this, because my life story has in some way been a sort of "reimagined" Columbo story.
In some ways I've been, in a sense, Columbo-ified: when I was a young child I was often found reading detective novels with a pencil in hand. I was extremely curious about what the mysteries were, and when I started school they told my parents that if I had any friends and wanted to go to school with them they'd have to come get me. I was only allowed to stay in school for a couple hours per day, but the teachers would try to get me out by giving me assignments to do. I was allowed to take my backpack when I went outside, but the teachers would sometimes lock me in a closet and give me the key and tell me not to tell my parents. I couldn't make friends with others because I'd get in trouble for spending too much time on the playground, and the teachers would try to keep me busy with little stuff like "look around the classroom and tell me if you see any of these colors."
I loved mystery novels, and I especially loved the mysteries in the Nancy Drew series. I could identify all the main characters from memory, and I would keep up with the stories in between novels. I'd sometimes think about reading a whole series, but I didn't have a lot of friends yet, so if I spent any amount of time reading at home, the adults in my house would notice.
A few things happened around this time that made me think about crime and the police in a way I hadn't thought about before:
The movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial had just come out, which I saw around Christmas 1984. The day after the movie came out, the TV news was running stories about a little girl named Robin living in England, who had "gone missing." It was not clear why she had gone missing, because the article mentioned that she was only four years old and "loved nature and animals." (This was the late 1980s, so it would have been easy to say "missing" rather than "abducted," but still.) It was suggested in the news that her mother had just left the family, or had left earlier, and this left a gap in the household that was hard to explain. The police did an "active search" to find Robin, which included checking nearby areas to see if she was at school, or if she'd walked home and gotten lost. Some of Robin's toys were found in a rubbish bin behind a McDonald's (!) in London, but no one ever said for certain that Robin was alive or dead. I was only eight years old at this point, and I don't think I'd thought about the Robin thing much. But I remember being told that the police still were working on it, and my parents told me not to tell my school friends because the police weren't sure what had happened to Robin or why they'd been searching all over.
This got to me the very next day, because I wanted to know why they were looking for Robin in the first place. There were lots of why questions that seemed to come up every few months, when things would get a little weird. Questions like "why didn't her mother just go to the police?" "Why didn't her father just look for her?" "Why aren't they searching for everyone who ever saw her?" For a time I would try to write my own Nancy Drew books, but of course you couldn't just search for clues that you found and you had to think about them all, and I would get very frustrated. (For more background, see the first few chapters of my "lost childhood" blog post here. )
The other reason I think of the Columbo show when I hear the name "Columbo" is that when I was in high school I was often on the phone with my English teacher, Ms. Linton. I did well in English class, got good grades, and felt a bit frustrated that I was not at the same level of fluency in some of the things she'd assigned. I took a class on "prose literature," which was a required class for the most part, and I wrote an essay that got a mediocre grade.
Anyway, at one point I wrote a poem that I was proud of and that Ms. Linton had asked me to turn in. I wasn't sure what to do with the poem, so I told Ms. Linton about a book I had recently read, and how I'd enjoyed a few lines of it in particular. She read it, said some things about it, and gave me an A for it.
I was very pleased with this, and started to think that maybe I would be able to get really good grades in high school. At the time I didn't know any famous writers, but I did know some of the great mystery writers of the 20th century -- Raymond Chandler, Dorothy Sayers, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and some others. (Sayers's Gaudy Night would become my favorite novel when I actually read it as an adult, though I didn't know it at the time.) When the school year came to an end, I went home, and over Thanksgiving my parents told me they would be leaving my sister and I home alone for a few days. This was a new experience for me. It would be the first time in a few years that I would spend Thanksgiving with my family. I decided to write a short poem that I thought Ms. Linton would like.
In a flash, I realized how difficult it would be. I didn't have much of a sense of what "good" was. My parents had told me at the beginning of the school year that I could write whatever I wanted, "as long as it's not about sex or drugs." So I wrote the poem about drugs, and my parents got mad at me for a while. I then wrote a poem about sex, and my parents took a while to get through that one, but they eventually read it and did not tell me I couldn't have written anything else. I wrote a poem about a girl who dies in a fire, and I knew Ms. Linton would like that.
