#duck speaks#it's very fun to do and like. think about what types of clothes they'd like to wear#and the things they'd pick out at a store with all sorts of clothes to choose from#it can be a way to get to know the character better also I think#especially for ocs. it's like a way to develop their character#what sort of clothes do they typically wear ? what textures and colors do they like in clothes ?#are they comfortable showing skin with their outfits ? do they get cold or hot easily ? what type of climate do they live in ?#is there a type of outfit they wish they could wear but are too scared/don't have the means or money to ?#do they normally dress more casual or more formal ? what would a formal or casual outfit be for them ?#what do they wear in the summer ? what about in the winter ?#what are their pajamas like ?#do they dress in fashion from a specific era ? what era are they from also ?#do they dress more feminine or more masculine ? a mix of both ?#do they wear the same/similar outfits over and over ? is there something they always wear no matter what outfit they have on ?#do they care a lot about their appearance and how other people see them ? how does that effect their outfits ?#lots of things to think about#also you should draw them in outfits for mee#I love outfits and I love to see them#you don't have to make them up from the top of your head even. you can have an idea for what you want and look it up for reference#I do this a lot#I'll go in pinterest and search up like. 70s fashion or 2010s teen fashion or something#and look around to get a better idea of what I'm going for#pinterest is nice because you can click on a image you like and it'll have similar ones under that :]

I drew a new profile pic for my main blog!
It's kinda a mix of all my fursonas + my kinsona (the husky that's a blend of a fursona and kinsona nowadays)! Like, I took the fluffy tail from Ice, the horns from BJ (ish), the eyebrows and eye shape from Vio, the clothing style from a mix of BJ and Ice, and the general husky-ness from my kinsona! And I really like how it turned out! <3 Hopefully now folks won't think I'm a bot LOL.

I thought I would take some time today to gather some flower refs for ffxiv prints, specifically flowers that matched the colors of job stones/soul crystals and BOY did it take a literal 3 hours to get all of them a match @ A @ ; and some of them are reaching LOL Like you want to find me a GREY, SEAFOAM, or GREEN HELLO? flower - too bad I did it already - but G O D. Some of the choices were like "oh wow, this flower matches the color and vibe of DRG perfectly. It even looks like a little snowflake to give Ishgard imagery and its spiky like the end of a lance!" but my favorite ones were "Oh GNB is yellow and mimosas are yellow and they're my fave, so :)" Hardest finds were NIN, MCH, and SAM T v T but i did it in the end. Everyone's got a flower match and hopefully I'll have enough drive to actually make these after all of this work LOL
#they were supposed to be really simple like here is a flower wreath around your job icon and a block of color#and now it's like HERE IS A SPECIFIC FLOWER MATCHING THE COLORS OF YOUR SOUL STONE AND ALSO MAYBE the symbol itself is the same kind of#material as the actual Soul Stone and well maybe it'll be FULL COLOR PAINTS instead of flat#so we'll see what i decide to do because i am super lazy but i've been wanting to do Job prints for ages now#i plan for them to be 4x4 prints u can put in 6x6 frames for a fun gallery effect if you buy all your fav jobs

does anyone know why laptop screen ouchies but phone screen yippee?
#this makes no sense but im currently falling asleep#tldr if i use my laptop for over an hour or so it induces really bad headaches if not migraines#but i can be on my phone literally 24/7 with no issues#tv is kind of a Middle point it depends on if the living room light hurts or not#neither device has night mode or reading mode activated. both have the bare minimum brightness i need to see#because higher makes my head hurt#i have glasses. they have a blue light filter. it does nothing. sometimes it makes the headaches Worse#is it smth stupid like the GHz of the screens or something#do i have to go through the hassle of poking around screen settings on my laptop#i just want to draw digitally again but literally every time i did i got a headache because of my laptop......#and the drawing factor makes me reluctant to mess with screen settings#in fear it'll mess with colors and i wont be able to tell til checking on anlther device after posting#tortilla rambles

#jic ur wondering why all of them are drawn w that same arms out legs semi open pose#do i obsessively worry about this to an unhealthy degree? yeah#do people not verbally tell me that seeing me draw the same pose over and over again is Boring or Lame or stupid or smth? yes but i get#like. stupidly anxious and start thinking about things like that which i obviously know probably isn't the case and that in actuality#no one cares about how i draw more than i do#but it's still difficult not to ruminate on thoughts of people subconsciously rolling their eyes at my art because its so plain and boring#and static and stiff and it doesnt feel lively and dynamic like the artists i aspire to be like#but then i also remember im only just starting my art journey. by this year I'll only have been drawing for 4 years. 4 YEARS.#which seems like alot honestly? especially w the progress I've made#but most; if not everyone who isn't me have spent 7+ YEARS of drawing and i remind myself that. oh#yeah! im on the same path they were#maybe they had the same issues i did#but ill get through it :) i want to experiment more this year w my art#i say that but i need to COMMIT#i need to commit. to actually put in effort to learn posing and perspective instead of trying to lazily scrawl color on a digital canvas#but it all seems so daunting#but; you know; in time it'll come. seeing the difference only a few months has done to my art is also truly refreshing#it lets me know that im still learning and improving my technique and that really helps iron out any anxieties i have.#sorry this got super rambly super quickly lol

Can't believe after the amount of shit talk that I did after this announcement, my dad pulled og steven from the ticket scout for me... the coincidence is insane lmao 😭