I spent the entire day on the phone with her, because I had never written a poem for my school English class before and I wasn't sure what would happen. She seemed to like everything, and she told me that I'd done a "wonderful job." So I felt good that day.
Later I wrote many more poems for Ms. Linton, all of which had a similar theme -- I would write about my own life and the things that happened to me, with the goal of conveying a sense of something that I felt but couldn't quite say. These poems would later get printed, and Ms. Linton made copies to give to my other English teachers.
My parents returned from vacation that week, and were surprised to see the house in disarray. I told them that a bunch of kids at school had decided that I was their favorite English teacher because I was so cool.

13, 17, & 25 🦕 (dino just cause)
Thank you for the ask! 💕 (and here's an otter in exchange for the dino 🦦)
From this fanfic writer ask game
13. What are some of your writing and reading pet peeves?
I mostly am not fond of characters reduced to being a 'mary-sue'. :P What makes a char interesting to me is their flaws, so 'angel'-ifying them or making them 'perfect' is, though understandable, just something that annoys me. Also antagonising a char is like, not my thing either. Unless they have a clear motive, instead of just being a bad guy for no clear reason.
I also sometimes get a bit ruffled when finding grammatical errors (they're/their/there, wonton/wanton, your/you're, effect/affect, its/it's, wrong use of tenses, typos, punctuation mistakes, and that type of stuff), but it's never irked me that much bcs I totally understand as I make mistakes in writing, too. XD It just sometimes disturbs me and kinda yeets me off the story.
One of my writing pet peeves is having the urge to make the first draft as perfect as possible. Like, trying to perfect your work before the editing stage even begins. It makes me distracted as I have to constantly go up and down to revise little details like pacing, spelling, punctuation, etc. instead of finishing the fic first. Drives me insane. But I've learnt to handle that now, luckily!
17. What are your top 3 favorite tropes of all time?
Found family, h/c, and the nightmare trope. Ya know how it is. ;)
25. Got any ideas/spoilers for future WIPs you’re willing to share?
(I answered the same question here)
I know what you're aiming at, Harps. XD But oh well. Ask and ye shall receive. Here's another snippet from a WIP involving a certain dino and a certain croissant:
"I'm craving a croissant."
"Hm?" Tony turned his head from the Starkpad on his lap to pay attention to the sorcerer, who was currently looking up at him from a book he held in his hands.
"I'm craving a croissant," Stephen repeated, "Specifically the ones we bought from our trip to France last time."
"Oh, yeah," Tony remembered. The croissants they bought in France were a bit different than a normal croissant, they both could tell. It was buttery but not too buttery, and they taste best when still hot and fresh out of the oven. They were flaky and the layers were tender, but It was definitely the butter that stood out the most – the flavour of it was simply worth a chef's kiss.
"I can buy them and get them sent here if you'd like?"
"...Directly from France?"
Tony shrugged. "Billionaire, remember? I can make anything work." he smiled, "If my dear wizard wants croissants, he gets them."
Stephen chuckled.
"It's best if we eat them immediately after they're baked, though. You know it tastes better that way."
Tony hummed. Should he plan a trip to France because his wizard wanted croissants? Yes, yes he should.
"I'll get the jet ready." Stephen tensed a bit.
"Right now?"
"Yeah. You can pack your things up now," Tony stated, too casually, "How many days do you want to stay there?"
Stephen stared at him. "You know I could just open a portal, right?"
Tony made an 'ah' sound at the revelation. That sounded simpler. Thank god for magic.
(I should probs get this one done sooner or later haha XD XD)

Prose-ifying the Dream au
prompts: "…this was NOT my intention." / alternate timeline
fine i'll do a really basic outline of this thing
back in the day, the night before I played 5.2 specifically (but 5.3 had just come out or was just about to?), I had a dream spinning off a massive AU of xiv. Started off with Qahs'a dying instead of Haurchefant at the Vault, which obviously derailed literally everything. Haurchefant made it clear to his family that he wished he'd died instead, causing Edmont to have a bit of a "oh no i fucked up" meltdown, and ran off with the uh government toppling crew to "make up" for not saving Qahs'a.
The government toppling crew follows Thordan to the Sea of Clouds, sees Bismarck eat the key, and then wander around looking for ways to get at Bismarck. Meanwhile the Garleans just kinda… shoot Bismarck down and the key gets destroyed by the whole wild-air-and-water-aether thing.
[in the original dream, this is where the investigation leads alphinaud to varis in the vanu village and varis makes his guards kill alphinaud, but it had no real point so screw random angst]
Igeyorhm, realizing the key is lost, finally goes and wakes Emet-Selch up to get them into Azys Lla. Emet-Selch is very grumpy about everything, and unlocks the barrier. presumably he doesn't bother telling anyone how to get there, since the dream immediately completely drops the garleans existing as a plot point, and Thordan never gets far enough ahead to be an actual Threat.
Investigation team, finally figuring out that Thordan is ahead, go looking for Echoers since Thordan is trying to turn into a primal. Tataru has to go get Y'shtola alone, Alphinaud books it back to the Waking Sands for Arenvald (who is even more messed up, since his first three friends were A'aba, Aulie, and Qahs'a and now Qahs'a is dead too) while Estinien and Haurchefant go after Ysayle, who comes along mainly because…. Thordan sux and she's kinda the last one who can help.
Azys Lla basically goes the same. Garleans are missing, so no one gets left behind. Ysayle is pretty unsure of her own abilities since even Ravana beat Shiva, so everyone else goes along and hopes for the best. Estinien obliterates Igeyorhm with the Eye backing him up, Thordan eats Lahabrea as expected, they kill him since he doesn't try to temper anyone. Estinien just stabs eyes instead of picking them up, since he hates like everything about this. Oops Nidhogg's spirit is freed like a malm away from Tiamat, which really unsettles her.
Meanwhile, since they are very suddenly down THREE asicans, Elidibus starts bullying Emet-Selch into doing Something about the missing seats. my notes specifically say "and hey there's this really symbolic person who died recently. wouldn't it be really interesting to turn the 14th against the scions" and "emet-selch is just like "wait THEY got resurrected and no one told me. who decided this" and elidibus just ignores him because emet-selch is A Literal Mess"
So Emet-Selch uses his superspecialawesome soul finding sight and realizes that Qahs'a's soul isn't even in the Lifestream, he's stuck in Ishgard trying desperately not to possess anyone, like that Sahagin did. Emet-Selch shoves Qahs'a's soul back into his corpse, but qahs'a isn't……. right. He's basically catatonic or comatose or something nonresponsive. Emet-Selch pokes a little, then basically shrugs and sees if he can drag the Azem back out of the soul's basic self
Ishgard hates the new normal. All the new heroes are outsiders, bastards or heretics, or uh. estinien. the dream kinda timeskips, with the only real thing that's evident is Haurchefant and Ysayle are now scions.
The timeskip ends up with Scions accidentally stumbling on Elidibus, Emet-Selch, and the catatonic body of Qahs'a. Everyone has minor meltdowns over different things (Haur does NOT like seeing that the Ascians have Qahs'a, Thancred is [oh yeah they found thancred like mostly normal] fully aware of the issues of the Emperor of Garlemald being an Ascian, Y'shtola is just staring at body and going "i think that's actually Qahs'a somehow" with aethersight) and Emet-Selch takes Qahs'a and books it, leaving Elidibus to continue plotting with Warriors of Darkness somewhere else.
Emet-Selch just starts Hiding in the Dravanian Hinterlands, where Matoya starts spying on him via poroggos. Somehow, Y'shtola tracks Emet-Selch and Qahs'a down, and talks to them. At this point the dream revealed that Qahs'a was still there, just. not doing anything. because everything was Bad and he DIED and hasn't recovered so he's just. sitting. meanwhile, "what's going on is that emet-selch is rebelling as far as he can. he subconsciously does not want to temper qahs'a to zodiark's will, doesn't want to kill anymore" so sayeth the notes.
Dream logic being what it is, Y'shtola somehow communicates to Qahs'a that that is what's going on and then all three of them end up in front of Hydaelyn who is like "ok…" and then they figure out to remove tempering by sundering a piece of the tempered person off, but Hydaelyn needs re-powering, so she punts Qahs'a, Minfilia, and the Warriors of Darkness, over to the First to basically harvest the Light for her use. Minfilia and the WoDs hold back the flood, and Qahs'a immediately grabs Lightwardens, and dumps the light from them onto source!Hydaelyn, and when they've repaired the First, she immediately gives Qahs'a the power to untemper and he smacks Emet-Selch with untemperbeam immediately.
now-just-Hades immediately starts Plotting to untemper Elidibus as well, but this is approximately where I started waking up. They do untemper him, and the reason he wore white is because he's not from Amaurot but another city. Nothing really happens until the attack on Rhalgr's Reach except that Qahs'a manages to revive Minfilia (since this is like. 85 years before Ryne would be born, the First is entirely different) and recruit Ardbert and Cylva to become Scions and drag all three back to the Source just in time to save Literally Everyone. well. those three save Literally Everyone from Zenos, Qahs'a kinda isn't there for no visible reason. that's where the notes end so I must have woken up properly.
[this is a lie, there were some more notes on alisaie returning and discovering alphinaud was dead, and how qahs'a died on their birthday, and how she's glad that they did coils because she'd never forgive herself if her last conversation was the one in ul'dah, and later on how she's furious with hades for treating qahs'a like a tool, and resentful of qahs'a because he died and came back and alphinaud never will, but. again. I exised the pointless angst already]
the ACTUAL dream au is marginally different and cleaned up a... touch.... but I was having problems reconciling most of 5.3 with it. Still pondering.

Round 4 poll 3: the Bimodal Distribution from statistics vs Casey Murphey from the 2019-2020 Florida Mock Trial case: “State of Florida v. Casey Murphy”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda:
the Bimodal Distribution
First of all, it's a math concept. that is already pretty bizarre of a thing to be blorbo-ifying. Second of all, I don't know any calculus, and I don't consider myself a math person (because I hate arithmetic), but I really like this guy for some reason. I mean this graph clearly holds the secrets of the universe. don't you just want to l o o k at it . like you could solve everything in the world with that boy
Casey Murphey:
I have a lot of obscure mock trial blorbos but I’m going to start with Casey Murphy because I think they best encapsulate the depths of weirdness some of my blorbo relationships with these characters can get to. So to start, I have never been enrolled in a school in Florida. Or even anywhere near there. I visited a few times as a very little kid, but my schooling has been in the Midwest and the Northeast. I also was not remotely involved in high school mock trial in the 2019-2020 school year. I only know Casey Murphy because I used to be part of an online mock trial group that picked up the case a few years later. In fact, I took Casey as a witness as a joke because I had also been a defendant named Casey in the case we did before State v. Murphy. But Casey is my tragic scrungly. The autism took hold on them. BASICALLY they were a slightly “below average” kid grappling with the huge academic expectations their family had. Specifically, there was a college (Southern Coastal University) that their family had been going to for generations. But when Casey applied, they got waitlisted. They managed to make it in right before the school year started, but they were put on probation because of the short notice. A few weeks into the year, though, Casey was talking to their older brother Patrick (basically their closest friend) and they find out about a secret society called SCU Underground that their family has been in since it was founded. Originally called SCU for Change, it was a student activist group. They learn about some shady things happening at the school and how SCUU planned to combat it by holding a protest bonfire. Patrick invited Casey to the next meeting, and Casey was very excited to prove themself. Later psychological testing showed that Casey was among the most easily suggestible in society, so it’s clear that this was important to them. Here’s where things get unclear. All we know for certain is that Casey bought lighter fluid and vodka (likely using a fake ID considering they were only 18) from a liquor store. They brought those things, along with their laptop, in their backpack to the meeting. There was an argument which ended in someone named Cal Robbins storming out of the old student union building which the meeting was being held in. Then, the building burned down, and Casey came out later than everyone else before being arrested and confessing to burning down the building. The prosecution’s claim is that Casey brought the materials to burn down the building to prove their loyalty to the cause. They might have been influenced by Patrick to do it, but either way they actually committed the act. The defense’s claim, which I find more compelling as a story, is that the lighter fluid was to show that they were prepared for the bonfire, the vodka was as a peace offering considering that they were a new member, and the fire was caused by a projector overloading the old building’s power. Casey ran back in to get their laptop so they could continue their school work, and also didn’t know the layout as well as the returning members, so they came back out later than everyone else. Then they were arrested, treated poorly, and were coerced into a false confession because they were lead to believe Patrick would be found guilty if they didn’t. It’s all just so sad and angsty to me, especially seeing as they were found guilty at the trial I did so I always mentally fill in them being falsely imprisoned at the end. They just wanted to prove themself to their family, to step out of their brother’s shadow, and this is where it lead them. Also here’s my playlist lol https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2ccMwC9xV83ddZoANpejE1?si=nGtWp7MvS7WXJEWLMrBNVw Also also, like most mt witnesses, no canon gender or pronouns which is very cool of them

j, t, w?
lol hey just remembered that i had these from dec 19th lol i think i was just so mentally unwell at the time that i couldn't actually process the fact that i had asks and was capable of answering them even tho i literally reblogged the ask game lol anyways was going through my drafts and saw this and i'm MUCH better now so i went through and found the game and imma do it now <3
j - name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over tumblr. (you don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that tumblr made you aware of.)
so. many. i mean, most recently, bungou stray dogs, haha! but most of the anime i watched came from tumblr moots on the dash! y'all help introduce me to SO many things <3
t - do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
YES SO MANY i mean obviously all of my ts headcanons and neurodivergence ones, too, but also all the who eats tomatoes like apples hcs and okay i'll choose one specific one uhhhhh let's see... OH! cole ninjago actually doesn't like cake that much. the reason he was so excited about cake is that, we can assume, he had to be on a diet on some sorts growing up. maybe nota diet, but i'm sure lou would have a pretty sugar-free household due to how serious he took dancing, so i feel like cake was a special thing, right? and i hc that lilly LOVED cake and that's why cole got so excited and why cake is his go to sweet food - because it makes him think of his mom. whenever their family indulged in sweets, lilly and lou always chose cake. it's just a special thing for cole and he has a lot of nice memories with it! that's why he got so excited in "double trouble". he actually prefers a lot of other things to cake. and we can assume that marty oppenehimers prolly was even more restrictive and then cole ran away and prolly lived in the woods so like where's he going to get cake with what money with what bakery. anyways. i will DIE ON THIS HILL and is this partially spite... yes. but idc. i am correct.
w - a trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
i answered this here, but i can CERTAINLY answer it again <3 i hate the dynamic where it's like... one character is more depressed or traumatized than the other (which is SUCH a subjective argument to imply/make UGH) therefore they always cry and breakdown (and 9/10 times, the character they do this to wouldn't respond to their trauma this way so it's ooc) and the other one has to constantly protect or comfort them. i don't mind characters being protective of each other or comforting each other, but like. when the fandom seems to agree that one character's trauma is more important than another's it sucks and is so nasty. i remember trying to find fics for fandoms or ships or whatever and having SO much trouble because (depending on the character) almost every fic was them protecting or caring for the other and like... i get it. but dude. stop disrespecting the character you uwu-ified or babied. they'd hate you for babying them. let them actually process their trauma the way they Would. not everyone just cries all the time. ugh. let them express their emotions they way they genuinely would.

@neofent who wanted to know what I did for the crew.
First of all, they all canonically start out as like, the best in their field, so they're all pretty high levels.
Also, I fantasy-ified their names, and they sound super goofy, but that was part of the fun!
Elliott of Spencerlen
Level 18 barbarian
Mountain dwarf
Folk Hero background with rustic hospitality feature
Proficient in cooking utensils, smith's tools, and land vehicles
Grew up an average dwarf, working in his father's forge but desiring a chance to serve his people in a warrior's guild. He eventually joined one and completed several contracts with them, leaving behind a dwarven maiden to do so, but he did not return home when he left the guild. After being involved in so much battle, Elliott had found that he had a propensity for violence and now no longer knew what to do with himself outside of it. With that in mind, he joined an assassin's guild ruled by Damien Morgoth, a terrifying war lord turned guild leader. There, he would climb the ranks and hone his skills, eventually earning a terrifying reputation for some of the worst deeds imaginable. It took him a long time to leave that assassin's guild, even when he could no longer stomach the work, as Morgoth did not like to let his people go. However, Elliott did eventually disband from the guild and began retrieval work instead. He also refused to use tools specifically designed for battle and would no longer kill on his jobs. It was when he was doing this freelance mercenary work that he was hired by the same duplicitous man as the rest of what would come to be called the Leverage Guild, and the rest is history.
Sophielle Devaris
Level 20 bard
Wood Elf
Noble background with position of privileged feature
Proficient with the flute, lute, lyre, and playing card set
Much of her backstory is a mystery, as she has simply held so many identities that no one can be sure of the truth, sometimes not even her. However, there is reasonable certainty that Sophielle at the very least belongs to an elven royal family, though the exact blood relation is unknown. Regardless, Sophielle spent most of her adult life conning her way into whatever parties, gatherings, or other noble meetings sparked her fancy. There, she would work her literal and figural magic, gaining countless pieces of art, jewels, and trinkets without anyone realizing she had swindled them until she was already long gone. It was through her 'career' that she briefly met Nathaniel, though nothing ever came of the encounter other than shared arrow wounds. They meet again when Nathaniel recruits her into his band of thieves, and the rest is history.
Alexander, Son of Hardis
Level 17 wizard
Human
Sage background with researcher feature
Proficient with forger's kit and dulcimer (but only when hypnotized beforehand)
Was adopted into the Hardis Clan, led by a matriarch, whom we only know as 'Nana.' She took care of foundlings as a matter of course, before giving them the best mentor-ships she could find to hone their skills and sending them out into the world. Alexander, or Alec, as he prefers to be called (Hardisson is fine, too), learned from the most renowned wizards and sorcerers before leaving to make his own way. Unfortunately for his Nana, Alec's own way involved a lot more crime than she'd like. That is, until he meets the future members of the Leverage Guild, where, yes, he still does crime, but does it for a good cause. And the rest is history.
Parkir
Level 18 rogue
Half-elf
criminal/spy background with criminal contact feature
Proficient with dice set, thieves' tools, and land vehicles
Steals because she likes stealing.
Not much is known of her early years other than working her way through the realms' orphanages until she eventually ran away to live on the streets. Then, she became a cart driver for burglars and smugglers before transitioning into cart jacking as she grew older. It was then that Archibald the Magnificent, world's most renowned thief - and quite the cunning sorcerer, if he did say so himself - found her after she tried to pick his pocket, having no clue who he was. From then on, Parkir trained under Archibald, until he had made the next generation's master thief. He freed her unto the world, where she committed various high profile - yet completely inconspicuous - burglaries until she ran into the members soon to be called the Leverage Guild, and the rest is history.
Nathaniel of Oldford
Level 20 cleric
Human
Haunted one background with heart of darkness feature
Proficient with a dragonchess set
Follower of Savras, god of divination (and very bad at it)
Nathaniel grew up learning the streets thanks to his criminal father, Red-Handed Jimmy, though they had a falling out when he pursued the clergy. He did not end up completing official training and instead became an investigator for the Order of Ayewyess, where he met his former wife, Margaret the Wise. They had a son, Samuel, but he died of a magical disease, and the Order of Ayewyess knew of a mage that could cure said disease, but refused to hire him despite medical aid being part of his contract. This resulted in Nathaniel's marriage falling apart and his decent into alcoholism. At his lowest, he was hired by Victor of Dubenich to steal magical teleportation circle blueprints from a rival kingdom that had "stolen" them first. From the group hired for this job, came the members that would later belong to the Leverage Guild, as well as Nathaniel's personal addition of Sophielle Devaris. And the rest is history.
A couple other things to know:
Every party member started out with a maxed out ability score, regardless of how many more got maxed out as they leveled up. They were as follows:
Parker - dexterity, Alec - intelligence, Eliot - strength (I would have done constitution, but he needed to be as beefed up as possible since he wouldn't use real weapons), Sophie - charisma, Nate - wisdom
Nate would realistically be the "DM" in my opinion, as there is nothing else that really fits mastermind as a dnd class. I went with cleric because he did canonically almost become a priest, one of the ability scores for the class was wisdom, and I just made him a shitty cleric to make up for the fact that he's a cynical alcoholic with a god complex lol. Also, the team had no healer yet, and while the show's canon doesn't exactly need it, a dnd campaign sure does.
All of them know Thieve's Cant. It's up to you if Nate knew it through his work with Ayewyess or learned it from the team.
Parker has a special wand that mimics the spell "sleep" and can be used once a day
Other than Eliot's whole vibe, none of the characters were created with combat in mind and rather have a variety of spells and skills for cooperation, placation and defense. Battle is a last resort
i made the original leverage crew as dnd characters with my friend yesterday and just… the realization of the level of hyperfixation i was engaging in really threw me for a minute
